Chapter Two: Two Kings and a Queen
(June, 1558)
"Is everyone in position?" Danny asked through his communicator as he stood in the forest.
He could hear the convoy approaching.
"We are ready my king." Iok said.
Iok had served two decades as a guard protecting the Dinain farming convoys as they traded with other worlds.
Good. He walked to the road and stood there waiting for the incoming royals.
"Get out of the way!" A guard in front shouted at him from on a horse.
There were nine others with him on horses surrounding the carriage carrying the Queen and Prince/King-Consort. Their swords were sheathed at their sides but probably very sharp.
The moment the guards stopped to get a better look at him was the moment that each one of them was shot down. The staff weapons were at a setting where the blast would render them unconscious.
He used his powers of telekinesis to make sure that they landed safely. Falling off a horse at a bad angle while unconscious could maim them for life or kill them at worst. There was no need to kill them yet. They could help him get into the castle.
"Great work men." Danny said looking to the trees surrounding the path.
Ten Jaffa came out of the forest in their armor.
"Place stasis chips on them. We don't need any resistance from them." Danny said walking up to the carriage. "I am going to and say hello to my new friends."
He could hear the whispers of Mary and Francis as they realized their carriage stopped.
Mary wondered what was happening. Francis was reassuring Mary that everything would be alright.
It would be if they just agreed to what he wanted. He opened the carriage door catching the two of them off guard.
"I am sorry to tell the two of you, but your honeymoon has just hit a rocky road." Danny said with a smile.
Prince/King Francis charged at him having no weapons available and no plan or desire besides protecting his wife.
He would admit that it was brave. Stupid, reckless, and guaranteed to end in failure but it was brave. Against anyone else he may have had the element of surprise but on him it was useless.
Danny began to vibrate his molecules. His body began to blur as they achieved the same rate of movement as air.
To anyone watching it must have looked as if Prince/King Francis passed right through him.
Prince/King Francis groaned in pain as he painfully collided with the ground.
"Ow." Prince/King Francis as he started to rise.
He would check later to make sure that the prince/king had not broken anything.
"What do you want?" Queen Mary asked cautiously.
"I just want to talk." Danny said with a smile. "I promise that I will not hurt you."
"What about my husband?" Queen Mary asked looking at her husband.
"I promise not to hurt him either." Danny said looking at the Prince/King. "You are going to have to get him to stay calm though. He is the biggest threat to himself right now."
Prince/King Francis is the type to fight for what he believed was right even if the odds were against him. He knew that if he saw the slightest chance to escape with Queen Mary, the prince/king would take it.
"You should come with me." Danny said. "My warriors have you and your husband surrounded. Your guards have been taken care of and will be of no help to you."
"You killed them?" Mary asked horrified.
"No but they will be asleep until I need them awake. So please come with me." Danny said as he held his hand out for her to take.
Queen Mary was feeling wary, but she took a deep breath and allowed him to bring her out of the carriage.
"Francis!" Queen Mary shouted once she saw his Jaffa bind Francis's hands and placed him on a hoverboard.
"Do not worry. I promised no harm will come to either of you." Danny said and he could hear the Tel'Tak coming to take them back to the camp near Le povot.
The guards would be kept as additional hostages. The carriage and horses would be kept in the forest until they were needed. He had two Jaffa watching the roads and making sure that no one came upon them.
They would need time to learn it was best to work with him.

"It is such a beautiful night." Danny said looking at the stars in the night sky.
The original had loved to stare at the night sky and that was something that carried over to him. No matter the planet or ship that he was on he loved just staring at the stars.
"Kind of hard to see that when we are your prisoners." Prince/King Francis said looking at the flames of the campfire.
Durin their short journey Danny had checked on the prince/king earlier to make sure the fall was not serious and saw that he had sprained his leg from the fall.
As a gesture Danny decided to fix it before they let Prince/King Francis free from the board.
"I prefer to think of this as a face-to-face discussion." Danny said. "I already promised your wife that I would not harm either of you and I want her to trust me."
"What do you want?" Queen Mary asked.
"I have lots of wants and desire Queen Mary. I want wealth, I want adventure, I want love, I want to find what has yet to be discovered, I want to learn what has been forgotten, but right now I just want to have a discussion with the two of you." Danny said.
"My father will not pay to kidnappers. He will send his soldiers to find out what has happened to us." Prince/King Francis said.
"You are Queen Catherine's favorite child and King Henry's heir. I am more than sure they are willing to talk to get you back." Danny said.
He had many demands for the royal house of Valois. Demands that he knew that they would probably try and fight him on because they would see them as outrageous. It was why he had taken Queen Mary and Prince/King Francis hostage.
"I will get what I want in the end. It only mattered how many I have to capture to get it."
King Henry wanted his children to rule after him. It would be rather hard to do that when they were in his power.
"Where are you from?" Queen Mary asked.
"Your hair and accent are very strange." Prince/King Francis said.
It is no surprise that Queen Mary and Prince/King Francis found him odd. His body may have looked similar to a twenty-year-old man, but his white hair made him seem so much older. The mutation that this body went through when he had been sent to the ghost zone had turned what was originally red hair pure white. It was no longer spiky either but in long thin strands that reached down to his back.
His eyes had turned green that glowed when he drew power from the ghost zone.
He had been sent there because of the war with the Wraith. While all of his other people were either fleeing Atlantis, dying, or ascending he had been asleep changing and growing.
"My accent is due to the language I learned as a child." Danny said.
"I have not seen people like your men before either." Prince/King Francis said. "Their eyes are bizarre."
"I am from a land very far away. It is beyond these shores. It has large mountains and countless wild plains. It is not on any map that you would have seen." Danny said. "It is the homeland of my army."
"Army? I have seen fewer than thirty men." Prince/King Francis said. "My father can call upon over hundred time this many men. I warn you now if you continue with this path the only end available to you is at the end of a rope. That is after my mother tortures you."
"I appreciate the concern, but I have more than enough men to fight with if your father decides to go that way." Danny said.
It would be easy to wipe them out from above with the Ha'Tak. It had many cannons on board just ready to be fired at a large group marching against him. They would never see it coming. One moment they were marching with the intent for battle and the next they would be caught in a barrage of explosions so hot that just being around them could turn them to ash.
"Here my king." Ras'mus said handing him a plate.
Raios handed Queen Mary and Prince/King Francis theirs.
"What is this?" Prince/King Francis asked looking at the chicken in front of him.
Danny was so tempted to ask if she never had chicken before but decided to answer her seriously.
The Jaffa had gone hunting for chicken while they captured the carriage and cooked it while he and the others were coming back.
"It is a spice I brought from my homeland. It is quite good." Danny said ripping off a piece and taking a bite.
Penla is similar in shape to a jalapeno. It gave off a blue sparkle like a sapphire.
"You cannot believe we would trust the food given by our kidnapper?" Prince/King Francis asked holding his plate in his lap.
He was really being ungrateful to him after he went to the trouble of healing his arm.
"I want the two of you alive. Poisoning the two of you would only make my plans harder." Danny said.
"What plans?" Queen Mary asked.
"We can go into the details later. Anyway, Queen Mary I have a question for you." Danny said ripping another piece of the cooked chicken on his plate. "Have you heard of the rumors that are spreading about you?"
"What rumors?" Queen Mary asked.
"That you are a religious zealot." Danny said. "That your time in the nunnery has driven you crazy. That you have such an ego that you had all your ladies-in-waiting ordered to be called Mary. "
"That's ridiculous." Queen Mary said.
"I know that. You know that but the people of Scotland are listening, and they are believing it." Danny said.
"Who is behind these rumors?" Mary asked.
"People that don't believe that you are fit to rule them." Danny said. "I disagree with them, and I want to make a deal with you."
"What kind of deal?" Queen Mary asked.
"I want to help get rid of Queen Elizabeth of England for you." Danny said taking a sip of water from his canteen.
He could feel the temptation that Queen Mary is trying to hide.
From Vlad's memories of the show Queen Mary had spent years hiding in a convent in France to prevent being assassinated by the English for her claim to the throne. She is descended from Margaret Tudor. The daughter of Henry VII and Elizabeth of York but due to the will of Henry VIII excluding the Stuarts from taking the throne it had passed to Henry's daughter Elizabeth.
The two queens would spend the rest of their lives fighting for the land of England. In his original world and the show, it had led to Queen Mary's death.
Things did not have to end the same here.
"You do not have the men to promise such a thing." Queen Mary said.
"I have many men under me. I could go and capture her right now." Danny said.
He knew that she wanted to end the long war between the Scottish and the English. They were constantly waiting and watching along the border waiting for the moment to attack. There had already been a few assassinations attempts on Queen Mary from Queen Elizabeth and her supporters. They were willing to poison an entire convent to try and get her.
"What would you get out of this?" Prince/King Francis asked causing Queen Mary to look back at him.
"Francis." Queen Mary said.
"Mary, I know that it may seem great, but this is too big a gift. Something like this will cost a lot later on and it may not be something that you would want to pay." Prince/King Francis said.
"He is not wrong Queen Mary. The payment for my help will be massive." Danny said as he stared at the two.
"You married Francis to help protect your people. You are a kind queen, but you do not have a bright future ahead of you. If you take this deal, I will make sure that you never have to fear England's wrath again." Danny said causing the fire in front of them to burn colder and turn blue.
The two of them jumped back in fright and tried to move as far away from it as they could.
"I can accomplish what I promised you Mary." Danny said as he stood, raised and parted the fire, and allowed his hand to stretch out and reach towards them. "Do not doubt that. All that remains is for you to shake my hand."
"Mary, do not do this. You can clearly see that this man is not normal. I do not know what hell this man walked out of but if you do this it can only end badly." Prince/King Francis said.
It was not like he was wrong.
If Queen Mary knew what he was planning than she probably would not help him. Her personality on the show was one of strong morals and deep faith. She would not agree with what he had would want.
"Can I think on it?" Queen Mary asked.
"Sure. Spend the night thinking it over. Just remember all the problems your family is having in Scotland." Danny said. "I should tell you that I have heard there have been talks of uprisings against your mother and brother."
"What?" Queen Mary asked shocked.
Mary had been getting letters from her family but not even they knew of the true dissent raising up in their countrymen. Catholics and Protestants ready to start war with each other. People wanting to be ruled by a Scottish monarch in Scotland and not from the distant kingdom of France.
"The tension is building up and eventually something is going to give. Like a battering ram smashing a castle gate. It is more than likely going to lead to a civil war where countless of your countrymen will die." Danny said and he could see that Queen Mary was growing more worried with each second. "Scottish blood will flow in a river of resentment and hatred."
"Your threats do not scare us." Prince/King Francis said.
"My men will lead you to your tent think on what I have told you. Do not try to run." Danny said waving his hand and causing the blue fire to turn into an ice statue of a crown.
Danny picked it up before their eyes and tossed it to Mary.
"Remember I can help you get the throne of England Queen Mary." Danny said walking off into his own tent to sleep with a smile on his face.
He wondered what her answer would be tomorrow. He frowned when he noticed a presence around him but saw no one in the tent.
"You really should quit spying on me." Danny said to the space around his room.
The ascended liked to spy on him from time to time. Not to offer him ascendance but to try and lecture him over what he was doing and why he should stop.
"I told the lot of you I have no intent to ascend so leave me alone." The presence remained for a bit before leaving for elsewhere. 'Now I can finally get some rest.'

"So how are you two feeling?" Danny asked tossing cards into the hat.
The cards were based on people from the show. The kings were her brother James, Henry, Francis, and Sebastian. The Queens were Catherine, Elizabeth, Mary, and Leeza. Mary being the queen of hearts and Elizabeth being the queen of diamonds. He found it funny.
Hopefully a good night of sleep has made them feel better about their future.
"Are you seriously asking that?" Prince/King Francis asked with an aggressive tone. "Do you think we could sleep peacefully surrounded by kidnappers?"
The Jaffa looked to be without weapons but in truth that was only in appearance. If they wanted to the weapon would appear on command. The staff weapons were tied to the suits by a pocket dimension. So, when the armor is activated, the connected weapon could appear to the Jaffa's hand when called and disappear just as fast.
Just another way to have the Jaffa accept that they had "divine" knowledge.
Nirrti had been worried over the design and the fact that they could summon weapons whenever they wanted and so he installed a kill code into the suit that would fry it and the traitorous Jaffa if needed.
"If you only see the negative in life you will not live a happy life." Danny said then turned to face the King and Queen. "So have you come to a decision Queen Mary?"
The two of them looked like they barely got any sleep. Their hair was messy, and their clothes was rumpled as if they had slept on the ground. He knew that was not true as he had made sure that they were given a bed and pillows with countless letan feathers.
It was like sleeping on a cloud.
"I have decided to not take your deal." Queen Mary said.
That caused his smile to drop and him to look at her curiously. "Really?"
"You may truly be able to help me, but the cost would probably be more than the worth of your help." Queen Mary said.
"Oh well. That is just too bad." Danny said with a frown. "Do it Raios."
He watched as Prince/King Francis got hit with the same energy blast that had taken out his guards.
"Francis!" Mary cried out and ran to reach her husband as he fell to the ground.
Gar'da and Iok stopped her as she tried to approach.
"I hoped you would agree to join me of your free will, but I can deal with it." Danny said walking over to Prince/King Francis.
"You said you would not hurt us." Queen Mary shrieked as she looked at him.
"I gave you my word and I meant it you will not be harmed but since you denied my request, So I have to go with my backup plan." Danny said. "Take him away."
He could feel her fear as she watched her husband being taken away.
The Jaffa would take Prince/King Francis to the Tel'Tak. They would then fly to Ha'Tak and place him in a prison cell.
Danny could hear the sound of the carriage approaching.
"I take it the prince has decided to be stubborn?" Veda asked as she looked at them from the driver's position on the carriage.
"He is going to be staying with us for a while." Danny said. "How are the guards?"
"They have been stripped and the carriage has been searched." Veda answered.
Kada wanted some Jaffa to come with him as he traveled to the royal castle. He accepted as it would make the disguise more believable.
"Good work." Danny said.
He felt the joy being radiated off of Veda's and enjoyed the smile on her face. The Jaffa had been trained to be stoic, but he enjoyed the rare instances of emotion that they showed.
"King?" Queen Mary asked.
"Oh yes I have yet to introduce myself." Danny said picking up a card. "I am Daniel Masters, The King of Dinai."
"I have never heard of such a place." Queen Mary said confused.
"Not surprising." Danny said transmuting the card into a white rose. "I told you that I was from a land far away. Now come on into the carriage. We have a journey to take."
Queen Mary took a look around the camp.
He could read her mind and see that she was tempted to try and run to go save Prince/King Francis, but she also knew that she was not getting anywhere near the camp now.
He watched as she took a deep breath before walking inside. He followed after her. Queen Mary moved to far end of the seat and the other side of the seat.
Danny whistled as he watched them pass the forest.
Eventually the silence got to be too much for her.
"How do you plan to enter the castle?" Queen Mary said.
"I don't." Danny said. "I plan on having you give a message."
A Goa'uld might start blasting everything and announcing their presence to everyone, but he believed that would be unnecessary. A simple threat here and a whisper there should do enough.
"What?" Queen Mary asked.
"You are going to bring Queen Catherine and King Henry to me." Danny said. "I don't think they would want people to know that the prince of France has been abducted."
"You will not get away with extorting the King of France." Queen Mary said.
They could feel as the carriage took them off past the forest and closer to the castle.
"You are so pessimistic Queen Mary." Danny said. "I like to think everything will work out. Looking at things negatively just makes people miserable."
