Axelle's eyes flutter open as she slowly gets up and looks at Vagrir.
"Ugh, I had the wildest dream," Axelle said, her tone groggy from waking up. "The Warriors themselves were here in this very village and-"
"Axelle, that wasn't a dream," Vagrir interjected as he gestured to Jay-Jay and the Warriors who looked very concerned.
"Are you okay, miss?" Darren questioned. "You need water or anything?"
Axelle blinked a couple of times, she couldn't believe it. She knew that the Warriors had a base in this very place, but she never imagined she would see them in the flesh. "O-oh I'm fine, I appreciate the gesture."
It was quiet for a couple of seconds.
Kinoshita broke the silence. "Umm...we were promised food,"
The group burst out into laughter, easing the tension.
"Well, you did save our villagers so it's only right that we host a feast for y'all," Axelle said before clapping her hands. "Chefs! Fix these fine heroes to our finest dishes!" The. So chefs nodded and began to go to work. "Please have a seat, there is so much I want to talk to y'all about."
The group nods and they take a seat in separate spots.
Aragorn sat by himself.
Darren and Minako sat together.
Kinoshita and Ellis sat together.
Jay-Jay sat by Himself as well.
Axelle takes a seat across from Aragorn. "Aragorn, was it?" Aragorn nods. "Well, it's a huge honor to meet you! I heard so much about your exploits. So tell me, are you the second in command of the Warriors?"
Aragorn lightly chuckles. "While I was close with Baron, I believe Reisa is the second in command,"
"Ah Baron, I heard much about him," Axelle said warmly. "Although, you said you were close with Baron. Did something happen between you two?"
"Well, Baron is no longer the Warriors leader anymore," Aragorn said.
Axelle gasps in shock. "Oh no, what happened?!"
Aragorn quickly realizes what he said and silently curses himself as this was supposed to be a secret. "Let's say Baron did something terrible and we in good conscious couldn't allow him to lead anymore."
"What did he do?" Axelle inquired.
Aragorn looks away. "I don't want to talk about it,"
Hearing the bitterness and sadness in his tone, Axelle nods. "Noted. Well, whatever happened between Baron and the Warriors, I just hope it doesn't affect the Warriors' performance."
"Yeah, I hope so too," Aragorn said as he glanced at his teammates.
"I have to say, this is quite the cozy place," Kinoshita said, looking around the place. "And the food smells heavenly! Yeah, I can see myself retiring here."
Ellis giggles. "I agree and the villagers here seem like good people here,"
"Aye, I just hope someone loves gossip as much as I do," Kinoshita smiled.
"Every village has their messy person," Ellis said while rolling her eyes. "I'm sure you will find your someone in no time."
Kinoshita laughs. "Oh Ellis, you sure know how to crack a girl up!"
Ellis smiles.
It was quiet between the two for a couple of seconds.
"So Kinoshita, how are you feeling?" Ellis asked, concern laced in her voice. "I saw you crying earlier."
Kinoshita's smile dropped and is replaced by a sad look. "Oh, you see that?"
Ellis nods. "I did and I'm worried about this team's future too. I mean for Baron to do that is just despicable."
"It's beyond that," Kinoshita sneered. "I mean, did he even think about the consequences of his actions? Or how this will affect us?!"
"He didn't think I fear," Ellis said with a sigh. "He probably thought he was never going to get caught."
Kinoshita slams her fist on the table. "How could he think that?! We were going to catch on eventually! Kaige was acting weird! Like he always had something smart to say and we obviously had a rocky relationship, so when he started being quiet and obeying our every command like a dog, something was up!"
"I don't know what was Baron's end game," Ellis said, tears well up in her life. "But...to think he would do this to...us...it's too much."
Kinoshita's expression softened. "I didn't it was affecting you like that, Ellis..."
"How it couldn't?!" Ellis screamed, Kinoshita was taken aback by the sudden scream. "I view this team as my family! And now, we might break apart all because our leader was a vile man who only cared about himself?!"
Seeing Ellis' commotion drawing worried and curious looks their way, Kinoshita wrap her arm around Ellis and pulls her close. "I...it's okay, Ellis, I...I'm here for you. Let's it all out."
With that, Ellis weeps into Kinoshita's chest. With silent tears falling down from Kinoshita's face.
Darren looks over at them with a concerned expression before turning to Minako. "Man, I didn't know it was affecting Ellis like that too,"
"I think it's affecting everyone," Minako said, looking at Aragon who has a great sadness in his eyes.
Darren sighs. "Yeah, you're right. I mean to find our leader is a rapist is...unnerving to say the least." Darren looks at Minako. "Say, you don't seem that affected by this news. How come?"
Minako shrugs. "I guess it's because I barely interacted with Baron? I mean it does suck that Baron turn out to be a despicable man and I would love nothing more than to beat his ass, but I just never interacted with him much so I don't have this idolized image in my head. What about you? You seem to be holding up well after all this. I mean you interacted with him more than I did."
"For me, I guess it is that I always sense that Baron has a dark side to him," Darren leaned in close so no one could hear their conversation. "I mean his aura always feels off to me. Like how his words don't quite match his tone or something like that."
Minako nods in understand. "I get what you're saying, it just seems like he did all this for the glory and fame of being a good Samaritan."
"Yeah," Darren sighed. "Now we're the ones that going have to clean after his mess."
"Any idea on what should we do when Baron gets out?" Minako questioned. "I mean I know the fallout from it is going to be bad, so I want to prepare on how to handle it."
"That's the thing, we don't announce," Darren said with no hesitation.
Silence falls between the two for a couple of seconds.
Minako blinked a couple of times before she narrowed her eyes. "What?"
"Look before you get mad, hear me out," Darren pleaded, his hands raised in a gesture of peace. "The public doesn't know have to about this. I mean as long that Baron is locked up and punished accordingly for his crimes. We should be good, right?"
"The public deserves to know," Minako argued. "I mean after a while, the public are going to notice that Baron is gone and are going to start questions. What then? Did we lie to them?"
"As much I hate to say it, but yes," Darren said.
Minako gasps before grabbing by the collar of his shirt. "Excuse me?! But lying is something we shouldn't do so lightly! We fight for truth and we be hypocrites if start telling lies!"
Darren is surprised by the action, but he quickly regains composure. "Look, I don't like it as much as you do, but sometimes, you have to lie for your benefit. I mean think about it, adding the stress of dealing with the fallout while tending to our duties as Warriors will cause us to lose morale and that will affect our performance on the battlefield. And we can't have that as the public needs us more than ever. We can't let them down or else, lives be lost."
Minako thought about what he said before letting him go. "We talk about this more when we get back to base. I don't need the villagers hearing this," She gestures to the villagers who are concern at the scene and are starting to murmur amongst themselves.
"I'm with you there," Darren nods in agreement before putting a reassuring hand on Minako's shoulder. "Look whatever happens, just know I got your back."
Minako flashes Darren a small smile. "And I got yours as well,"
It fell quiet between the two as they thought about their decision to let the public know what Baron did and the possible consequences of it.
"So about this Jay-Jay guy," Darren said, wanting to change the subject. "What do you think of Him?"
Minako furrowed a brow at this. "What do you mean? We just met Him."
"I know I know, but it isn't like Aragorn to take much interest in a stranger, don't you think?" Darren inquired, glancing at Jay-Jay who is talking to the villagers He saved.
Minako stroked her chin in thought. "You're right, it's strange that Aragorn takes this much interest in a stranger,"
Darren nodded. "Right? It's almost like he trying to recruit Jay-Jay to our team,"
Minako softly chuckles. "It did seem that way, but I doubt he will recruit Jay-Jay to the Warriors. We hardly know the Guy,"
"I don't know, I say the idea has some merits to it," Darren interjected.
Minako's eyes slightly widen in surprise. "There is no way you think that is a good idea,"
"I mean, it obvious that Jay-Jay knows how to handle Himself," Darren argued. "He save those villagers from the bandits. Not only that, but He is very charismatic." Darren gestures to Jay-Jay who easily has the villagers' attention and cracking them the fuck up. "And He is very handsome too as I have never seen anyone have this insane amount of pull." He gestures to Jay-Jay who easily the women and men ogling Him like He is the last piece of steak at a buffet. Kinoshita was shooting Jay-Jay with bedroom eyes while Ellis was stealing glances now and again. "So He will obviously bring good things to our team."
"I don't know, Darren," Minako is unsure about this as this seems too insane even for her. "We just met the Guy and how could be we sure He will stay? I'm sure that once He will found out about what Baron did...He will quickly leave and cut off contact with us."
Darren rolled his eyes. "You're being dramatic, Minako. Look, I get that you're paranoid, but none of us has anything to do with Baron's plan. We were all shock about what he did and we quickly took care of it. You act like we all had something to do with it when that couldn't be further from the truth. We're on the same side here."
Minako sighs. "You're right, I'm just worried. I mean some people do think we should disband,"
Darren's expression softened. "Yeah, I overheard some of our team members conversations and we are definitely about this matter. I hope that the Warriors don't disband as existence needs us more than ever to protect the innocent and defenseless."
Minako nods in agreement. "I agree. Look, I'm not completely against Jay-Jay joining us, we should get to know Him more to see if He can handle being with us and that He doesn't turn out to be like another Baron."
"That's the plan," Darren assured her. "We will get through this, we come out of tough situations before and this is no different."
"I hope so," Minanko sighed as she glanced at Aragorn and then at Kinoshita and Ellis. "I sure hope so."
"So Jay-Jay, are You with the Warriors?" A young girl questioned. "I have never seen or heard of You before."
"No, I'm not," Jay-Jay answered with a sweet smile, making everyone's heart flutter. "I'm a solo traveler."
"Oh okay," The young girl nods. "I hope I get to be as strong and powerful as You one day!"
Jay-Jay ruffles her hair. "If you like, I would be happy to train you,"
The villagers are taken aback by this while the young girl jumps up and down.
"You mean it, Jay-Jay?!" The young girl questioned, beaming at training under Jay-Jay.
"I mean it, dear," Jay-Jay reaffirmed her.
The young girl jumps into Jay-Jay's arms. "Oh thank You, Jay-Jay! You're the best!"
Jay-Jay chuckles. "Anytime, sweetheart,"
"So how long have You been in this hero business, Jayvon?" A middle-aged man asked. "I mean You were unscathed during the process of taking out the bandits."
"I've been doing this ever since existence was created," Jay-Jay answered casually.
Everyone gasps at this as they couldn't believe what they just heard.
"Ever since existence was created?" A middle-aged woman repeated, trying to process His answer.
"Damn, You're old as fuck, Jay-Jay," A teenage boy joked, hoping to ease the tension.
All he did was get smacked upside his head by his mother.
"OW! What was that for ma?!" He yelped as he rubbed his head.
"Show some respect to the Man who saves us, boy!" The mother chided before turning to Jay-Jay and her expression softened. "Sorry for my boy's disrespect. I try my hardest to instill some respect in him, but he is so damn defiant."
Jay-Jay gives her a dismissive wave. "No need to apologize for your boy. He was just making a joke and besides, I'm old,"
"And yet, You don't look a day over 25," A young woman said, subtly licking her lips as she looked at Jay-Jay up and down. 'The things I will do to get into Your pants.'
Jay-Jay softly chuckles. "Well, perks of being so powerful that aging fears Me,"
This earns a laugh from everyone in the room.
"Man, You're funny," The young woman said between her laughs. "You sure know how to bring laughter to dark times."
"It's a valuable skill," Jay-Jay smiled. "I mean life without laughter is a miserable experience and I don't want people to be miserable so spreading joy and laughter is always a good way to make the world a better place."
Everyone's heart fluttered again as much Jay-Jay is a powerful combatant, He is a pure and innocent soul at His heart.
'I bet He is loyal to a fault too,' The young woman thought, her lust reaching new levels. 'And given the way He is carrying Himself...I know He has a massive dick.'
"So Jay-Jay," The mother called out, catching Jay-Jay's attention. "Are You single?"
The villagers is a bit surprised at the question.
Jay-Jay on the other hand, is unfazed by the question. "Yes, I am,"
The mother's eyes twinkle with hope. "Oh, You are?" The mother leans down, giving Jay-Jay a good view of her ample cleavage. "Well, are You looking for someone? Because I could make a mean apple pie." She leans in closer so she can whisper in His eye. "Not only that, but I don't have a gag reflex."
Jay-Jay sweatdropped and scooched His chair away from her. "I'll pass on that as I don't get down like that,"
The mother frowns for a bit before smirking. "Oh, You're the shy type. Don't worry darling, I don't bite unless You're into that~."
"Ma'am, I'm not into any of that," Jay-Jay sighed, He really loves His children, but man, they sure are bold and their lust really be their biggest downfall at times. "I don't concern Myself with the matters of romance or sex."
The mother tilts her head in confusion. "Is it because You're a hero and You don't want people to get caught in Your lifestyle? I mean if that what it is, then don't worry about that sweetheart, I can handle myself just fine. I mean deal with this brat every day," The mother grabs her son and ruffles his hair while the teenage boy is horrified at his mother flirting with their Savior. "So a couple of villains would be a piece of cake for me."
"I'm aromantic asexual, sweetie," Jay-Jay said in a deadpan tone. "And I'm older than everyone in existence so I see everyone as My children."
The villagers are shocked by this as they never met someone who doesn't crave love or sex.
"So, You're a virgin by choice?" The teenage boy questioned, trying to make sense of this revelation.
The mother was about to smack her son again, but she was interrupted by Jay-Jay's answer.
"I am the embodiment of chastity, so yes,"
'FUCK! Why all the good men are either taken or they're not interested in the matters of love!' The mother mentally screams as she tugs her own hair.
'Well, there goes my shot,' The young woman thought with a sigh. 'And here I thought I met the Man of my dreams. Well, there are plenty of fish in the sea. Although I doubt there anyone out there who can match Jay-Jay's handsomeness and cuteness.'
"Hmm, interesting," An old man said as he stroked his while looking at Jay-Jay. "So You're not tempted by the matters of intimacy?"
Jay-Jay shook His head. "No, but that doesn't stop men and women from shooting their shot or throwing themselves at Me."
The old man nods thoughtfully. "Hmm, interesting. The Warriors would be lucky to have a member like You among them,"
"Speaking of the Warriors, Jay-Jay do You know what going on with them?" The young woman asked in concern. "They look so out of it during their whole time here. Is our village not to their liking?"
Jay-Jay shakes His head. "It's not that and while I do know what going on, I'm afraid it's classified information, so I won't let y'all in on their private matters,"
The villagers frown, but they nod in understanding. They just wish they could help the Warriors in any way they can as they did so much from the Omega Omnisphere and they just want to return the favor.
The doors suddenly open and chefs with large trays of food enter the room. Laying the trays on the tables. The aroma of the food already has the villagers and the Warriors drooling.
Axelle smiles. "The Warriors and Jay-Jay, I appreciate y'all for bringing our family and friends home. While I know this feast can't ever repay y'all fully for what y'all did, but please accept it as a token of our gratitude."
"Are you kidding me?! This the best food I ever tasted!" Kinoshita shouted as she stuffed her face. "Consider the debt fully repaid!"
Eliis giggles. "You couldn't wait to eat, huh?"
Kinoshita shook her head as she continued to stuff her face.
"Classic Kinoshita," Darren said with an amused smile.
"That girl can eat, that for sure," Minako said while shaking her head in amazement.
"Well, dig in, everyone," Aragorn said. "It's not every day that a village hosts a feast for us."
The Warriors nodded and they began to eat.
The Warriors' base, the dungeon.
Reisa walks down to the dungeon to talk with Baron.
She is feeling a lot of emotions, but her most prominent ones are rage and heartbreak. She couldn't believe that Baron would stoop this low. She thought he was better than this.
She broke out of her thoughts when she heard footsteps coming her way.
"Who goes there?!" Reisa questioned as she got in her fighting stance.
"Whoa whoa, relax, Reisa," Roxanne said, holding her hands up. "It's me, Roxanne."
Reisa relaxes and lets out a deep sigh. "Oh, it's just you, I thought someone had gotten through our security measures."
"Nope, our security measures are still the best thanks to me!" Roxanne smiled as she proudly pointed to herself, earning an eye roll from Reisa. "But on more serious note, you need to relax Reisa. This whole reveal has you on edge."
Reisa glares at her. "Relax? How can I relax when our very leader basically made someone his slave?! Who knows what else secrets this team could be hiding?!"
"Easy Reisa! You're speaking irrationally!" Roxanne said. "Take a deep breath."
Reisa takes a deep breath, her nerves relaxing slightly. "Sorry for lashing out,"
"No need to apologize," Roxanne flashed her a reassuring smile. "This reveal has been hard on all of us so I know it has been especially hard on you since you're his second in command and all that jazz."
Reisa nodded as a sad expression etched her face. "Speaking of him, is he secure?"
"You betcha!" Roxanne beamed with pride. "I reinforce the security of his cell so he won't be able to escape!"
"Good, now if you excuse me, I need to have a talk with him," Reisa heads toward Baron's cell.
"Good luck, Reisa!" Roxanne shouted before sighing and heading to the upper level. She feels for Reisa as she is one of the few who is aware of Reisa's true feelings towards Baron. Roxanne always encourages Reisa to reveal her feelings towards Baron, but Reisa refuses as she wants a strictly professional relationship with Baron and she doesn't romance to complicate her job which Roxanne understands as it would be pretty awkward to date your coworkers. 'I really feel bad for Reisa, she loved that monster,' Roxanne thought with a sad smile. 'And yet, the man she loves turned out to be a monster. I hope she finds some sense of peace after his talk with him.'
Reisa made it to Baron's cell who is currently sitting on the floor with an unreadable expression.
"Baron," Reisa calls out, her voice soft and calm. "We need to talk."
Baron looks up to Reisa. "Well well well, look who it is, one of the traitors,"
Reisa's anger flares, but she manages to calm herself down. "I'm being serious, Baron,"
"Go away, I have no business talking to traitors like you," Baron snarled as he bared his teeth at Reisa.
Reisa didn't listen. "How could you do to Kaige?!"
Baron frowned. "You're really asking me that? He was our former enemy, we couldn't trust him completely."
"That still doesn't justify your mind raping him and turning him into your slave!" Reisa shouted, rage laced in her voice.
"I was doing it for the greater good," Baron defended as he tried to stand up but the effects of the tranquilizer kept him down. "You and the others were too blind to see it. There was a reason why I kept a secret."
"And yet, you still got caught. Wasn't a well-kept secret," Reisa shot back earning a growl from Baron. "Come on Baron, do you really take your team for a bunch of fools?"
"If I'm being honest, yes," Baron answered, Reisa's eyes widened at his answer. "Y'all always been idealistic, always willing to negotiate with the enemy. Y'all are soft and I knew if I told any of you about my plan of brainwashing Kaige to our side...y'all would have rejected it so it was best if I kept it to myself."
Tears fall down from Reisa's face. "S...so t...that how you really feel about us?"
"Sadly, yes," Baron said with a solemn nod. "But I always respected y'all abilities and I knew that you all would be useful assets to my cause."
Reisa's anger flared up again as she grabbed the bars. "Is that what we are to you?! Pawns in some twisted game of chess?!"
"I wouldn't say all that," Kaige said in a low tone. "But yes."
"I trusted you, I believed in you," Reisa said, her voice strained with pain. "Hell, I even loved you."
Baron lightly laughs. "You loved me? Then you are a bigger fool than I expected you to be."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Reisa asked, baring her teeth.
"It means I ain't the one to be loved," Baron answered, unphased by Reisa's anger. "I would do anything for the greater good, including sacrificing the ones I loved dearly. Besides, if you really loved me, you would side with me against those traitors."
"Those are my friends, watch how you talk about them!" Reisa is tempted to unlock his cell door and go in there and beat his ass, but she knows that giving in to her anger would make the situation worse. "And we aren't traitors! We stuck to our code and arrested you! You violated a person's free will and you expect us to sit idly by while you give into your twisted sense of heroism?!"
Baron's eye flicked to anger. "My sense of heroism is not twisted, you're just too much of a softie to say it. You know the monsters we fought and you know damn well what they were capable of. The monsters we kept coming across were only getting more powerful and dangerous. So I had to take drastic action and that is when I realized that Kaige is the perfect piece for my plan."
Reisa's grip on the bar tightens. "You're really believe in the nonsense you spew? Disappointing, but given what you did, I shouldn't be too surprised." Reisa steps back from the cell and breathes. "Well, I hope this was worth it for you. You lost your team's respect and our trust. You sacrificed your dignity and morals for power and a twisted sense of heroism! I can't believe I ever loved you. Well, goodbye, Baron. You should feel lucky that I didn't kill you where you stand!"
With that, Reisa turns on her heel and begins to leave.
Rage swells in Baron as he runs to the cell's bars and grips them tightly in attempt to break it. "So you're just another weak bitch?! You're just like the rest of them! A bunch of pansy ass bitches that don't have the guts to do what is truly right! Without me, the Warriors will fall and the Omega Omnisphere descend into chaos! You all will see! YOU ALL WILL SEE!"
Reisa tries to ignore him, but the words get to her, and tears well up in her eyes.
When she exited the dungeon, she found an empty room and slid down a wall as she begins to sob.
She couldn't believe that their leader was a monster that they were fighting against. How could they be so blind to see it? Now, the Warriors are split on staying together or completely disbanding as this reveal left them feeling like they ain't smart enough to fight against injustice. Reisa hopes that the Warriors stay together as she always feel like the Warriors were her family. Sure, she may not always show it as she is pretty reserved and isn't the affectionate type, but she does appreciate them deeply as they help with dark times and always catch her when she fall.
'NO, I will not let the Warriors disband,' Reisa thought as she clenched her fists. 'The Warriors need a leader more than ever and wallowing in my self pity would not help.' Reisa stands up and looks at the window and saw a blizzard about to hit. 'First, i need to contact Aragorn's group and see where they at. I don't want them to get hit with the blizzard.'
"What the status report with Aragorn's group?" Roxanne asked.
"Nothing," Kuroko said with a sigh. "They haven't contacted us ever since they left for the mission."
Roxanne rubs her temple in frustration. "Great, our comrades might get caught up in a blizzard,"
"Yeah, I worry about the"m too," Kuroko said, her tone filled with concern. "What do you say we should do?"
Roxanne ponders for a moment. "There still some time before the blizzard hits so in two hours give or take, we try contacting them again and if they don't respond then we send out a search party for them."
Kuroko nods in agreement. "Sounds like a plan. I go and get my outfit just in case."
"Before you leave, I have a question for you,"
"Shoot,"
"About the fate of the Warriors...where do you stand?"
Kuroko stroked her chin thoughtfully. "If I'm being honest, it's be best if we disbanded."
Roxanne's eyes widen in surprise. "Huh, I wasn't expecting that answer from you,"
"Yeah, I wasn't expecting that from me, then again being unpredictable was always my specialty," Kuroko joked, earning a giggle from Roxanne. "On a more serious note, I just feel like if we can't pick up on our leader's deceit then we aren't the capaable heroes we thought ourselves to be. Like how are we going to be able to defend the innocent and the defenseless?"
"I wouldn't say that," Roxanne argued. "I mean we would able to quickly pick up on the fact that Kaige wasn't acting like his usual self and we quickly act on it and figure out what Baron be doing."
"Okay, you got more there," Kuroko admitted. "The truth of the matter is, I just don't feel safe on this team. Who knows what other secrets our team members could be hiding?"
Roxanne nods in understanding. "I understand that, because not going to lie, that was on the back of my mind as well when it came out. However, seeing our team mates reactions when we confronted Baron let me know that no one was in this secret with Baron's actions."
"Thank God for that," Kuroko said. "All I'm going to say is, I'm going to watching my back for a while. I don't know who I can trust in this team anymore."
Roxanne flashed her a sad smile and place a hand on Kuroko's shoulder. "I understand. If you want to leave the Warriors, I would respect your decision. As for me, I'm going to stay here to keep an eye on Reisa as she loved that man."
Kuroko is baffled by her reply. "Are you kidding?! There is no way I'm leaving you here alone. I got your back till the end!"
"Oh Kuroko, ever the loyal friend," Roxanne said with a light laugh. "But that's your best quality, I'm so lucky to have you in my life."
Kuroko flashes her a warm smile. "And I feel the same way about you,"
The two share a hug.
"And I wish I could help with the Reisa's situation," Kuroko said as the two separated. "But I'm afraid you're on your own on that one as I've never been the best in relationships."
"It's okay," Roxanne said with a dismissive wave. "I know I would be basically alone on that issue as I'm one of the few people that Reisa open up to."
"Can't really blame her as people be off the fucking rails nowadays,"
Roxanne giggles. "Yeah, you're right, but hopefully, we will get through this storm together." Roxanne looks out the window. Admiring the beautiful view of the mountains.
Kuroko takes Roxanne's hand and clasp it tightly. "We will and I get your back through every single of the way,"
Roxanne smiled and lays her head on Kuroko's. "And I get yours as well,"
"Man, y'all did motherfucking thing with these food," Darren praised, patting his belly. "Give my thanks to the chef!"
"10 out of 10, would eat again," Minako said, using a napkin to wipe her mouth.
"Again, thank you for treating us warmly," Aragorn thanked with a warm smile. "We're grateful."
Axelle blushes. "Oh, stop! It was the least I can do after you and your team save our villagers."
"We were just doing our job miss," Ellis said while sipping her wine.
"Oh stop being so humble and wear y'all achievement with pride for once!" The mother said loudly. "We appreciate the humbleness but it wouldn't kill y'all to be proud of y'all achievements!"
"Mom!" The teenage son shouted, embarrassed by his mom antics.
"Oh hush boy, you know it's true," The mother roll her eyes.
"Yeah, it's kinda hard to look at our achievements after what happened..." Kinoshita said a little bit too loudly.
Now this is making the villagers uncomfortable as the Warriors' have been talking or whispering about an incident.
Sensing the tension, Axelle quickly change the subject. "Anyway, we need to talk about your room arrangements! The blizzard is about to hit soon and I would like to see y'all to y'all rooms!"
"Before we do that," Ellis interjected. "Does these villagers has a way to communicate with people outside of it? I know our team has been worry sick about us and we been meaning to contact them, but our comms don't work this far into the Everlasting Highlands."
"Besides writing letters and using pigeons and ravens to transport, I'm afraid not," Axelle answered.
Ellis expression saddened. "Oh, I see,"
"I can help with that," Jay-Jay said, everyone turning their attention to Him. "I can establish a telepathic link to the Warriors and y'all, just say the word."
Ellis beamed in happiness and she skips over to Jay-Jay, she accidentally smother her breasts in Jay-Jay's face. "Oh thank You very much, Jay-Jay! You're a lifesaver!"
"Umm...Ellis," Aragorn gently calls out. "I think you're suffocating Him."
Ellis looks down and sees Jay-Jay's face in her breasts. Embarrassed, Ellis quickly steps away from Him. "Oh my God, You're alright? I hope I didn't hurt You,"
Jay-Jay is unphased by the hug and gives her a dismissive wave. "You're good, you just showing your appreciation, nothing wrong with that,"
Ellis smiles and pinch Jay-Jay's cheek. "Aw, You're an absolute sweetheart,"
'You know, most men will kill to be in between Ellis' breasts like that,' Kinoshita thought, looking at Jay-Jay with an intrigue gaze. 'Yet, Jay-Jay didn't seem like He was living the dream when He was in them. What chance did I have with Him then?!'
"Anyway, let hurry to y'all rooms!" Axelle commanded as she quickly stand from her seat and sped walk to the rooms.
The group quickly got up from their seat and follow her.
After 2 minutes, Axelle and the group made it to the rooms.
"Sorry, I couldn't find more rooms," Axelle apologized with a bow of her head. "We have a full village and this is the only rooms that was empty."
"Don't stress about it," Darren said. "We quite used to sharing rooms, comes with being Warriors."
Axelle nods in understanding. "Well, hopefully I be able to speak with y'all more tomorrow. It was an honor serving you to a feast,"
Minako smiles. "We are forever thankful for your and your village's kindness," The Warriors and Jay-Jay slightly bow their heads to her.
"Nonsense," Axelle gives them a dismissive wave. "Just doing my duty as the village leader. I hope the rooms are to y'all liking. Until then, ta-ta."
With that, Axelle turned on her heel and left.
Darren and Aragorn share a room while Kinoshita and Minako share a room.
"Oh my, I guess You and I are sharing a room," Ellis said as she turned to her face.
"We are," Jay-Jay said, He opened the door and gestured for Ellis to enter. "After you."
Ellis blushes. "Ah, You're such a gentleman," Ellis enters the room. "I bet all the girls be falling for You."
Jay-Jay lightly chuckles. "You don't even know the half of it," He enters the room and closes the door behind Him.
Ellis lays down on the bed and is taken aback by how soft it is. "Oh wow, this bed is very comfortable. They sure went out of their way to make us feel comfortable,"
"They're a welcoming village," Jay-Jay smiled. "Anyway, do you want to contact your team now or later?"
Ellis quickly sat up in her bed. "Now. I know they are worried sick about us."
Jay-Jay nods and He immediately establishes a mental connection. "Aight, you're good to go now,"
"Can anyone hear me?" Ellis questioned.
"Ellis! Is that you?" Reisa asked. "Is the comms working now?"
"No, I'm talking to you through a telepathic link," Ellis answered.
Reisa tilts her head in confusion. "Telepathic link? When do you learn how to use telepathy magic?"
Ellis lightly giggles. "I didn't, I'm talking to you through a link Jay-Jay created."
"Jay-Jay, who is that?" Reisa questioned.
"That would be Me," Jay-Jay spoke up. "I came across the Warriors when I rescued the villagers from the bandits."
"And I have to say, Jay-Jay is quite the Man," Ellis purred with a giggle as she looked at Jay-Jay up and down. "You would love Him."
Reisa scoffs at that. "We'll see about that. So I take that the others are safe and accounted for."
Ellis nods. "Yes, we decided to stay in the village until the blizzard passes."
"I understand," Reisa said. "Well, keep us posted, and stay safe out there."
"We will," Ellis smiled. "Stay strong, Reisa."
"I will," With that, the telepathic connection ended and Ellis lays back down on her bed.
"I might need to come to this village more often," Ellis lets out a content sigh. "Because this bed is heavenly."
Jay-Jay smiles at her happiness and He sits on His bed. He begins to mediate to pass the time.
Silence fall between the two as Ellis is looking at the ceiling, lost in her thoughts.
Ellis tries to drift off to sleep, but her thoughts is weighing on her heavily.
Needing to let her thoughts out, she turns to the Supreme Hero. "Jay-Jay, do You have a moment?"
"Always," Jay-Jay said, breaking out of His mediative state. "Speak with your heart."
Ellis takes a deep breathe. "So, hypothetically, let's say your leader done something despicable and he wasn't sorry actions...how do you move on?"
"Always remember that your leader's actions ain't your own team actions," Jay-Jay answered. "I premused that the team have confronted in this scenario, yes?"
Ellis nods. "They did, not only that, but they also locked him away so he won't take anyone free will away again,"
"Then, they did the right thing," Jay-Jay said with a smile. "They recognized their leader wrongdoing and with a heavy heart, they arrest him. Holding him accountable for his actions. However, I suspect the team are hurt by the wrongdoing and they are valid in their feelings. Healing takes time and they should take all the time they need to feel their emotions and process them."
Ellis feels a load of her chest and she flashes a grateful smile. "Thank You, Jay-Jay. I will keep that in mind. Have a good night,"
Jay-Jay nods. "Anytime."
With that, Ellis lay back down in her bed and she drift off to sleep while Jay-Jay went back to mediating.
"Man, this fireplace feels good," Darren said, he turned to Aragorn. "Aye, Aragorn catch some heat. You will freeze to death if you keep standing in the window like that."
Aragorn didn't answer, instead he continue to look out the window, his mind racing about the future of the Warriors' future.
"Aragorn, you good?" Darren asked, he starting to get concern as Aragorn isn't this quiet. "Aragorn!"
Aragorn broke out of his thoughts and turned to look Aragorn. "Oh sorry about that, I was in my thoughts."
"You want to talk about it?" Darren offered. "I mean you have been out of it during this whole trip."
Aragorn sighs. "It's just...I'm concern about the Warriors' future,"
Darren expression saddened. "Yeah, I am too because everyone is taking this hard. I still can't believe that Baron would do this."
"Me either," Aragorn agreed as he shakes his head. "Sometimes, I hope this is one nightmare that I would eventually wake up from. Sadly, this is real life and all this time the leader we come to respect and believe in was a monster."
"He something alright," Darren said, his fists clenched in anger. "To think he had the capability of doing this. Who knows what else he might be hiding?"
"I just hope he didn't hurt anymore people right under our noses," Aragorn sighed. "How we didn't catch on earlier with the situation with Kaige?"
"To be fair to us, we didn't think that Baron would stooped that low," Darren said defesively. "I be the first to admit that Baron can be quite intense with his beliefs, but I didn't think he would be willing to take away a person's free will. None of us could've seen that coming."
Aragorn ponder his words for a moment before sighing. "You're right, Darren. I'm being too hard on myself."
Darren places a hand on his shoulder. "It's okay, it's natural to feel that way. But remember, you can't change the past, however, you can work towards a future where that shit don't happen again."
"Always the wise one," Aragorn joked, trying to dispell some of the tension.
Darrne cracked a light smile. "Hey man, I wouldn't be me if I don't drop a few words of wisdom here and there."
The two share a laugh.
"And always know how to lighten the mood." Aragorn said, flashing a grateful smile to Darren. "Thanks for this, Darren. You always have my gratitude."
"Man, don't sweat it," Darren gives him a dismissive wave. "That's what teammates are for. Now get some rest man, you look like you need it."
"So do you," Aragorn shot back.
The two share a laugh again before laying down in their bed and falling asleep.
Minako holds two pillows in her ears as she desperately try to go to sleep, but gotdamn, Kinoshita snores loud as hell.
'Out of all people, I had to be pair with her,' Minako thought with a groan.
Truth be told, Minako couldn't stand the brat as she always have something smart to say and she seems to have no sense of respect as given how she introduced to Jay-Jay...it wasn't the best way to introduce herself to a handsome Man like Jay-Jay.
'And yet, she don't see a problem with herself,' Minako thought, holding the pillows closer to ears, but sadly, it wasn't work.
"Ok, that it!" Minako shouted as she sits up from her bed and throw a pillow at Kinoshita's face.
It had no effect as Kinoshita is still sound asleep.
Minako frowns. 'Christ, this brat can probably sleep through a hurricane if she wanted to,'
With a sigh, Minako gets up from her bed and approaches Kinoshita.
She grabs the gyaru and begins to violently shake her.
Stirring Kinoshita awake.
"Hey! What the fuck gives?!" Kinoshita asked angrily in a groggy tone. "I was getting some good beauty sleep!"
"Well, your beauty sleep is ruining mine!" Minako shouted. "Do you have to snore so loud?"
Kinoshita rolls her eyes. "Well, I can't help how loud I snore! Try getting some earplugs! Maybe that help. Now if you excuse me, I have some beauty sleep to catch up on,"
However, a dark aura emanating from Minako.
"I don't have ear plugs," Minako said, her voice low and filled with malice.
Sadly for her, Kinoshita just snorted. "Well, that sounds like a personal problem. Now, leave me alone, you old hag."
Kinoshita turns to her side and quickly drifted off to sleep.
"This fucking brat," Minako muttered before going back to her bed to try to go to sleep.
Fortunately, she manages to do so as Kinoshita's snoring noise lower and Minako slowly drifts to sleep.
"So Aragorn's group decided to stay in the village?" Kuroko asked Reisa, who is currently going over paperwork.
"Yes, so we have no need to fret about them." Reisa answered, not taking her eyes off the paperwork.
A sigh of relief escapes Kuroko's lips. "Thank God, I was starting to get worry about them."
Reisa didn't respond as she was hyper focused on the paperwork.
It was an awkward silence between the two. Kuroko has never been close to Reisa as the two were polar opposites as Kuroko was chirpy and outgoing while Reisa was calm and reserved, but Kuroko couldn't help, but feel bad for Reisa and she wants to help Reisa move. Kuroko has always been good at reading people's emotions and deciphering their relationships with other people from their interactions with each other. Kuroko quickly figured out that Reisa was in love with Baron. The way she looked at him, the way she light up when he enters the room or when his name is mention in a conversation, and the way she talked about him. It's all match of a person deeply in love. Naturally, Kuroko wanted to hook the two together, but she didn't know how as she wasn't particulary close with Baron or Reisa, but hey, it's the the thought that counts!
"So need any help with those documents?" Kuroko questioned, breaking the awkward silence.
"No, I don't need any help," Reisa answered. "Your duty is done here, I suggest you head home as there isn't much to do here."
"And there ain't much to do at home either," Kuroko retorted with a hint of annoyance. "Look Reisa, I know we ain't the closest, but I just want to help you."
Reisa looks up from the paperwork to look at her. "Why the sudden interest? We've never been close with each other, so why go out of your way to help me?"
"I know about your feelings for Baron," Kuroko confessed, earning a small grasp from Reisa. "I admit you hide them well, but with careful observation, I deduced that you were in love with him."
Reisa looks at Kuroko for a second before she crack an impressed smile. "Color me impressed, I admit I underestimated you, but you're smarter than you let on,"
"Aww, that's high praise coming from you," Kuroko smiled with a faint blush.
"And while I'm grateful for your offer to help, I don't need it," Reisa said firmly. "I know what I must do and that is to step up as a leader."
Kuroko's eyes went wide. "W-what?"
"You heard that right," Reisa says, putting her pen down and looking at the window. The blizzard is finally coming in hard. "Wallowing in self-pity isn't going to fix our issues. If we want this team to stay together, then we must face our problems head-on."
Kuroko was speechless for a second. "W-wow, you stepping up to be a leader? Well, that is an interesting development, well you have my support."
Reisa crack a small smile. "I appreciate the support,"
Just then, the office door was busted down and Mary rushed in with a panic expression.
"Guys, come quick, it's..." Mary tried to say but her breath got caught in her throat.
"Whoa, easy, Mary," Kuroko said, she takes Mary's hand and sat her down in a chair. "Calm down and take a deep breath. Now, tell us what is happening?"
Mary regains her composure. "It's Kaige! He manages to regain his strength and is down at Baron's cell, beating him. He is going to kill Baron! I tried to pull Kaige away from Baron, but he pushed me away!"
Kuroko's eyes went wide as Reisa's heart dropped and she immediately got up from her chair to head to the cell.
Kuroko and Mary immediately followed after her.
When they got to the cell, Kaige was holding Baron in the air. His fists bloodied and bruised.
"You will pay for what you did to me!" Kaige said through gritted teeth.
"Go on, do it!" Baron encouraged, a sick smile spread across his face. "Prove to me the monster you are!"
Kaige's anger flares. "I ain't the monster here! You took away my free will!" Kaige wails on Baron.
"Kaige, that's enough!" Reisa shouted as she leaped into the fray and tries to drag Kaige away from Baron.
Kaige sneered before pushing Reisa off of him. Kaige throws Baron to a wall before he begins to stomp on him.
Kuroko grabs Kaige's wrist and with surprising strength, she gets Kaige off of Baron and pushes him against the wall. "Easy Kaige, take a deep breathe,"
"Calm down? Calm down?!" Kaige repeated, his tone filled with rage. "How can I keep calm when I know this motherfucker is still living?! He took away my free will and y'all expect to roll over and let him live?!"
"We are not saying that," Mary spoke up, Kaige turns his attention to her. "We still figuring out his punishment."
"I already figured out his punishment," Kaige snarled. "That is a death to my hands."
"Wait, Kaige please let's talk about this," Reisa said, tears threaten to fall out of her eyes. "I'm sure we can reach a middle ground here."
Kaige wasn't listening as he picks up Baron again.
Kuroko tries to drag him away again, but he wasn't bulging.
"Come on, do it," Baron sneered. "Kill me, you don't have the balls to do it, just like you didn't have the balls to fight back against my mind control. You'll always be my bitch!"
Kaige eyes flicker in unbridled rage as he snap Baron's neck, killing him instantly. "Your death was too quick for me, but I know Hell will have fun with you."
Kaige throw Baron's lifeless body and he slumped down to the bed. A sigh of exhaustion escapes Kaige's lips as his rage subside.
Silence fills the room as Kuroko, Reisa, and Mary couldn't believe their eyes. Now, the three were no strangers to death as they have blood on their hands, but they never thought they would see someone would kill their former leader.
Reisa approaches Baron's body. "Baron?" She softly calls out as she kneeled down. "Baron?" She shakes his body, not believing that he is dead. "Come on come on, wake up." She shakes his body as she begins to sob.
Kaige's anger flared at Reisa, but he sighs as he can't blame the woman as Baron was their leader, so he couldn't blame her for feeling some type of way about Baron's death.
"Kaige, how you feeling?" Mary asked, her voice filled with concern.
"Honestly? Relieved," Kaige answered honestly. "Like I don't have to worry about him getting in my head again."
"I see," Mary nods. Mary is conflicted how to feel about this. Baron was their leader, someone they used to believe in, however, he revealed to be a monster. She wanted to scold Kaige for killing Baron, but she didn't as she wasn't the one that was under Baron's mind control.
Kuroko feels relieved. She kinda hated feeling like that, but Baron was willing to mind control one of their allies. 'He would've no qualm about mind control my teammates. So good riddance to that scumbag.'
"Well, shit, this situation got more complicated," Kuroko pointed out. "There is no telling how they would react to this."
"Let them feel how they feel," Kaige snarled. "I did what I have to do and now, we don't have to worry about him trying to put me under his control."
"A question for you, Kaige," Mary spoke up, catching Kaige's attention. "When he mind control you, what did he have you do?"
Kaige looks at her for a second before he clenches his fist in anger. "Terrible things. Things that he kept secret from y'all as he knew that the Warriors wouldn't approve of it."
Kuroko's curiosity piquerd. "How terrible are we talking?"
"Y'all remember the The Order of the Spiritual Coin?" Kaige questioned, everyone nods. "Well after y'all defeated them and they promised y'all to atone for their misdeeds...Baron didn't trust them and he ordered me to kill them."
Mary is taken back by the news as she step back before falling on her butt while Kuroko gasps and her mouth agape in horror.
"So Baron is the reason why their kids are orphans?" Mary questioned, her tone filled with sadness and shock.
Kaige solemnly nods. "Sadly, yes."
"I...I didn't know we were working with a monster," Kuroko said, her teeth gritted and she looks at Kaige with an apologetic look. "Kaige...I'm sorry that we didn't pick up on Baron's red flags sooner."
"Don't apologize for his actions," Kaige said firmly. "It's not like y'all was in on it, he kept that shit hidden away from his team. He knew y'all wouldn't approve of it. And look where it got him, dead and hopefully forgotten after some time passed."
Reisa wipes her tears away and she shot an unreadable look at Kaige. She wanted to say something, but her words got caught in her throat. She got up and leave the room as Baron's death is affecting her.
Kaige's gaze linger on Reisa's retreating form. "The fuck is her deal?"
"She is in love with Baron." Mary answered.
Kaige raised a brow at this while Kuroko looked at her with shock.
"Hmm, interesting," Kaige said before sighing. "So what y'all going to do with me now?"
Kuroko and Mary exchange confused glaces with each other before turning to Kaige.
"Umm...nothing?" Kuroko answered, taken back by his question.
"What do you want to do?" Mary asked.
Kaige tilts his head in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"Well, our late leader did take away your free will," Mary begin to explain. "And given how the Warriors are associated with him...we will understand that you want nothing to with us and want to get far away from here as this base is a source of your trauma."
Kaige ponder the question. He didn't think that far ahead as his main goal was getting revenge on Baron. Now that he did that... "I just want to take a break from all this, I'm not quitting the Warriors completely as I still do need to atone for my misdeeds, but I need a break so I can process this situation and hopefully recover lost pieces of myself."
Kuroko nods in understanding. "We always be here for you if you ever need an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on."
Kaige nods before walking out of the room.
Mary sighs as she rubs her temples. "Man, what a mess we find ourselves in. How are we going to explain this to our team?"
"Beats me," Kuroko said, shrugging her shoulders. "Even if we lie, I'm sure the Warriors aren't going to buy it."
"I wasn't planning on lying," Mary said, shooting Kuroko a glare. "Lying will only make the situation worse. We need to come out and tell the truth about what happen with Baron."
"Hey, I just said that lying wouldn't help," Kuroko said defensively.
"Oh, sorry about that, it just my mind is racing with the recupissons of this," Mary said, her shoulders slumped in defeat. "I'm just tired from all this toxicity."
Kuroko places a her on Mary's shoulder. "I get it, because I'm tired of the toxicity of this place as well. It's starting to feel like a drag to be here, you know,"
"Yeah, I get it," Mary nods in agreement. "Look, how about we discuss this later? We clearly ain't in the headspace to talk about this."
"Fine with me," Kuroko nods. "Get some rest, Mary."
"You too, Kuroko," Mary said.
The two went their separate, their thoughts plagued about their futures.
Jay-Jay is now shadowboxing in the blizzard.
He is currently shirtless, not at effected by the blizzard as His fists and feet danced around the snow, bending reality with it. His shadowboxing form is perfect as it look like He was dancing weather thn fighting.
Jay-Jay kicks up the speed as He begins to move so fast that His punches and kicks leaves trails of cosmic fire.
"Jay-Jay, is that You?" A feminine voice called out
Jay-Jay turns and sees Axelle approaching Him with a concern gaze.
"Yes, it's Me," Jay-Jay answered. "You should head back inside Axelle. This blizzard is harsh."
"I...I s...should s...say the s...same to you!" Axelle said between her shivers. "You're going to get sick if You stay out here, especially with You being shirtless!" Axelle blushes as she look at Jay-Jay's physique and she got to say, Jay-Jay has the most impressive physique she has ever seen.
Jay-Jay flashes her an assuring smile. "I appreciate the concern, but don't worry about Me, Axelle. The cold don't bother Me."
"Y...You s...sure?" Axelle questioned, making sure that Jay-Jay is fine with being out here.
"I'm sure, Axelle," Jay-Jay answered.
Axelle nods. "O...okay, b...but when Y...You are done, meet me in my office, I have an important matter to discuss with You."
Jay-Jay nods. "I be there,"
Axelle smiles before turning on her heel and ran to her cabin.
Jay-Jay went back into shadowboxing to pass the time.
After a couple of minutes, Jay-Jay got done shadowboxing and put His tank top back on before going to Axelle's office.
He opens the door and sees Axelle sitting on her couch, drinking some hot cocoa.
Axelle notices the door open and sees Jay-Jay walking towards her.
"Ah, welcome to my humble abode, Jay-Jay," Axelle presently as she hastily got off the couch and bow her head. "Don't mind the mess, I been so busy with being the village's leader that I haven't have time to clean my house."
Jay-Jay gives her a dismissive wave. "Oh, it's fun Axelle. Leadership is a heavy burden to bear after all,"
"That it is," Axelle said with a small smile. "Please have a seat and get comfortable."
Jay-Jay nods as He sat down on Axelle's couch.
Axelle sits beside Him.
"Now, that I have You here, I have a request for You that requires Your expertise," Axelle said.
"Lay it on Me," Jay-Jay said, ready for anything she got.
Axelle sips her hot cocoa before putting the cup down. "It's about Vagrir, I'm going to need You to trail him for a couple of days."
