Chapter 12: Spiraling Wrath

AN: This will be the first chapter of the Spiral Surge Arc. One I've been looking forward to writing. I've spent the last 3 years crafting my original character. I hope this chapter was worth the wait. It is probably my longest one yet.

Thank you for your continued and new support! Enjoy!

Flashback

Gunfire resounded in the area surrounding the bank as police officers and robbers were locked in a firefight. The police had been the first ones on the scene this afternoon. One of the bank employees had been quick to hit the alarm. The officers pulled up as some men were already seen loading money bags into their get-away van. They tried to get the criminals to stand down, but their cohorts emerged from the bank with assault rifles.

Now the officers were taking cover behind their vehicles and firing shots intermittently. Luckily, the bystanders in the area had already run off or taken cover in a building. One of the officers radioed for any nearby pro heroes for assistance. Their goal right now was to stall until someone arrived. The wait time usually wasn't long in this area so they weren't being too brazen with their shots. They were more worried about the hostages inside the bank, which they made sure to mention on the radio. The robbers hadn't tried to leverage them yet.

The officers' alertness rose when they saw another person charge out of the bank. He had an odd-looking protrusion on his head that was bulging at the base and putting out smoke at the top.

It looked like a volcano!

A blitz of glowing red projectiles shot out of his head into the blue sky. The officers were momentarily stunned as they realized what they were.

"Take cover!" One of the officers yelled in terror.

The blue-uniformed men scrambled towards the closest buildings. It was the only way to shield them from the lava chunks that were about to descend upon them. They prayed that the structures were strong enough to protect them plus the civilians already hiding inside.

With their risky distraction successful, the masked men shoved themselves quickly to avoid the incoming barrage.

"Come on! Come on! We've only got a few seconds!" The driver shouted while starting the van. He quickly slammed on the pedal as the last guy slammed his door shut.

As they sped away, the passengers looked behind them while the driver focused on the road, The meteors had reached their apex in the sky and began falling.

"Woo Hoo! This is gonna be good!" One of them shouted gleefully waiting for the upcoming destruction.

"Wait! What's that!" Another exclaimed and pointed.

Everyone, including the driver, looked at where he was pointing.

Their bones became rigid.

The civilians taking shelter inside the buildings had seen the meteors fly out of the man's head. Some screamed in horror and attempted to run but were restrained by the others being told that it was pointless. Most people dove under tables and counters for any extra cover. Others simply crouched down and put their hands over their heads as they had practiced for disaster drills in school. They squeezed their eyes shut waiting for the loud, banging impacts.

People jolted as the noise finally came. It wasn't what they were expecting though. It was like air being blasted off straight above them. People opened their eyes but had to immediately squint them shut again. The area outside was bathed in a purple shimmering light. It lasted for about five seconds.

Then the area went quiet. Some people were confused, but the ones who realized what happened breathed a sigh of relief. Some actually became excited and rushed out the doors to see the aftermath. They looked above them and saw not meteors, but tiny specks of ash rain down on them.

"Look! Look! Look!" A young girl pointed towards the sky. Everyone snapped their heads in that direction to see a purple object streak through the air in the direction the robbers went.

"Faster! You dumbass!" The robber riding shotgun shouted at the driver while banging on the armrest. The others in the back were haphazardly trying to reload their guns.

"Do you see all these cars in front of me?!" The driver was on high alert weaving between cars trying desperately to get off this busy street.

"Come on! We just need to get to the highway! We're almost—"

Everyone jerked forward as something struck the van from behind. It felt like the rear wheels were skidding on the ground. The driver yelled as he now had no control over the vehicle. The other criminals joined as they were about to run over some pedestrians in a crosswalk. For a moment they saw the mortal terror on the citizens' faces.

Then they were jerked forward again. This time coming to a complete, sudden stop causing the backseat people to fall over each other. The two up front merely groaned in pain against their seatbelts. They slowly looked up and found dark purple eyes staring back.

Everyone in the car became frozen in place.

A woman wearing an armored combat suit was standing in front of the van. Her right hand was on the front of the van. That appears to be what had stopped it. The woman appeared unbothered by the impact though. In fact, the front of the van was crunched from where her palm had stuck it. Both her hands were covered in metallic gloves with gauntlets on her lower arms. The tips of her gloved hands were sharpened to look like claws. The rest of her outfit consisted of metal boots and a black undersuit. The finishing touch was the black metal mask covering the lower half of her face. It was connected to the black undersuit covering her neck. The only part of her body exposed was the top half of her head. She had raven-black hair going down to her upper back.

"Don't move." She said clearly through the mouthpiece. The robbers got the message.

The intimidating woman turned her head to check on the pedestrians behind her. A mother was clutching her daughter on the ground in the crosswalk. They had likely collapsed from the overwhelming fear of the close impact. Though, they might have also been a little scared of the hero looking back at them. Most people would feel relief and joy upon being rescued by a pro hero. This hero in particular did not give off a friendly aura though. She still had the same menacing gaze on her face.

"Are you hurt?" She merely said in a voice devoid of emotion. Like she was merely asking because it was her job.

"N-n-no…..W-w-we're ok." The mom stuttered in between gasps of air trying to calm herself.

"Just keep taking deep breaths. You're safe now."

One of the robbers thought he could catch her off guard while she was looking away. Though the second he reached for his gun, the door next to him was ripped open.

"Ahh!" The robber cried out before he was knocked out by a swift punch. The others didn't have time to react as they were also knocked out by a series of precise punches and kicks.

"I was hoping for more of a challenge." The powerful woman said while looking over her handiwork.

"Stay back or they're dead!"

The police officers were standing inside the bank with their guns holstered. They cursed themselves for letting their guards down. It turns out not all the robbers had made it into the van.

After the hero went to chase after the van, the police exited the buildings to check on the civilians. Some of them went to the bank to check on the people inside. They looked in horror as they saw two more robbers each clutching a person and pressing a gun to their head. Their other arms each held small duffel bags of money. Other bank customers and employees watched the stand-off in fear with their hands up.

"Our back-stabbing crew may have ditched us, but we're not leaving empty-handed! Just let us leave and we'll let them go!"

Both the hostages whimpered as the guns were pressed harder into their temples.

The police captain sighed. "Stand down men. Let them pass." He realized it would be best to play along for now. The other officers did as they were told without complaint. They kept their guns holstered and unblocked the entrance to the bank.

"Not good enough! Drop your guns and kick them towards us!"

The officers looked hesitant but did as they were told.

"Ok. Now put your hands up and stay still." The robber in charge spoke at a normal volume now that the cops were cooperating.

Both robbers moved their guns to the backs of the hostages and nudged them to start moving. They began walking slowly. True to their word the cops let them pass. The hostages looked at the officers pleadingly, but their faces were neutral.

As the robbers exited the bank, the citizens outside were also standing still and staying out of their way. They had heard the commotion going on inside the bank.

Now the robbers just needed someone out here to give them their car. Before they could say anything though, something caught their attention down the street.

Their getaway van from earlier was flying towards them! No. Someone was carrying it! The purple energy flowing below the van filled the men in on who it was.

They gulped and gripped the hostages harder as the woman and their van came upon the scene.

"S-s-stop right there, hero!" The man cursed in his head for his strained nerves showing.

The woman quickly understood the situation and stopped in mid-air. She was still holding the van with ease while the energy spiraling below her boots kept her afloat.

The robbers were relieved that their van was back, but they saw that the front end was now damaged. Even so, it still had most of the money in it.

"Put the van down gently!"

The woman looked unworried as she slowly descended to the ground and placed the van down with a light thud. Then, she put her arms up like everybody else there.

"Ok. Now move away from the van."

The woman side-stepped away while keeping her eyes on the villains.

The criminal that had been doing all of the talking leaned towards his partner. "I'll get the money while you get a car from one of these people." He whispered.

"Ok." The other man responded quickly trying not to show how frightened he was.

"Hero! Stay right where you are while I collect our money!"

The masked lady merely nodded.

The robber who just spoke nudged his hostage forward again. As they were walking away from the other duo, a thought occurred to him. 'Why is only she here?'

The other robber turned his body towards the bystanders while keeping his hostage in the same position. "Ok, which one of you has-

"Bang"

A bullet zipped through the robber's shoulder. The force behind it caused the man to be flung back making him lose his hold on the hostage.

At the same time, a dark figure emerged from the ground behind the other robber and quickly ripped his gun-wielding away from the hostage.

"Ah!" The villain cried out as the mysterious being twisted his wrist causing him to release the pistol.

The purple-haired hero had been anticipating this. During this whole stand-off, she was coordinating with her team unknowingly via a microphone in her facemask and an earpiece that was hidden by her long hair. She launched herself at the hostage that had been shot, purple energy propelling her forward. Once she was in front of him, she pointed her palm at his body and fired a spiraling energy blast. He was flung even further and crashed into the wall of the bank. He sagged to the ground in defeat. The side of his shoulder was bleeding, but not much. Apparently, the bullet merely grazed him.

The man winced in pain as he looked around. In three seconds, he went from standing with the hostage to being shot and blasted into a wall. His eyes widened upon seeing an object sticking out of the wall to his left. It was the bullet that had struck him. It wasn't a normal bullet though. It appeared to be made of twirled strands of indigo and pink material.

"I wouldn't move if I were you, pal."

The robber jerked as a voice came from the bullet.

A cheering crowd had formed around the crime scene. The robbers in the van were still unconscious while the police cuffed them. The robber blown into the wall surrendered easily and was cuffed while they tended to his wound. The last robber had been tied up by the man who had emerged from the ground.

That man was dressed entirely in black clothes reminiscent of Japanese shinobi. His whole body was covered except for his eyes. He wore pouches on his belt with equipment including the wire he tied the villain with. This was the pro hero known as Shadowburst. His quirk, Shadewalker allows him to pass through shadows and re-appear from other shadows. The sun had been shining at the right angle on that robber to cast a big shadow behind him.

Shadowburst started walking over to his boss now confident that the police could handle the rest.

"We love you Spiral!"

"Spiral Surge! Over here!"

"I saw what you did to those meteors!"

"You're such a badass!"

The ninja hero sighed and smiled. It was tough being a sidekick. He knew a hero shouldn't demand praise, but it was annoying when other heroes were getting it. Especially since that hero couldn't care less about it. He looked at the hero addressed as Spiral Surge and found her leaning against a wall as far away from the crowd as possible. Her arms were crossed as she looked everywhere except the fans.

Yes. The hero, Spiral Surge did give off an intimidating aura, but she still had plenty of fans. It was hard not to when you were the Number Two Hero. Her quirk, Surge was quite powerful. It allowed her to release purple spiraling energy from her body. It can be used for firing energy blasts, flying, and accelerating herself. Her quirk also gave her super-human strength.

Even if she wasn't eager to sign autographs, a lot of fans loved the whole 'I'm too cool for that' shtick she had going on. People also admired that she was just a hero there to do her job. She wasn't in it for the praise. Which is why her sidekicks didn't hold a grudge against her.

The hero in discussion turned her eyes to her sidekick as he walked towards her.

"Well done, Shadowburst." She spoke to her subordinate through her mask.

The ninja smiled under his mask. He bowed towards the woman. "Thank you, Spiral."

"Omg look up there!" Another crazed fan shouted and pointed towards the sky. "It's Ryukyu!"

All the fans turned in that direction. Some screamed and others awed at the hero descending from the bright sky in her dragon form. Her massive wings kicked up some wind as she came in for a landing. Everyone quickly gave her some space. Once she was on the ground though, police had to hold the crowd back while they all tried to touch her.

Ryukyu's quirk, Dragon allowed her to turn into a large, winged dragon with pale gray scales. Her human skin was still visible on her face, neck, and below her upper arms. The claws on her right hand were an extra accessory used for battle. They were longer and more durable than her regular dragon claws. Before she changed back to her human form, she had to let her passenger down.

The crowd cheers got even louder.

A woman clad in a black bodysuit stood up from Ryukyu's back and proceeded to climb down. She looked to be in her late 30s similar to Spiral Surge. Another feature they had in common was purple eyes. She had long indigo-colored hair with pink streaks wrapped in a ponytail. The same pattern as the bullet that shot the robber. Another prominent feature was the blue scouter over her right eye. The rest of her outfit consisted of metal plates under her chest, knee guards, a bulky red utility belt, a black tactical backpack, and black combat boots. Her whole attire looked like something you'd see a military sniper wear.

"Lady Nagant!"

"That was so cool how you rescued that hostage!"

"You're awesome!"

The hero, now revealed to be Lady Nagant looked at the crowd with a neutral expression. True to her attire, she had been the one to shoot that robber from a rooftop three kilometers away. Her quirk, Rifle allows her to extend an organic rifle from her elbow and load bullets through her hand. The bullets are made from the colored fibers from her hair which takes on the consistency of epoxy putty when separated from her head. This allows her to mold her hair into whatever shape she wants and then it hardens in seconds. She carries them in the canisters on her utility belt.

Another thing she had in common with Spiral was the disinterest in fanfare. At least that's how she used to be months prior when she had joined Spiral Surge's agency. Right now though, she felt indulging them.

The crowd got even louder as she smiled slightly and started waving at them. At the same time, Ryukyu transformed back into her human form. The most amazing thing was her outfit changed size with her. The only thing she didn't keep on her dragon form were her boots. So, at the moment she was barefoot.

"Ahem!" The short blonde cleared her throat while she attached her extra claws to the right side of her head.

The sniper hero rolled her eyes and slung her backpack off. She unzipped it to take out Ryukyu's boots. "I don't see why our costume designer can't make you boots for when you go all dragon mode," Nagant said as she tossed them to the much younger woman.

Ryukyu caught them easily and spoke while she quickly put them on. "I'm sure he can, but they would get in the way of my rear claws. Way too impractical. I feel carrying my boots is a small price for all the rides I give you."

Nagant smirked. "I wouldn't complain as much if he were to make you a saddle."

The headband-wearing woman shot up after finishing with her boots and got in the older woman's face. "I'll bite you in half." She spoke quietly while glaring with her draconian eyes.

Nagant kept smirking not feeling intimidated by the less-experienced hero. "You'd have to get close to me first. Too bad you can't breathe fire like an actual dragon."

Ryukyu smirked back. "Too bad you can't fly."

"Touché." The sniper actually let out a light giggle. She can't remember the last time she laughed. Back when she was working for the Hero Safety Commission she was always on solo missions. She never had teammates that she could banter with like right now.

Ryukyu was taken aback by Nagant's reaction. The veteran hero was normally so serious like Spiral. It made the young hero happy to see her actually loosen up. Ryukyu actually started giggling herself. She wasn't going to start full-on laughing though. Even she had a badass reputation she wanted to keep like the other two women.

"Spiral, please! Tell us about your relationship with All Might!"

The two ladies ceased their giggling and turned their direction to the voice that wasn't cheering.

'Oh no.'

'Aw crap'

The female heroes looked in dismay as a female reporter broke through the edge of the crowd next to the buildings. Once free, she ran frantically towards Spiral Surge with a cameraman desperately trying to keep up.

"We're dying to know! Did you have an affair with All Might?! Is All Might the real father of your child?! Will you show us your child?! We need to see the future Symbol of Peace!" She fired off questions crazily while sprinting. Before she could make it to Spiral though, the hero shot straight into the.

"For the love of-! Not again! You have to say something!" The crazed reporter shouted after Spiral Surge and slumped to the ground in defeat.

The two ladies watching this scene sighed at the reporter's behavior.

Spiral Surge landed on a tall building after flying for about a minute. She just needed to get far away from that crowd and find a rooftop in a less busy part of town.

She sat down on the stone wall along the edge of the roof letting her legs dangle. She looked out at the city not really paying attention to the view. She let out a breath through her mask.

This has been a routine for years now. It started around the time Nejire was born. The media figured out that she had a child due to her long absence. Why else would a female hero be gone for about 9 months? Then there was the juicy gossip spread here and there from some of Spiral's former classmates. The heroes that had attended UA at the same time as her mentioned how she and All Might were constantly together.

Spiral gripped the ledge. Once the media had learned that information, they went nuts. Rumors started forming. The main one being that All Might was the father of her child. Which is one of the reasons she kept Nejire hidden from the public. Then again, that probably just made things worse. Her child was a mystery to the media making them want to know even more. A child birthed from the two strongest heroes in Japan! How could they not want to know who it is?!

The masked woman scoffed. It irritated her to no end that the media was only interested in confirming those rumors. That was the reason she refused to answer any of their questions. Every time she denied the rumors and insisted All Might was not the father, they wouldn't believe her. It was like something they desperately wanted to be true.

The hero's alertness went up when she heard something heading her way. It went back down quickly though. She sighed as she had already had an idea what it was. She didn't even bother turning around as she heard it land on the rooftop.

"So, you finally stopped running, you arrogant bitch." A gruff man spoke venomously.

"I don't do autographs, pal," Spiral said not intimidated in the slightest. She could feel the temperature from behind her get warmer.

"You think you're hot shit because you took the Number Two spot from me. Think again!"

Spiral rolled her eyes and finally decided to turn her body around to face the angry man. She didn't bother standing up though. She looked lazily at the large, muscular man bathed in flames. The main part of his outfit was a navy turquoise bodysuit. The rest included long boots that were completely ablaze, white bracers on his lower arms styled in a cage pattern, and a blue belt with a pouch on either side.

This was the hero known as Endeavor.

"I'm sorry, sir. I think you're confusing me with someone who gives a flying fuck." She said in a sickly-sweet voice which was so unlike the black-haired hero.

Endeavor gritted his teeth and looked down at the woman in disgust. "You think this is funny! I would have handled those bank robbers easily if you hadn't gotten there before me! Don't think for a second that you're stronger than me!" The fiery hero shouted in fury.

Spiral Surge crossed one leg over the other and let her chin rest on her right palm. "I've been stronger than you ever since I curb-stomped your ass at UA."

Endeavor's face turned red and he gritted his teeth further. He had also been a student at UA. However, he was already a second year when Spiral Surge and All Might began as first years. At that point, Endeavor had built up quite a reputation for himself. His quirk, Hellflame allowed him to generate and manipulate fire at will. He had a powerful quirk and was quite skilled at physical combat as well. He was the tallest out of his class standing at 6 feet and 2 inches. He had a bulky physique as well. He became the Top Dog of his class after he won the Sports Festival his first year. He was the equivalent of the high school Football Star you'd see in America. At least from a time when football was still relevant. He had many friends and admirers. Girls constantly fawned over him.

He was picky though. He didn't just want any girl. He wanted a girl with a powerful quirk that would give him a powerful child. He needed to ensure that he left a proper legacy behind. It was hard finding girls with strong quirks though. None of the ones in his class seemed good enough. Then, he heard people talking about the powerful first-year girl. Her quirk let her blast spiraling purple energy. The girl who fought like a feral animal and came in first during the entrance exam. The girl who would glare at everyone, except the boy that was always at her side.

Yes. She would do. Endeavor didn't care if that blond, lanky boy was her boyfriend. She would become his.

One day, Endeavor finally approached her at lunch. The blond boy sitting next to her gasped as Endeavor grabbed her shoulder and bent down to get in her face. The nearby students gasped as well when the older boy suggested the two of them fool around.

Endeavor spent the next month in a hospital bed.

"That was over two decades ago!" Endeavor shouted as his eyes nearly popped out of his skull. After that incident, any popularity Endeavor had was gone. UA considered expelling Spiral Surge, but her parental guardian had convinced them to merely suspend her. It had helped that she had a rough past. Afterwards, Spiral Surge became the Top Dog of the school. Even if she didn't care about making friends or popularity. A lot of kids thought that made her even cooler. She was especially adored by the other girls. They couldn't believe she had utterly beaten the crap out of the most popular boy in school.

She shocked them even further by becoming the first girl at UA to win the Sports Festival. Hero agencies were knocking each other over to get their hands on her. She even won it in her second year! She only managed to lose in her third when All Might had finally bested her. All three years were Spiral Surge vs All Might in the finals.

Spiral smirked underneath her mask finally starting to enjoy herself. "Awww! Did I strike a nerve? You think that's ever going to be forgotten. I bet you the tale of your ass-kicking has been passed down by the students for decades. The current students probably know of your glorious day. Not to mention the students at other schools they've passed it along to. Shiketsu, Ketsubutsu, Isamu, and many more!" It was true. Spiral Surge was a legend at UA and at other hero schools. Even more than All Might. She'd never admit it, but she did take pride in her accomplishments. Also, she did love how they pissed off this flaming prick right now.

Endeavor's flames flared up even more. "You….You…You and your blond boyfriend have been little thorns in my side ever since I met you." Endeavor stomped his right foot and lurched forward with the nastiest look on his face. "You took everything from me! I was on top of the world until that day! I was on my path to becoming the best hero in Japan! Your very existence destroyed all my hopes and dreams! You still are! It was bad enough playing second banana to that bunny-eared goofball, but now you! It all comes back to you! The person that sent me into a downward spiral into the abyss. I trained and trained to be better than you and Fuck Might! If it weren't for your damned quirk, you'd still be behind me!" Endeavor breathed heavily as Spiral Surge merely stared back at him unfazed by his shouting.

"You think about me that much? That's sad. I've hardly given you much thought all these years."

Endeavor's head shot back and his face contorted into a mix of shock and anger. "Is this some joke to you!"

Spiral merely shrugged. "No….But you are."

"You're dead." Endeavor spoke quietly for the first time since he got there.

The black-haired hero finally stood up from her spot and crossed her arms. "You're welcome to try. I won't stop you."

The two heroes stood like that for a full minute. No one making a move. Flames continued to emanate from the enraged man while the calm woman stood relaxed without even activating her quirk.

"Grk." Endeavor calmed his flames and relaxed his posture.

Spiral smirked again. "Glad we're on the same page. I'll be on my way now." Spiral turned around preparing to take off.

"Don't think this is over. Even if I can't defeat you, my son will."

Spiral stopped with her legs bent. She kept her back to Endeavor though. "What did you say?"

Endeavor grinned smugly thinking he had the woman right where he wanted her. "I was going to save this until he was ready to face you, but you need to learn your place. You didn't think I stopped searching for a worthy woman to bear my child, did you? It took some time, but I eventually found a woman with the perfect quirk to go with mine. At that point, I was successful enough as a hero to persuade her family to have her marry me. After that, we straight to work on producing my perfect offspring. The first three kids were duds, but the fourth one finally gave me the results I wanted. A quirk that was a fusion of my Hellflame and my wife's Frost. Fire and ice working in tandem. He will grow up to be the hero that will defeat you as well as your child."

Purple energy began wafting off the raven-haired hero in spirals. Similar to how the flames came off Endeavor. The man smirked. "Aww! It is my turn to touch a nerve! You-."

Piercing, purple eyes were suddenly an inch from Endeavor's face.

Endeavor jolted from the sudden movement

. She had crossed the distance between them with speed that rivaled All Might's. Now she was the one with a look of pure hatred.

"Are you fucking telling me that you're passing on your petty goal to your child? That you had your wife bear four children for you just to get a stronger child. That you're raising your child simply to beat me. That your other three kids mean nothing to you. Am I hearing that right?"

Before Endeavor could process what she just said, Spiral started chuckling. Her chuckling grew louder until she was actually laughing. Not the happy kind though. The incredulous kind when you had just received the worst news in an ironic way. Like a doctor telling a newly engaged woman that she has cancer. Endeavor was too stunned by the bizarre scene to say anything. He had never heard this woman laugh in his life.

After her laughing spell, she quickly started speaking again. "It's funny really. Not because of how pathetic you are. But because my father was just like you. He saw my powerful quirk and treated me like his perfect little tool. He trained me tirelessly to become the strongest fighter there ever was. Wanna see what he left me?" She reached up and yanked down her collar.

Endeavor's eyes widened at what he witnessed. Around her entire neck was a gnarled, red, and black scar. The man now recalled how she had always kept her neck hidden back at UA.

"Ain't it pretty? A little gift from dear old dad. Ask me how I feel about him." She pulled her collar back up. Her body began shaking and emanating more energy. "He put me through so Hell so horrific, that I can still hear his voice in my head to this day. I haven't seen the man in decades and he still haunts me!

Endeavor squinted his eyes from the shining light her energy was putting off.

"My father's voice drives me so crazy that I scare my husband! So crazy that I almost hit my child! So crazy that I had to leave my family so I'd stop ruining their lives! SO CRAZY THAT I'M UNDER STRESS EVERY DAY OF MY FUCKING LIFE!" The ground cracked beneath her feet. Her eyes glowed purple.

Her voice went soft again. "All I want to do is be with my family….And you tell me that you treat your own family like tools to fulfill your selfish goals. Ahh!" Spiral suddenly clutched her head as if she was in pain. She started moving around and thrashing her body like something was attacking her from within.

Endeavor didn't know what to do. This furious woman who was just screaming at him was now having some sort of psychotic breakdown. His first instinct was to step forward.

Spiral shot her palm out towards him. "Stay away from me!" She bent her legs and shot off the roof in a flash of purple light. Endeavor was knocked back by the blast of spiraling energy. His back hit the hard concrete of the stone barrier jutting from the roof. He blinked his eyes open to see much of the roof turned into large, crumbling pieces with a small crater at the center. He looked at the horizon to see the woman already far away from him.

That whole exchange had lasted like a minute, but it had sent the man's mind into a frenzy. He had never seen the woman so passionate and furious. The worst part was that what she said actually resonated with him. He suddenly remembered his trembling wife being led into a hospital room and his son looking at him angrily with the left side of his face bandaged.

The man didn't even realize that his flames had gone out at some point.

Spiral Surge shot across the sky like a fighter jet with a tail of energy coming off her.

'Not here! I have to get to the ocean! I can't explode here!' She thought frantically.

After reaching the ocean she didn't stop until she was about twenty miles from the mainland. Her body was still overflowing with energy as she slowed to a halt. She floated over the blue sea glistening from the sunlight.

'I'm impressed. You really let him have it.' A voice spoke inside Spiral's head.

"No. Not now." She spoke out loud.

'Though I do say that was quite rude. That's really what you think of me? I swear children can be so ungrateful.'

"Stop." Spiral clutched her head again as more energy spiraled off her.

'Come now. I only did all that did to bring out your full potential.'

"Stop." Spiral clutched her head even harder.

'Also, while that man is deplorable do you really think you have the moral high ground to talk to him like that.'

"STOPPPPPPPPPPP!"

Her mask exploded as a blast of energy shot straight out of her mouth down towards the ocean. The spiraling blast kept widening until it was fifty feet in diameter. Seawater shot upward as the blast barreled through it. She kept screaming all the while.

The blast eventually died down as the energy stopped emanating from her body. She took rapid, short breaths now that her mask was destroyed. Water rained down as she looked at the water rushing back to the center of where her blast hit.

'That's my girl.'

AN: I'm so happy I finally got to write this chapter. Don't worry. Izuku will still be the main character of this story. I just want to have my own character play an important role too. It really makes this story my own and different from other MHA fanfics. Until next time.

Thanks for the read!
