Deep beneath the Earth's surface, in a secret containment facility, alarms blared and lights flashed red. Something had gone catastrophically wrong. SCP-682, the infamous "Hard-to-Destroy Reptile," had broken free from its restraints, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

"Containment breach!" the voice over the intercom screamed. "SCP-682 is loose! All personnel evacuate immediately!"

The doors to the facility slammed open, and the Fantastic Four—Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm—rushed in, fully suited up and ready for action.

Reed, also known as Mr. Fantastic, stretched his body to scan the monitors lining the control room, his expression grim. "This thing is dangerous. Its regenerative abilities are off the charts—nothing's been able to stop it for good."

Ben Grimm, the hulking, rock-skinned Thing, cracked his knuckles, a grin spreading across his face. "Sounds like a job for us. Let me get my hands on it."

"Ben, this thing is no joke," Reed warned, zooming in on footage of SCP-682 ripping through reinforced steel walls like paper. "We need a strategy, not brute force."

"Yeah, yeah," Ben grumbled. "But if strategy don't work, clobberin' time it is."

Meanwhile, Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, was already grinning with excitement. "What's the worst this thing can do? Toast it from the inside out? I've dealt with bigger monsters before."

Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman, hovered nearby, her brow furrowed with concern. "This isn't a monster we can just beat down. It hates all life. And its only goal is to destroy everything around it."

Reed pulled up a map of the facility. "Alright, team, we're dealing with something unlike anything we've ever faced. Sue, I'll need you to use your force fields to contain it. Johnny, you'll provide fire support and keep it distracted. Ben, you'll be our heavy hitter—if it gets too close, knock it back. I'll see if I can find a way to neutralize its regenerative ability."

"Got it," Sue said, eyes narrowing with determination.

The four of them made their way into the central containment chamber where SCP-682 had been held. The destruction was staggering—walls were torn apart, machinery lay in ruins, and the ground shook as the massive reptilian beast moved through the wreckage.

SCP-682 stood in the center of the room, its grotesque, hulking form covered in spiked, armored scales. Its eyes glowed with a terrifying, malevolent intelligence, and its massive jaws dripped with acid, hissing and sizzling as it hit the ground. The creature let out a guttural roar that reverberated through the chamber.

Johnny flew up, flames erupting around his body. "Time to heat things up!" he shouted, launching a stream of fire at SCP-682. The flames engulfed the creature, but it barely flinched. Instead, it turned toward Johnny with a murderous gleam in its eyes and opened its maw wide.

"Oh, come on!" Johnny groaned, diving out of the way as SCP-682 spewed a stream of acid in his direction. The acid hit the wall, burning straight through the reinforced steel.

"It's adapting," Reed called out. "Johnny, stay clear of its acid. Sue, try to trap it!"

Sue raised her hands, and a shimmering force field surrounded the creature, holding it in place. SCP-682 roared, slamming its massive tail against the force field, but Sue held strong, her face strained with effort.

"I don't know how long I can keep it contained," she muttered, sweat beading on her forehead as the creature thrashed violently.

"That's okay," Ben said, stepping forward, his voice a growl. "I'll handle it from here."

With a battle cry, Ben charged forward and slammed his fist into SCP-682's side with enough force to shatter boulders. The beast was knocked back, slamming into the wall, but its body quickly reformed, the scales knitting themselves back together almost instantly.

"Great. Just great," Ben muttered. "Thing won't even bruise!"

SCP-682 lashed out, its massive claws swiping at Ben, but he raised his rocky arms to block the attack. The force of the blow sent him sliding back across the floor, but he didn't go down.

"Come on, ugly," Ben grunted. "I'm just getting warmed up!"

Reed, meanwhile, stretched himself up to a nearby console, frantically typing in commands. "Its regeneration is faster than we anticipated. We need something more than brute force to stop it."

As he searched for a solution, the creature let out another horrifying roar, shattering Sue's force field with a surge of raw power. Sue staggered back, gasping, as SCP-682 leaped toward her.

"Sue!" Reed shouted.

But before SCP-682 could strike, Johnny swooped in, surrounding the creature with a massive ring of fire. "Not so fast, lizard breath!"

The flames slowed the creature down, but it continued to press forward, its body adapting to the heat. Its scales began to harden, becoming resistant to Johnny's fire.

"Reed, whatever you're gonna do, do it fast!" Johnny yelled.

Reed's eyes lit up as he finally found the answer. "The regeneration—the key is its molecular structure. If we can disrupt that, we might be able to slow it down enough to stop it."

"How?" Sue asked, breathing heavily as she regained her focus.

"We need to hit it with a blast of high-frequency energy, something that can destabilize its molecular bonds. There's an energy cannon on the lower level—we can modify it to fire the frequency we need, but someone has to lure SCP-682 into position."

"That's where I come in," Ben said with a grin. "Let's clobber this thing."

As Johnny kept SCP-682 distracted with bursts of flame, Ben charged at the creature again, this time focusing on pushing it toward the energy cannon. SCP-682, enraged, lunged at him, but Ben grabbed hold of its tail and yanked it back with all his strength, slamming the creature into the ground.

"Now!" Reed shouted.

Sue activated the cannon, and a high-pitched hum filled the room. A blast of pure energy shot out, striking SCP-682 square in the chest. The creature let out a deafening scream as its body began to destabilize, its scales peeling away, and its regeneration slowed.

It writhed in agony, trying to pull itself together, but the energy blast kept it pinned in place.

For a moment, it seemed like they had won. But even as the creature weakened, its hatred only grew. It glared at the Fantastic Four with burning, furious eyes, its voice a deep, guttural snarl.

"You think… you can stop me?" SCP-682 hissed, its voice dripping with malice. "I am eternal. I will destroy everything."

Reed's face tightened. "Not today."

With a final surge of energy, the blast hit SCP-682 at full power. The creature's body convulsed, and for the first time, it seemed to weaken significantly, its form flickering as it struggled to regenerate.

Finally, SCP-682 collapsed, its massive body limp. The containment alarms blared, and reinforced restraints shot out of the walls, locking the creature back into place.

"We did it," Sue breathed, her shoulders sagging with relief.

"Is it dead?" Johnny asked, cautiously landing on the ground.

Reed shook his head. "No. But it's contained. For now."

Ben rubbed the back of his neck, staring down at the fallen creature. "Well, that's one ugly customer I hope we never have to deal with again."

Reed nodded, but there was a lingering unease in his eyes. "SCP-682 will recover. And when it does, we'll have to be ready. This thing can't be killed—not easily."

As the team regrouped, they knew the battle wasn't over. SCP-682's hatred for all life was boundless, and it would never stop. But for now, they had won a crucial victory.

And next time, they'd be even more prepared.
