Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 29 of Iron Maiden. I want to thank those who have left reviews for this story. It truly does mean a lot to me that you guys are enjoying this story. I have tried my best with writing Iron Man 2, but have had a little bit of trouble. It kind of makes it hard when it is my least favorite movie out of the marvel films. I hope that you guys enjoy this chapter. Without further ado Chapter 29. ENJOY!
Chapter 29
Abigail came into the same area of the plane that Pepper was on who was busy watching the news. She narrowed her eyes, noticing that she was listening to what Senator Stern was saying there.
"It's just unbelievable. It proves that the genie is out of the bottle and this man has no idea what he's doing. He thinks of the Iron Man weapon as a toy. I was at a hearing where Mr Stark, in fact, was adamant that these suits can't exist anywhere else, don't exist anywhere else, never will exist anywhere else, at least for five to ten years, and here we are in Monaco realizing, "These suits exist now.""
"Mute. He should be giving me a medal. That's the truth." Tony said as he came into the room with a plate in his hands.
"What is that?" Pepper questioned looking up at Tony.
"This is your in-flight meal."
"Did you just make that?"
"Yeah. Where do you think I've been for three hours?"
Abigail tried to not shake her head at what Tony was doing.
"Tony, what are you not telling me?" Pepper asked, concerned.
"I don't want to go home. At all. Let's cancel my birthday party and… We're in Europe. Let's go to Venice, Cipriani. Remember?"
"Oh, yes."
"It's a great place to be healthy."
"I don't think this is the right time. We're in kind of a mess."
"Yeah, but maybe that's why it's the best time. 'Cause then we can…"
"Well, I think as the CEO I need to show up."
Abigail swallowed the lump in her throat. Of course Tony wasn't going to say anything about what truly was going on.
"As CEO, you are entitled to a leave." Tony said, looking at Pepper hoping that she would take the bait.
"A leave?"
"A company retreat."
"A retreat? During a time like this?"
"Just a ride. Well, I'm just saying, to recharge our batteries and figure it all out."
"Not everybody runs on batteries Tony."
"Tony, we can't take time away. We need to handle things." Abigail said letting out a soft breath crossing her arms. "Remember what I told you." She looked out the window knowing that Tony now had a lot to go on.
Tony took a breath looking at his sister. He couldn't help, but wonder what she knew. Perhaps it was something that she couldn't reveal and he had to find out in his own way. And he didn't like that idea in the least bit.
Her phone beeped and she picked it up to look at the message that was on it. A scowl came to her face after reading it.
Keep a better eye on your brother.

This is the end of Chapter 29. I hope that you guys enjoy this chapter. I tried my best to write this chapter out. It takes a bit of time to make sure that this story is good, but what worries me is that this chapter is a bit on the short side and I really did try my best with trying to make it longer and it didn't work out the way that I thought it would. Please leave a review and let me know what you think of this chapter. Reviews help me keep going when it comes to writing. I hope to have the next chapter out soon. Until next time.
