Twenty days had passed since Naruto last spoke with the Third Hokage. The anticipation in the

air was palpable as the final round of the Chunin Exams had arrived. Naruto stood at the edge

of the arena, his hands trembling and his brow slick with sweat. The arena's atmosphere felt

charged, a stark contrast to the cold dread settling in his gut. This was it—the moment that

could define his future as a Chunin. But the stakes were higher than his promotion; the village's

safety hung in the balance, and he could do nothing but watch.

(Flashback)

"So Naruto, what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?" Hiruzen Sarutobi asked, his voice

weary as he observed the young ninja before him. Naruto's intense gaze reminded Hiruzen of

Minato—the same resolve, the same determination, but a shadow of fear and uncertainty now

clouded his eyes.

"What is about to happen to the village?" Naruto's question cut through the air like a blade, his

voice cold and resolute.

Hiruzen sighed deeply, knowing that evasion would not suffice. "The village is in grave danger,

Naruto," he began. "The Hidden Cloud and Sand villages are planning to attack us with the help

of Orochimaru and Danzo."

Naruto's eyes widened in shock, but Hiruzen raised a hand to stop him. "Before you ask why I

let Danzo walk free," Hiruzen continued, "it is because he can make the decisions my heart

cannot. If not for him, this village might have already fallen."

Hiruzen's face, usually so composed, showed signs of the burden he carried. The wrinkles on

his face seemed deeper, the white in his beard more pronounced. His eyes, once sharp and full

of life, were now heavy with exhaustion.

Naruto saw the depth of Hiruzen's weariness. The old man was tired, longing for rest he would

never get, bound by the responsibilities he had to shoulder. His wife's memory was a lingering

shadow, his son's disdain a wound too deep to heal, and his trusted friends scattered or lost.

The village was his only solace, but even that was under threat.

"What do you want me to do, Jiji?" Naruto's voice was softer now, filled with concern.

Hiruzen's gaze met Naruto's, and for a moment, the weight of the Hokage's burdens seemed to

lift. "I want you to do nothing, Naruto," he said gently.

Naruto's eyes held a mixture of confusion and resolve as he absorbed Hiruzen's words.

(End Of Flashback)

The clang of the proctor's voice snapped Naruto back to the present. "Naruto Uzumaki of the

Leaf vs. Yugi of the Rain!"Naruto's heart pounded in his chest as he stepped into the arena. Yugi, his opponent, glared at

him with a fierce intensity. He recognized her as the Genin from the team whose comrade he

had killed in an earlier round. The weight of his actions hung heavily over him, but he had no

choice but to face this challenge head-on.

As the match began, Yugi charged at Naruto with a vengeance. "You bastard! You killed him!!"

Her anger fueled her assault, and her punches came fast and furious. Naruto evaded each

strike with agile precision, but he could feel the sting of fatigue setting in.

Yugi stepped back and began forming hand signs. "Water Style: Water Needle Jutsu!" Water

gathered from the lake nearby, forming sharp needles aimed directly at Naruto.

Naruto quickly responded with his own technique. "Water Style: Water Dome!" A protective

barrier of water surrounded him, blocking most of the needles. Some still penetrated, but the

majority were deflected.

The dome dissolved, and Naruto charged forward. The two engaged in a fierce taijutsu battle,

their strikes and counters a blur of motion. Naruto landed a punch, but Yugi retaliated with a

sweep, knocking him against the wall. The impact left him winded and disoriented, his body

aching from the exertion.

Desperation fueled Naruto's resolve. "Pant, pant... I need to do something," he muttered,

summoning three Shadow Clones. They sprang into action as Naruto closed in on Yugi. He

landed a blow that made her cough up saliva, but she managed to swap places with a log

before he could follow up.

Yugi began forming hand signs again, but before she could complete her Jutsu, small fireballs

flew towards her. She dodged, but out of the corner of her eye, she saw a massive water dragon

approaching. The combination of attacks overwhelmed her, sending her crashing into the

dragon's watery form.

"Boom!!" The explosion rocked the arena, sending plumes of smoke into the air. The crowd

watched in anticipation as the dust settled. Yugi was nowhere to be seen.

Naruto's relief was short-lived. "Explosion Style: Grand Explosion!" The arena erupted in a

series of blasts, leaving Naruto with nowhere to hide. He formed another Water Dome to shield

himself from the onslaught. The dome held, but the constant barrage of explosions caused the

water to evaporate in places, putting a strain on his chakra.

After several grueling minutes, the explosions ceased. Naruto dropped his dome, surveying the

damage. Yugi stood on the far side of the field, untouched and resolute. With his remaining

chakra, Naruto summoned Asu, his monkey companion.

Asu, a monkey with a black fur coat and a Leaf headband, approached Naruto with a

determined look. "What do you need, Naruto?"Naruto gestured toward the battlefield. "I need your help with that."

Asu's eyes narrowed as he took in the scene. Without hesitation, he darted toward Yugi with

incredible speed. She barely had time to react before Asu struck her with a powerful punch,

followed by a brutal slam that sent her crashing into the ground. Yugi, overwhelmed by the

monkey's might, conceded defeat.

The crowd erupted in cheers and applause as the match concluded. The proctor announced the

results, "Naruto Uzumaki wins!"

Exhausted but victorious, Naruto allowed himself a brief moment of relief. The next match was

announced, "Sasuke Uchiha vs. ???" and Naruto watched, his mind still burdened by the weight

of what lay ahead.

As the crowd's cheers filled the arena, Naruto couldn't shake the feeling that the real battle was

still to come.
