Chapter 08 a Fun Weekend with Friends and Budding Romances?!

A month had passed since the events of the Fall Formal and things had become relatively normal... for the most part that is.

Everyone at school now learned that magic existed and that Miko apparently had powers of his own. They also wanted to know exactly what went down between him, his friends, and Sunset Shimmer so he decided to answer that for them.

One day, everyone had gathered in the gymnasium to hear what he had to say. Miko were very hesitant to go through with this as he was used to keeping his powers a secret for his entire life so far.

But with the help of Miko's friends however, he managed the best he could and buckled down and told them everything. How he had powers since late freshman year, how Twilight Sparkle wasn't really his Pen Pal, and what happened outside the school before they all went outside to see the situation then.

After that is when Sunset confessed to all of the students that she was the one who did all of those terrible things to them over the years and that she wasn't bad anymore and wanted to make things right with everyone.

To prove this, she did some community work around the school as well as help out some of her fellow students alongside fixing the front entrance of the school.

Meanwhile, Miko and the girls upheld their promise to her by helping her to better understand friendship and what it really means to have friends.

And as for Miko, to his surprise, he became very popular in only a few days after they had all learned about you having magic.

Even his title in school had changed from the Phantom of CHS to the Hero of CHS, but it was a title he wasn't entirely comfortable with.

Especially since some of his worries came true as some of the more selfish students had tried to befriend him solely because he had superpowers so he could use it for their own selfish reasons to which he always turned them down.

Even the girls made sure that those kinds of people never came anywhere near him. Miko then made it very clear to them that if they had ever tried to use him for his powers so selfishly ever again, then he would personally make them regret it.

Suffice to say, it worked rather well.

But he wasn't the only one that got more popular though. The girls soon found themselves in the popularity spotlight as well due to their efforts at the Fall Formal with how they magically transformed and helped him take down Sunset Shimmer in her demon form.

Besides all of that, things had been rather calm lately... but that would all change soon.

It was Friday after school the (Hu)Mane Six were hanging out at the sweet shoppe, just sitting at their usual spot and talking.

But oddly enough a certain someone was not present.

"Uuugh... come on! Where the hell is he?!" Rainbow complained, sipping her drink and glancing at the empty chair next to her.

"Maybe he forgot?" Rarity suggested, a hint of concern in her voice.

"Nah, Miko's not the forgetful type." Applejack said, sipping her lemonade. "Maybe something came up?"

Pinkie, who was munching on a rainbow cupcake, looked thoughtful. "You know, he did say he had some training to do."

Fluttershy nodded. "Maybe he's just running late."

Miko had indeed said he was going to train, but they hadn't expected him to be this late. They had all agreed to meet at the sweet shoppe to talk about the recent events and to support Sunset in her newfound path to redemption. But as the minutes ticked by, their concern grew.

Just then the door to the Sweet Shoppe slammed open, and in came Miko, panting heavily as if he had just ran a marathon.

"Sorry I'm late, I had to do... Something." He panted heavily as he took the last gulp of air into his lungs before slumping down into the chair next to Rainbow Dash.

"Well it's about time," Rainbow said with a playful roll of her eyes, but the tension in the room was palpable. "What were you doing anyway?"

Miko looked around at their concerned faces and chuckled nervously. "It's nothing, just had to deal with some... personal stuff."

"Well, spill it," Rainbow demanded, leaning in with curiosity.

Miko shrugged. "It was just... something came up after training this morning." He said trying to play it cool. "It was nothing really, just had to deal with something."

The girls looked at him skeptically, knowing there was more to the story, but decided to let it go for now. They knew Miko would tell them when he was ready.

"So does anybody have plans tomorrow? Because after training i got nothing other than playing video games all day" he said trying to change the subject as he took a sip of his chocolate milkshake.

Rainbow shrugged. "Well, I was planning on going to the mall in order to get the latest Daring Do book."

Hearing this Miko's eyes widened and spit out his milkshake. "Wait, What?!" He exclaimed in shock leaning back in his seat which made made him pivot back and fell over with your sticking straight up.

The others looked at him in surprise and concern, Rarity quickly grabbing a napkin to wipe up the spilled milkshake. "Miko, are you alright?"

He immediately stood back up and fixed his chair, sitting on it again, "Yeah, I'm totally fine Rarity. What's this about the new Daring Do book, Dash?"

They all couldn't help but giggle a little bit at his fanboying before Rainbow responded. "The new Daring Do book is coming out tomorrow."

His eyes widened at his best friend's words. "Wha- wait, Daring Do and the Lost Palace of Platinum is coming out tomorrow?!" He was practically bouncing in his seat, his excitement palpable.

Rainbow smirked a bit in amusement. "Yeah it is! Why you interested?" She knew full well Miko was a die-hard fan of Daring Do just like her, but she liked to tease him about it.

Miko gave her a look that said "really?"

"Are you kidding me!? I've been waiting forever since it was first announced months ago!" He exclaimed, his voice echoing with excitement.

She snickered at Miko's enthusiasm. "Heh heh, well it's about to get even more awesome. From what I heard, the author of the series herself A.K. Yearling, is apparently coming to the Canterlot Mall in order to do a book signing for her latest book!"

He froze when he heard that, A.K. Yearling herself having a book signing at the mall. His heart raced, and he could feel the excitement bubbling up inside of him.

"What?! Shut the front door! A.K. Yearling herself?!" He couldn't believe it. The author of one of his favorite book series was going to be in town.

She nodded "That's right. Hey, since you seem really eager about it, do you maybe wanna join me on Saturday to go meet her and get ourselves signed copies?" She said with a grin.

However before he could say anything Applejack spoke up. "Hold your horses Rainbow, Miko we were supposed to do some apple pie tastin' tomorrow for my family's upcoming bake sale remember?" She reminded him.

Miko facepalmed himself, "Oh right, I totally forgot about that. Applejack, I'm sorry."

"And you promised to help me make a cake once you were done with your plans with Applejack!" Pinkie exclaimed, her eyes lighting up.

Miko sweat dropped at another reminder. "R-right."

"A-and Miko y-you said you would volunteer to help at the Animal Shelter on Sunday" Fluttershy added quietly, her cheeks slightly pink.

Rarity nodded in agreement. "And you agreed to model for some of my clothing designs also on Sunday after lunch darling."

"And you also promised to go the video game store at the mall with me after that." Sunset chimed in, a hint of amusement as she watched Miko squirm.

He scratched the back of his head, looking sheepish. "Well, I guess I bit off more than I could chew, huh?"

Miko cleared his throat to compose himself as he tried to think of a way to juggle his plan. "Well maybe if... Hey Dash, what time is the book signing?"

Rainbow checked her phone, her eyes scanning the event details. "It starts at 9 in the morning. Why?"

Miko smiled at that "Perfect! I can head to Sweet Apple Acres after, since AJ said the Bake Sale starts after lunch." He said Applejack for confirmation.

"That's right," Applejack nodded "But you better be there by 1 PM sharp, Miko, or no pie tastin' for you!"

Miko nodded smiling before turning to Pinkie" and you didn't exactly gave a time schedule Pinks so is it okay if I come to your place after Applejack's?"

Pinkie thought for a moment, her eyes darting around as if trying to recall something important, before nodding with a grin. "Oh sure! I'll have the oven preheated and the ingredients ready!"

Miko grinned back and gave a thumbs up before turning to Fluttershy, Rarity, and Sunset Shimmer. "Well my Saturday schedule is fixed and on Sunday I can help Fluttershy at the Animal Shelter in the morning then Model for Rarity and lastly I can hangout with Sunset at the Mall to head to the Videogame Store."

They all nodded in agreement, happy to see their friend so eager to help and be involved.

After a few hours of talking and planning, the group decided to part ways, each eager for the weekend's events.

The next day, Miko woke up early, buzzing with excitement. He threw on a clean shirt, his signature hoodie, a pair of jeans, after making two grilled cheese sandwiches he put both into his bag.

After he got a text from Rainbow telling him she would meet him at the mall, he immediately went to the garage and got in his Camaro, driving off to the Canterlot Mall.

Upon arriving Miko parked his car and headed straight to mall entrance where he saw Rainbow Dash waiting for him.

"Dash! Hey!" He called out, waving his hand as he spotted Rainbow leaning against the mall entrance, her hair fluttering in the breeze.

She smiled upon seeing him. "Hey Miko. You ready to go meet A.K. Yearling?" She asked with excitement.

"Sure am... Egghead." He teased, causing Rainbow to roll her eyes at that before she gave him a playful swat on the shoulder.

"Oh whatever! You and I are the only exceptions." She smirks back as they both walk into the mall, the sound of their laughter echoing through the hallways.

"Really why's that?" Miko as he followed Rainbow into the mall, the smell of fresh popcorn from the nearby movie theater wafting through the air.

She smirked at him. "Because we're awesome!" She said, her voice filled with mischief.

Miko just playfully rolls his eyes at Rainbow's comment, a small smile playing on his lips.

"Whatever you say Dash, now come on before we-oh..." He stopped once he saw the bookstore. "Well shit." He cursed in a deadpan tone.

The duo saw that there was a long line of people outside of the bookstore.

"W-what the hell?! Oh, come on! You've gotta be shitting me!" Rainbow groaned, her excitement dampened by the daunting line.

Miko sighed, his shoulders slumping a bit as he took in the sight of the serpentine queue. "Looks like we weren't the only ones who wanted to meet A.K. Yearling." He said, trying to hide his own disappointment.

Rainbow groaned again rubbing her face. "We should've got here sooner."

"Now I'm starting to regret that we didn't listen to Pinkie's suggestion about camping outside of the mall last night." Miko said with a chuckle, trying to lighten the mood. Rainbow couldn't help but laugh, "Yeah, because that would've been totally normal."

"Well nothing we can do but get in line and hopefully it goes fast." Miko said, trying to stay positive as they approached the end of the line.

"I hope so." Rainbow sighed as they took their places in line. "But hey, it's worth it, right?" She nudged Miko with her elbow, her enthusiasm slightly renewed.

Miko nodded with a smile "Totally worth it, but for now." He reached into his bag and pulled out one of the grilled cheese sandwiches. "Let's have some breakfast." He handed Rainbow the other sandwich.

They began to munch away, making small talk to pass the time as they inched closer to the bookstore. The line was a mix of families, eager fans, and a few cosplayers dressed as characters from the Daring Do series. Miko couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie with them all.

As the line moved Miko noticed a poster for Venom: the Last Dance, it was still showing in theaters, making him huff in annoyance as he was still disappointed about a few parts in the finale of the Venom trilogy.

Rainbow nudged Miko, snapping him out of his thoughts about the movie. "Somethin' wrong?" She asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Miko shook his head with a small frown. "Nah, I'm still just a bit miffed about how Venom: the Last Dance ended." Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes. "Seriously, Miko? You're still on about that?"

"Come on Dash, you saw it, they killed Venom at the end, and Knull, who is one of the biggest villains in the Marvel universe i might add, didn't do anything in that movie besides send his damn Symbiote attack dogs on Venom and showed up in only a few short scenes, some fans might be okay with it, but i call it bullshit." Miko ranted with a pout. Rainbow Dash couldn't help but laugh at Miko's passion for the subject.

"Well, let's just focus on meeting A.K. Yearling right now, yeah?" She said, patting him on the back.

Miko sighed and nodded as he saw another poster after the line moved a bit more "at least Paramount did the Transformers franchise justice with Transformers ONE" he said trying to change the topic. Rainbow nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, though I'm still surprised Optimus Prime and Megatron were best friends before they became enemies," Rainbow added, her voice filled with wonder. "But hey, it's all about the story, right?"

"Yeah, and what happened to their friendship was sad but you can't deny that it fits with the Transformers lore" he said with a sad smile before they both saw the end of the line was approaching.

As they got closer to the bookstore, the line began to move faster, and soon they were standing in front of the line. "Okay, you two are the last ones to meet A.K. Yearling before she leaves." Said a bookstore employee with a smile.

"Yes! Finally!" Rainbow exclaimed, her enthusiasm bubbling over as they stepped into the bookstore. The walls were adorned with banners and posters of A.K. Yearling's works, and the air was thick with anticipation.

The two of them stepped forward and were greeted with the author herself: A.K. Yearling, who was sitting at a desk.

Rainbow practically bounced in place as she gushed, "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! It's her! It's really her! A.K. Yearling!" Her eyes were as wide as dinner plates, and her voice quivered with excitement.

Miko couldn't help but chuckle at Rainbow's unbridled enthusiasm. He had never seen her like this before, not even when she met her favorite sports star.

'Funny, I never thought I'd see the day that Rainbow Dash would act like an excited fangirl. It's... actually kinda adorable.' Miko thought to himself, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

"Are you two the last ones?" A.K Yearling asked, looking up from her book with a warm smile. Her eyes twinkled with a hint of curiosity.

Miko nodded with a smile of his own. "That's right. So, you're the famous A.K. Yearling?" He asked, his voice filled with genuine admiration.

The author nodded "You'd be correct."

Rainbow's eyes widened even more if that was even possible "Oh my gosh! It's really you!" She squealed, jumping up and down. "I am such a huge fan of yours! I own every single book you've ever written!" She practically threw herself at the table, her eyes gleaming with excitement.

Miko sweatdropped seeing this. 'Jeez I'm starting to wonder what'll happen if Dash ever finds out that A.K Yearling's Pony Counterpart is secretly Daring Do in Equestria...' He idly thought to himself.

"Okay, Okay, easy there Dash, your inner fangirl is showing." He said before he pulled her back and turned to A.K Yearling with a sheepish grin "I'm so sorry about her. She's just a really big fan of your work."

A.K Yearling just chuckled at Rainbow's enthusiasm "It's quite alright young man. I've had my fair share of eager fans." She replied, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

She then reached under her desk and pulled out a copy of her latest book. She then took out a pen and signed her initials on the first page.

She then closed the book and handed it to Miko. "There you go. The latest adventure in the Daring Do storyline: Daring Do and the Lost Palace of Platinum."

Miko took the book with both hands, his eyes lighting up like Christmas morning. "Thank you so much, Miss Yearling," he said, his voice filled with awe. "This means a lot to me."

A.K. Yearling winked at him. "You're very welcome. Now, how about I get one for your girlfriend here?"

Miko's cheeks grew hot, and he looked over at Rainbow who had gone from hyperactive to scarlet red. "H-Hold on," Rainbow Dash stuttered, "W-we're not-"

"Y-y-yeah! We're just friends." Miko's voice was a tad too loud and defensive, which only made Rainbow's blushing more apparent.

A.K. Yearling chuckled at their reaction, clearly enjoying their embarrassment. "If you say so. Now, let me get a copy for you Miss."

She said before reaching for another copy. A few seconds passed before she came back up with a rather serious and apologetic look on her face.

"Oh no, it seems that there was a miscount when it came to the number of copies. I'm afraid your friend here has the very last one." She said, her eyes looking genuinely apologetic.

"Y-You mean..." Rainbow cut in, her voice trailing off as she stared at the signed book in Miko's hands. "You don't have another one for me?"

"I'm sorry miss. I don't have any more copies of Daring Do and the Lost Palace of Platinum." A.K. Yearling said, her eyes showing genuine regret.

Rainbow's face fell, her excitement evaporating into thin air. "N-no... after we came all this way."

Miko looked at her in concern before looking at the copy in his hands if he were still his old self from his old universe he probably would've just said sorry and selfishly kept the book but...

'...That's not me anymore.' Miko thought to himself realizing how much he changed since the day he was reincarnated into this universe.

With his mind made up he sighed and held out the book to his Best Friend. "Here... it's yours."

Rainbow's eyes went wide again, but this time in surprise and confusion. "What? Miko, no! You can't just give me your signed copy!"

"I can and I will. Besides, I can always wait until more copies come out. You waited all this time and I'd rather give up my own copy than see you walking out of this mall miserable and empty handed." He said with a gentle smile.

Rainbow looked at the book for a few seconds before looking back at him. "Are...are you sure?" She asked, her voice filled with hope.

Miko nodded giving her a big grin. "Positive."

Her eyes darted back and forth from him to the book in his hands. She finally looked back up at Miko and smiled.

"I-I don't know what to say except... thank you Miko." She said before slowly taking the book from you. A.K. Yearling couldn't help but smile at the display.

"Are you sure that you two aren't a couple?" She teased with a smirk. Miko and Rainbow blushed again from her comment.

The duo turned to her faces glowing red "I already have a girlfriend!/we are not dating!" Miko and Rainbow Dash exclaimed at the same time respectively.

A.K. Yearling couldn't help but laugh at their synchronized response.

"Well, I must say that this was an interesting meeting with you two. I have plans to work on the next book soon so I should get going. " She said with a gentle smile, standing up from her seat.

Miko felt a pang of regret for giving away his own signed copy but he immediately squashed that regretful feeling down as seeing Rainbow's smile was more worth it than anything.

He nodded to A.K. Yearling, "Thanks for everything, Miss Yearling. Your books have really inspired me, and I can't wait for the next one."

A.K nodded before she remembers something and decided it probably wouldn't her to tell them. "Oh. since you two seem to be very passionate about my stories, I'll let you both in on something. One of my Daring Do books is being adapted into a movie."

Miko and Rainbow looked at each other before turning to her with excitement. "Wait what?!" Rainbow exclaimed.

"Are you serious?!" Miko's eyes widened, matching Rainbow's excitement. The news of a Daring Do movie was like throwing a steak into a pool of hungry sharks; it was bound to cause a frenzy of excitement.

A.K chuckled a bit in amusement at their reactions before she nodded. "Yes I am. I really do hope that you enjoy it when it comes out. Anyways, I need to go now. It was really nice to meet you both." She said before she picked up her stuff and left the store.

Miko and Rainbow soon left the mall, their conversation buzzing with excitement about the upcoming Daring Do movie. Rainbow clutched the signed book to her chest, her joy uncontainable.

"Can you believe it Miko? Daring Do is getting her own movie!" She said still not able to believe the news.

Miko nodded in agreement. "Oh I can believe it. She's made such a huge impact on the literary world that I'd be genuinely surprised if they didn't make a Daring Do movie."

"Heh, I feel ya there" she said, her voice filled with glee as they stepped outside into the sunshine. "And to think, you gave up your signed copy for me." Rainbow looked over at Miko with a warm smile, her eyes sparkling with gratitude.

"Hey." Miko said nudging her on the shoulder. "You're my best friend, it's the least i could do after...y-you know..."

He cut himself off remembering their falling out two years ago.

Rainbow Dash just nodded, understanding what Miko meant without him saying the words. It had been only a month since they reconciled but it felt like so much longer.

They had gone through so much together, and she knew that their bond was stronger than ever.

As they walked in silence through the parking lot she decided to break the silence when she remembered one key detail. "So...when were gonna tell me you have a girlfriend?"

Miko froze in his tracks. "O-oh. W-well... Umm it never came up since there was a lot going on last month with helping Twilight with getting her crown back before the portal closed up and then there was the fiasco at the Fall Formal so it kinda slipped my mind to tell you guys...yeah...hahaha...ha..."

Rainbow Dash raised an eyebrow and put a hand on her hip, her smile turning into a look of disbelief. "You had a whole month to tell us and you forgot? That's so unlike you, Miko."

"W-well like I said a lot had happened this past month." Miko said, scratching the back of his neck nervously.

"Yeah, but that's no excuse!" Rainbow exclaimed, her voice playfully accusing. "You can't just keep something like that to yourself!"

"Hey! in my defense the conversation never exactly came up so excu-" Miko was about to say before Rainbow Dash interrupted.

"I'm just messing with you Miko. Besides, it's not like we can't tell." She said with a knowing look, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

Miko sighed in relief, his heart rate returning to normal. "Thank goodness for that."

Rainbow chuckled, nudging him playfully. "So, who's the lucky girl?"

"Sorry that's for me to know until she wants to meet you guys." He said with a smirk before they both climbed into his Camaro.

Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes but didn't push it further. They had known each other for so long that she knew when to let things go. "Alright, I won't pry...for now." She teased.

Miko started the car, the engine purring to life as they drove away from the mall.

"Hey thanks again for giving me the book," Rainbow said, her eyes still glued to the signed copy. "It really means a lot."

Miko just shrugged with a smile "It's no big deal, I'm happy to see you happy." He said as he drove out of the mall's parking lot and onto the main road.

The conversation in the car shifted to their plans for the rest of the weekend. Rainbow was eager to share her thoughts on the book as soon as she had read it, and Miko promised to read it as soon as he could get his hands on another copy.

Soon he slowly stopped once it was near her house, the engine humming quietly in the stillness of the evening. Rainbow looked at him, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "So, when do I get to meet this mystery girl?"

Miko rolled his eyes before smirking at her. "You'll meet her when you'll meet her, now get going or else AJ and Granny Smith is gonna have my ass on a platter if I'm late for the bake sale."

Rainbow chuckled before nodding "Alright, alright. I'll let you go, but don't think you're getting out of this that easily." She said with a wink before grabbing her bag and jumping out of the car.

But not before suddenly wrapping her arms around his neck giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks for today, Miko. You're the best." Rainbow said with a beaming smile, leaving him utterly surprised and slightly blushing.

Miko just sat there for a moment, his cheek tingling from her kiss. He watched as she walked away, her laughter echoing as she vanished into her house. "Well that was unexpected..." He murmured to himself before shaking his head to clear his thoughts.

With that he drove off heading to Sweet Apple Acres.

Meanwhile with Rainbow Dash.

She closed the door to her bedroom as she slumped against it blushing redder than a tomato. She couldn't believe she had just done that. Rainbow Dash had never been one for PDA and especially not with Miko. But she couldn't help it.

'Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh, why the fuck did I do that?!' she mentally facepalmed herself. Rainbow had always had feelings for Miko but had never admitted it to anyone, not even herself. She had always pushed it aside, thinking it was just friendship.

But seeing him today, watching the way he had looked at her when she took the book, his gentle smile, the way he had given it up for her without a second thought. It made her heart flutter in ways it hadn't in a long time.

Unfortunately she can't exactly act on those feelings because Miko had a girlfriend. Rainbow sighed and looked at the signed book in her hand. "Maybe one day..." She whispered before placing the book on her bed.

Back with Miko.

He had arrived at The Apple Family home which consists of a house, a barn-like garage, and a pigpen, and it bears a strong resemblance to Sweet Apple Acres in Ponyville in Equestria.

He walked to the front porch and knocked on the door, the sound echoing through the quiet evening. The door swung open and Applejack greeted him with a warm smile.

"Hey AJ, I'm not late for the taste testing am I?" Miko said, a hint of nervousness in his voice.

"Nah, you're just in time." Applejack said, stepping aside to let him in. The warm, sweet scent of apple pies filled the air, making his mouth water.

Miko took off his shoes and walked into the house where he was soon greeted by Applebloom and Big Macintosh sitting in the dining room table.

"Howdy Miko!" Appplebloom squealed, jumping up to give him a hug.

Miko chuckled, hugging her back before sitting down at the table. "Hey Applebloom, Big Mac. How's it going?"

"We're jus' fine!" Applebloom said, beaming. "Eyup." Big Mac nodded in agreement with

a small smile.

Applejack took a seat of her own just as Granny Smith came out of the kitchen with a fresh batch of Apple Pies.

Granny Smith is a portly elderly woman with a light-green skin tone, a light gray hair tied in a bun and has orange eyes. She is wears a yellow shirt with an orange scarf around her neck with hearts design, red skirt underneath a white apron, lime-green and black boots and yellow gloves.

"Hello there Miko. Ready to taste some delicious apple pies?" She said, setting the pies in the middle of the table.

Miko nodded his head so fast that the Apple siblings thought he would get whiplash.

Granny Smith laughed at Miko's enthusiasm as she placed the plates in front of each of them. The pies were a masterpiece, the golden crust perfectly flaky and the fruit filling bubbling with sweetness. "Alrighty, here's the first batch."

Applejack took a proud look at her family's handiwork before cutting the first pie and serving a slice to Miko.

"Mm-mmm, smells good as always Granny." Miko said, taking the plate gratefully.

Applejack took a slice of pie of her own and grabbed a forks, "Alright, let's dig in!"

"Eyup!" Big Mac agreed, his appetite clear in his eyes. The four of them dug into the pie, their spoons clinking against the plates as they took their first bites.

"I'm in pie heaven..." Miko murmured, savoring each bite. The sweetness of the apple filling contrasted with the slight tartness, and the crust was so flaky it practically melted in his mouth. Granny's pies never failed to amaze him.

"Scrumdiliumptious!" Applejack exclaimed, her eyes closing in delight as the sweet apple filling melted on her tongue. "Granny's outdone herself this time."

"Easily the best." Big Mac said with a mouthful of pie, his voice muffled but the sentiment clear.

"Hmm! Good as always!" Applebloom said, her eyes sparkling with excitement after she took a bite of her own.

"Really?" Granny Smith asked, raising a skeptical brow. "You think these are the best I've ever made?"

Applejack nodded without hesitation, her mouth still full of delicious apple pie. "Mm-hmm," she said around the mouthful, her eyes sparkling with delight. "They're perfect."

"I totally agree. I'd definitely give it a ten outta ten." Miko said with a nod, his words punctuated by another mouthful of the heavenly dessert.

Granny Smith's eyes lit up at the compliments. "Why thank ya kindly Miko. Besides Applejack with her honesty, it's always nice to hear good truthful feedback from ya."

"What can I say? It's the honest truth. I'm sure people would line up for miles just to get a taste of these pies." Miko said, licking his lips to get every last drop of filling.

Granny chuckled at his honesty. "That's so nice to hear. Anyways, more's coming y'all so ya better be ready for it." She said while pulling out more apple treats for them all to taste.

"Ready? I was born ready!" Miko said with enthusiastically as the Apple siblings agreed.

Two hours later after the taste testing Miko and the Apple siblings were sitting down under the apple tree outside while rubbing they're satisfied stomachs.

"Braah!" Miko burped. "Ahh...that hit the spot." He leaned back into the grass, watching clouds.

Applejack chuckled, wiping a crumb off her chin. "You've always had quite the appetite, Miko. It's a wonder you're not as big as Big Mac here."

"Hey!" Bigger Mac protested good-naturedly.

Miko and the Apple Siblings laughed together under the shade of the apple tree, the warmth of friendship and family resonating in the air. Applebloom looked at Miko with a mix of admiration and curiosity.

"Miko?" She began, her voice small. "Can I ask you somethin'?"

Miko looked at her with a warm smile. "Sure, Applebloom. What's on your mind?"

"What's it like when you're flyin'?" Applebloom asked, her eyes wide with wonder.

Miko smiled at her. "One word: Amazing."

He leaned back, his eyes drifting up to the mid afternoon sky. "It's like nothing you can imagine. The wind rushing past you, the feeling of complete freedom...it's like you're part of the sky itself."

Applebloom's eyes grew even wider, "That sounds so cool!"

"Though I'm still new to flying, so I tend to crash from time to time." Miko jokingly said, rubbing the back of his neck, causing the siblings to laugh.

After few minutes of silence Miko's Phone rang. He took it out of his pocket and looked at the screen. "Pinkie Pie?" He said before picking up but as soon as he did...

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU, YOU IDIOT?!" Limestone Pie, Pinkie's eldest sister's voice boomed through the phone, cutting through the serene afternoon like a chainsaw and scaring the crap out of everyone.

Miko comically winced at the volume of Pinkie's sister. "Whoa, Limestone, chill! What's up?"

"You're late that's what up!" She snapped at him, her voice still just as loud. "Pinkie's been waiting for you for over an hour!"

The Apple siblings watched in various degree of amusement as Miko bickered back and forth with Limestone on the phone.

"Put Pinkie on the phone...dammit woman just put Pinkie on the phone!" He shouted into the phone, trying to be heard over the din of Limestone's ranting.

Finally, the phone was snatched away and the sound of Pinkie's sweet voice filled the air. "Hi Miko! I've been waiting for you!"

"Yeah sorry Pinkie I got a little sidetracked, I'll be there as soon as I can." Miko said with a sigh, rubbing his forehead with his free hand.

He sweatdropped when he heard Limestone continue to rant in the background.

"Okay, okay, I'll be there as soon as I can Pinkie I'll see you later." Miko said into the phone before hanging up.

He stood up with a stretch. "Looks like I've got to go." He said to the Apple siblings with a sheepish smile. "Pinkie's waiting for me."

"Aww...do you have to go?" Applebloom asked, her voice filled with disappointment.

Miko smiled and ruffled her hair. "Sorry Bloomey but I promised Pinkie Pie that I would help her bake a cake today."

"Alright, don't let Limestone boss ya around too much." Applejack teased, nudging him with her elbow.

Miko snorted. "Very funny AJ, I'll keep that in mind." He gave Applebloom a playful noogie before saying his goodbyes to Big Mac and Granny Smith.

But not before giving him a box filled with more apple pies to take home with him. "Here ya go Miko. A little somethin' for the road." Applejack said with a grin.

"Thanks Applejack," Miko said with a genuine smile, taking the box of apple pies from her. "You guys really are the best."

He fist-bumped Big Mac and gave Applebloom a hug before hopping into his car, the scent of apple pie following him like a sweet goodbye.

He gave them one last look of gratitude before backing out of the driveway and driving off.

Soon he arrived at Pinkie's house which was just ten blocks down the street.

After parking his car, Miko walked up to the door of a relatively normal house that always made him think it wasn't the right place because it was so unlike the chaotic whirlwind of color and energy that was Pinkie Pie's personality.

He knocked on the door, soon it was opened by a young woman of age 20 she had bluish gray skin, opalish gray hair, and light apple green eyes.

She was wearing a yellow shirt that had ripped short sleeves and a mark of a lime and two stones at the front, a studded bracelet on her left wrist, a black studded belt with a green buckle, a denim skirt that was ripped at the hem, and final black high heeled leather boots that was spiked at the ankles.

This was Pinkie's eldest sister Limestone Pie.

Miko had a deadpan expression when he saw her. "Limestone."

"You're late." She stated, her arms crossed over her chest.

Miko rolled his eyes at this. "Yeah, you pretty much blew my eardrums over the phone with that." He said sarcastically.

Let it be known that Miko and Limestone never got along since the day they met, always bickering and butting heads.

But for Pinkie's sake they decided to call a truce and stay civil with each other.

Most of the time.

"You gonna let me in or are you just gonna glare at me all day." Miko said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Limestone rolled her eyes before stepping aside. "Just don't break anything again." She warned.

Miko's eye twitched "that was one time..." He murmured to himself as he stepped inside and followed her through the house.

She lead Miko to the kitchen where he saw Pinkie Pie who was wearing an apron. She turned around and immediately smiled upon seeing him and quickly ran up and wrapped him in a hug.

"Hiya Miko! I'm so glad you could make it!" She said, her eyes lighting up as she pulled away from the hug.

Miko chuckled. "Hey Pinks. And what kind of friend would I be if I left you hanging." He said with a smirk.

"Says the one who was late..." Limestone said before leaving the kitchen. "Have fun Pinkie."

Miko rolled his eyes at Limestone's retreating back. "Alright, Pinkie, what's on the baking agenda for today?" He asked, setting down the box of apple pies on the counter.

Pinkie clapped her hands together, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Oh boy, we're making a triple-decker chocolate fudge cake with rainbow frosting and glitter on top!" She exclaimed, bouncing on her toes. "And we're gonna put a little something extra inside..."

Miko couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm. "Alright, you're the boss," he said, placing the box of apple pies on the counter. The sweet scent of the pies filled the kitchen, and Pinkie's eyes lit up.

"Oooh, apple pies! Did Applejack give you these?" she asked, peeking inside the box.

"Yeah, she wanted me to bring some, go on help yourself." Miko said, watching as Pinkie's eyes grew wide.

"Oh wow, thanks Miko!" Pinkie said, taking one out of the box.

Miko chuckled as she took a bite easily half the size of her head. "You're welcome, Pinkie." He said before rolling up his sleeves. "Alright, let's get to it."

After handing him an apron, they soon got to work on baking a cake by first making the cake batter. Miko both mixed the batter until it was just right before pouring it into multiple pans and placing it into the oven and waiting for it to cook.

"So, how was your day with Rainbow Dash and Applejack?" She asked him as they waited for the cakes to cook.

"They were pretty good. Just this morning Dash and I, we went the mall and met A.K. Yearling herself but it turned out that she only had one copy of her latest book left so I decided to just let Dash have it." He said, smiling at the memory.

Pinkie smiled at his generous act. "That was really sweet of you, Miko. Rainbow Dash must have been super happy." She said before taking another bite of her apple pie.

"As for AJ, we got to taste some of Granny Smith's delicious apple pies with Big Mac and Apple bloom." Miko said, his eyes glazed over with the memory of the heavenly dessert.

Pinkie giggled at his expression. "Oh, I can tell you guys had a blast." She took another bite of her apple pie, savoring the flavor.

After Thirty of waiting, the cakes were finally done cooking. Miko took them out and marveled at how perfectly baked they were.

After letting them cool off, he finally got to the part that was the most fun for not just him but for Pinkie as well, decorating the cakes.

You and Pinkie brought out the cake piping tools and started decorating the chocolate cakes with icing. Things were going smoothly... until Pinkie got an idea.

"Hey Miko?" Miko looked up from his meticulous piping to see Pinkie's eyes gleaming with mischief.

"What's up Pinks?" He asked, a hint of wariness in his tone, knowing all too well that look of hers.

Her grin widened. "Think fast!" She shouted before squirting some icing at him which landed on his face and apron.

She laughed at the results while you stood there with his hair shadowing over his eyes.

"Pinkie... do you... have any idea... what this means?" Miko whispered.

"What?" She feigned innocence, her laughter bubbling over as she held the icing bag.

He looked back up his eyes narrowed as he wiped the icing off his face, a smear of chocolate fudge on his cheek.

"This...means...WAR!" Miko cocked his icing bag like a gun and rapidly squirted icing at Pinkie who immediately took cover.

This resulted in a full-on battle between him and Pinkie as they squirted icing at each other which not only got on their faces, clothes, and aprons, but also everything else in the kitchen.

Soon after, the whole kitchen was caked in different colored icing as Miko and Pinkie continued to squirt one another before they were interrupted.

"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!"

They both turned to see an angry Limestone Pie standing by the entrance to the kitchen with two other girls.

The girl on the left looked to be about 18 years old and had sapphire bluish gray skin and brilliant turquoise eyes which had grayish blue violet eye shadow covering them. Her hair was a grayish violet and was completely straight.

She was wearing a dull blue dress with a dark grey belt and black shoes.

She had a very stoic expression on her face.

This was Maud Pie, Pinkie's second oldest sister.

The girl on the right looked to be the same age as Pinkie's age, she had turquoish gray skin, dark cyanish gray hair with spring greenish gray streaks, and grayish violet eyes.

She was wearing a dull purple gray hoodie over a dark greenish grey shirt and matching skirt that had the mark of two marbles on it with dull purple gray sneakers.

She had a very timid expression on her face.

This was Marble Pie, Pinkie's younger twin sister.

Limestone growled before she crossed her arms over her chest. "Well are you two going to tell me why is there icing everywhere in the kitchen?!"

Miko and Pinkie looked at each other with wide eyes then back to Limestone before looking at each other again then to her before they pointed at each other.

"He/She started it!" They said at the same time respectively.

They turned to each other in disbelief before glaring. "No you started it! Me?! Yes you! Stop that!" They both said unintentionally mimicking each other's tone.

"I don't care who started it!" Limestone exclaimed, her voice echoing through the kitchen. "You're both going to clean this up before Mom and Dad gets home!"

Miko raised his hands in a placating manner trying to calm her down. "'Jeez okay, okay, okay, Limestone calm down. We're sorry, we'll clean this place up. Right Pinkie Pie?" He said, turning to look at Pinkie who nodded in agreement.

"Yes indeedily, we're sorry!" Pinkie exclaimed, her voice still filled with laughter as she tried to wipe a glob of chocolate icing from her nose.

She seemed to calm down at their apology. "Just clean it up before Mom and Dad gets home okay." Limestone said in exasperation at her sister and Miko's antics.

"Gotcha, Limey!" Pinkie exclaimed, her smile never faltering.

Limestone just shook her head in a small amount of amusement before leaving the kitchen, muttering something about "kids these days" under her breath.

Miko scratched the back of his head before he turned to Maud and Marble. "Maud, Marble, good to see you both again."

Maud nodded, her usual stoic self. "Hello, Miko."

Marble shyly smiled back. "Hmm" she quietly hummed in greeting.

He smiled sheepishly. "Again sorry about the mess."

Maud just shrugged, her expression unchanging. "It's okay."

Marble nodded in agreement. "Hm-hmm" she hummed in a shy voice.

"We'll leave you to it Pinkie." Maud said calmly, turning to leave with Marble following quietly beside her.

Pinkie and Miko looked around the kitchen, taking in the chaos they had created.

Getting an idea Miko turned to Pinkie with a sly smirk. "Use my super speed to clean this place up?"

Pinkie grinned at the idea. "Go for it!"

Miko eyes glowed blue before in just two minutes the entire kitchen was spotless, once he was everything was clean he dusted his hands with an accomplished grin.

"Wow! That was super, duper, awesomely quick Miko! I kinda forgot that you had super powers for a moment!" She said, clapping her hands together in amazement.

Miko chuckled "Heh, thanks Pinkie. Now, what do you say we get back to decorating the cake?" He said, his glowing blue eyes turning back into their normal green.

"Okie-dokie-lokie!" She squeed before they got back to work on the cake. After a few minutes, the cake was finally finished.

"Aaaand Done!" She announced with a flourish, her eyes sparkling with pride.

Miko stepped back to admire the cake. It was indeed a masterpiece. Three layers of moist chocolate cake, filled with velvety chocolate mousse, and smothered in a heavenly rainbow frosting. It glittered under the kitchen lights like a treasure chest from a fairy tale.

"Wow...we really outdid ourselves on this one, didn't we?" Miko said, looking the cake with a proud smile.

Pinkie nodded, her eyes sparkling with joy. "Yeah, and thanks for your help today Miko."

"No problem Pinks. I mean, what kind of guy would I be if I broke my promises to my friends?" He winked at her playfully. Which garnered a giggle from Pinkie.

After that, Miko, Pinkie, and her siblings helped themselves to the cake that they made.

Moments passed before Miko finished off his slice of cake and decided that it was time to leave.

"I'm guessing you have to go?" Pinkie said, her voice tinged with disappointment.

Miko sighed. "Yes sadly. But I had a lot of fun today Pinkie." He said, giving her a warm smile.

Soo he was exiting her house and waving while she was standing at the door and waving at him.

"Bye-bye Miko!" She called after him, her smile not fading even as the door closed.

Miko slid into his car, feeling the weight of the day's adventures and the sugar rush from the cake. The engine roared to life as he pulled out of Pinkie's driveway, the sun setting and painting the sky a fiery orange.

He checked his phone the time and he still had enough time before dinner. "Okay time to head home."

As he drove, the sunset painted the sky in a warm embrace of purple and pink, reminding him of Twilight's mane.

"Wonder what she is doing right now." He muttered to himself thinking about Twilight.

Soon he had arrived at his house, parking his car in the garage. The quietness of his empty house greeted him as he walked through the front door. The only sound was the faint ticking of the clock in the living room.

He made his way to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water to wash down the sweetness from the cake. As he drank, he couldn't help but think about the day's events and the bond he had with his friends.

He placed the bag with the box of whatever is left of the pie and a container with a slice of cake that Pinkie had given him before he left on the kitchen counter.

He opened the box to see two slices of by left and grinned. "Perfect one for desert and one for breakfast tomorrow." He said to himself.

After having dinner and the slices of cake and pie for desert he cleaned the dishes and pust the last slice of pie in the refrigerator for tomorrow.

After he took a shower he went to his room and laid on his bed, his mind wandering to the events of the day and soon he fell asleep.

The next day, It was now Sunday and Miko was on his way over to the animal shelter to meet up with Fluttershy.

He decided to forego his car and take the bus, once at the bus stop that was a few blocks from the animal shelter he got off and began the short walk.

Soon he reached the animal shelter and walked inside. He saw Fluttershy over by the front desk while signing the volunteer sheet.

She heard him come in and turned around and smiled. "Hi Miko. I'm so glad you could make it."

Miko smiled back. "Wouldn't miss it, Shy. So, which animals are we helping out first?" He asked, eager to start the day's activities.

"Just follow me. But first, be sure to sign your name on the sheet." She pointed to the clipboard with a gentle nod.

He nodded before signing his name and following her. The next few minutes was spent helping Fluttershy by feeding the puppies and kittens and all of the other animals there as well.

Miko was currently feeding some birds as he watched while they chowed down on the seeds they were given.

"There you go guys. A nice helping of delicious seeds." He said with a grin as he sprinkled some seeds into the bird feeder.

Fluttershy soon walked back to him. "How's everything going Miko?" She asked.

"Pretty good Shy. I just got done feeding the birds so that should be it as far as feeding them goes." Miko said as he finished up with the last bird.

Fluttershy nodded with a gentle smile. "That's good to hear. Come on, we need to clean the pens and cages next." She said before leading the way to the rows of pens and cages.

Miko followed her to the pens where they kept some of the animals and started cleaning them. Things were going well until you came across one particular cage.

He then started gagging from the horrendous smell coming from it due to the old dog smell. He rushed to a nearby trash can and started throwing up into it. After a moment or two, you stopped vomiting and took a moment to breathe.

"Holy crap! That stinks!" Miko exclaimed, while trying to catch his breath.

Fluttershy giggled slightly before she walked up behind you and rubbed your back gently. "Are you okay Miko?"

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine. Jeez, Fluttershy. How long did it take for you to get used to...that?" He asked referring to the smell.

She thought for a moment before answering. "About a week."

His eyes widened at that. "A week?! Well, now I really need to respect you for being able to handle that." Miko said with a chuckle.

She giggled again. He straightened back up and composed himself. "Okay, I think I'm fine now. I think-" he cut himself off as the smell hit his nose again and his face turned green.

"No totally not fine..." Miko said before he started vomiting again into the trash can while Fluttershy rubbed he back again and she giggled once more.

After that... unfortunate incident, Miko and Fluttershy got back to work on cleaning the pens and cages. Once that was done, the both of decided to have lunch in the nearby break room. told her about your experiences with Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie yesterday as she intently listened.

"So, you got to meet A.K. Yearling as well as eat apple pie with Applejack? And had an icing fight with Pinkie? Your weekend was definitely more exciting than mine," Fluttershy said with a chuckle, taking a bite of her sandwich.

"Hey Shy, this might be out of the blue but do you have any siblings?" He asked even though he already knew but she didn't need to know that.

At his question Fluttershy sighed. "Yeah, I do. I have a brother named Zephyr Breeze."

Miko's eyebrows raised in surprise at that. "Wait, Zephyr Breeze? You mean that self-absorbed hipster guy who's always trying to get a date with Dash but always ends up getting rejected in the end?" He asked.

Miko remembered that he came across him on more than one occasion when he always tried to ask Rainbow Dash out but she always turned him down every time by either flat out just saying no or by avoiding him. This was also followed up by Fluttershy sighing annoyingly every time.

For some reason Zephyr's constant one sided flirting with Rainbow Dash always irritated him a bit and he didn't know why.

She nodded in confirmation. "Yeah, that's him. He's my younger brother." She groaned, rolling her eyes. "He can be a bit much at times, but he's got his heart in the right place."

"Wait, Younger?! But the dude looks like he should be in college by now. No offense." He said with a bit of shock.

She giggled a bit at his reaction before nodding. "None taken. But yeah, I get that a lot. Everyone always assumes that he's the older sibling whenever they see us." She said before taking a sip of water.

"Huh. Well that's interesting." He said before he went back to eating. As they were eating however, they soon heard some ruckus coming from the other room which got both of they're attention.

"What the heck is going on in there?" Miko exclaimed, setting his sandwich down.

"I don't know. Let's go look." Fluttershy said, setting down her own sandwich and standing up.

Miko nodded before he stood up and walked out of the break room to see that all of the animals had gotten out of control.

Fluttershy gasped. "Oh no! We need to calm all of them down!"

"Don't worry Shy. I think I know how to get them to stop." He said with a wink before he walked forward and started whistling rather melodically.

This soon made all of the animals stop whatever it was they were doing and they started getting sleepy.

Soon the animals all fell fast asleep and he stopped whistling as Fluttershy stared at Miko with an astonished look.

'Wow, he whistles so wonderfully. I wonder if he can also sing.' She thought to herself looking at him in amazement.

Miko released a sigh of relief once he was sure every single animal was asleep. "Alright, that's about taken care of. Let's round them up and finish lunch."

Fluttershy, still staring at him, whispered, "How did you do that?"

"I have my ways." He said with a mysterious smirk. "But let's not keep those poor animals waiting. We've got work to do."

The two started carefully putting each animal back into their own cages and pens.

After a few minutes, all the animals were back where they were supposed to and Fluttershy went back to continue to eat lunch in the break room.

Once they were done with lunch, they went back to work. Some time had passed before it was time for Miko to leave. Fluttershy followed him to the front entrance as he signed out on the volunteer sheet.

"Thanks for coming by and helping me with the animals Miko." She said with a warm smile.

"There's no need to thank me Fluttershy. I was happy to help. Now I've gotta get home and clean myself before I go to meet Rarity at Carousel Boutique." He said as he gave her a playful wink.

Fluttershy giggled and watched as Miko made his way out the door. "See you at school Miko."

Miko waved back. "See ya, Shy."

After flying back home and cleaning himself self up, he sneakily flew back into the city and straight towards Carousel Boutique to meet up with Rarity.

Miko walked through the front door to see that she was waiting for him inside. "Hey, Rares."

"Hello again Miko darling. It's so wonderful to see you again." Rarity greeted before giving him a quick hug.

They soon broke the hug. "You as well. So, you said you wanted me to be a model for you?"

She nodded. "That I did. You see, I've been planning to make a new ensemble of men's wear but I needed someone to model for me. That's when I decided to ask you for help." She said with a smile.

"Well, you came to the right person Rares. Where do we start?" He asked, happy to help his friend.

She smiled at his willingness. "Right this way darling."

Rarity lead him to a back portion of the boutique where she got his measurements. She then gave him one of the suits that she had made for her ensemble and asked him to try it on.

Miko went into one of the changing rooms and put on the suit before opening the curtain and walking out. Rarity's eyes widened upon seeing him in the fancy clothing.

"So how do I look?" Miko asked, spinning around in the well-tailored suit. He felt a bit out of place in the fancy attire, but he knew it was all for the sake of helping Rarity.

She clapped her hands with a smile. "It looks splendid on you darling. You look just like a handsome prince." She teased at the end.

Miko couldn't help but chuckle at her dramatic flair. "Thanks, Rares. But I'm not so sure about the whole 'prince' part."

Rarity rolled her eyes playfully. "Don't be so modest. You look absolutely dashing."

"Though I do have to admit that this one is really well made Rarity. Easily, your best work yet." He said with a genuine smile.

Rarity blushed slightly at the compliment before chuckling. "Well, as much as I appreciate the compliment darling, I like to think that my best work is still yet to come."

"Come on Rarity, you really need to stop being so modest. Your clothing is easily the best that I've seen." He said honestly with an encouraging smile. "I'm honestly really surprised that some of the top fashionistas haven't at the very least taken you in as a protege because you clearly have a natural talent for it."

Her eyes widened with surprise at his praise. "You really think so?" Rarity's voice was filled with a hopefulness that Miko hadn't heard before.

"I know so." Miko grinned, his confidence in Rarity's talent unwavering. "Your designs could take the fashion world by storm."

Rarity's cheeks grew rosier at his kind words, a rare smile lighting up her eyes. "Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves. I'm just happy to be able to make clothes for my friends."

They both chuckled at that before Rarity snapped back into business mode. "Now, what do you say you try on the rest of the suits that I made?"

Miko nodded in agreement. "Let's see what you got."

With that said, Miko modeled with the rest of the suits that Rarity wanted him to try on for about an hour before it was time for him to leave.

"Well I gotta go, as fun as this was, I really need to get going if I'm gonna go see Sunset." He said as he took the last suit off and handed it to Rarity.

Rarity nodded understandingly. "Of course darling. Thank you so much for your help today. I couldn't have done it without you." She took the suit from him and placed it back on the hanger.

"No problem. I'll see you at school." Miko promised, giving Rarity a reassuring pat on the shoulder.

With that, he headed out but not before giving one last wave to Rarity.

Once outside he headed straight to Sunset Shimmer's home.

'If you're anything like your pony counterpart Rarity you're going to get an amazing fashion empire just as big as hers, if not more.' Miko thought to himself with a smile as he walked to Sunset's house.

Miko walked through the city of Canterlot until he eventually made it to Sunset's house which was a somewhat small two floor building.

Ever since the events of the Fall Formal, Miko made it a habit to visit her often in order to see how she was handling everything.

He rang the doorbell and waited for about a minute before Sunset finally opened the door and smiled at him.

"Hey, Miko." She stepped outside, closing the door behind her. "What's up?"

"Hey Sunset. As I promised, I came by to hang out with you, so ready to head to the Videogame store at the mall?" Mikoto asked, his tone cheerful and his eyes sparkling with excitement.

He knew how much Sunset had been struggling with her new path towards redemption, and he wanted to make sure she felt included and supported.

Sunset nodded. "Yeah, let's go. I've been dying to try out that new game that came out." She said, a hint of excitement in her voice.

"Alright then. Just grab whatever essentials you need and let's get going." He said, already turning around and starting to walk towards the direction of the mall.

On they're way to the mall they started having a conversation.

"So Sunset, how are things with you?" Miko asked as they strolled down the sidewalk, the cool late afternoon breeze brushing past them.

Sunset sighed. "Well, it's been a bit of a rough patch. I've been trying to make amends, but it's not easy after what I did." She paused, her eyes drifting to the ground. "Some people still don't trust me."

"Hey don't worry about it so much, they'll come around sooner or later." He said putting a comforting hand on her shoulder.

Sunset looked up at him with a small smile. "Thanks, Miko. You're right. It just takes time, I guess."

"Yeah, but you're doing great so far. You've got all of us behind you." Miko said with a reassuring squeeze before dropping his hand.

They arrived at the mall and made their way to the video game store, the neon lights and the sound of various games playing echoing through the corridor.

"Finally I've been waiting to get my hands on Sonic X Shadow Generations" Miko said, practically bouncing as he looked at the poster of the game.

She blinked in Surprise that he doesn't have it yet. "Wait didn't that came out last month why didn't you...get...it...then...oh." she said before she remembered the Fall Formalwas last month eaning he didn't have time to go get it."

"Y-yeah with everything that happened last month it slipped my mind. Not that I'm blaming you or anything!" He added quickly with a chuckle, not wanting to bring up any negative memories.

Sunset rolled her eyes playfully. "Well, let's make sure to grab it before someone else does!"

One thing Miko Learned this past month was that Sunset was also an avid gamer like him.

They rushed into the game store, the sounds of various consoles and TV screens playing games flooding the air. The atmosphere was electric with excitement and the smell of new plastic game cases filled the room.

"Okay besides buying the games I want to buy, what about you Sunset? What are you gonna get?"

"I've been eyeing that new RPG that everyone's been talking about, 'Chronicles of Harmony'. It's supposed to be the next big thing in gaming." Sunset said with a shrug.

Miko's eyes lit up. "Oh, that one with the epic fantasy world and the deep character customization? Yeah, I heard good things. Maybe we can play it together sometime."

"That would be fun," Sunset said, a hint of excitement in her voice.

The two friends spent hours in the game store, trying out demos and debating over which games to purchase. Miko picked up a couple of action titles recommendations from the employees, while Sunset focused on the RPG section, her eyes scanning over the vast array of options.

Soon they left the videogame store, each with their arms full of their new purchases. Miko had picked out a couple of games that he knew Sunset would enjoy as well, hoping to strengthen their bond through their shared hobby.

Miko couldn't stop looking at the Sonic X Shadow Generations game box, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Man, I've been waiting for this game for ages!" He exclaimed.

Sunset chuckled, "Yeah, I can tell. You're practically drooling over it."

"Hey." He playfully bumped her with his shoulder. "It's not every day I get to play as my favorite edgy hedgehog." Miko quipped.

They soon left the mall with their bags full of games and made their way to the Park for little relaxation. They found a nice spot under a large willow tree and sat down, their laughter echoing through the serene area.

The tree they were sitting on was on top of a hill in the park, giving them a view of the entire city. They sat down on the soft, green grass, taking a moment to catch their breath from the excitement of the shopping trip. Sunset leaned back on the tree, a soft sigh escaping her lips as she closed her eyes, feeling the cool shade wash over her.

Miko looked over at her, the corners of his mouth tugging into a gentle smile. "You okay?" He asked.

"Yeah," Sunset said with a nod, opening her eyes to meet his gaze. "Just enjoying the moment."

After a while she decided to break the silence to ask him a question "Hey Miko?"

"Yeah?" He responded without looking away from the sunset, which was just starting to paint the sky with strokes of red and orange.

"I've been meaning to ask. You said that you had your powers ever since the end of freshman year, but do you know where you got them from? I mean, did one or both of your parents have powers too?" She asked with genuine curiosity.

Miko shrugged at he question "No idea, they just appeared one day out of the blue, and as for my parents...I don't know since I was found at the orphanage as a baby."

Sunset's smile faded slightly at his words, her expression filled with sympathy. "Oh, Miko, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to pry."

Miko waved off her apology, "Nah, it's fine I already told the others I think you deserve know this too, just think of it as a sign of my trust."

The two of them sat in comfortable silence for a moment before Miko spoke up again. "It all started at the near end of freshman year, I was walking to a bus stop in town to go home after buying groceries one night when I was suddenly pulled into an alleyway by a group of thugs and they weren't the mugging type."

Sunset leaned in, intrigued by his story. "What happened?"

"They were going to kill me just because." He said causing her to gasp.

"I was scared, so scared then that I had never felt before." He took a deep breath before continuing. "But something happened...I felt something in me that i never felt before then before I knew it my body moved on autopilot, after getting out of their grip, I sent them flying to a wall with just a punch."

Sunset's eyes widened at the revelation. "Wow, that's intense. What happened after that?"

"When I realized what I did, I checked on them to see if they were alive, luckily they were just unconscious, after that I ran out of there and headed home." He said, his eyes drifting back to the horizon as he remembered that fateful night. "Unfortunately I had little to no control over my strength so I had to be really careful around others."

"You became a loner because of that?" Sunset's voice was soft, her eyes full of understanding.

"Yeah. The Phantom of CHS." He said remembering how he got that name because he tends to disappear like a Ghost or Phantom at a glance. "It was safer that way. I didn't want to hurt anyone by mistake." Miko said with a hint of sadness in his voice.

Sunset nodded, her gaze never leaving his. "I can imagine it wasn't easy for you."

"It wasn't, but I managed." Miko shrugged, his eyes never leaving the horizon. "But then you all came along. You didn't just accept me, you embraced me for who I am, powers and all. That's when I realized maybe I wasn't meant to be alone."

"Sunset smiled at that. "So how did you get control of your powers?"

Miko chuckled in nostalgia when he met his special someone. "When I was at my lowest I met someone, at first I kept my distance from her but she was stubborn... shockingly enough when she saw me use my powers once i thought she would be afraid but instead she helped me."

"Who was it?" Sunset questioned, her curiosity piqued.

Miko winked at her. "I think I'll keep that to myself for now, it's best when you and the others meet her in person."

Sunset's curiosity grew but she let the subject go, knowing that when Miko was ready, he'd tell them. For now, she was just happy to see him smile and be at ease.

"She's smart, like super genius smart. And thanks to a ton of her research and analysis we learned that there was more to my powers then I realized, so after a year of rigorous training, meditation, and more analysis and tests I finally learned how to turn my powers on and off like a switch." Miko said, a sense of pride in his voice.

Sunset nodded, taking in the information. "Wow, that's incredible, Miko. You've really come a long way."

"Yeah, and it's all thanks to her." He said, his voice filled with gratitude.

"And so, all of those times you were easily able to get out of any of my schemes-" She began, her voice trailing off with a hint of amazement.

"Because of my powers? Yeah." He chuckled, "But I was also a big prankster back in middle school. So I kinda gained a sixth sense for when someone's planning something." He said with a smirk.

Sunset rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help but laugh. "You're something else, Miko."

Miko grinned back at her, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "That's what they all say."

The two of them sat there, the setting sun casting long shadows over the park as they talked about their shared love for gaming and their plans to play the games they had bought together.

"Hey Sunset? Do you think you could maybe tell me a little bit more about Equestria?" Miko asked, breaking the comfortable silence as the sun dipped lower in the sky.

Her eyes snapped open and she looked at him in surprise. "You want to know more about Equestria? Didn't Twilight tell you everything about it already?"

Miko shrugged. "Ehh, she only told me the basic info such as Equestria having magic and that the world is inhabited by ponies and many other races and how there's a pony version of our friends as well as Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna who are the rulers there, but that's just about it." He said leaning back on his hands.

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to know a little bit more about my world. So, sure. I'll tell you." She said with a smile.

She then proceeded to tell Miko more about Equestria. He learned about other races such as dragons, griffons, changelings, and other creatures. She also told him how the pony versions of Celestia and Luna were over a thousand years old and how they were able to control both the sun and the moon.

While Miko already knew about everything it didn't hurt to have a refresher.

He also learned some new things about Equestria that FiM didn't mention.

"Wow, that is a lot to take in all at once." He said with a whistle.

"Yeah, it is. I'm sure you can imagine my surprise when I learned that this world's sun and moon aren't manipulated by magic. " She said with a chuckle, her eyes shining with amusement.

But as the sun dipped even lower, casting a warm glow over their faces, Miko noticed that Sunset's expression grew more solemn. She was staring off into the distance, her gaze unfocused, and her smile had faded.

"Hey, you okay?" Miko asked in concern, noticing the shift in Sunset's demeanor.

She shook her head with ba sigh. "It's nothing Miko. It's just... it's just that I been working so hard in order to get everyone at CHS to like and trust me, but it hasn't really been bearing a lot of fruit lately. Aside from maybe a few students and also you and our friends, everyone else still either hates me or are undecided because of everything I did." She said with a sad smile.

Miko leaned over to her, placing his hand on her shoulder. "Look, it's gonna take time Sunset, I mean you can't just expect everyone to forgive you in an instant."

Sunset nodded but didn't look at him. "I know, it's just...it's harder than I thought it would be."

"It's just they're all just afraid that... I'll turn into that demon again which I don't blame them in the slightest for. Miko... I'm scared. I'm scared of becoming that demon again. What if I hurt everyone? What if... what if I hurt you and everyone else you care for and love? I... I don't know what to do!" She then broke down and started crying.

Miko scooted over to her and wrapped her in a warm hug as she began crying on his shoulder.

"Hey, hey, it's okay. You won't turn into that demon again. We won't let that happen." He said, rubbing her back soothingly.

Sunset looked up at him, her eyes red and puffy. "How can you be so sure?"

"Sunset, you really don't need to worry about that because you now have our friends... you now have me. As long as we're here for you, you won't have to worry about having those kinds of fears anymore." He said with a gentle smile, wiping a tear from her cheek with his thumb.

Sunset looked up at him with a watery smile. "Thanks, Miko. That means a lot."

"There's no need to thank me Sunset. I'm here for you." He said with sincerity.

He was about to end the hug but she still maintained her iron grip on him.

"Do you think... we could... stay like this for just a little bit longer." She asked while having a slight blush on her face.

Miko just gave her another gentle smile at that. "Of course."

They remained cuddled up next to each other for the next few moments after that while watching the sun slowly disappear behind the horizon.

After watching the sun finally set and as night finally came, Miko and Sunset started heading back to her house as the two of them talked.

"Thanks for hanging out with me today Miko, I had a lot of fun." She said with a genuine smile on her face.

"No problem, Sunset. Anytime you need to get out of the house or just talk, I'm here for you." He said with a smile of his own.

After a few minutes, they finally made it her place.

"Thanks for walking me home, Miko." Sunset said as they stopped in front of her house, her voice a little hoarse from the earlier crying.

"No problem, Sunset. It's what friends do." He replied, his tone calm and comforting. He looked into her eyes, which had lost their shine from earlier but had a newfound warmth in them. "Remember what I said, you're not alone anymore."

She smiled and gave him one last hug before letting go and walking up to her front door. "I'll see you tomorrow at school. But before you go, I really wanna give you something?"

Miko raised an eyebrow. "Oh, what is it?"

She walked up to him and kissed his cheek, taking him by surprise. "What was that for?" He asked, his cheeks tinted pink.

"I never got to thank you for what you did for me after the Fall Formal." She said blushing a little. "And I just wanted to show my appreciation." Sunset said with a small smile.

"W-well... you're... totally welcome." Miko stuttered blushing before he cleared his throat to regain his composure. "I'll see you later Sunset. Be sure to give me a call or text if you need anything okay?"

Sunset nodded with a smile. "I will. See you later Miko and goodnight."

"Goodnight Sunset." Miko said with a gentle wave as he watched her go inside her house before turning around to walk home, his heart fluttering slightly from the kiss on the cheek.

Once Sunset was inside her face burst crimson red while her mind was running wild with thoughts.

'w-why the hell did i do that?' Sunset thought as she quickly closed the door and leaned against it. She felt a warm feeling in her chest as she remembered the gentle smile on Miko's face when she kissed him. 'I didn't mean to do that, it just kind of happened!' She tried to convince herself.

'am...am I falling for him?' She wondered, her thoughts racing. 'No, no, I can't be. I mean, he's great and all, but I... I can't. Can I?'

Back with Miko.

He finally got home and his mind was running a mile a minute.

Sunset Shimmer kissed him on the cheek.

The Sunset Shimmer kissed him on the cheek!

First Rainbow Dash and now Sunset Shimmer? Miko couldn't believe his luck.

'what the hell is happening?! Am I a harem protagonist or something?! He mentally screamed after entering his room and slamming the door shut. He threw his bag onto his bed and sat down at his desk, trying to process the events of the day.

Miko took a deep breath and leaned back in his chair, his thoughts swirling around like a tornado. Rainbow's kiss, Sunset's kiss, and the sudden realization that he might just might have feelings for not just one, but two of his closest friends.

Miko vehemently shook his head. 'Get a hold of yourself Tsuburaya, you already have a girlfriend a loving wonderful girlfriend.' he thought as he grabbed a pillow and smacked himself in the face with it. 'You're not going to ruin that with your indecisive feelings!'

"And besides I can't focus on that right now..." He said before looking at the calendar on the wall.

"Five months left before the events of Rainbow Rocks." He murmured to himself.

There were times he was worried about possible butterfly effects or unexpected outcomes that might happen from his involvement in this universe.

Since the end of the Fall Formal he knew there might be more to the story than he had anticipated.

But as long as he had his friends by his side, Miko felt ready to face whatever challenges the future held.

He chuckled before smirking in assurance.

"Well whatever comes our way we'll be ready, I'll be ready."
