Chapter 03 The Phantom's Secrets and More faces

It was lunchtime and Twilight along with Miko was talking to Fluttershy as they were getting lunch.

"Look I know we've just met, but I was hoping you could help me with something." Twilight said as she picked up a plate of Veggie Burger.

"Of course." Fluttershy said with a gentle smile as she picked up a glass of water after getting her own veggie burger.

Twilight picked up a bowl of fruit salad as she started explaining "I've decided to run for Princess of the Fall Formal-"

However before she could finish Fluttershy gasped in shock as she accidentally spills a bowl of fruit salad all over Twilight's shirt, surprising both her and Miko.

"Oh! Oh, gosh!" Fluttershy said before she grabbed a bunch of napkins and tries to clean it up.

"Sorry. It's just, oh, running for Fall Formal Princess is a really bad idea," Fluttershy said as she tried to clean the stain and managed to get it off.

"Why?" Twilight asked, bewildered by Fluttershy's reaction. She looked down at her shirt, now sticky with fruit juice.

"I have a feeling I already know, but I think I should hear this too." Miko gave his two cents.

"Sunset Shimmer wants to be Fall Formal Princess, and when she wants something, she gets it! She'll make life awful for anyone who stands in her way. Just ask the girl who ran against her for Princess of the Spring Fling," Fluttershy said as she, Miko, and Twilight finished getting their lunch and started heading towards a table.

'Poor Rarity.' Miko thought as he winced, remembering what happened last year, as they took their seats.

"I have to try!" Twilight said with surprising determination.

"Oh, I don't think you understand. You'd have to convince everyone here to vote for you instead of her: the athletes, the fashionistas, the dramas, the eco-kids, the techies, the rockers…" Fluttershy listed off the various cliques at Canterlot High.

"Why is everypony–" Twilight started before Spike popped out of her backpack and smacked Twilight on the side of her head before disappearing again. "Uh, I mean everybody separated this way?" Twilight asked Fluttershy.

"Maybe it was different at your old school, but at CHS, everybody sticks to their own kind. One thing that they do have in common is that they know Sunset Shimmer is gonna rule the school until we graduate," Fluttershy said grimly, looking around the cafeteria.

"Well, I think it's time for a change." Miko said, catching the two girls' attention.

Miko smiled after taking a bite of his fruit salad "I promised Twilight here that I was going to help her win the Fall Formal and I don't go back on my word, the Title of Fall Formal Princess should be earned who is someone kind, brave, and caring, one who has the qualities of a true princess, not some spoiled brat of a bully like Sunset Shimmer." Miko said with a smirk.

Twilight looked at Miko with a mix of shock and admiration. She hadn't seen this side of him before. His eyes were full of conviction, a stark contrast to the indifferent tease she had known so far. "Miko, you really think I could do it?"

Miko nodded, his grin growing wider. "I know you can, Twilight. And I'm going to help you every step of the way."

Fluttershy looked at Miko surprised at his sudden seriousness and passion, he was completely different from what the rumors say about him as the Phantom of CHS.

Miko saw Fluttershy looking at him weirdly "what is it?" He asks her raising an eyebrow.

"You're not... like everyone says you are." She said, fidgeting with her napkin.

Miko took a sip of his drink before responding "And what do they say?" He knew but sometimes he enjoyed watching people's reactions when they realized he wasn't the lonewolf everyone painted him to be.

Fluttershy stuttered a bit, "W-well, you know, you're the Phantom of CHS, always alone, never speaks much, and... then there was what Sunset said."

At this Twilight remembered their earlier encounter with Sunset Shimmer and her words to Miko. "Miko, there's been something I've been wanting to ask"

Miko leaned back in his chair, waiting for Twilight to continue, "What is it?"

"Sunset Shimmer said something about two years ago, what did she mean and what's this about a fallout?" Twilight asked.

Miko sighed, setting down his apple. "It's a long story, Twilight. And one I'm not eager to talk about."

"But if it has anything to do with why you're helping me, I think I should know," Twilight said, her voice firm but understanding.

Miko looked conflicted, he really didn't want to talk about this, not until he made up for his mistake, feeling parched he reached for his glass of water.

Fluttershy had a hunch so she couldn't help but ask "does it have to do something with Rainbow Dash?"

Hearing his former best friend's name, he unconsciously shattered the glass of water in his hand with his super strength, luckily he had enhanced durability as well so his hand was completely unharmed.

Everyone in the cafeteria turned to look at the sudden noise, except for Miko, who was too lost in his thoughts to care about the mess he had made.

"Oh my goodness!" Fluttershy exclaimed, her eyes wide with concern. "Miko, are you okay?"

Miko stood up from the table "I'm fine" and what he said was true, his hand was fine " Fluttershy do you know where the party planning committee is?" He asked, trying to change the subject.

Twilight and Fluttershy shared a look, the tension in the air thick as molasses. Twilight decided not to push the subject for now, recognizing the pain in Miko's eyes. "Yes, They should be in the gymnasium after lunch," Fluttershy said, her voice soft.

Miko nodded, his thoughts racing. "We should head there now," he said, standing up and waving off the stares from the other students. He began to walk away, his mind a whirlwind of memories and unresolved feelings.

Twilight followed not too far behind, leaving a stunned Fluttershy at the table. She caught up to Miko in the hallway. "Miko, are you sure you don't want to talk about it?" she asked tentatively.

Miko stopped in his tracks and took a deep breath. "Not here, Twilight. But I promise, when the time is right, I'll tell you everything," he said, his voice low and serious.

Twilight nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. They walked in silence until they reached the gymnasium,

Soon they reached the gymnasium, which was decorated with all kinds of balloons, streamers, and confetti. It was clearly the handiwork of a certain pink poofy haired party girl.

Miko looked around "now where the heck is she?" He muttered under his breath, scanning the room for any sign of Pinkie Pie, the head of the party planning committee.

"INCOMING!" Twilight and Miko looked up to see a rainbow of streamers shooting towards them from the rafters above.

Miko's eyes widened as he reached out to catch some of the colorful ribbons. "What the-?" He exclaimed as he was suddenly engulfed in a whirlwind of paper and plastic.

"There she is." Miko said, pulling streamers off him and Twilight, before pointing to Pinkie Pie in the corner.

Pinkie Pie is a slender girl with pink skin, magenta fuzzy balloon-like hair, and blue eyes.

She has blue wristbands, and is wearing white strapless top with a purple collar and a pink heart on the chest, a blue jacket, a neon purple sash with a bow around her waist, a neon pink skirt with her cutie mark on it, and bright blue knee-high boots with white laces and pink bows on them.

Twilight walked up to her as Pinkie picked one of the balloon patterns off her skirt and inflated it like an actual balloon "Hi, I'm Twilight Sparkle and I— Pinkie Pie?" Twilight said, surprised to see another counterpart of one of her friends as Pinkie turns to her, her eyes lighting up with excitement at the sight of the new student.

She gasped "Are you psychic?" Pinkie asks, getting in Twilight's face, her eyes wide with excitement and curiosity.

"Uh I don't think so unless that's something you can do here?" Twilight asks, her eyes darting around nervously.

"Not usually." Pinkie said Pulling back before walking over to Miko. "Hey Miko, glad you could drop by. I could really use some help."

Some people can call him a hypocrite but even though he was a loner he would help Pinkie from time to time especially when it comes to the heavy lifting.

Miko rubbed the back of his neck "umm, sure but she needs your help first." Miko points at Twilight.

She nodded before turning to Pinkie "Fluttershy said this is where I'd find the head of the Fall Formal planning committee." Twilight said as a glare appeared on Pinkie's face.

"Fluttershy huh? Don't let the whole "shy" thing fool ya. She can be a real meanie." Pinkie Pie said with a frown as she crossed her arms.

"You two aren't friends?" Twilight asks, surprised as Pinkie shakes her head.

"You really waited a bit to get your name on the ballot. Dance is the day after tomorrow." Pinkie said, her expression a mix of surprise and skepticism.

"I'm new here." Twilight said nervously.

"I thought you didn't look familiar. Though now that I'm really looking at you. Do you have a twin sister who lives in the city and has a pet dog named Spike like that one?" Pinkie asks pointing to said dog at the end.

"Uh maybe." Twilight said unsure of what to make of Pinkie's question but then again it was probably Pinkie just being Pinkie.

Unknown to the two girls Miko slowly went pale as he heard Pinkie's question and nervously looked left and right, he gulped and tried to keep his cool 'dear god above, I hope she didn't see me with her' he thought nervously

"Thought so, just fill this out and you will officially be on the ballot." Pinkie said, taking out a clipboard and pen from her hair before presenting them to Twilight.

Seeing this Miko sweatdropped 'honestly sometimes I wonder how in the world does she fit those things in her hair? Next you'd be telling me that she can somehow fit a whole cake and pie in there all at once' he thought as he chuckled quietly to himself.

Twilight stares at the pen for a bit before grabbing it and writing down her name. Thankfully, during classes, Miko had taught Twilight how to write with her hands. It was a bit hit and miss during that, but Miko had managed to give her the ability to write at least somewhat neatly.

Once she was done she returned the clipboard and pen to Pinkie Pie "Wow. You have really bad handwriting." Pinkie said in surprise." It's like you've never held a pen before." She finished with a small frown.

Twilight chuckled nervously. "Is it?" She said, rubbing the back of her head.

The doors to the gymnasium before a blonde girl wearing a stetson carrying multiple crates entered "Somebody order a dozen cases of Fizzy Apple Cider?" She asks with a southern accent.

Miko quietly smirked 'and there's Applejack' he thought

Applejack is a slender girl with light orange skin, green eyes, and blonde hair tied to a low ponytail, and white freckles. Like her pony counterpart, she has a brown stetson on her head.

She is wearing a white shirt with a green collar with rolled up sleeves, a blue denim skirt held by a brown belt with a red apple-shaped buckle, and brown boots with the cutie mark on them.

"Oh! Oh! Me, me-me-me, me, yeah, ha-ha, me!" Pinkie said in her usual excitement

Applejack put the cases of Fizzy Apple cider on one of the tables as Twilight looked at her in surprise recognizing her.

"Can you bring in the rest?" She called out to her older brother Big Mac who was carrying a bunch of crates.

"Eeyup" he said walking in with said crates.

Big Macintosh is a tall boy with a lean build, he has a light gamboge hair, moderate sap green eyes and a pale, light grayish amaranth skin tone with freckles on his face. He is currently wearing a red jacket with brown collar over a white t-shirt, blue jeans with a brown belt and red white sneakers.

Applejack takes one of his crates and she then notices Miko.

"Miko? I thought you weren't comin' in today. You were out for almost the entire mornin'." She said in surprise.

Miko shrugged with a smirk "sorry to disappoint"

Applejack chuckled before lightly bumping his shoulder with her own. She then took notice of Twilight.

"Hey I know you," Applejack said looking at her in curiosity

"You do?" Twilight asks, raising an eyebrow in confusion at Applejack, who nods with a friendly smile.

"Yeah you're the ones who gave Sunset Shimmer the what for today." Applejack said before she took a seat and started drinking some of the cider.

She looked at Twilight after taking a sip "ya took everybody by surprise when y'all stood up to her" she then looked at Miko "though what nobody expected was the Phantom of CHS himself to stand up to her, you're usually the one who keeps to himself." She said with a smirk and a nod of respect.

Miko shrugged walking up to the table "well I was getting tired of her bullshit,"

He looked at the crates of Fizzy Apple Cider "mind if I have one?" He asked her.

Applejack nodded "Sure thing, Miko." She handed him a bottle with a wink.

Twilight looked between the two of them, her curiosity piqued. "You know each other?"

Miko nodded "Yeah, I usually order a crate of cider or two when I get the chance," he said before he smiled dreamily "Sometimes I would order a few of Granny smith's apple pie" he said drooling a bit just thinking about having a slice.

Applejack chuckled "Granny smith's apple pies are the best, ain't they?" She said, taking another sip of her cider.

Miko raised his own bottle " amen to that." he said with a smirk.

"Twilight Sparkle here is gonna run against Sunset Shimmer for Princess of the Fall Formal." Pinkie popping out of nowhere said surprising Applejack making her spit out her cider in shock.

"I'd think twice about that." She said to Twilight, wiping the spit from her mouth with the back of her hand, her expression more serious than it had been moments ago. "Sunset's got a pretty tight grip on this school. She doesn't take kindly to competition."

"Don't worry AJ I already warned Twilight about Sunset including her tactics and reputation." Miko said as he took a sip of his cider.

"Really? Personally for me, the only girl in this school you can trust less than Sunset Shimmer is Rainbow Dash." She said with a scoff before she took another sip of her cider.

"Rainbow Dash?" Twilight asked Applejack, glancing at Miko for a second. She noticed a hint of sadness in his eyes before they quickly returned to their usual nonchalant gaze.

Pinkie, hearing this answers "She's the captain of like every team at Canterlot High." She said while bouncing around on an abnormally large balloon. How did she even manage that? So much for being a regular human.

"and I still don't know how the fuck she managed that" Miko muttered to himself with a sweat-drop, even though currently they weren't on speaking terms, it always bewildered him on just how Rainbow Dash became the captain of every sports team in Canterlot High.

"She's also the captain of sayin' she's gonna do somethin' for ya and then turnin' around and not even botherin' to show up." Applejack said with a hint of annoyance.

"Thanks for the advice, Applejack, but this is something I really need to do." Twilight said, her eyes determined.

"Suit yourself…wait how'd you know my name was Applejack?" She asks, tilting her head to the side.

"Oh, I told her about you today." Miko said with a casual shrug, taking another sip of his cider, seemingly unfazed by Applejack's surprise.

Applejack looked at Miko before speaking "and speaking of Rainbow Dash, I know you two had your fallout, but I think you should tell her, she's gonna find out eventually."

Miko flinched as Applejack and her family were one of the few people who knew about his powers.

One day Applejack along with Big Mac were delivering a crate of Fizzy Apple Ciders he ordered once a month, and when they saw his front door was locked they tried to see if he was in his backyard and what they saw shock them as they saw Miko smashing trees and boulders like it was nothing, his eyes glowing a bright blue.

When he saw them he thought he was done for, they had seen his powers, his secret out in the open. But instead of fear, they saw the pain and frustration in his eyes, they saw a boy who needed help not a monster to be feared.

They had helped him clean up the mess without asking questions and they had been his friends ever since, though they never talked about that day.

But Applejack had suspicion that this was connected to his falling out with Rrainbow Dash. They had been inseparable once upon a time, like peanut butter and jelly, or so the school rumor mill spun.

Twilight watched the exchange between Miko and Applejack, her curiosity growing. She knew there was more to Miko than met the eye, and she was eager to learn what that was.

Miko shook his head and looked at Applejack with a raised eyebrow "and may I remind you that you and her are not on speaking terms as well" he rhetorted.

Applejack sighed "I know, but she's still your friend, or at least she was. Maybe if she knew the truth, she'd understand why you did what you did" she said before she took another sip of her cider.

Miko sighed "Look I tried, but everytime I try she would flat out avoid me or act like I don't exist, after all you know how stubborn she can be." He grumbled, crossing his arms and looking away.

Applejack nodded she knew Rainbow Dash could be as stubborn as a mule "But that doesn't mean you should give up on her, she's hurtin' too." She said, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Miko looked at her then closed his eyes and nodded "alright I'll try, but after the Fall Formal, there is too much going on right now."

"Fair enough." Applejack said before she looked at Twilight "But be careful, Twilight, Sunset is a sneaky one." She warned her.

Twilight nodded, taking the warning to heart "I will, thank you Applejack." She said before turning to Miko "Are we ready to go?"

Miko nodded "yeah" he turned to Applejack and Pinkie Pie "well we gotta go, thanks for the advice Applejack, I'll keep it in mind." He said before he grabbed his bag and slung it over his shoulder.

Twilight picked up Spike and they left the gymnasium with Miko, the sound of their footsteps echoing in the hallway. As they exited, Twilight couldn't shake the feeling that there was something deeper going on between Miko and Rainbow Dash. She made a mental note to ask him about it later.

As soon as they were gone Pinkie stood next to Applejack "That one's trying to hide a secret, but I'm totally on to her." She said referring to Twilight before whispering "she's psychic!"

Applejack looked at her skeptically "uh-huh, if you say so" she said not believing her.

Just then the doors to the gymnasium doors suddenly opened once again and they were greeted with the unpleasant sight of Sunset Shimmer and her two lackeys Snips and Snails.

Snips is a short and pudgy fourteen years old boy with periwinkle skin, buck teeth, and hair. He also has a black T-shirt with his pony counterpart's cutie mark where his heart is, as well as blue jeans.

And Snails is a skinny fourteen year old boy with gold skin, aquamarine hair, and light yellow freckles, he has a red T-shirt, which is barely visible due to being obscured by a green shirt with black highlights, and beige jeans, with red sneakers.

"This looks terrible!" Sunset declares. "There should be more streamers near the stage and fewer balloons!" She said popping a few balloons.

"Yeah streamers!" Snips said ripping some streamers.

"And fewer balloons." Snails said trying to pop a balloon with his arm but failed.

"Fizzy Apple Cider?! Ugh! This is my Coronation not a hoedown." Sunset said disgustedly, picking up one of the bottles.

"Well now, it ain't necessarily your coronation this time around." Applejack said with a glare at Sunset, her hand on her hip.

"Oh is that so?" Sunset said, getting in her face. "You country folk really aren't that bright. Must be why the other students say such awful things about you." She says while placing Applejack's hat in front of her face. Both this and the insult angered Applejack as her face turned red.

"Obviously it's going to be my Coronation I'm running unopposed." She said with a smirk as Snips and Snails nodded in agreement kissing up to her.

"Not this time. The new girl just signed up!" She said with a smile before holding up the sign up clipboard shocking her.

"What?!" Sunset She exclaimed before grabbing the clipboard.

"I know her handwriting is terrible." Pinkie said.

Once Sunset saw the name of her competitor. She then immediately scowled when she recognized it. "Where is this Twilight Sparkle?" She growls before realizing her slight slip up before turning to Applejack and Pinkie Pie. "I mean uh...I'm looking forward to meeting the competition."

Meanwhile Miko and Twilight were walking down the hallway when his bladder decided to remind him that he drank a gallon of water at lunch.

Miko turned to Twilight "Hey, uh, Twilight I kinda need to go to the bathroom."

"Oh, okay. I'll wait here." Twilight said.

Miko nodded and sprinted down the hall, the urgency clear in his movements. As he pushed open the bathroom door, the cool tiles under his shoes provided a brief respite from the drama that was unfolding. He took care of his business and washed his hands, the running water a calming soundtrack to his racing thoughts.

Back in the hallway, Twilight and Spike waited patiently in a nearby hallway. Twilight couldn't help but feel a pang of curiosity about the secrets that seemed to swirl around Miko. His friendship with Applejack and the tension with Sunset Shimmer hinted at a complex web of relationships and past events.

"Can't believe I didn't recognize you earlier." A female voice said from behind them, causing Twilight to jump slightly. She turned to see Sunset Shimmer leaning against the wall with her signature smirk.

"Should've known Princess Celestia would send her prized student after my crown and her little dog too." She said walking closer to Twilight and Spike, her eyes narrowed.

"It's MY Crown!" Twilight growled.

"Whatever. This is just a minor setback for me. You don't know the first thing about this place, and I already rule it." Sunset said, her voice dripping with confidence.

"If that's so, why do you even need my crown? You went to an awful lot of trouble to switch it with the one that belongs here." Twilight said with narrowed eyes.

"Pop quiz: What happens when you bring an Element of Harmony into an alternate world?" Sunset asked rhetorically.

Twilight remained silent, refusing to engage.

"You don't know? Seriously?" She asks with mock surprise, chuckling darkly at the end.

"And you're supposed to be Princess Celestia's star student? Then again, what were the chances she'd find somepony as bright as me to take under her wing after I decided to leave Equestria? It's a bit embarrassing that you were the best she could do." She said with a smug smile.

Spike then pops out and growls at Sunset trying to bite her.

"Oh and keep an eye on your mutt, I'd hate for him to be taken away." Sunset's words sent a shiver down Twilight's spine. Spike's fiery eyes never left Sunset's as he continued to growl.

"Is that a threat?" Spike asks, his teeth bared as he stared at Sunset, his growl deepening.

"Of course not." She said sarcastically before continuing "But I'd cut down on the chatter if I were you. Don't want everyone to know you don't belong here, now would you? You wanna be princess here? Please. You don't know the first thing about fitting in and don't try to rely on Tsuburaya too much. Once I'm through with you, I'm going after him next." She finished walking away with a smug grin.

Twilight clenched her fist, the mention of Miko made her furious 'What is she planning?!' She thought as Spike jumped into her arms.

as Sunset Shimmer continued walking through the hallway until she made it to the gymnasium and was greeted with Snips and Snails wrapped from head to toe in streamers, She quickly removed them before speaking.

"I want you to follow the new girl. Bring me something I can use against her just like the last girl who stood in my way." Sunset orders the two.

"You got it, Sunset Shimmer." Snips said before they both saluted her and rushed off.

"Once the crown and its powers are mine, Twilight Sparkle will be sorry she ever set a hoof in this world. Not that she would have been much safer in Equestria" she says to herself as she walks away.

Unknown to her Miko was behind a corner calmly leaning on the wall with his arms crossed having heard the whole thing.

he opened his eyes with a smirk 'oh poor naive Sunset, unfortunately for you I know every move you're going to make' he thought before with a quiet chuckle he left to go look for Twilight to warn her of what he had heard.

When he found her she was standing in the hallway, her arms folded across her chest and her eyes blazing with determination.

"Hey we got a bit of a problem" Miko said walking closer to her with a serious look on his face.

"What is it?" Twilight asked, looking at him.

"Sunset Shimmer ordered her lackeys Snips and Snails to try to get any dirt on you so that you can't run for Princess." He explained, leaning against the lockers with a frown.

"That definitely sounds like trouble for us." Spike said, poking his head out of Twilight's book bag.

"What are we gonna do?" Twilight asked, a hint of worry in her voice.

"For now? Nothing," Miko shrugged." We can't exactly do anything without garnering attention to ourselves, but it's best that we should definitely be more aware of our surroundings. Those two might be idiots but they can be really sneaky when they want to be." He said, his eyes scanning the hallway.

"Very well, we'll be more careful. There's another thing I wanted to bring up Miko" Twilight said with a serious look on her face.

Miko raised an eyebrow "What's that?"

"I need to know as much as I can about this world. Can you please help me?" Twilight asked, her eyes searching Miko's for understanding.

Miko Smiled "Can I please help you? I've helped you for this long Twilight. If it's knowledge that you're seeking, then we'll have to go to the school library." He said with a nod of his head.

"This place has a Library?!" She asks in excitement, her eyes sparkling.

"She's a bit of a bookworm back in our world." Spike gave his two cents with a smirk.

'She wouldn't be Twilight Sparkle if she wasn't' Miko thought in amusement and nostalgia "Heh, makes sense. Anyway, just follow me. I'll take you there." He gestured for them to follow him.

Miko and Twilight continued walking to the Library.

"The library's just around the corner Twilight." Miko said with a smile before he noticed she wasn't following. "Twilight?" He looked back to see her staring at a vending machine with a hungry look in her eyes. She seemed to be trying to figure out how it worked.

He walked closer to her "by the look on your face I take it you're hungry huh?" He said with a smirk.

Twilight blushed "Heh, I guess I could go for a little snack right now." She admitted sheepishly. "How does this thing even work?" She pointed at the vending machine.

"Here, let me show you." Miko said before he fished into his pockets until he found a coin.

"Now which one do you want?" He said looking at the vending machine with a smirk, the machine was filled with various snacks that were popular with students.

Twilight stared for a bit before pointing at an apple protein bar. "That one."

Miko nodded and inserted the coin into the slot. With a beep, the bar dropped into the dispenser. He grabbed it and handed it to her. "Easy, right?"

Twilight took the apple protein bar with a smile. "Thanks, Miko." She studied the unfamiliar wrapper before taking a tentative bite. The taste was surprisingly good, and she found herself nodding in approval.

"Why hello there Phantom." A female voice behind them said.

They turned around to a girl with pale, light grayish cornflower blue skin and moderate purple eyes. Her hair was pale cornflower blue with very pale cornflower blue streaks.

She had a purple hair clip with yellow lining, she wore a blue hoodie with bright blue stars on the shoulders over a purple dress that had bright blue edges and a white star and a bright blue streak, she wore knee-length blue socks and purple and blue shoes with white stars on them.

"Trixie." Miko gave a nod of Acknowledgement to the girl who had called out to him.

'Wait, Trixie?' Twilight thought, looking at the girl, surprised to see another human counterpart of someone she knew from Equestria.

"Excuse Trixie for just a moment, but she would like to have access to the vending machine." She said in a third person point of view, eyeing the snacks hungrily. "Trixie is famished after her most amazing magic practice session."

'yeah, that is definitely Trixie.' Twilight thought while remembering the Trixie from her world who usually spoke in the third person.

"Let me guess you're here for your usual snack" Miko asked with a wry grin as he tends to bump into her at the few vending machines in school.

Trixie smiles slyly "yes, for The Great and Powerful Trrrrixie!" She says dramatically before stopping herself. "Need some peanut butter crackers."

She inserted a coin and pressed one of the buttons before she received her peanut butter crackers.

"Voila!" She said as she held up her snack before she took notice of Twilight.

"Trixie believes that she hasn't seen you before. You must be new here." Trixie said, eyeing Twilight curiously as she took a bite of her crackers.

"You would be right Trixie. This is my Pen pal from Manehattan, her name is Twilight Sparkle. She's staying with me while her parents are off on a month-long business trip. She's also running for Princess of the Fall Formal." Miko explained as Twilight nodded.

Trixie's eyes widened upon receiving such news. "Are you serious?! You must be quite brave to run for Princess of the Fall Formal. Sunset Shimmer will humiliate and torture anyone who dares to run against her."

Trixie said before glancing at Miko "None of us have been courageous enough to stand up to her other than the Phantom of CHS here." She says referring to what happened earlier this morning.

Miko just shrugged. "Like I told Applejack I got tired of her bullshit." He said nonchalantly while ignoring Twilight's disapproving glare at his cursing.

Trixie looked at Twilight up as if judging her worthiness. "Well, if you're friends with the Phantom, you might stand a chance." She said before popping a cracker into her mouth.

Twilight blushed slightly, feeling the weight of the challenge ahead of her. "I'll do my best." She said with a firm nod.

Trixie smiled before she said something they never expected "The Great and Powerful Trixie wishes to inform you that she will vote for you during the Fall Formal."

"What?! Really?" Twilight's eyes widened in shock.

"Yeah what she said." Miko said in shock as well as he never saw this coming despite his foreknowledge of the future.

Trixie nodded with a smirk "Of course. Trixie is sick and tired of Sunset Shimmer always gloating about her victories and flaunting them whenever she wants. It's about time someone came along and put her in her place."

Twilight looked at Miko, who was still trying to process Trixie's sudden endorsement. "Well, I'm happy to have your vote, Trixie." She said with a smile.

Miko shook his head before nodding, giving a small smile "yeah Trixie thanks, anyway we got to go to the Library, Come on Twilight" he said as he started walking again.

Trixie nodded back "Good luck to you both. The Great and Powerful Trixie will be rooting for you." She said with a wink before she turned and walked away with her snack in hand.

"Well look at that, first day and you already have a vote" Miko said to Twilight as they started walking to the Library again, the sound of students chattering and lockers slamming in the background.

"I still can't believe she said that." Twilight said with a chuckle.

"You looked like you recognized her back there. I'm guessing that she was another pony you met back in your world?" Miko asked even if he already knew the answer.

Twilight nodded "Yeah, she is. She was actually quite the show-off when I first met her. She then turned evil at one point but I was able to stop her and she became a lot nicer after that." She said with a chuckle.

Miko chuckled "heh, sounds like you have a lot of adventures back home, don't you?" He asked rhetorically.

Twilight giggled. "Heh, you don't even know the half of it. Now come on, let's get to the library." She said eagerly.

Miko nodded with a wry grin. "Roger that." He said as they continued their journey to the library.

Finally after some walking, the two of you made it to the library.

The place was huge, it was an extensive library that spans at least two stories. Shelves are arranged in circles along the library's walls, and in the center of the first floor is a computer area for student use. It appears to stay open for some time after school hours.

"Well here we are." Miko said, looking around.

Twilight's eyes couldn't help but shine at the sheer amount of books in the library. "There's...so...many." She muttered in amazement.

Miko looked at her in amusement "Yeah, there's definitely a lot of them. So, what kind of information are you looking for here specifically?" He asked her.

"O-Oh, I wanna know what it means to be a human and maybe find some information about this world too." She said after a moment of thought.

Twilight then noticed the computers sitting in the middle of the room.

"Woah, what are those?" She asks, pointing at the computers.

Miko chuckled, "Those are computers. They're like the ultimate knowledge base for humans. You can find almost anything you want to know there." He said, walking towards them.

"How do they work?" Twilight asked as she walked over to the computer area, her curiosity piqued.

"I'll show you, but first I'm gonna go ask the librarian for permission to use the computers. How about you look at some of the books?" He suggested, pointing to the nearest shelf.

Twilight nodded eagerly and took a step closer to the books, her eyes scanning the spines. "Alright, I'll see what I can find!" She exclaimed before walking off to the human history section.

While Twilight was searching through some of the books, Miko went looking for the librarian until he eventually found her. The librarian was Ms. Cheerilee who was also one of the teachers. She had pale, light grayish cerise skin and grayish harlequin eyes. Her hair was moderate cerise with lighter cerise stripes.

She was sorting some of the books before Miko called out to her. "Hi, Miss Cheerilee." She turned her head in Miko's direction and smiled upon seeing him.

"Ah, Miko, what brings you to the library today?" She asked, placing the book she was holding back on the shelf.

"I need to use one of the computers for some research, and I brought a friend who's a new student. She's really eager to learn." He said, nodding in Twilight's direction.

Cheerilee's smile grew as she looked over to see Twilight. "Oh, that's wonderful! Of course, you can use the computers. Just remember to log in with your student ID and don't stay too late, okay?" She replied, handing him a slip of paper with the login information.

Miko nodded before walking back to the computers and Twilight but stopped as he saw three fourteen year old girls, it was Scootaloo Rainbow Dash's biggest fan, Sweetie Belle Rarity's young, and Applebloom Applejack's younger sister.

Scootaloo has short moderate purple hair, she has moderate purple eyes and has a light gamboge skin tone. She wears a black hoodie jacket with blue trim on the bottom, green cargo shorts, sky-blue socks, and black boots with gray trim on the soles.

Sweetie Belle has white skin and green eyes, and has long, pink and lilac colored curly hair. She wears a magenta headband on her head, a bright pink short-sleeved jacket, a pink and white horizontal-striped shirt, a magenta belt, a neon yellow frilly skirt, lilac socks, and bright pink boots with yellow straps, and pale pink trim on the soles.

Applebloom has yellow green skin with tangelo eyes, red hair, and sports a large hot pink bow on her head, she wears a neon green shirt with puffy sleeves, blue denim pants that folds above her calves, a brown belt with a gold rectangle-shaped buckle, and orange boots with red trim on the soles and adorned with four red petal flower decors on the sides near the rims.

The three of them were huddled around a computer which made Miko rather curious as he walked towards them. "Hey Applebloom, What are you girls doin'?"

"Oh, Howdy Miko," Applebloom said with a big smile before looking back at the computer screen.

"We're just seeing how many hits our music video has gotten." Sweetie Belle explained, not taking her eyes off the screen.

Miko remembered that they called themselves the Canterlot Movie Club, or CMC for short. They liked to review movies in order to point out their flaws and they also liked to make their own videos.

"Well, I hate to ruin your fun girls, but you should probably exit out of that and get rid of the speaker before sees it." Miko said in amusement.

"Just give us a moment. We're almost done here. We're just checking out the comment section." Scootaloo said, her eyes darting between Miko and the screen.

"Yeah but some of the comments about our song are really awful. I mean listen to this. Epic Fail... Funniest thing I've ever seen?!" Applebloom said, her voice filled with annoyance.

"Funniest thing they've ever seen, huh?" Sweetie Belle said before she and the other two smiled and began to run off.

Miko watched them go in amusement and a small amount of concern knowing they can get crazy with their Videos "oh boy, I hope they don't do anything too crazy..." He muttered to himself.

he was about to head back to Twilight before you caught a glimpse of two familiar morons. Miko sighed.

"Fan-fucking-tastic. Of all the things to deal with right now, it had to be the dumb and dumber." He muttered under his breath, referring to Snips and Snails who were sneaking around the corner.

Miko's Martial arts training and his own natural ability to sense his surroundings is one of the reasons why he was easily able to outwit Sunset Shimmer's tricks and how he was able to always know when Snips and Snails was following him.

The second reason is because he was a major prankster back when he was a kid in in the orphanage because of that he gained a third sense to instantly know when a prank on him or others was nearby.

And the third reason...well obviously his foreknowledge as he watched My Little Pony Equestria Girls dozens of times back in his old life.

He saw the both of them hiding behind a table while using their phones to record Twilight who was currently looking through some books. 'Not this time you don't,' he thought with a frown.

He was about to walk over to the two about to tell them off before he got an idea. An awful idea. He got a wonderful, awful idea. A devious grin slowly made its way onto his face.

He slowly crept up on them remembering a nifty little trick he made when he was still learning how to control his powers as he got behind them, he then brought fingers together and using his strength snapped them which made a loud enough bang similar to a firecracker making them jump three feet in the air.

"AAAAHHHH!" Snips and Snails Yelped Luckily nobody noticed.

They landed on their butts and immediately looked behind them to see Miko standing there with a raised eyebrow and smirk.

"The hell are you two doing?" Miko said with a smirk, his arms folded over his chest.

Snips and Snails looked at each other, their eyes wide with fear. "N-n-nothing, Phantom!" Snips stuttered, trying to hide his phone behind his back.

Miko didn't believe that for a second "oh really, because by the looks of it, you two were about to record Twilight in order to get some incriminating footage to use against her so she can't run for Fall Formal Princess. Is my assessment accurate?" He said with narrowed eyes.

Snails swallowed hard, sweating nervously. "We were just...uh..."

He tried to say something but Miko cut him off "And before you try to lie about it, forget it. I saw what Sunset Shimmer told you to do by gathering anything embarrassing about her so that it can be used to humiliate her. You know, you really need to go somewhere more private to talk instead of the MIDDLE OF A PUBLIC HALLWAY!" He yelled at the end, causing them to flinch.

He took a breath to calm himself' "But, I'll tell you what. I'm generally a nice guy so I'm gonna give the two of you a choice here. Either, you immediately delete the damn footage that's currently on your phones and get out of here right this very moment... or... you both will find yourselves eating through fucking a straw for the next seven months. Pick your choice." Miko growled threateningly.

Snips and Snails, trembling with fear, immediately pulled out their phones and deleted the footage. He made sure they didn't try to pull a fast one and once he was sure he smiled at them.

"Good...NOW BEAT IT!" He started calmly before he yelled at the end, his eyes glowing as he unconsciously tapped into his powers.

The two didn't need to be told twice. They scurried away like the rodents they were, leaving Miko alone with his thoughts. He couldn't help but feel a bit guilty for scaring them like that but if it meant keeping Twilight from being humiliated, then it was worth it.

Miko took a calming breath and mentally sealed his powers before anyone noticed and went back to where Twilight was.

"You okay?" Twilight looked up from her book with a concerned gaze.

Miko nodded rubbing his neck "yeah, I just found Snips and Snails spying on you for Sunset Shimmer"

Twilight's eyes widened "What?!"

"Don't worry I scared them off before they could get anything" Miko said making her sigh

"Well, I may not agree with how you handled that situation, at least you made them go away. Thank you." She said with a small smile.

Miko chuckled "You're welcome, I know it wasn't the most...friendly approach but it's effective." He said, taking a seat next to her at one of the study tables.

"So found anything?" He gestured to the pile of books .

Twilight shook her head "not yet, the only thing I found so far was this." She says as she pulls out a yearbook.

"A yearbook?" Miko raised an eyebrow "No offense Twilight, but how exactly is this useful?" He asked in confusion.

"Just look inside," Twilight said with a smile.

Miko did as she said and opened the yearbook. He continued looking through it until one page caught his eye. It had a photo of what looked to be Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash, except they were younger and getting along as they were gathered around at a bench for their yearbook photo.

Miko's eyes widened "is that..."

"Yep. It's Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Rarity." Twilight said with a smile.

"There's a Rarity here?!" Spike popped out of Twilight's backpack, his tone filled with excitement and interest.

Until he saw Twilight smirking knowingly at him before he tried to play it cool. "Uh, I mean uh... interesting photo."

Miko looked at Spike in confusion for a second before he remembered and whispered in Twilight's ear "let me guess he has a crush on Rarity back in your world"

Twilight nodded with a smirk "Oh yes, a big one." She whispered back.

"the baby dragon in love with a unicorn... sounds like a unique love novel if there was one" he whispered back with a smirk.

Twilight playfully hit his arm "Oh, hush." She said with a light laugh.

"So what brought this on?" He says gesturing to the photo.

"It's Interesting because they look like they're friends." Twilight said thoughtfully, her gaze lingering on the picture.

"They do look like our friends." Spike said. "But I thought we figured that out already." He finished with a playful Smirk.

Twilight shook her head "No what mean is... that they look like they're friends with each other. But it doesn't seem like they're friends now." She corrected Spike as they observed the photo.

"Not so much." Spike said with a wince, bringing up the tension they've shown through the day.

Miko nodded in agreement as he looked intently at the photo specifically Rainbow Dash as he knew this photo was taken a month before his falling out with her.

Twilight turned to him "Miko did Applejack or Pinkie Pie say anything about that?" She asked with curiosity.

Miko scratched the back of his head "w-well, I did ask Applejack about it once and apparently one thing led to another which caused their friendship to split apart." He shrugged helplessly. "That was all I got from her, I didn't want to pry anymore after that."

"I just can't help but get the feeling that Sunset Shimmer had something to do with it." Twilight couldn't help but wonder if she was behind this.

Miko nodded "That definitely sounds like something she would do. But why though? What would she hope to gain by splitting them apart?"

Twilight remembered their earlier conversation with Fluttershy. "Wait, I think I know the reason. Didn't Fluttershy say that Sunset did something to the last girl who tried to run for Princess of the Spring Fling?"

Miko nodded with wince "Yeah, she did. Apparently, from what I heard, she was trying to run for princess and she actually had a lot of support during it. Things were going well for her until Sunset Shimmer posted some... things that shouldn't have been revealed about her online." He said

"By the sounds of it, it ended pretty bad for her, didn't it?" She asked, grimacing at the thought.

Miko nodded with a frown. "Yeah, she became the laughing stock of the school for a while after that and she ended up not winning because of it."

"Gosh, that sounds horrible, but I think I noticed something in your story Miko." She looked at him with a thoughtful expression.

Miko looked at her in curiosity "what's that?"

"You said that she had a lot of support for it at the beginning before she was humiliated." Twilight said to which he nodded"What if Sunset Shimmer knew that the girl was gonna win and decided to do something to prevent it. And what if..." She trailed off at the end before he caught on.

Miko continued "What if she thought the girl was going to do the same thing to her. They would have supported the one who would run against Sunset Shimmer." Miko's eyes slowly widened in realization "She was willing to take the risk so...she decided to end their relationship as friends so they wouldn't compete! It all makes sense now! TWILIGHT, YOU'RE A GENIUS!" Miko Screamed at the end with a grin.

before Cheerilee poked her head around the corner and hushed you. You blushed with embarrassment before scratching the back of your head.

"Heh sorry miss Cheerilee" he said to her before turning back to Twilight. "But anyways, that's probably why she broke up many of the other students' friendships as well. If they were constantly at each other's throats, then they never would have gained support if they ran and Sunset would always win by default." Miko said with a frown.

Twilight nodded, "I guess we now know what's going on. I can't believe that Sunset Shimmer would do something as heartless as break up other student's friendships just so she could win some meaningless title. We have to tell everyone." She said with a frown of her own.

"I agree with you there Twilight, but how, we don't exactly have any proof." Miko said, stroking his chin thoughtfully.

"Twilight, are you doing this because the girls remind you of our friends back home?" Spike asked, his voice filled with curiosity.

"Only a little bit Spike, but I have to do this." She said with determination in her eyes.

Miko smirked "and I got your back Twilight, no matter what."

Twilight smiled in appreciation "Thanks, say Miko, did you get permission to use one of those... What are those big screen things called again?" She asked, trying to remember what they were called.

"Computers." Miko nodded with a smirk before handing her the login slip. "You're all set."

"Right. Do you think you can show and tell me more about being a human in this world?" She asked, her curiosity unbridled.

Miko nodded, taking a seat beside her at the computer. "Sure thing. First, you've got to understand that humans don't have magic like you do in Equestria. We rely on technology, science, and good old-fashioned hard work to get by." He began to type, pulling up various pages of information.

And so throughout the rest of the day, Miko taught Twilight and Spike taught everything he knew about being human and this world.

However, there were moments where Miko had to reveal the more... embarrassing lessons, he explained to Twilight how the human body works for males and females and why they all wear clothes too. He even had to explain how humans mate too... which was really embarrassing for all three of them to even talk about themselves.

Miko also taught her about human technology such as phones and computers and even the internet which you strongly advised her to stay away from... for obvious reasons.

As the final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, he and Twilight began to make their way out, until Miko remembered one teeny tiny little problem and facepalmed.

Twilight turned to him with a question in her eyes "What's wrong, Miko?"

Miko groaned "damn it, in all the excitement I completely forgot..." He said looking at Twilight.

"What is it?" Twilight asked with a raised eyebrow.

He sighed "you don't have a place to stay do you?" Miko asked, remembering in the movie she and Spike slept in the Library.

Twilight blushed and Spike looked down. "Well, not really." Twilight admitted.

"Well, you guys can stay with me for awhile." Miko said with a shrug. "It's a few miles away from the school but it's better than sleeping in a library, right?"

Twilight looked surprised "Really? You don't mind?"

Miko rolled his eyes "Of course not, it's not like I don't have the room. Besides, I don't think miss Cheerilee would appreciate you two turning their library into a Hotel." He said with a smirk.

Twilight and Spike looked at each other before looking back at Miko "Are you sure? We don't wanna trouble you." Twilight said with a concerned look.

Miko shook his head "it's no trouble at all, now come on." He said walking out of the Library with them.

"But won't your family be weirded out by us staying?" Spike asked as they walked through the hallways of Canterlot High.

Miko abruptly stopped "I live alone." he said curtly before he continued to walk.

Twilight and Spike looked at each other in surprise before they followed Miko out of the school.

"But why do you live alone?" Twilight asked, her curiosity getting the better of her.

"Was left at the orphanage as a baby the only thing the caretakers found was a note that said 'please take good care of young Miko Tsuburaya' and that was all it said" he explained with a shrug as they made their way to the bus stop.

Twilight looked at him with a sad expression "That's so sad, I had no idea."

Miko looked at Twilight "Twilight no offense but can you not look at me like that, look at me I'm doing fine aren't I"

Twilight nodded but she couldn't shake the feeling of pity she had for Miko. She knew that living in an orphanage couldn't have been easy.

Once they were at the Bus Stop they waited in silence.

Twilight was feeling a mix of pity and admiration for Miko, she couldn't imagine growing up without a family but here he was, so strong and capable. It made her wonder what kind of life he had in the orphanage.

Finally, the bus pulled up, and they boarded, showing their passes to the driver. Twilight took a seat next to Miko, while Spike sat on her lap, still in his puppy dog form. The bus ride was relatively quiet, with Twilight occasionally asking questions about the scenery they passed by.

as the bus pulled away from the school, Twilight couldn't help but feel a pang of anxiety. She had never been to Miko's house before and she didn't know what to expect. She knew he was a loner, but she had never seen where he lived. The bus ride was a little awkward, with everyone minding their own business and the occasional murmur of conversation from other students.

Soon they were the only ones in the bus as it approached Miko's stop. Twilight looked out the window, taking in the unfamiliar scenery as the bus went uphill into a more secluded area. The houses grew sparser, and the surroundings greener, hinting at a more serene and quiet neighborhood.

Soon the bus reached a bus stop 10 miles away from the school. The bus stop is surrounded by more trees and greenery. Miko looked at Twilight with a smile, "Welcome to my neck of the woods." He said as they stepped out.

They walked down a cobblestone path lined with blooming flowers and tall oak trees, the sound of bird chirping filling the air. Twilight couldn't help but feel a sense of peace wash over her, it was so much different from the hustle and bustle of the school.

"You live all the way out here?" She asked as the hill was just outside of the city.

Miko nodded "Yeah, it's a bit of a commute but it's worth it for the peace and quiet." He said with a shrug.

Miko smirked "and one of the reasons I lived all the way out here is because of that" he pointed at a cliff that had a beautiful view of the entire city.

"It's amazing!" Twilight gasped in awe, her eyes widening as she took in the sight.

Spike leaned over Twilight's shoulder, his own eyes sparkling with wonder. "Wow, Miko, you've got an awesome view!"

Miko chuckled, "Yeah, it's not too shabby." He began to lead them towards his house, which was a beautiful modern two-story house with large windows that let in natural light. The exterior was a sleek combination of metal and glass, blending in perfectly with the natural surroundings. "This is my place," he said, gesturing to the house.

As they approached the door, Twilight couldn't help but feel a little nervous. What if Miko's home was messy or filled with weird contraptions? Her anxiety grew as they stepped inside, but she was immediately greeted by a clean and organized space. The living room was spacious and had a minimalist design, with a large couch, a TV, and a few bookshelves filled with books, Comics, and a few action figures.

"Wow, your place is so clean!" Twilight said, looking around.

Miko looked at her with a deadpan look on his face, "what were you expecting?"

Twilight blushed "Well, I don't know, I just thought since you're a guy you'd live in a pigsty." She said with a nervous chuckle.

Miko snorted. "That's a stereotype"

They followed him through the house, which was surprisingly cozy despite its modern and minimalist design. The kitchen was spotless, with not a dish out of place. Twilight couldn't help but be impressed. Miko's living room was a stark contrast to what she had imagined, she thought that living alone might make someone's living space a bit... messier. But she was wrong.

Miko led them to the guest room, which was neatly made up with clean sheets and a soft pillow. "You and Spike can stay here," he said, gesturing to the room. "The bathroom is just down the hall, and there are extra towels in the closet."

Twilight looked around the room, her eyes lighting up with appreciation. "Thank you so much, Miko. This is so generous of you."

Miko shrugged. "It's no big deal. I've got the space, and it's not like I get a lot of visitors."

Twilight nodded, feeling a twinge of pity for the lonely teenager who had taken them in. "Anyways are you hungry?" Miko asked.

Twilight's stomach growled in response, making her blush. "Yeah, I guess I am."

Miko chuckled "Well, I'll whip something up for us." He said before going downstairs to the kitchen.

Twilight looked around the room, taking in the simplicity and the way everything was so neatly placed. It was definitely not what she expected from someone who was so secretive and aloof. She set her backpack down and Spike jumped off her lap, immediately going to explore the room.

Miko's footsteps echoed through the hallway as he went downstairs to the kitchen. Twilight followed the sound, curious to see what kind of food he would make. When she entered the kitchen, she found him already chopping vegetables with surprising precision.

'just got to make a meal with no meat at all, veggie ramen should be good.' he thought to himself.

Miko's kitchen was surprisingly well-stocked with ingredients, which made Twilight wonder if he had a secret love for cooking. She watched him work, his movements efficient and almost mesmerizing. "Do you cook often?" she asked.

"Yeah, it's one of the few things I enjoy doing," he said, not looking up from his task. "It's therapeutic, you know? You take a bunch of ingredients, mix them together, and voila, you've got something to eat. Plus, it's one less thing to worry about."

Twilight nodded, taking a seat at the kitchen island. "I can see the appeal. In Equestria, we have our own ways of cooking, but it's always interesting to learn new things."

Miko glanced at her with a smile. "Maybe you can teach me some Equestrian recipes sometime?"

Twilight's eyes lit up. "I'd love to!"

After Thirty minutes he placed three bowls of veggies ramen on the kitchen island. Twilight and Spike looked at the food with curiosity. Miko grabbed some chopsticks and slurped a noodle before handing them a set of their own. "It's not much but it's good." He said with a shrug.

Twilight took the chopsticks and after a few tries she managed to get a mouthful of noodles into her mouth. "Mmm, it's delicious!" She exclaimed with a smile.

Miko nodded, pleased with her response. "Glad you like it." He took a seat across from her, his own bowl of ramen steaming in front of him.

Afterwards, Miko, Twilight, and Spike continued to have dinner. Miko cooked veggie ramen for Twilight since she was originally a pony back in Equestria.

She was actually surprised that humans were omnivorous, which meant that they ate both meat and vegetables, as well as other things. She did get a little uncomfortable when she learned that humans ate meat, but she tried to work with it for the most part. After dinner, Miko and Twilight were both talking in the living room.

"Twilight, do you sometimes wonder why Sunset Shimmer does all of the things that she does?" Miko asked as he leaned back on the couch.

Twilight shook her head "Not exactly, from what Princess Celestia told me, Sunset became cruel, manipulative, and dishonest at some point. She completely betrayed her teachings." She said with a frown.

Miko nodded "Yeah, but I was wondering if there was something more to it than just power. Like, did something happen to her that made her this way?"

"I don't know." Twilight sighed "For the moment though, we need to focus on making sure that she doesn't get my crown." She said with determination in her eyes.

Miko nodded "Anyways, it's getting late, we should probably head to bed." He said getting of the couch after he noticed the time on the clock.

Twilight nodded "You're right, I have a big day tomorrow." She said with a yawn.

They walked upstairs to the guest room, where Spike immediately claimed the bed for himself, rolling around in the soft blankets with a content sigh. Twilight watched him for a moment before turning to Miko. "Good night Miko, Thanks for everything today."

"No problem, Twilight. If you need anything, just holler." He said with a yawn before heading to his own room.

Once she was sure Miko was asleep, Twilight pulled out her journal from her bag. She wrote down everything she had learned today, from the school's social dynamics to Miko's secretive past. As she wrote, she couldn't help but think about the lonely life he must have led, and she felt a pang of sadness for him. Despite his tough exterior, he had shown them kindness and she was grateful for it.

As the moon began to rise outside, casting a soft glow into the room, Twilight's thoughts drifted to her friends back in Equestria. With a sigh, she closed her journal and snuggled into the bed, feeling the weight of her mission settle heavily on her shoulders and soon she fell asleep.

Meanwhile, in the other room, Miko lay in his bed, staring at the ceiling. Despite his exhaustion from the day's events, his mind raced with thoughts of Twilight and her quest to become Fall Formal Princess. He knew that going against Sunset Shimmer would not be easy, but he had made a promise to help her.

Miko started to think about the past, remembering days of simpler times, of happier times, with a sigh he sat up and he reached for his nightstand and opened the drawer pulling out a picture frame with a picture of himself and Rainbow Dash younger around twelve years of age.

They were smiling inseparable. Before his powers appeared. Before he was known as the Phantom of CHS. Before the fear hurting people if he lost control, Before he pushed her away for her own good. It was a picture of them at the park, playing on the swings, laughing, and just enjoying the day. Rainbow Dash had her arm around his shoulder and his arm was around her waist, their smiles bright and carefree.

'Dash…' he thought to himself, his heart feeling heavy with regret and nostalgia. He missed those days, missed her friendship.

After a while he put the picture away and lied back down, trying to push away the bittersweet memories. He knew he had to stay focused on the task at hand. Twilight needed his help, and he was determined to give it.

'but I promise after the Fall Formal I'll try and fix things' with that last thought he went to sleep.
