Disclaimer: A new chapter. I'm sorry this took so long. Since real life got in my way again. So, I'm keeping this short here.
Chapter 21: The Hidden Lab
A lovely young woman is currently standing near a video phone with fair skin, brown eyes, and long purple hair covered by a black-striped white baseball cap with a lightning bolt on the front. Aside from her hat, her outfit consisted of a pale blue t-shirt, a yellow jacket with black stripes, striped white shorts with a red belt, and brown and white sneakers. She also had a green backpack and wore a yellow horn around her neck. "I just hope Misty's doing okay," she said to herself as she dialed a number and waited patiently for someone to answer. It had been a long time since they ever interacted, so she wanted to make sure the orange-haired Gym Leader wouldn't do anything reckless since the virus was still spreading across their entire world.
"Hello?"
"Hey, this is Casey," said the violet-haired girl upon hearing the voice of Misty's sister Daisy at the other end and noticed that the blonde was frowning, which meant something must've happened. "Can I speak with Misty?"
"She's not here right now," explained Daisy, even more worried than ever for her little sister as even Violet and Lily still feared the possibility that the worst may have happened since she left.
"Huh?" wondered Casey, as she never expected Misty to be out at a time like this since nobody's supposed to be outside with everything happening, especially without Pokémon to protect them. "Is she in her room by any chance?"
"Actually, no…" Daisy replied, since the next thing she was about to reveal would shock the young woman from Johto significantly, given how she had been friends with the Tomboyish Mermaid since their meeting there. "Our baby sister went out to see if she could find Ash, fearing that he might've potentially been infected by this damned virus."
"SAY WHAT?!" exclaimed Casey in absolute shock, almost dropping the phone she was still holding when hearing the news. "Why the hell, would Misty even do that?!"
"I don't know, we did recommend that she bring her best Water-type Pokémon before she left," she answered, thinking back to the last conversation she, Lily, and Violet had with Misty earlier, and it still pained them to not hear anything from her since then. "She hasn't called us at all following this either, something that really makes me worried."
"I see," said Casey as it was starting to make her wish she had called the Cerulean Gym sooner when this whole situation began. "Where did she go?"
"To the Kalos region," answered Daisy before something clicked into the back of her mind, and she had a feeling she knew why Casey would ask this of her. "Hold on, you're not thinking about going there too, are you?! Yeah, and what if you also get infected, Casey?!"
"The whole world is slowly turning into hybrids," Casey said, knowing some of her friends had become hybrids. "I've already seen what this virus is doing."
Daisy sighed as she looked at Casey, knowing the girl still wanted to help, but the risk of getting infected was a high chance. "Look what happens if you get infected?" Daisy asked with a frown, the blonde already getting worried that her little sister might have suffered the same fate.
Casey nodded, and she knew that her parents wouldn't like it if this happened to her. "I just wish I knew what I could do to help," the young girl said with fear in her worried voice.
Daisy sighed since all she could do was fight back the tears, as all she wanted was for her sister to call her. Let her know she had found Ash, but Daisy feared for her little sister. "Trust me, I know, but we need to stay where we are safe, okay," Daisy said, but it was more like she was begging Casey to stay where she would be safe.
Hearing this from Misty's older sister made sense to Casey, and she hated it, there was no doubt. "Miss Daisy," Casey said, cutting off Daisy from the worrying thought on her mind.
Daisy sighed and pushed all thoughts about Misty from her worried mind on what happened to her. "Yeah, I'm just worried about my sister," Daisy said before smiling at Casey. "Look, I'm sure Misty is fine."
Casey nodded, hoping that Daisy was right and Misty and the others were still safe from harm and not infected. "Yeah, I'm sure Ash and the others are okay."
Meanwhile, Misty and her friends kept running, with Macy looking back, knowing how close they were to getting grabbed by the hybrids. "What are we going to do now?" Zoey asked as Macy looked at the older teen.
"We need to keep runny," Sherry said, knowing that a hybrid will not stop chasing until they have what they wanted. "They won't let us go," Sherry said, looking at the only two females not infected.
"Great, that's all we need," Zoey said, seeing how Sherry looked at her and knew what the hybrids wanted.
"But why would they want us?" Macy asked as they weren't a threat.
Misty knew what they wanted, remembering the male who had infected her. "When I got infected, the one who did so kept coming after me," Misty said as she stopped running, thinking about what the male Vaporeon wanted from her.
Sherry looked at Misty and knew what had happened to her. "Yeah, they will want you. All of you and us," Sherry said, looking at everyone. "The female hybrids will want the males and the males will want the females."
"Great, so we'll become hybrids then?" Zoey asked as she hated the thought of becoming one.
Dawn smiled, knowing she wouldn't let this happen. Dawn then looked at Zoey and smiled, and she would keep her old friend safe from getting infected. "Not if we keep running, besides, if they do catch up we can fight them off right Sherry?"
Sherry looked at Dawn and knew she was right, they could fight them off, but they had no idea how many hybrids were following them. "We could, Dawn, but only if we have the numbers on our side," Sherry told her.
'We can help if you need us,' Pikachu said as he was still upset, knowing Ash had succumbed to being a hybrid.
"Yeah, that could work look just don't let them bite you," Sherry said as Misty nodded since Misty knew what happened with Anabel's Espeon.
"Sherry is right. I've seen what can happen to Pokémon bitten by a hybrid," Misty added as she still hated this virus. "That's why we need to keep moving and find the lab, and who knows, maybe a cure.
"If not, maybe some answers," Gary added, hoping to find a phone since he left his back at the house. "I can call grandpa and let him know what's happened."
Dawn was shocked to hear Gary say this, and while she wanted to see her mother and let her know she was still alive. "Are you sure that's a good idea?" Dawn asked, knowing how their family would react to what's happened. "I mean, come on look at us we're not even human anymore, and our minds are slowly going."
"Hey, we'll find a cure, then everything will be back to how it was before," Zoey said, smiling at her crush. "What is it you always tell us, Dawn? No need to worry, am I right?"
"Then we better get moving," Davy told the others, as they soon were on the move, with newfound hope in finding the lab. "We'll also keep an eye on you, Sherry. I know you're still worried about your mind."
"Thanks, Davy, I wait," Sherry said, smiling at Davy, but she stopped looking around the area. "I think we're about a day from the lab."
"I hope so, and besides, my brother and I still have a score to settle with the ones who caused this damned infection in the first place."
Sherry frowned as she knew how much Virgil and Davy despised the people behind that lab with a passion. However, she prayed that there wouldn't be any hidden surprises in store as she noticed that Glaceon was feeling rather down. "You okay, Glaceon?" she asked of the female Fresh Snow Pokémon with concern in her voice.
'Yeah, I'm fine,' Glaceon replied to Sherry, although she knew that May was out there and her mother could attack them at any given moment, making the female Ice-type shudder even more. 'I was just secretly hoping that we don't have to fight against mama anytime soon.'
"I know how you feel, especially since I'm worried that sooner or later, I'll lose control completely. The same with Dawn and Misty," said the young girl with a frown, hoping that they'll be able to find the lab before that could happen. "Maybe we'll actually be able to find a means of curing everyone before then."
'Wait really?'
"Yes, at least that's what I'm hoping for," she replied as she wanted to help Glaceon feel better to some extent and especially ever since having heard about her having seen May as her mother even to this day.
Glaceon remained silent, thinking about what Sherry was telling her, and smiled lightly before nodding her head. 'I just hope you're right,' she spoke to the young girl; the brief talk did help a bit with the feelings of uncertainty she had going through her mind.
She nodded back to Glaceon and then noticed something passing by rather quickly, and it moved so fast that she didn't get a chance to see what it was properly. 'What's wrong?' asked Glaceon as she suddenly noticed the expression of urgency that Sherry now showed.
"I could've sworn I saw something earlier," said Sherry, although she hoped that it was just her eyes playing tricks on her. For now, they needed to keep going if they were to locate the lab before anything else decided to go wrong. "Maybe I was just seeing things; in any case, we better get going."
'Okay…'
Little did the group know that they were being watched from outside by three figures staying hidden within the shadows. "So, that bitch is now a hybrid too… a pity. I was hoping that she wouldn't have survived the infection that turned the three of us into what we are right now," began one of the figures with a glare.
"Indeed, still let's keep an eye on them for now; we'll inform the others about what they could be up to later. Or maybe we can use that to our advantage in some form or another," another male replied, his attention was also towards Misty specifically. "Then again, it wouldn't be too much of a problem if one hybrid is lost in the whole ordeal."
"Good idea, she may have been lucky when that stupid Gyarados managed to send us packing at the Cerulean Gym just when we were going to take her down for good, but her luck is about to run out soon; enough my brothers then will have our vengeance…."
Meanwhile, Ash was still spending time with his mates. The Lucario hybrid only smiled as he had sex with Spring. The Miltank hybrid continued to moan in pleasure from her mate's cock inside her. "Moo, Ash that feels amazing!" she cried out with joy.
Ash moaned and nodded, hearing this since he wanted to make his mate feel great. No, he wanted her to feel amazing. "Argh, Spring, you feel so tight!" Ash grunted, and he closed his eyes.
"Yes, Ash, keep going!" Spring moaned as she looked at her two sisters, both wanting and waiting for their turn.
They weren't alone as Melody and Mallow watched and giggled. "Hmm, I hope we can have our turn soon," Mallow said with a lustful grin.
Melody nodded as she couldn't help but giggle and looked at Mallow. "I think we need to work on who will go next," Melody said with a smile and brought Mallow closer.
The two female hybrids smiled and knew Ash would be a while making love with Spring since they could see the Miltank girl moaning. "Hmm, oh she is so loving it, I am dying to get my turn," Mallow said as she soon moaned and noticed Melody sucking on her breasts.
"Ahh, Melody!" Mallow cried out as she looked at the Pikachu hybrid, who smiled as she kept pleasing her lover. "Come on, now's not the time for this."
Melody only smiled and brought Mallow closer to her body. It was close enough that the two female hybrids felt their breasts rubbing against each other. "Aww, but I want to have some fun with you, Mallow," Melody said and soon giggled before she went back to sucking on Mallow's breasts.
Ash looked at the two and smirked at the sight. "Oh, Melody, I bet I know who you want to do this to?" Ash asked with a grin and pushed harder into the Miltank girl he was having sex with, wanting never to stop. "And you know what. I want to see you sucking on Misty's breasts."
"Oh, I bet she does," Spring said as she cried out, feeling Ash going faster as she looked at her mate. Ash smiled as he pulled Spring closer and began sucking on her breasts, making her moo. "Hmm, Ash moo," the Miltank hybrid cried and could see her two older sisters still waiting.
Melody couldn't help but smile, knowing she wanted to find Misty even more. "Hmm, I do, I want Misty and the others all here so we can all be together!" Melody said and closed her eyes.
"Oh, you will, Melody," Ash said and then looked at Spring's two sisters holding back their lust. "Don't worry, you two. I'm almost done here."
"Well, that's good to know."
It didn't take long before the young man from Pallet Town sensed something, which didn't go unnoticed by the others as they noticed the expression that he now had. "Ash?" asked Summer as she started to become rather concerned. "Is something the matter?"
"I could've sworn that I sensed someone," began Ash with surprise on his face, suspecting that whoever he sensed felt rather familiar to him, yet Ash couldn't put his finger on it. "It must have been my Aura kicking in."
"Wait, your Aura?" asked a confused Mallow as she, Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Melody were now rather confused by what Ash was talking about, wanting to know more.
Ash nodded his head before carefully explaining to the girls everything he knew about Aura and what it is capable of when used by a select few people, such as Aura Guardians. "Wow, I didn't see that coming," began the greenette with surprise on her face while Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Melody all nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, no kidding!"
"You know Ash, I've been really curious about something," said Spring, wanting to ask this of her beloved mate. It concerned what he mentioned earlier about sensing something or rather someone due to the Aura he has inside his very body. "Who exactly did you sense?"
"I'm not sure, to be honest," Ash replied, knowing that his Aura had limits since he wasn't trained in becoming a fully realized Aura Guardian, although he didn't honestly care all that much at all as he was happy as a hybrid. "My power has limits which is a shame because I could've used it to easily find the others no problem."
"Oh, that is a real shame…." Mallow began frowning, having hoped it would help them find Misty and the others he mentioned earlier, not to mention there were others out there who could try to return everyone to their normal states. "I mean it would've been so cool to see what you can do with Aura right before our very eyes."
"I'll say," added Melody, she too was somewhat disappointed, but it didn't matter as them all being together right now helped them all be together as loving couples. "While I'd like to see Misty again after so long, at least we still have each other am I right?"
"Oh, you're right," said a smiling Summer before turning her attention to Ash, especially as she and Autumn wanted to have some fun with him. That was all before he had sensed someone earlier, but who did their mate sense. "Now, where were we?"
It didn't take long before Ash realized what Summer meant. "Oh yeah, thanks for the reminder, Summer," Ash replied as he looked at her and Autumn with lust in his eyes and his body wanting him to mate with the two Miltank girls even more than ever.
Spring soon cried out as Ash grunted. "Argh, Spring, I'm cumming!" Ash cried out, pumping his seed into the Miltank girl; all Spring could do as she felt Ash fill her womb was cry and let out a happy moan.
"Ash, yes, please do it impregnate me, please!" Spring moaned and gave a few moos as she felt Ash's seed. "Please, Ash, make me a mother!" Spring moaned with happiness.
Spring's two sisters smiled as they looked at their little sister happy, and they hoped she would get the wish she wanted. "Aww, I think our little sister is having so much fun," Summer said with a giggle, and then she looked at Autumn.
"Yeah, but I know I want to have my turn next," Autumn said as she looked at the others.
Ash only smiled, knowing that Autumn wanted her turn to have some fun, and he had all the energy he needed. "Don't worry Autumn, your next," Ash said and moved over to her as he soon kissed his mate.
Autumn couldn't help but smile when she heard this from Ash as the Miltank girl soon ran over to Ash, kissing her mate, knowing that she would become a mother. "Oh yes, thank you so much, Ash, my love, my sexy mate."
Ash only smiled and brought her closer and kissed her. "Don't worry, my love. You'll all get your wish," he told her as his other mates all smiled and giggled and soon moved closer to Ash, as each of his mates kissed him.
Meanwhile, the group continued to run as Sherry stopped looking around, and soon a smile crossed her face. It was something the others noticed. "Sherry?" Misty began, looking at the Pachirisu woman.
Sherry nodded and then looked at Misty. "Yes, I think we're getting closer to the lab, which this shit started," Sherry said as the group looked at Sherry, and soon they all became worried.
"Okay, but we should still watch our backs," Virgil said as everyone had to agree with him. "We have no idea what we might find there," he told the group.
"Maybe others like me," Sherry said with fear, but she was still worried and had fear building inside her. "Like I said, I heard screaming," Sherry said, but they needed to keep going.
The group continued walking while making sure no hybrids followed them. After an hour, Sherry stopped and looked at the landmark she remembered passing when she escaped the lab. "We're getting closer," Sherry said, feeling the chill going down her spine.
Misty and Dawn looked at the poor girl seeing the fearful look forming on her, and they didn't want her joining them. They didn't want the trauma of what Sherry had faced within the lab to come back to her. "Sherry, maybe you should stay outside when we reach the lab," Misty said, looking at the Pachirisu woman. "We know you don't want to go back."
Sherry nodded at the thought of going back to that place. It was something that still worried her about what they could find when they reached the hidden lab. "Yeah, good idea, who knows what could happen if I went in that lab," Sherry said, frowning, worried about what could happen.
"Yeah, we have no idea if you'll lose your mind when we're in that place," Davy said as he looked at Sherry, unsure how long she had left.
Dawn became worried Sherry and Ash had been infected for a longer time. "How much longer do you have?" Dawn asked, seeing the distance look in Sherry's eyes.
"Not long since I can feel it slipping, Dawn. It's getting harder to think," Sherry began looking at the group. "I can feel the desire growing inside. All I want to do is take you two somewhere and..." Sherry began and looked at Dawn and Misty.
"Yeah, I know Sherry," Dawn said, worried for the girl, and she too could feel the desire growing but was still fighting it.
"Aww, you can feel it right?" the voice whispered to Dawn and soon giggled. "I know there is someone that we could even have join us Dawn," the voice continued.
"No, I won't do it," Dawn told the voice that only laughed at her.
"Aww, come on, we both know you like her, why because I am you, Dawn. I'm the you who wants nothing more than to be free from the prison that your fighting."
"Shut up, I'm nothing like you," Dawn told the voice with scorn, and she wasn't going to lose.
"Come on, Dawn, I know you want Zoey. No, WE want Zoey," the voice said in a harsh tone, one that shocked Dawn by the tone it used on her. "So, stop fighting it, stop Dawn, since this is the new world we are now living in. You love Zoey just as much as you love Ash."
"What no I..." Dawn began, but she didn't get her chance to finish as the inner voice stopped her.
"Don't lie, Dawn. I told you I'm you. I know that you want nothing more than to jump on Zoey, remove her stupid human clothes, and then fuck her," the voice said with a smile. "Maybe Sherry and Misty can join us free them from their human minds, then we can find Ash together," the voice added as she giggled. "I do wonder what sexy hybrid Zoey would become?"
"Are you insane, I can't do that!"
"You will, and you know it too," the voice replied simply, wanting to remind Dawn about how happy she was when having reunited with Ash during his time in the Unova region. Even though the young man from Pallet Town could be dense a lot of the time, it made her somewhat annoyed at times, even back in Sinnoh. "Besides, why else would you decline in going with Kenny?"
"Don't you dare bring his name up!" Dawn mentally snapped with a scowl on her face, her cheeks turning pink at those words.
The voice only giggled, finding the expression too amusing and cute. "Why shouldn't I do so, little Dawn? It's not like you had any feelings for your childhood friend anyway," it replied to the bluenette, having suspected Kenny had feelings for her. However, they might have been broken by this point due to Dawn rejecting Kenny's proposal to travel with him even after he defeated Ash in their battle.
There was nothing but silence coming from the young girl from Twinleaf Town, especially as this made her uncertain about how she should respond to her hybrid counterpart. "There's no sense in lying to yourself forever. Sooner or later, you'll have to realize the truth," the voice continued speaking to break the poor girl mentally. "Face it, you're weak… you always were weak… and you'll always be weak unless you accept your destiny."
"You're wrong!"
"Am I? Then prove it to me," said the voice, thinking this was an excellent opportunity for her to succumb to her transformation and finish it finally. "Be strong, and reveal your true self; make Misty, Sherry, and Zoey your beloved mates!"
Sadly this was all that Dawn could take as she let out a scream. "NO, STOP IT!" she cried out, getting the attention of the others, worrying them when they saw that the poor girl was holding her head like what happened with Sherry earlier.
"Dawn!" Sherry immediately approached Dawn, praying that she wasn't suffering from a nervous breakdown similar to what she had also gone through. It took quite some time for the bluenette to calm down, which made everyone, even Pikachu, Glaceon, and Buneary, relieved when witnessing that she started relaxing. "It looked like you saw a ghost. What happened?"
"It was that damn voice in my head again…" Dawn replied as tears started to form in her eyes, fearing losing complete control even more than ever. "I thought I was actually going to lose my humanity there."
"I know how you feel," said Misty, understanding how the bluenette felt given what she experienced and wanted to do her best to help her friend from Sinnoh. "Still, we need to keep fighting. Once we reach the lab and stop those bastards responsible for the virus, it'll all be over."
Dawn lowered her head, still feeling worried about the previous conversation. "I just hope you are right, Misty, because I'm not sure if I can take this anymore," Dawn replied after thinking this through.
"Yeah, so do I," she replied to Dawn, uncertain if they'll be successful, although there was something else on her mind and more so as she didn't know if the other people she knew had been infected by the virus, ones like her mother and other friends at this very moment by now. "I just wish I knew what's going on with Brock right now; hopefully, he and anyone else with him are safe.
Delia was now walking around her home, hearing the news about another city being taken over by the hybrids. Delia could see the newswoman with fear on her worried face seeing the terrified people behind her running from the city behind her. "I wonder what city they have taken now?"
"As you can see, another City has fallen, this virus," the woman said, hearing screams from behind. "The Elite Four and other high-ranking trainers are trying to save as many people as possible."
"No stop!" a man cried as he looked at his infected girlfriend. "She's sick and needs help she's not infected!" he cried out in tears as the poor woman screamed in pain, and Delia could see her transformation starting.
The poor woman's face started pushing out, a horn grew out from her forehead, and her skin had started turning white. "Ahh, it hurts!" she cried in pain as her legs soon fussed together.
Delia watched with fear seeing the man rush over to his girlfriend or wife. Delia knew that was a mistake. The poor woman's arms formed into flippers, as many others were still running away from the hybrids leaving the city.
Delia saw the poor woman had finished her transformation as it seemed she had become a Dewgong hybrid. As Delia continued watching, she saw her boyfriend or husband move closer to the new hybrid.
"Sir please you need to get away from her!" the newswoman cried out with concern, but the warning was too late.
Delia and others watching the news watched as the female Dewgong hybrid bites her boyfriend, thus infecting him. "Ahh!" he cried out as she pushed him to the ground with a lustful smile.
With horror on her face, Delia couldn't turn away as she watched the man before her slowly change into a Dewgong hybrid, and any clothes had worn got ripped apart by his transformation.
"Oh sweet Arceus," the newswoman said with fear as she and her cameraman filmed the two new hybrids consummating their love as both hybrids cried out with pleasure.
"Oh, look, she's filming us, maybe she wants to join us in on the fun," the Dewgong woman said with a smirk, looking at the newswoman with lust.
However, Delia noticed the woman and her cameraman started running from the two hybrids, but as they looked back, Delia noticed more hybrids following them. "Keep running!"
Delia continued watching until the video on her television soon turned to static. "It seems we have lost contact. We'll try to keep you informed as we get more information. Until then, please stay where your safe," the news anchor said with fear. "We'll all get through this together."
Delia sighed as she turned off her television and looked out the window seeing high-ranking trainers walking around Pallet Town, making sure no one was infected.
"Delia," a voice called out to her as she looked to see professor Oak looking at the poor woman, and he could see she had been crying.
"I still haven't heard anything from Ash," Delia said, wiping away the tears as she looked at professor Oak with deep worry over what could have happened to her son. "What if my baby boy has become infected by this virus?" Delia asked, wishing that she would get any information on her son.
Sadly, Delia knew that it would be almost impossible to find this out, and all she could hope was that Ash wasn't infected. Despite the dwindling hope entering her mind, Delia knew deep within her heart that her son was most likely a victim of this virus.
Meanwhile, the group continued their search for the hidden laboratory and the origin of the fucking virus. Gary looks at his PokéGear, trying to call his grandfather so he and the others will know more about this virus.
Virgil looked at Gary, knowing what he was trying to do, and he hoped he could contact his grandfather. "Any luck in getting your grandfather?" Virgil asked as he looked at Gary, seeing him worried.
"Nothing," Gary said, trying again, but he couldn't reach him as he looked at the others. "If I do should I tell him what's happened to the others?" Gary asked as he looked at Misty and Dawn.
All three hybrids looked at each other, taking a few short moments to think about this and what Gary was asking. "I think you should," Sherry said with a thoughtful look on her concerned face. "Your family needs to know so they won't come looking for us."
Gary looked at the three since he wasn't sure how their families would take the news. Well, namely Dawn's and Misty's. Gary wasn't sure about Sherry's family. "I'll keep trying. If I can't reach my grandpa, I'll see if I can reach Ash's mum," Gary said, and he hoped she would take the news well. Since he wasn't sure how she would take it, finding out her son had fallen to the virus.
Virgil looked at the three hybrid women, and he still wondered how they were dealing with the virus. Virgil's eyes turned to look at Sherry, seeing the Pachirisu woman. "How are you three feeling?"
The three smiled as they looked at Virgil, knowing why he asked them this. "My head is still clear. I just hope I can keep it that way," Misty said with a smile, but she knew her infection was still new.
"I'm doing okay too. I wish I knew how long I had left," Dawn said with fear, worried about what would happen once she lost her mind.
"Dawn..." Zoey began looking at her rival and crush, wanting to help her in any way she could for her friend.
Dawn only turned to look at Zoey, and seeing the look in her eyes, caused her to become worried. "Zoey, look, I know that you want to help me, but please if I lose my mind you need to run for it."
"But…"
"I'm begging you right now since there's a chance that I'll start becoming exactly like the other hybrids sooner or later. So promise that you'll leave if that ever happens," explained Dawn, looking into the red-haired girl's eyes with some hope should the worse ever come to be at any point of their journey to the lab.
Hearing this made Zoey even more concerned than ever, part of her didn't want anything bad to happen to the bluenette, but on the other hand, she knew that her friend from Twinleaf Town made a very valid point. "Okay, I promise…" she said after giving it some thought. "Although part of me hopes that this would never happen as I want things back the way they were."
"Yeah, me too," Dawn replied with a small nod, wishing they'd be able to find the lab before she, Misty, and Sherry finally lost any humanity that they had left. "I just wish I'd be able to speak with my mother. I'm really worried about her after all."
"Understandable, we all are concerned for those we care about during this damned ordeal," began a still, very concerned Zoey as she looked at the others. Since she heard about Gary attempting to contact his grandfather and then Ash's mother at some point, plus she still couldn't forget how both Virgil and Davy lost their father to the spreading infection. "A shame we wouldn't be able to do so for May's parents since even I don't know their number, sadly."
"Don't remind me…" muttered Dawn as part of her wished she could've met May's family, whether it be on a video phone call or in person, as this was one of the few regrets that she had, same with not meeting or interacting with Cilan's brothers Chili and Cress from the Stration Gym. "This is going to break their hearts when they find out what happened."
"Yeah, I know…" commented Zoey, as there were also many things to consider, including how they would break the news to their respective family members. Then again, she hoped Candice would be able to keep from being infected herself. "I'm feeling the same way regarding Candice."
"Oh yeah, the two of you came from the same hometown as I remember," remarked Dawn, thinking back to her travels with Ash and Brock through the Sinnoh region, which made her smile. "Then there's Kenny, Barry, and Leona, my other childhood friends, as I'm worried about them too, and I know I hurt Kenny by declining to go with him despite his victory against Ash, but..."
"He told me that it's okay since he understands why you chose to stay with Ash when it came to what transpired before parting ways with him," assured Zoey, as it was clear that Kenny knew that Dawn only saw him as a friend and accepted it. "Not to mention that it's clear you have feelings for someone else.'
Hearing this surprised Dawn when Zoey brought it up, especially given the red-haired girl's crush on her. "What do you mean?" she asked of her friend and rival, somewhat flustered when it was brought up, although she gave a reassuring smile.
"It's nothing, don't worry about it," Zoey replied, knowing now wasn't the time for her to tease her friend/crush given the circumstances, and hoped to help her follow her heart once this was finally over. "First things first, we should focus on finding the lab and putting an end to the whole mess that it's caused."
"Okay…"
Noticing that the bluenette was starting to feel a little better, Zoey started smiling, although this changed as Gary let out a frustrated groan as it was clear that there wasn't anyone answering his calls to the Pokémon Lab in Pallet Town. "Is something the matter, Gary?" she asked of the young researcher upon turning her attention towards him.
"Grandpa's not answering…" commented Gary before giving a deep sigh, knowing that he'd have to try something else, part of him had hoped he would never do this. "Guess there's no other option. Let's give Ash's house a call."
Meanwhile, Professor Spencer Hale and his wife made sure that Molly and her Teddiursa were tucked in bed and managed to contact Pallet Town since they were praying Delia and Oak were doing okay. "I see, so things are getting worse, just like here?" he asked his friend with a stern expression on his face as he and the other professors of the Pokémon World were still trying all they could to create an actual working cure before it was too late.
"Yes, and with the way the virus is evolving, it's only a matter of time before it completely spreads throughout the entire world," Delia told Spencer with concern.
The news made Spencer frown, praying that this would be the only bad news he would receive, although part of him hated the next thing he was going to ask. "What about Ash?" he spoke up, knowing that the young man would be out there somewhere, given how he and Delia kept in touch from time to time. "Is he made aware of what's happening?"
"I still haven't heard anything from him and I'm starting to become worried…."
"I see," he replied to Delia, wishing there was a way for him to help cheer her up and not wanting to see her in this current state of thinking. "Listen, I'm sure that.…."
His words were cut short as another phone call was heard, causing them to be surprised and wonder who that was. "Hello?" began Delia as she was the one to answer which made her hopeful that it could be Ash himself.
The voice at the other end responded after almost a few seconds. "Mrs. Ketchum, it's me, Gary Oak…" said Gary, causing both Spencer and Delia to be somewhat surprised to hear Oak's grandson having made contact, although they weren't exactly complaining since at least one of Ash's friends managed to call.
"Gary? Is that you?" asked Delia as she saw the image of Gary appearing on the screen and noticed that Umbreon was not in his Poké Ball, which meant that he'd been let out to protect his trainer from harm which included any hybrids that came their way.
"Yes, it's me…." Gary replied with some relief on his face as he was able to contact Ash's house since part of him regretted not doing so following the Johto League Silver Conference. Or anywhere during Ash's time, he was traveling through Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, the Decolore Islands, or even when he took on the Battle Frontier. "Professor Hale, I didn't know you were on the line too."
"I was just so happened to be speaking with Delia when you called," said Spencer as he, too, was surprised that there would be anyone contacting them since most of the world had already become victims of the spreading infection. "Still, I'm glad that you're still in one piece."
Delia nodded in agreement. "Part of me was actually hoping that Ash would call, but so far, there's been nothing from him yet," she explained to the spikey brown-haired young man with concern, knowing that Gary knew her son the longest besides Brock. "I was hoping that you'll be able to let him know if you came across him at one point, so he'll call home as soon as possible."
Hearing Ash's name started making Gary frown since Delia wasn't aware of what transpired up until this point, "Listen about Ash, there's something that you need to be informed about," he said, still uncertain of how to speak to the two as he thought about his next words.
"What about Ash? Is he with you right now?"
Gary took a deep breath, knowing what he was and needed to say would hurt Delia, but she needed to be also made aware. "Ash has become a hybrid; I didn't even know this until after Zoey and I met up with Dawn," he explained to Spencer and Delia with concern in his voice. "I'm really sorry, but it's something you needed to know…."
Delia was shocked to hear that her son had become a hybrid. "What no not my little Ash," Delia said with tears forming in her eyes, with her hands started to shake.
Gary could hear how shaken up Delia was hearing the news but knew she needed to know about the rest. "Look, it's not just Ash who got infected by this virus," Gary told Delia as he wondered how she would take the others getting infected.
Delia soon began to become worried hearing this as she looked at Gary. Delia could tell he had more to tell her, and she had a bad feeling she wouldn't like it. "What is it?"
Gary sighed and looked to the side as Misty and Dawn nodded. "Yeah, Misty and Dawn got infected too, but they still have their human minds," he told the poor woman.
"It's true, Mrs. Ketchum," Misty said as Delia looked at the poor girl seeing she had become a hybrid. "We're still fighting the infection," Misty said, smiling, but that smile soon fell. "But we're running out of time."
"Yeah, we have lost so many of our friends, May and Serena also lost their minds," Dawn said with sadness, knowing she would join them soon. "Soon we'll join Ash, but..." Dawn said, her face soon blushing.
Zoey soon noticed Dawn move her hands to her stomach; even Misty looked at Dawn, knowing what had happened. "Well, we are going to become mothers," Sherry said with a smile, but she closed her eyes, pushing out the thought, trying to take over.
"Wait what!" Delia cried from her end as Gary looked at the woman, unsure what she would say.
Dawn sighed and nodded, looking at Delia, and knew Sherry needed to tell her this. "It's true, and I'm sorry, but all of us, well not Misty are pregnant with Ash's child. As it's all thanks to our new minds that keep on trying to take over all the time we can become like other hybrids."
"Dawn's right, Mrs. Ketchum," Misty said as she cut in but looked at Dawn and then Zoey and the others. "We keep hearing this voice that wants us to give up and embrace our new forms."
Delia had a worried look on her face hearing this since all this information would help them know more about this virus. "Is there anything else you can tell us?" Oak asked from his end, taking notes.
"Yeah, thanks to Sherry, we're heading to the lab where this virus was made," Virgil said, but he felt that this wouldn't be easy since they had no idea what to look for in this damn place or how long it could take.
"If we can find anything," Macey said, feeling upset that maybe things would be the same. "Since we can't all head this lab we need someone outside."
Samuel Oak sighed, but he knew they needed any information they could get. It could help them work on a cure. "Okay Gary, look anything you find you make sure that you take it," Samuel told his grandson.
Gary nodded, but he was worried about what they would find there. Nobody knows the horrors that awaited them within the laboratory. "Yeah, we will but we have no idea what we might find, Sherry doesn't want to go back in there."
"Look, we need to hurry up. We know the longer we wait, the higher chance one of us will lose our human mind," Sherry said as she felt another pain within her mind. "I can feel my own still slipping."
The group nodded, but each had a concerned look for Sherry as Misty and Dawn placed their hands on Sherry's shoulders. "You're right. We need to get this done before one of us becomes a threat," Dawn said and then looked at Gary. "Look, tell our families what's happened to us they need to know, and not come after us."
Spencer, Oak, and Delia nodded as both knew it would only cause pain and worry for their families. "Please, just promise me that all of you will stay safe in that place," Delia said, smiling at everyone.
Knowing that they didn't have the time to keep talking since time for everyone was still running out for the girls. Garry ended the call as Delia did everything to fight back the tears.
However, Delia fell to her knees once the call ended. Delia could help but start crying over what had happened to her son and his friends.
"I'm sorry, Delia," Samuel told the poor woman knowing it had to hurt losing her son to this virus, but he knows there is still a glimmer of hope.
"Professor Oak is right, my friend," added Spencer, wanting to do all he could to help Delia through her grief, knowing that his daughter Molly must've felt the same way during his time back when he previously got trapped in the Unown's dimension. "From what I remember, you had gone through a lot when you were Ash's age."
"That's entirely different!"
Hearing this made Spencer and Oak even more concerned when they saw how Delia reacted, given how her worst fears had ultimately come through. "It's different yet, but at the same time, it isn't exactly too different from what's happening right now," he tried to assure their friend once again since there were more important things they needed to focus on the cure. "If anything, once the cure is finally ready, we'll be able to help everyone infected, including Ash."
"The prototype is nearing its completion as we speak," added Oak, as there was something else on his mind, something of the utmost importance, that had to be addressed hence why he hadn't been able to interact with his grandson Gary until now. He prayed that it wouldn't have any negative side effects. "Unfortunately, we'll still need to test it to see if it'll work and if it does, we'll be able to mass-produce it."
Delia didn't say a word, her eyes still filled with tears as she looked up at both professors, even with the good news being shared with her. "And if it doesn't?" she asked the two, fearing the worse more than ever.
"Let's not think about that, shall we?" asked a frowning Oak, knowing it's for the best never to think about the possibility of it failing to cure anyone. "For now, our focus is to get it ready and refined so it will succeed in its task."
Oak then turned his attention towards Spencer. "Anything from Schuyler in regard to what's causing the infection to spread so rapidly?" he asked the younger male.
"Sadly nothing, although he has warned me that even if Pokémon are immune to the infection, there might be a chance it may have some kind of effect."
"I see…" Oak frowned again since part of him hoped Schuyler wouldn't be infected while investigating the matter since they had already lost so many people to the virus and dreaded the eventual end of all mankind. "If we're lucky, we might be able to actually find a means to stop whoever was responsible for creating that virus, and if our luck holds up, it'll contribute to finally bringing this madness to an end."
"Let's hope you're right, Professor," said Spencer while nodding his head in agreement, looking out the window again as it looked like a bad storm was starting to occur right now.
"W-WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!"
The Sensational Sisters were horrified when Tracey revealed to three of them the terrible news regarding what had happened. "You're saying that our baby sister is now one of those hybrids running around?!" exclaimed Daisy as even Violet and Lily were left completely devastated at the revelation.
"I'm sorry, but it's true… as if Ash having been infected wasn't enough," he told his girlfriend and his potential future sisters-in-law; part of him wished he could've accompanied Misty to locate their friend from Pallet Town. "Fortunately, she still has her human mind, which is a good thing and could help us if something else went wrong."
"And that's supposed to make us feel better?!" snapped Lily with a glare and tears in her eyes, knowing that while they picked on Misty back then, they still loved her. "I know letting her go out there was a huge mistake… why did we…."
"Look, what's done is done…." Tracey told the pinkette, not wanting to be harsh on her, but there was more he wanted to tell the three young women, knowing it'll help them put an end to the growing infection before it's too late for everyone in the Pokémon World. "Then again, I had previously spoken with Misty before she left to find Ash."
"Oh really?" Violet asked as she looked at the young man from the Orange Islands. "What exactly did the two of you talk about?"
Frowning, Tracey thought back to the last conversation Tracey had with Misty when she departed for the Kalos region, and part of him was surprised when she brought up something that she didn't tell anyone else. "She said that while she was becoming used to being the Gym Leader of Cerulean. Misty wished that it hadn't been forced upon her ever since Misty finished her travels with Ash and Brock in the Johto region," Tracey spoke, having never really thought about what his friend wanted when it came to life. He initially believed that she had accepted her role of becoming a Gym Leader by this point.
"Wait, forced it upon her? All we did was…."
"Ask her to look after the Gym while you three got to travel around the world," Tracey finished for Daisy, thinking about what Misty revealed to him following having to save the Cerulean Gym from being shut down.
Tracey then found out that Misty also needed to overcome her fear of Gyarados at the same time too, despite what the Invincible Pokémon Brothers tried to do. "However, you seem to have forgotten about her dream of becoming a wonderful Water-type Pokémon Trainer. A dream she could've actually achieved had it not been for not being told about this trip beforehand when she was still in Johto."
The three women lowered their heads; while Tracey sounded somewhat harsh towards them, he made a valid point the more they thought about it. "We had no idea that Misty was actually feeling this way," said Violet, being the one to speak after a moment of silence.
The three sisters said nothing hearing this and what they did to their little sister. "What do we do?" Violet asked, still upset hearing about what happened to Misty.
Tracey didn't say a word, but he looked at Daisy; he wished he knew what to say to her as they were now more worried for Misty. "We need to find her," Daisy said, standing to her feet.
"Daisy," Lilly and Violet spoke, looking at their older sister. "What do you mean?" the two asked, knowing how dangerous that could be for them. "Daisy, I want to help, but Misty's a hybrid even if she still has her mind."
Tracey was standing next to her, worried this could get her infected by this virus. "Daisy what if you get infected too," Tracey spoke, worried that he would lose the woman he loved.
Daisy quickly turned to face Tracey and smiled at him. "If I do, then at the very least, we can all be together," Daisy told her boyfriend, looking at what she might need to find her baby sister.
Lilly and Violet then looked at Daisy and nodded. They both knew she was right; they all needed to find Misty. "Daisy is right; we need to find Misty, yes, we could get infected, but at least we'll be hybrids together as a family. We lost our parents. We won't lose each other," Lilly said with determination.
Tracey looked at the three sisters knowing that no matter what he would say, all three would still leave to find Misty. Tracey sighed since he could tell that none of them would get talked out of this mission. "Fine, but I'm coming with you, and we should let the others know," Tracey said as Daisy, Lilly, and Violet nodded.
The three watched as Tracey left to tell Delia and Oak what would happen. "I hope we can find our baby sister," Daisy said, looking at her two sisters.
Unknown to anyone, the group has entered the hidden lab, and they could already catch the smell of death. It was a smell that made them feel sick to their stomach. "God that smell," Zoey said as she covered her face.
Sherry held her breath, knowing the horrors they would find. "I can't go in there, I'm sorry I thought I could but I can't," Sherry cried with distress as Misty and Dawn hugged her.
"Hey, you don't have to come with us wait out here with Davy and Virgil," Misty said, giving Sherry a much-needed reassuring smile. Misty soon looked at Dawn and everyone else, seeing many were ready to go into the lab and get any information they could find.
The first thing everyone noticed was a dead hybrid, but it didn't look right to them. "What the hell is wrong with this hybrid?" Zoey questioned, looking at the dead female hybrid.
Everyone looked at this hybrid, seeing that it somehow underwent two transformations. The upper half was half Ponyta, with the legs sticking out from her chest and back; even the side of her face had an extra mouth growing.
As everyone looked at the lower half, it seemed from what they could tell that the poor woman was changing into a Butterfree. "Oh god, what the hell happened to her? It's like she was changing into two hybrids?" Misty asked; she could only think of the pain this woman was in when she was turning.
"This was an early version of the virus," Sherry spoke up, with everyone turning to her, seeing the grim look she had. "So many suffered because of this. You will find many more inside," Sherry whispered and walked away as Virgil and Davy watched before the two and joined her.
Everyone else stayed silent, looking into the darkness of the lab. The very same that created this virus, Misty and many breathed deeply, knowing that the answers they wanted were somewhere within.
"I'll stay out here with the others if you don't mind," Macey said since the poor girl was already feeling sick from seeing one dead hybrid.
"Let's go and get this over with," Gary spoke, but the young researcher had this growing dread, only he didn't know why he felt this way. Gary looked at the three coming with him.
"What about you two?" Zoey asked the two dead ghosts who were still helping them.
Lucario and Sir Aaron said nothing looking at Zoey, but they noticed Sherry. The two could tell that the poor hybrid wouldn't last one more day; Sherry would soon lose her human mind.
"We'll stay outside," Lucario told the four as he turned his full attention to Sherry, the poor blonde taking deep breaths. "We need to still watch her."
Sir Aaron nodded, and then he looked at Misty and Dawn; he could tell how worried the two were about Sherry. "I fear she only has maybe a day left, so we'll train her so she'll reawaken her human mind."
Misty and Dawn nodded, looking at Sherry; neither wanted the poor girl to come with them, as who knows what could happen to her. "Please look after her," Dawn whispered, feeling awful that they had to leave Sherry.
Misty smiled as she looked at the Pokémon, mainly Pikachu. Misty knew she could trust him to help the others if they needed it. "Pikachu, can you stay outside with the others?" Misty asked, smiling at Pikachu.
'Yes, you can count on us, Misty,' Pikachu said with a smile, and the yellow mouse looked at Buneary and Glaceon. The two female Pokémon the two showing the same smile.
No one said anything else as they headed into the lab. They were all on a mission to find a cure or any notes on this virus. Little did the group know, as they made their way deeper into the abounded lab, something watched the four vanish into the darkness, with the glowing eyes watching and following the four.
A/N, okay, this also took a while, thanks to real-life getting in my way. The good news is my sister has a house, but things still need setting up on her end.
Anyway, as you can tell from the end, some early hybrids didn't transform right, such as the woman they found dead. I wanted to make the poor woman's change look painful.
I will have more, and if you would like a gross transformation within the lab, leave a comment on what mash-up of hybrids the person was, and I will have them in the story.
So, until the next chapter, please leave a review, and yes, there will still be more girls that will join Ash in his Harem.
