"Hey gorgeous."

As Sean walked the halls of Degrassi, he peeked into Emma's homehoom. It just so happened she was early and the first one in the classroom. Her back was to the door as he slipped into the room and noticed she had earbuds in. He decided to use the opportunity to sneak up on the girl, and spoke right next to her ear; just loud enough for her to hear over her music.

"Sean," she physically jumped in her seat, whisper yelling at the boy, "keep it down."

Sean looked around the room and chuckled, before leaning in and smiling into another quick kiss, "no one's around."

Emma just rolled her eyes and breathed out a laugh. He now sat next to her now, and pulled out one of her earbuds out of her ear, placing it into his, "whatcha listening to?"

And tell me, did you fall for a shooting star?

One without a permanent scar, and then you miss me

While you were looking for yourself?

Sean removed the music from his ear, "really? Train?"

"I can't help it," Emma spoke defensively, "Drops of Jupiter is one of my favourite songs."

Sean laughed at the way her eyebrows raised when she tried to justify herself. Her cheeks burned red when she noticed him staring.

"Hey, lovebirds," Alice's voice interrupted their ogling, "Peter's on his way to class. Tone it down a bit."

Sean stood up quickly, throwing his backpack over his shoulder. He wanted so badly to kiss her once more, but the hallways grew noisier as the start of class loomed near, making it too risky.

"Lunch?" He called back to the girl from the doorway, "Peter can join, too."

Emma nodded, forcing a smile on Sean's face that carved dimples deep into each of his cheeks before he disappeared down the hall. In his place, came Peter, who sat at the computer next to her. Alice then sat on the other side of Emma, and whispered, "you can't continue to sneak around with him."

Guilt flooded Emma's face as Alice continued, "you have to break up with him."

Emma swallowed hard. Alice was right, but how could she call it off the second the Sean Cameron came back into her life?

Before she was able to respond, Mr. Simpson – who also happened to be her father – entered the room and began the class. Emma looked over at Alice, who was now whispering and giggling to Manny on her other side. Then, her eye trailed to her right – Peter Stone. She winced at the pang of guilt she felt at the sight of him, causing a lump in her throat the size of a baseball.

Although she hated the thought of it, she knew Alice was right. She decided she'd do it at the end of the day.

The morning flew by, and before Sean knew it, it was already lunch time. He raced down the hall to meet Emma… and Peter outside of their classroom.

"Wow," Emma jumped back a bit at the sight of Sean already standing outside the door only seconds after the bell rang, "that was fast."

He shrugged, leading the girl down the hall. Peter fell behind the two as they laughed and reminisced about the past on their way out to the parking lot.

"I still can't believe you completely destroyed that reporter's computer," Emma recalled from the day Sean left for Wasaga, laughing as she spoke, "she was so pissed."

Sean chuckled, "yeah, a lot of that day feels like one big blur to me now."

They suddenly paused, thinking the same thing. Everything did feel like a blur for him – except the tension he felt between himself and Emma when they made up; the look they shared as Jay's orange Civic ripped out of his gravel driveway.

Sean shook his head, removing the thoughts from his mind as Peter cleared his throat. Shit, he's still here. He hoped the little blonde weasel wasn't catching on to their secret rendezvous.

"Oh, hey, Sean," Peter piped up, appearing not to catch on, "I got this part, I'm not sure it'll fit, but—,"

Their voices trailed off in the back of Emma's mind. The three had found themselves in the parking lot, stood next to Peter's car – that he just so happened to park next to Sean's. As Peter dug the part out from the trunk of his convertible, she leaned against the hood of Sean's red sedan. Her eyes darted from the ground, up to Manny and Alice, who just so happened to be headed back from a nearby coffee shop. Both their eyes locked on Emma, disapprovingly. She just rolled her eyes and returned her sights to Sean, who had now ditched his dark denim jacket onto the roof of the convertible. His defined arms now bare, she couldn't help but indulge. Sean caught her longing gaze as he looked up from examining whatever was happening under the hood of Peter's car, sneaking her a wink.

It was certain now. She had to break up with Peter.

The bell to end lunch rang moments later, "I'll meet you at the races tonight, and I'll hook you up, alright?"

"Yeah, that'd be tight."

Emma cringed at Peter's social awkwardness.

"Uh, yeah," Sean stifled a laugh, "I don't wanna be late for shops. I'll see you two tonight?"

Emma nodded slightly, avoiding eye contact as she took in the smell of him as he walked by. He smelled both like cologne, and engine grease. It drove her mad.

"Walk you to class?" Peter held his arm out to his girlfriend.

She sucked in a deep breath. She couldn't believe what she was about to do, "actually, Peter."

Emma gently placed her hand on his shoulder as she spoke, "I think I need some time to think."

His eyebrows furrowed, "think about what? Us?"

He was clearly caught off guard, and even Emma was, too. She winced at what she was about to say, "yes. I just need some space."

"It's Sean, isn't it?" He growled, "I'm not stupid. The way you two have been sharing looks. And do you really think I didn't notice that wink?"

Her stare was glued to the asphalt as she nodded her head.

"Fine," she could feel his eyes burn holes through her, "have fun with that curly-haired meathead. You'll be crawling back to me before you know it."

Emma's stare remained at the ground until she heard his footsteps grow farther and father in the distance. She adjusted the bag on her shoulder and practically raced to shops class.

Emma had never stepped foot in any shop class before. Ever. She stuck her head in and scanned the room until she noticed Sean's back. Practically tip-toeing, she did her best to sneak up on the boy, until she was close enough to cover his eyes with her hands.

"Guess who?" She sing-songed. The guys working around her stared, but she didn't care.

"Judging by the vanilla honey I smell," Sean took in a deep breath, "Manny?"

Emma playfully slapped his shoulder.

"'Em," Sean turned to her now, confused as to why she was there and not in Biology, "what are you doing—,"

Emma pressed her lips to his, cutting him off before he could finish the sentence. He wanted to grab her hips and pull her closer, but the fact that he was still in the midst of wiping down one of his ratchets kept his hands full. As she pulled away, Sean basked in all the looks of envy from the guys around him.

"What was that for?" He placed the tool down and wiped the oil from his hands.

"I just think you're kinda cute," Emma teased, "you free tonight?"

Sean's face lit up, realizing what she was hinting at. He grabbed her waist this time, "for the Emma Nelson? Always."

He pressed one more kiss to her lips, clenching the bottom one between his teeth gently, before pulling away, "I'll pick you up at six. Dinner and a movie. On me."

Emma nodded rapidly as she backed away toward the door, not taking her eyes off the boy until she reached the door.

"Man, you're so lucky," Kirk Fields chuckled, "Emma's so hot. I thought she was with Mrs. H's son. Paul or whatever?"

"Peter?" Sean scoffed, "he's old news."

The end of the day couldn't come fast enough. Luckily, he had shops all afternoon. He could distract himself. Sean was about ready to jump out of his skin with excitement. He couldn't wait to tell his sister the good news.

"Al!" He called from down the hallway. At her locker stood JT and Manny, too. "Did you hear the news?"

"Yeah," she held back her excitement, "I'm really happy for you both."

Her tense response didn't deter him, "lets get out of here."

"Bye guys," Alice said to her friends as she placed a hand on JT's shoulder before being whisked away by her brother.

Manny said nothing, only glaring at Sean as they walked past.

Sean seemed to noticed Manny's disdain as they reached the front doors of Degrassi, "what's up with her?"

Alice was too distracted to respond. In the distance, she spotted Peter squirming around his mother's office, cautious and appearing very suspicious. Her eyes squinted in his direction as she watched him check if the coast was clear before slipping into her office. She scowled under her breath; that twerp as up to something.

"Al?" Sean's voice brought her back.

She shook her head and widened her eyes. She figured she was just being paranoid.

Alice smiled, trying to remove the lingering thoughts from her mind.

"So, about that date tonight with Emma?"
