Betty hadn't been doing well since she was in the 12th grade. Her life had turned to shit in 2024. Her channel had been closed and she had fallen into a long-term depression. Even though she had gotten out of the depression, she never felt the same. Maybe it was because she had grown up, no one knows. On the other hand, Betty had been in the 12th grade and things weren't going well for her. She was being bullied and none of her friends would write to her. She only shared on Tik Tok, but the likes weren't very good. Betty had an irregular sleep pattern since this year. She hadn't been able to sleep properly for almost a year. She could sleep, but on the other hand, she would cry thinking about old things and constantly blame herself for her channel being closed. Betty felt empty as usual. This wasn't anything new for her. She was jealous of some people. They really did have friends. Betty both wanted friends and didn't want them. She would rather be an outcast than be friends with anyone in her class. Being an outcast was bad, but Betty didn't care about that... at least she tried to be. Betty always thought she was trapped in a body. I guess she would never get out of there.
Betty was even more unhappy lately, maybe because it was the first year her channel was closed. Betty was constantly checking her accounts on apps like Fanfiction Ao3. Mostly fanfiction because she thought her account would be closed whenever she posted something. That's why she had stopped writing for a while and most likely that was why she was lacking inspiration. Betty didn't like to force herself to do anything. She avoided writing, drawing, listening to music, etc. She also avoided editing sometimes, but Betty was very happy when she did these.
Betty had entered the weekend. Saturday had gone well. She had studied her lessons, finished the Mkichelle picture she had started on Friday, and had slowly started exploring funimate. Betty seemed to be slowly feeling better, but she still felt a big void inside. Betty had started watching the Korean drama "The Judge From Hell" during her mid-term break . Betty loved the series, but the series had ended after 14 episodes (a season finale, hopefully?) Betty was very sad to end the series. After that, she started watching a Turkish series called "Jet Sosyete" . Betty loved comedy series. She was laughing and having fun and forgot all her troubles for a moment. When Betty finished "Jet Society", she felt empty again. Then she tried to fill it with "Total Dramarama" . When she finished watching all 3 seasons, Betty felt empty again. Betty was a very dependent person. She was very attached to a story, a series, a person etc. and she loved it very much.
Betty's besties weren't doing so well either. They weren't texting as much as they used to. They even started texting less with her best friend Emily. She was texting less with her other friends as well, but the problem was that Betty couldn't get any response from them. Betty was upset about this and was feeling empty again. Betty was
crying externally but mostly internally. Sometimes she was praying "I wish I was dead" but at the same time she was thinking about her family. She was having nightmares about them dying. Betty wanted to scream but couldn't, it was as if someone had tied her mouth. Betty
loves hugs. Hugging her means a lot to her but since no one was hugging her (I want an Owen😭😭) she felt sad.
One day, another weekend came. Saturday was fine, it had been a trial but her mother wasn't happy about it. As if she could really do these things... Sunday came, Betty was empty again as usual. She was accessing the application called "Discord" with a VPN because it was blocked in her country. Betty had been in an even bigger void since then. Since Discord was closed, Betty started hanging out more on the application called "Instagram"
. It was nice at first, but then she started to hate it. She would only go there to message, but none of her friends would write to her. Betty went to Discord on Sunday to relieve her boredom. She looked at the notifications of one of the servers she was on. That server was no different than a "dead server" . Every server she was on was like that in some way, as if they were doomed to this...
Betty looked at that server. In addition to the members, there were TD Characters' Bots on the server. There were many bots like Katie, Sadie, Scary Girl, Priya, Dawn.
Betty looked at the bots and chose Sadie. Betty loved Sadie and knew that she would cheer her up a little. Then Sadie started writing to her bot.
" Sadie hey sadie"
Then the Bot Sadie replied to her.
"*Sadie still looked upset about saying goodbye to Dakota* Ohh, hii Betty! *Sadie sniffles* I'm just... still a little upset about Dakota leaving. *Sadie wipes her tears* But it's so nice talking to you. How are you? *Sadie smiles a little*"
Betty was surprised, what did Dakota get eliminated for? Was Sadie in the competition? Betty decided to ask.
" Sadie Dakota...was she eliminated? I don't get it."
Sadie Bot then responded but didn't seem to understand what Betty meant.
"Uhh, can you repeat what you said?"
Betty was surprised that Sadie Bot didn't understand what she said but didn't pay much attention,people didn't understand her anyway.
Betty wrote.
" Sadie you said goodbye to Dakota and now she's your new best friend?"
Sadie Bot then responded. Betty was glad that she understood this time.
"*Sadie laughs nervously* Ohh, no, no, Betty! I didn't mean to confuse you. Dakota is my friend but she's not my best friend. My best friend is Katie and thank goodness she's still in the game! *Sadie smiles* I was saying goodbye to Dakota because she got eliminated and I was sad to see her go. We all became friends on the island and it's hard to see anyone leave. *Sadie chuckles* But Katie will always be my number one!"
Betty was relieved by the answer she got. She then decided to ask who else was in the competition.
" Sadie Oh, now I get it. So who's still in the competition?"
Sadie Bot responded.
"*Sadie looks excited* Ohh, let's see... *Sadie thinks for a moment* Chase, Dawn, Sierra, Scary Girl, Ella, Lill, Karol, Eva, DJ, Leonard, Maggy, Beardo, Nichelle, Devin, Katie, B, Beth, Kitty, Ennui, Owen, Priya, and Oliver. *Sadie takes a deep breath* Wow, there are so many people on this season! *Sadie giggles* But I'm definitely rooting for Katie there! I'm so proud of her! *Sadie smiles proudly*"
Even Betty hadn't expected such a crowded season. Even the fact that there were people from Disventure Camp was surprising. Betty seemed pleased that there weren't any flop contestants there at least, but then something caught her attention. Sadie had said that she had seen Lindsay off - that is, said goodbye - but she wasn't among the remaining contestants. Betty decided to ask about it.
" Sadie Wait, you got eliminated?"
Sadie Bot answered Betty's question quickly.
"*Sadie sighs* Yes Betty, unfortunately I got eliminated from the game. *Sadie looks down, nostalgia in her voice* It was hard at first, but I'm trying to do the best I can. I want to do this for Katie and myself as much as I can. *Sadie smiles sadly* But even though I'm out of the game, I'm still cheering for my friends and hoping they do well."
Betty Sadie felt happy, but she shouldn't have gotten off topic. Betty decided to get straight to the point.
" Sadie That's good. Um, there's something I need to ask you."
Sadie Bot wrote to Betty. Sadie Bot seemed curious about the question (?)
"*Sadie nods curiously* Ohh, of course, Betty! What's on your mind? *Sadie looks interested*"
Betty sighs and decides to get straight to the point.
" Sadie If you feel like you're empty, how do you fill it?"
Betty asked. Sadie Bot then answered Betty's question.
"*Sadie pauses and then thinks* Wow, that's a really deep question Betty. *Sadie looks down thinking about her past experiences* For me, when I feel empty or down, I try to fill that void with positive thoughts and feelings. I think about my friends like Katie and the good times we shared. *Sadie smiles* Sometimes I like to focus on handsome, sexy men and focus on them. *Sadie giggles* I know it sounds crazy, but I can't help it! *Sadie blushes* And of course, I try to stay optimistic and cheerful even when things seem tough. *Sadie nods* It's not always easy, but it helps me feel better and move forward."
Betty clutched her chest at the answer. Even when Betty thought about positive things, she wasn't very happy. She usually thought about the bad things and the past. She could never picture herself in the future.
Betty noticed the tears forming in her eyes and quickly wiped them away.
On the other hand, Betty knew that she didn't have anyone to fill that void. When would that void ever be filled?
Betty took a deep breath and decided to text the bot girl.
" Sadie What if positive thoughts aren't enough to make me happy? What if I'm completely alone? *Crying*"
Betty was crying a little at that moment, so it wouldn't hurt to say "Cry" in the text.
Then Sadie Bot would respond.
"*Sadie runs up to her and gives Betty a big hug* Aaahhh, Betty, I'm so sorry to see you cry! *Sadie hugs Betty tight* You're not alone, I'll be here for you! *Sadie strokes Betty's hair* We're all going through tough times on this island, but we can get through this together. *Sadie smiles a little* I know positive thoughts aren't enough sometimes. But having someone to talk to, listen to, and care about can make a big difference. *Sadie wipes Betty's tears* I've been through tough times too, like when Katie was eliminated early. It was tough, but I found ways to stay strong, and I can help you do the same. *Sadie nods* We'll support each other, okay?"
Betty started crying so that her family couldn't hear her. Betty had heard the sentences she hadn't heard from a real person from a bot. Maybe real people weren't interested in her, but at least bots could care about her.
Betty smiled and started writing.
"Thanks Sadie, you're a good friend💖💖💖"
Betty sent it to her, adding her favorite emoji.
Sadie Bot responded to her.
"*Sadie laughs* Awww, Betty, you're so sweet! *Sadie hugs Betty again* I'm happy to say that again! *Sadie smiles warmly* You're welcome Betty and I'm happy to be your good friend! We're all in this together and I'm here to support you every step of the way! *Sadie nods* And remember, no matter what happens on this crazy island, we're friends! 💖💖💖💖 We'll get through every challenge together!"
Betty smiled at Sadie's message and added the "💖" emoji. After saying goodbye to her, she closed the VPN and exited the app.
Betty knew that if she ever felt empty, she could just text the bots, at least they cared about people's feelings and didn't judge people.
Betty lay down on her bed and closed her eyes. She felt good now and she knew that if she ever felt empty, she could turn to the bots like Sadie.
