Thomas Curry lives in the Lighthouse where he found Atlanna all washed up during the Storm. He took her in & they fell in love. Together,They had a child named Arthur. Atlanna decided to leave after she reveals tells Tom where she came from. Before she left,Atlanna gave her son the Necklace.
Several Years Later,Arthur was arrested for breaking into a dolphin habitat.
Arthur tells Tom that he hears the dolphins speaking to him. Then,Arthur sense a bunch of Fishermen are trying to hunt the whale. Arthur stops them. One of the Fishermen was aiming his Harpoon gun at him,but Tom steps in and took it for him. After Arthur freed the Whale,the Dying Tom tells Arthur that his Mother is the Queen of Atlantis. Arthur visit Tom's friend, Stephen Shin,who has been studying about Atlantis. At the Lighthouse,Arthur notice the intruder,who turns out to be a woman named Mera,who has been sent by Atlanna. They arrived at Atlantis where they meet Vulko,who took him to see his Mother.
Fisher King scolds them for failing,but learned about Arthur. He hires two pirates,Eel & Scavenger to hunt down Arthur. Later,Arthur begun training.
Arthur meets Garth,who wants to become a warrior.
Then,Eel & Scavenger attacks the Kingdom,killing two soldiers,injured one, & capturing Arthur. He was taken to Fisher King's lair where he reveals that they were in an alliance with Orvax until his death after one day the one who is human will fulfill his destiny to take the throne. Mera & Garth managed to save him & escapes. They have located the Trident that once belong to Arthur's Ancestors,Atlan. Arthur puts on an orange and green suit.
Arthur confronts Fisher King and faces with him while Mera fought with Eel & Garth fought with Scavenger. Mera manages to to defeat Eel & save Garth by killing Scavenger. Arthur finally kills Fisher King.
After Eel was arrested,Atlanna assures Arthur that Fisher King was only the beginning & there will be more. Arthur will be ready when they attacked. While training Garth,Arthur is alerted of Yacht was catching fire. He tells Garth to keep practicing while he manage to save them,dubbing the name "Aquaman".

Mera was secretly in contact with her Father,who tells her to do what she must.
Post-Credits:
Shin tells Arthur that he's not the only Warrior. He shows him the picture of woman in armor with a Lasso.
