Not sure if anyone is going to read this at all but I wanted to continue this story even if it is 10 years later lol
The next morning Cristina woke up pretty early. She was laying beside Owen listening to him snoring a bit and laughing to herself. She actually missed his snoring if that was possible. She was scrolling through her phone and all her old pictures of them. Their wedding day was a whole album on her phone. That day was very special to her even if they did end up getting a divorce in the end. She was going through a lot at that point with having PTSD but she had Owen by her side and that's all that mattered. They were back in this happy place in their relationship and Cristina couldn't have asked for a better outcome. She thought to herself they didn't need to get married she knew they both weren't going anywhere.
Eventually Owen woke up and smiled at her then rolled over cuddling into her. "Good morning." He smiled and kissed her. "Good morning snorey." She laughed and kissed him back. "What are you talking about? I don't snore!" He laughed and tickled her. "Sure you don't honey..." She laughed "Hey no tickling! Your child is pushing on my bladder!" "Whoops sorry, I forgot HE likes to kick you there." "You mean SHE does." She smirked. "So how are you feeling today? Are you up for doing something? Nothing crazy, maybe just some lunch and we could go sit in the park?" She leaned down and kissed him. "That sounds great. I am feeling much better. I actually slept pretty good." "Good, I'm glad you did. Oh I do have to stop by somewhere, Teddy was wanting me to look at this condo her and her boyfriend are looking at renting. She just wants to make sure it's up to code and stuff so we can stop by there quickly." He smiled and stretched. "Okay sounds good. Now lets get in the shower please." She gave him a seductive smirk and he hopped right up and helped her up. They showered and had amazing soapy sex as they usually do every morning.
They were all ready to go. Cristina was getting her purse together and headed out the door. "Oh one second I forgot my phone." Owen went into the bedroom and picked up this little box and put it in his coat pocket then walked outside with her. They headed to their favourite little pub that was around the corner from their old firehouse. "I have missed this place. I just wish I could have some wine." She sipped on her ice tea and ate some french fries. Owen laughed. "Soon enough you will be able to. I will take care of the baby one night and you and Meredith can go and party it up or dance it out with tequila...whatever you guys do." Cristina laughed. "I will hold you to that." They finished up their meal and got in the truck. "Lets head over to this condo, just to get that over with then we will go sit in the park or by the water or something." Cristina nodded. "You better be getting me some ice cream if we go by the waterfront." Owen laughed. "Don't worry, I kind of figured that is what you would want to do."
They drove over to this old building right by the waterfront. They got out and headed inside. Owen got the keys from the landlord and they headed up to the top floor. They walked in and Cristina was amazed. "Wow...okay this place is great. I love the brick walls. Teddy has to take this place because if she doesn't, we will." "It really is. I'll just take a look around to see if I can see anything that needs to be fixed." He was always pretty handy, he did a lot of work in their firehouse so he knew what he was looking for. The condo was huge, it was 3 bedrooms and had big windows. You could see the water in every room. The building itself was an old factory that had been restored. Owen was walking around looking at things and he wandered into another room. "Hey Cris, come and look at this room." Cristina walked in and looked around. She saw a small crib in the corner. "Uhhh is Teddy pregnant or something." "Oh what that? I know it's weird right." Owen pretended like he had no idea. "Look there's something in it." She walked over and there was a small box sitting in the crib opened up to this beautiful ring with a red ruby. Owen knew he was going to propose again as soon as Cristina got back from Zurich and they worked everything out. Cristina turned back to him and Owen grabbed the little box and bent down on one knee. "Cristina Yang, will you marry me?" Cristina could feel her eyes tearing up. "Oh my god..Owen! Yes, yes I will!" He put the ring on her finger and hugged her and kissed her. He wiped away some tears and looked down at her. "I know we've done this before but this time it's different. I am not going anywhere and I can't wait to have our little family." She kissed him. "It is very different this time. I'm not leaving either, ever. You're going to have to put up with me until I'm old and gray." She laughed. "Okay so this isn't Teddy's condo is it?" Owen smiled. "It's not...I kind of bought it for us. I saw it online and I came to see it and I got so excited about it. I thought it was very us, you know? It's refurbished and it kind of reminded me of the firehouse..." Owen looked over at her waiting for her reaction. "Owen it's...it's perfect. I love it. It is very us and you know we're kind of refurbished too so it goes well." She laughed. "Oh thank god, I was hoping you were going to say you loved it. I don't really know what I would have done if you hated it." He smirked. "Well I am going to work on this place and by the time the baby comes it will all be done. I have people working on it too. Not a lot has to be done, mostly painting and a few fix ups but it will be done before the baby is here. I thought this could be the baby's room." It was a nice sized room overlooking the water. "I think she's going to love it. I already do."
They walked around a bit more looking at everything and Owen showing her what he wanted to do with the place. She trusted him with everything and he knew what she liked. She loved the firehouse so much and all that work was done by Owen. They walked over to one more room. "I thought this could be your office. You know you can do research or write some articles. Whatever you want to do." "Really? Are you sure?" "I am very sure Cristina. I know how important your career is to you." She smiled. "Thank you, babe. I would love that." They walked around for a bit longer just taking it all in together. Eventually they headed out hand in hand and walked to Owen's truck.
Owen turned to her "Anywhere else you want to go?" Cristina thought for a minute and then had a crazy idea. "Okay...I don't know what you will say to this but...Do you want to go get married at the courthouse?" Owen looked at her shocked. They already did the formal wedding before even though it wasn't big, it was still a ceremony and a reception. Owen laughed a little. "You know what? Let's do it." He leaned over and kissed her, Cristina smiled with excitement. "Do you want to maybe go find something to wear first? We could run to the mall." "Yes, that would be good. I guess we shouldn't get married in jeans."
They headed to the mall and went into a nicer store. Cristina got a cute red dress kind of similar to her other one but shorter. Owen got a blue dress shirt, tie and dress pants. They walked out in their new outfits and headed right over to the courthouse. They, along with other couples were standing there waiting to be called. They both couldn't believe they were doing this. "Cristina Yang and Owen Hunt?" Their name was finally called and they walked in.
The judge started the ceremony and asked if they wanted to say anything to each other. Cristina started. "Owen, you know I love you with all my heart. You have made me the happiest woman in the world and I can't wait to start this life with you again. I know we have been through a lot but we got through it and are stronger for it." She smiled up at him, they were both tearing up. "Cristina, I never imagined a few weeks ago I would be standing here with you marrying you all over again. I didn't think I could ever be this happy and have this huge life with you. You are my life and I love you more than anything in this world. I know we've done this before but this time feels different. We are stronger and we love each other so deeply. I can't wait to call you my wife." Owen let a tear drop from his eye. The judge went on with the ceremony. "You can now kiss your bride." Owen leaned down and kissed her deeply. They signed the paperwork and headed out of the court house.
They went to Owen's truck and just sat there for a minute. "Owen...we're freaking married." She looked over at him, he was grinning from ear to ear. "We are, hey there Mrs. Hunt. Oh sorry I mean Yang-Hunt." He laughed. "That's right it's Yang-Hunt." She leaned over and kissed him. "Lets go home." She whispered to him. They made their way home as a married couple again and they both couldn't be happier.
