Delta Emerald
Summary: We all know the story of May and Brendan. But what if that story followed two new characters? Velrose, the hot tempered, mouthy protagonist, and Zephyr, her sly, easy going, friendly travel companion with a dark past.
Chapter One: Runaway
My name is Velrose, not Vel, not Rose or Rosie, and definitely not Rosie-Posie. Just Velrose. I'm sixteen years old, and I have shaggy white hair that falls to my shoulder blades and bangs that almost cover my left eye. My eyes are crimson red, and my right eyebrow and left side of my bottom lip are pierced with double rings. My ears were pierced all the way up with small kunai blade charms dangling from the lobes. I was wearing a white top with a black Eevee graphic design on the front, black stylishly ripped skinny jeans with two white studded belts that crossed in front of me and behind me like an X, black combat boots with white buckles, and a long, white, hooded jacket, that fell to my calves in the back and was shorter and open in front, with long, loose sleeves and had a very large black graphic Eevee design that covered the whole thing.
I know. I look nothing like my parents, Norman and Caroline Maple. Well, that's because they adopted me when I was three.
I know I should be grateful, but I've held a grudge against them both ever since they told me when I was ten. Well, even longer actually for other reasons. Dad for being a Gym Leader and rarely ever being home, and mom for not really caring much for Pokémon unless they help her with chores. But most of all for not telling me the truth about my birthparents.
The only one I truly consider family is Purity, my Eevee, who is currently sitting on my lap. She is a shiny Pokémon, being silver and white instead of brown and white. On her left ear was a black bow with an Everstone set in the middle. When dad gave her to me, she made it known to me that she didn't want to evolve, and that she wanted to stay outside of her Pokéball with me. That was fine by me.
We currently sat in the dark, back of the moving truck with all the boxes, while my mom sat up front. After my dad finished with Whitney's training, she's the new leader of the Goldenrod Gym in Johto now, he had moved here a couple months ahead of us to set up his new Pokémon Gym.
But, seriously though, what kind of parent makes their kid sit in the back of a moving truck?!
I petted Purity's soft fur, trying not to be anxious. I won't ever admit that I'm afraid of small dark places, or the loud bang of thunder. Nope, not at all. I'm told it was from something traumatic before I was adopted. But I can't remember anything.
The truck suddenly came to an abrupt stop, nearly throwing us off the box we were sitting on. I grumbled, and a few moments later I was suddenly blinded by bright light as the door opened. Purity hopped up to my right shoulder and I quickly got out of the van. I squinted as I looked around, my eyes adjusting to the bright afternoon light. A plane or something was flying overhead of us. The sound of a door opening and closing drew my attention.
My mom walked up to me, all smiles and cheeriness. I tried VERY hard not to scowl…
"Velrose, we're home, sweetie!" She said, clapping her hands happily.
"Yaaaaay…" I sighed, unenthused. But mom ignored my attitude, as usual.
"It must have been tough riding in the back of the bumpy truck with our stuff…" Mom cooed, "Well, this is Littleroot Town of Hoenn. It's smaller than Goldenrod…but it's our new home! What do you think?"
"It's a lot smaller…" I mumbled dejectedly.
"Yes, but, honey, we have a house now, and looks like a nice place to live. Plus you get your very own roooooom!" Mom sang.
"My own room?" I perked up slightly. "No more sharing?"
"Yes, so let's go inside so you can look around." Mom nudged me, and I followed her inside.
…
The house was bigger than our apartment, that's for sure. A few Machoke were helping move our things around.
"Pokémon are so convenient!" Mom giggled.
The Machoke then passed by us to grab more boxes.
"Thanks for all the hard work, you two!" Mom called after them, "Oh, Velrose, your room is upstairs right in front of the stairs."
I nodded and rushed up the stairs.
"Dad bought you a new clock, so make sure you set the time!" Mom called after me.
…
I walked into my room and closed the door. I cringed at the big hot pink rug on the ground, and the baby pink clock, and the pink and yellow striped comforter, and the dark pink trash can, and the pastel pink TV stand. Arceus, there was just too much pink. But the rest of the room was alright, if not a bit bare. I didn't have much furniture or stuff of my own since we lived in a pretty small apartment. My Wii U was set up by my new TV, my new desk had some of my miscellaneous stuff, and it looked like dad had bought me a huge Lapras doll and a couple cute cushions.
I set the time on the clock and sat in front of my TV booting up my favorite game about a hero clad in green that turns into a wolf, as Purity explored the room, sniffing things occasionally.
After a few hours I had just beaten the game and was stretching my arms when Mom called us down for dinner.
…
"Here you go, honey. BLT with fries and avocado slices! One of your favorites!" Mom said, grinning, as she set my plate down in front of me and hers on the opposite side of the table.
"Thanks." I said and took a bite as she left and brought back a bowl of Pokéfood for Purity.
Purity let out a happy cry and jumped onto the table and began to dig in.
"Oh, your dad was on TV earlier!" Mom said sitting down.
I made a muffled noise as I bit into my sandwich, not really interested, and turned her out as she talked.
Eventually she got the hint, and we ate in silence. Purity had finished her food and wandered back upstairs. Soon we finished our own meals, and mom stood and started to reached to take our plates.
"Mom… I want to know who my birth parents are. I think I'm old enough now." I said suddenly.
Mom frowned straightening up, "No, honey. Not until you are an adult. You know your father and I agreed on this already. We've told you this."
"But why?!" I cried out, "Why when I'm an adult?! Are you afraid they'll want me back?! Is that it? Are they the reason we moved here?! So they wouldn't find me?!"
Mom flinched, and then her expression turned to anger.
"ENOUGH, Velrose!" She yelled, slamming her free hand on the table, rattling the plates. "We are NOT talking about this! Go to your room!"
My crimson eyes flashed in rage, and I let out a frustrated screech before shoving away from the table, knocking the chair over, and storming upstairs.
…
I angrily wiped my tears away and locked my bedroom door. Purity looked up from where she was laying on my bed in concern.
"Vee?"
I walked over to her and laid down on the bed, burying my face in her fur.
"Screw this! We're running away tonight Purity." I said, sounding muffled. "We're going to go on a journey. Maybe we'll even take the League Challenge here. That way we can get stronger, and face my dad in battle. We'll win his badge, and I'll make him tell me the truth! And if he doesn't, I'll keep getting stronger! I'll become the champion, his boss, and then he'll have to tell me!"
Purity nodded firmly, and I got up. I grabbed my large grey messenger bag and packed a few things. Potions, my favorite grey beanie, a spare set of clothes, two pairs of pajamas, a lightweight black robe, under clothes and socks, my black sunglasses, a bathing suit and sandals, my hygiene products that I hadn't bothered to put away yet, a compact sleeping bag and small pillow, my Pokénav Plus Pokéfood, and Purity's spare dish, and some Premiere Balls, my favorite Pokéball, that I had found lying around our old apartment just before we moved.
"We'll get a little sleep and leave around 4 AM." I whispered to Purity.
"Vee." Purity agreed.
There was then a knock on the door.
"Velrose, honey?" Mom said quietly.
Purity and I froze and stayed quiet. There was the sound of the doorknob jiggling slightly.
Mom sighed, "Must be asleep. I'll talk to her tomorrow then."
The sound of her footsteps fading brought a sigh of relief.
"Good thing I locked the door." I mumbled. "Alright let's get some sleep."
I set an alarm on my wrist watch and clasped it around my wrist. Then I took my jacket, belts, gloves, and boots off, and crawled into bed. Purity snuggled up to me and we fell asleep quickly.
…
Purity and I woke to the quiet beeping of my watch. I turned it off, got dressed, then slipped my bag around my shoulder, adjusting it to hang slightly behind me on my right side.
It was a little heavy, but nothing I couldn't manage.
Eevee hopped onto my shoulder, as I clipped her Premiere Ball to the bottom right side belt, and we quietly made our way downstairs.
I grabbed some non-perishable foods and filled my canister with water and packed them into my bag. Then I grabbed the notepad my mom kept in the kitchen drawer and scrawled out a note.
Mom and Dad,
I'm leaving on a journey. Don't worry about me. I have Purity with me. And don't try to look for me. I need to do this. I need to find myself.
Dad, at some point I'll come challenge you at the Gym, and I WILL win! And then you'll have to tell me the truth!
-Velrose and Purity
"Okay, let go." I murmured.
We slipped out of the house and headed out.
…
The way through Route 101, Oldale Town, and Route 102 went by fairly quickly. Only about an hour or so walk. I even caught two new Pokémon, though I didn't know what they were yet. I named them Duke and Queenie though.
Oh yeah, and there was a green haired guy around my age. I think his name was Wally or something. He had been out all night apparently, and begged me to help him catch a Pokémon. No seriously, he begged… So, I helped him…grudgingly. He eventually also caught a Pokémon that was the same as Queenie-which I learned was called a Ralts. He and I then walked to Petalburg City together, since we were going the same way, and then we split and went our own ways.
Eventually Purity and I stood in front of Dad's Gym. I clenched my fists.
"Someday I'll be back, and you better be ready for me." I said firmly.
Then with a swish of my coat, I turned and walked away. Unbeknownst to me, there was someone watching me.
…
The sun was just peaking up the horizon as I entered Petalburg Forest.
"We'll get through the forest and rest for a bit in Rustburo City. Then we'll head for the next Route and train there for a bit before taking on the gym leader." I said to Purity.
…
Navigating the forest paths wasn't too hard. There were lots of Pokémon and Trainers to battle and unleash my anger out on. But about forty-five minutes in I stumbled across a man wearing a white coat and glasses, who seemed to be looking for something.
"Where could one be?" I heard him mumble.
He looked around some more and then spotted me.
His face brightened with a friendly smile, "Oh, hello there! Would you tell me if you've come across any Shroomish around here. I really love that Pokémon."
"No, sorry, I haven't seen one." I replied curtly. "I don't even know what one looks like."
"Oh, well it looks-"
"Hey you!" A loud voice suddenly yelled making me start in alarm. A man dressed in blue and white with a black headband and gloves angrily marched up to us. "I was waiting, and waiting, to ambush you, but you had to take your sweet time in these damn woods! Well, I got sick of waiting! Now give me those papers, you idiotic Devon Researcher!"
He stomped forward, and the Devon Researcher let out a yelp and scurried behind me.
"I don't have any Pokémon! Please save me!" He begged.
"I'm sooo sick of this already…" I groaned rubbing my head.
"Oh, you gonna protect him, little girl?" He sneered.
"First of all, I'm NOT a little girl! Second of all, you aren't giving me a choice!" I snapped, "Who the hell picks on someone weaker than them? Coward! You're not much of a man, are you?"
"Why you…! How dare…! Arghhh! No one messes with Team Aqua! I'm Diego, and you're not getting any mercy from me!" He bellowed. "Go Poochyena!"
"Bring it on, ya damn bully!" I smirked, throwing my arm forward for Purity to leap into the fray.
"Poochyena use Bite!" Diego yelled.
"Purity, dodge it and use Swift!" I countered.
Purity leapt to the side and sent out the shower of stars that hit its mark.
"Grrr! Use Shadow Ball!"
"You too Purity! Cancel it out and follow up with Tackle!"
The two colliding Shadow Balls caused a small explosion, letting Purity take advantage of the smoke. She ran through the smoke and debris, slamming into Poochyena, knocking it into a tree. It weakly stood up, shaking its head.
"Iron Tail!" I yelled taking advantage of its weakness.
"Vee!" Purity grunted, slamming its hardened metal tail onto Poochyena's head.
It cried out and fainted.
"What the hell? How are you so strong?!" Diego whined, returning his Pokémon.
He grudgingly threw my winning money at me.
"You've got some nerve getting in Team Aqua's way!" He raged, "Battle me again!"
"Your Poochyena is down for the count, and I don't see any more Pokéballs on your belt." I pointed out flatly.
"Whatever! We're also after something in Rustboro, so I'll let you go this time!" He cackled and ran away.
The Devon Researcher behind me sighed.
"That was too close…" He mumbled and straightened himself out. "My name is Henry. Thanks to you, I wasn't robbed of some important documents. Let me give you this in exchange."
Henry handed me a Great Ball.
"That Ball is stronger than the usual Pokéball." He said and then looked thoughtful, "Um, didn't that thug say that Team was after something in Rustboro…? Oh! Oh no! This is critical, I must be going! Goodbye!"
He quickly ran off, and I sighed, putting the Great Ball in my bag.
"…What do I keep getting myself into…?" I mumbled, shaking my head.
I suddenly felt eyes staring at me. I looked around me for a good moment. I hmphed and continued on. After about another thirty minutes I reached the end of Petalburg Forest.
…
"This is the Petalburg recon team checking in." A teenaged girl with black hair in a Team Aqua uniform murmured into her headset as she watched the ruby eyed, snowy haired teenage girl leave the forest, followed shortly by another teenager. "Sorry to tell you this, Mr. Matt. But it's not good news… The mission is a bust. A little problem appeared, and got in the way."
She quieted, listening to the voice on the other side of the headset.
"…Understood, sir. Will do. I'll continue to monitor the energy we detected."
She tapped the button on the headset, and sighed.
"So my twin sister has some promise as a trainer." She tilted her head, amusement in her own ruby eyes.
…
Not too far away I came across a little flower shop. A bell chimed above me as I opened the door.
"Welcome to the Pretty Petal! We're dedicated to spreading flowers all over the world!" A young woman with long brown hair, wearing a long green dress and a white apron greeted me. "My name is Arissa. My younger sisters over there are Elleece, Raunya, and Lisette. Might I ask what your name is?"
"I'm Velrose, and this is Purity." I answered, pettig Purity who was perched on my shoulder.
"What lovely names you both have." Arissa smiled, "Would you like to learn about berries?"
"Berries? You mean like these?" I asked, showing her the pouch filled with berries I had picked here and there.
"Yes. Berries grow on trees all around Hoenn and even some other Regions in the world. They only thrive in soft, loamy soil. Each berry has special effects on Pokémon and are even safe for human consumption." Arissa explained and began to tell me about all the effects of Berries on Pokémon.
"Wow, that's awesome. Back in Johto we only had Apricorns that are used to make Pokéballs." I said thoughtfully. "I had a Moon Ball made, but I used it as a decoration."
Arissa smiled and clapped her hand joyfully.
"Plants are amazing aren't they?" She gushed, "I want to see the whole world filled with beautiful flowers and plants. That's my dream."
"That's a nice dream." I said honestly.
"Why don't you help me, Velrose? If you plant berries and bring more flowers into the world, that would be so great!"
"Oh… Um…? I don't know if I'll have time…you know…being a trainer and all…" I mumbled.
Arissa smiled gently, "Why don't you take this just in case." She said handing me a small watering pail in the shape of an unfamiliar Pokémon.
"Thank you." I said and put it in my bag.
"And feel free to pick some of the Berries outside of the shop." Alyssa offered and then left to arrange some flowers.
I left the store and picked some of the berries, feeding a few to Purity, before heading on my way, glancing at a striking guy around my age, maybe two years my senior, who was leaning against the shop watching me. There was something about his watchful gaze nearly made me pause. He grinned and waved at me. I scowled, turning my head sharply, and just walked away.
…
I was crossing a bridge when a commotion caught my attention. A pair of twin young girls were picking and beating on a poor bird Pokémon.
I ran up to them and shouted angrily, "What the hell do you think you're doing to that Pokémon?!"
The twins jumped, looking at me like a Deerling in headlights.
"We were just playing with this weak Pokémon." Twin One cackled.
"Yeah, it's so weak we just had to mess with it." Twin Two sneered.
"Oh, yeah? Why don't we play too then." I snarled sending out Empress. "Empress teach them a lesson bullies deserve!"
"Ral…" She murmured, her eye glowing blue.
The blue surrounded the girls, and they were lifted into the air and sent flying into the water across the lake. I watched as they shrieked and cried, swimming to the shore and running away.
"Stupid brats…" I muttered, returning Empress, and then looked at the poor Pokémon. "Damn they did a number on you…uh… Huh. I don't know what kind of Pokémon you are." I knelt down, Purity jumping off my shoulder onto the bridge. She sniffed the Pokémon. "You look similar to a Pidgey, just more colorful."
Purity growled, as footsteps approached.
"That's a Taillow." A guy about two years my senior said, walking up behind me. "You must not be from this Region if you don't know that."
I narrowed my eyes and sized him up. It was the hot guy from earlier. He wore a skintight black long sleeved shirt, under a dark teal hoodie that had a large white graphic Mightyena and white splatters design, black jeans that were faded around the knees, and black and teal tennis shoes. Both his ears were pierced with three small silver hoops. What looked like a silver chain was tucked under his hoodie. He also had a black and white Mightyena themed backpack. He had sharp golden eyes, and deep garnet red, shoulder blade length hair tied into a low ponytail, with bangs that flopped diagonally across his forehead and covered part of his left eye.
"No, I'm not." I spoke stiffly, and returned Empress.
He made me nervous for some reason. There was something about his eyes…that reminded me of my own. He hid it very well, but I could still see the anger he held.
He frowned, "Poor little guy must have gotten into a territory battle. Taillows are known for that."
"You think you know a lot, don't'cha?" I muttered, turning back to the Taillow. I pulled out a Potion and sprayed it onto the Pokémon. It let out a soft cry, but otherwise didn't move. I picked it up with a sigh, "It would be nice to have a PokéDex for this region…"
"There's a Pokédex app for Hoenn." He said, pulling his PokéNav Plus out of his backpack.
Purity jumped back onto my shoulder and I stood up to face the guy.
"I don't have that one." I said curtly.
"Oh? Here, give me your Nav. I'll transfer a copy from mine."
I looked at him skeptically.
"Uh, just like that? What's the catch?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.
"There isn't one, honest. I've been all around Hoenn and already know all the Pokémon here, but you don't. You'll need it more than I will." He said, "Plus I've seen you do two amazing feats today. That impressed me."
I handed him my PokéNav, but then started in surprise.
"What?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.
"Yeah, I watched you save a Taillow, and thrash that Team Aqua Grunt to save that guy." He said, messing with our PokéNavs.
"You were the one I felt watching me like a creep?" I crossed my arms angrily.
"Only to swoop in and save you all if necessary." He shrugged with an easy-going smile.
He held out my PokéNav and I snatched it from him being careful of the injured Taillow.
"I don't need saving!" I snapped and began to walk away.
But then I heard his footsteps following me. I clenched my fists and ignored him, hoping he was just going to Rustburo and going to be on his own way.
…
Unfortunately, he just kept following me. Purity and I took abrupt turns and ducked in and out of shops. But we just couldn't lose him.
Finally, I whirled around and snapped, "Why are you following me?!"
"I have my reasons, but don't worry, I'm not going to do anything weird to you." He said, with an innocent smile.
I didn't buy it for a second.
"I'm going to scream, as loud as I can, which will draw attention to you." I deadpanned and sucked in a breath.
"No, wait, please don't!" He said with a worried look as he took a half step closer to me, "Alright, I'll tell you why!"
I glared at him and tapped my foot.
"Look, let's go to the Pokémon Center and get that Taillow looked at." He said, "You'll feel better talking in a place with more people around, right?"
"Fine, lead the way." I gestured a direction with my head.
…
We got to the Pokémon Center and I handed over the Taillow to Nurse Joy, surprised to see her in this region, and explained the situation. Then we grabbed some food from the lunch bar and sat down to eat and talk.
"Okay. Talk." I said, taking a bite of my bacon club sandwich.
"Knowing that you're not from here, I assume you don't know much about Team Aqua and Magma, do you?" He asked.
"No, this is literally my second day in Hoenn." I said curtly. "I don't know much about them, this place, or its Pokémon."
"I was afraid you'd say that." He sighed running his hand through his bangs.
"So, what?" I huffed, "And you still haven't answered my question."
"I'm getting to that." He said, frowning, "Alright. I'll just be blunt. You have a bright red target painted on your back now."
I narrowed my eyes, "What do you mean?" I asked slowly.
He snagged a few of my chips and ate them before answering. You can imagine the scowl on my face.
"Because you messed up one of Team Aqua's plans." He said, "They don't take too kindly to things like that… Neither will Team Magma if you mess with them."
"How do you know that?" I questioned, feeling my heart sink.
The guy looked away, his face dark, and crossed his arms. The anger I saw in his eyes earlier morphed into hatred. My heart sank even more, and I thought about running. But I had to know, especially if he was telling the truth.
"My mother was a former Team Aqua Admin, and my Father a former Team Magma Admin." He said lifting the necklace out from under his shirt.
It was an oval shaped locket. He opened it and showed it to me. On the left side was a woman with long ruby red hair and purple eyes holding a baby with a tuff of darker red hair and bright gold eyes eyes, and on the right a man with navy blue hair and golden eyes holding the same child.
"My mother, Lilah, and my father, Astor, fought against each other a lot, and learned about each other during their battles. Eventually they fell in love, and ran away from their respective teams so they could be together. They were able to get married, and have me, and everything was peaceful for us." He continued, "But Team Aqua and Magma weren't so forgiving to anyone who betrayed them. I don't know exactly how it happened but one night somehow both Teams attacked our house at the same time, setting it ablaze and destroying jt… My parents didn't make it out. Luckily, I wasn't home that night. I was sleeping over at a schoolmate's house. After that everything was a blur and I ended up at an orphanage because I have no other family. I ended up running away from there when I was sixteen. I managed to keep from going back by traveling around and never staying at one place for too long. But I'm eighteen now, so I'm not worried. I've made it my mission to try to prevent anymore disasters caused by those two Teams. And because you're involved now, I've decided to watch your back, whether you like it or not."
I crumpled up my wrappers, and stayed quiet, weighing my options. If what he said was true, I was at a severe disadvantage. I knew next to nothing about Hoenn, or these Teams. It was peaceful, for the most part, in Johto. Aside from when Team Rocket announced their come back, which caused Mom and Dad to uproot me and move to another country. And there were foreign Pokémon I wasn't familiar with. And don't get me started on navigation. Sure I studied the map on my PokéNav Plus a bit, but that was different from actually traveling the terrains. And if those Teams were truly THAT evil, there was no way I could protect myself and my Pokémon all alone. I knew what would boost my odds, even if I didn't like it.
"I don't even know your name…" I said with a sigh.
The guy grinned, all easy going again.
"My name is Zephyr. Zephyr Millennium." He said, "I'll introduce my Pokémon in a bit."
"Right." I muttered, "I'm Velrose. Just...Velrose. For now. And you better not piss me off or I'll beat you up, with or without my Pokémon."
"That doesn't sound hard to do, Rosie." He teased.
My face turned bright red with anger.
"Don't call me THAT!" I yelled, taking a swing at him.
He caught my fist though, looking impressed.
"Wow, you're pretty strong!" He grinned.
I let out an outraged screech and tore my hand out of his, getting up and storming out of the Pokémon Center. Zephyr followed, grinning the whole time.
…
After some training to blow off some steam, we headed back to the Center. Zephyr and I handed our Pokémon to Nurse Joy and again sat down at a table.
"So, what's the plan? Are you going to take on the Gyms here? Or just traveling around Hoenn?" Zephyr asked, having grabbed a coffee and sipping on it.
"I'm going to challenge the Gyms and eventually the Pokémon League." I said, sipping on my own Pecha Berry juice. "I have to…to prove myself."
"Prove yourself?" Zephyr asked, as they sat down in a corner booth, away from other Trainers. "What do you mean?"
My face darkened, and I quickly brought my cup to my mouth, stalling.
"I told you my sob story, so come on, out with it, Rosie." Zephyr pouted.
I swallowed and growled, "Don't call me Rosie." I ran a hand through my bangs and sighed, looking around to make sure no one would hear. "You have to promise you won't tell anyone."
"I won't." He nodded.
I narrowed my eyes, "I really, really mean it. I need to do this, and I can't have the police drag me home and my parents," I spat the word, "Never let me out again."
"Hm… Are you," Zephyr looked around and lowered his voice. "a runaway?"
I pursed my lips and looked away, nodding.
"Velrose, I swear on my life that I won't tell anyone." Zephyr said seriously, "I was also a runaway, remember? There's a kinda honor with that."
Velrose furrowed her eyebrows, "There's more to it than that though." I drank the last of my juice. "I was five when I was left at the door of the Goldenrod Gym in Johto during the night. The Gym Leader at the time, Norman, and his wife Caroline took me in and adopted me. Then just after I turned 16 they uprooted me from Goldenrod and my friends and moved us here when Team Rocket took over the Radio tower. My dad became Petalburg's Gym Leader and bought a house in Little Root Town. But when I was left at the Gym, supposedly there was a note tied to my wrist with an explanation. But they refuse to tell me anything. About the note, about my birth parents, about nothing… They only mentioned I have a twin sister who was sent here to Hoenn. But I want to know everything, and I'm not willing to wait two more years when I turn eighteen. So last night I packed a bag and Purity and I left. I vowed to become Hoenn's Champion, basically my dad's boss, so he has to listen to me."
"That sounds intense. I can't wait to see you accomplished that." Zephyr said sincerely.
I was mortified when I felt myself blush and hastily looked away. Thankfully Nurse Joy came over to our table with our Pokémon.
"Everyone's all good to go!" She said as Purity hoped onto my shoulder, "And that Taillow you brought it is doing better too. I'll release is back into the wild once it is completely healed.
Zephyr and I gave her our thanks, grabbed our Pokéballs and she let us be.
"I think now is a good time to introduce our teams, don't you think?" Zephyr grinned.
