Chapter 0: The beginning of the Rider Card Game.
Yu-Gi-Oh!, or Duel Monsters, a popular card game, has captivated fans around the world for so many years. Now it is hard to find someone that does not know a thing about this card game, considering its popularity. The game is about the player taking the role of a duelist; from there, they will summon various powerful monster cards, cast spell cards, and even set up trap cards. Over the years, there had been many changes in the rules of the game, but that does not prevent players from building their own strategy, their own play style, and that is what makes the game so unique to this day.
And we also have Kamen Rider, a very popular tokusatsu show. The series follows a masked hero, who is often using a special belt to transform into many unique suits, fighting evil organizations and various monstrous foes. With each year, the show presented to the audience a new protagonist, a new story, power, and themes ranging from justice and heroism to personal sacrifice. With a long-time history, the show had evolved into an icon, known both in Japan and around the world.
So, what was the reason why I explaining all of this for you then? Well, nothing much, I was just wondering what would happen if these two series above crossover with each other, Duel Monster cards with Kamen Rider power. And that's why, I presented to you, my protagonist for this new story of mine.
It was currently nighttime, and now we are closing in on our protagonist, a young boy around 15 years old with messy brown hair, a tired golden eye indicate that he hadn't slept much for the past few days. Can't blame him though, since the project that he dedicates is almost finished. Fortunately, since he was an orphan and living alone, no one nagged him about sleeping early anyway.
"Almost done, one more effect annnnnd…. There, finish." The boy breath out a long sigh of relief as he finally relaxed his hand.
You might wonder what this little project is that he is so obsessed with. Well, to put it simply, the boy is a huge fan of both Kamen Rider and Duel Monsters, so he had been anticipating the day that the Rider that he loves so much would appear in the card game. Although there are already hero cards such as E-Hero, D-Hero, and even M-Hero, which is the closest to the Kamen Rider, it is still not enough. The boy wants more; he wants to see the original Kamen Rider on the card, to see the hologram of the Rider versus other monster cards. That's why, when he can't wait any longer, he decides to take the matter into his own hands. From then, he had been creating many, many Rider cards with their original name and effect. And today marks the final card that he is creating.
As he carefully placed the last card for the last deck into his personal box that named Heisei Rider, we can see some of the names of the previous decks that he had finished: Ancient Rider, Mirror Rider, Memory Rider, … But before we could see the name of all the decks, he had already closed the box off. Don't want to reveal too much in the prologue, eh?
"It's finally over, I've finished all the Rider cards. Well, all the Heisei Rider to be precise, don't know if I should get my hands on the Showa and Reiwa Rider yet."
He gives out a long yawn before looking at the clock, it's already 1 o'clock in the morning.
"Oh no, I have to sleep now, or I will be late for work later."
With that, he quickly changes into his pajamas and wraps himself in the blanket. It was no sooner than sleep finally took him. Tomorrow would be another normal day for him: wake up, eat breakfast, work until sunset, and go home.
But something strange had happened; from inside the Heisei Rider box, a small discussion involving all of the cards had taken place.
"What do guys think, should we give the boy another chance to live the life that he wants?" The card with the image of a man in a pin- I mean magenta suit said.
"I'm not against it, he is a good kid. His passion for the Rider is so strong that it makes even us notice him." This comes from another one wearing the armor half green, half black.
"And who know, we might even have a good show to watch." This one, he is not in the image of a Rider, but a red Oni.
With all the Rider come to an agreement, the first magenta guy had concluded.
"Alright, if there is no objection, then I declare that the boy will go to the world of GX, he will be given a new name, living a new life, a life dedicated to his passion. Hope your life will be filled with joy, kid."
The boy's body soon enveloped in white light along with his deck box. And when the light dies down, the room is now empty, no sign of him ever living in there.
chirp, chirp, chirp*
The birds had already begun singing, indicating the morning had come, with the sunshine on the boy's face, he grumbled. "Okay, who is opening the curtain? I swear if you're not close it right now, I will punch you."
But then he realizes something: Where is his blanket, and why is the bed he is sleeping on so hard? He immediately sprung open his eyes, and to his shock, he is now sleeping on a park bench. He sat upright and looked around him; this park is so different, unlike any other park he had been to or any that he could recognize.
Right when he starts to get panicked, he saw a police officer coming his way. The boy immediately rushes to the police to ask. "Excuse me, sir."
The officer notices him. "What's wrong, kid?"
"I'm sorry, but I kinda lost at the moment. Can you tell me where I am right now?" the boy asked.
"Hm, have you lost your memory or something? Well, if you hadn't noticed yet, we are now in the park that is just close to the Kaiba Corp."
"What!? The Kaiba Corp? What are you…? But then he looked at the way that the officer was pointing his finger, and there he saw it, two big statues of Blue-Eyes White Dragon placed at the entrance of the building with the name Kaiba Co and KC logo.
"Judging from your outfit, you must be a new student that will be enrolled in Duel Academy, huh? Weird taste, most kids would have bought the blue one or yellow in hope of getting in the Obelisk or Ra dorm, but there is still one more month before the school starts."
"My outfit?" He looks back at what he was wearing, a red jacket with white collar and the white part that reach the end of his chest. This is nothing new aside from the fact that this is the outfit from the series Yu-Gi-Oh! GX.
"This can't be…" The boy mumbled.
"Anyway, do you have your ID card on you? I can help find a place for you if you need."
"My ID." The boy start searching every conner of his pocket, from his red jacket to his pant but to no avail.
"Maybe it's in your card box you left over there?" The officer point at the bench that the boy wake up from. Why only now did he notice that the box also here with him?
He ran back and took the box, it was indeed his, as the words Heisei Rider were still there. He opened it, the cards were still neatly placed just as when he closed it, but there was one other thing inside, one that he didn't remember putting in, his ID card. He holds the ID and starts reading. His photo, his date of birth, everything is the same, but there is one thing that has changed.
"Wait a second, my name? My name is… Juuga Karizaki."
And done for the prologue.
Hey everyone, so I'm still alive and all, just life and lazy. Chapter 4 for the Fire Emblem crossover had been finished about 40% like two years ago, but I was too lazy to continue. I still want to write to know what will happened with my writing and will finish it eventually, just not right now.
So, to make up for it, I decided to write down the ideal I've been having for a while now. A Kamen Rider and Yu-Gi-Oh! GX crossover with my own OC. Every once in a while, my head just pop with some weird effect for the Rider if they were Monster Card. So here we are.
This was just on a whim so I don't know if I will continue, like I already know what I should do for the duel in the first episode of the anime. But after that, it's a blank.
Anyway, hope you like this prologue and I will see the next time I post something.

Oh yeah, since this is a Yu-Gi-Oh! Fanfic, I suppose I will post two Rider card that I will use in the next chapter.
1) Mirror Rider – Raia
Level 4
Attribute: Water
Type: Warrior/Effect
ATK/DEF: 1200/1500
Effect: Once per turn, target one monster card on the field, add half of that card ATK to this card until the end phase.
2) Mirror World (field spell)
Effect: When this card is activated, monsters with the name "Mirror Rider" will be sent to the graveyard after 5 turns; other monsters will be sent after 2 turns.
