Chapter 02 the Search for the Crown and Familiar Faces
Miko and Twilight were about to begin Exploring, Before Miko pulled Twilight to the Side. "What's wrong Miko?" Twilight Asked.
Miko looked around to see if anybody was listening Before he turned to her "Twilight I think it's best that you don't tell anybody that you're a pony princess from another dimension or That magic exists."
At this Twilight looked at him in Confusion "What? Why?" She asks.
"For the first part, really think about this Twilight. How would you react if you were someone in this dimension that has no magic at all and were told by another person that they were a magical pony princess from another dimension? You'd probably think they were crazy" Miko explained, his eyes searching Twilight's for any signs of understanding.
Twilight's curiosity was piqued, but she couldn't deny the logic in Miko's words. She nodded slowly, "Okay, I guess that makes sense. But what do we do if we need help?"
"We will cross that bridge when it comes down to it" Miko assured her with a wink, "For now, let's focus on finding the crown. And remember, we need to be as discreet as possible. We don't know if Sunset Shimmer might be looking for it too."
"By the way in this world we say anybody instead of anypony, that also applies to other words like nobody or somebody, got it?" Miko said
Twilight nodded as she tried to adjust her vocabulary, "I got it, Miko."
"Now let's think of a cover story" They took a moment to think a minute later Miko came up with one "how about this? you're my pen pal from manehattan who had to stay with me because your parents went on a month long business trip."
Twilight thought about it for a minute before she nodded, "Hmm, I think that'll work. but what if we run into Sunset Shimmer?"
Miko shrugged "Like I said we will cross that bridge when it comes to it, but we've got to be careful when we get it from her. We don't know exactly where she's hidden it, so we might have to make you a student here. We will need to talk to principal Celestia to get you enrolled, besides... I kinda need to go there anyways" Miko said, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
Twilight looked surprised. "What do you mean you need to go there?"
Miko looked away blushing in embarrassment "I'm Uhh...kinda late for school..." He muttered.
Twilight just gave Miko a look that said 'really' and blinked "seriously?" She asked in a deadpan tone.
At her look Miko stuttered "H-hey i-it's not my fault! My alarm clock broke down in the middle of the night and I overslept, everybody has days like that so cut me some slack Twilight." He said awkwardly.
"That does seem like a legitimate reason." Said Spike standing next to Twilight.
Miko looked at the purple dragon turned dog "oh yeah, Spike. In this world animals aren't exactly known for their ability to speak. So, it might be best if you stick to barking for now."
Spike nodded in understanding, a hint of disappointment flickering across his features. "Oh, okay then."
With their cover story thought up and a plan in place Miko and Twilight were about to explore the school before the bell rang and a plethora of students began to walk through the hallways.
This overwhelmed Miko, Twilight, and Spike, as The Three of Them scrambled to get through the crowd of students Miko finally made it back to Twilight and Spike as he led them through the crowd but this leads to her getting her leg stuck in between some students.
She pulled hard before she managed to free herself and accidentally rolled backwards into someone's knee "woah! you okay there" a male voice said.
Twilight looked up to see a boy of seventeen years of age, he had spikey blue hair, pale yellow skin, and blue eyes, he was wearing a black jacket with red and white stripe, white t-shirt with a cutie mark of blue shield and yellow thunderbolt, blue jeans with cuffs, and Black Converse low top sneakers size 8, this was Flash Sentry
He offered a hand to Twilight who, much like with Miko, slowly placed her hand into his before he pulled her up, she only nodded to his question before Miko spoke up "Hey Flash,"

Anyways during junior year was around the time I was getting a good handle on my powers and one day Flash Sentry and I were partnered up for a science project and... well I can honestly say we're acquaintances at best since after the project we never interacted all that much.
but to tell you the truth if there is anybody I can trust besides Twilight, Spike, and the Rainbooms, it's Flash.
Flash looked at Miko in Surprise "Miko?! Dude you're really late man! you already missed first period!"
At this Miko couldn't help but groan "don't remind me, you can blame my alarm clock because it just decided to die while I was asleep" he grumbled as he crossed his arms.
Flash gave a sympathetic chuckle "Yeah I've had days like that too, who's your new friend?" He asked, nodding at Twilight.
Miko smiled and put a hand on Twilight's shoulder "Oh, this is my pen pal from Manehattan Twilight Sparkle, she is staying with me while her parents are on a business trip. Twilight this Flash Sentry,"
Flash smiled at Twilight "it's nice to meet you Twilight" he says before he reaches his hand out for a handshake. Twilight hesitated for a moment, her cheeks flushing with a faint blush, before she tentatively accepted the handshake.
Miko couldn't help but be a bit confused at her reaction then remembered in the movie she gained a crush on Flash 'well I'll be a monkey's uncle, guess it really is love at first sight,' Miko thought in amusement.
Flash however, didn't catch onto what was going on, and raised an eyebrow glancing at Twilight with a hint of confusion "what's up with her" he asked Miko.
Miko snapped out of his current train of thought, offering an explanation with a casual shrug, "oh, she's just a bit shy when she meets new people, that's all, it's been like that since the day we first met in person."
At this explanation Flash slowly nodded "Umm, okay. Well, I gotta get going now. See you later Miko, you too Twilight. Oh, and dude try to get yourself a new alarm clock." he said the last part in a joking manner as he started walking into the crowd of students.
Miko just shook his head with a small grin before he turned back to Twilight who was staring into the direction Flash had gone, a faint blush coloring her cheeks, he walked up to her and snapped his fingers in front of her face "Hey, Earth to Twilight, you there?" Miko says in amusement.
She blinked a few times, as if waking up from a dream, before finally meeting his gaze "h-huh? w-what?" She managed to say still a bit distracted
Miko raised an eyebrow studying Twilight's flustered expression in slight concern "what's up with you? Earlier, you were talking up a storm. Now you couldn't get a single word out in front of Flash. What's wrong?"
Spike chimed in, his curiosity evident in his tone " yeah, that definitely seemed odd, are you okay Twilight?" He asked, Miko already knew the reason why, but he wanted to hear it from her anyways.
Twilight stammered nervously, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "W-well... I-i don't know... I just... Just... Froze when I saw him." She said quietly at the end.
Miko nodded slowly, deciding to address it later. "Ooookay then. We'll figure out whatever it was later, let's go." He said as he gained a barely noticeable mischievous glint in his eyes 'looks like I got me some teasing material later on, heh heh' Miko thought inward smirking.
Twilight looked back in Flash's direction one last time, her cheeks still tinged with a faint blush before she followed after Miko, The Three of them walked in silence for a few minutes before they heard faint sounds of raised voices
Miko narrowed his eyes knowing just who those voices belonged to, he turned to Twilight "do you hear that Twilight?" He asked, she nodded, her curiosity piqued and took a few steps ahead of him to investigate.
Miko followed a few steps behind, the tension in the air palpable as they approached the source of the commotion.
Soon enough, they found themselves witnessing a heated argument between Fluttershy and Sunset Shimmer, with Sunset having cornered Fluttershy against some lockers.
Miko watched the argument stoicly with narrowed eyes 'and there is the bacon-headed evil queen wannabe everybody' he thought as he and Twilight stayed in hidden silence
Fluttershy was a slender seventeen years old girl with light yellow skin, teal eyes, long pink hair with a butterfly hair-clip, and pink (or lavender) eyeshadow. She wears a white tank top, a lime green skirt with her pony counterpart's cutie mark and a pink hem on the bottom, pink socks with white polka-dots, and lime green boots with white trim on the bottom.
Sunset Shimmer is a slender seventeen year old girl with light amber skin, she had wavy back length red and yellow hair reminiscent of flames (or bacon). She wears a black leather sweatshirt over a magenta shirt with her pony counterpart's cutie mark, an orange skirt with magenta and yellow lines, and black V-shaped knee-high boots with magenta flame designs.
Fluttershy's voice quivered with apology as she tried to explain herself. "Oh, I'm really sorry. I-i just found it and... and I thought I should give it to her. I-i didn't know you had dropped it..." She nervously
Sunset Shimmer's expression darkened with frustration "Well I did! And I was about to get it before you swooped in and ruined everything! You shouldn't pick up things that don't belong to you!" She shouted.
Fluttershy's response was barely a whisper but didn't go unnoticed by Sunset. "Well it doesn't really belong to you either" she whispered meekly.
Sunset's temper flared, as she slammed her hands forcefully against the lockers surrounding Fluttershy, her anger evident in every movement
"EXCUSE ME!" she shouted, pissed.
Fluttershy trembled in fear, shrinking back until she was sitting on the floor, her eyes wide with terror. "N-nothing..." She squeaked meekly.
Miko seeing this, gritted his teeth wanting nothing more than to walk up and tell Sunset back off. 'god I knew she was such a bitch before and during all this but...' he thought as he clenched his fist as he forced himself to stay put as Twilight glared as well
Sunset Shimmer sneered at Fluttershy, her tone dripping with disdain. "That's what I thought. It's as good as mine, and you know it. You really are pathetic. It's no wonder your best friends are all stray animals."
Hearing this Miko was really pissed as he did everything in his body to not charge in and maim Sunset, while the otaku part of his mind was repeatedly screaming 'MUST PROTECT DANDERE!!!'

However Miko didn't have to wait long as Sunset's cruel insult toward Fluttershy ignited a spark of anger within Twilight and Spike.
Twilight couldn't contain her outrage any longer. "How dare you speak to her that way!" She said,
Her voice rang out with authority, gaining Sunset's attention before she turned to Twilight with a mean Glare "What did you say?!" She demanded.
Little to no choice, Miko decided to step in.
He walked up with his arms crossed "she said how dare you speak to her that way or are you deaf Shimmer?" He glared at her.
Twilight's mind raced with recognition as she pieced together the identity of this girl, 'wait that's Sunset Shimmer?!'
Sunset turned Miko "well, well, if it isn't the Phantom. this is a surprise. I thought you don't make friends." Sunset said mockingly.
Miko's glare intensified "I don't make friends with people who bully others," he shot back, his voice icy.
Sunset rolled her eyes "Oh please, like you're one to talk. You're the school's biggest loner."
Miko's expression didn't waver "That's because I have my reasons and leave it at that. Now, why don't you leave Fluttershy alone?"
Sunset raised an eyebrow "Or what? You gonna make me?" She challenged.
Miko Smirked "last I remember I always managed to avoid your bullying or one of your cruel pranks unscathed, so you don't exactly know what I'm capable of." he taunted.
Sunset's eyes narrowed "You think you're so clever, don't you? But I've got my eyes on you, Phantom. You're not fooling anyone with your little act of heroism not after what happened two years ago." At this she smirked
At her words, Miko gritted his teeth and glared at her "I'd rather you'd not talk about 'that' Sunset." He said in a voice that said 'shut up or else'.
Sunset raised an eyebrow "Oh? What's the matter, Phantom? You don't like your new friend to know about your little... Fallout?" She smirked, enjoying the discomfort she saw in Miko's eyes.
Twilight was looking between them wondering what Sunset was talking about 'What are they talking about? What happened two years ago? and what did Miko mean by 'that'? And what does she mean by fallout' she thought.
Knowing she won their little exchange, Sunset shifted her attention to Twilight "and you must be new here. I can speak to anyone anyway I want. So I suggest that you and Tsuburaya here had better not get involved in anything I do from this moment forward."
Sunset Shimmer's dismissive words hung in the air as she walked away, leaving a tense atmosphere in her wake.
Miko turned his attention back to Fluttershy who was still on the floor, visibly shaken up by the encounter "You Okay?" He asked Fluttershy.
Fluttershy nodded her head slightly "Y-yes, I'm okay." She replied softly as she stood up, her voice trembling slightly.
Miko reached out and offered his hand to her "Well, I'm sorry you had to deal with that. Bacon head has always been a real peach." He said sarcastically as he helped her up.
Fluttershy gave a small smile "Thanks... Miko, right?" She replied quietly as she heard of the rumors of the Phantom of CHS.
Miko nodded "Yeah, that's me. Are you okay to walk? You don't look so good," he asked with genuine concern, his hand still supporting her.
Fluttershy nodded again, taking a deep breath to steady herself "I-I'll be fine," she murmured.
Fluttershy then turned to Twilight, her eyes filled with gratitude and admiration. "and thank you as well miss. You're the only other person besides Miko that stood up to Sunset Shimmer."
Twilight's tone carried a hint of determination as she responded. "Well, it's not like I was going to sit there and do nothing."
Fluttershy's gentle voice broke the tension, her curiosity evident as she addressed Twilight. "I don't think I've seen you around school before. I'm guessing you must be new here?"
Miko stepped in to give an explanation, his voice calm and reassuring. "She is, she's actually my pen pal and she's staying with me while her parents are away." He says with a nod.
Twilight's nerves eased as she introduced herself. "O-oh, yes, of course! My name's Twilight Sparkle, and it's very nice to meet you."
Fluttershy's voice carried a hint of shyness. "I'm Fluttershy."she whispered.
"Sorry? What was that?" Twilight asks, not quite catching Fluttershy's whisper.
"It's Fluttershy." She said speaking up a little louder, her voice still soft and gentle.
"I'm sorry it sounds like you're saying Fluttershy, but that can't..." Before Twilight could say anymore, Miko placed a hand on her shoulder and whispered in her ear.
"Twilight, remember what I said about the multiverse theory, that there's a chance you might meet some familiar faces in this world?" He quietly reminded her of their talk earlier.
Twilight's eyes slightly widened as she looked back at Fluttershy, realizing that this must be the counterpart of one her best friends back in Equestria, She nodded glancing at Miko. "Oh, right," she whispered back.
as Miko and Twilight were having their little quiet conversation. Fluttershy noticed Spike who was standing by Twilight's legs, and instantly a big smile forms on her face.
Oh my goodness!" Running over she stops and kneels in front of him. "Who's this little guy?"
Miko couldn't help but sweat-drop as he saw her complete change in demeanor 'jeez... Talk about a complete 180' he thought.
Twilight hesitated for a moment before answering "That's Spike. My, uhh...dog!"
Fluttershy's face lit up with a warm smile as she reached into her backpack, pulling out a dog biscuit and offering it to Spike.
"Oh he's so cute!" She encouraged, holding out the treat for him "go on, eat up, little pup!"
Spike looks at the treat curiously before trying it. When he did he liked it, eating the treat whole.
"Wouldn't you just give anything to know what they're really thinking?" Fluttershy said with a fond smile.
Twilight chuckled softly, glancing down at Spike. "He usually just tells me." She said, making Miko inwardly panic at her blunder.
He lightly tapped Twilight's shoulder, and gestured with a throat-slash motion, silently telling her to keep Spike's secret.
Fluttershy furrowed her brows in confusion "Oh, w-what do you mean?" She asks.
Spike, sensing the need to keep up appearance, mimicked Miko's earlier gesture before letting out a series of barks, his tail wagging eagerly.
Miko leaned closer to Twilight "Twilight remember, dogs don't talk here" his voice barely above a whisper
Twilight nodded sheepishly, acknowledging her mistake "Right, sorry, I forgot." She whispered back.
Fluttershy looked between them, her curiosity growing by the second. "What are you two talking about?"
Twilight and Miko turned back to her with nervous smiles "Oh, uh, nothing! Hehehe, Nevermind. You said you found something that belonged to Sunset Shimmer. Was it by any chance a crown?" Twilight asks, hoping to change the subject.
Hearing this Fluttershy looked at Twilight in surprise "How'd you know?" She asks.
Twilight hesitated for a second, trying to come up with an explanation "Uhh... Lucky guess." To which Miko facepalmed and quietly groaned. "Do you still have it?" Twilight asks.
"Mm-mmm" her negative shake of the head slightly disappointed Twilight and Miko.
"But do you know what happened to it?" Twilight asks with hope and urgency.
"Mm-hmm" Fluttershy's hesitant nod brought a glimmer of hope to Twilight's eyes.
However that hope was overshadowed by Fluttershy's next words as she explained what happened to the missing crown.
"This morning, I was passing out flyers for the animal shelter, like I do every Wednesday..."
FLASHBACK
Fluttershy stood near the wondercolt statue, a stack of fliers in her hands, she wore a hopeful expression, eager to recruit volunteers for Canterlot's animal shelter.
"Canterlot's animal shelter needs more volunteers. Won't you help an animal that can't help itself?" She asks as she extends a flier toward passing students, her voice soft and pleading.
However, they hurried past without a second glance, too busy with their own agendas to stop and listen.
As Fluttershy watched them go, she felt a wave of disappointment, before she let the fliers slip from her hands, the papers fluttering to the ground.
Disheartened, she slowly sat down, tears welling up in her eyes. "Oh..." She started crying when-
BANG!
Fluttershy winced in pain as something struck the back of her head with a full thud.
"Ow!" Startled, she reached up to rub the sore spot, her fingers brushed against an unexpected object.
With a puzzled frown, she looked down to see a crown lying at her feet.
It was a gold crown with a magenta six star-shaped gem on top of it.
She gingerly picked up the crown, examining it closely.
FLASHBACK END
"I don't know how it got there. But I didn't want anything to happen to it, so I decided to give it to Principal Celestia." Fluttershy says as she finishes explaining how she found the crown.
Miko and Twilight exchanged a knowing look. The crown was at the principal's office, that meant they had to come up with a good reason to get it.
Miko nodded in thanks "well...at least we know where it is now. Thanks for the info Fluttershy. Come on Twilight."
The three of them were about to leave before Fluttershy spoke up again "Oh wait!" She calls out getting their attention.
"You're not really supposed to have pets on school grounds." She says while pointing at Spike.
"You might want to tuck him into your backpack. That's what I do." Fluttershy said as she turned around and her backpack opens to reveal a few of her animal friends.
They jump out before she crouches down and hugs them. "They just get so lonely when I'm at school all day."
With a nod Miko scooped up Spike and gently tucked him in his backpack.
"Oh okay thank you" Twilight said as Miko furrowed his brow, as he remembered their previous conversation.
"Wait a minute didn't I suggest that before?" He asked Twilight.
Twilight giggled softly, acknowledging the oversight. "Hehe, must've slipped my mind."
And before Miko could retort the bell rang, signaling the start of classes,
"Oh no! I'm late for class! See you later!" She quickly picked her animal friends up and tucked them back into her backpack, before with a wave she ran off to her next class.
As they were left alone Miko couldn't help but feel admiration for Fluttershy's compassion and kindness get stronger "it's amazing how much she cares about animals" Miko said.
Twilight nodded in agreement, a fond smile playing on her lips. "Yeah, we've definitely seen that first hand." She says
Miko caught the small exchange between Twilight and Spike, a knowing smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
"I'm guessing there's a Fluttershy back in Equestria?" Miko asks even if he secretly knew already.
Twilight nodded at his question, a nostalgic smile crossing her face. "Sure is, she is one of our best friends"
"So who else are your friends back in Equestria?" Miko leaned in attentively, wanting to know more about the rest of the mane six.
Twilight's eyes lit up as she talked about her friends. "Well, there's Applejack, a hardworking pony who is as honest as the day is long. Then there's Rarity, she's a fashion designer with a heart of gold and an eye for beauty. And Pinkie Pie, she's the life of the party, always full of joy and surprises. And finally Rainbow Dash, she's the fastest flyer in all of Equestria and loves adventure," Twilight listed them off, her eyes sparkling with pride for her friends.
Miko couldn't help but admire how strong their friendship is. "By the sound of it sounds like you guys have a strong bond." He says with a small smile.
"We do," Twilight says with a nod "We've been through a lot together. They are like my second family."
Miko nodded, understanding her sentiment "That's something special." He said.
As they turned to leave, Spike poked his head out of Miko's backpack and whispered something to Twilight.
"What's that Spike?" Twilight leaned in to listen.
"Well," Spike whispered, "since we know where the crown is, we should get it back before it causes any more trouble."
Miko nodded in agreement "Good point, Spike. But we need to be careful. I don't think Sunset's going to just let it go."
Before they left Miko gave one last glance to where Fluttershy left 'hmm, maybe I should volunteer for the animal shelter when I have the time.' he thought.
Soon the two of them, along with Spike, made their way to the principal's office, their minds racing with ideas on how to retrieve the crown without arousing suspicion.
Once they reached the principal's office Miko gave a nervous knock, once he heard a muffled 'come in' he looked at Twilight before he opened the door he entered first with Twilight following closely behind.
"H-hey Principal Celestia..." Miko said weakly with a nervous grin knowing he was really late.
Principal Celestia has a pale pink skin tone with a mix of green, blue and pink hair, purple eyes, matching eyebrows, dark magenta-ish lipstick. She dons a purple shirt with a white collar and a matching stripe, a tan blazer with a pin of her pony counterpart's cutie mark, purple pants, and gold shoes. She also has a purple bracelet on her left wrist, and a purple and gold wristwatch on her right wrist.
She looked up from her desk, her face initially obscured by a folder which she set down upon seeing them. "Miko? You are awfully late. We assumed that you were sick today" she says with a raised eyebrow.
Miko just scratched the back of his neck as he looked sheepish "yeah, sorry about that Principal Celestia, my alarm clock stopped working in the middle of the night so I slept in" he explained
Principal Celestia signed softly but nodded in understanding. "Very well. I shall excuse you for today since you're on time for the most part. But please, do try to get to school on time okay?"
Miko nodded with a smile. "Will do. But anyways, that's not the only reason why I'm here. I came to help enroll my pen pal here at CHS."
Principal Celestia's gaze shifted to Twilight, her eyes narrowing slightly as she studied her. "Pen pal, you say?"
Twilight nodded nervously, trying to keep her composure. "Yes, ma'am. I'm Twilight Sparkle from Manehattan. I'm here to stay with Miko while my parents are out of town."
Principal Celestia's gaze softened as she offered a warm smile. "Welcome to Canterlot High, Twilight. I hope you'll find our school to be as enriching as Miko has."
Twilight returned the smile, though her mind was racing. 'I hope she doesn't suspect anything about me being a pony from another dimension,' she thought, her heart thumping in her chest.
Miko nudged her shoulder reminding her of why the both of them were there. "Principal Celestia, I understand that Fluttershy found a crown this morning and gave it to you" Twilight says.
She nodded. "Yes, I've had Vice Principal Luna put it away for safekeeping. I don't know how it ended up on the front lawn." She said as she stood up from her desk and put the folder she was holding away into a drawer.
"Were you interested in running for Princess of the Fall Formal this year?" She asked Twilight, raising an eyebrow.
"Uh, well no, you see that I…Princess of the Fall Formal?" Twilight asks, stumbling over her words.
"It's Canterlot High School's ball Fall Dance." Celestia explains.
"Like the Grand Galloping Gala?" Twilight asks, her eyes widening in surprise.
Principal Celestia's brows furrowed slightly in confusion "Grand Galloping Gala?" She asks.
Miko subtly nudged Twilight, to give a simple explanation. "Oh, uh... It was a big deal at my old school."
"And was there a Princess?" Celestia asks, her curiosity piqued.
Twilight nodded"Yes! But, she wasn't exactly a student." She said, trying to divert the conversation.
Principal Celestia explains the tradition at Canterlot High. "Here at Canterlot High the students pick one of their peers to represent them, she receives her crown at the Fall Formal." She says, her tone carrying a sense of pride for the school's customs.
While they were talking about the dance, Miko was staring at a row of photos displaying Sunset Shimmer who was the Fall Formal Princess for the last three years in a row.
He noticed how her demeanor changes in each photo, from neutral to increasingly sinister with the third one is her giving off an evil laugh like a Saturday morning cartoon villain making him sweat-drop.
'What the hell...? Seriously, what sane person would pose like that? That just screams 'I'm evil! bow before me!' Good grief.' Miko thought with a deadpan expression.
He shaked his head before he followed behind Twilight and Principal Celestia as they were walking out of the office.
"Hmm...You asked me if I was interested in running, can anyone run?" Twilight asks walking out.
"From what I heard? Yeah." Miko said with a shrug.
Principal Celestia nodded in agreement "That's right, to answer your question Twilight yes, you just have to let the head of the Fall Formal Planning Committee know you'd like to be in the ballot. Was there anything else?" She said,
Twilight shook her head. "Uh... Nope, that's it" she said trying to sound casual.
Principal Celestia nodded, "I see, well Twilight since you are new here at Canterlot High, I will give you the same schedule Miko has." She said with a reassuring smile, she handed Twilight her schedule.
"Thank you Principal Celestia." Twilight said, taking the schedule with a mix of relief and excitement.
"You're welcome, Twilight. Now, you two had better hurry to your first class. You're already late." She said with a knowing smile.
Miko and Twilight nodded, and with a final thank you, they quickly exited the office.
As soon as the door closed, Spike popped his head out of Miko's backpack, his snout covered in Cheese, which Miko noticed.
"Spike, why is your face covered in Cheese?" Miko asked, hoping it wasn't what he thought it was.
Spike grinned sheepishly, a piece of cheese sticking to his teeth. "Well, I was a bit hungry," he mumbled.
Miko blanched "Dude! That was my grilled cheese sandwich for lunch!" He whined, as Twilight giggled.
"Sorry, I couldn't resist!" Spike said with a cheeky smile, swiping his tongue over his teeth to get the last bits of cheese off.
As Miko grumbled about his lost sandwich Spike turned to Twilight "Twilight, why didn't you just say the crown was yours and ask for it back?" He asks.
Twilight was about to answer before Miko quickly responded "Spike, come on, if hypothetically I somehow ended up in Equestria, turned into a pony, and tell somepony 'hey, I'm from a world with tall fleshy creatures that walk on two legs and have hands!', yeah they would definitely think I'm crazy." He says with a wry grin.
Spike and Twilight stared at Miko from his explanation. "Okay, you have a point Miko." he said.
"Looks like if we want to get my crown back, I'll have to become Canterlot High's Princess of the Fall Formal. So that's what I'm gonna do." Twilight declares as she threw her arms up into the air.
"And how exactly do you plan on doing that?" Spike asks skeptically, his eyes darting between Miko and Twilight.
"I have no idea." Twilight declares making both Spike and Miko facepalm.
Ignoring their reactions Twilight turned to Miko "any ideas Miko?" She asks with a hopeful look.
Miko sighed with a shrug before he leaned against a locker with his arms crossed "Well it's simple really, all you have to do is gain the respect of our fellow students in order for them to vote for you. If you gain enough votes from them, then you're sure to win." he explained.
"And how would we go about that exactly?" Twilight asks, raising an eyebrow at Miko's simplistic explanation.
Miko smirked."We need to show everybody that unlike Sunset Shimmer, you are a genuinely kind, caring, honest,and considerate, person that the school really deserves to have as the Fall Formal Princess." He said.
Twilight thought about the plan for a second before she nodded with a smile "that sounds like a solid plan." She said,
Miko nodded "yup, come on, we should head to class." He said as he got off the locker and began to walk as Spike ducked his head back in Miko's backpack.
Twilight followed not far behind Miko, her schedule in hand, feeling a mix of excitement and apprehension about the new challenge ahead.
