Hello Total Disventure All Stars fans. If you are reading this chapter, I assume by now you have reached the finale of Total Disventure All Stars so I will not be holding back on spoilers. Today isn't your average chapter but instead, we're going to be talking about all twenty-four characters, my thoughts and feelings on said characters and how I wrote them and show you a draft of my original elimination order.

So let's get to the elimination order I originally planned to do out of the way quickly, shall we:

24th James

23rd Priya

22nd Miriam

21st Hunter

20th Ripper

Xth Connor

19th Raj

18th Ellie

17th Tom

16th Fiore

15th Aiden

Merge

14th Millie

13th Tess

12th Julia

11th Yul

10th Grett

9th Damien

8th Bowie

7th Alec

6th Jake

5th Connor

4th Ally

3rd Gabby

2nd Riya

1st MK

Yeaaaaaaaaaah, I think you can see why I made the changes I did to the elimination order, from Priya replacing Connor as a returnee, to eliminating Jake and Riya earlier than I actually placed them. Now let's talk about all the characters and why I wrote them the way I did.

James, Miriam, and Hunter: Not much to say about them. I just eliminated them in the same places as the original but with a few divergences here and there. I thought these guys left when they needed to and I didn't feel the need to drag them any further.

Ripper: He was always going to be an early boot but the question was HOW early I was going to boot him. I did originally consider having him and Connor swap eliminations but after I came up with the idea to have him and Connor team up to expose the Villains' Alliance, he was the obvious choice for elimination between the two, especially with Alec, Riya, and MK being more connected to Connor.

Connor: Not much to say about his pre-merge elimination, I thought he had a good run and even made for a good returnee in the original but unlike in the original, I still had multiple characters who I felt deserved to come back such as Priya, Raj, Ellie, and even Ripper so deciding who to have rejoin was tough but ultimately, I decided to keep his pre-merge elimination intact since his return kinda soured people's views on him and I doubted if I could do any better. His original arc was going to be similar to canon where he would lead the Heroes' Alliance and have complicated bonds with Alec, Riya, and MK but I ended up scrapping that because the original love triangle was absolutely terrible so I just kept him eliminated.

Raj: I did consider having him return to fuel Bowie's arc… but that's really it. I used him to help Bowie's arc in becoming a better person and I gave him a friendship with Ally but otherwise, I'm content with what I did with him.

Ellie: By far the biggest sacrifice I made for this fic to work was cutting Ellie in the pre-merge since I needed the Cyan Team eliminations to be as unpredictable as possible while also fueling Gabby to fly solo and become more corrupted by the game. I feel like I handled her plot in lying about the Villains' Alliance a lot better than canon did since I had Gabby confront her instead of Tess, didn't place a stupid ultimatum on her shoulders, and had Bowie being sort of her guardian demon in a way. Ultimately I am proud with how I wrote her.

Tom: I'm very mixed on this guy so if his portrayal came off as a little negative, that's why. I wanted to highlight his flaws more and actually end his plotline sooner than canon did so Jake could do more stuff on his own and that's what I ended up doing with him with the culmination of Gabby eliminating him.

Fiore: Fiore is someone I wish I did more with. Looking back, while she did contribute to some of Julia's schemes, I will admit she felt more like a support character to Julia than her own, and I will admit, I probably should've focused on her arc with Alec a bit more. I'm fine with her placement in this fic, but I do have a few regrets when dealing with her.

Tess: I do wish I could've more with her but with the merge cast I had, pretty much everyone else had a stronger impact on the story and a reason to be there. Tess on the other hand didn't have much going for her other than her friendships with Damien and Ally, and I felt the two of them needed to stand on their own so I eliminated Tess as my last pre-merge boot.

Millie: She mostly existed to fulfill Ashley's role and be there for Jake, Ally, Damien, and Priya but like Ashley, I knew she couldn't stay forever so I had to eliminate her as my first merge boot. Originally it was going to be like Ashley's canon elimination but then I realized I wanted Jake's arc to be more tolerable for you guys so I just had the Ally blindside happen normally.

Yul and Grett: I'll cover them both since I eliminated them at relatively the same area of the story. I did want to improve their arc from canon but ultimately, other than making the demeaning fat jokes against Grett, I couldn't really stomach changing much of their plot other than just having Yul be crueler to Grett than he was in canon which I highly doubt any of you would have enjoyed.

As for Grett herself, I did want to show more of her redeemable side since the narrative of the original All Stars tried to show us that she "changed", but her only real change was being nicer to Gabby so I added in her friendship with MK and also made her arc a little more complex to the point where Gabby wasn't her only salvation from Yul.

Aiden: Not much to say about Aiden. He was great in the original so I mostly replicated his character from the original season. I did give him and Gabby a little rivalry to give him more to do so he wouldn't overstay but I feel satisfied with Aiden.

Jake: I liked his canon arc but with a larger cast and stronger narrative outside of him, he needed to go earlier and so he did. I enjoyed writing his dynamics with Millie and Priya, as well as Aiden and Gabby. I hope I made his arc more stomachable compared to the original season for most of you even if I actually liked his arc in the actual All Stars.

Julia: She was so FUN. From her complexity, to her humor, to her friendships with Ally and Fiore, to her relationship with MK, she was just an absolute blast to write and I am so glad I kept her longer than I originally planned to(which let's be fair, she didn't last too long compared to when I originally planned to boot her). When it comes to MKulia, I do have doubts on if they screenhogged a little or not but I do feel it's less annoying than the Tomjake plot.

Damien: He was a supporting character till the end. Granted, he was a fun supporting character who deserved to last as long as he did but in the end, he was mainly lasting as long as he did to benefit other arcs like Bowie, Priya, and Tess. I'm glad I was still able to get him as far as he did because I really enjoy Damien's character but in the end, I knew he couldn't last too long.

Alec: He was a bit of a struggle to write in all honesty. I knew I wanted to make him less of a shitty father than he was in canon and I feel like I succeeded in that front but I do wish I gave him more interactions with Riya and MK because I do feel he kinda blended into the background for a few episodes which I do feel bad about and if I could change anything, I would probably give Alec a bigger role in some of the chapters he was in the background for but either way, he still got a satisfying ending in my books.

Priya: Going into this fic, I was expecting Priya to be an early boot and that was it but then I realized something, I gave her a really complex backstory and I was just gonna WASTE that?! Unacceptable. So I brought her back into the game to help her get better closure than I originally gave her. I'm glad I developed her friendship with Damien more and even had her form new ones with Jake and Bowie. Ultimately, I think I made the right call in bringing her back.

Riya: Going into this season, Riya was always going to be the main villain, especially after how thematic her ending was about her winning but being all alone, however, when I rewatched more of season two and some of her better All Stars episodes, my sympathy for Riya as a character ended up winning me over and I decided to give her a more hopeful ending. This season is about tying up loose ends and giving these characters a happy ending so I felt like I could extend that same level of kindness to Riya. Hence why I had her make things right with Alec and Connor.

Ally: Ally was a simple character to write for as she was already enjoyable. All I really had to do was focus on her as an actual character and remove her feud with Jake. Safe to say, I think I managed to highlight her good qualities as well as her more dubious ones in a great way. Her friendship with Julia wasn't completely in my plans at first but then I wanted Julia to form more positive connections outside of MK as well as give Ally more to do, and when I thought about it more, I really enjoyed writing for them and I'm glad I decided to make them friends. Overall, I enjoyed writing for Ally and she was pretty easy to write for.

Gabby: Gabby is a more complicated case when it comes to what I wanted to do with her. I knew I wanted to keep her villain arc for the sake of breaking Grett and Yul up and keeping her friendship with the former but I also wanted her to be more sympathetic whilst doing so and not make her out to be some petulant child just because her girlfriend who was mistreating everyone got voted off. Not only do I feel Gabby being upset that Ellie got voted off felt much more reasonable since I got rid of the needless Ellie demonization, but the heroes also treated her pretty poorly to the point where she felt she couldn't trust them which is why I had scenes like Aiden and Tom forcefeeding her live animals and Jake lashing out at her for voting off Tom. Originally Gabby was sort of meant to be an anti-hero and get third place after making up with MK, but once I swapped Riya and Bowie's eliminations, I figured Gabby needed to showcase her being at her lowest and that's why she became the final "villain" of the season. I did contemplate having her be the runner-up but I felt with Ellie being her helper and being concerned about her, she was not going to delay a conversation with Gabby about her mental health. With multiple of her friends showing concern for Gabby and Ally displaying how hurt she was by Gabby's actions, I ultimately decided to have her quit in third place to showcase her development where while money is cool, so is keeping your mental health stable.

Bowie: I was genuinely surprised by how much I managed to accomplish with Bowie. Coming into this season; I knew I wanted to continue his development from the Rematch but as I continued writing for him and his redemption, I knew Bowie was in for a deep run. Bowie actually was going to be eliminated in Riya's place but once I changed my plans involving Riya's fate and realizing I gave Riya enough plot armor, I ended up swapping their eliminations which kinda made for a bit of an anticlimactic final two but at least with Bowie being in the final two with MK, there was always going to be guessing games on who was going to win as well as the fact that no matter who won, most of my readers would be satisfied. Ultimately I gave MK the win since Wayne already won Rematch and I felt Bowie's redemption would be stronger if he lost. Bowie was surprisingly enjoyable to write and I'm glad I brought him as far as I did.

MK: And here we have our winner, MK. First off, let me make it clear that while I do not regret making her win, I do kinda regret not giving her more time without Julia and I think her development into becoming less of a bad person could've been written better. That being said, I am happy with what I ended up accomplishing with MK regardless. I felt I was able to make her a morally grey villain who does have a heart, and I enjoyed writing her interactions with people like Alec, Riya, Connor, Grett, Gabby, Ally, Julia, and Ripper. I felt out of all the finalists, MK's victory would be the strongest since she not only became a better person like Bowie but she ALSO went through a lot of emotionally demanding hurdles to get there. In the end, MK was an absolute delight to write and I'm glad I stuck with the plan to have her win.

If you're curious on my other potential winner options, they ended up being: Bowie, Gabby, Ally, Riya, Alec, Damien, Jake, and Ellie but I didn't end up following through with those winner options since Bowie, Gabby, and Ellie's arcs felt stronger with me letting them lose, Ally and Damien felt a little more like support characters, Alec and Jake would've needed a bit more of an overhaul from their canon incarnations, and if I had Riya win, it would've been in a similar vein to how she originally won so I ended up not doing that.

Thank you all so much for reading this fic, and if you're curious about any potential ideas I have other than continuing the Mingled series, here they are:

Total Drama Rematch Rewrite- While I very much enjoy both seasons of the reboot, I do acknowledge that season two had room for improvement.

Another potential Total Drama and Disventure Camp crossover competition fic- It wouldn't be a sequel to this fic but it would be its own thing. Any requests for what crossover ideas I could do are definitely appreciated.

Total Drama Reboot: Revenge Of The Island- Basically I would be trying to combine members of the Revenge and Reboot cast in a season four type setting. This would take place after World Tour.

Of course I am open to hearing any other compfic ideas you guys come up with. Thanks for sticking around this long, I really couldn't have finished this fic without all of your support.
