The winter sun sat high in the sky, casting a bright glow over the snow-covered fields. Keith and Lance arrived at the toboggan park with Sophia in tow. The trio was meeting up with everyone at the park to do some sledding today. The sound of laughter and the crunch of snow filled the air as everyone prepared for an afternoon of sledding.

By the time they arrived, Shiro, Curtis, and Shen were already in the parking lot. As was Hunk, Ireena, Oman. Matt and Pidge arrived shortly after and were helping Evelina out of the car, the little girl sticking to her aunt's side as Matt grabbed stuff from the car. Shay and Nyma were absent today since they were having a mom's day out with each other, so that left Hunk in charge of Ireena and Oman and Matt in charge of Evelina.

The park was a popular one, the playground was newer than the other playgrounds in the city. But what made it really popular was the large hill in the park. The large hill made for a popular spot for people to go tubing and tobogganing down in the winter time. There was a smaller hill in the park that was more suited to the younger children or beginners while the older children and adults used the larger hill.

"Looks like we're all here," Lance said as he walked up with Keith and Sophia, the little girl dragging her sled behind her as she walked with her parents.

"Looks like it," Shiro replied as Curtis was getting Shen's sled out of the back of the car.

"Well who's ready to have some fun?" Matt asked with an excited smile, which brought out excited cheers from all five children.

"Ready princess?" Lance asked with a smile as he positioned the sled, holding it so Sophia could climb on it.

Sophia, was now a little nervous that she was up at the top of the small hill. Keith, Shiro, and Pidge were at the bottom of the hill while Lance, Hunk, Curtis, and Matt were at the top with the kids to help them with getting on the sleds.

"Hey, look at me," Lance said gently, kneeling down beside Sophia. "Daddy is down there, if anything happens, he'll be right there okay?"

"You promise?" Sophia asked gently.

"I promise princess," Lance replied with a confident nod. "You know daddy would never let anything happen to you, right?" Sophia nodded softly and seemed to calm down with her father's reassurance. "That's my brave girl. Now, you ready?"

Sophia nodded softly and Lance helped her climb onto the sled, making sure she was sitting properly before handing her the rope of the sled.

"Now hold on tight and don't let go okay?" Lance said gently. "Daddy's at the bottom and he'll be there to catch you okay?"

"Okay papa," Sophia replied softly as she gripped onto the rope of the sled in her small hands tightly.

A few minutes later, Shen, Ireena, Oman, and Evelina were positioned on their own sleds. Each child preparing to go down the hill and to win the race of who got to the bottom first.

"Everyone ready?" Curtis called out with a smile.

"Ready!" all the children replied in unison.

"Alright, race starts on three," Curtis announced.

"Three," Hunk said as he stepped back from the twins.

"Two," Matt said as he and Curtis stepped back.

"One," Lance said as he stepped back from Sophia.

"Go!" the adults called out in unison.

All at once, all five children pushed forward and started sliding down the hill in their sleds. As they slid down the hill, the adults were cheering their children on.

At first it was Shen in the lead and then it switched to Oman in the lead, and then finally Ireena being in the lead. She was in the lead for a while before Evelina started to match her speed and she started taking the lead.

"Go Eve!" Matt called out in excitement from the top of the hill.

Evelina seemed to be certain of being the winner before Sophia seemed to be overtaking her at the last second. By the time the children reached the bottom of the hill where Keith, Pidge, and Shiro were waiting at the bottom, Sophia ended up being the one to beat the other four to the bottom.

"That's my girl!" Lance yelled out in triumph.

"Daddy I won!" Sophia called out excitedly as she got off her sled and ran over to Keith.

"You did princess, I'm proud of you for going down that hill like a big girl," Keith said gently as he knelt down in front of her. "Was it fun?"

"Mhm!" Sophia replied happily. "Can I go again?"

"You can go as many times as you want princess," Keith replied as he adjusted her hat on her head.

"Yay!" Sophia exclaimed happily as she grabbed the rope of her sled and started heading back to the top, the other four children following after her. Even though they hadn't won the race, they still had fun.

By the time the families were done and were heading home, Sophia was yawning as Keith carried her in his arms as they walked back to the car.

Keith looked down at Sophia, who was snuggled in his arms as he carried her. "Did you have fun?" he asked gently.

"The best," she murmured sleepily. Keith turned his head softly and exchanged a smile with Lance, who draped an arm around his shoulder.

Snow days, they both agreed, were the perfect way to make memories.
