Chapter 4: A Cloudy Departure - Revelations and Regrets

The day to pick Bingo up at the hospital had arrived. At 8 am in room 413, Bingo!Chara sat quietly accompanied by the doctor. The weather outside is cloudy, hinting at an impending rain shower.

As they waited for someone to pick up Bingo, the doctor reviewed her chart, his expression is grave. Suddenly, the door in that room creaked open, and Bandit entered accompanied by Chilli. They exchanged worried glances as they approached the doctor who was accompanying Bingo!Chara.

"Good morning, doctor," Bandit greeted, his voice heavy with concern. "What is the state and condition of Bingo now?"

The doctor sighed, his gaze shifting between Bandit and Chilli. "Well, she's stable for now, but her condition remains delicate. We've done all we can for her here, but she'll need constant care and monitoring at home."

Chilli nodded, Her face was full of gratitude. "Thank you for everything you've done for her," she said softly, her voice trembling with emotion.

After a brief discussion about Bingo's condition over the past two weeks, Bandit and Chilli thanked the doctor and prepared to leave. As they escorted Bingo!Chara out of the hospital, they exchanged somber glances, silently acknowledging the weight of their collective grief.

Once outside, they made their way to their red SUV parked nearby. Bandit helped Bingo!Chara into the backseat, his movements gentle yet purposeful. As they drove home, an uneasy silence settled over them, broken only by the sound of raindrops beginning to patter against the windshield.

Bingo!Chara hesitated, wanting to break the silence. "Um... thank you for coming to get me," she ventured, her voice tentative.

Bandit glanced at her in the rearview mirror, his voice was gentle "you're welcome, it's no problem" but his expression was unreadable. "But We'll talk more when we get home,"he replied curtly, his tone final.

Sensing his reluctance to converse further, Bingo!Chara fell silent, resigning herself to wait until they reached the safety of their home.

Upon arriving home, Bandit and Chilli led Bingo!Chara inside, where Bluey eagerly awaited them. As they settled into the living room, Bluey's eyes widened in surprise at the sight of her sister in front of her.

"Bingo! You're back!" she exclaimed, rushing forward to embrace her sister. But as she drew closer, she noticed the subtle differences in Bingo's demeanor, with a hint of uncertainty in Bingo's eyes.

Bingo... or Chara returned the hug awkwardly, her mind racing with thoughts of how to explain her presence to her family. Moreover, she also didn't know why she was alive again in another body in the first place.

The room fell silent as Bingo!Chara took a deep breath, steeling herself for the difficult conversation that lay ahead later. And as she prepared what would happen next, she couldn't help but wonder, how they reacted to the conversation that seemed like it was about to happen soon.

When the Heeler family gathers in the living room upstairs, tension hung heavy in the air, each member grappling with their own emotions in the wake of Bingo's tragic accident. Bluey sat on the couch, her claws tapping nervously against the fabric as she tried to suppress the overwhelming guilt threatening to consume her.

"Bluey, sweatheart, please try to stay calm," Chilli advised gently, placing a comforting hand on her daughter's shoulder. "We need to talk about everything that's happened in the last few days."

Bandit nodded in agreement, his expression grim. "Your mum's right, Bluey. We can't keep avoiding this conversation. We need to face it together," he urged, his voice tinged with sadness but Determined.

Bluey nodded silently, her throat tight with emotion. She knew they couldn't avoid the inevitable conversation any longer, no matter how painful it might be.

As they all have settled into the sofa available in the family room, each member of the Heeler family exchanged uncertain glances, unsure of how to begin. Bandit cleared his throat, breaking the silence that hung heavy in the air. "I suppose... one of us should start," he suggested, his voice faltering slightly.

Chilli nodded in agreement. "Yes, we need to talk about what really happened. (Sigh) OK, who wants to start this conversation? " she murmured.

Bingo!Chara suggested tentatively, "Maybe... maybe I should start the conversation. I need to know... what really happened before I woke up in the hospital."

With a heavy sigh, Bandit nodded in agreement. "Alright Bingo, ...or Chara. Let's start from the beginning," he began, his voice thick with emotion. "It all began on a seemingly normal day, when Bluey and Bingo were playing games together..."

And so, one by one, Bandit, Chilli, and Bluey took turns recounting the events that led up to Bingo's tragic accident. Each story was punctuated with feelings of sadness, guilt, and regret, as they grappled with the harsh reality of their actions and the consequences they wrought.

Bandit recounted the tension between the sisters during their competitive games, his heart heavy with the weight of his own failures as a father. Chilli spoke of her attempts to calm the escalating situation, her voice trembling with sorrow as she relived the moment she realized she couldn't protect her daughter from harm.

And finally, Bluey recounted the final moments before the accident, her voice choked with tears as she admitted her role in Bingo's untimely demise. "I... I pushed her," she confessed, her words barely audible through her sobs. "I didn't mean to... I just wanted her to leave me alone..."

As the truth of their shared tragedy hung heavy in the air, the Heeler family clung to each other, seeking solace in the fragile bonds of love that held them together in their darkest hour. And as they wept for the loss of their beloved Bingo, they vowed to carry her memory in their hearts forever, a beacon of light in the shadow of their grief.
