Disclaimer: I own nothing in the story, I do have to say that I'm not truly happy about what I found out regarding Misty's parents, even more so at the fact they actually abandoned her and her sisters. That's just cold yet people say Goku is a terrible father just because he's absent (well the only reason he was absent was because he died twice in the entire Dragon Ball franchise but that's going off topic a little)… even more so as Jessie's mother Miyamoto when though she put her only daughter Jessie up for adoption, she still genuinely cared for her even before disappearing during a mission to capture Mew for Madame Boss (aka Giovanni's mother in the anime's universe as well as Team Rocket's leader before him) as I learned from EmperorDraco7.
As for the upcoming 21st movie, I don't know what to make of it at first (and the fact Gary was replaced with Cross as Ash's main rival in the 20th movie and how Cross is the one who abandoned Charmander in it instead of Damian really rubbed me the wrong way as if Brock and Misty being replaced with Sorrel and Verity wasn't already enough although I have to admit that the animation looked better than in Sun and Moon) so it's best for me to wait till it comes out before I can say anything about it as I will give that film a chance.
Chapter 8: Iris fail Cilan's sacrifice
"Huh?" wondered Professor Samuel Oak, not believing what he was hearing as he had been in a conversation with Cilan's brothers Chili and Cress as well as to Professor Juniper, her father Cedric Juniper, Professor Spencer Hale and Dr. Fennel regarding the infection that had been spreading throughout the Pokémon World. "Are you sure about this?"
"We're positive, from what we've discovered it seemed that it's evolving much faster than we initially believed," Professor Juniper informed Kanto's Professor with a frown on her face from at Nuvema Town as she hoped Trip, Cheren, Bianca, Hilda and Nanette were able to find a way to stay safe from the virus knowing how deadly it was right now. "Tell me, you heard anything from Ash or the others?"
"Unfortunately it seemed that both Misty and Iris are worried for Ash and their other friends to the point where they're willing to head out to find him," Oak shook his head as he knew that he needed to inform the woman about what the two female Trainers were planning to do even though they would risk becoming infected like everyone else in the Pokémon World. "Misty had already left the Cerulean Gym as it turned out."
"Does she have any means of protecting herself?" asked Spencer as his wife was in Molly's room doing what she could to reassure their daughter and her Teddiursa that everything's going to be fine. "Even if she has Pokémon to help her with the hybrids, it might not be enough to keep the virus from her."
"This also applies to Iris and her own decision as well," added Cress, frowning at the fact he learned of not only the Tomboyish Mermaid's action but also what the dark-skinned girl wanted to do too. "I really hope Clair would be able to convince her not to go through with going to find Ash because she'll surfer the same fate that most of the planet did."
Tracey had a look of concern on his face, especially remembering when he found out from his girlfriend Daisy of Misty departing the Cerulean City Gym after hearing what happened to Ash. "Misty's sisters already tried to talk Misty out of that but it didn't work out," he informed the blue-haired connoisseur from Striation City. "We learned this after we spoke with Ash's mom earlier."
"Not to mention that Cilan mentioned Iris' decision when I called Brock on his PokéGear since the Pokémon Center he, Brock, Clemont and Bonnie were in had been attacked by hybrids," Oak continued since he hopped that Brock brought some of his best Pokémon such as Steelix, Crobat, Luddicolo and Forretress since with the way things were going it's going to get far worse before it eventually got better. "I'm just glad the four managed to escape and without being infected and many others got out as well."
"I see," said Cress, a weight being lifted at hearing his and Chili's brother was still okay but even they didn't know for how long given the current circumstances. "Well thank god that Cilan and his friends were able to survive."
"Well he is your brother after all and he managed to save the Striaton Gym as I remember hearing from Professor Oak," commented Fennel with a smile on her face since it's clear Cilan, Brock, Clemont and Bonnie were able to take care of themselves so far what surprised her was Bonnie since the blonde-haired little girl wasn't a Pokémon Trainer at all yet was looking after Dedenne a Pokémon that her older brother caught at the start of Ash's journey through Kalos. "I'm sure they'll be able to hold out for a little longer and maybe help us find a way to create an antidote for the virus."
Cress and Chili nodded to Fennel, they hadn't forgotten about Cilan having defeated the Ice-Type user Morana at the Decolore Islands which made them smile. "Let's hope you're right, Dr. Fennel." the red-haired male connoisseur replied to the female scientist as he was still worried for his green-haired brother like any family member was.
Meanwhile no one had any idea what was going on as both Sherry and Dawn talked on what the next move they needed to make but also knew that they needed to talk to Ash on what they should do next, with Sherry knowing Ash would want to find the others.
Speaking of Ash he had just started to wake and felt two pairs of arms as he just opened his eyes to see what it was and to his shock it was both May and Serena as last night events soon came back to Ash and he knew what he had done.
Ash just began to panic he was not sure what had come over him last night, all he could remember was the sent that came off from the two females he had grown to know and then he felt a lust grow in him as he looked at May and Serena in their new forms, which strangely attracted to them.
Which he still did and knew he was losing his human mind slowly thanks to this virus. "No I can't I need to fight this thing, I can't let it beat me and make me into some monster." he thought as he remembered the hybrids he has seen so far and what they wanted to do as well.
His thought turned to Dawn and even Sherry and his new instincts wanted him to go down and make them his mates and Ash knew he needed to shake the thought from his head or he would end up like the others.
He soon looked over to May, as he saw she was starting to wake up from her slumber and the first thing that she saw as she woke up was her loving mate Ash, all May could do was look at him and knew that they had sex last night which just made her smile as she placed her hand on her stomach. "Soon we shall be a family," May thought with a smile but knew all too well that some were missing. "I just need to get Misty and Dawn to let go the way Ash has."
That thought alone made her giggle on the inside as she knew that Dawn was here in this home that they had right now he just had to help Dawn like she had done so with Serena. "Misty will be harder as she will be at her home most likely." May thought once more, but for now at this moment in time with her mate.
Ash, for his part just looked at May seeing her rub her eyes as she looked at him with a smile on her face and Ash knew that May remembered what all three had done last night. "May..." Ash began but was stopped when May puller her lover into a hug pressing her breasts against Ash's chest.
May hearing Ash call her name just looked up at him with a smile still thinking that Ash had now been freed from that silly way of thinking like a human just like she when had became like this and now she loved being an Eevee hybrid and hoped that Ash loved the form that he now had as May knew that she did as she licked her lips seductively wanting to have more fun with her mate later on.
Shocked at this Ash just held May and looked at her in the eyes seeing the look of lust and wildness in May's eyes, any part of her human mind was not there she was as wild as a Pokémon would be and it worried him greatly. "I'm so happy what we did last night Ash, now life is going to grow inside me and our new race shall grow." May said with a content smile on her face, as she soon looked to Serena who had the same smile on her face even if she was still sleeping right now.
Ash was worried hearing this from May and knew that Serena might also be the same as May right now, as said girl was also starting to wake up as well as she looked at Ash and May seeing both were awake now too. "You two..." Ash began he was getting more and more worried and knew that this was a fate that awaited him, Dawn and Sherry and many others who had a human mind. "This is not right I mean look at us." Ash said as he gestured to his body and then their own.
May didn't like this however knowing that Ash was still thinking like a human something that she didn't like at all and made her frown. "Ash please, you need to stop thinking like this." She said as she looked at Ash not liking this at all knowing she liked what she had become. "Serena likes what she is now I showed her that before you helped save Dawn and brought her back here."
Serena nodded as she moved next to Ash and like May, she didn't like how Ash was thinking like a human still. "May is right Ash, you need to just let go it feel so freeing to be like this." She said with a smile of her own trying to make herself look sexy in front of Ash so he would let go of his human mind.
May just smiled as she looked to her sister mate as she smiled at Serena happy to hear this from her. "You see Ash, we love what we have become after all and we are better like this after and more free then we would have been if we stayed human after all," She said as she got on all fours and moved closer to him. "Just let it go Ash we can all be happy together." May said as she was now hoping that he would they needed to still help Dawn and Sherry after all.
Serena nodded as she remembered what May had told her. "Plus we can all be together now after all." Serena added as she hugged May from behind not caring her own breasts were pressing up on May's back right now.
Ash however got off the bed and looked at May and Serena hating this and knew that he had to ask Sherry who had caused this to happen. "NO! This is still wrong you two, I mean look at the ones who have died thanks to the transformation we have gone under and all the Pokémon that could have been killed as well and our own friends as well." Ash cried out knowing that Brock and the others were still out there somewhere.
The two hybrid girls looked at each other and then Ash as they just smiled at him. "They will be fine Ash," May said with a smile as she knew Ash was worried for the rest of their friends. "Right now I think we need to get Misty, oh I just want her so badly right now." May said with a happy sigh.
It was then that Dawn and Sherry came into the room upon hearing Ash having cried out and saw to their shock that Ash was in bed with May and Serena. "Oh great," muttered Sherry with a frown on her face and Dawn having that same expression.
"A-Ash, what's going on here?"
"Dawn, Sherry…." muttered Ash as he saw the reactions that the two girls that came into the room had and hoped that they wouldn't get the wrong idea regarding what transpired between him, May and Serena. "It's not what it looks like…"
"It's about time you two showed up," May spoke up with a smile forming, glad that the other two female hybrids had arrived since she was beginning to think that she and Serena were to have some fun with Ash without them which only left Misty remaining provided that they would be able to find a way to get her out of the Cerulean Gym... maybe even her sisters while they were at it. "Now we can make it a foursome, plus Ash can join in."
"Not to mention that we've been planning something extra special too," added Serena, having the same smile that May had since she looked forward to the sex that she wanted to have with the ones she loved. "And you get to be part of it as well when the time comes."
"Wait, what are you saying?"
May and Serena shook their heads, feeling it would spoil the surprise if they told Sherry and Dawn right away. "You'll find out soon enough," the former brunette-turned Eevee hybrid replied with a seductive smile on her face as she wanted it to be more fun when Misty became like them and they were all by Ash's side. "Who knows, maybe you'll enjoy it when it happens."
The comment made Ash frown even more; especially as he knew that they wanted Misty to join them and prayed that the orange-haired girl doesn't come looking for them. "If anything I'm actually hoping Team Rocket shows up for once." he thought, praying the Team Rocket trio would strike at them like they did countless times before since it was only a matter of time before he, Dawn and Sherry eventually fell victim to their hybrid urges and they all ended up like the many others that had giving in to their new urges.
Brock was hoping to make contact with his family at the Pewter City Gym; hopefully they knew to stay put given how he's still worried that Misty and Iris wanted to go look for Ash. "Mom, dad, Forrest… is anyone there?" he asked, praying that at least one of his family members would answer and that the virus hadn't gotten them beforehand.
Cilan, Clemont and Bonnie stayed silent as the former Pewter City Gym Leader used his PokéGear in an effort to contact his family and if anything he could see about having his best Pokémon such as Steelix, Crobat, Forretress and Luddicolo sent to him provided he and the others find another Pokémon Center in order for that to happen since the one they were previously in was attacked by Hybrids. "It's okay, Dedenne" the blonde-haired little girl reassured the frightened Electric/Fairy-Type in her arms although she was a bit scared herself as this wasn't anything she and her brother Clemont had ever experienced before in their entire lives. "Everything's going to be okay, I promise."
"Damn it," cursed Brock, still having no luck with getting in touch with his family as he feared something terrible might've happened to them which would put him, Ash, Misty and the Team Rocket trio being stuck on the St. Anne when it sank into the bottom of the ocean look like nothing. "Please answer…."
He's just about ready to give up when he heard a voice on the other side. "Brock, is that you?" it was his mother Lola which made the former Pewter Gym Leader somewhat relieved to hear her voice.
"Yeah mom, it's me" he replied, which gave him some hope that Flint, Forrest and the rest of their family were alright since not only were most of Brock's Pokémon at the Pewter Gym under his younger brother's care but he figured that Lola would have her Water-Type Pokémon there to in case they got attacked by hostile hybrids. "How's dad and the others… Are they with you?"
"They are, although he and Forrest are doing what they can to keep them calm," responded Lola as the former Gym Leader could tell that his mother was concerned and he didn't blame her given how things had turned out by far plus the fact that Oak was doing what he could with help from the other Professors to create a cure made things a little better but it wouldn't do them any good if they too got infected. "So far, they aren't having much luck with that."
"I know how you feel," said Brock, knowing he should at least let Forrest, Flint and Lola know about the news he had to share with them given that Cilan already told his brothers Chili and Cress about the matter back at the Pokémon Center before it got attacked. "My friends and I are doing what we can to hold out until Professor Oak has an antidote ready for everyone who got infected."
"I see… wait a minute, I thought you were by yourself. Did you meet with Ash and his Pikachu again?"
"Well yes, unfortunately there's something you should know." Brock started to speak, feeling that he needed to tell his family what happened regarding Pikachu, Ash and Serena… hopefully Forrest wouldn't try to do what Misty and Iris were doing as he already had enough to worry about already without one of his younger siblings becoming a victim of the virus. "He and one of his companions from Kalos, Serena, had gone missing and I think there's a possibility that they've been infected… I just don't know for sure."
His mother gave a sad sigh at hearing this but knew he needed to move quickly as Lola looked at her son. "Brock listen you and anyone you're with need to move fast," She began with a frown on her face, knowing the real danger her son and anyone he would be in. "I know you may want to look for your friends but…"
Brock didn't like the sound of the way his mother was talking and knew that maybe just maybe his friends had all been infected with this virus that was spreading over the planet now, but it was still slow and from what he had seen it do to people. "I know mum they most likely would either kill us or infect us."
Lola knew this was something Brock hated and she just hoped that Brock and the others he was with could get to safety. "Brock they are setting up a blockaded close to where you are to do what they can to make sure none of the Hybrids can get out head there."
Brock nodded knowing he needed to tell the few people that he was with right now knowing the survivors were all scared right now on what is going on but for Brock at least they knew there was new hope. "Okay mom thanks, just please make you and the others all stay safe."
Lola nodded hoping her son would be fine and he would get back to them as well and knew that is all she could do for him. "Okay Brock, but please be safe we are all still worried the blockaded should be a day and a half from your location." she said before she ended her call.
With the call ended Brock looked over to Cilan, Clemont and Bonnie and a few other survivors that managed to escape from the Pokémon Center many of which were still frightened over the attack as many people had been lost in the attack.
"Okay look my mom said that they have set up a blockaded so all we need to do is just get there and then we should be safe." Brock said as he looked at everyone present and they all nodded some already getting to their feet.
Knowing that they needed to move everyone knew it would take a good day and a half to reach the blockaded just as his mother told him, as they all soon packed up what they had and slowly moved deeper into the forest.
It still made many of them worried as they knew their loves ones and friends from the city were now lost, a thought they all hated. "Big brother, are we really going to leave Ash and Serena?" Bonnie asked as she looked to Clemont.
Clemont just looked to his sister and he was not sure what he can say knowing she was still young after all, but for now he would wait to tell her until they were safe. "Bonnie I'll tell you once we are is a safe location." He said with a sad frown on his face as he looked to his little sister.
Meanwhile Iris had just arrived hearing what was going on it was a pain getting here but hearing what had been going on and that her friends were all here and who know what the hell had happened to them made her worry for them.
"I'm just happy I got away while Clair was busy." Iris said as she landed close to the town in which her friends were at she landed on the ground thanks to her Dragonite bring her here, as she looked at her Pokémon with a smile on her face. "Thanks Dragonite better return just in case." Iris said taking out her Pokéball and recalled her Dragon type Pokémon.
Once her Pokémon had been returned, Iris soon looked around knowing she needed to help her friends as from what she could remember Cilan and Dawn were here and from the information she heard from Clair was Ash and maybe others.
Just then Iris soon heard something in the distance as she began to look around and feeling very worried right now on just what it was hoping it was none of the infected or at the very least she was hoping it one of her friends. Sadly for Iris, luck was not on her side as out from the trees were hybrids all female mind you and from the looks it they had only just recently changed as well.
"Well, look what we have here." The female Zoroark said with a smile as she looked at Dawn up and down seeing she had just arrived and didn't remember her in the Pokémon center. "You must have just come here it seems."
Iris soon backed up in fear seeing more hybrids of all sizes and shapes coming out from the forest and Iris knew she needed to run away.
"Come…let me awaken your true self young one…your feelings for the one you want to mate with…you want him, don't you?" the Zoroark women said with a smirk and moved closer to Iris knowing the girl had no place to run off to really, she was trapped and would be set free from her human bounds. "You shall be set free from the foolish ways that we used to think like when we were human."
"No I don't want this!" She yelled in fear slowly backing up until Iris backed up into a tree as she looked behind and her gaze looked to the Zoroark women who moved closer to Iris.
All the girl knew that she had to do was to run away from this place and the hybrids, but before she could do this she felt her arms being grabbed hold of two hybrids a Vulpix women and a Bulbasaur girl, as they both smiled at Iris.
"Don't worry your rebirth shall be wonderful." The Vulpix said with a grin on her face as she looked to her friend holder onto the girl.
More panic grew in Iris soon as the Zoroark women was now within reach of Iris. "No let go of me I don't want to become a hybrid!" Iris cried out, but deep down she knew that this was it she was going to lose her humanity.
The Zoroark female just smiled and moved to Iris knowing that no words needed all she did was bite Iris on her shoulder as Iris cried out in pain feeling the virus no enter her body. "There you go soon your rebirth shall begin."
She did indeed feel something for Cilan, but it wasn't the intense emotions that now seemed to be flowing through her, the young girl crying out as the virus began to take effect. A small crush was already blooming into lust, the girl's eyes hazing over as the virus soon swept through her.
"That's right my dear just accept it…fighting will do you no good…you want the one you love… you need him and you also want to make this world better, don't you? I know you can do it." The Zoroark women said as she smiled seeing the girls changes start.

It wasn't until the newly transformed Iris smiled as she glanced at herself then back towards the others before speaking. "I feel reborn." she began, starting to like her new body which made the other female hybrids smile and they failed to notice one of her Pokéballs opening up revealing her Emolga as she looked horrified at what became of her trainer.
'Iris?' muttered the female Electric/Flying-Type, devastated as she saw that the former Dragon Tamer was now a hybrid like the rest of the Pokémon World and she was at a loss of words since now she along with Dragonite, Excadrill, Axew and Gible were now left without a trainer, then again Iris left Axew at the Blackthorn City Gym which meant he would be devastated the moment he found out what became of the dark-skinned girl. 'Axew's going to have his heart broken when he hears this…'
She immediately flew off with tears in her eyes, hoping that she'd find the others before it was too late for them as well but before she left the area, she turned back towards the Poké Balls containing the other Pokémon that Iris had with her as she couldn't just leave them behind could she… 'I never thought I'd say this, but I really miss Snivy right now…' she said to herself, wondering what to do at this point and even more so hoping that her Grass-Type rival was okay.
"What?!"
James couldn't believe what he was hearing and it felt like a dagger that impaled his heart the moment he, Jessie and Meowth heard the whole story from Growlie. "My parents, they're now…" he couldn't finish his sentence as he gripped his hands tightly the moment he discovered his own parents became victims of the virus and he never had any ill-will towards them despite the fact they wanted him to marry Jessiebelle."Dammit!"
Jessie and Meowth glanced at the purple-haired male as he angrily punched the ground, not knowing what to say to him given his grief. "James, I'm sorry…" the red-haired female Team Rocket member began to speak as she approached him slowly, noticing tears forming in his eyes much like when he was forced to trade his Victreebel to the Magikarp Salesman in Johto for the Weepinbell he said was a wonderfully scented one and how that along with the revelation of what became of his parents were as bad as them having had to part ways with Arbok, Weezing, Chimeco, Cacnea and Dustox… something that the two could never get over even to this very day.
"Why did this have to happen?" he cried out, continuing to punch the ground with his tightened fist as the two closest people in his life had been taken from him and turned into something they're not…. what's worse is that without a cure, there's no way to undo the damage done. "Mother, father…"
Growlie approached his master, wishing that things had been different though had he not come then he could've become a hybrid as well and he didn't want that to happen. 'Master James, at this point there's nothing we can do for them… even more so as it took me a really long time to find you again' he spoke as he wanted to find a way to make it up to him somehow.
"Listen, I actually understand how you feel" Jessie spoke up, hoping that James would hear her out despite the pain he's still experiencing not that she blamed him since it was his family who had now become victims of the virus. "About losing a member of your family and being upset upon hearing the devastating news."
The moment she said that, James' tear stricken face turned to see his female partner and noticed she was looking down at the ground. "What do you mean?" he asked, especially as he and even Meowth thought she had a good life with her family since they once heard how she used to eat Snow Rolls when she was little… although the moment they previously learned that was during a blizzard in Kanto and the Meowth-Head Balloon blew away with their food and supplies not long afterwards
"I never told you or Meowth this but my mother disappeared one day when I was a little girl and the reaction I had upon learning what happened just so happened to be the same one you have" she said, wishing she'd never speak of it but she couldn't bare to see James becoming a broken man as they were a team after all. "Unfortunately, I don't know much about it and I don't know how it happened either."
James and even more so Meowth and Growlie were shocked, they had no idea that Jessie ever lost someone she cared about back before she became part of Team Rocket. "Jessie… Is this true?" the purple-haired man asked of his partner.
"Yeah, you're not pulling our legs aren't you?"
Jessie sadly shook her head after Meowth and James asked those questions. "I wish I was, sadly I'm not…" she replied, feeling tears starting to form in her own eyes upon reminding herself of losing her own mother and how she wished there was a way to find her somehow. "Sometimes I wonder if being part of Team Rocket is even worth it at this point, even more so since the pain we feel from attacks from either the Twerps' Pokémon or anything else seems like nothing compared to the losses we've experienced."
"This makes me wonder if we should've quit after all" muttered Meowth, remembering how he and his human partners were making their way to Team Rocket's original HQ with the consideration of quitting due to failing to acquire a Pokémon for their boss and never got the chance to do so due to the base exploding with an unknown Pokémon leaving though while it was a blessing that Giovanni (and by extension his Persian despite Meowth's dislike towards his evolved form) survived, he still wondered what could've happened if they did go through with leaving Team Rocket. "I mean, things have been going from bad to worse regardless of which region we follow the Twerp and his Pikachu to."
"It's too late for that now, Meowth" commented James as he knew that the damage was done so they couldn't undo it… maybe if they had a means of going back in time to convince their past selves to leave Team Rocket but they don't so they're going to have to deal with the path they've chosen. "At this point, I'm not sure if the boss or even Team Rocket is still around anymore given the virus."
Jessie and Meowth nodded sadly, knowing that unless they found a payphone if not a Pokémon Center then there's no way they'd be able to contact Giovanni in order to see if he's okay… on the other hand, the Pokémon Center would be out of the question given the three were not going to be welcome there at all. 'At this point, allow me to request that I stay by your side… right now, you won't be able to last even two seconds against a hybrid if one comes after you' Growlie said to his purple-haired master as there's no sense in pondering what could've been when there's something still out there that could get them sooner or later.
James remained silent, remembering the times he parted ways with Growlie before and as much as he wanted his companion by his side again there was a chance that he could end up suffering the same fate that he and his two partners in crime always did in the past. "James, I think you better let him stay with us right now" suggested Meowth as there's no sense in arguing right now as that's the last thing they needed to do in this kind of situation.
"But…"
"No ifs, ands or buts about it James, we need all the help we can get" added Jessie, agreeing with Meowth on the matter of Growlie coming along to help them and especially since things were already getting worse for them so they'd figured they would have nothing left to lose if a majority of Team Rocket did get infected by the virus spreading through the world like wildfire. "I highly doubt Meowth, Pumpkaboo, Inkay and Wobbuffet would be enough to protect us, plus I need to remind you that Wobbuffet can't do anything unless he gets attacked first."
If on cue, Wobbuffet popped out of Jessie's Pokéball. "Wobbuffet!" he cried out with James still unsure on whether or not he should add Growlie to the team officially though he had to admit that his partners made a valid point on the matter not to mention that the male Fire-Type was technically the first Pokémon he ever had before his Weezing.
"In any case, I think we should cast a vote" said Meowth, not wanting to waste anymore time discussing what to do and wanted to get a move on as quickly as possible before any nearby hybrids caught up with them. "All in favor of adding Growlie to the team say aye!"
"Aye!"
The moment Jessie, Meowth and Wobbuffet raised their arms, James found himself in the exact same situation he'd been in back at Johto when they voted on who was in favor of trading his Victreebel for the Magikarp Salesman's Weepinbell but unlike that time, it's to add a Pokémon to his team instead of making him let go of one and to be honest, he was secretly hoping the Salesman himself had been infected after all the times he duped them in Kanto, Hoenn and even Sinnoh. "Well Growlie, looks like you're coming along with us" he said to his companion which caused Growlie to bark happily as they were now together again as it should be.
'Thank you' he bark with a smile on his face, more determined to protect his master no matter what happened and if anything, he was also hoping to redeem himself for being unable to keep the purple-haired male's family safe. 'I promise I will not let you down again.'
James nodded his head, holding an empty Pokéball in his hand since he wanted to keep Growlie safe from the worse that was to come. "I know you won't" he said before tossing the ball, watching it sucking the male Puppy Pokémon inside and fall to ground, shaking three times until letting out a familiar sound to signify that he had been caught successfully.
Back with Ash and the hybrid girls by his side, Dawn and Sherry didn't like the expressions on Serena and May which proved to be a sign that they've further given in to their nature as hybrids."May, try to be reasonable…" the former bluenette spoke up to her friend, praying to god that she'd at least reach out to any part of her within that was still human. "How would your parents or your brother Max feel if you were to help make things worse instead of trying to fight off the Pokémon part long enough for our friends to get a cure for us."
Hearing her family's name May just continued to smile at Dawn and also at Ash and Sherry. "I am worried for them Dawn, but I know they shall soon have their own rebirth." May said with a smile, turning her attention towards Ash briefly and then looked back to both Sherry and Dawn. "All three of you need to simply stop and enjoy the new life that we have now."
Seeing the look in May's eyes he knew full well that she was gone or her human mind was at least even Sherry knew it as well and looked to Ash. "I'm sorry Ash there is nothing that we can do for either of them, both have fallen to their new desires."
Dawn hated seeing May like this to, she was her friend after all and seeing May act like this hurt her a great deal, but she too had to hope that there was just a little of the old May left somewhere deep down. "May come on this is messed up and you know it I mean look at us." Dawn cried out and gestured to her body.
Hearing this from Dawn only made May smile more at this. "But Dawn we are better like this," She said and looked to Serena with a smile and soon her arm was wrapped around Serena's waist pulling the honey blonde Kalos girl close to her. "You still have just no idea how freeing this really is, and just look how sexy you are now."
Ash and Dawn just looked at each other when May said this as Ash stepped forward wanting to help May and to show her that what happened to her was wrong. "May please you know that this is wrong there has to be a part of you that knows this."
Dawn nodded in agreement with Ash. "Ash is right May, what life can we live like this what is we hurt people." She said with fear on her many friends back home with thought running through Dawn head on what she would do to them, would she infect them or worse kill them.
Serena seeing this knew that they were going to keep fighting this gist they had been presented. "But Ash, we can all be together all of us." she said with a happy grin. "If we go back to being human how can we all be with the ones we love."
"Serena is right Ash," May began and looked to Ash hoping she could make him understand, her mate needed to be with her if she would have a child which she was hoping she was and soon smirked at him which confused Ash. "Besides I know for a fact you love a certain sexy red head Ash." May told him as she had a seductive grin on her face.
Serena was now smiling as well as May had told her all about Misty or at least what she remembered of the Tomboyish Mermaid due to her encounters with the Water-Type Trainer at Hoenn and later during the Battle Frontier and just how much Ash had told May of the red head that had been with Ash, and now Serena wanted to meet this girl that Ash most likely had feeling for. "Oh I want to meet her, after all you told me."
May giggled as she looked to Serena. "Oh she has a temper but that's what makes her so hot am I right Ash?" May asked with a smirk as she looked at Ash, knowing full well how he felt for Misty all too well, not that she minded now they were like this they could all be together.
But that would never happen so long as Ash and the others continued to fight what was giving to them and it was something that May didn't at all, she hated that Ash was still fighting this gift and she knew that Serena was feeling the same as well. "I had hoped that last night his true self would have been set free."
Ash was more worried knowing that May was in some way right he did care for Misty but did he love her like May said he did. Ash just shock the thoughts from his head of Misty knowing that she was safe back home, he needed to deal with what was going on in front of him right now and help get May and Serena to think straight.
May giggled as she moved closer to Ash pressing her body up against Ash. "Oh thinking about Misty, it's like I told you Ash, you love her and want to make her as your mate I know the feeling I want her to join us too." May told Ash smiling pressing her breasts on his chest and looked to Dawn. "Just as I know Dawn loves you as well right Dawn?"
"Wait what?!"
"What are you talking about?" asked Dawn, her cheeks flushing pink at the mention of her being in love with Ash which was hard as she had brown fur covering her checks… sure she paid Ash a visit during his travels in Unova with Iris and Cilan as well as joining them in participating in the Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup only for her to lose in the second round when her Mamoswine was defeated by Iris' Dragonite though never in her entire life or through her career as a Pokémon Trainer and Coordinator had she ever heard anyone saying something like that, not even Zoey ever mentioned it despite having been rivals with her. "It's not like that at all!"
"Not to mention that I'm not in love with Misty!" added Ash, remembering how the whole thing about him and Misty liking each other as more than friends had been brought up by Jessie, James and Meowth on the blimp when the two were initially heading back to Pallet Town before Jigglypuff put them all to sleep which set up them eventually meeting Tracey and how the raven-haired Trainer first met Lapras, promising her that he and his friends would reunite her with her family plus it also led to him participating in and ultimately winning the Orange League.
Then there was Melody, who believed Misty was Ash's girlfriend before they dealt with Lawrence and his desire to acquire Lugia by capturing the Legendary Birds. "I'm just worried for her is all and I had hoped to hear from her from time to time, especially since Tracey often goes to the Cerulean City Gym while I travel through the world but that does not mean we like each other okay."
"You know this reaction sound familiar…" said May with a smile on her face, reflecting on the fight she had with Ash even before Oscar and Andi arrived due to the raven-haired young man having become a bit impatient as she wanted to make herself look lovely before they continued their travels. "I remember this was how you and I responded when Oscar and Andi said we were in love."
Ash had a somewhat annoyed expression on his face; this was just as bad as the comments from Jessie, James, Meowth and Melody regarding him and Misty. "You really had to bring that up?" he asked her which made Sherry, Dawn and even Serena glance at him and May since they've never actually heard Oscar and Andi's names before.
"Oscar and Andi…" Sherry was the one to ask of Ash, becoming curious on what May meant and why her friend felt embarrassed over his friend from Hoenn mentioning the two..Suspecting that something happened that he preferred never to mention to anyone not that May blamed him. "Who exactly are they?"
The former human male sighed, not in the mood to talk about it given how it made things worse between him and May until Jessie, James and Meowth used the "Battle of the Sexes" as an opportunity to steal Pikachu which caused them to almost succeed until the two trainers got their act together in order to save the male Mouse from the trio. "I'll explain later Sherry," he said with a frown on his face as the whole situation was becoming, all Ash wished right now that things could go back to how it used to be with him heading to the next gym to get a badge hell he wouldn't mind Team Rocket showing up either at this point.
"Okay…" said Sherry as she had a feeling there was something Ash was hiding which she hoped it wasn't anything too serious, then again given how things turned out and the virus spreading throughout the entire Pokémon World, who could blame him? "Huh?"
It was then that she caught a glimpse of a small handkerchief that Serena had on her arm like it was some kind of bangle. "Oh, I see you've noticed the handkerchief that Ash gave to me when we were children," began blonde-haired Fennekin girl with a smile on her face, in a way her having been made to go to Professor Oak's Pokémon Summer Camp during her childhood was for the best otherwise she wouldn't have met Ash in the first place.
"W-What?!" Sherry and Dawn were completely shocked at hearing this, although May giggled as she remembered Serena telling her earlier about the whole fateful event at the Pokémon Summer Camp that Professor Oak ran year ago and she thought it was pretty cute how the two met one another. "Is this true?!"
"You better believe it, I haven't forgotten how Ash was kind enough to treat my injured knee," Serena replied, giving Ash a cute smile and how she never expected to see him again in her home region… especially as the reunion occurred when he had his first Gym Battle in Kalos which didn't go well and he ultimately lost to Viola and her two Bug-Type Pokémon. "It took Ash a bit longer to remember that though and I was glad he did."
"On the other hand, if Misty had been with Ash during his battle with Viola and later his rematch then she'd b freaked out given her fear of Bug-Type Pokémon." added May as she remembered learning about Misty's fear of bugs when they faced Colonel Hansen and his Shedinja and two Ninjasks at Hoenn which didn't help that Jessie, James and Meowth were helping him.
Sherry and Dawn were shocked to learn that Misty, whoever she was, feared Bug-Type Pokémon with the latter remembering May had one, a Beautifly, during the Sinnoh events which included the Wallace Cup while Ash had a feeling May would be right. Hell, she would've been afraid of Aaron's Bug-Types and Paul's Ninjask in Sinnoh as well as Burgh's Bug-Types, Cilan's Crustle and Bianca's Shelmet and later Escavalier in Unova and Harley's Ariados from the Kanto Pokémon Contests and Kanto Grand Festival not just Viola's which made him wonder how she'd view Leavanny since he was part Bug-Type and was currently at Professor Oak's lab with the rest of his Pokémon. Then there's Jessie's Dustox and later Yanmega to take into consideration along with Drew's Masquerain not so much his Butterfree but regardless the Tomboyish Mermaid's fear of bugs was something that would never change. "Okay that we didn't see coming." muttered Sherry, unsure of what to say.
"Well let's hope that she does not become a Bug Type then," Serena said with a smile on her face as her attention was back on Ash once more. "No worries she might come to us."
Unknown to any of them, Misty was still making her way to help find Ash and the rest of her friends hoping that they were okay; she knew that this was still something she really shouldn't be doing after all.
Right now the Cerulean City Gym Leader was sitting down on a log resting while having some lunch, yet all she could think about were her friends and what happened to them, and if they were still human even. "No I can't think like that I know they are going to be okay." Misty told herself.
Shaking her head Misty knew that she needed to keep moving as she still had a long way to go before she even reached where her friends were, and right now she just wished she had a flying Pokémon with her at the very least.
Standing up to her feet Misty gave a sigh and checked her bag that had her Pokémon in as she knew she was going to need them soon, smiling that she had what she needed she closed her bag up and once again started to make her way to where Brock had told her she was as Misty now had a determined look on her face. "Just hold on everyone I'm coming."
Meanwhile Brock and his group were almost to the blockade as everyone was now smiling that they would soon be safe and away from the hybrids that had been chasing them. "Don't worry were almost there." Brock told them all with a smile knowing they had to keep moving now.
"Mommy what will happen to the people that have been changed?" A little girl asked a she looked up to her mother with a worried look on her face.
The mother just looked at her daughter with a smile knowing that she didn't want to worry her child knowing that they would soon be safe and not have to worry about what was going on with the poor people who had been infected. "Sweetheart you shouldn't worry about it I'm sure that some of our brightest minds are working on away to change them back."
Brock could hear what the women was saying and knew that one of them was Prof Oak he was hoping that a cure could be made, but he was also having doubts on this as well. "I hope that they can make a cure to all of this." Brockthought to himself as he saw many of the children were scared right now which included Bonnie.
Brock and Cilan were about to say something when he and the others all heard a scream as they all looked over to see one of them being attacked by a Luxray hybrid a female one at that bite down on him and thus infecting him, Brock and the others all looked on in fear as they saw many more hybrids arriving as well.
The Hybrids on the other hand all looked at the humans that had escaped and smiled at their pray that they had at last caught up too knowing thanks to their new bodies they were much faster than they would have been when they had been human. "Well we found them at last." The Bulbasaur girl said with a smile on her looking around at the humans.
The Mightyena girl next to her simply nodded at this seeing that the humans were about to make a run for it, but this was something that they couldn't let happen, after all their new race would soon grow even more once they had been reborn. "Well we shall talk later for now we need to stop them from getting away."
Another girl nodded as she stopped who she had been looking for which warmed her heart. "True but please leave him to me okay." The Zoroark girl said as she pointed to Cilan who took notice of the female hybrid as his eyes went wide with shock and fear knowing just who this was.
Cilan knew full well who this was and was worried looking at her. "Iris what happened to you? Why did you come all the way here knowing what was going on?" He asked looking at his friend and seeing what she had now become.
Iris hearing this from Cilan just smiled at the one she loved knowing that very soon he would be her mate as she knew that he was not going to let her infect him. All Iris wished right now was that he and all the other humans could understand why this was a good thing, but it didn't matter she was going to free Cilan just liked she had been.
Brock just looked at Cilan and noticed more Hybrids arrive. "Cilan, look we need to run now before they make a move on us." He said as he noticed the children they had with them were all frightened and he hated it as it reminded him of his own siblings.
"I know that, but at this point there's no guarantee of us escaping…."
This made the Gym Leader from Pewter City frown at what his friend from Striaton City said although he made a very valid point on the matter. "Great…Where's Team Rocket when you need them." he thought, actually wishing that Jessie, James and Meowth would show up like they usually did in the past with another attempt at stealing their Pokémon… whether it be with help from the Pokémon that the trio had with them or via one of their giant mechs as the latter would actually be helpful for once.
Soon enough, Cilan took a step forward which hadn't gone unnoticed from Brock, Clemont and Bonnie as they started wondering what the Pokémon Connoisseur was doing. "Cilan, what are you…" the Lumiose City Gym Leader started to speak in disbelief.
"I'm going to do what I can to keep them preoccupied," said Cilan with a determined expression on his face, with Brock remembering how he and Misty held off Molly while Ash made his way to where little girl was sleep and on the lap of Delia and then later on the two Gym Leader held off Giovanni and Team Rocket long enough for Ash to get Mewtwo healed from the injuries inflicted on his by the machines created to control him. "You and the others get everyone out of here as soon as Pansage, Stunfisk and Crustle are sent out."
"What?" exclaimed Bonnie, holding onto Dedenne with a horrified expression on her face the moment the former Striaton Gym Leader revealed what he intended to do even if it was to protect everyone else present. "Are you crazy?! You won't stand a chance against them by yourself!"
"Bonnie's right, plus you'll only get yourself infected too," added Clemont as he too knew that this was the equivalent of a suicide mission as there's no a chance in hell that their friend from Unova would be able to survive against the sheer number of hybrids since even he had his share of limits when it comes to fighting a battle. "Not to mention your brothers won't be too pleased with this decision if they were here with us."
"I know that," Cilan replied to his friends, closing his eyes as he knew that this wouldn't be like how he, Ash and Iris had to stop Team Rocket from getting the Forces of Nature or even keeping Team Plasma from acquiring Reshiram due to the odds now being stacked against him. "However, if it gives you all a chance to survive and help find a cure to undo the damage then it's a risk I'm going to take."
"Cilan, don't be stupid…" Brock tried to dissuade the green-haired male Trainer, hoping he would be successful in getting him to understand that there were other ways to handle things without needing a meaningless sacrifice to ensure it. "What if something went wrong and there's a chance we aren't able to escape?"
"I have to at least try, Brock," responded Cilan, sending out his three Pokémon and they each appeared in a flash of white as he was hoping he wouldn't have to hurt Iris but now that she'd become a hybrid just like a majority of the world's population, he had no other choice but to fight her. "You guys know what to do."
Slowly nodding their heads, the three Pokémon turned towards the Hybrids and were about ready to begin the fight of their lives… and Brock found himself reaching for one of his own Pokéballs, knowing there was only one Pokémon that could save Cilan from meeting the fate that almost everyone else, including Iris, did. "Okay Croagunk, I'm going to need your help right now." he silent said to the Poison/Fighting-Type inside as he got ready to send him out.
However, just as the two men were about to give the orders, a Flamethrower attack came in the direction of the Hybrids. "Scatter!" ordered the female Zoroark hybrid as she and the others managed to barely evade the Fire-Type attack that tried to strike them down.
"Huh?"
"Where did that come from?" wondered Bonnie as she and Dedenne had no clue on who used that Flamethrower attack since last she checked, neither Brock, Cilan nor Clemont had any Fire-Type Pokémon on their team nor did they have a Pokémon that knew Flamethrower.
Her question was soon answered in the form of a roar as a familiar Dragon/Flying-Type came swooping down with a familiar Dragon/Ground-Type on his back and was accompanied by another flying Pokémon. "Wait is that…"
"Dragonite and Emolga…" muttered Cilan while he recognized the two Pokémon almost immediately, third one was completely new to him… whereas Brock was only identified Dragonite since he last saw one at the Dragon's Den in Blackthorn City as well as Professor Oak's Dragonite from the events with the Mirage Pokémon back at Kanto and the one used in Sinnoh that fought Paul's Honchkrow, the Dragon/Ground-Type on his back which the Cilan had no idea about was none other than a Gible, making the former Pewter City Gym Leader reflect on how Ash had a Gible during the latter portion of their travels with Dawn during Sinnoh but what surprised him was the third Pokémon and how Cilan identified her upon closer glance. "If they're here then that means…."
The ground started to shake violent for all but a few seconds before something came bursting from within. "Excadrill!" he spoke again, shocking his three friends and everyone else present as the male Ground/Steel-Type and his allies got ready to help the humans out in their effort to make it out unharmed.
"Wait, you know those Pokémon?" wondered Brock, his attention mainly towards Cilan as he referred to two of the four Pokémon that suddenly appeared just when he was going to use Croagunk to Poison Jab the Connoisseur and even more so due to the fact he'd been planning to go through with that plan of his no matter how hard they tried to dissuade him. "I understand Dragonite but the other two…"
"Yeah I do they belong to Iris or did before she was changed," Cilan said as none of them knew what it meant for a trainers Pokémon, if the one who owned them became a hybrid like Iris had. "Look the plan is still a go you all need to go someone has to hold them back after all."
Brock hearing that Cilan was still planning to do this gave a frown knowing that it was not really the best idea and would get him infected, but he noticed more hybrids had arrived and that they really did need to go right now before it was far too late.
"Now look at what we have here," Said the leader of the hybrids Jack O Loonturn as he soon looked at the humans with a smile. "None of you need to worry you shall all soon have a brand new life."
Brock and the other humans didn't like this at all knowing this was bad for them. "What are you talking about? This is not only wrong but messed up even the children are frightened right now too!" Brock cried out as he looked to Bonnie and the other children.
Jack on the other hand just looked to Brock and the children seeing their parents doing all they could to keep them safe from the hybrids. "There is nothing wrong with this, just think of how humbling this will be for humanity when they all get turned into Hybrids! This could even be considered evolution for humanity albeit unnaturally caused evolution! We should just learn to let go of our human weakness and embrace the Virus! So rise up Hybrids! Spread the gift that is the Virus to your former fellow humans and to our companions in this world the Pokémon so they too can spread the Virus to their kin and to other humans! Let no human lose out on their chance to join this revolution!" He said the last part was to the fellow hybrids who nodded.
Iris looked at Cilan smiling at him knowing that she wanted to show him that this virus was not bad at all in fact it was freeing and all she wanted to do was show him and all the others why it was good to become a hybrid. "Please Cilan just stop fighting and join, he is right this is a gift we shall become the new race so please just join us join me as my mate I love you after all."
Cilan looked at Iris knowing that what she was saying was no lie. "Brock we don't have time for this anymore you and the others all need to run, I'll hold them off for as long as I can to give you all time to get away."
Hearing this Brock knew all too well that Cilan was right they were outnumbered and had a bad feeling more Hybrids would be coming soon, so this was now or never either they would all run and get captured and most likely turned, or one of them would stay and the outcome was something Cilan knew all too well.
With a frown still on his face Brock looked at the other at everyone else and then at Cilan as Iris and her Pokémon stood by his side ready to fight and keep the humans safe and to help their trainer as well as Brock looked at the others. "Okay everyone we need to go now!" Brock cried out as the others all nodded and began to run as Clemont grabbed his younger sister Bonnie in his arms and ran.
Cilan on the other hand looked at his Pokémon and even the ones that Iris had knowing this would be his last stand, all he could hope for was that Brock and all the other people would get away safely, he just looked over to Jack, Iris and the others seeing the smiles they all had on them.
Giving a deep sigh, Cilan knew that this was going to be tough but if he could hold them all off then it would be worth it in the end as Cilan closed his eye for just a brief moment before he opened them once more and looked at Iris. "I'm sorry for what happened to you Iris, and I know Ash would be as well if he was here." Cilan told her with a frown, but knew that Iris didn't care what had happened to her as all he saw was the smile she still had on her.
Iris on the other hand knew that soon her mate would join her in this new life but what she needed to do first was worry about her old Pokémon that she used to have when she was human she still didn't want to hurt them, but if they got in the way of her getting her mate then she would have no other option but to fight her former Pokémon.
Jack O Loonturn just looked at the green hair male knowing that it was pointless in what he was doing as sooner or later all the humans would become hybrids to him they would all be set free from the chains that they had when they had been human, this was a new age after all. The age of the Hybrids was rising.
A/N well guys and girls another chapter is finished I do like how this is going and things are really heating up as Iris has become a hybrid now as well with her going after Cilan soon more people will become infected and remember if you want more girls to be with Ash just ask as so far this is the list of all of Ash's girls that he will have.
