And yes I know I took a lot longer than i usually did but I did say I was taking a short break.
But now I'm back and here we are and one I put in a reference of something in this chapter with [01] next to it.

Chapter 06 The Fall Formal Part One:
It's Time to Come Together,
This is our Big Night!
Miko was able to catch up running alongside Twilight as the two ran inside of Carousel Boutique, the place where Rarity works.
Twilight races past Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity and into a dressing room. The others soon grew concerned for Twilight.
"Everything okay in there?" Rarity asked in concern.
Twilight took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. "Yes!" She called out "But, can I please speak to Miko privately?"
Miko looks around as the five girls were confused as to why only specifically him before Twilight reaches out to yank him inside causing him to let out a slight yelp. She then closes the curtains to allow them to speak to each other privately
Twilight slouched against the wall and slid down to the floor as Spike came out of Twilight's backpack.
"Are you okay Twilight?" Spike asked in concern.
Twilight shook her head "No, I'm not okay Spike. I'm the furthest thing from okay. If I don't get my crown tonight, I won't be able to go back to Equestria for another thirty moons! Miko, what do we do?!" She asked, turning to him with worry in her eyes.
"I... I don't really know Twilight. Sunset Shimmer knows that you've turned everyone against her so she's more desperate than ever to get ahold of your crown." Miko says, his voice filled with concern as he sat beside her on the floor.
Twilight buried her face in her hands.
"But i think there might be a way" Miko began, Twilight looked up at him with hope in her eyes. "What is it?" She asked.
"We tell the girls the truth." He said, his voice firm and clear. Twilight looked up at him in surprise. "What!?"
Spike nodded "I agree with Miko, we tell them the truth. Let them know what's really at stake if you don't get the crown tonight. They'll help us figure somethin' out." He said patting her leg.
"But what if they won't?" Twilight pointed out. "What if they find out how different I really am...?" She asked as she looked at herself in a mirror which showed her pony self for a moment.
"Twilight, these girls rallied around you 'cause they saw what was in your heart." Spike reassured her with Miko nodding in agreement that it won't be the worse case scenario. "They aren't gonna feel any differently about you when they find out you're a pony princess in Equestria." He said before her reflection turned back into her human self.
She smiled before ruffling Spike's head. "I'm glad you followed me her Spike"
"Me too. Unless, of course, we get stuck here for another thirty moons." Spike replied.
"And don't forget me, you two can always count on me to have your backs, no matter what." Miko said with a smile.
Twilight took a deep breath. "Okay, let's tell them everything."
They stood up before Twilight proceeded to open the curtain as the girls looked at you both concerned.
"You okay?" Applejack asked her in concern.
"The Fall Formal isn't happening tonight." Twilight told their friends with regret.
"What!?" Pinkie exclaimed in shock.
"It had to be postponed because Sunset Shimmer had Snips and Snails ruin all of Pinkie Pie's decorations." Miko explained to them with a frown crossing his arms.
"WHAT!?" Pinkie exclaimed louder as she held her head in shock.
"Not only that, but she tried to frame Twilight and I for trashing the gym. Luckily Flash was there to back us up." Miko explained further, his voice filled with irritation at Sunset's actions.
"Wow, talk about desperate. She really doesn't want Twilight to win that badly?" Rainbow Dash said in disbelief, her eyes wide.
"You have no idea, but the Fall Formal has to happen tonight." Twilight said.
"Wha–!" Pinkie was about to exclaim for the third time before being cut off by Applejack's hand clamping itself over her mouth. She gave her a look that said "don't even think about it" before they looked back towards Miko and Twilight. The latter lets out a heavy sigh and gets ready to lay it out.
"You see…" Twilight started, unsure of how to say everything.
However Pinkie lowered Applejack's hand from her mouth, and as if the pipe connecting Pinkie's brain and tongue has burst, she proceeded to say the most absolutely preposterous answer ready to come out of her mouth.
"You're from an alternate world and you're a pony princess there and the crown actually has a magical element embedded in it that helps power up other magical elements, and without it, they don't work anymore, and you need them to help protect your magical world, and if you don't get the crown tonight, you'll be stuck in this world and you won't be able to get back for, like, a really, really long time!" Pinkie began and finished in one breath.
She then cranks off the biggest, squeakiest grin of her life, in this world or the other, and none of the four alongside her quite knows what to make of this verbal tsunami.
Twilight and Spike however had their jaws completely dropped open seeing that Pinkie had shot a bullseye in the explanation.
Miko deadpanned already used to Pinkie being Pinkie. 'but still…How in the hell does she do that?'
"Yeeeah, I'm pretty sure that isn't the reason," Rainbow commented deadpanning.
"Nope, she's pretty much spot-on," Spike said with a shrug.
"He can talk!?" Rarity asked in shock. The others looked surprised as well.
"Oh, yeah! And back where I come from, I'm not even a dog! I'm a ferocious, fire-breathing dragon!" Spike declared As he threw off a cocky little smile.
Fluttershy shoves Pinkie and Rarity aside in her eagerness before kneeling down at him. "This is so amazing!"
"Tell me, what are you thinking right now?" She asked in happiness.
The oddness of this particular question leaves him at a loss as Fluttershy kept an ear-to-ear smile trained onto him awestruck by his ability to talk. Spike however walks over to Rarity "Sure would love a scratch behind the old ears!" He said.
"Gah..." Was all Rarity could say, witnessing his power of speech has left her still completely dumbstruck making him change his mind.
"Uh, Maybe later" he said sheepishly.
Twilight then turns her attention to Pinkie. "How did you know all that?" She asked Pinkie.
"Just a hunch," Pinkie admitted.
"Wait a minute!" Applejack said sternly, "Lemme get this straight: You're a pony?"
"You're a Princess?" Rarity inquired slowly, grasping the implications.
"You're from another world?" Fluttershy asked curiously.
Now fully bowled out, Twilight can do little but scratch the back of her head and offer a shaky, blushing smile. "Hmm-mmm…"
"That... is... awesome!" Rainbow responded with narrowed eyes before widening them in excitement of hearing this development.
The others voice similar opinions as they gather around Twilight. Spike and Miko both smirk at each other as if they knew that this was the obvious outcome to happen.
and so they proceeded to tell them the full story of how Twilight and Spike came to this world and the importance of the crown. And how Miko decided to help her and Spike because he felt it was the right thing to do.
"And that's about everything." Miko said, trying to keep the situation as light as possible with a casual shrug. The room remained silent for a few moments, as the gravity of what they've just heard settled in.
"Okay, so you knew from the start, that means Twilight and you aren't really Pen Palsl?" Rainbow Dash said.
Miko nodded his head sheepishly "yeah I did. And the Pen Pals thing was only a cover up to avoid suspicion" he said with a light chuckle.
The room remained silent as the five of them took in all the information that had just been dumped on them. Rainbow looked at him with narrowed eyes before she slapped a hand onto her forehead.
"I can't believe I fell for that pen pal crap!" Rainbow exclaimed.
Miko chuckled, "Hey, we had to keep it under wraps. Didn't want to blow Twilight's cover, you know?"
Applejack took a moment to process, then spoke up with a firm nod. "Well, I reckon we all knew there was somethin' special 'bout Twilight from the start. And if she's a pony and a princess, that just makes her more... Twilighty, I guess."
Rarity nodded in agreement, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "How utterly enchanting! And to think, all this time we've had royalty among us!"
Fluttershy looked at Spike with a gentle smile. "And you, Spike, a dragon! Oh, the stories you must have to tell!"
Spike felt his cheeks warm under the attention. "Well, I do have some tales from Equestria, but right now, we need to focus on fixing the gym so the Fall Formal can happen tonight."
Miko nodded in agreement. "He's right, come on, let's head back to the school and see how much Damage the three stooges caused to the gym." He said getting up from a chair he was sitting on.
They all nodded before following Miko and Twilight out of the boutique.
Soon the group arrived back in the school and made their way to the gym where Sunset along with Snips and Snails trashed the place where they all look in shock of how far they are willing to go for the sake of securing victory over a competition.
"I simply cannot believe they did all this!" Rarity expressed her disgust.
Miko nodded with a frown. "Yeah" he said surveying the damage. "Jeez. They really fucked this place up."
"If I only had some kind of... party cannon that could decorate everything super fast!" Pinkie wished she had said item to do so.
Miko gave a small smile when he heard that 'oh trust me Pinks you'll make one yourself soon enough...' he thought to himself.
"I know it seems impossible, but, maybe if we all work together?" Twilight acknowledged that this won't easy but doable.
"Now that's the kinda can-do spirit I'm lookin' for in a Fall Formal Princess! Let's do it, y'all!" Applejack said in response to Twilight's high hopes and spirit as she extended her hand out for the others join her.
"Absolutely!" Rarity agreed as she brought in her hand.
"Rock on!" Rainbow Dash agreed while doing the same.
"Yes, indeedily!" Pinkie also agreed.
"Yaaay!" Fluttershy shyly whispered as Twilight and Miko brought their hands in too before raising their hands all together with smiles on their faces as they all set out to do so in order for the dance to go on as planned tonight.

Twilight and Miko fetched brooms from the janitor's closet and then tossed them to her friends.
Rainbow Dash caught hers and then twirled it around, Applejack caught hers while ready to work, Rarity just barely caught hers while holding it aside clearly disgusted that she has clean up the place with it, Pinkie excitedly caught hers no problem, and Fluttershy was the only one who didn't as she turned away in fright as it bumped it into her and fell to the ground as a result.
The (Hu)Mane Six Singing:
Fix it up
Yeah, it's all right
We'll get it ready by tonight.
The girls all sang together as they swept up all of the debris from the floor.
Mix it up
Yeah, help a friend
We'll come together in the end.
They each tossed a bag of garbage to the trash can Pinkie was holding up. Fluttershy could only just barely catch and toss it to Rarity who quickly tosses it to Rainbow Dash in disgust of having to deal with trash.
Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash Singing:
It's time to show that we've got school spirit
Raise your voice and let everyone hear it.
Twilight tried to drag a table away, but two of the school athletes came in to help out after seeing Twilight struggle a little doing so, while being surprised to see them.
The two athletes were surprised when Applejack carried two more tables with no effort.
However they were even more baffled when Miko walked by carrying five tables over his head effortlessly while casually whistling a tune causing Twilight to giggle at their reactions.
Rarity and Applejack Singing:
It's time to show that we're strong
So come on, everybody, sing along.
Pinkie got her hands dirty sweeping up the place with her hair getting some trash stuck on it while she had a big smile.
The (Hu)Mane Six Singing:
(Look...) Look how we've all come together
(Things...) Things are only just starting to get better.
Soon Rarity, Fluttershy, and Miko were tossing decorations up onto the ceilings which caught more students' attention as they pitched in to help out.
(Look...) Look how we've all come together

Soon many students all joined in on the preparations.

Up on the stage Flash and his band were working on setting up the band's equipment while Microchips was working on the sound system, he gave Flash a thumbs up signaling everything was good to go.
Twilight was sweeping up the stage before accidentally bumping into Flash who smiled at her and she shyly smiled back.
Miko and Rainbow Dash saw this and gave each other knowing smirks before going back to work.
(We... will...) Fix it up, yeah, it's all right
(Come... tonight, tonight...) We'll get it ready by tonight
(We... will...) Mix it up, yeah, help a friend
(Come... together, together...) We'll come together, together now!
The girls and Miko all got onto the stage together and placed hands on each other's shoulders seeing they had successfully got the place all set up and ready for Fall Formal to go on tonight as planned.
"This... looks... sooooo... GOOD!" Pinkie excitedly complimented their own work in amazement.
Principal Celestia claps her hands to everyone for what they did with her sister standing by her side. "All right, everyone! Fall Formal is back on for this evening." She announced to everyone as they all cheered at the good news.
"So you'd better get out of here and start getting ready. Oh, and don't forget to cast your ballots for the Fall Formal Princess on your way out!" She instructed everyone to do so right away while everyone lined up to place their votes inside a box Luna held in her hands.
"You got my vote, Twilight." Scott Green told her as he made his way to vote.
"Mine, too!" Cloudy Kicks said.
"Mine too!" Tennis Match agreed
"Mine too!" Star Light also agreed.
Miko grinned at this "Well, look at that Twilight. You've gotten yourself more votes! At this rate, you've pretty much got this competition in the bag!" He said.
"You really think so?" Twilight asked, her voice filled with hope.
He Nodded "I know so. But, Sunset Shimmer is probably more desperate to get your crown now more than she ever was. We'll need to keep an eye out for her along with dumb and dumber." Miko joked at the end
The (Hu)Mane Six giggled at Miko's Remark as they watched the students file out of the gym, casting their votes with excitement.
"He's right though. We've gotta be careful and look out for those three." Applejack added with a serious expression.
They all nodded in agreement with Applejack's words. The reality of the situation was not lost on them, they were in the middle of a competition that was more than just about winning a crown. It was about friendship, trust, and the fate of two worlds.
'If things escalate, I'm gonna fight even if it means using my powers, besides this school and this city is my home and I'll be damned if I let anything happen to it' Miko thought to himself as he watched over the students leave the gym.
While this was all going on, Sunset was secretly watching from the closet on the opposite side of the gym with eyes of fury that her plan failed and backfired on her thanks to Flash showing Luna proof that she was behind it.
She then turned to Snips and Snails who were behind her. "You're lucky she was able to pull this off. Next time I ask you to make a mess of things, try to show a little restraint!" She scolded them before turning back to the voting students smirking.
"I need this Formal to go on tonight just as much as she does." She sinisterly said while still handling getting her Fall Formal princess rights revoked with her true involvement out in the open just as smooth as she closes the door.
Miko, Spike, and The (Hu)Mane Six had their way back to Carousel Boutique after cleaning up the gym.
"I still can't believe we pulled that off!" Fluttershy said as they walked in.
Rainbow Dash smirked "I can! We're awesome!" She said,
"Got that right Dash!" Miko chuckled as they fist-bumped.
"Enough chatter, girls. We need to get ready, and we need to look fabulous!" Rarity told them they too need to get ready for the big night as she pulled out a rack of dresses by her side for them to try on and see what suits them the best.
Miko smiled seeing this. "Well I better get back to my place so I can get ready, I'll see you girls at the dance." He said waving to them.
"Wait darling," Rarity stopped him before he could leave, "Before you go, here." She said, handing him a box with a bow on top. "You can't go to the formal without looking the part."
Miko looked at the box curiously. "What's this?"
Rarity winked. "It's a little something I whipped up for you. Trust me, you're going to look stunning." She handed it over with a knowing smile.
Miko took the box, feeling a mix of excitement and trepidation. "Thanks, Rarity. I'll see you all later." With that, he turned and headed out the door, the box tucked securely under his arm.
As soon as he got home, Miko set the box down on his bed and took a deep breath. He knew the stakes were high tonight, but he couldn't help but feel a bit giddy about the dance.
Carefully, he opened the box to reveal a tuxedo that gleamed under the soft light of his room. It was tailored to perfection, with a note from Rarity saying she hoped it fit. He had to admit, she had excellent taste.
After a shower Miko quickly changed into the tuxedo, the fabric feeling smooth and light against his skin. Looking in the mirror, he couldn't help but crack a smirk at his own reflection.
He never thought he'd see the day where he'd be attending a high school dance dressed like James Bond. But, if it was to help Twilight, he'd do it in a heartbeat.
He had his black spiky hair slicked back, his bow tie perfectly knotted. The tuxedo hugged his lean frame, showcasing his muscles just right. With a final look in the mirror, Miko nodded in satisfaction. He was ready.
He smirked "Showtime."
Miko walked downstairs to the living room, heading for the front door ready to take the bus to the dance.
But as he was about to open the door, he stopped as he remembered something and smirked.
Soon he was in the kitchen staring at the door leading to his garage, a place where he kept his most precious secret. He had never told anyone about this, not even Twilight. But tonight, he was going full badass.
Miko opened the garage door to reveal his car, He bought it for himself on his sixteenth birthday last year.
But he only droved it a few times after he got his license but never showed it to anyone. But tonight, he was going all out.
He got in the car and started the engine, feeling the power rumble beneath him.
He pulled out a pair of black sun glasses from his pocket and put them on. "Now, it's Showtime," he said to himself smirking as he backed out of the garage and sped off to the school.
Later that evening, the girls finally arrived at CHS in a Limousine as the girls got out and started heading towards the front doors.
Before they heard a car pull up a black car with a lightning bolt on the sides. The driver stepped out and they were revealed to be Flash Sentry.
"Uh, Twilight!" He called out as he jogged over to them.
Twilight turned around, her heart racing as she saw Flash approaching them in his tuxedo. She couldn't help but feel a little flustered, especially after their earlier conversation. "Hi, Flash," she called back, trying to keep her cool
Flash sighed, "Look, I know you said "no" about going to the Fall Formal with me, but would you reconsider and at least have one dance?" He asked hopefully.
"I didn't say "no"! I mean, I did, but... I didn't mean no, to you. I was... Well, what I mean is... yes. I'd love to dance with you!" Twilight said, her cheeks blushing as she stumbled over her words.
The girls watched as Twilight and Flash shared an awkward yet earnest moment.
Pinkie gasped out of the blue. "Oh my gosh, guys, we're forgetting something super important!"
They all turned to her, puzzled. "What is it, Pinkie?" Rarity asked.
"Miko's not here yet!" Pinkie exclaimed, bouncing on her toes. "We can't start the dance without him!"
"Well for corn's sake where is he?" Applejack said with a raised eyebrow looking around the parking lot.
Soon the girls, Flash and other students heard the roar of an engine approaching. They turned to see a red and silver 2014 Chevrolet Camaro pull up to the curb, the vibrant color a stark contrast to the night.
Everything went in slow motion as the door to the driver's seat opened, and Miko emerged, looking like he'd just stepped out of a movie premiere.
The girls' jaws dropped, and even Flash had to admit that Miko looked badass. He strutted over, a confident smirk playing on his lips.
The other students couldn't help but stare as Miko stepped out of the sleek car, his tuxedo fitting him like a glove and his shades adding an air of mystery.
He walked over to the group, a sense of excitement and a hint of mischief in his stride.
Hey guys!" Miko took off his sunglasses walking up to them "am I late?"
Rainbow Dash gawked "Dude! Since when the hell did you have a car!?" She asked, pointing at the sleek vehicle. "and a Camaro at that!"
Miko chuckled, "Well, I've had it for a while, just didn't think it was necessary to show it off." He said winking at her. "Also you girls look beautifu.l"
The girls blushed at the compliment while Rarity gave a nod of approval at his attire. "Thank you, Miko. You look quite dashing yourself."
Miko smirked "Thanks, Rarity, couldn't have done it without your help." He said, giving her a wink.
"So shall we all go inside." Miko said with a grin, gesturing towards the school entrance.
They all nodded as Flash offered his arm to Twilight, who took it with a blush. He took a moment to look back at Miko as he gave a thumbs up.
Flash nodded at him before he accidentally smacked right into one of the doors, causing Miko to facepalm at that before Flash recomposed himself and they both walked inside.
Miko shook his head before he turned to the girls "well ladies come on, let's go inside and enjoy our big night!"
They all nodded excitedly and followed him inside the school gym.
Just a few moments later, the dance was in full swing with everyone enjoying themselves while they were either talking to each other or they were dancing.
Flash and his band, which was called Flash Drive, were up on stage rocking out. Miko was currently on the dance floor with the (Hu)Mane 6 which was going spectacularly before Twilight gained a serious expression on her face.
"Anybody see Sunset Shimmer?" Twilight asked her friends while they danced, her eyes scanning the crowded gym.
"Maybe she was too embarrassed to show! She's gotta know you won by a landslide especially after she got disqualified for trashing the gym and framing you!" Rainbow Dash assumed with a smirk as she thought nothing of it.
Miko shook his head "Dash if i were you I'd doubt it. After all, Shimmer really wants Twilight's crown so she's gotta be planning something." He said his own eyes scanning around the gym as well.
"What do you think she'll do?" Fluttershy asked in a hushed tone, her eyes darting nervously around the gym.
Miko shrugged "No idea, But I'm sure that it's somewhere along the lines of being a pain in the ass, so keep an eye out girls" he said to them all as they nodded in agreement.
While Miko already knew exactly what she was planning because of the movie he chose not to do anything as he didn't want to mess with future events too much as to not cause a butterfly effect.
He shook off his inner thoughts as he noticed Flash and his band stopped playing and Principal Celestia stepped up on stage and grabbed the microphone.
"First off, I wanna say how wonderful everything looks tonight. You all did a magnificent job pulling things together after the unfortunate events of earlier. And now, without further ado, I'd like to announce the winner of this year's Fall Formal crown," She started before Vice Principal Luna stepped up on stage with a box before she opened it revealing Twilight's crown while also holding an envelope.
She soon gave the envelope to Celestia. "The Princess of this year's Fall Formal is..."
'Tom Cruise!' Miko mentally joked as everyone, especially the (Hu)Mane Six waited with much anticipation before Celestia opened the envelope and read the name.
"Twilight Sparkle!" Principal Celestia declared.
And with that announced, all of the students cheered, which of course included Miko and the (Hu)Mane Six as Twilight began to walk up to the stage.
"Congratulations, Twilight." Principal Celestia congratulated her as she placed the crown on Twilight's head while it glowed for a second. She took a moment to smile as her crown was finally back where it belonged.
Just as Twilight was waving to everyone, she and Miko heard Spike's cries for help.
Twilight! Miko! Heeeeelp!" Spike called out to her.
"Spike!?" Twilight and Miko said in alarm as they saw him growling while being taken away by Snips and Snails.
"They've got Spike!" Twilight exclaimed as she took off after them, without hesitation, Miko followed, pushing past the stunned students to help Twilight rescue Spike.
The rest of the (Hu)Mane Six all followed after them outside and to the front of the school.
"That's close enough!" Sunset reveals that she has a sledgehammer, which she hefts over her shoulder in preparation to swing at the portal leading back to Equestria much to the shock of the (Hu) Mane Six and Miko.
"Twilight!" Spike exclaimed, trying to break free, Snails clamps a hand over his muzzle to silence him.
"Don't hurt him!" She said sternly glaring at Sunset.
"Oh, I wouldn't dream of it. I'm not a monster, Twilight ." Sunset calmly replied as she turned to her lackeys. "Let him go." That order earns a couple of puzzled glances, but they follow it and put Spike on the grass, he runs off back to the group as Twilight kneels to pick him up.
Sunset turns back to Twilight while holding out her hand demanding the crown to issue her ultimatum. "You don't belong here. Give me the crown, and you can go back to Equestria tonight, Or keep it and never go home." She said as she readied her aim at the portal.
Twilight and the girls gasped in shock as Sunset stepped closer, her eyes gleaming with malicious intent.
'Wait a minute...' Miko thought, realizing something as he slowly deadpanned "um, yeah Shimmer, I hate to point out the obvious but..."
"But what?" Sunset's eyes narrowed at Miko, the sledgehammer still poised above her head.
Miko crossed his arms while raising an eyebrow still deadpanning. "Wouldn't your sledgehammer just pass through the portal?" He pointed out questionably.

Silence. You could hear the sound of crickets chirping.

Sunset stuttered her eyes widening comically "W-wha...I...You...Sh-shut up!" She then barked, her cheeks reddening with embarrassment.
Miko raised his hands in a placating manner "hey don't blame me just because i saw the obvious flaw in your plan. I mean if you really wanted to destroy the portal, you'd need something with more... oomph!" He said with a smirk.
The (Hu)Mane Six couldn't help but chuckle at Sunset's expense, while she just glared at Miko, "Oh, you think you're cute, don't you Tsuburaya?" She snarled.
Miko humphed as he crossed his arms "Bitch… I'm adorable" He said with his usual smirk. [01]
Sunset's grip on the sledgehammer tightened, her teeth grinding together in frustration. She knew she had been outsmarted, but she wasn't about to give up that easily.
However, Sunset Smirked again "I don't have to destroy the portal directly." She said slyly, patting the side of the statue for emphasis. "But I can destroy the only thing keeping it active. "Then, her eyes narrowed dangerously, "Now, give me the crown, or you can never return home!"
The girls gasped and Miko gritted his teeth.
And just before Miko could do anything, Sunset briefly turned her attention to him. "And don't even think about moving a muscle, Tsuburaya, unless you want the entire school to know about your little secret." She said, smirking.
Miko's eyes narrowed. "What the hell are you talking about Shimmer?"
"Oh you know," Sunset said with a smug smile, "Your little... Power. I've seen the way you've been moving around for the past couple of days, easily lifting things you shouldn't be able to. It's not every day you see a human with the strength of an Earth Pony."
They're eyes widened as Miko froze in place, the weight of Sunset's words sinking in. Twilight looked at Miko, her gaze filled with concern.
"H-how did you…?" Miko gritted his teeth, his heart racing as he stared down at Sunset, unable to move a muscle.
Sunset's smirk widens "I have my ways."
Twilight's eyes widened as she realized the gravity of the situation. She knew she had to act fast. Looking around, she saw the stunned faces of her friends, but she couldn't let fear take over.
"Tick-tock, Twilight, we haven't got all night, The portal will be closing on its own in less than an hour." Sunset told Twilight as she pointed out to the moon above them.
Twilight briefly took off her crown as she thought about it.
"So, what's your answer?" Sunset demanded, her eyes boring into Twilight's.
Miko looked at Twilight in concern, his mind racing. He knew he couldn't let her give up the crown to Sunset, but his own secret was on the line.
Twilight, however, had other plans. She took a deep breath and faced Sunset, her eyes gleaming with determination.
"No," Twilight said firmly, gripping her crown tightly.
"What!?" Sunset angrily exclaimed as that was the answer she wasn't looking for nor expecting. "Equestria! Your friends! Lost to you forever! Don't you see what I'm about to do to the portal?!"
Twilight stands up glaring down at Sunset while Miko looks at her shocked before giving a determined smile at Twilight along with the rest of the girls.
"Yes, but I've also seen what you've been able to do here without magic. Equestria will find a way to survive without my Element of Harmony. This place might not, if I allow it to fall into your hands. So go ahead. Destroy the portal. You are not getting this crown!" Twilight added and still remained defiant as she put on the crown willing to live out the rest of her days here if that's what it takes to keep everyone safe.
"Fine. You win." Sunset seemingly conceded in defeat and instead of swinging for the fences, she lets it drop backwards over her head, barely missing Snips' and Snails' feet and carving a deep divot in the lawn.
The tension in Twilight's mind gradually relieves itself as Rainbow Dash rushes up to her.
"You. Are. So. Awesome!" Rainbow Dash said as the girls praised Twilight for her defiant speech.
"I can't believe you two were gonna do that for us!" Applejack added as she slapped Twilight on the back of her shoulder.
"It's no wonder you're a real live princess!" Rarity also complimented.
Miko smiled as the girls continued to praise Twilight, but he subtly turned his attention to Sunset, noticing her growling getting very furious. 'Uh-oh...'
"Oh, yes, they're so very special!" Sunset furiously exclaimed before tackling Twilight to the ground, and the crown bounces away as the two struggle to reach it.
Sunset was first to make a grab, but Twilight drags her backwards and the dragon-turned-dog jumps on her head, snatches it in his teeth, and darts away.
"Grab him, you fools!" She ordered her lackeys to pursue Spike, Snips and Snails charge after Spike, but Sunset outpaces both and shoves them down.
They get up and resume pursuit, being chased in turn by the other seven, and Spike beats paws up the front steps.
However, he is stopped short by the closed doors, whose handles are too high for him to reach, and he finds Sunset's shadow and savagely grinning visage leaning over him.
"Spike! Spike! Over here!" Rainbow Dash called out to him and Spike quickly catches her drift and heaves it to her, but Snips promptly tries to snatch it away.
There follows a brief tug-of-war, which ends with the tiara in Rainbow's hands and him falling on his face, and Snails' attempt at the steal only earns him a palm shoved into his face to keep him at bay.
"Fluttershy!" She throws it towards the said girl and it bounces off her back, then into her hands when she turns around.
Here come the three miscreants straight toward her, throwing her into a panic, but Applejack responds by pulling out a coil of rope and lassoing her away so that Sunset grabs nothing but air.
The yank causes Fluttershy to lose her grip on the crown, and Snips is there to make the catch and hold it overhead.
His victory is short-lived, though, as Miko appeared behind him and gave him a wedgie, making him yelp and drop the crown which Miko caught. "Nice quick thinking on the assist." He complimented Applejack with a wink.
"No Problem!" Applejack said with a chuckle.
Miko notices Snails running for him to get the crown and he just deadpanned before Miko outstretched his arm and hand stopping Snails by holding back his face as he struggled to reach for the crown.
"Seriously dude?" The word slipped out of Miko's mouth as he held Snails at bay with a single hand, his grip firm but not overly tight.
Snails' eyes bulged as he tried to break free, his hands flailing in an attempt to grab the crown. Miko's smirk grew wider as he saw Sunset's growing rage.
"Yo, Pinks! Catch!" Miko tossed the crown to Pinkie Pie who had been bouncing around the chaos, her eyes lighting up as she caught it with a grin.
As soon as she caught it she handed it off to Applejack, who threw it to Rarity, who slings it to Twilight. Her victory lasts just as long as she notices Snips and Snails rushing at her.
Miko blinked at this before he turned to see Snails gone from his grip an outline of him blinking in front of him, Miko's eyes widened "the hell? How'd he do that!?"
He ran in Twilight's direction "Twilight! Over here!" He called out.
Twilight sees Miko flailing his arms signaling that he was wide open and she hurls it his way. He was just about to catch it, but not before Sunset Shimmer shoves him down to the ground and catches it herself.
"I'll take that!" Sunset declared as she chuckled evilly that she has been finding the power she has been seeking out of it. "At last! More power than I could ever imagine!"
Miko stands and back ups towards his friends. Spike has all his teeth bared and is ready to go on the offensive, but Twilight scoops him up.
Once Sunset puts the crown on her head, its jewel starts to hum with black magic and emits a field that courses down over her body.
It consolidates into a blue-green pillar of energy, coupled with black bursts issuing upward from the ground, and slowly lifts her clear of her feet as all shield their eyes.
One by one, Miko and the (Hu)Mane Six risk a look at the cataclysm and a few students venture out from the front entrance and gasp softly as well.
By now, Sunset has been carried almost to roof level, and she opens her streaming eyes to reveal pure white light glowing behind the lids as the tiara blazes madly.
Piece by piece, her body reconfigures itself until she transforms into a completely different being where her skin is brilliant crimson, her eyes were completely black with cyan irises, and her hair was standing straight up as she now has a pair of wings.
With her Transformation finished she began to laugh maniacally and evilly at witnessing her new form as Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie gasp at her new form while Twilight looked on with determination to stop her.
"Oh fuck me sideways..." Miko cursed under his breath as he stared up at the transformed Sunset having a bad feeling that getting the crown back won't be as easy as he expects it to be.
