PREVIOUS CHAPTER REVIEWS/COMMENTS
FFN Death Fury: Excellent chapter.
Response: Thanks again for the praise to help keep me motivated.
FFN shirkahn: Oh boy. Things are heating up. Eager to see what you got planned next.
Response: Oh you don't know the half and half of it yet. But yeah, the festival should kick off by chapter 30 the latest. So in a few chapters you will see the two classes clash.
AUTHORS NOTE
First off, I apologize if this chapter sets some people off, but I needed to put it somewhere before the sports festival begins. So, I tried to put as much of the harsher stuff into this and the next chapter as much as possible. But overall it should make the inevitable flaming trash can with limbs going down for good all the sweeter. With that said, enjoy the chapter folks.

IZUKU MIDORIYA POV
Surrounded by enemies I stood shoulder to shoulder with Tetsu and Kendo as we were at the forefront of the pack with my only friend who transferred from 1-A to 1-B with me at my back. Even so I saw no reason to worry for once in my life as I had my classmates, my friends by my side. Giving a subtle nod to Tetsu and Kendo after locking eyes with each of them by means of a sideways glance getting nods and smiles from both of them. "All right everyone… let show them that we are heroes, NOT THEIR PREY!" I told everyone as we ran into the fight before us in groups.
TODOROKI HOUSEHOLD
SHOTO TODOROKI POV
Being sent flying back by my father's left-handed undercut, I spat out a bit of blood. Even so, I had to get back up quickly if I wanted to avoid too much yelling from him. "You need to do better than that if you face Midoriya in the ring!" He said to me, his son, as if I was just another one of his self-conscious sidekicks who seek his approval to feel they aren't wasting their time being heroes.
His glare was intense, with only his eyes moving to follow me as I got up shakily. Ever since we started training for the sport festival, I have been wondering why he was having us do only quirkless sparring till the sports festival. But considering that he kept bringing up Midoriya after I told him how strong they were in physical abilities alone during my first day at UA. I had a good idea as to why he kept mentioning her.
Ever since then though, I kept quiet saying stuff like "I don't know". Other times I would straight up lie by saying "Why should I waste my time paying attention to someone who probably just got demoted to general education". I knew full well that they had been transferred to 1-B, but knowing my father, his attention being on them was a bad sign.
Of course it was obvious why he was doing all of this; well it was once I took the time to think about it. It seemed after his attempt with my mother to make me and my siblings… he intends to use her and me to the same effect. If they were really born male, I would worry more for my sister, but it was clear that my father has come to the wrong conclusion. Unlike him though, I have most definitely figured out the truth, no way to be wrong, it is practically a fact that all I need to do is confirm at this point.
Izuku Midoriya… IS PHYSICALLY A GIRL! It was clear that they were born female but are trans male, but my theory is not baseless.
It was clear that despite being told they were male, they were wearing the female uniform on the first day. The only way Nezu would make such a mistake is if they were physically female at birth and were not acknowledged by their previous school. So, despite the quirked animal being easily accepting of others, it was an unavoidable mistake. A mistake that was clearly corrected as Midoriya was now wearing the male uniform and using the male changing room/bathrooms.
"HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO BEAT HER ON EVEN TERMS IF YOU ARE USING YOUR QUIRK AND SHE ISN'T!" Endeavour shouted as he swept me from underneath my feet. Then slamming his fist down on my gut knocking me to the ground before I would have naturally fallen.
It was comments like this that made it clear he intended to have me convince her somehow in a convoluted method to marry me. Forcing her to live her life in the opposite way that she clearly wants to make me sick. He may have taken away my freedom, but I will not allow him to take away anyone else's.
The sparring continued to get harsher with each round of fighting, even after we switched to me attacking him rather than defending his attacks.
Grabbing my leg and slamming my back against the ceiling before throwing me back to the other side of the dojo. The whiplash and the nausea from being literally tossed around made me want to puke as my vision was unblurring itself.
Fire blasts from his elbows to boost palm strikes to my stomach, chest, and finally my face in a centered line three-point strike. Making me want to puke, to gasp for air, and hold my head still as I feel like my brain is rattling, all of this in this exact order.
Pinning me to the floor after catching my punch, then using another boost of fire from his elbows to apply more pressure on me after using his body weight. Feeling my muscles and bones practically scream as they tried to resist the oppression force from above. My lungs felt as though they were burning, as all the air around me was literally getting hotter with each passing second, to an almost suffocating degree.
Blocking my strike by crossing his arms, then pulling mine apart along with his own to create an opening to give a fire boosted kick to between my chest and stomach. A literal searing pain as I definitely got a minor burn from such an attack. This time both my lungs and stomach felt like they were burning, albeit not as bad as when he would focus such an attack on the dead center of either specific area.
He always was intense with me in my training, but ever since he heard about Midoriya, he was as obsessive with them as he is with All Might. Fortunately, that was truly an almost, but it was close enough to be highly disturbing even with that little bit of breathing room. That was also after my years of getting desensitized to it, so I cannot even begin to imagine how others would react.
UA CLASS 1-A
THIRD PERSON POV
Aizawa had seen the clear looks of distress on his students' faces as soon as he told them he had an important announcement. Though he could not really blame them for it, as the USJ incident trauma was still very recent. "Before anyone starts breaking down on me, it is a simple announcement about the sports festival's new date." He said as they all began to calm down at this.
"Apologies sensei! But may I ask why you needed to talk to us about this instead of just emailing all the students?" Momo asked him, wondering why UA did not use that simpler method.
This was not a bad question in his eyes, as he was fully aware like she was about the simple email option. "To simplify things, the USJ incident has forced us to reevaluate UA security. As such the sports festival will be delayed from the first week of May to the second week. So, your offers will most likely be less than if the heroes had the original time they would have had to review your performances." He told them in a dull yet clearly frustrated voice on their behalf.
Kaminari raised a shaky hand, getting a nod from Aizawa to speak. "W-what if we don't get any offers at all?" Kaminari asked in a nervous tone, his tone clear he was more worried about himself the most. Granted it was a sentiment that many others also cared about as well,
"A good question, we are making arrangements so that even if some people do not get any offers. We can still guarantee you an internship with a good hero." He told them all, seeing them all truly relax now. However, he still needed to drop another bombshell on them, again with no explanation due to the HPSC forcing this decision on them. If he did explain to them as to why, they would deny it and sue his and UA asses for it making it harder to protect the students from them than it already was.
"Katsuki Bakugo will be returning to 1-A in time for the sports festival due to the HPSC taking their time to personally train him. The remainder of homeroom as well as the first class will be a study period, I need to go do something." Aizawa said his piece, heading towards Principal Nezu office as he was instructed to discuss how to handle Bakugo at the sports festival.
It was only a few minutes after he left for the chaos of 1-A to assume control of the entire class, with the class now clearly divided into three groups. Even if one of the two groups would split off and join one of the other two eventually. Once they decide what to do properly or find the courage to do so as even this group was essentially divided into three as well.
For the first group, the reasonable group you could call them, were as follows. Momo Yaoyorozu, Shoto Todoroki, Fumikage Tokoyami, Yuga Aoyama, and Kyoka Jiro. Momo Yaoyorozu being on their side now would surprise the others but would definitely be welcomed by them. With Momo being one of the two class representatives, this helped to give their side a leg to stand on in any arguments.
The second group was the bystander group, this consisted of the fewest numbers. Mezo Shoji, Tsuyu Asui, Koji Koda, and Denki Kaminari made up this group as none wanted to pick a single side. The first two of this second group were simply cautious individuals who could tell they had not enough information to come to a proper decision yet. While the second two of this group were simply too shy to pick either side. This was despite Kaminari thinking the third group was probably right with Koda thinking the reasonable group was right.
Finally, was the third group, this was the remainder of the class led by Tenya Ida. A person who stubbornly refused to accept that he was wrong. That a person who comes from an elite hero family like his that spans several generations, could not be wrong with his judgment of others. Ojiro, Sero, and Uraraka who were closer to the reasonable group than the others in this third group. Are still very much of the opinion that Izuku looked down on them simply playing the victim to get them in trouble.
"HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY DEFEND THEM! THEY ARE CLEARLY A SCHEMER OF THE HIGHEST DEGREE!" Ida said in a loud voice that was just a few decibels below actually yelling, chopping his hands in the air before him.
"It is because we are wrong about them, and about Hagakure as well. You should all also apologize to them both for what you also did and said to them." Momo told them calmly with only a hint of frustration in her voice, no actual hypocrisy behind her words. The lack of hypocrisy due to her already apologizing to them as well.
The arguing only intensified further, with accusations flying between both sides. Small ones ranging from jealousy trying to get the others dropped from the hero course. To more outlandish ones like the reasonable group being traitors for 1-B, planning to eventually join them and make one bigger class. It was that last one that tipped the scales in a way that Aizawa feared most.
"Traitor?..." Kirishima softly spoke, in a mumble missed by all but three individuals in the room, two of them being on the reasonable group side.
"What now, if you still wish to argue THEN SPEAK UP! I MAY NOT HAVE ACTUAL EARS AS A SENTIENT QUIRK BUT I STILL HAVE EXCELLENT HEARING!" Dark Shadow said, annoyed that this human was now mumbling during an argument of such important circumstances.
"YAOYOROZU AND TODOROKI ARE TRAITORS WORKING FOR THE VILLAINS!" Kirishima shouted over everyone else, pointing a hardened finger at them as silence permeated the room. Eventually though, someone had to break this silence. When they did do so, it was not done to deescalate the situation.
"... WHAT THE FUCK!?" Jiro exclaimed as his shout broke her out of her initial stunned silence when she picked it up at first.
"SHE WAS TRYING TO GET US TO GO ON THE DEFENSIVE TO DELAY FIGHTING THEM AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!" Kirishima declared, not realizing still that she was trying to be tactical in that battle. Trying to create an item to take multiple of them all down at once rather than risk multiple one on one battles. Which would eventually get all three of them surrounded and overwhelmed like the two of them nearly caused to happen.
"HE'S RIGHT! TODOROKI'S GROUP WAS BEING CHASED FOR A LONG TIME RATHER THAN KILLED INSTANTLY. ON TOP OF THAT HE WAS IN COMPLETE SHOCK WHEN HE REALIZED HE KILLED THEM INSTEAD OF PRETENDING TO DRIVE THEM OFF!" Mina backed up Kirishima.
She was half right in her perception of what happened to Todoroki's group, but equally if not more so wrong about what happened. She was half right in that the villains were told to avoid outright killing and hurting the group of four more than necessary. But she was wrong about all of them being traitors as only Yuga Aoyama was the traitor among the students… well the only intentional traitor anyways.
Izuku, though he technically told the villains their weaknesses, was unaware he was doing so. As he was unaware of who his father really was and what his first day analysis of his former classmates' quirks led to that day.
As for the villains, well that was because she had not seen the charred corpse of a person she had killed yet. If she had seen what he did, she would have understood why he was so shocked. But due to her not seeing the condition of the bodies due to police and teachers hiding it from them due to trying to prevent more trauma. She was under the impression that it was not as bad as they said it was and Aizawa was just trying to scare them again to warn them for the future.
Fortunately for Momo and the others, the first period was nearly over, so Nezu relayed a message over the PA system. "Attention all students, please proceed if needed to your second period class, if there is no need to change location then just make sure you are prepared to start when the teacher arrives." this message was the only reason the class went silent again due to not wanting to be late for the next class.
UA CLASS 1-B
THIRD PERSON POV
Vlad King told his class about the new date for the sport festival and got very good responses from them, as well as requests to do extra teamwork training. When he said that he would have to cut into their rescue training days to do so to balance the extra quirk training Izuku needed, they agreed to it just fine. With that done he left for a meeting during the first period with the other teachers to discuss what to do during the sports festival involving Bakugo and the HPSC.
"All right everyone, let's discuss strategies and partners for the sports festival event." Kendo said with the underlying message of 'We need to protect Midoriya and Hagakure from most of 1-A since there will be a good chance they will target them out of spite.', this message being unnoticed by the people who are being protected.
"I suggest we have at least one person in each group to help with any quick escapes if they are needed." Monoma said as he slowly walked to the front with his arms held open.
"A REAL MAN DOESN'T RUN AWAY!" Tetsutetsu shouts as he slams a closed fist on his desk, making a small indent on his desk.
"And unlike you, most of us don't have a quirk physically strong enough to hold out till we get back up." Monoma countered him calmly before he released a sigh, shaking his head at his classmate's usual stubbornness.
"He is right Tetsutetsu, sometimes it is better to run away then hold on till backup arrives." Shishida told his metallic skinned classmate, as unlike them, he is able to understand the obvious lesser limits of his frailer classmates.
"First off, let's make two lists of names before we divide the groups for the sports festival sections. DEFENSE and ESCAPE, from there we can build up the teams around them. Any objections?" Kendo asked them all as she finished the list getting nods all around from the class.
"After examining everyone's quirks by copying them, or attempting to in some cases. I can guarantee that Tetsutetsu, Shishida, and Tsuburaba are definitely in the defense category. Shiozaki vines are also good for making a defensive wall or restraining an enemy from what I have seen her do."
"Don't forget that Bondo glue and Rin scales can also restrain or delay enemies. So, they should go into both categories." Izuku suggested, making both boys feel embarrassed as he praised their quirks so easily.
"Good point, I will make sure to mark them down as both." Kendo told him, glad she told him that. If no one told her she would have likely put them on escape only, not realizing that a restraining quirks like theirs that generated a substance to work could be used as both if they ran while making the scales or glue.
"Then shouldn't Pony also be in both?" Tokage asked, easily seeing in that case how their American classmate would qualify for both with her floating horns.
"No, I don't think so, between her own fast running speed and the saddle on her costume, along with her floating horns. She would be better for carrying people away from the fighting rather than try to block attacks using her horns. I mean, even I can toss aside her horns if she tries to use them to push me back." Izuku points out, as so far he has only been able to use one for all on the scale of a minor physical enhancement quirk against them.
"In that regard Tokage detached limbs could allow her to carry one person away if they're on the heavier side but two if they're on the lighter side. In that case, let's put a star beside anyone who can't carry all their team members away. Also, for those who can only make a momentary or minor defensive maneuver. That way, in the worst-case scenario each group has a chance of all of them escaping." Monoma pointed out as he put stars beside Tokage and Rin names.
"Yanagi should also be on escape duty, but she has a weight limit right?" Manga asked as he looked to the person that he spoke of for confirmation, getting a nod of yes. "Then she probably can't carry more than at most two light people along with herself like with Setsuna." He finished as both Monoma and Kendo nodded to each other for confirmation before Monoma added her.
"I'm in a similar situation to Bondo with my quirk. So, I can hold the enemy down or delay them just as well as he can." Honenuki said, with Kendo smiling as it was another name to add to the list.
"Since he volunteered himself before others could suggest him, I should also point out I can make barricades with my words. But it is more like Rin quirk where I can only block for probably just a moment if we must resort to running away." Manga spoke up, feeling bad that he did not mention it right away given the wide variety of shields he can make with his quirk depending on the word he uses.
"We appreciate you being upfront about what you feel your limits are, so no need to feel bad about hesitating to speak up. I can blind the enemy momentarily so put me down for escape, since most people rely mainly on their vision." Hagakure said raising her hand, her ability to easily read the emotions of and empathy with those around shown yet again to the class since she joined them.
With that, the list was essentially done as no one else felt they significantly fell into either category. But even so, they had enough to make five teams with both good defense and escape options. "All right so now that we have the two most important roles organized, let's start making the teams. We can do three teams of four and two times of five." Kendo told them, as everyone took a close look at the board.

"All right everyone, let's discuss who wants to team up with who. Then we can discuss optimal pairings." Monoma said confidently, knowing they had a secret weapon in Midoriya to give them all expert analysis of their quirks.
"If possible, I would like to not be teamed up with that perverted sinner. Knowing her she would detach her hands mid-fight to fondle me." Ibara said after she raised her hand to get everyone's attention.
"Hey!" Setsuna exclaimed, with no one expecting her to stay quiet at the accusation. Even if most of them unilaterally thought she deserved it after her breast attack on Midoriya and the incident with Komori during rescue training. "I take partial offense to that, if only because that I may actually pull up your shirt to flash an enemy to distract them." She then continued making almost everyone there fall out of their seats at the quick admittance to being guilty of considering such a tactic.
"TOKAGE!" Everyone except for the few quiet people in the class exclaimed, lucky for the dino loving lizard girl Kendo quickly spoke up.
"And you are now no longer allowed to be on a team with Midoriya or any of the girls unless we have no choice but to do so." Kendo said in a dull yet serious tone, making it clear she was done trying to scold Setsuna for her behavior.
"We should also not put Kamakiri in a team with her due to his swearing constantly distracting her. Kuroiro should also not be put on any teams with the girls since he seems to freeze up or at best go silent when talking with them." Monoma pointed out, making the student he last mentioned embarrassed but not denying what he pointed out.
