I looked around at the many vehicles scattered around the edge of the forest near Marine's. I slid out grabbing my tin foiled wrapped plate as I watched Lewis drive up not far from me.

The mid day sun was strong but cloudy as he called my name while I headed his way with a smile unsure where to go.

"Oh what is in that?" He looked at my hands.

"Tiny taco's." I smiled and held up the large plate. He seemed interested.

I followed him through the open forest, the path seemed to have been cut but only enough to make through, normal grass was up to my knees. We paused as a bunny hopped passed and actually stopped for a second in the way and continued on.

Passing over a thin wooden bridge with nothing but a canyon was nerve wracking but the waterfall it sat in front of was beautiful.

Lewis left me the second he saw Marnie who smiled at him excited, I gave a small smile after him and looked around.

We were snuggled into the mountain with banners and so many flowers. A small wooden fence faced the largest cliff side staring into the ocean again. I paused and headed over just to stare at the amazing view and scary height.

The panic was ignored as I admired it all.

There was music coming from the other side of the clearing, older songs with no lyrics drifting into the endless view.

I headed to the large table of food where only Shane stood. He was filling up a plate of food, I watched him dip a chip in some red dip, he looked like he loved it before he started to wave at his mouth in pain, his eye's watering.

I smiled taking off the tin foil and placing down my food.

"I take it I wont try that one." I smiled at him, he looked almost sheepish as he grabbed more of a different red dip and walked off without a word, was he embarrassed I saw that? I looked around and grabbed my own plate heading straight for the freaking cheesecake.

"I just love flowers." I heard Sam's voice as he reached around me and grabbed a cupcake. "I admit it." And he walked off towards his friends one hand behind his head as he ate it making me laugh to myself when he looked back at me with that smile and nodded at me to join.

Once I grabbed all I wanted I headed over to them. I noticed the people my age were in the same outfit, other then Abigail. Then the few kids had there own similar outfits and the group of moms also wore dresses of similar looks.

"What is going on?" I looked them over and it nice to see Abigail in her normal outfit.

"It is a thing that they have made us do for my life, the kids and the mothers decided there own a few years ago." Sabastian spoke darkly. "Since I was kid they try and make this work but now we are adult's."

I looked at Shane who was also not dressed up.

Abigail sighed and spoke. "They made Elliott and Sam learn last year and it made almost a perfect number of people for our group." She looked around. "Shane wont do it and neither will I get into a fluffy blue dress but he is out so I am out and that is great." She smiled at Shane like she liked him for the first time.

"They probably know your not staying and never brought it up." Sam spoke. "Honestly, I kind of like it." Abi looked at him like he grew a second head.

"I don't." Sab spoke but he was doing it anyway. "Paired with Emily."

"So don't." Abi spoke.

"Maru will be mad if I cut off her friend, she loves this dance." He frowned. "When we used to get a long as kids she made me practice it all the time."

"Aw kind big brother." Abi smiled at him with love.

The kids were so fucking cute, then it was all of them and Abi stood next to me giggling and making fun of them all but she did it with the best lines so I laughed with her.

I wonder if my mom did this.

I kind of wanted to learn the dance.

The mothers dance was very Contemporary and well done.

When it was over it was a free for all to extremely old music but it was peaceful, nice and cute, slightly wishing for someone to dance with. I watched Lewis almost bow holding out his hand and Marie blushed excited taking it but then looked around worried.

I saw them has a hushed worried chat.

I stared but they did not notice me. They looked sad and stood around like she turned him down. What is up with them?

I mostly ate way to much food.

I was about to go home when Sam slid up beside me leaning backwards on the table with his arms crossed.

"You want to dance?" He smiled so sweetly.

I looked at the dance floor where a few moved around. I have never danced with a guy, a fear rocked me about doing it all wrong. I wanted to so bad and yet I could not speak a yes.

He laughed at me. "Oh come on." He grabbed my hand and I tossed my plate on the table and followed with no choice. I spotted Pam next to Gus with his drinks. She looked at us like we were some tea, her eye's scanning us in a rude way.

He spun me and we started to dance but it was not sexy or romantic the way he grabbed my hand and held it out the side, pressing his chest into my mine with his arm around my waist. We stomped around like stupid idiots and I was not afraid anymore as we moved hilariously and he took away all fear.

Once we stopped laughing it turned into a normal dance just swaying and he was easy to follow as we moved around, it was only a minute of dancing when I heard Abi. "I think Sam is getting high of mushrooms." It made us stop and look at her as she faked spinning around like a princess making me feel fear again.

I felt so awkward.

"The Taco's are great." I heard Penny yell to Maru who was moving towards her. They like my food?

"Oh ya, my food." I walked towards the table letting go of Sam. I looked back and we smiled at each other but it was in a kind, friendly way.

I was sitting in my chair on my porch wishing I brought that food home. I felt so out of place after Abi and did not stay long. My cat sitting my lap as I patted her and smoked with the best coffee.

Robins truck pulled up and I stood up peeking around my porch wondering why she was here and not at the flower dance still.

"Hey, hoping you were here." She got out of her truck. "I got this in the mail." She shook a small package at me. "Tomorrow I can fix the stairs." I smiled and nodded letting her into my home.

After an hour she left and I ran the water to fill the tub, hoping that for once the hot water stays hot enough to fill it. It was a decent sized bath, comfortable and deep. I was relaxing so happy when my phone wrung and cut off the music I had on.

I wiped my hand off leaned over and answered it.

"I had the worst day, Chelsey just would not shut up." My mom started ranting, I always find it funny when she say's people talk to much as she never shut's up. Half the time I can't get a word in because I 'interrupt her' but if I say nothing I say nothing.

Just like this conversation.

I got out the bath and wrapped a towel around me as I listened.

"So you got to be done soon." She stated.

"Oh, ah ya." I dropped my towel and walked around naked in the warm air. "I need internet here."

"Just take some picture's and ill post it." She went on how she found a site perfect for this without paying a realter. She said she knows the price as she knows the land and we would get so much money from it with the fixes I did.

I then stood there stark naked. Something I can not do so I started taking pictures making me feel more exposed even if no one could see me in them, making sure there was no reflection.

We could use the money.

Also, shopping!

I walked into the warm sun, my toes digging in the dirt. Summer was coming and I could feel it today. It was such a nice day when we just had that storm. I took more picture including a cute one of the cat on the rustic bed.

I wanted to decorate more as the pictures needed something but I talked myself out of it. I was nervous someone would show up but it was so free and warm and I really wanted a tan.

Spent the rest of the day cleaning all else that needed a clean. Finished the barn off when I tried to get my ATV into the back of my truck on my own and it was a mess. I dropped it almost hitting my foot and I know that would have broken it.

Using blanks of wood I got it in and drove to Sabastian's.

I was barely awake when Robin was at my door. I put on my dirtiest outfit and we got to pulling apart my steps and some railing as we are making them larger. She showed me how to use a saw, I was nervous but it was cool.

How to make a basic step sturdy and well done.

We worked for a bit when I went inside and got us some cold Soda. She was measuring but stopped to drink with me.

"Sabastian told me to tell you that it might take longer with your ATV, he knows only bikes."

"That is okay, I will pay him for even looking." I sat in my chair. "Would be cool to own a working one." It kind of gave me another thing to make my time here last longer.

She looked out to my farm sitting on my open porch with her drink. "Such a home." She spoke quietly. "Sometimes I worry about Sebastian. He doesn't have many friends, used to not have any. He doesn't really seem to care about his future very much."

I looked her over knowing his future, the city. Must not have told his mom.

My mom made a fuss about me being here for only a week before I left.

I lit a smoke and just listened. She looked at me smoking and shook her head.

"You all seem to do that." She frowned "I found an ashtray in Sebastian's room and it smelled really weird, must be a bad batch." I looked at her confused. A smelly smoke? It clicked in my head and I held back a laugh. "Should I be worried about it?" She looked at me as I almost spit out my drink and I tried to not smile.

"Naw, some smokes just stink."

"Ya? It was just different then normal." I could not stop the small smile on my face. She is such a mom, slightly sounding like mine. "I never touched the stuff." We sat quietly.

She looked around and sighed peacefully. "I would stay here for the summer if I could, look at this place." I nodded and I felt her words.

"Hey, did you ever know my mom?" I looked at her curious.

She got awkward and looked away. "Yes, I knew her but we were not friends."

"Oh?"

She handed me her drink. "I should get back to this, I am almost ready to start assembling it." I felt like I said something wrong. "One moment and it is on you. You are learning well, you might be able to use this for your own benefit."

I got excited to be taught by such an amazing women to the point I might gain some skills and do something like this one day. Maybe I should go to school for shit like this.

Took a while but we ended up sanding my whole deck and staining it to all look alike. After she left and they dried I sat down on them, more space and could fit a couple people now.

Sturdy and felt amazing I smiled and stared into the forest with happiness thinking ya, the summer here might be nice before I frowned, my mom will put it up the second I send her the pics. But ya, I can see why he never left this place.

I feel like I being torn between two places. I love the city, I love so much about it. I love my mom, I miss my computer. Might as well keep to the plan.

I sighed sadly and my heart hurt to put this up when it was in my family for so long.

I am an asshole to sell it.

The next morning I woke up with an idea. When I was ready and I knew the store was open I headed to Pierre's. Walking in he cheered my name with so much excitement and I was stunned.

He then bent down and held up a large package for me. "Its a little heavy." And slammed it on the counter. I got excited and thanked him.

A little heavy, it was more then a little heavy.

It made me want to do even more to the farm but that was why I was here. "I need to shop, can I leave it here for one moment." He nodded me. He was so odd when his wife was around but there was a weird way he talked to me when she was not. I could not place it.

I looked at the plant section, mostly seeds that I did not want as it would take a while to grow but it was mostly what was here for. I fell in love with a baby cherry tree, the leaves were adorable.

I googled the plants he had as I looked around trying to get an idea.

I saw him looking at me from time to time. It did not feel creepy, honestly a little sad and confused like I did not notice and when I looked at him he looked away.

Maybe because of where I was looking.

I found some Hosta's that needed love and decided to buy them all.

"Look at you." He smiled at me proud. I felt nice about that, like I finally did something right. I then drove to Jojamart looking for something specific.

I dug up the dirt along the front and side of my new porch leaving space to walk. I planted all the Hosta's along it and then the Caladium seeds I found that I might not be able to see how amazing they will look but already it looked great.

I placed down thin pieces of stone from in front of the plants down to the road out making a better path to walk on, mostly with Sam in mind. I cleared around the small pond down from the road out of my farm and cut as much grass as I could around the forest.

The cherry tree I placed next to the cabin in a small area that if done right could be a cute patio but that was not for me to do. I placed down the new black outside chairs I plan to take home and the small table tossing the half broken thing I been sitting on.

I lined the path to Shane's with my new box of solar powered lights I got in the mail. They were small glowing mushrooms. They were small and cute and may not be the brightest but they were so cute to me, it just made it perfect with my nickname.

I had enough to add a couple to the front of the cabin.

I accidently ordered way to much.

I felt proud as I stood there getting so much done in one day.

I stood in the middle loving what I changed today. I felt happy and sad at the same time and took some photo's of the sunset of my new front porch and walkway. Once the sun set a bit more I took a picture of the path to Shane's.

I sent them to my mom for her to change what was there before.

I sat watching the sunset with a coffee and the cat jumped on my lap. I pet her sad to not see her again one day and I did not want to leave. I almost cried wondering why I made it even more cozy that I don't want to leave.

At least the next person will keep the tree and the plants. A little piece of me left over along with whatever my grandfather did on his own as well.

The beach sand was in my shoes as I stared at the amazing sunset over the ocean. The wind was warm hitting us from behind and I took it in knowing I was going to be gone soon. Wanting to be on a boat out there for a minute.

I brought this up to Lewis and he rolled with it making it a whole town thing as I turned to the pile of wood surrounded by stone as others were filling the bonfire up with whatever they brought.

A bonfire on the beach.

Willy caught my attention tossing some weird shaped wood, Not sure why it looked a little phallic. Like a carved, you know.

"Look." Abigail yelled pulling me away. Her and Sab were walking towards the fire dragging a lot of wood. "Oh shit you have so much, this was a waste." I chuckled walking fast towards them.

"Nope the more the better." I yelled helping get it into the fire pit. "It needs to be spotted from space." She was so excited. "Okay I will need some kindle." I spoke to the few around me.

"I got plenty of used and crap notes from my book, that will catch quickly." Elliott spoke not far from me and ran off. Everyone was bringing something.

Gus brought stuff to sell but only soda and beer. I smiled as he set up.

Some kids played down the beach as we waited for night fall.

Lewis came and stood next to me. "We should do this every year."

"I have never done this before." I spoke standing up wiping my hands on my pants. "In the city there is no beach, you see it in movies and stuff and it always looked fun."

He was suddenly quiet, a small smile on his face as I turned to see where his eye's were and Marnie was coming our way dragging a broken chair with ease making me smile. "How about you go help her with that."

He looked at me and smiled. "Yes she looks like she needs help."

I was happy as people took up the area in there own groups.

"You are already changing the dynamic." I looked over at a pretty girl I had seen around but never met, the dark skinned beauty.

"Maru right?" I pointed and she nodded. I looked her over with her short bob, this girl has it all doesn't she, she dressed more like a farmer then me but man it was cute. "I am curious." I stared confused not understanding.

She gave me this knowing smile and walked off, I wanted to keep talking to her but Sam came running up beside me dragging large branches like the tore a ton off some tree.

I would not be surprised.

"This is going to rule." Sam spoke as he tossed in them in the pile. "So cool to do." He patted my shoulder and walked away with speed.

The air was getting cooler and the sun was starting to set as I walked over and purchased a beer. People paired off it was loud and quiet at the same time.

Sabastian was standing alone away from others so I moved to him.

I was so excited but could not think of a word to say. "So you can't do this in the city?" He asked.

I shook my head. "Some places you can have small fires but unless you have a large yard you just can't do this."

"Hmm."

"Watch out." Alex yelled, I turned in time to watch a football hit sab in the back of the head. I frowned as he grabbed his head. "Sorry man, got away from me." Alex said.

"It is fine." Sab always sounds so bored.

I grabbed the ball and tossed it back, he caught it with ease gave me a wink and moved to the girl's happy to talk to him. I saw Haley and Emily and some third girl I did not know.

Elliott came running towards me with a large garbage bin. "Here." Handed me a all the paper. "I had to make sure I don't burn anything good."

"I still need to read your story." I smiled looking at what he wrote on one.

"You still need to feed me eggs."

"Don't you want to save some of these?" I held it out a small sentence that needed some explaining but it was written well. "That is nice."

"Nope trash thoughts for the trash can."

"Alright, it's perfect." I smiled. "I will light it when the sun is gone."

I stood next to the two men just happy watching Clint toss more onto the fire, it was getting so large. I finished my beer and headed to get a new one, halfway there I took off my shoes and socks annoyed as they were thick with sand and ran up in bare feet.

"Thanks." I said as I gave Gus some cash.

"Beer please." A familiar voice came from behind me, I smiled turning to Shane, been a couple day's.

"Shane your here."

"Ya like I said, not stupid." He walked away. I smiled, that is Shane, he want's to be alone somewhere with his love. I don't think she is good enough for him.

"Ahh!" I heard a scream and I turned toward the water. "Get it off." Sam yelled as he swung his foot around, a large crab hung off of it. "My shoe." I laughed inside as I walked toward him with a little speed sipping my drink.

"How is it so big." I yelled getting close unsure how to help. I reached out to grab it but pulled my hand back when it snapped at me.

"Get it off Mushroom." He was yelling trying to kick it off.

Sabastian was there in a second and he quickly pulled it off tossing it into the ocean.

I stood up straight shocked and found that a little hot. He is so level headed that one.

"Well that works." Sam spoke patting his friend on his chest. "My man." He squatted down and inspected his new shoes. "Ah it is alright, good, let's start this thing." And he just walked off like nothing happened with his hands linked behind his head.

It took a minute to get it really light on fire as four of us tried different way's.

Alex walked over and balled up a few pages, lighting it and throwing it into the middle. We got it started in about three different places. Took a second to really light but then it roared so bright it was hard to look at.

Penny was with the kids as they made marshmallows with there really long sticks. Jas to afraid to get to close. I was with them for a minute making smores, the kids are cute but I am not a big kid person.

I backed up and stared up at the now dark sky and back to the fire sipping my drink glad to have this happen, enjoying the now cool wind off the ocean. I really did get a vacation.

I walked along the beach with my drink, the darkness never-ending, a noise made me jump and I watched as the dark man blended into the darkness moved his hand just in time to not be stepped on.

"Damn, where did you come from." I said down to him. Sab sipped his beer and nodded quietly. "This is nice." I looked around and then just sat down next to him.

"Pretty cool." He mumbled back.

"Ya, other then this I wanted to do that mudding thing."

"What?" He asked. I was about to explain but I could hear Abigail calling his name and he sighed.

"Don't want to talk to her?" I asked confused eying his dark face.

"She is nice, but, nevermind." He sipped his drink. I looked him over sadly. What does he think of her, what does she think of him? We never did have that girls night. I don't talk to any of them with real words. I know nothing.

"You are just friends?" I was so curious, by her reactions I thought, something.

"My only friend is Sam but I guess she could be, been around a lot last season or two, Sam has always been my only friend."

That made my heart hurt. Sam has only been here a few years, how does this awesome man have no friends? Then again I never had any real ones until high school myself. Those amazing people. Some are now literally country's away.

I hate the friends now, these guy's are cool. He looked away and I stared at him sadly. I want to be his friend, no wonder he is so amazing with no social life. I got excited to have him move to my city.

"Hey do you play online games?" I asked. He looked my way but then Abigail popped out of no where.

"There you are Sabby, I have been looking for both of you." She yelled so loudly. Sam, Alex and Emily followed her as they came and sat in the sand around us. "We are going to play truth or dare." She spoke up.

"I have not played that since I was a preteen." I spoke dreading it, it was nothing but kiss him or, who do you like and I don't miss it.

"Well you will enjoy it." She spoke proudly.

"I don't know." Sab spoke what I felt but the others talked us into it.

We played for a good ten minute's, beer can's accumulating in the circle between us.

"Sabastian." Alex spoke making the black boy's shoulder's drop. "Let the group pose you in an embarrassing position and take a picture."

Abigail and I stood up and started to pose him. His butt was sticking out as he bent forward and she put a finger in his mouth. "Okay, look sexy." She said when I gabbed one leg and held it out behind him as he could not hold it up. I made a peace sign leaning into the picture.

Everyone was laughing at him and then he fell over, I caught myself with a giggle and flopped back into the sand as he stopped his face from hitting the ground.

These guys play it right, it is just stupid shit and not so sexual and I really enjoyed it.

Sab's eye's landed on Sam. "Truth or dare?"

"Dare baby." His hands moved to the back of his head as sab glanced around the group. "What you got pussy."

"Change clothes with." He looked around. "Adalyn for three rounds." I was startled but it was interesting, I looked down at my outfit as he did. I had on stretchy pants and a loose top and a baggy sweater.

"Damn there goes this outfit." I mumbled as a joke. He pointed behind the cabin and we headed over that way. I felt like a preteen doing that closet thing in middle school. Nervous and innocent.

We hid behind Elliott's cabin as we got undressed. I am assuming he was not looking at me as I did not look at him, at least I hope so. Just to know I peeked but he was pulling his shirt over his head and my eye's wondered a little. I could not help but smile at the hotness and look away.

His pants were baggy and I had to hold them, the sweater and shirt was just fine.

"I feel like I am on display." Making me look at him and a hard snort came out as I looked away for a second. Yes my clothes were so small, it made Shane pop in my head and then I looked down without thought, but these covered him at least.

I gripped my shirt on him laughing to hard I bent over, he really looked ridiculous. He looked so funny to me.

"Stop laughing, I wont be able to go back out there." he whined.

"I can't. I just." I almost snorted. "It's just, okay sorry." I tried to get a hold of myself. "You look damn fine, let's go."

I picked up my sweater off the ground and handed it to him, it was a little tight as well. I smiled again and he glared at me and then that beautiful smile crossed his face. He stretched and flexed.

"I look better then you." He then walked passed me with so much confidence I don't know where he got it. I found it to funny I had to take more picture's.

"Mushroom." Abigail looked at me after me and Sam switched back. I stared at that smile on her face worried at what she will make me do. What is safer?

"Truth."

"Do you have a man back home?" She wiggled her eyebrows. "Fred?"

I was startled, really Fred? I shook my head. "Nope no one." She seemed so sad like she caught me in some hot tea but it turned out to be water.

"Alex." I spoke up as he has not gotten many.

"Dare."

"I dare you to pole dance with an imaginary pole."

"Oh I like it." Sam spoke as he leaned forward.

He got up and started to pretend to slid down it before he turned around and gave a failing twerk back up but it was hilarious to watch as he pretended to spin around it, we were all feeling the Alcohol by now.

"Damn how is he so good at that." I laughed out.

After a few more rounds I was starting to feel done, I think we all were.

"Adalyn." Abigail spoke

I felt brave. "Dare."

"Punch Alex." She stared at me with a crazy look in her eye but I hated that idea.

"Can I not." I looked at him, he had a face like it is fine, it wont hurt. "Well, I am a boxer so no." They looked at me shocked. "Ya, I have taken lessons since I was 16."

"Really? Then please no." He looked at her. "Pick something else." He sounded worried now.

She gave a creepy smile and shook her head, so I got on my knees slightly crawling over and lightly hit him in the leg. "There."

"But." She stuttered.

"You did not explain how." I said making her cross her arms and pout.

"Nice." Sam said.

Was not just us but we drank Gus out of all he brought. Can's scattered the beach. We all just laid on the beach watching the star's. Alex disappeared and we all seemed just asleep.

The fire was getting low but still roared.

"You ever just think about how many alien worlds are out there?" Sam asked as he was leaning back on his elbows and staring at the cloudless sky.

"Ya." Abigail said as we all looked up.

"I don't know." Emily yawned out and rolled over.

"I am sure there is many." Sab spoke back "There has to be."

"But they could have diamonds for rain or they could swim in lava." I spoke up making them all make noises, the night was almost over and I needed to get my sleepy ass home.

"That is stupid, no they can't." Abi spoke with attitude.

"No she is right." Sab spoke up. "Lightning storms make it rain diamonds on Saturn and Jupiter, it is a thing."

"Oh." She looked at me differently.

I was almost asleep at the wheel heading home, I was so happy to lay down in my bed I almost did not change but when I took off my shirt it rained sand so I had to change.
