"Keep it up, Otaku! Just like that!" Tanoshī helled.
On a saturday morning... Otaku Hyūga was training with his father, Tanoshī Hyūga in the art of the Gentle Fist. The Hyūga father and son have been training for fourteen minutes straight.
"I've wanted to train with my dad for a long time. And now that he's here, I just couldn't miss this chance. I'm glad that I didn't."
Otaku Hyūga was pushing himself to reach his father's level in Taijutsu.
"I want to at least be as strong as my dad. But..."
"Guah!" Otaku had groaned as he had been struck in the chest by Tanoshī's palm.
Otaku bounced on the ground, once before landing on his face.
"Something tells me I have a long way to go."
Otaku coughed a bit of saliva.
Tanoshī gasped, then embarrassingly rubbed the back of his hair. "Oops, Sorry. Sometimes, I forget that I'm not fighting enemy Shinobi. Heh."
Otaku had slowly tried to get up on his feet by planting his hands in the dirt.
Tanoshī sees Otaku struggling to get back up from the ground. "Hey. Don't push yourself so much. The human body has a limit and there's an amount of pain that people can endure."
"B... but, that's the point of being a Shinobi. We endure things. Right, dad?" Otaku had panted as he stood on his feet.
Tanoshī Hyūga looked at Otaku and can see that his son could collapse after all the hard training they did, together. "Let's take a break for now."
Otaku gasped when he heard his father.
A Few Minutes Later...
Otaku Hyūga and his father, Tanoshī had sat on a porch and ate rice balls filled with tuna meat.
"You know, Otaku. When you were at least five years old, we would spar and whenever I hit you, you would fall to the floor and cry." Tanoshī had chuckled.
"I-I did?" Otaku gasped.
"Mm-hmm." Tanoshī' nodded. "And whenever you did cry, your mother would get on my case and lecture me for training a toddler."
"Wow. I don't even remember that." Otaku said as he looked at his rice ball.
"But I'm impressed." Tanoshī said.
"Hm?" Otaku looked to Tanoshī.
"You managed go for almost fifteen minutes. Have you been keeping up with your training?"
"I have. Sometimes, I do train with my teammates in order to get stronger." Otaku said, then thought
"Remember, Otaku... you need more than just Taijutsu to survive in the real world. But I am happy that you are making progress." Tanoshī said.
"Um, Otaku?" A female had called Otaku by his name.
"Hm?" Both Otaku and Tanoshī had looked up toward the front gate only to see a girl with black hair and a pair of black eyes dressed in a blue Qipao dress.
Otaku had quickly recognized her has her teammate, Asami Uchiha. "Asami!"
"Sorry for interrupting Otaku, but Sakumo-sensei had called us for a mission." Asami had told Otaku.
"Uh? Sakumo-sensei called us for a mission?" Otaku chanted.
"Mm-hmm. He asked me to find you and tell you that we will be leaving on a mission, soon." Asami said.
Otaku gasped. 'We're leaving on a mission, already?'
"You might want to listen to them and go." Tanoshī told Otaku.
"Dad?"
"If it's a mission, then you don't want to avoid it." Tanoshī said.
"Okay, but... what about you?" Otaku asked his father.
"It's okay. I'll be here when you get back from your next mission." Tanoshī told Otaku.
Otaku looked toward his dad for two seconds, then looked back at Asami. Otaku quickly stood on his feet and nodded. "Alright, I'm coming!"
Three Minutes Later...
Otaku and Tanoshī were standing at the front entrance of the Hyūga Clan's compound. Otaku had tied his Konohagakure headband around his forehead. "Okay, dad. I'm going to follow Asami and leave for my mission, now!" He said in a positive mood.
"Okay. Take care." Tanoshī said and waved his son off.
As Otaku was departing from the Hyūga Compound, Tanoshī had cracked a smile. "Don't to forget to impress your girlfriends with your Taijutsu." Tanoshī added as he placed hisnhands around his mouth.
Otaku heard Tanoshī and gasped after hearing what he said. He felt a bit embarrassed. "D-Dad!" He said as he turned back to his dad. His face turned pink.
Later That Day...
Otaku Hyūga and Asami Uchiha were walking through the streets of Konoha and were wearing their Konoha headbands. The street that they roamed through were filled with dozens of people. Shinobi and civilian alike.
"Um, Asami? If you don't mind asking... do you know what's the emergency?" Otaku asked in a quiet voice as he walked next to Asami.
"Mm-mm." Asami shook her head no. "I've only been asked by Sakumo-sensei to get you and that it was an emergency." Asami replied back in a quiet voice.
The duo then walked an extra two miles within the Konoha street, until they encountered their sensei.
"Ah, you two are finally here." Sakumo Hatakae said as he stood in the middle of a Konoha street.
"Sakumo-sensei!" Otaku said as he walked to and reunited with Sakumo Hatake.
"It's been a few days, hasn't it?" Sakumo asked.
"Um, yes. But if you don't mind if I ask, what's the mission, Sakumo-sensei?" Otaku asked out of curiosity.
Sakumo had frowned a bit. "I'll tell you, once we go and gather Kushina." Sakumo then turned his back. "Floolw me."
Otaku and Asami silently looked at each other, then followed their sensei. They walked a few more miles, until they had reached a tall multi-storied house close to the rocky wall. Just a few miles east from the Hokage office.
Otaku had noticed the top of the home. "Oh, wow. That's a tall building." He said, then noticed a blue butterfly flying across his path.
"This is Kushina's new home. And she'll be coming out, shortly." Sakumo said as he faced a certain someone's home.
'Kushina lives here?' Otaku had thought for a second.
Suddenly, the front door of the home had opened up and two adult Anbu Black Op Shinobi were dressed in yellow cloaks and wore cat masks on their faces had stepped out through the front door. This catches the attention of the three members of Team Nine.
'Anbu Black Ops?' Otaku thought.
"Is she ready for our upcoming mission?" Sakumo asked the two Anbu Black Ops.
"Why, yes. She should be coming out at any moment." One of the Anbu Black Ops had answered Sakumo. Then, both Anbu had turned their heads back to the front door.
'I-I can't believe it. I'm actually going to see Kushina, again!' Otaku suddenly felt his heart pounding as he stared at the opened door where two Anby Black Ops had walked out of. 'My heart. It's racing. Am I really this excited to see Kushina?' Otaku's heart begun to beat faster as he stared at the open door, until...
Suddenly, a foot had appeared behind the front door.
This catches Otaku's attention. 'A foot?'
Within the next moment, the person who stuck their foot out suddenly stuck their entire body out and walked out from the front door and approached Team Nine. The person wore a yellow short dress and wore a Konoha headband. This person happened to be Kushina Uzumaki.
Otaku's pair of white eyes had widened when he laid eyes on his good friend, Kushina. "K-Kushina!"
"This was the first time that I saw Kushina, since we parted ways in an alleyway. And now, she's back."
Kushina had placed her hands in front of her lower stomach. "Hi... everyone." Kushina said in a bit of a timid tone.
"When I saw Kushina act intimidated and less confident, I knew that something was not right. The first thing I did was..."
Both Otaku and Asami had quickly moved their bodies toward their teammate, Kushina. Otaku moved to Kushina's right and Asami moved to Kushina's left.
"How are you, Kushina? Are you okay?" Otaku asked Kushina with concern.
"Has everything gone well?" Asami asked Kushina.
Kushina had still felt a bit timid as her teammates approach her. "Um, well... I-"
"Enough." Sakumo said.
Otaku, Kushina and Asami had looked at their sensei who interrupted their conversation.
"We don't have time to catch up. We have to head to the Hokage's office and receive our next mission." Sakumo had told his team of Genin.
'Oh, that's right. I wonder, what kind of mission is it?' Otaku had thought.
