Since there's probably not going to be any more Banjo-Kazooie games in the next 100 years I decided to come up with my own idea for a sequel.

I could use Gruntilda as the main villain but I wanted to be more creative. So I came up with an OC.

I figured that if the Jinjos could have a king, why not the Minjos?

Chapter 1: Return of the King

Banjo, Kazooie, Mumbo Jumbo, and Bottles were playing cards at their house.

This time, they had decided to play blackjack.

Poker was fine at all, but there was more than one way to gamble.

They considered themselves lucky that it wasn't illegal to gamble in the Isle of Hags.

They sure didn't want the police busting down the door.

And besides, weren't they supposed to be the heroes?

"You're not going to cheat this time, are you Kazooie?" asked Banjo.

People wouldn't play with her if she did that.

After all, she was basically stealing money.

"Of course not." answered Kazooie.

Banjo wondered if she had her feathers crossed.

This time, Bottles was playing well.

"Alright! I got a twenty!" cheered Bottles.

It looked like he would be getting a lot of money this time…assuming that Kazooie didn't swipe any coins while he wasn't looking. He wondered if he should play with someone more trustworthy.

"It nice to try different games." noted Mumbo.

"It sure is." nodded Banjo.

Though he wondered if something would interrupt their fun this time.

Last time Gruntilda had escaped from her prison and had destroyed their house. And since Bottles had been inside, he had lost his life. Thankfully, they had managed to resurrect him, but they still had to repair their house by hand.

And to make matters worse Mumbo had lost his winnings from the poker game.

It was a shame. He figured that he might buy some new decorations for one of his huts.

But he already had plenty of huts. Why be blind to what he already had?

Suddenly, an alarm went off.

"What's going on?" asked Banjo.

They decided to look outside.

They discovered what appeared to be Jinjos outside their house.

"Oh look! Jinjos!" exclaimed Banjo.

"Why are they sounding an alarm if there are Jinjos outside?" asked Kazooie. Last time she checked, Jinjos were not dangerous. Unless you happened to be Gruntilda.

Suddenly, one of the Jinjos ran towards Banjo with his fist clinched.

"Wait, maybe they're Minjos!" shouted Banjo.

Indeed they were.

"I wonder why they look just like Jinjos." questioned Bottles.

It was a mystery.

"I dunno, but I think we should talk to King Jingaling." noted Banjo.

If there was anyone that would know what to do, it was him.

They decided to talk to him…while being careful about the Minjos.

Perhaps he was the one who set off the alarm.

"Do you know what's going on, your majesty? There are so many Minjos!" asked Banjo.

"Yes, I do. King Mingmong has set his sights on the Isle of Hags!" exclaimed King Jingaling.

"He has?" questioned Bottles.

"Yes! It seems he wants our Jiggies for himself." noted the king.

They did hold a lot of power, after all.

"Oh no!" shouted Mumbo.

Perhaps he wanted their notes as well.

"Who is King Mingmong, anyway?" asked Kazooie.

"You know those Minjos that you encountered throughout the Isle of Hags?" questioned King Jingaling.

"Well, we encountered some of them in Showdown Town, but yes." answered Banjo.

"He's their leader." explained the king of Jinjos.

"Huh. It seems appropriate that the Minjos also have a king." noted Kazooie.

"Is there any way to stop him?" asked Banjo.

"If you work together, you can reach his castle and stop him." said the king of Jinjos.

Suddenly, there was a burst of lightning.

"What was that?" asked Bottles.

Our heroes went outside and discovered a rather large blue Minjo dressed in royal garb.

It was similar to King Jingaling's outfit, but it was a completely different color. Black instead of white. And he had a green cape.

Also, his shoes were blue. And he had a silver crown.

"Is that King Mingmong?" questioned Banjo.

He looked rather menacing. Not like the peaceful King Jingaling. The Minjo king had red eyes.

"How'd you guess?" asked the king of Minjos.

"So, this is the guy that's been leading the Minjos all along." noted Kazooie.

"I sure have!" exclaimed King Mingmong.

"Let's kick his butt, Banjo!" shouted Kazooie.

She fired eggs at him, but he blocked it with his cape.

"You'll need to be way stronger if you want to stop me!" answered King Mingmong.

"I guess we'll need a lot of Jiggies if we want to stand a chance." noted Banjo.

"That's right." nodded the king.

However, his minions were currently gathering Jiggies as they spoke. And no, not all of them were Minjos. There was more variety than that.

"I would not recommend you stand in my way. Let me give you a taste of my power!" exclaimed King Mingmong.

He fired a blast of magic that hit Mumbo Jumbo dead on.

Mumbo was a goner.

"No! Mumbo Jumbo!" exclaimed Banjo.

"Now that you've seen my power, I shall be going now." spoke King Mingmong.

He teleported away.

"It was such a shame…he helped us out with his magic more than once." noted Kazooie.

"Why do I feel a sense of Deja vu?" asked Bottles.

"I think we should avenge him!" exclaimed Banjo.

"You did see how powerful he is, right?" questioned Kazooie.

"Exactly! That's why Jinjo Village needs our help!" answered the bear.

"Yeah, but how are we going to take him on?" asked the bird.

"You could try collecting Jiggies." noted Bottles. That was what the duo did when they went to fight Gruntilda.

"True." answered Kazooie. But unlike before, they did not know where their adversary was.

As it turned out, King Mingmong was at his castle.

It looked similar to King Jingaling's castle.

However, it was silver in color.

He decided to chat with his second-in-command, a frog known as Salazar Sournote.

"How's the invasion coming along?" asked Salazar.

"It's going fine." answered King Mingmong. "I sent a warning to those who would oppose me."

Though if anyone challenged him, he would be happy to fight them.

"Nobody can defeat you!" exclaimed Salazar.

"I am powerful, yes. Now it's time to pay a certain witch a visit." noted the king.

He could just sit on his throne all day and not do anything…but that sounded boring.

He planned on making a deal with her.

Currently, she had finished a day of work for LOG.

King Mingmong approached her.

"Who are you supposed to be? Do you have business with me?" asked Gruntilda.

"Still making rhymes, I see." noted Mingmong.

"Rhyming is one of my greatest skills. And yes, I do it for thrills." answered the witch.

"How would you like to make a deal? I can grant you the beauty you seek." spoke the king.

"That is an offer I shall accept. Perhaps I'm in your debt." noted Gruntilda.

King Mingmong gave her a contract to sign.

Gruntilda signed it.

She became young and beautiful.

And yes, she looked like she did in the game over sequence for Banjo Kazooie.

"Now I'm the prettiest lady in the land! I could go to Gobi's Valley, but it's full of sand!" exclaimed Gruntilda.

"Did you run out of rhymes?" asked King Mingmong.

"It can be hard to think of a rhyme, after all, I do it all the time!" answered the witch.

"Of course." noted the king.

Happy to be young and beautiful, Gruntilda prepared to summon her broom…

…but she could not summon it.

"Why can't I summon my broom? I need it so I can zoom!" exclaimed Gruntilda.

"Oh that. I'm afraid your beauty comes with a price." noted King Mingmong.

After all, did you get beauty products for free?

"What is this price you speak of? Heavens above!" shouted the witch.

"In exchange for beauty, you have given me your magic." explained the king.

"How dare you play a trick on Grunty! Nobody plays a trick on little old me!" bellowed Gruntilda.

"I actually didn't. It says clearly in the contract that you would give your magic to me in exchange for beauty. But you didn't read the contract, did you?" asked King Mingmong.

"I don't have time for reading a piece of paper! I'm going to have my revenge for this caper!" shouted the witch.

King Mingmong teleported away.

He could not believe how easy that was.

"I suppose I'm going to have to get help from my former apprentice. I didn't think I would have to resort to this!" exclaimed Gruntilda.

She could also ask Klungo, but he was busy making games.

Currently, Gruntilda's apprentice was currently dusting her house. The house in question happened to resemble a pumpkin. And yes, Banjo had once transformed into one.

Unlike Gruntilda, she looked rather human.

And she had a cutesy apprentice.

It seemed not all witches had green skin.

Additionally, she had long red hair.

She dressed in white and had a witch's hat.

Suddenly, she received a phone call.

"Who is it?" asked the young witch.

"It's from your former teacher! By the way, what do you think is my best feature?" exclaimed Gruntilda.

"I see you're still speaking in rhyme." noted the younger witch.

"My sisters thought it was a pain, but to me it was like a game." explained the witch.

"Well, I don't mind it. But I prefer not to speak in rhymes." answered the apprentice.

"To each their own, where were you when I was turning to bone?" asked Gruntilda.

"I thought you wanted nothing more to do with me." noted the witch's apprentice. Though to be honest, if she had known her mistress had been trapped under a boulder, she probably would have come to her aid.

"Well, I do now, Enchanta! Hmm, what should I choose to rhyme with that? Orange Fanta?" answered Grunty.

"Fine fine fine. What do you need help with?" asked the apprentice.

"I need your help getting my magic back! Without it, Banjo and Kazooie I cannot attack!" exclaimed Gruntilda.

"Those two have been causing you a lot of grief, haven't they?" asked Enchanta.

Personally she thought that Grunty would be better leaving them alone.

"They certainly have caused me grief, but for now I'll have to set aside my beef!" shouted Gruntilda.

"By the way, your voice sounds different." noted the witch's ex-apprentice.

"I was given the gift of beauty, I certainly am prettier than Tooty!" noted the witch with green skin.

"Where did you get that?" asked the witch with red hair.

"I got it from a fraud named King Mingmong, he stole my magic, the dingdong!" exclaimed Gruntilda.

"Sorry to hear that. Wait, who is Tooty?" asked Enchanta.

"Never mind what I said! You should visit Banjo and Kazooie instead!" exclaimed Gruntilda.

"Where do I find them?" questioned the witch.

"Do you have a cauldron? I'll leave the rest to you, have fun!" answered the sorceress that once kidnapped Tooty.

She hung up.

"Hmm…should I really be helping someone that threw me out for being cute?" asked Enchanta.

She always wondered why her mistress was so vain. She sure had petty reasons for throwing her out. Sure, she was cuter than her mistress was but Grunty was better at magic than she was too.

She knew that she didn't feel envious of Grunty as well.

But then again, she heard that Banjo and Kazooie had saved the Isle of Hags.

If they were keeping the isle safe, it would be in her best interest to help them.

So she decided she would use her cauldron to locate them.

Her cauldron was blue in color.

"Hey Pipkin, can you help me find Banjo and Kazooie?" asked Enchanta.

"Yes, I can. Do you want their autographs?" questioned Pipkin.

"Tempting, but no. You know my former mistress who threw me out for being cuter than her? She wants me to help Banjo and Kazooie." noted the apprentice.

"Aren't they her sworn enemies?" asked the cauldron.

"I know. It's very out of character for her." admitted Enchanta.

"Well, I can help you find them!" exclaimed Pipkin.

"That's fantastic." noted the former apprentice.

"They're in a village full of birds." spoke the cauldron.

"Are you always cryptic?" asked Enchanta.

"It depends on my mood." answered Pipkin.

"Well, it's alright. I think I've got it figured out. Jinjo Village, right?" questioned the witch.

"You're always good at figuring out my riddles." noted the cauldron.

"It's a talent of mine." admitted Enchanta.

She was off to see Banjo and Kazooie.

Fortunately, she had a broomstick, just as Grunty did.

Only she had come up with a name for hers.

She called hers Dusty.

"Let's go pay Banjo and Kazooie a visit." noted Enchanta.

Dusty nodded.

Together, the two set out to visit Banjo and Kazooie.

First Bottles and now Mumbo! Don't worry, he'll be back. Probably.

Luckily since there was someone to replace Bottles there is someone who can replace Mumbo Jumbo, most likely. Unless you count Humba Wumba.

I figured I could feature a few OCs. I figured that Gruntilda would probably have an apprentice of some kind.

Oddly enough there's a type of pot that sounds similar to pumpkin. I figured it would be perfect for Enchanta since she lives in a pumpkin house.
