Standard Episode 6 : Strange briefings
Hey guys.
We are gonna continue Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V Dimension Wars by doing that chapter that will not have any duels in it, though it will settle the settings for the rest of the season.

Capital Park – Standard Dimension
It was still night,
Shay, having lost contact with Yuto, had decided to look around for him, he thought that his comrade was still pursuing that fusion duelist that he talked to him about a few hours back.
He eventually reached the park as he has heard from some pedestrians that a duel has been taken place in that park, he looked all around him in order to find his comrade.
Suddenly, his eyes drifted to the ground as he discovered that something was on the floor, he walked towards it and he picked it up, when he looked at the content, his eyes widened in shock as he looked at the locket.
The locket had a picture of Yuto hugging Lulu, Shay's sister.
That locket, it belonged to Yuto, he would never separate it from him.
Cleching his fist angrily on the locket, Shay fury boiled within him, who did that move? The aformentionned duelist that his comrade was pursuing? Or Declan Akaba having sent a duelist to eliminate him? If Akaba had something to do with his friend's dissapearence, he will snap his neck.
Suddenly, he heard a noise behind him to which it caused the tall duelist to turn around as he saw five duelists from LDS who surrounded him, all of these duelists were LDS fusion duelists who came in order to avenge their teacher's defeat, the XYZ duelist became even more angrier as he confronted his opponents.
"So you are the scumbags who took care of Yuto! I shall avenge him! COME AT ME YOUR DAMNED FOOLS!" raged Shay as he activated his duel disk while his opponents did the same, however...
"WAIT! Do not engage!" responded a voice to which the five duelists stepped back and this allowed Declan Akaba who was accompagnied by Claude to approach the XYZ duelist "so you are the one who carded Professor Marco".
"And you must be Declan Akaba, the Leo Corporation president!" said Shay as he glared at the sliver-haired duelist.
"That's me, I've saw your friend's duel on the television and I've heard that you were looking out for me so here I am" replied Declan.
"That is perfect, I can do the two things for the price of one, I will defeat you Declan so that I can avenge Yuto that you've captured and I shall deliver you to your father" smugly replied the XYZ duelist.
"I think that you are a bit confused, I am not the one who attacked your comrade, there was recently a duel who took place in that park and your friend was dueling a duelist riding a white bike, I've tried to send some men in order to witness the situation but it seems that they've came too late and instead, they got their sights on you" said Declan "and second of all, you can deliver me to my father but I think that he won't bat a eye if you carded me in front of his eyes".
That sentence caused Shay to be surprised, he begins to lower his duel disk as he begins to be confused of the situation.
"What do you mean? If I've got his son, he would not hesitate to agree to my demands" replied Shay.
"Freeing your comrades yes? Unfortunately, I don't think that he will consider that option even if you use me as a bargaining chip" replied the silver-haired man as he approached the XYZ duelist "however, I can forgive the fact that you've carded one of my staff if you agree to listen to my proposal".
Shay hesitate but he eventually agreed to listen to what the LDS president has to say.
"Talk and be brief".
"Ally yourself with me, together, we will stop my father from conquering the other dimensions, we will prevent the same tragedy that befalled on your dimension and if you agree, we may also find the one who defeated your comrade, my dimension will propably be the next target of the Fusion dimension, if we stood together, we will defeat them before they successfully kidnapped the remaining bracelet girls that he needs in order to fulfill his plans, what do you say? Are we gonna be friends or foe?" asked Declan as he hold his hand so that the XYZ duelist would shake his hand, Shay starts to doubt, can he trust Declan? Is he telling the truth about the fact that he is fighting his father?
Shay wasn't the one who trusted new people that easily but, deep down inside him, he knows that he can trust Declan, he didn't know why but he feels that the silver-haired man was telling him the truth.
Without a second thought, Shay shook Declan's hand and a partnership was born here.
Yuya's house – Standard Dimension
Yuya was severly asleep on his bedroom, exhausted from what happened to him after Yuto's duel against Yugo.
Suddenly, he felt something that was licking his cheek and that feeling caused him to open his eyes, when his vision came due, he noticed that En, his pet dog, was the one who was licking his cheek, the puppy dog was happy that his master was waking up and it let out a few happy barks.
"En? What? It's day already?" wondered the tomato-haired boy as he tried to get up of his bed, but he almost stumbled on the floor as his legs was feeling like almost like jelly, En come around his master in order to see if he was alright "don't worry En, it's fine, I must have made a long sleep".
He looked around the room and he saw his phone standing on his night table, he picked it up and he noticed something that surprised him when he activate it: the last day that he recalled was that it was the 20th of September but now, it was the 22nd of that month.
"Wow, I've slept for two days? Geez, Zuzu, mom and Mr Boyle must have been worried about me, I should be going" thought Yuya as he prepared himself to get down on the kitchen so that he could eat his breakfast.
But when he picked his duel disk and that he would be descending to the kitchen, he noticed a form that was standing on his path, he saw Yuto standing in front of him.
That sudden image caused him to let out a horrified scream as he fell on the ground of fright.
The tomato-haired wasn't dreaming it? Yuto, the same guy that he saw dying on his arms was standing in front of him like if he managed to enter into his room, he wondered if he was going insane.
"Yuya? Is that you Yuya? Are you awake?" asked his mother, Yuko Sakaki, her call caused him to jump as he wasn't expecting that but when he looked once again in Yuto's direction, he saw that the dark duelist was gone, was this all of a hallucination? Yuya decide to reassure his mom.
"Y-yeah, I've woke up, a, nightmare caused me to wake up" replied the tomato-haired boy.
"Really? Well, at least, you've waking up, I've made you breakfast" said Yoko as Yuya gets up from his position as he was preparing to join his mother.
"Was that all of a dream?" wondered the tomato-haired boy as he decided to search through his extra deck as he recalled something before he passed out, Yuto was trying to give him his Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon.
After a few seconds of searching, he pulled out a XYZ card through his extra deck and he discovered that, indeed, the XYZ dragon was been given to him by Yuto, this caused Yuya to be even more confused about the entire ordeal.
But eventually, he decided to go to the kitchen, maybe if he eat something, the images would dissapear, maybe Yuto's death at his arms caused him to hallucinate his image.
The young boy got down in the kitchen to which he saw that his mother has cooked for him, his favorite breakfasr: a plate of pancakes.
"Hey mom" said Yuya.
"Yuya, my sweed kid, you're back into the world of the living!" said Yoko as she hugged her child to which he responded by tapping her mother's back.
"Yeah, sorry I made you worry mom, I was trying to do something with Gong and Sora but, I passed out" halp-lied the tomato-haired boy as he didn't wanted to make his mother worry too much, he was gassed out for two days, he didn't need to add more problems to her.
"I see, anyway, it's good to see you back on your own two feets, your breakfast is ready" replied Yuya's mother as the young boy sits on a chair so that he could eat.
"Thanks mom, I'm really starving" said Yuya as he begin to chomp a bit on the pancakes as he still enjoyed the flavor that came from his mother's pancakes.
"You don't mind Yuya if I call Zuzu? She came home for the two days that you were sleeping and she was really stressed out that you wouldn't wake up" explained Yoko.
"Sure, she would be happy to learn that I am alright" replied Yuya as he continued to eat his breakfast, his mother left the kitchen and picked up her phone so that she could call Zuzu.
A few minutes later, the tomato-haired boy had finished eating his plate of pancakes and he has cleaned up the table so that his mother won't do that herself, he felt a bit anxious to have worried his mother and Zuzu that badly.
When she came back, she drew out a large smile while she was holding a letter on her hand.
"I've called Zuzu, she said that she would come with Gong so that they could check on you and also, I've looked through our mail box and I saw that you have won a trip to Floatsam Paradise" said Yoko to which her explanation caused Yuya to raise an eyebrow, he won a trip to Floatsam Paradise? The grand hotel situated in the Pacific Ocean? And how come he won a trip? These kinds of trips could only be won if he entered through a contest that was hold in the local radio, yet, he didn't remembered that he entered through that said contest.
"Uh, mom, If I'd won a trip, I will knew about it" replied Yuya.
"Oh really?" asked Yoko before the two heard a knock on the door.
"Who is that?" wondered the tomato-haired boy as he gets up from his chair and he went towards the entrance door, he took a peak through the door's peephole and he discovered that a man with pale skin and grey hair and wearing a long red scarf that wrapped around his shoulders was standing in front of the door accompagnied with three duelists.
The first one, Dipper O'rion, was a tall slim boy who possessed purple hair and has a frame of a star on his head, the second duelist, Julia Krystal, was a dark-skinned toned girl who had a shoulder-length black hair and red eyes and the third one, Kit Blade, was a slightly-below-average height teen with long spiky brown hair and amber eyes and he was seen carrying a wooden katana.
A curious Yuya opened his door as he decided to see who was standing in front of his door.
"Yuya Sakaki I presume?" asked Declan to which a cautious Yuya decided to answer his question.
"That's right and you are...?"
"I thought that your father would have told you about me, I am Declan Akaba, the actual president of the LDS Corporation" presented the white-haired boy to which his description caused the tomato-haired boy to be surprised.
"LDS? The Leo Duel School? The school where Sylvio is attending?" asked Yuya.
"That is correct, I have heard of you Yuya through your victory against the Sledgehammer and my student Sylvio Sawatari" replied Declan "and I've witnessed through his duel that you were a remarkable duelist, one strong enough to rival a LDS student".
"Just what exactly are you doing here? I mean, you didn't came into my house to rain praises on me did you Akaba?" asked the tomato-haired boy.
"Indeed, I've come here because I've heard that you have attented a duel against a being from another dimension" said the LDS president to which his sentence caused Yuya to be surprised.
"Wait, how did you...?" started to ask Yuya but Declan cut him off.
"The duel that you have attented was monitored by a security camera that was located in Capital Park but when that rider appeared on the field, we've lost the images, so I've sent some of my students to bring me some data about that duel but it seemed that we've arrived too late and instead, we found that duelist's comrade" explained Declan.
"Wait, you mean Shay Obsidian right? You didn't have any problem with him?" asked the tomato-haired boy.
"No but it will be a tale for another time" responded the white-haired duelist before he noticed that Yuya's mother was coming to the living room "have you checked your mails recently?"
"No but my mom did, why?" asked Yuya as he didn't understand why Declan was asking him that question.
"It could be important" replied Declan as he checked on Yoko and he discover that she was holding a letter on her hand "can I look at that letter you got there miss Sakaki?"
"Y-yes" said an confused Yoko as she hands over the letter to Declan who opened it and it revealed a small postcard to which, when he opened it, it let out a small cheering music and a voice that said the following words.
"You're a winner!"
"Congratulations, you've won the annual Jiminy Cricket contest, allowing you a trip to Floatsam Paradise for two and a free entry for the new LDS tournament" said Declan to which the news surprised Yuya who widened his eyes of shock, so what his mother said weren't a hoax or a lie, someone did make him win a trip to that hotel, the white-haired president approached him and give him the postcard "congratulations Yuya".
"You rigged the contest" replied an unamused Yuya.
"Exactly, congratulations Yuya, you've have been selected as one of the constestants for the new tournament, the best duelists will be garthered from all around the world in order to claim the title of the world's strongest duelist and also, in case of an invasion" replied Declan.
"What?" replied Yuya to which his mother decided to butt into the conversation.
"I second that, what?" asked Yoko to which Declan has forgotten that she was there and he decided to clarify what he just said.
"Do not worry miss Sakaki, let's just say that, after one of my students has been attacked by an assailant, I'm just taking my chances, we don't know what tomorrow could bring but with these duelists that would come from around the world, we may have a strong line of defense against 'outsiders'" explained the white-haired duelist.
"But Akaba, what do..." was about to ask Yuya but Declan cut him off.
"Call me Declan, Yuya, no need for formalities".
"Fine, Declan, what do you mean 'in case of an invasion' what are you talking about?" asked Yuya.
But before Declan could speak, the five heard a knock on the door to which Yoko decided to check on who was about to enter in her home, when she peeked at the peephole, she discovered that it was Zuzu and Gong who were standing at the door.
"Oh, it's Zuzu and Gong, they must have got my message" said Yoko but it shocked Yuya, they can't bring Zuzu and Gong here with Declan in their living room, Zuzu was still livid about her kidnapping by Sylvio and if the president of the LDS was here, she would be probably be ready to kick his butt like there will be no tomorrow, he must get Declan out of the picture.
"Wait mom, I'll get Declan and his crownies out of here, tell Zuzu I'll come shortly" said Yuya before he turned around to look at Declan "look at the mess you've bringing me into Declan!"
"Is there a problem concerning me Yuya?" asked Declan as he fixed his glasses on his nose.
"Yes, let's just say that, since Sylvio is still affiliated with your school, she got an open hate of the LDS, if she sees you, she's gonna kill you and I can't let that happen, especially after you mentionned that 'in case of an invasion' I want to know about that answer but I'm think that I will know something about this only at Floatsam Paradise, so I need to get you somewhere to hide, follow me".
Yuya left to his parent's bedroom with Declan and his crownies in tow, he sees the closet and he decide to bring the LDS staff in there.
"Get in there quick!" said the tomato-haired boy as he pushed Kit Blade into the closet.
"Wow, wow, wow, hang on, the four of us won't fit in there!" replied Dipper O Iron.
"Sure you will!" said Yuya as he pushed the XYZ LDS student into the closet, after he done that, he decide to let Matsumi and Declan enter the closet themselves, the young girl stepped on the closet while Declan decide to follow.
"Tell me Yuya, how long must we wait into that closet?" asked the LDS president.
"Don't know, if I don't get you out, my mom will!" reassured the tomato-haired boy.
"I see" replied Declan as he entered into the closet to which Yuya closed the door and he rushed into the living room so that he could chat with his friends.
When Yuya got into the living room, he saw Zuzu, Gong and Yoko chatting with each other, good, his mom managed to defuse the situation.
"Hey, sorry I'm late guys" apologized Yuya.
"It's okay Yuya, I've heard that this sleazy LDS chairman came in there and that you've kicked him out of the house" said Zuzu to which the tomato-haired boy realized that his mother had told the pink-haired girl about Declan's visit.
"Uh, yeah, I just did that and I'm sure that he won't butt in for a moment" replied Yuya to which his answer caused Zuzu to let out a small giggle.
"Well, he got some nerve to come in here especially after you've passed out for two days and that you've just woke up" said Zuzu to which her sentence caused Yuya to remember that he wanted to apologize to his friends that he caused them to worry about the fact that he was unconcious.
"I'm sorry guys"
"You are sorry for what Yuya?" asked the giant.
"I'm sorry to have worried you all, I didn't know what happened after Yuto got defeated, I felt that something took all of my energy from me, and I saw that I was unconcious for two days" said Yuya.
"It's okay, the important part is that you've managed to get back in shape" replied the pink-haired girl to which Yuya smiled but then, he thought to ask a question to Zuzu.
"Tell me, how's your dad?" asked the tomato-haired boy.
"He's alright, he was worried about you but now, I'm sure that he will be back into his goofy antics when he will hear that you've woke up" said Zuzu to which her sentence caused Yoko to remember the letter that she has received.
"Oh! And I'm sure that your father will be proud of something else too because my sweet Yuya has won a trip to Floatsam Paradise" said Yoko.
"Oh really? But I didn't remember that he has entered a contest for a trip" wondered the pink-haired girl.
"I didn't, that was the reason that Declan came in there, he rigged the contest so I could enter in Floatsam Paradise for his new tournament" replied the tomato-haired boy.
"A tournament sponsored by LDS? Why?" asked Zuzu.
"I don't know, he said something about gathering the strongest duelists in order to find who was the strongest of all but also, he said something about the case of an invasion" explained Yuya to which his sentence caused the young girl and Gong to be surprised.
"An invasion? What was he talking about?" asked the pink-haired girl.
"I can't say for sure but I think that it might be because of what happened last night" said Yuya as he didn't want to say too much details in front of his mother so that he wouldn't worry or scare her about the details but then, he remembered something that Declan told him, it was the fact that he could invite someone for that trip, even though he thought about this in a non-romantic way, he does admit that he might need some help from Zuzu as she was now too much involved in that mess to be ignored, the tomato-haired boy cheeks begin to blush as he was about to ask that question to Zuzu "um, I've discovered that in my winning ticket, I can invite a person with me at this trip and, if you agree Zuzu, would you, um, would you like to come with me?"
"Huh? Me?" asked the pink-haired girl as a small blush covers her face.
"Yeah, I might need your help, no offense big guy" Yuya said as he gesture to his friend Gong "but you are the first person that I thought about inviting into that place".
"Aw, Yuya, you didn't need to be shy, I would have proposed to Zuzu if she wanted to come along with you" replied Yoko with a sly smile to which it caused the two teenagers to blush even further "well, I guess that you will be set, I will make your luggage Yuya so that you will be ready to go to the Floatsam Paradise, once you will get there, call me back alright?"
"Um, mom..." was about to say Yuya but his mother already went into his bedroom, preventing him of pursuing his sentence, the tomato-haired boy then turned around to Zuzu in order to warn her about that trip "but, if you agree, I don't think that it will be a vacation, I don't know what Declan had in store or what he meant by the case of an invasion but if it got something to do with Yuto's arrival..."
"Yuto? That's the name of the one who attacked Sylvio?" asked Zuzu.
"Yeah, if it got to do with him, this means that something dangerous may come ahead of us, I hope that I didn't scare with that thing?" asked the tomato-haired boy.
"No, besides, I wanted to know why that boy had the same face as you have, if you say that this Declan knows what's going on in there, then he has the answers, so I'll follow you" replied Zuzu to which her words caused Yuya to be happy as he adressed a smile to the pink-haired girl.
"Thank you Zuzu".
This time, it was Zuzu who adressed a smile at Yuya.
However, outside of their conversation, Gong was showing a worried expression as he thought about what was going on recently.
"So, the president of LDS has invited Yuya into that hotel so that he could enter into that tournament, a tournament that may have the fate of the world at its stake, but if what Yuya said was right, maybe the LDS plans of using Yuya for a dangerous plan? Gong can't stay idle, I'm sorry Yuya but let Gong handle this" thought the giant as he was waiting that his friend turned his back so that he could knock him out, he didn't want to hurt him, just knock him out so that he wouldn't be put in harm's way.
And that's what he does, when Zuzu wanted to check on Yuya's mother, the tomato-haired boy turned his back at Gong, the Steadfast duelist discretely and quickly approchead Yuya and...
BAM!
He gave out a small punch on Yuya's head, causing him to fall out on the ground much to Zuzu's shock.
"GONG? Are you out of your mind?" cried out Zuzu as Gong took Yuya's ticket along with his identity card.
"Gong apologize Zuzu, I'm really sorry, but I won't let Declan use Yuya as he saw fit, if this tournament has the fate of the world on the line, Gong should face Declan head-on, Yuya just woke up, he don't need to be brought into the LDS schemes, come on Zuzu, we need to go" replied the giant as he took the pink-haired girl's wrist on his large hand as he wanted to bring her with him.
"Gong wait! Let go!" asked Zuzu but it was no use, the giant duelist grasp was too much to handle and she was forced to come along with him.
But unknown to Gong, Yuya quickly woke up as he noticed that the Steadfast duelist didn't go at full power on his punch, he possibly went easy on him so that he wouldn't accidentelly kill him on the spot, when the tomato-haired boy fully got up, he noticed that his friend and Zuzu weren't on the living room anymore.
"Gong? Crap, what was he thinking?" thought Yuya as he rubbed his head as he still felt the blow of the attack but then, his mother called out to him.
"Yuya? Why is Mister Akaba in your closet?"
Declan! With all of the commotion, he has forgotten that he has kept Declan into his closet, the tomato-haired boy went up to his room and he did saw Declan looking him up in the eye with the other three duelists being bundled up like if they were crushed under their weight, Yuya let out a small sigh before he decided to speak with Declan.
"Alright, Declan, you win, I'll go at Floatsam Paradise and there, you will tell me everything!" said Yuya as he closed the door of his closet to the LDS president's face as he helped his mother getting his belongings.
His next stop: the airport where he would caught up with Gong and Zuzu.
And done, I hope that I didn't the chapter too confusing for you as I admit that I hesistated on how I should write up that chapter as it will lead to the LDS tournament at Floatsam Paradise (the name of the hotel is based on the Pholoston Paradise from the Fifth Element).
