A/Ns: Another new chapter guys and girls with us learning about the mastermind behind the virus and why he did this in the first place too, I just hope it's good enough that all of you like it. Since I was somewhat worried when writing him within this chapter so please tell me if he is evil enough, or if I overdid it with him, thanks to all of you reading this story.
Sadly, Goh, Chloe, and Professor Cerise from the Journeys series won't be in this story at all, plus I've been debating whether or not to add Mallow into Ash's harem as it would be interesting to have. I'd like to hear your thoughts on that in the reviews on the matter, but don't worry, there will be some Rocketshipping moments between Jessie and James at one point or another.
Chapter 14: Mallow on the run
At the Cerulean City Gym, Misty's sisters were still showing concern about how the Tomboyish Mermaid had gone out to help Ash even though she could risk becoming infected. "I'm starting to get worried right now," came Violet's voice as she thought about when Misty left the Gym even after listening to them to bring her best Water-Type Pokémon with her. However, none of the three knew that Ash and Misty had become infected when they least expected it. "Normally, it wouldn't be like this, but with the infection happening all across the world, I can't help but feel like now wasn't such a good idea to have her even to go out there."
"I know how you feel, Violet. Unfortunately, there's not much we can do until we at least hear some good news."
Daisy nodded her head to concur with what their sister Lily said. "Here's hoping that Professor Oak and the other professors would be able to create a cure for everyone," she spoke, with the same concern as the other two young women at the Gym. "Sure, Tracey is doing all he can to help, but I still can't help but worry about what could happen if they fail."
Both Lily and Violet turned their attention to Daisy. "That's right, you and Tracey have been dating ever since our sister went with Ash and Brock to Johto" began the violet-haired girl with a smile, she and Lily still couldn't believe that Tracey became Daisy's boyfriend… something even Misty was left surprised by when she learned the news following having to run the Gym in the absence of her older siblings.
"Yeah, in all honest… Violet and I are kind of envious that you snag yourself a cute boy, especially one from the Orange Islands no less," added Lily with a teasing smile on her face. "Also, the reaction on Misty's face when she found that out was just absolutely priceless."
Daisy thought about it for a moment, especially when she even met and how the two became friends. Over time, they slowly went from becoming friends to lovers, plus she blushed the more she reflected on how their relationship eventually began with a kiss. "To tell you the truth, I was kind of hoping Ash and Misty would've gotten together before Tracey and I did," she spoke, which caused the other two Sensational Sisters to be surprised by this.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you know how two people, for the most part, usually start their relationship… I've read some romance novels and even romance movies with a similar situation to Ash and Misty's," Daisy told her sisters with a slight smile forming on her face. "At first, they hated each other, or they don't like each other; they see negatively in the other but then grow to love them for who they are. I never realized it at first, but there's something I read about how our parents got together."
The news about how their parents got together caught Violet and Lily by surprised. "Wait, mom and dad didn't like each other at first?" asked the latter with a frown on her face since this was something they've never known about at all.
"I had no idea either…" said Violet as she too was at a loss of words regarding the whole thing about their parents, and here, they thought only Ash and Misty were like that, but that's positively not the case.
Daisy nodded with a sad smile on her face. "Yeah, I'm just thankful that they don't have to worry about this virus," Daisy told her sisters while trying to stop herself from crying.
Violet and Lily looked at their sister they both hated losing their parents, but they grew more worried about Misty. "I just hate what's going on the last thing I want her to be okay," Violet said before looking to her sisters. "Why did she have to run off like that?"
Daisy only smiled at the two knowing she would do the same for Tracey. "It's because she loves Ash, I mean, they hide it from what Tracey told me, but they do love each other."
The two nodded at Daisy, knowing she was right since all they could hope for was that Misty was okay. Daisy then looked over to her sister smiling at the two. "Besides, I know Ash will keep Misty safe when they meet up."
Meanwhile, Ash had woken up as he began rubbing his head, trying to remember what happened. "Argh," Ash moaned as he felt someone hugging him. Ash looked to his right and saw it was May, and he noticed the content smile she had.
However, Ash noticed that she wasn't the only one as he saw Sherry Dawn and Serena all of them sleeping with smiles on their faces too. "What happened?" Ash asked, looking at the girls before him.
Ash then heard a giggle as he looked down, seeing it was May as the Eevee Hybrid began to cuddle up even closer to her mate. "Hmm, Ash last night was so much fun," May tells Ash, still having a grin on her face. "If I wasn't pregnant before, I'm sure I am now."
Ash was shocked to hear this as last night's events started to come back to him as he looked at the other girls. May even noticed this as well, and it caused the Eevee hybrid to giggle. "Oh, yes, we all had so much fun together. I think they could all be pregnant as well," she told her lover, hugging him.
The other girls were all still sleeping, and Ash was more worried than ever as he looked at Sherry and Dawn, thinking that they might have lost their human minds as well. "But have they I can't tell right now."
With a smile, May could already see the look Ash had on him, which caused the Eevee girl to frown at her mate. He still had his human mind. "Please stop thinking like a human Ash and let your wild side take over."
Ash frowned, hearing May say this as he looked at the brunette. "May you know I can't do that look at us, does this even look right to you?" He asked while making sure not to wake up the others.
May only huffed at Ash's words as she looked at the other girls on their bed and smiled. "I don't care, Ash just look at how better we are, look at all of us together and happy," May tried to explain to her lover/mate. "We all get to be together without the silly human constant. All of us can be together for the rest of our lives, and you don't have to pick just one girl. Ash, you can be with all of us now."
Ash could already hear the joy that was in May's voice, and right now, he wished that there was something he could do to let May know that this wasn't right. "What can I do to make her see that this isn't right?" Ash thought while looking at May with concern.
"May..." Ash began looking at May as he could still see her smiling, which caused Ash to let out a frustrated sigh. He placed his clawed hands on her shoulders as May stared at Ash. "May listen to me, please, think about your family."
Ash knew he needed to try at least and reach May, and he wanted the Eevee girl to see that what they are is wrong. "May I know you want us all to be together, but...?" Ash began as he was then quickly stopped by May.
"So what your saying is you don't love me; you don't love us?" May asked as she looked at Ash while the raven-haired trainer looked at May, shocked to hear her saying this.
"What no May," Ash quickly told her, knowing he didn't want her to get the wrong idea in what he was saying. "I'm just trying to say..." Ash tried to say once more, but he was once again quickly stopped when May pushed Ash down.
Ash looked up into May's blue eyes seeing the same animal nature within them. "I know what you're saying, Ash, but this is why we are better like this. You get to have all of us as mates and lovers."
Ash was about to open his mouth to talk to May, but he heard another giggle coming from Serena as she had woken up now too. "May's right, Ash, I mean as humans you would only have been able to marry one of us," Serena said as she moved over kissing May.
May couldn't help but giggle as she began to kiss the Fennekin girl back, while Ash heard them both moan as they kissed the other. Watching both May and Serena kissing was something Ash liked; he didn't know why, but he knew a part of him wanted to have sex with them again. "No, Ash, stop thinking like that. It's making me lose more of my human mind."
"See Ash," Serena said with a happy grin on her face. "I'm delighted that May helped me let my silly human self go, as I human, I wouldn't have kissed her like that," Serena said, looking at her lover.
May nodded with a smile as she looked at Ash, seeing the look he had right now. "I mean I know you want Misty right now Ash, I want her to join us too," May began as she looked at Serena and smiled more than ever. "Oh, Serena, I know you're going to love when you met Misty."
Serena, hearing this, began to smile as she looked at the Eevee girl. "Oh, please tell me what she's like, May?" Serena asked her voice, filled with joy at the chance of meeting another lover.
Ash didn't like this because he knew they wanted to infect Misty with this virus, but he didn't want that to happen to the redhead. "Aww, Ash, please, you don't have to look like that. I know you think this is bad, but we love it," the Eevee girl said with a smile as she looked over to both Dawn, Sherry, and the new girl that found them.
"Oh right, that's Lillie," Serena began as she looked at the Alolan Vulpix, as she glanced to Ash as a smirk formed on the Fennekin girl. "I know she loved last night too."
Hearing this, May giggled at this as she looked at all three girls. "Seems that your harem is growing even more Ash, how many more girls like you, I wonder. I know Anabel is another one."
Serena nodded, knowing they were getting more lovers, but she wondered how they would get Misty and Anabel. "Well, that good, but May how will we ever get to them?" Serena asked the brunette Eevee girl. "You told me they both are in Kanto.
"Wait, hold on a moment May you're telling me that Anabel liked me?" Ash asked, shocked to know this, as he had to slap himself mentally for not seeing this in the first place.
"Isn't it obvious?"
"Well, to be honest, no, it wasn't!" Ash replied with a frown on his face as he looked at May and took this time to take in what she just said earlier. "I mean, I would've noticed if she had feelings for me if I remember."
Dawn, Serena, Lillie, and Sherry were all surprised at the fact both Ash and May knew Anabel, but what's even more surprising was the lavender-haired young woman had a liking towards Ash. "Okay, I didn't see that coming," commented the bluenette with a frown, although she remembered how she, Ash, and Brock previously met Pyramid King Brandon back in Sinnoh.
"Me neither" added Sherry with a nod, she too never heard much about Anabel, mainly due to Ash rarely talking about her. "Still, I'd like to know more about this girl."
Serena nodded her head in agreement with Sherry. "Yeah, I'd like to hear about her, too," she added as she glanced at Ash and May out of curiosity.
Ash still had no idea what to say as he looked at Sherry and Dawn but would ask them later. "Look, I think I need time to think this over," Ash told them all before he left the room.
May only giggled at this, watching her mate leave the room. "Okay, then Ash. The rest of us will just talk to each other while you deal with the news."
At Team Rocket HQ, Delibird had returned to inform Giovanni about the status of the virus and how it's spreading across the Pokémon World faster than before. 'Man, what a day…' he said to himself, wiping some sweat off his forehead as he was relieved to be back in Headquarters after nearly becoming the food for a group of Pokémon Hybrids not too long ago. 'I better inform Master Giovanni about the news!'
As he made his way towards Giovanni's office, he failed to notice a group of shadowed silhouettes watching him from a distance. 'Finally, he hasss arrived…' a hissing voice as one of the pairs of eyes were fixated on Delivery Pokémon in question who failed to notice their presence, which was a good thing.
'Indeed, now let's begin our move while we still can…'
A while later, Delibird had made it to the door to Giovanni's office, but right before he can enter a thick, dark-purple smoke, suddenly surrounded the area. 'What the hell?!' he wondered only to find himself getting squeezed tightly, and he wanted to call for help only to find his beak becoming clamped shut all of a sudden as he soon found himself getting dragged away before he could react.
'Long time no sssee, Delibird!' began Jessie's old Seviper as he had been somewhat familiar with Jessie, James, and Meowth's former direct deposit Delibird. Whereby they hadn't seen him since Ash and his friends were traveling through Kanto when the young man took on the Battle Frontier. 'How are you feeling today?'
'This has got to be some kind of sick joke, right?' said Delibird with a scowl as he glared at Seviper and even Mime Jr for trying to do this, believing that the two Pokémon belonging to Jessie and James had suddenly gone rogue against Team Rocket. 'If it is, it's not funny!'
'We can assure you that it's no joke' came another voice as Delibird soon found himself surrounded by Yanmega, Woobat, Frillish, Carnivine, Yamask and Amoongus, each one of them were showing that they're not joking around during this situation. 'Oh, don't worry, we're not going to kill you… we need your help.'
'You're kidding, right?' wondered Delibird, knowing that their actions would get Jessie, James, and Meowth into big trouble since they are the former two's Pokémon after all, plus last he checked. The two human Team Rocket members had given Woobat, Frillish, Yamask, and Amoongus to Giovanni personally before leaving for the Kalos region with Meowth and Wobuffet. 'You need my help? For what exactly?'
'Oh, I think you know what we're talking about!' said Carnivine, he missed showing his affection to James and wanted to do so again the moment he knew his trainer was okay. 'It's Jessie, James, and Meowth… They're out there in Kalos, which is one of the places that the virus was infected. We need you to help us find them.'
'And no funny busssinesss either, we're not in the mood at a time like thisss!'
'That's a riot, needing me to help you find those three?' Delibird asked sarcastically, all while rolling his eyes. He had all but forgotten the last time he checked up on the three to make sure they paid their debts to Team Rocket. He had just gotten back from nearly becoming someone's dinner not too long ago. 'As much as I'd like to help you, I'm utterly exhausted with the damned mess the world's in, and I was just about to inform Master Giovanni of what's happening when you guys decided to gang up on me!'
'That meeting is going to have to wait!' yelled Mime Jr with a frown, the Psychic/Fairy-Type glaring at Delibird since this was far more important than meeting with Giovanni. 'Currently, our trainers are out there, Delibird. None of us don't even know if they've already been transformed into hybrids or not!'
'Also, from what we've heard, Jessie previously used you once back at Johto against those trainers in a bid to acquire the Pikachu who is always with them!' added Frillish as she watched Delibird getting the life squeezed out of him even more by Seviper's Wrap attack.
'But that was a long time ago!' he barely managed to speak, feeling as if his face could turn blue at any moment, and he knew there was no chance of him getting away due to having eight Pokémon to deal with all at once. 'Things have changed since then!'
'That doesn't matter! Our main focus is finding our trainers before it's too late!' snapped Yanmega with anger in her voice. She now was moments away from unleashing an attack on Delibird but refrained from doing so since she'd risk causing Seviper to lose his grip on the Delivery Pokémon. 'So, what's it going to be? Are you going to cooperate, or are you going to make things more difficult for yourself, choose wisely…'
Remaining silent, Delibird mentally cursed his terrible luck as he could once again feel Seviper squeezing his body more and more. Delibird knew it was something that was going to continue until he gave the Pokémon surrounding him the answer they were looking for him. 'Why me,' he thought to himself, wanting to ask Giovanni for a vacation once this was all over. 'Well, better get this over with.'
In the next room, Giovanni was watching the news over what was happening and frowned. "We need to find out who caused this," he said, seeing his agents arrived. "Good, they have all arrived."
As this was happening, Misty and the other Pokémon were staying inside a cave, both resting and thinking about what they were going to do next with everything that's happened before Misty looked at her hands sighed knowing she's a hybrid now. "This is a real mess," she said to herself as she observed her new appearance thoroughly with a frown on her face. "I'm just glad mom and dad aren't here to see this."
Pikachu, Glaceon, and Buneary were left surprised when hearing about Misty's parents, all while the rest of the Pokémon were fast asleep. 'Your mom and dad?' the male Mouse Pokémon was the one who asked since he knew Misty the longest out of the group present, and he hoped once the cure done and finished, she would eventually be back to her normal state.
"Yes…they both died when I was four years old at the time…"
The news felt like a massive bombshell to the three Pokémon, even more so to Pikachu given his and Ash's travels with her through Kanto, the Orange Islands, and Johto. That's including their reunions during the journey through Hoenn and Ash's decision to take on the Battle Frontier. 'Is this true?' Glaceon asked with a frown on her face as she, Pikachu and Buneary all noticed the tears forming in Misty's eyes the moment she ended up talking about her parents.
All the Tomboyish Mermaid did was nod her head. 'Oh my god… that's terrible…' muttered Buneary, she was starting to become truly worried about her new friend, much like Pikachu and Glaceon were. To the male Electric-Type, this revelation hurt even worse than when Ash had to release Butterfree and Charizard. So, when Misty had to say goodbye to Togetic in Hoenn and even worse than when he and his trainer parted ways with Brock and Misty following dealing with Jessie, James, Meowth, and the Invincible Pokémon Brothers at Viridian City. 'Misty, I'm so sorry.'
"Thanks, Buneary. I mean, this was just one of the reasons I just didn't want to return to Cerulean City," she said to the female Normal-Type from the Sinnoh region. "I know things have changed ever since meeting Ash and Pikachu at Route 1, but I can't help but often think of the bad memories from when I was growing up."
It wasn't long before Pikachu decided to speak up again after a moment of silence. 'Why didn't you tell us before?' he asked, he wasn't angry at her… just worried since it's not exactly healthy for her to be keeping secrets and even more so in a situation like this since it would've helped Ash see her human side more as a result. 'I mean it's not like you to do so… apart from the fact you previous hid being one of the Gym Leaders of Cerulean City,'
All Misty did was let out a sigh, knowing that Pikachu made a very valid point on the matter. "I honestly didn't want to; then again, can you blame me?" she asked her, still saddened the more she thought about her mother Julia and her father, Kirk. "Besides, the more I think about it… the more it makes me wish they were here right now."
Pikachu, Glaceon, and Buneary all didn't know what to say on the matter as they understood her reasons for having wanted to keep the deaths of her parents a secret this whole time. 'You know, I think I understand what you're feeling,' the Fresh Snow Pokémon decided to have her say on the matter. 'While my mama is still alive, I can't help but worry about her… especially now that not only me but the rest of mama's Pokémon have been separated from her since the infection stated.'
Misty saw the look on Glaceon's eyes and smiled at Glaceon, while at the same time, she never really knew her that long. Misty knows how May took care of her egg, which eventually hatched into the Eevee that the female Ice-Type used to be before Ash battling against Pike Queen Lucy of the Battle Frontier located in Fuchsia City. They bonded with each other during their journey, even when May parted with Ash to take on Johto contests. "You must truly love your mother, May, huh?" she asked the Fresh Snow Pokémon.
Glaceon silently nodded her head to confirm this and looked away. 'I don't know what I'm going to do if anything happened to her…' she said after taking some time to think things through and could feel her tears forming the more she feared for May's safety.
"Yeah, I know that feeling all too well… given how I was the mother of Togepi since before Ash, Brock, and I eventually arrived at Cinnabar Island," she said to Glaceon, understanding how she's feeling more and more as Misty remembered when she first became Togepi's mother along with her eventual evolution into Togetic. "I looked after her as if she was my child, and it wasn't just in Kanto mind you, it was also throughout the journey through the Orange Islands and Johto with Ash as well as when we had our reunion at Hoenn."
'Really?'
"Yes, I only wish you could've met her," said Misty with a frown, partly wishing that May was Glaceon's mother back in Hoenn rather than during the Battle Frontier as she would've found her cute as an Eevee even though she does look amazing the way she currently was. "Sure, I love Azurill don't get me wrong, and I treat her as my daughter, but I still keep thinking about Togetic from time to time and hope I could see her again one day."
Pikachu nodded, knowing Misty's feelings when losing Togetic back in Hoenn; he had seen the hurt look Misty had on her face. 'I still remember that day too, Misty,' Pikachu said, frowning as he saw the tears forming in Misty's eyes.
Misty smiled as she looked at Pikachu, looking out from their cave and then to her hands. "I wonder how long I'll keep my mind?" Misty asked, still looking at her hands before she looked at Pikachu.
All three Pokémon looked at Misty, and they could feel the fear that Misty had within her voice. Pikachu moved closer to Misty, patting her shoulder, trying to comfort Misty, as the yellow mouse was also worried that Misty would lose her mind.
However, before Pikachu could say anything, Glaceon spoke up for him. 'That means you have to keep fighting it, don't let that stupid virus win,' Glaceon told Misty, which caused the Vaporeon girl to smile.
"Your right Glaceon," Misty began standing to her feet while smiling with pride, as Glaceon was correct she couldn't let this virus win. "I'm not about to let this stupid virus destroy my brain. I'll keep fighting it no matter what, that's a promise I'll make."
The three Pokémon all smiled when Misty told them this happy that she was going to keep on fighting the virus. She knew that was something Ash would try as well until a cure to this nightmare was created and used to save everyone.
Glaceon and Pikachu looked at Misty with a smile, and they did hoper a cure would help their trainers, Glaceon looked at Misty and knew that May told her so many things about Misty. 'I know mama told me so many stories about you to me,' Glaceon said to Misty smiling, which only made Misty smile when hearing this.
Buneary giggled at this hearing the talk once as well. 'I think May might have had a crush on you, Misty,' Buneary said with a teasing tone in her voice as she glanced at Misty, seeing her face going red.
"Well, if what I've heard about this virus is true, and what that bastard who infected me told us," Misty began knowing if Ash and the others were indeed infected.
Pikachu was also worried when that male hybrid told them this, but he also had faith in Ash fighting this virus off too. 'I think that we should also try and get some rest for now,' Pikachu said as he looked at Misty, knowing she needed it the most. 'I know you need it, Misty, after what happened to you today.'
Misty nodded at Pikachu's words as she did feel tired and wanted to get some rest. "Yeah, your right Pikachu," Misty said as she gave a deep yawn.
Without saying anything else to them, Misty closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep, while Pikachu wanted to make sure Misty was safe. Pikachu then looked over to both Glaceon and Buneary, knowing that they too should get some rest. 'Why don't you both rest too.'
The two Pokémon only smiled at Pikachu as they began shaking their heads at him. 'No, Pikachu, you can't stay up alone. So, we'll stay up with you to Pikachu,' Glaceon said with concern.
Buneary nodded at what Glaceon was telling Pikachu, and it would make keeping watch safer. 'Glaceon is right, Pikachu, I mean, what if there are more hybrids out there, and they attack us?'
Pikachu wanted to respond to what the two were telling him and could see the logic in what they are telling him. Maybe they all stay up would be better that way, as they could tell Misty, and all run if needed. 'Okay, we'll all stay up,' Pikachu said with a smile, as both Glaceon and Buneary cuddled up to Pikachu.
Pikachu did cast one last look at Misty and then looked outside the cave. 'I know that somewhere out there, Ash is waiting for all of us. I truly hope we can find him before it's too late,'
Meanwhile, back in the home where Ash and the others stayed current, Ash was outside the bedroom, thinking over what May told him about Anabel. "I can't believe she likes me too," Ash said out loud, as the trainer from Pallet began thinking just how many girls liked him.
Ash took an instant glance back at the room he had told both May and Serena he needed some time to think over what he learned, and was thankful they gave it to him. "I'm getting worried for Sherry and Dawn as well."
Ash recognized there was a concern that both girls had lost their minds, but he couldn't know until they woke up from last night's events. A smile began to form on his face as he remembered what they did last night. "You see," the voice in his head started Ash could tell it sounded happy with recent events. "You enjoyed what happened. They are our mates, and not they carry our young."
Closing his eyes, Ash tried blocking the voice to the best of his ability, but knowing what happened to Serena and what's happening to both him and Sherry Dawn. "No, I won't let you do this to me," Ash thought as he closed his eyes.
The voice merely laughed at the inadequate attempt. "You can't stop fighting me as Sir Aaron told you, Sherry and Dawn. No matter how much the three of you fight or how hard others fight, you shall all become like my lovely mates Serena and May. So, why not just give in already."
With a scowl forming on his face and holding his head, he hoped that Sir Aaron arrived back soon to start the training that will help him, while the others keep their human minds. "You won't well if you're me, then you know what's going to happen," Ash said, smiling at the small victory.
"Says the one who lost almost every Pokémon League tournament he ever participated in!" came the voice again, referencing Ash losing the fifth round of the Indigo League. Before laughing at all the other league's Ash lost in. "Then there's the fact you couldn't even win that tournament from the Whirl Islands, let alone the Wallace Cup and the Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup or more so against Giovanni when he went after Meloetta and the Forces of Nature."
Ash was not happy about this one bit, and less than thrilled with having to be reminded of those losses even though the voice made a good point on the matter. "Even so, you should know as well as I do that I'm not one to give in so easily!" he yelled with a scowl.
"For now, at least, but soon enough, you're going to eventually grow to like becoming the hybrid you are right now as do the rest of the world."
"Like that will ever happen!" Ash replied to the voice, still not pleased with the fact the voice would continue with its desire to make him fall, victim, even though he hoped that once Sir Aaron returned, they would eventually start the training so he'd have an easier time fighting the voice.
It didn't take long before he heard another voice, and he smiled upon immediately recognizing it. "I guess it's time..." he said, the smile still on his face as he made his way out the door to meet with the spirits of Sir Aaron and his Lucario though he was kinda hoping what took them so long.
"What took you so long?" began Sir Aaron's Lucario, using telepathy to interact with Ash much as he did back at Cameron Palace long ago. "We were starting to suspect that you succumbed to the infection by this point."
Ash sighed, thinking back to the time he almost completely lost his human side entirely as a result of remaining infected. "Well, I almost did, sorry it's a long story," he said with a frown on his face as he hoped it wouldn't happen again; otherwise, all his efforts to help his friends and save the Pokémon World would be all for nothing. "I'll explain later."
Sir Aaron and his Lucario both nodded their heads, understanding what the raven-haired young man was trying to get at as he nodded. "Understood. Still, the time has come for you and the others to begin your training hopefully it would be enough to stall the effects of the infection at least long enough for you to find the one responsible for this and stop them," he said to the younger man.
"Okay," Ash nodded his head; he knew that he needed to inform the others of Sir Aaron and Lucario's return, which was a sign that they'd have to be ready for their training as soon as possible even though something else clicked into his mind. "Is there anything else that I need to be made aware of?"
"Now that I think about it, yes there is," Sir Aaron told Ash with a frown, realizing that the boy would need to aware of this. "I can sense someone and their Pokémon not too far away from the area where you and the girls reside."
"Huh?" asked Ash, confused as he wondered who Sir Aaron might be referring to since he could immediately rule Jessie, James and Meowth out since he said someone and their not more than one person and their Pokémon which made him somewhat hopeful that it's one of his friends. "Is it Misty?"
"Misty?"
"She's a friend of mine from Cerulean City and one of the four Gym Leaders running the Pokémon Gym there," explained Ash as he didn't blame them for not knowing who Misty was since Lucario only met him, May, Brock and Max during their travels together. All of this back when Ash decided to challenge the Battle Frontier following the Hoenn League and when the male Fighting/Steel-type was still alive. "We used to travel together when I started as a Pokémon Trainer and when I later went to the Orange Islands and then Johto."
"I see," Lucario replied with a frown, concentrating on sensing the person and their Pokémon once again before looking back towards the raven-haired young man. "Does she have a Bounsweet by her side?"
"A Bounsweet?" wondered Ash as he never heard that Pokémon's name before, he didn't recall ever seeing the Tomboyish Mermaid with such a Pokémon at all. "I think I would remember having seen one before, but I can't because this is the first time I've heard of it. Then again, even if I did encounter this, I highly doubt Misty would own one not that I know of."
Sir Aaron started frowning, having a feeling whoever owned that Bounsweet could be in danger of becoming a hybrid and especially if any were pursuing them. "This is problematic," said the deceased Aura Guardian as it was clear that the two would be some assistance. "Whoever this person is, they're going to need help and soon."
"Wait, they need help?" Ash asked of the deceased two, having a feeling they're right, yet he didn't know who was attacking them at a time like this though he suspected who or what their pursuers could be. "I know it can't be Team Rocket targeting them, could it be hybrids? I mean, this is the only logical explanation."
"It would make sense, after all, more hybrids are coming to be whether it be from being exposed to the virus or from being infected by other hybrids after all."
Lucario nodded to Sir Aaron. "I believe it would be best not to stand around talking and focus on assisting that girl and her Bounsweet as soon as humanly possible," he informed the two via his telepathy, all with a stern expression on his face.
Ash nodded in agreement and took off to hopefully save this girl from getting infected. "Okay, I can just hope that I make it in time to save her."
Sir Aaron and Lucario watched as Ash left, with neither knowing if the young trainer would make it in time, they had to hope he would. The two looked to the bedroom, not knowing if Sherry or Dawn still had their human minds or not, but it's something they needed to find out.
The two then looked over to the door seeing Ash's friends and now lovers walking out the house, Lucario was worried and needed to find out if Dawn and Sherry are still them. "I'll go and see if they are okay. I just hope Ash gets back soon."
"I hope so too," added Lucario as he noticed someone else was there with them, someone whom they had never seen nor sensed before the last time they visited the group. "For not only their sake but also that of the entire Pokémon World as well."
Meanwhile, in an undisclosed location, the man behind this outbreak watched smiling with satisfaction, seeing how many people had already become infected. "Yes, everything is coming along, just as I have planned."
He examined the current status of the Pokémon World, grinning at the sight of the virus spreading like wildfire, and those who remain uninfected were powerless to stop it. "It won't be long now," he said to himself as he knew the Orange Islands, Alola, Galar, Unova, Kanto, Hoenn, Johto, and Sinnoh were slowly joining the same fate as the rest of the world. Kalos had already ultimately succumbed to his virus with the Decolore Islands, meeting that same fate, and the others would soon join them as a world ruled by him.
"Sir!"
The man soon turned towards someone who had come to visit him. "What do you want?" he asked as he was curious to hear of the news regarding the outbreak.
"We've received word about the girl that escaped from the area…" he informed his leader, revealing Sherry's photo in her original form before being infected by the virus. "It turns out that she's currently in the Kalos region as we speak."
"Is that so? I never expected our little test subject to escape to that region, which ironic is the first to be fully infected by the spreading virus," he asked as he thought about Sherry. Now thinking about the fateful moment, Sherry had broken out of her containment and then fled from the very location where the virus initially was created. "No matter, she knows sooner or later she will fully become like the rest of those insects."
He soon turned back towards the screen and revealed the status to his henchman. "It wouldn't have mattered either way as any area she would've gone to won't be of any help to her," he continued as he knew there wasn't indeed anything to be worried about at this moment. "A pity, she was the only successful subject to boot…"
"Yes sir, but we both know she won't be able to keep her mind for long," the henchmen said, before looking at the data. "We also still have the tracker we placed inside Sherry, too, sir."
The man smirked hearing the news. "Hmm, that's an exceptional question," He said, thinking what they should do, as they all know where Sherry was and wondering if they should capture her.
"Sir, should we leave her for now?" the henchmen asked, knowing Sherry could find their lab, and possibly a cure. "She might not have fallen, and if she finds us, sir, then..."
With a sinister laugh, the henchmen looked at his boss. "Oh, it won't matter; she'll still need to find us, by then, the whole planet will have become infected," he chuckled before taking a deep breath. "Besides, her time is running out."
The henchmen nodded, but he was still worried, knowing that others were also trying to work on a cure right now. "Your right, sir, it doesn't matter since Sherry's not going to last much longer."
With a smirk of satisfaction, he began to leave the room. "Good, that's just what I wanted to hear. I want you to keep me posted on anything else you might hear," he said with an intimidating voice.
"Yes, sir!" the henchmen cried out before getting back to work, knowing what failure would mean. "You can count on me."
Meanwhile, back at the house, Sherry and the others smiled. "So, do you think Ash will come back soon?" May asked while smiling.
Serena shrugged her shoulders at this, not having a clue as the Fennekin girl was still surprised more girls loved Ash. "Well, he did just found out that this Anabel girl likes him."
Thinking about it and then seeing the reaction Ash had on his face was priceless, May knew that maybe she wasn't the only girl either. "So, Dawn, are there any other girls that had a crush on Ash?"
Dawn was shocked to hear May say this as she needed to think about any girls they had encountered. "Well, I know there was a girl named Angie," Dawn answered while Sherry looked at Dawn with fear.
Both May and Serena smiled, hearing the girl's name knowing that they would add another lover for Ash in time. "Oh, we need to find her and make her become like us," Serena said with a grin.
"Yeah," Sherry said as she looked over to Dawn, wanting to talk to her privately. "Hey, Dawn, can I talk to you outside?" Sherry asked, smiling at the hybrid girl.
Dawn looked at Sherry with a confused look on her face, but Buneary hybrid nodded as the two left the room. What neither noticed was the look that both May and Serena gave each other as they watched the two leave.
"I don't like this May," Serena began as she crossed her arms over her chest as she looked at the Eevee girl. "They still think like humans. I was hoping by now they would see the joys that being a hybrid brings us."
Hearing this from Serena and not liking it at all, it is something May didn't like hearing before letting out a sigh. "I know Serena, but why?" the Eevee girl asked, not understanding why all three had to keep fighting this new life. "There's nothing wrong with what we are."
"I know May I mean we have become so sexy," Serena began with a smile on her face thinking back to the night Ash made love to her. "Except both Sherry and Dawn both seem to fight it still. Not only them but Ash too."
"Then we'll make them see," said May, now looking at Serena with a happy smile forming on her face. "All we need to do is wait, and show them, and see which one is closer to joining us."
Serena smiled one hearing the plan from May, as they two looked towards where Dawn and Sherry left. "Then, once they have joined us, we can get Ash and other girls to join us."
Outside Sherry glanced back to their room before looking at Dawn. "Alright, I need to know Dawn, have you succumbed to the virus?" Sherry asked she knew it was a question that she needed to know.
Dawn stared at Sherry and could already tell the fear that's now in the blonde Pachirisu girl's face. "No, I'm still me, Sherry."
Relived to hear this, Sherry pulled Buneary girl into a hug. "Oh, thank Arceus, I don't know how much longer we have, but last night didn't help."
Dawn could only nod her head at what Sherry was going on about as she then placed a hand on her stomach. "Do you think that we're?" Dawn asked, but she was also unable to finish.
Sherry shrugged her shoulder as she soon placed her hand on her stomach as well. "I honestly don't have a clue," the Pachirisu girl said as she began to frown. "What I do know is we still need to watch out, I get the feeling that both May and Serena are not happy we still have our human minds."
Dawn looked to the door of their room as the blue-haired hybrid nodded. "And I told them another girl that they will want to join us too," she said while looking over to Sherry. "I mean, why did I tell them that anyway?"
"I think I have an idea, but you won't like it, Dawn," Sherry said with concern knowing that Dawn's hybrid side might slowly be winning the fight. "Dawn, listen to me. I think the reason you told them is thanks to the other side of you that hybrid side."
"No, so you're saying that I'll be joining May and Serena soon?" Dawn asked, fearing already forming on her face as she fell to her knees. "No, I don't want that Sherry, I don't please."
"We'll beat this thing, Dawn. I know we will," Sherry began as she looked outside the window seeing Sir Aaron and his Lucario, and this caused her to smile, recalling what he told the three yesterday. "Dawn, we might just have some hope in keeping our minds."
"We do?"
Sherry nodded, still smiling at the bluenette since she wanted to show her something. "Yes, take a look out the window," she said, gesturing to what she saw earlier, and it made Dawn surprised the moment she noticed Sir Aaron and his Lucario waiting for them outside.
"No way!" began Dawn, her surprise transforming into relief the moment she saw the two had returned, which could help them with their little situation. "I bet Ash would be glad when he finds out Sir Aaron is back so we can begin our training."
"I'll say," Sherry replied to Dawn, knowing it would be best not to keep the two waiting and, at the very least, assure him that everything's going well so far… Ash and Sherry briefly having lost their minds earlier non-withstanding.
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Dawn asked the other girl with a smile. "Let's go!"
The two girls made their way outside to greet the spirits in question. "I see that the two of you are ready to start your training," began Sir Aaron as he and his Lucario could sense both do indeed still have their human minds, giving them some relief in the process.
"Of course, we are," Sherry replied, which made her glad to see that Sir Aaron was making good on his promise because who knows what could've happened if it wasn't the case. "As soon as Ash gets here, we'll all begin our training together."
"Well, here's the thing… Ash had just left not too long ago."
The news made Dawn and Sherry unmistakably shocked. "He did what?!" they exclaimed at the same time, wondering why Ash would go so far as to leave without saying anything to them beforehand.
"Don't worry, he still has his human mind," Lucario assured them before they jumped to the wrong conclusion though he also had something else to inform the two given the reasons he left. "He just went off to help someone in trouble."
"Huh?" questioned Dawn as she was confused by the fact that someone would be in trouble, and Ash had gone to help them out, then again, she wondered if this was a person her or any of them knew. "Who might that be?"
"More importantly, how do we know it's not a trap that Team Rocket is setting?" added Sherry, having heard from Ash, Dawn, and Serena about the three as well as all the stuff the trio had done throughout the raven-haired young man's journey through the Pokémon World. "I was after all told about them and what they would do to steal someone's Pokémon, especially Ash's Pikachu."
"It is not a trap I can tell you that much," Sir Aaron replied to the two girls as he would have sensed any members of Team Rocket almost immediately. "However, it's not to say that the one who Ash is going to help isn't in danger herself."
Lucario nodded in agreement. "Least of all from potential hybrids since you should be well familiar with the ones you've encountered earlier on," he told both female trainers turned hybrids as he prayed that the boy would make it in time and return for their training to begin proper.
Neither Sherry nor Dawn were sure what to make of this as they still had no idea on the person whom the spirits were talking about and hope it's none their know. "I wonder who Ash is helping at a time like this?" the bluenette asked as she worried Ash's well-being.
"That's a good question," Sherry replied to Dawn, becoming even more worried that there might be a chance Ash wouldn't make it back in time, and he'd fully succumb to the infection. "I just hope he makes it back soon."
"Me too."
It was during that time the person that Ash headed off to help decided to rest up as she and her Pokémon were both exhausted. 'I never thought something like this would happen…' muttered Bounsweet with a tired look on her face as she thought back to the moment they witnessed that lavender-haired female transforming into a hybrid right before their eyes and she wanted them both to run as fast as they could.
"Yeah, don't remind me," said Mallow as she did not like this more than ever, wishing she could return home to the Alola region with her family right now and forget this terrible experience ever happened. "I want to find my dad and my older brother… I'm tired of being away from them. Then again, I can only wonder how they must be feeling."
'Most likely feeling the same way, I mean they are worried sick about us and are doing all they can in their search.'
The green-haired girl remained silent; she couldn't help but continue thinking about the lavender-haired female suddenly wanting to infect them the moment she transformed into a hybrid. "I know that," Mallow said to her beloved Pokémon, although she knew she didn't have the strength to continue running even if she wanted to. "Still, if it happened to that woman earlier, what makes you think it wouldn't happen to my dad and brother as well?"
Bounsweet turned towards Mallow, noticing the green-haired girl resting her head against the nearest tree and saw she was not only physically tired but also emotionally as well. 'Listen, try not to think that way,' she said to her human with a look of concern forming on her face.
"I know I shouldn't be like this, Bounsweet, but…" Mallow thought about what to say next, hoping her Pokémon would understand where she's getting at as memories of when she and her brother were surprised at them going with their father to the Kalos region flashed before her very eyes. "There's a feeling I'm having in my body, one telling me something bad is going to happen, and I can't figure out what."
Hearing those words made the female Grass-Type even more concerned than ever, more so as she genuinely wanted to help her trainer despite their current situation. 'Maybe you should get some sleep' she recommended to Mallow since they've been walking around for a long time now and thought they should be well-rested before they continue.
Mallow once again looked at her Pokémon, it was a good idea, but part of her didn't like the feeling she's having. "I don't know, Bounsweet," she said, telling the truth since they don't know if it was safe for them to do so, given there might be a possibility Anabel would come out at any possible time when they least expect it. "It couldn't hurt to get some sleep, but what if…"
'If you're worried about that lavender-haired woman from earlier, I'll keep an eye out in case she does suddenly pop up,' Bounsweet assured Mallow. Not wanting to see her trainer be too exhausted to do anything due to not getting any sleep following their separation from the green-haired girl's father and brother. 'Should worse come to it, I'll be sure to let you know right away so you can get out of there.'
"But…"
'Please, you need to trust me on this,' said Bounsweet as she again wanted to reassure her smile to Mallow since there was more than just one reason her mother gave the Grass-Type in question to her after all. 'It is for the best of both of us.'
It made Mallow unsure of what to say, as she honestly didn't like the idea of Bounsweet taking on a hybrid as this wasn't going to be like training to take on another Pokémon. "Well… okay, but promise me that you won't get yourself hurt or even worse," she said to the cute little Grass-Type.
There was some relief filling Bounsweet's entire body when she heard that. 'Okay, I promise,' she said back as she's glad that her trainer was taking in her suggestion and looked out for anything hostile in the area all while Mallow closed her eyes to get some sleep.
Mallow smiled as she nodded, but was worried about what could happen. "Your right sleep is something we all need, but once I get some, it's your turn."
However, before Mallow closed her eyes, the two heard something before they stared at each other. 'Mallow, get ready it could be anything at this point,' Bounsweet said with fear knowing she wasn't going to let her trainer become infected with this virus.
Fear, however, was creeping up into Mallow's body, the last thing that she wanted was to become a hybrid. "Not after what we know and have seen," she thought as her body quivered in terror. "Please don't let it be a hybrid."
Despite her hopes, Mallow's fear soon came true as both she and Bounsweet looked at the hybrid steeping out before them, was a pair of Zoroark hybrids. "Aww, Cilan, look what we have here."
Mallow watched the two seeing the female Zoroark before her, and the male Zoroark with green hair. "I know Iris," Cilan said, looking at Mallow while Iris giggled, hugging her mate close to her. "It seems we still have humans here."
Iris nodded with a smile forming before she glanced at Mallow taking a step closer. Mallow, once seeing this, took two steps back from the Zoroark girl, knowing what it takes to get infected. "Don't come any closer to me."
Iris couldn't help but giggle, hearing this from the girl while looking at her Bounsweet, knowing it would attack them. "Aww, don't be that way," Iris said before looking to her lover. "Why do all humans have to act like this?" Iris asked Cilan as she hugged him.
Cilan smiled, placing a kiss on his mate as both he and Iris looked at Mallow, seeing she was still watching them, with a frightened look on her face. "Don't worry; we're going to help you."
"Yeah, no thanks I like to stay human thank you," Mallow said, looking at the two with a frown. Mallow glanced over to her Bounsweet, both trainer and Pokémon, knowing they needed to run and soon.
The two Hybrids only smiled as they looked at each other lovingly. "That's cute, but this girl doesn't know how great being a hybrid is," Iris said with a grin on her face.
Cilan nodded at what Iris was saying as he looked at the green-haired girl from Alola, knowing it's pointless running. "You can't run from us, since becoming hybrids, we've both got given a greater speed than when we were human."
Mallow looked at the two former humans, she knew in many ways they are right, she can't outrun them both. "I'll think of something I'm not defenseless!" Mallow cried out at the two with anger rising ion her voice.
Iris sighed at the girl, being so stubborn as she looked at Cilan. "Why can't she understand this is for the best, she'll be much better once she becomes a hybrid," Iris said looking into Cilan's eyes, before turning her attention back to Mallow. "You remind me of my friend Ash such a kid and so stubborn."
"Look, the human race is over a new race is born," Cilan said, trying his best to let Mallow know that it too late for the human race. Cilan took a few steps towards Mallow, who had a definite look to her face.
"The answer is still no!" Mallow yelled out as she clenched her fists together. "For all, you know a cure could be in the making to save us all from this virus. Don't you want that?" Mallow asked the two, wondering if they wanted to return to being human, and not hybrids.
When the two heard this news, they looked at each other before they laughed at what she told them. "Sorry to tell you this," Iris began her eyes glancing at Mallow as a smirk formed. "But none of us want to return to how we used to be."
Cilan nodded in agreement with his mate pulling her closer. "After all, many people who confessed their love would take it back," Cilan added, kissing Iris deeply.
"I think this might be my chance to run," Mallow thought, now seeing this might be her only chance to get away from the two.
Slowly Mallow turned around, but she was careful to keep an eye on the two Zoroarks, what Mallow didn't know sadly was the two could hear her moving away.
"Oh, I don't think so, my dear," Iris said as she stopped kissing Cilan, not at all pleased with what Mallow had tried to do. "I think that was naughty of you doing that while I was kissing my sexy mate."
"Yeah, well, as I told you before, I want to stay human," Mallow said, frowning at Iris with anger in her eyes.
"Oh, you'll soon be changing that tone once you've come to understand just what it is like to see the beauty of being a hybrid."
"Of course, also don't try to escape because you won't get anywhere," added Cilan as he knew there was a chance she could attempt a getaway, it was then that Bounsweet got between Mallow, Iris, and Cilan with a look of determination on her face. "What is that?"
"I don't know, I've never really seen this kind of Pokémon before," Iris replied as she glanced at the Grass-Type Pokémon that stood in defiance of the two hybrids to keep them away from her trainer. "Still, if I'm honest… it sure is cute."
As for Mallow, she was surprised and worried the moment she saw her Grass-Type Pokémon in front of her. "Bounsweet, what are you doing?" she asked with concern in her voice.
'I told you that I'd protect you matter what' Bounsweet replied as she wanted to keep Iris and Cilan from getting anywhere near her trainer even if it killed her, which only served to further her worries. 'Besides, who knows if they came alone or if they brought other hybrids with them?'
"How do you know it isn't just the two of us?"
Bounsweet simply glared at Cilan. 'Because I learned that sometimes things are not always what they seem!' she replied to the former Pokémon Connoisseur, looking ready to attack the moment either of the two Zoroark hybrids made a move on them. 'So, if you want Mallow, then you're going to have to go through me!'
Iris, on the other hand, found that to be rather cute. "Would you look at that?" she asked her mate, all while smiling. "She honestly thinks she'll be able to handle herself against us. How adorable, a shame she doesn't know the odds are against her."
The comment made Mallow and Bounsweet even more worried than ever though they knew they had to be brave if they're to make it out of this alive. "What do you mean?" Mallow asked incredulously, having no idea what Iris and Cilan were talking about in the first place.
All Iris did was shrug at the green-haired girl for asking that question. "You'll find out… soon enough," she replied with another smile forming on her face, which made the two frown more than ever before, all while wondering what these two hybrids had in store for them nothing good that for sure.
Mallow bit her lower lip, though turned her attention back towards the Fruit Pokémon standing in front of her. 'Stay close, Mallow,' she assured her trainer as she knew this would be the first time she would be facing a real battle, although part of the Grass-Type had honestly been hoping it would be against another Pokémon, not a hybrid.
"Okay…" Mallow nodded to Bounsweet, although she knew that there was a chance the two hybrids would have some surprises in store for them and prayed someone would come that was still a human being. "I let's do this."
Ash was starting to become more worried, especially as he's doing all he can to make it to the girl who was in trouble. "I wish that I knew Aura right now," he said to himself, cursing that he never once even tried to train in mastering it since the power would've proved helpful in finding someone much easier.
On the other hand, he knew that he needed to hurry because there was a chance, he would eventually fall to his Hybrid side again, and this time with no means of regaining control. "Huh?" he wondered upon getting a good sniff as his new keen sense of smell was something he'd been starting to get used to for a while. After a while, he started having a look of surprise on his face. "Wait a minute; it couldn't be…"
He took another big whiff of the scene coming from the direction he was quickly heading in just to be on the safe side, and there's no doubt about it, the ones he's smelling were two old friends. "Oh man, I never thought Iris and Cilan would be here in the Kalos region," he said as he was surprised, they would want to visit him to see how he's doing but something hit him. "Now that I think about it, the two don't know that I am here, plus it would be a bad time to do so, given the current situation."
There were many things on his mind, okay sure Brock joined him when he was traveling through Hoenn. Then later on during Sinnoh while later on, Misty temporarily paid them, Max and May a visit during the former while the brown-haired Princess of Hoenn came to see the two male Kanto trainers and Dawn in the latter. The bluenette made an appearance following Ash winning all eight Unova Gym Badges and led to her meeting Iris and Cilan in Unova. Something which surprisingly also made her the only returning former companion not to have to deal with Jessie, James, and Meowth again, unlike Misty and May before her. "Wait a minute," he soon said, smelling something… someone whom he didn't recognize at all, and it seemed she wasn't alone either.
"Guess that must be the girl I'm supposed to help, then again Iris and Cilan might be already there to help her… Still, I did promise to go, to make sure she's okay."
As he began continuing his trek to where Mallow, Iris, and Cilan were all currently located, he still had this bad feeling in his body that he couldn't shake off. "I just hope I'm not too late," he said, making his way down the path faster, which was one of the only advantages of being a hybrid.
Ash could still feel a dread filling his stomach; he didn't know what he might even find. However, Ash also knew he couldn't sit around and let this girl become infected either.
Running faster, he could hear the girl crying and screaming at the ones attacking her to leave her alone, that she didn't want to become a hybrid. Hearing the screams of fear and the laughed and giggles, making Ash more concerned.
Ash soon arrived where the screaming came from and could now see who was attacking the girl who was crying out for help. "No, Iris Cilan," Ash said with a whisper looking at the two seeing both had become hybrids and lost their minds.
The two hybrids turned around both moments from infecting the girl before them, but they couldn't help but smile when they saw Ash. However, Ash was worried knowing that he might have to fight them, something that he didn't want.
A/N Okay, sorry that this chapter took so long, you see, I've recently, and even after that, we had no internet, but I'm back now so I can post my chapters.
As for the cliff hanger yes, Ash might have to fight both Cilan and Iris in the next chapter, well once they find out Ash still has his human mind and they won't be the only one to find out.
I've also added more information with Misty and her family. I mean, in canon, her parents did leave Misty and her sisters. However, in many of my fanfiction stories, I will have them pass away.
Please ask me any questions as I don't mind answering them as to what will happen next time you'll have to wait and see.
