Obstacle Dirt Race with Crazy Plant Monsters
With the next game on the way soon, everyone starts to sit the bleachers to wait for the game to watch and feeling a little excited to see how this game will go with how the Wondercolts are close to the Shadowbolts this year.
"Hey, down in front! I'm trying to watch here!" A male student of Crystal Prep shouted at Broly.
"Come on, I want to see how great this obstacle race will go!" A female student from Canterlot High said while holding up her corndog.
"Wait, I thought you gave up eating meat?" Another female student of Canterlot High surprised.
"Hey, he can't help it being born this tall." Cheelai shouted at them.
"Easy there, these people just want to see the game like everyone else and I can't blame them feeling like how seeing a big sport event." Lemo pointed out.
"I'm sorry." Broly apologized.
"No need to feel sorry for, let just move down to the bottom for a closer view." Cheelai suggested and the three walk down to the ground level.
"I hope the others will be okay." Broly concerned for the Shadowbolts.
"Hey, those girls are tough, so I'm sure they'll get by with only a slight scratch." Cheelai smirked.
Meanwhile, Cinch and Fu are with the Shadowbolt to have a little pep talk and this game will be a team as they talk about who will be pair up for this.
"You will race in pairs. Indigo Zap and Sugarcoat will handle the motocross." Cinch ordered.
"Yes!" Indigo Zap excited.
"We shall do our most of the best." Sugarcoat said as she and Indigo Zap gave each other a high-five.
"Next up for the short track, Lemon Zest and Sunny Flare will be the team for that." Fu infofmed.
"You ready to rock their world with our awesomeness!" Lemon Zest asked with her fist pump up.
"Yes, we shall make them witness how we Shadowbolts do things even willing to get dirty for the task." Sunny Flare grinned while looking at her nails.
"Since archery is a standard requirement at our school, any of you should be able to do it. Twilight and Sour Sweet will start us off." Cinch decided.
"Oh, archery, how straight forward." Twilight chuckled nervously.
"Don't worry, it won't be that hard." Sour Sweet said sweetly to Twilight. "If you're not a stupid novice beginner." Sour Sweet said in a sourly tone.
"Sorry, I don't really have much physical activities and done much like this." Twilight apologized.
"…It's fine, just follow what I do and try your best to do this." Sour Sweet sighed and encouraged her a little.
"Oh, okay, then I will do my best for our school. I hope." Twilight said.
"Glad to see you're getting along because you will need to that. Given that Twilight won the last event single-handedly, I have every confidence that she will be able to pull her weight here. Won't you?" Cinch asked with an evil-like smirk.
"Y-Yes, sir." Twilight nodded with a gulp.
"Oh, I'm sure and everyone else will have the most unexpected and exciting experience of their life." Fu smirked.
"(I'm starting to see why Dead Cadance would give Fu the dirty look and doesn't trust him.)" Sugarcoat thought stared at Fu for a moment.
"Okay, everyone! Let's all do our best and try not to die!" Fu said clapping his hands making the others sweatdrop.
With the Wondercolt team, they are also taking about how will be pair to each other which part of the obstacle they will be doing.
"Okay, so it's all an agreement. Applejack and Fluttershy will be doing the archery, Rarity and Pinkie will be on the short track, and finally there will be Rainbow Dash and Sunset on the motorbikes." Celestia said to the girls.
"Oh yeah, motorbikes are speed which is my favorite thing!" Rainbow Dash excited.
"We won't let you down." Applejack promised.
"I know but remember that it's not about winning or lose. It's about having a fun time with the friendship we all carry!" Celestia stated.
"But that doesn't mean you can let your guard down; Crystal Prep will try to keep themselves ahead of us." Luna added.
"Just make sure you all do well and don't try destroy anything unlike two of our students have done." Nijuuichi chuckled with a tease looking at the two Saiyans.
"What are you looking us like that, woman?" Vegeta raised an eyebrow.
"Hey Rainbow Dash, I need to tell you something quick." Bulma walked up to Rainbow Dash and whisper into her ears, then the rainbow-haired girl blush like crazy.
"Are you serious, that's the craziest thing I have ever heard!" Rainbow Dash said freaking out a little.
"Trust me, it's something Vegeta is going to love and don't go denying of how you feel about him." Bulma smirked.
"What the… But I, well, it's not, umm…" Rainbow Dash blushed hard and struggle to think of something to drop the subject.
"Don't worry, you won't have to answer it right away, it can be after this round, and I'll be expecting an answer from you soon." Bulma winked as she walks away.
"(Oh man, a harem with Vegata… This is nuts and at the same time, but why does this sound good to me.)" Rainbow Dash thought blushed.
"Are you okay, Rainbow Dash?" Sunset asked which spooks him a little.
"Yeah! Totally, just very excited and show the Shadowbolts we're the ones who will win this game!" Rainbow Dash acted cool and pump her fist in the air.
Soon, the second event of the Friendship Games is about to begin with all the players got into their positions with the principals sitting at the special booth along with Fu sitting between Cinch and Cadance, Nijuuichi between Celesita and Luna while Paragus is sitting at the bleachers with the other students.
"Welcome, everyone to the Friendship Games Tricross Relay!" Cadance declared as the students cheered.
"In this event, our qualifying competitors will face off in archery, speed skating, and finally, motocross." Cadance explained as the competitors are getting all excited for this.
"Yeah, go Wondercolt! Kick their asses!" Flash cheered.
"Bring home the win!" Lyra shouted.
"Show how do we harmony around here!" Sweetie Drop said with a cheering smirk.
"So if the competitors are ready..." Cadance paused for second and blow the airhorn signaling the start of the game.
Sour Sweet and Fluttershy went first running through the obstacle course trying to get ahead of each other.
"Each competitor must hit a bullseye before their teammates can start the next leg of the relay." Cadance mentioned.
Sour Sweet got a few feet ahead of Fluttershy as she grabs the bow inside the quiver and shot three arrows at one target getting one inside the red circle, Fluttershy caught up and starts shooting though having a really hard time shooting the arrows.
With Sour Sweet done with her part, Twilight makes a run for the arrows though have a little trouble with getting through the obstacle like falling over a haystack and almost falling into the mud pit.
"Come on, Twilight! Even nerds can get through this small obstacle course better!" Cheelai said.
"Seriously, have you not done any basic exercises?" Sour Sweet asked.
"I'm more of the indoor brainy girl." Twilight mentioned.
"Looks like that Twilight isn't doing so good." Goku noticed.
"Yeah, I can clear that in seconds back in my old school." Bulma bragged a little.
"Hold on, I can get myself up!" Twilight tried to bring herself onto the box with Sour Sweet, but having trouble lifting herself up.
"(This is pathetic!)" Sour Sweet thought exclaimed, then she spotted Broly looking sad with the eyes wondering if she is going to help Twilight.
"Damn it." Sour Sweet muttered and grab Twilight's arms bring her up on the box.
"Oh, thanks." Twilight thanked.
"You're my partner for this, I don't want us to look bad." Sour Sweet proclaimed, then saw Broly smiling at her which causes her to blush.
That the crowd cheers again getting Sour Sweet and Twilight to see Fluttershy have just made a bullseye with her arrow, allowing Applejack to come running towards her.
"Hurry and shoot!" Sour Sweet yelled a little.
Twilight quickly got out the bow and positioned herself to shoot the arrow and miss poorly while Applejack miss as well though managed to get the target with the second try allowing Rarity and Pinkie to move for the track on their roller blades.
"And Canterlot is off to an early lead!" Cadance announced causing the crowd to cheer.
"It would appear there's a struggle for Twilight." Cinch chuckled.
"Sharp minds don't always help." Fu stated.
Twilight tries to hit the target though kept missing her aim three tries and she can't keep this up as she'll be running out of arrows soon.
"Oh, come on!" Sour Sweet shouted spooking Twilight.
"I'm sure glad I don't go to Crystal Prep." Fluttershy said.
"You said it." Applejack agreed just when Rarity and Pinkie just enter the second lap.
"If CPA can't hit another bullseye soon, they'll be out of this race." Cadance said.
Twilight tries shooting another arrow but miss yet again.
"Forgive me for sounding rude, but you're really bad at this." Sugarcoat called out.
"How exactly are you this bad? Can't you use that head of yours to calculate for the shooting?" Sour Sweet asked a little upset.
"Easier said than done." Twilight stated as she misses again.
"Ugh! I can't take anymore!" Applejack walked over to the Shadowbolt side.
"What the hell is that girl doing?" Vegeta asked, thinking Applejack should focus on her own team.
"She's going to help Twilight get better with the archery, that's sweet." Goku complimented.
"Guess Applejack doesn't like seeing others struggle too much." Chi-Chi shrugged.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Sour Sweet asked, glaring at Applejack.
"Just here helping your team." Applejack answered honestly which shocked Sour Sweet.
"Ya have to stop aimin' at the target." Applejack said.
"Oh, that makes perfect sense! Don't aim at the target! Thanks so much!" Sour Sweet said sarcastically, but Applejack chooses to ignore her.
"Ya have to stop aimin' at where the target is an' aim at where the target's gonna be." Applejack advised.
"Why are you even helping the ones you're competing? You're just going to let us catch up with you." Sour Sweet puzzled of this.
"Because being helpful and friendly to others is what I do, along with my friends in Canterlot High." Applejack explained before turning back to Twilight.
"Oh, quite the girl you have for helping friends and enemies." Cinch commented to Celestia.
"Showing friendship is the purpose of the Friendship Games." Celestia smiled proudly.
"Take a deep breath." Applejack said as Twilight does that.
"And let the arrow go... riiiiight... now!" Applejack guided Twilight as she lets go of the arrow.
The arrow flies to the target as everyone become suspense of if Twilight made the shoot or not until the arrow hits right inside the red circle of the target, this got Lemon Zest and Sunny Flare to move and fast since they were behind.
"That's our cowgirl!" Nijuuichi cheered.
"Well, what do you know?" Sour Sweet shocked that Applejack really was helping Twilight despite being on the opposing team.
"That's my girl!" Spike smiled and jumps onto Twilight as she hugs him.
Broly smiles seeing that Twilight did okay and nice to see another person from that Canterlot school is nice like that Fluttershy girl from before.
Applejack offers a high-five to Twilight for doing a good job with the arrow, but the purple girl suddenly hugs her for the help.
"I guess you Canterlot wimps are pretty good, just below us that is." Sour Sweet complimented a little.
"See? I was tellin' ya the truth." Applejack said, patting Twilight on the back before pony up.
"Whoa, now Applejack is the one transforming." Bulma surprised.
"Just what is the deal with that?" Vegeta wondered.
Suddenly Twilight's pendant device activates again sucking up Applejack's magic.
"Eh... what... are... you... doing?!" Applejack asked, struggling to get away.
"I don't know!" Twilight said.
"But you are going to feel exhausted after this." Sour Sweet said while helping Twilight close the pendant, but they trip and drop the pendant onto the track.
The pendant opens itself and suddenly a small portal like the ones they saw began to open on the ground causing Twilight and Sour Sweet to become worried.
Meanwhile, the two pairs are skating fast as Rarity and Pinkie are still ahead though Lemon Zest and Sunny Flare are catching up.
"Canterlot only has two laps to go! But it looks like Crystal Prep is making up for lost time!" Cadance stated.
"Hmm, do you think something interesting may happen?" Cinch asked.
"Perhaps, even genius can't always predict the unpredictable." Fu grinned.
Lemon Zest and Sunny Flare skated pass Rarity and Pinkie gaining the lead though those two weren't going to give up, Rarity hold up her right let allowing Pinkie to grab onto it and be throw fast to get past two of the Shadowbolts and got first-place for the Wondercolts.
"What a finish!" Cadance cheered as the crowd does, and strangely Cinch isn't bother by this.
Now, the motorbike riders are off to make their way through the dirt track as Sunset and Rainbow Dash took the lead while Twilight was trying to get the pendant back though was stop by a few weird plants that are moving.
"Twilight!" Sour Sweet quickly went over to help, but suddenly her foot was grabbed by a vine from a giant flytrap with a screech.
"Awesome!" Rainbow Dash shouted, unaware of the portals that are appearing with the plant monsters coming out until one appeared ahead of her.
She and the other bikers dodges the plants though Sugarcoat got caught in one's mouth and Sunset tries to slide down but ends up getting off her bike, Sugarcoat hang on but eventually fell as her bike was torn apart and Broly comes in saving her.
"Thank you, Broly." Sugarcoat thanked as he smiles at her.
Rainbow Dash saw Sunset is in trouble as Indigo Zap managed to take the lead from her though Rainbow Dash decided to go save her friend while dodging some of the plant monsters.
"Vegeta, we got to help them!" Goku said before flying off.
"Idiot, they can take care of themselves." Vegeta stated but flew after him.
"Dash, you saved me!" Sunset smiled.
"I wasn't about to let my friend become plant food." Rainbow Dash stated strongly.
Rainbow Dash stops the bike for a moment as she transforms into her human-Pegasus form being all glowing and stuff.
"My goodness, is everyone in your school have such fondness for horses?" Cinch joked as Celestia shrug nervously.
Two plant monsters were going to attack Sunset and Rainbow Dash, but they were blasted away by Goku and Vegeta.
"Don't you two have a race to continue?" Vegeta asked.
"Yeah, we can still win this!" Rainbow Dash nodded, and Sunset drove off to catch up to Indigo Zap.
Indigo Zap is going strong trying to keep the lead until a plant monster pull itself out of a hole it just made that she would have fallen into if Broly hadn't caught her, he places her back on the track though Sunset drove past them taking the lead now.
"Thanks!" Indigo Zap thanked before driving back in the race.
Broly starts punching the plant monsters so hard that they are ripped off from the vines while Goku and Vegeta do the same and blast a few of them too.
Sunset and Indigo Zap are neck in neck as one is trying to take the lead as they get closer to the finish line, then Sunset comes ahead crossing the red line first.
"Canterlot wins!" Cadance announced causing everyone to cheers and Twilight finally manages to close her pendant.
"Okay, now all students, please proceed to the gym." Cadance said.
"Is everybody all right?" Applejack asked as the group gathered.
"Better than all right! We won!" Rainbow Dash yelled.
"Um, as if there were ever any doubts." Vegeta smirked.
"Yeah, we won, but somebody could've been seriously hurt. The magic is going haywire, and I have no idea how to fix it!" Sunset worried.
"Um, excuse me." Twilight walked up to the Canterlot group.
"I didn't mean for any of this to happen. I just wanted to learn about the strange energy coming from your school. I didn't know that it was magic or... how it works." Twilight apologized.
"That's okay, neither do we." Rainbow Dash shrugged, and the pendant opens up again.
"Oh, no! Oh, no no no! Not again!" Twilight worried as she tries to pull it away though it has already suck Rainbow Dash's magic in.
"Will you stop that?" Vegeta demanded.
"I'm sorry! It just started absorbing energy on its own! But I'm not sure how! It also causes these corresponding rifts to appear! I don't know how that works either." Twilight explained as a portal is suddenly opening up.
"Is there anything you do know?! Like how to get our magic back?! Or how to fix the portal to Equestria?!" Sunset asked getting angry.
"Equestria?" Twilight confused.
"You're supposed to be so smart, but did you ever think that you shouldn't be messing around with things you don't understand?!" Sunset scolded while closing the pendant that closes the portal.
"But I wanna understand." Twilight said.
"It would appear you're in way over your head." Vegeta pushed Twilight down.
Broly saw this getting angry and blitz at the Saiyan Prince before he could react and Vegeta him that he crashes into the school though he stops himself at the main hall.
"You hurt Twilight." Broly growled.
"Whoa, whoa, easy there, big guy!" Goku jumped in front of Broly.
"We're all just on edge with the competition, so why won't we just calm down and save our energy for the final round." Goku advised.
Twilight saw Paragus looking firm at Broly and was about to reach for the remote that no longer in his pocket.
"He's right, Broly. Just calm down and let's regroup with the others, okay?" Twilight said holding Broly's hand as he starts to calm down.
"Okay, we'll go." Broly said before glaring at Vegeta and Goku one last time, he leaves with Twilight and Spike. This also got Paragus to stop reaching for the remote seeing that Broly has clam down while Fu smirks.
The Rainbooms and the Z-Fighters have a bad feeling that the worst has only just begun, and Bulma smack Vegeta in the back of the head for hitting a girl like that.

That event sure was intense with the racing and the plant monsters suddenly showing up though that didn't stop the competitors from racing and Canterlot score a win, and that only leaves the martial art event where Goku and Vegeta are finally going to face Broly.
