Chapter Three: List of Demands
The carriage stopped.
The Jaffa had been instructed to stop when they got past the borders of Paris.
"Here is where I get out." Danny said to Queen Mary.
"What?" Queen Mary. "Why?"
"You are going to the castle and give this letter to the King and Queen." Danny said as he handed her the letter he had Kada write down.
The letter also included an excuse for anybody that asked. During their honeymoon Prince/King Francis had come down with a sudden sickness. He is required to stay in Tourettes while he heals. He sent Queen Mary back to make sure that his family knew the truth. Those that knew the Prince/King might find it suspicious but for most people they would accept it.
One of the rumors spread about Prince/King Francis is that he is sickly and has health problems.
In his world that may have been true but here the photographer had been the issue.
"What is in it?" Queen Mary asked.
"It is going to tell the King and Queen that I have captured Prince/King Francis." Danny said. "My warriors will guard you on your journey to the castle."
"Do I have a choice?" Queen Mary asked.
"I gave you a choice earlier and you said no. That is how we ended up here." Danny said. "Are you sure that you want to mess with my plan further?"
"Once King Henry and Queen Catherine learn what you have done, they will come with an army out for blood." Queen Mary said.
"I have no doubt." Danny said. "I want Veda to lead them back here once they are ready."
"Why go through all of this?" Queen Mary asked.
"Queen Mary, you have seen what I can do and the tools that my warriors have. I am not scared of the King or Queen." Danny said. "If I wanted, I could storm that castle no one there is capable of stopping me."
"I hate you." Queen Mary said.
That statement is definitely an achievement. Not even her worst enemies had heard that from Queen Mary.
"Give it some time and you will see that we can be great friends." Danny said to Queen Mary as he opened the carriage door.
"Hafe a safe journey back my king." Veda said.
"Good luck and drive fast." Danny said to Veda who cracked the whip and motivated the horses.
The moment that the carriage was gone Danny teleported back to the camp.

"Yes?" Danny asked.
"Veda has contacted us. They are on the way." Ras'mus said.
"That is good." Danny said as he sat looking at the recording sent by the B.I.R.D.S of the royal castle.
He could see past people standing in the courtyard waiting for the royal carriage. He could see the king and queen standing in the lead waiting to see their son return along with his bride. He could also see Lola and Mary's other ladies-in-waiting Kenna and Greer in the courtyard as well.
It seemed that they looked exactly as the show portrayed them.
Danny could see the smile on Queen Catherine's face.
She had been one of Vlad's favorite characters given their similarities. Powerful manipulators that had been wronged by the people they loved. In Catherine's case she married to a man more in love with his mistress than herself while Vlad was in love with a woman that had married someone, he considered a buffoon.
She had spent the past year trying to get the engagement between the two of them broken. She had performed so many schemes to split the two of them up. Her first attempt had been to have a boy that Lola fancied try to assault her. The second attempt had been to bring Francis' previous lover Olivia back. The last had been to try and sell her Count Vincent.
Queen Catherine had watched over Mary and cared for her when she was a child before she had been sent to the nunnery for her safety. She only grew to fear the type of queen Mary could grow into when she heard the prophecy from Nostradamus that she would be the reason that her son died.
The only reason that she allowed the wedding to happen is because Nostradamus told her that the danger had passed.
She would learn a year later that he had been lying when he died to Scottish rebels.
He felt a smile grow on his face. There were so many secrets to tell in this castle. Just how much amusement he could get from all of them?
Danny watched as Queen Mary left the carriage and approach the King and Queen.
Now he just had to wait for them to come to him.
Queen Mary handed them the letter with tears in her eyes. He could see the alarm raising on Queen Catherine and King Henry's face and then King Henry yelled something that caused everybody to leave.
"They are coming with a guard of eight men." Ras'mus said.
"I did tell them that they were allowed to bring four guards each." Danny said.
"We should strike down their guards the moment that they arrive at the camp." Ras'mus said as he looked at the screen.
"What are you concerned about?" Danny asked turning to face his Jaffa.
"I am not concerned. I am angry." Ras'mus said with his glare disappearing as he looked at him. "From what you tell us the god these people worships hates our Pantheon."
"That is the belief they have." Danny said. "Their leaders have spent centuries trying to destroy the history that Nirtti and the others left behind."
"They deserve to suffer a thousand deaths." Ras'mus said. "Our goddess would demand we burn this world for its arrogance."
He could feel that the rage inside of him is building.
"That is true." Danny admitted as he imaged Nirtti cackling in joy as this world burned in flames. "For right now though I am on vacation when the vacation is over then we can do something about it."
"I don't mean to bother you my king, but I would like to know why you selected this planet?" Ras'mus asked.
The reason he had chosen to come to this planet outside of his kingdom for his vacation is mostly for the Alteran technology that had been left behind on the planet. The show was rather vague on what was stored inside the Antarctic base, but the schematics of the weapons systems alone would probably be very useful on his planets.
He was not going to admit that though and as king he did not have to explain his reasoning to the Jaffa.
"If you want to take your mind off it you can help the others set up for my meeting." Danny said. "I want you to set bury some emitters on the ground."

Danny sat under the construct he created and looked at the approaching carriage.
"Our king is waiting for you inside." Veda said.
Queen Catherine and King Henry walked down from the carriage. Their guards surrounded them as they walked to the campgrounds.
"It is so nice to finally meet you two." Danny said as he transmuted two chairs for the King and Queen to sit on as they entered.
"What in the world?" Queen Catherine asked shocked.
"Just a little trick to show off. I believe that Queen Mary told you about my gifts." Danny said from his chair. "Would you like something to drink?"
There was a pitcher of fresh and clean water on the table brought in by his Jaffa. It would keep the two of them sated while they talked without the risk of alcohol encouraging reckless ideas or impairing judgement. The two of them were going to agree to his terms and he wanted them to be fully aware of what that meant.
"I am not in the mood." King Henry said glaring at him while taking a seat. "I have come here because you have my heir."
"I see you want to start with negotiations." Danny said. "Fine. If you change your mind, then ask and I will make sure that my warriors will bring it."
"What I want is for you to release my son!" Queen Catherine demanded.
"Then we need to start talking about what I want." Danny said.
"How much gold do you want?" King Henry asked.
It was not a surprise that he would start with that. Being kidnapped is not a strange occurrence either royalty or the nobility in times of peace. They had massive amounts of money to spend that was just lying around in a vault. So, it would be no surprise that someone would decide to take a member of a wealthy family and see how much they could get for them.
"You misunderstand what I am after." Danny said tapping the table. "I am not doing this because I want gold."
"You aren't? " King Henry asked clearly shocked at his answer.
"I have no interest in the substance at the moment." Danny said. "The letter you were given informed you that I am a king. I have halls in my castle filled with it."
"Then what do you want?" King Henry asked glaring at him as he slammed his hands on the table. "What is the motive for all of this?"
"There are many things I want but let us start off with the easiest demands." Danny said then turned to the Jaffa standing outside. "Raios bring the list."
"Here you are." Raios said as he approached and handed the data pad to him.
"I will read it off so that we are clear. " Danny said looking at the first item on the list. "To start off I would like to have rooms provided for me and my men in your castle. "
"Can you repeat that?" King Henry asked in an angry tone. "You want to stay in my castle?"
"Yes." Danny said. "I have seen your castle and decided it would be a wonderful place to stay while I am in France."
He had already decided that this country was going to be his base of operations while he explored the world for its treasures. True he could have created his own castle or estate on any land during his stay, but he knew that it would be better to stay somewhere with history he could enjoy and people he could talk with.
"That is why you have kidnapped my son?" Queen Catherine asked outraged.
He could tell that she felt upset over the fact that all her money is helpless in the face of the stranger holding her son hostage.
"If you did not have my heir, I would have you thrown in a dungeon and have you burned alive for being a heretic." King Henry growled.
"Let's not yell." Danny said. "We are adults. I like to believe that we can have a calm discussion."
"Guards." King Henry yelled clearly not listening.
Like good soldiers the Frenchmen came running towards the structure.
Danny sighed and connected with the emitters beneath the snow. He smiled as he watched them crash into the barrier and fall onto their backs. It was not a pleasant fall as they had been running full charge unaware that something was waiting for them.
"What in the world?" A guard asked.
It would not be a surprise if some of them had gained a concussion or broken something. Once they got up, they placed their hands on the wall trying to feel what was in front of them and stopping them from moving forwards.
"It is not going to work." Danny said to them and watched the King and Queen' reaction at the fact that their soldiers crashed into an invisible wall. "You might as well tell them to stop and save the energy."
"How are you doing this?" King Henry asked.
He did not plan on answering that question.
"My second item on the list is that I want you to give my men land that they can use to build a village here during our stay." Danny said.
"You must be insane." King Henry said "I would never take that deal. No King ever would. My son would never want me to hand over French land because he is being held hostage. No matter what happened to him!" His voice rose higher as he continued talking and ended in a roar.
"The lot of them will not get through no matter what they try. You cannot push past it, nor can you pierce through it with a sword. They will just have wait until we are done with our negotiation." Danny said.
"You will release us this instant." Queen Catherine demanded.
"Agree to my requests and I will let you go." Danny said.
"We have other children." King Henry said. "Losing Francis may hurt but we will not give up France."
Queen Catherine's eyes turned to him.
The look on her face may have been calm but he could feel the rage pouring off of her. She was wishing that she could kill the both of them right here and right now.
King of France or not letting one of her children die was not something she would allow.
"I am trying to be reasonable here. I came with just one child held hostage. I could take the others hostage as well. Claude, Henri, Charles, Margarete, Hell I could even hunt down Sebastian if I felt like it. That would leave Leeza with the strongest ties to claim the French Crown and I know the both of you would hate for France to fall under Spanish rule." Danny said.
He knew the did not want that to happen. Queen Catherine had spent the second through fourth season trying to prevent Leeza's scheme to have Charles replaced with his brother Henri as king.
His threat sent Queen Catherine into an uproar.
"You dare to threaten more of my children!" Queen Catherine yelled at him lifting the pitcher of water and clearly trying to smash him upside the head with it.
Trying to be the correct word as the moment she started to strike him he used telekinesis to press down on the Queen. It threw her off balance and sending her to the floor kneeling.
As she fell, she dropped the pitcher to the floor to shatter and spill water everywhere.
"More tricks?" Queen Catherine asked as she tried to rise.
"Guess we are not going to have a calm conversation." Danny said picking up pieces from the shattered pitcher and transmuting it into a sword.
It was not that difficult a thing to do. Transmutation had been one of the first lessons he remembered when he awoke in this body. The science of changing the form of an object into another.
To perform it required an understanding of the composition of the original object that you are altering and the shape of the object that you were changing it into. At that point all it required was the energy to force the change.
It was why he was not interested in any gold or silver these parents offered him. Not to mention that there were tombs full of the stuff hidden all over the world.
"I am trying to be reasonable here but if you force me to, I will find each and every member of your family. I will slaughter the both of you right here I will imprison your children, and your soon to be born grandchild. I can find plenty of nobles that own French castles." Danny said as he swung the sword at Catherine.
It was not close enough to cut her but a simple thrust and that would no longer be true.
"Enough!" King Henry shouted.
"Do you agree to my terms King Henry?" Danny asked turning and pointing the sword at the older man.
Truthfully, he did not want to go that far, and it was why he was hunting down Setesh.
According to the show he had a huge amount of Nish'ta that was just waiting to be stolen. The empire did not sell it cheaply and so his best means was to steal it from someone who already had it. Then he could have the chemical synthesized so he could produce more when needed. The royal family would be more understanding once they lived to serve his every wish.
The Jaffa were scanning the planet for signs of Naquadah. If he found a high enough quantity and he believed that he would be Setesh.
Naquadah is a powerful mineral capable of storing and releasing large amounts of energy once refined. The Alterans had found scores of it across the galaxies in the universe and used it in many of their projects.
There were planets under Goa'uld rule for the sole purpose of mining the mineral. The Goa'uld wanted the element so much the added it into their bloodstream.
It is how they controlled all of their technology from the ships to the healing devices.
The B.I.R.D.S. are being used as to search they are inconspicuous. It was how he had been spying on the planet while doing his research. Even if someone saw them most people would just consider them little beyond a new species. It is how he performed his research while when scanning worlds.
"What do we get out of this deal?" King Henry asked.
"You can be content with the knowledge that your son is safe" Danny said. "Eventually once we get to know each other better you can get your son back." Danny promised them.
"We just have to believe that you are telling the truth." King Henry said.
"Is there any reason that you two have to doubt me?" Danny asked.
"You are a monster." King Henry said.
"Really this coming from the people that convinced Mary's mother to add the clause that if something happened to Queen Mary before she had a child with Prince/King Francis Scotland would become a part of French territory." Danny said to them.
"How do you know about that?" Queen Catherine asked.
"You should be asking what you will need to give me to make sure that I do not tell Queen Mary and Prince/King Francis." Danny said.
"Very well." King Henry said with a grimace trying to hide the terror that he felt.
That secret clause in the marriage contract should have been a secret known only to a few. King Henry, Queen Catherine, Mary De Guise, and two of her three brothers Charles and Christian.
"Now let us continue talking peacefully and calmly." Danny said with a smile. "There are a few more things that I want."
Anything that comes to him after they could talk about.
