Steven was getting ready for another day at the studio, they were filming the episode, Arcade Maina. Steven grabs his script and puts it in his backpack. He goes downstairs, his parents are probably out or asleep.

Steven went out of the house and went on his bike, he pedaled to Burbank.

Steven stopped at the gates of the Cartoon Network movie lot. He walked to his trailer to get dressed in his costume.

The boy walks to the set where they are supposed to be meeting, which is the beach house set. Steven opened the door and saw everyone sitting on the couch, Garnet was reading her script, and so were Amethyst and Pearl. Steven put his bright red backpack in the corner of the soundstage, in between Garnet's bag and Ameythest's backpack.

Steven walks up and sees new faces.

"Hey, you must be Steven, I'm Sour Cream, and this is my little brother Onion." He said.

Steven stood frozen for a moment, his gaze drawn to the peculiar figure in front of him. The boy—if he was a boy—had an unusual look. His fair skin glowed in the soft light, and a small tuft of blond hair sat atop his head like a marker, emphasizing its distinctive shape. The chubby, childlike face wore a somehow curious and calm expression.

Steven's eyes traveled downward, taking in the boy's outfit: a pristine white sweater, its clean simplicity offset by a periwinkle shirt tied casually around his neck like an old-fashioned ascot. Below, pale red footie pants hugged his form, lending him a cozy, almost cartoonish quality.

But what Steven couldn't stop staring at was his head. It wasn't the lack of ears that struck him—although that was strange enough—it was the shape. Round at the bottom and thinning at the top, it reminded Steven of an upside-down onion, though calling it that felt oddly unfair. The proportions were off, almost surreal, like something out of a dream.

Steven blinked, breaking the silence. "Uh… hey there," he said, his voice tinged with hesitation but full of kindness. "I'm Steven. Who… who are you?"

The boy tilted his head slightly, the motion smooth and fluid, and gave a small, warm smile. Steven felt his initial apprehension melt away, replaced by a curious excitement. Whoever this was, Steven knew one thing: this meeting was going to be the start of something very, very interesting.

"Cool, so you're working on the show too?"

Sour Cream nods and shoves his hands into his pockets. Steven walked to the end of the sound stage with his friends.

"Okay, guys! let's get this show on the road." Rebbecca said.

"Steven Universe Arcade Mania: Take one." The Clapper Leader said
In the heart of an underground cave, a shimmering crystal path stretched out before the Crystal Gems, who tread carefully, their footsteps echoing softly against the walls. Garnet, ever the leader, raised a hand, signaling for silence.

"This way," she instructed, her voice low yet commanding.

As they moved deeper into the cave, Steven's jacket rustled with every step, creating an irritating swish that caught Pearl's attention.

"Ugh! Steven!" she hissed, her whisper tinged with annoyance. "This is a stealth mission! You're making too much noise! Take off the jacket!"

"But I don't want to catch a cold!" Steven protested, clutching his jacket tightly around him.

Pearl raised an eyebrow, glancing at his sandals. "Then why are you still wearing those?"

Steven looked down at his feet. "I can be quiet. See? Stealth!" he exclaimed, thrusting his arms out to the sides to avoid any further noise.

Garnet, undeterred, pressed on. "We're getting close."

"Come on then!" Pearl urged, and the group continued down the crystal path, only to be interrupted by Amethyst, who began mimicking the sound of Steven's jacket.

"Amethyst!" Steven turned, exasperated. "Stop that!"

But Amethyst just smiled mischievously, continuing her antics. Pearl, visibly frustrated, shot Steven a glare. "See what you've started?"

"It wasn't me!" Steven defended himself, just as the ledge he stood on began to crumble beneath him.

"Aaaaah!" he screamed, flailing his arms wildly as he plummeted into the darkness below.

"Steven!" Pearl cried out, but Garnet was quick to react, catching him effortlessly at the bottom. As she held him close, a menacing Gem creature emerged from a hole in the ceiling, launching crystal spikes in their direction. Garnet dodged the attacks with grace.

"Stay down," she instructed, gently setting Steven on the ground.

Amethyst, with a determined glint in her eye, scooped Steven up, ready to run. "Come on, poofy!" she said, dashing off.

"What about Garnet?" Steven asked, glancing back.

"Go, Garnet, go!" he cheered as she leapt into action, parrying the creature's attacks with precision. Summoning one of her gauntlets, she delivered a powerful punch to the creature's mouth, causing it to explode in a dazzling cloud of blue, leaving behind a scattering of crystal spikes.

"Wow! You're amazing, Garnet!" Steven exclaimed, awe evident in his voice. "How'd you even do that?"

Pearl pointed to the ground. "Look! The little ones didn't explode." They watched as the remaining spikes burrowed into the earth.

"They're drilling away!" Amethyst declared, excitement bubbling over.

"Let them go," Garnet said, sending the bubble containing the spiky Gem away. "They're just parasites. If they want to be a problem, they'll have to answer to me."

Steven slowly stood up, admiration shining in his eyes. "So cool."

Amethyst, however, had other plans. "I got it!" she shouted, diving into one of the holes but promptly getting stuck.

"I swallowed a rock," she muttered, as Garnet pulled her free.

"Steven Universe Arcade Mania: Take two." The Clapper Leader said

The scene shifted to the vibrant Beach City Boardwalk, where Steven, filled with enthusiasm from their earlier adventure, declared, "We all worked so hard, we deserve a reward!"

Pearl raised an eyebrow. "Sounds like you have something in mind."

With a giggle, Steven began to dance. "I'm taking you guys to the best place in Beach City! Funland Arcade!"

Pearl sighed, "Do we have anything else to do?"

Garnet nodded. "We don't."

Amethyst chimed in, "Um, don't you need money for that place?"

But Steven grinned, opening his jacket to reveal pockets brimming with coins. "Oh, don't worry. This one's on... Meeee!" The Gems shielded their eyes from the glimmering treasure.

"Steven Universe Arcade Mania: Take three." The Clapper Leader said

As they entered the arcade, Steven beamed with excitement, welcoming them to a "wonderland of funtronic gameventions!" Pearl, skeptical, observed, "Humans find such fascinating ways to waste their time."

"Pearl, come on, you'll love this game!" Steven exclaimed, pulling her toward a racing game called "Road Killer."

"W-well, which one of these buttons is my turn signal?" she asked, her apprehension palpable.

"None of them! Have fun!" Steven replied cheerfully, leaving Pearl to navigate the chaotic game.

Meanwhile, he found Amethyst and introduced her to Skeeball, explaining the rules and pointing to the prize booth. As they enjoyed their time, Steven noticed Onion exchanging tickets for a small moped, and they cheered him on.

Then, it was Garnet's turn to play. Steven excitedly presented "Teens of Rage," a fighting game he thought would suit her. But Garnet's literal approach left him nervous as she punched the screen, sending it flying.

"Uhh... Let's try something else," he suggested, leading her to "Punch Buddy." Garnet swatted it with a single hand, declaring victory.

As the day continued, they all indulged in the arcade's offerings, but Steven soon found himself in a panic as he noticed Amethyst cheating at Skeeball.

"Amethyst! That's cheating!" he exclaimed just as Mr. Smiley, the arcade owner, entered, looking for the cause of the mayhem.

"Steven Universe Arcade Mania: Take four." The Clapper Leader said

The next day began with the Gems relaxing at the Crystal Temple. While Steven enjoyed his breakfast, he wondered about the day's mission, hoping for something adventurous. Pearl reminded him that Garnet often went on solo missions, and just then, Amethyst playfully suggested Garnet had a special mission for Steven.

"Really?!" he perked up.

"Yeah, she said you have to slam your face into that bowl of cereal," Amethyst teased.

With a determined nod, Steven dove face-first into his cereal, earning a satisfied laugh from Amethyst.

"Cut! Take five guys," Rebecca said, Steven slid off the bed, and one of the crew handed him a towel so he could get the milk and cereal out of his face and hair.

"Thanks," he said as he handed the towel back to him. He went to the snack table took some fruit and ate some strawberries. Pearl went into her gem and pulled out a bar of granola with chocolate, she opened the wrapping and began to eat it, Ameythest went for the sandwiches at the table and began to eat them in one go.

"Ameythest, do the sound again," he smirked.

"Oh… you mean this sound? she began mimicking the sound of Steven's jacket again. Steven giggled this time, he wanted to laugh when he was doing the scene.

"Alright guys, places!" Rebecca calls out.

"Steven Universe Arcade Mania: Take five." The Clapper Leader said

Later, at the beach, armed with his trusty Metal Mutt, Steven began a quest for quarters. But as he dug, a green creature attacked, clinging to his hand. Panicking, he flailed about, accidentally launching the creature into the air, only for more to appear and swarm him.

"Help!" he shouted, as Pearl and Amethyst rushed to his aid.

"Steven!" Pearl called, summoning her spear to fend off the creatures, but they were too fast.

"We need Garnet!" Steven yelled, realizing she was at the arcade.

"Steven Universe Arcade Mania: Take six." The Clapper Leader said

Inside Funland Arcade, Garnet was still entranced by "Meat Beat Mania." Desperate, Steven tried to shake her from her trance, climbing onto her head and removing her visor, revealing her third eye focused on the game.

"Garnet! You have to help!" he urged, but she remained unresponsive. In a moment of inspiration, he unplugged the game, breaking the spell.

Garnet snapped to attention as Mr. Smiley stormed in, furious over the broken game. But there was no time for apologies; Steven urged Garnet to join him outside to help Pearl and Amethyst.

"Steven Universe Arcade Mania: Take seven." The Clapper Leader said

Later, as Steven swept the arcade floor, he watched Garnet fight off the parasites outside. With newfound determination, he picked up a quarter he discovered and grinned. The day had been a whirlwind of adventure and chaos, yet the bond between them had only grown stronger, just as the narrator's voice echoed in his mind: "Now you're cooking!"

"And, cut! That's a wrap!" the bell rang, Steven yawned then walked off the sound stage.

"You did good, Stee man!" Ameythest said, slapping him on the back.

"Thanks…" he replied, walking to the snack table and grabbing a water bottle and downing it in one go.

Steven walked back to his trailer, he got a message from his father a few minutes ago.

Hey, Schtu-ball. If you're done, come back to the house, my parents are over and they want to see you.

Steven smiled, he loved his cool grandparents. He mounted on his bike and he went to his house.

He made it and opened the door, Tony and Misty were sitting on the couch.

"Hey, Steven!" Misty said

"Hey!" he hugs her legs Misty smiles and hugs him back and ruffles his fluffy hair. She picks him up as he laughs.

"How was filming today, buddy?" Greg asked.

"It was awesome! Garnet got addicted to a video game, but… Then these corrupted gems came out of nowhere and we had to battle them." Steven said as he smiled again.

Tony felt concern for him, he only watched the first episode of his show, but. He was worried about Steven.

Just then, Lion walked down the stairs, He was walking. Tony turns around and almost jumps out of his skin. "I-Is that a lion!" he asked.

"Yeah." Steven nods. "But he's tame," he said, petting Lion, the large pink cat walks off from Steven, doing something else.

"He doesn't listen to you very much, does he?" Misty asked. Steven shook his head. Just then, Clarence calls him, he picks up and answers it.

"Steven! Me, Jeff, and Sumo are coming over. Are you okay with that?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Jeff told me to call you and ask you," Clarence said, as Sumo rolled his eyes at that.

"When are you guys coming?"

"In a few minutes," Clarence said.

Steven sees Clance, Jeff, and Sumo ride up the driveway and set their bikes on the grass. Steven opens the door and he sees them.

"Hey, Steven!" Sumo greeted him. The boy sees his lion. And pet him. "Hey, Lion!" he said, smiling as he petted his fur.

Steven smiles and pets his fur also. Lion laid down and he closed his eyes.

"Let's go upstairs, guys!" Steven said, running up the stairs with his friends.

"I'm glad that he has friends that he can go to every day," Misty tells Rose.

"Me too, Misty. We're glad that he's having fun, juggling between work and life." Rose tells her mother-in-law.

Steven, Clarence, Jeff, and Sumo were in Steven's room now, He fired up his PlayStation. And they started playing video games. Clarence then sees his next script for his show, and he reads it.

"Steven Universe: Giant Woman." Clarence read it silently, he flipped through it, and saw Steven's lines highlighted in pink marker.

Steven then stood up and went to the bathroom, Sumo and Jeff were playing. Jeff sees Lion walk into his room, Sumo stands up then starts petting Lion, Lion yawns and walks over to Steven's bed.

Steven walked out of the restroom. He sees Lion and smiles, he walks over and starts petting him. "You are too cute!" he tells him, scratching behind his ear, Lion yawns and closes his eyes.

"Steven! Come on!" Sumo said, holding a controller, and looking at the paused screen.

Both Steven and Sumo played.
