SEVERAL DAYS LATER:
The gang continue their attacks on David Eric's men, to the point he himself gets involved. But ovverwhelmed he had to flee. But he runs himself a dead end. We finally see what David looks like, he's an average enough guy, not much different than Jimmy P, just a bit more handsome. Not someone who stands out in a crowd, except for his, voice, very booming and commanding of leadership.. Like I said, if I could, I would ask Benjamin David to play him, same guy who voices Dutch from RDR.
David looks down at the cliff below him, knowing this was it. He had nowhere to go as he felt one of them approach him, gun raised.
"This is it David, no more running, you got nowhere to go." came Michael Townley's voice. He's still wearing his blue suit. He didn't know David, so this wasn't personal, simply tying up loose ends.
David sighs, still facing away from his aggressor. "You must be the leader. Michael is it?"
"That's right." Michael said, voice calm but firm.
"This wasn't personal. The Dash girl, she killed my son, I didn't like him either quite frankly, but I had to act. It was the principle of it.. I'm sorry for dragging you in, but I couldn't affort loose ends Michael. There's no way you weren't gonna find out." David told him.
"I get it, I do. But this is how it ends man." Michael said, voice unwaving.
"Yeah.. Suppose it is." David said, with a deep inhale he finally turns around, but refusing to go down easy, he abrubtly starts shooting his gun, striking a surprised Michael square in the arm. But Michael ignores the pain and immediately fires back, hitting David clean in the head.
In a flash it was over, ending just as quickly as it began. Both shots were simultaneously to each other, and within seconds it ends with David's lifeless body falling off the cliff. Disappearing below. His reign ending with him.
A few hours later, we join everyone as they are in the hospital. Espically Dash Lucia, who in the lastest conflict with Dave's remaining men, ended up having near death expirence, and in the void, she saw the ghost of Kate McCreary, the only one who was ever able to get though to her. And even as ghost, she still did.
Cause when Dash awakens, something in her was different. More vulunable. One of the firsts she did was mistake Pinkie Lancer for Kate. Both were redheads, so it wasn't even a huge leap.
"What? No, it's me," said a confused Pinkie, the only one with no bandages, cause she wasn't in any of the battles. She's not a fighter, had no combat expirence. So instead she was simply the radio voice. The team hacker.
Dash blinked, her thoughts tangled and confused. "I thought you… It's nothing." she said quitely.
"Who's Kate?" Seras questioned, her brow furrowing in curiosity.
Packie McCreary, who was in the room, stayed silent, his face reflecting discomfort at the reminder of his ost baby sister. He didn't like talking about any more than Dash did. And Dash was simply Kate's friend.
Sally, acutely aware of how delicate the subject was, spoke gently. "She was someone from Dash's past. She doesn't talk about it."
Seras paused, but quitely put together what this truly meant, why she would never talk about Kate. "Ohhh…" Seras said softly.
Attempting to lighten the mood, Sally handed Dash a can of beer. "Anyway, here's your medicine, sis. I know it's not strong enough, but they don't have whiskey here."
Dash raised an eyebrow, slightly taken aback. "I—yeah, um… do you have any water?"
A heavy silence enveloped the room as everyone exchanged surprised glances, including Trevor, the resident wild card of the group. Even he found this odd.
"Are we sure she's okay?" Trevor asked, guninely concerned. A pleasent reminder of Trevor's good traits.
Trying to suppress a smile, Dash found herself laughing, the camaraderie ebbing some of the heavy sorrow weighing on her heart. "I, uh… It's been a long day." Her tone softened, her vulnerability finally surfacing. "I just need to... get my head straight."
"No, no, it might be a little late for that. But at least it's happening. Yes, I'll get you some water." Carly strode toward the door with determination.
"Yeah, we're here for you Dashie." Niko said, patting his wife.
"While we're on the subject... I think I'm addicted to pot." Sally said worriedly.
"Don't be ridiculous." Trevor said, less concerned.
"You know, Mikey, with David dead, that leaves a spot open—you could be the next kingpin," Packie insisted, as Michael is patching up his shoulder.
Michael paused, contemplating it. "No," he said firmly, shaking his head.
"What?!" Packie exclaimed, incredulous.
"This was fun and all, but it was my last job," Michael replied, his tone serious. "I promised the Seras girl that I'd go clean. Besides, I didn't even miss it. I have better things now." He and he throws on "Richard's Productions" hat, affirming his commitment to his new path as a co-producer.
"Come on, Sal, let's go make Meltdown 2."
"Okay, but I'm not wearing the monkey suit again!" Sally chimed, running to keep pace with him.
The confrontation between Mike and Dave is based on the scene in Prisoners when Jake Gyllenhaal's character has a stand off with the evil old lady.. I always liked how abrupt it was, something that ends just as quickly as it begins..
Also David does feel like the type who would have "villainous valour" like that.. You can't help but admire it..
