Sorry I haven't updated in ages. I know this chapter was meant to carry on from the last chapter but I got stuck writing it. This is set 6 months later.

It was the end of another day at school and Olivia was relieved. She couldn't wait to get home. Although she knew she would end up worrying about school the next day for most of the evening.

Rachel had a meeting after school so Olivia and Lexie were both going to walk home.

Olivia saw Lexie as she came out of the school gates so the two of them walked home together.

"Did you have a good day?" Lexie asked

"Not bad thanks. How about you?"

"School was okay but I've got so much homework to do tonight"

"Same here"

When they got some they both got changed out of their school uniform before sitting at the kitchen table together to do some homework.

They were still there when Rachel got home with Daisy.

Daisy had been to cross country club after school and was now covered in mud.

"You are going straight in the bath missy before you get mud everywhere" Rachel said

Daisy went to run upstairs but Rachel stopped her.

"Hang on, you need to take those socks off first"

Rachel quickly went and said hello to Lexie and Olivia before going straight upstairs to bath Daisy.

Once Daisy was bathed Rachel went downstairs and joined Olivia and Lexie at the table as she needed to finish off a little bit of paper work.

After finishing her paper work Rachel made a start on tea. It wasn't long before Eddie got home. Eddie had now moved in and it was going really well.

He went and got changed before joining them in the kitchen.

"I spoke to Steve today" Eddie said "and apparently Imogen's got a boyfriend"

"I already knew that" Lexie said

"Did you? Steve only found out at the weekend"

"Yeah I know but she didn't want Steve finding out. They've been together since before Christmas"

"I didn't know but I did guess" Rachel admitted

"How?" Eddie asked surprised as he'd had no idea

"Just from a few photos she's been tagged in on Facebook. There's this boy that she always looks very cosy with"

"Well Steve's going to Durham to see Imogen next weekend and she wants to introduce him"

"What's he called?" Rachel asked

"Connor"

"I hope he's not a trouble maker like Connor James in year 9"

"I remember him. He always caused so many problems when I had him for maths when he was in year 7"

"Yes well I'm afraid nothing has changed"

Once the bolognese that Rachel had cooked for tea was ready they all sat at the table.

Olivia was trying to enjoy it and join in with talking but she couldn't stop worrying about school tomorrow.

After tea Olivia helped stack the dishwasher before going upstairs for a shower.

Whilst in the shower she was just dreading school in the morning. She didn't know what had happened but over the last month or so Olivia had become really anxious about going to school. She used to love it but now the thought of it made her feel sick.

Standing under the hot water was making her feel a bit calmer. She always did find it relaxing.

After her shower Olivia put her pyjamas on and started drying her hair. Rachel came in to give her some clean washing.

"Was school alright today?" Rachel asked as Olivia hadn't spoken much since she got home

"It was fine" Olivia replied

Rachel could barely get anything out of Olivia about school these days.

"What lessons did you have?"

"Why do you always have to ask me about school. I spend all day there so I don't want to spend all night talking about it" Olivia snapped

Olivia instantly felt bad but she just couldn't help it sometimes. She hated school and she hated it when someone asked her about it.

"Sorry sweetheart. I'm just going to put Daisy to bed and then do you want to come downstairs? Lexie wants to watch another episode of that thing we started watching last night"

"Yeah I'll be down. Sorry for snapping, I didn't mean to"

"Don't worry about it. Is everything okay though?" Rachel asked and Olivia nodded even though it wasn't

Daisy was in her bedroom so Rachel sent her to the bathroom to clean her teeth.

When Daisy got back Rachel was sat on her bed and had pulled the quilt back.

"Rachel I have a tummy ache" Daisy said as she climbed into bed

"Oh do you love. I'm sure it will feel better after a good sleep"

"I hope so. We're going on the apparatus in PE tomorrow so I don't want to have a tummy ache for that"

"Hopefully it will be gone when you wake up tomorrow"

Rachel sat with Daisy for a couple of minutes before turning Daisy's lamp off and kissing her goodnight.

Once Daisy was tucked in Rachel went to take her makeup off and wash her face before going downstairs.

Lexie and Olivia were both in the lounge on their phones. Eddie walked in just after Rachel had sat down.

Rachel put the TV on and put Firefly Lane on, that they'd started the night before.

"Oh do we have to watch this again?" Eddie moaned

"It was good last night" Rachel protested "we can just watch one more tonight though if you really don't like it"

Olivia had really enjoyed the first 2 episodes so was looking forward to watching more. She just wished she wasn't feeling the dread she was about school tomorrow. Even when she wasn't at school, she still felt unhappy because she was so nervous about going to school again. She hated how it ruined her free time.

They ended up watching a couple of episodes before Rachel sent Olivia to bed. Lexie decided to go up too.

Rachel gave them a bit of time to get ready for bed before going up to say goodnight.

She went to Olivia's room first. Olivia was sat in bed.

"Night love, see you in the morning"

"Night Rachel"

Olivia turned her lamp off as Rachel walked out of the room.

As soon as she heard Rachel going downstairs again after saying goodnight to Lexie, Olivia flicked her light on again.

She'd started staying up late as she knew that once she was asleep it would feel like no time before she was up the next morning and having to go to school.

Olivia wished so much she wasn't so worried about going to school tomorrow. She had PE which she always enjoyed and an art lesson which was always fun with her friends. They were reading a new book in English so she would have to read out loud tomorrow when they went around the class which she was nervous about. In the past though she wouldn't have got so worked up about it so didn't understand why she was now.

After a while it had got really late so Olivia realised she really should go to sleep. After all being tired tomorrow wasn't going to help her out.

Olivia turned out the light and laid down to go to sleep. It took a while but eventually she fell asleep.

Daisy woke up in the middle of the night. Her tummy was still hurting and she realised she'd had an accident.

She always hated it when she wet the bed but she felt even more embarrassed when it happened now that Eddie had moved in.

Daisy knew she needed to tell Rachel so went to Rachel and Eddie's bedroom. She went to Rachel's side of the bed hoping that Eddie wouldn't wake up.

Daisy started shaking Rachel gently.

"Rachel wake up"

It didn't take long for Rachel to wake up.

"Rachel I need you" Daisy said quietly

"Do you need me to get out of bed?" Rachel asked and Daisy nodded

The two of them walked out to the landing and Rachel closed the door.

"What's wrong Dais?"

"I've had an accident" Daisy admitted

"Never mind darling. These things happen sometimes don't they"

Daisy didn't say anything as she felt really embarrassed.

"Let's get you sorted"

Daisy had a quick wash and changed into clean pyjamas.

Once Rachel had changed the sheets Daisy got back into bed.

Rachel noticed how flushed Daisy's cheeks still were so she touched her forehead.

"You're ever so hot love. Is your tummy still hurting?"

"Yes it's really sore"

"I'll give you some calpol. I wonder if you've got another water infection"

Daisy sometimes suffered with water infections and they often made her wet the bed.

"It did hurt when I went for a wee just now"

"Oh dear. I guess that would explain it then. We'll see how you are in the morning. It's probably going to be a trip to the doctor's though I'm afraid"

Once Daisy was settled again Rachel left her room. On her way back to bed Rachel noticed there was a light on in Olivia's room so she went to investigate.

Rachel opened the door and was surprised to find Olivia sat up in bed reading.

"What are you doing awake? It's 2 o clock in the morning"

"I couldn't sleep"

"Something on your mind?"

Rachel asked as she sat down on the edge of Olivia's bed

"I just can't sleep for some reason and I was fed up of just lying there"

Something didn't seem right with Olivia but Rachel knew that if she asked too many questions it would result in Olivia closing up even more.

"You can read for a little bit longer but then try and go to sleep again. You're going to be shattered at school tomorrow"

"Okay"

"If you still can't sleep, come and tell me. I know how horrible it is when you can't sleep"

"Thanks Rachel"

"That's okay. You know where I am if there's something you want to talk about too"

Olivia didn't say anything so Rachel left her to it.

Rachel went back to her room and got into bed. Eddie was awake now too.

"Where've you been?"

"Daisy had an accident. I think she might have a water infection"

"Poor Daisy"

Rachel laid down and snuggled into Eddie ready to go back to sleep again.

The next morning came around way too quickly.

Rachel laid in bed for a little bit after her alarm went off but then got up and went into her en-suite for a shower.

After getting dressed, doing her makeup and drying her hair Rachel went to wake Lexie and Olivia.

Olivia looked so peaceful and Rachel felt bad waking her when she'd had a bad night's sleep. She knew she had to though.

Olivia felt disappointed when she realised it was the morning. It was time to face another day of school.

"Are you feeling tired this morning?"

Rachel asked

"So tired. I wish I could sleep for longer"

"I'm afraid you have to go to school though"

"I wish I didn't"

"Are you still going to Poppy's house before gymnastics tonight?" Rachel asked and Olivia nodded

"Okay. Don't forget to pack any of your gymnastics stuff then"

Olivia was really looking forward to going to Poppy's house and then gymnastics later but first she had to make it through the school day.

Rachel decided to wake Daisy and see how she was feeling.

Daisy had a temperature and said her tummy was still hurting.

"I think that's a day off school for you today then"

"But I want to go to school to go on the apparatus"

"There will be other times and you don't want to be in school when you're poorly, do you?" Rachel asked and Daisy shook her head

"Where will I go?"

"Angela's not working today so I'll ask her if you can spend the day with her. Is that okay?"

Daisy nodded her head.

"Do you want to get dressed or go over in your pyjamas?"

"Go in my pyjamas"

"I'll pack you a bag with some clothes in for when you get dressed later then"

Rachel quickly packed a bag before going to straighten her hair.

Once everyone was ready and Daisy was at Angela's, Olivia and Lexie got in the car with Rachel.

Olivia's heart was racing really fast. She wished she was genuinely ill like Daisy so that she could have the day off.

The drive wasn't long enough for Olivia and they had soon driven through the gates.

After saying goodbye to Rachel and Lexie, Olivia took a deep breath before going to find her friends. As much as she didn't want to go to school for the day, she didn't have any other option.
