We're back on chapter twenty-nine. And it is the final battle.
REMINDER: I DO NOT OWN LEGEND OF KORRA OR ANY OF THE CHARACTERS.
At the Republic City skyline, the sky illuminated by spirit lights. Police airships and United Forces battleships were deployed to protect the mainland.
Air Temple Island, on the balcony where Pema and her four younger children were standing.
"Ooooh... Pretty." Ikki said.
"I hope they stopped Korra." Jinora said.
In the battleship, where Iroh stare at the sky.
"Are the ships in position?" he asked a soldier.
"Yes, General Iroh. But I need to know what kind of enemy we're dealing with." the soldier said.
Then, they all saw something flying in the sky. It looked like the Witch-Avatar, but it was only the Shadow Witch herself, cackling wickedly.
"It's time to snuff out the good!" Jaakuna proclaimed.
Jaakuna begins to fly toward the mainland. In Iroh's battleship, where he watches her approach them.
"Fire!"
United Forces firebenders attacked the Shadow Witch with large fire blasts, but she conjured a forcefield, unharmed. She retaliates her magic to create a wall to stop the blasts, before sending the wave toward the battleships, scattering them.
"Ooh, modern days are much good to destroy." Jaakuna said.
She subsequently glides up to Avatar Aang Memorial Island.
On Air Temple Island, Meelo was scared.
"That's not Korra." he said.
"That must be the Shadow Witch Unalaq talked about." Jinora said. "I have to go and stop this."
Jinora meditates to do something to help stop Jaakuna.
Jaakuna blast her magic at the water to cause a wave to wash the ships away.
"I'm a foul one"
"I'm the Shadow Witch"
"I'm a nasty old beldam"
"My heart's full of evilness"
"And that's how I am"
"I'm the Shadow Witch"
Jaakuna stare at the people who were scared of her.
"If I kill children's parents"
"I don't"
"Really give a DAAAAAAAAAMMN!"
"I'm back, world!" Jaakuna shouted to the entire world. "Yeah!"
"I'm the meanest wicked one"
"Ain't you glad you'd finally see one?"
"I'm the Shadow WIIIIIIIIITCH!"
Jaakuna spins around in her broomstick in enjoyment of pure evil. She stands on her broom and zaps the city.
At the Spirit Portal, Korra felt guilt while being trapped in the tree. The rest of Team Avatar ran up to Korra, after they defeated the soldiers.
"Korra, where are you?" Mako called out.
"In here." Korra said with a sad voice.
The team ran to the tree and see Korra trapped.
"What happened?" Unalaq asked.
"Jaakuna trapped me." Korra said dejectedly.
"Can you undo this spell around the tree?" Varrick asked.
"I couldn't. I've tried." Korra said. "What difference does it take?"
"But you can't let Jaakuna win." Asami said.
"She already has." Korra said.
"So, y-you're giving up? That's it?" Bumi asked.
"You cannot give up, Cousin Korra." Desna said.
"You're the Avatar." Eska said. "You never give up."
"Well, that's changed."
"No. I am too young to live through chaos with our evil ancestors. Korra, can't you talk to one of your past lives or something?"
"What's the point? They wouldn't talk to me after what I did being the Witch-Avatar." Korra said before her tears were down to her cheeks. "I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry."
Korra started crying for all the wicked deeds she had done. Unalaq was guilty for what he did to try to become a Dark Avatar with Vaatu.
"No, Korra. I am sorry." Unalaq said with a tear.
Back to Republic City, where multiple planes fly by the Shadow Witch before she used magic to morph a giant hand, and catch a plane.
"There goes nothing!" Jaakuna shouted.
The pilot manages to eject before the plane was pulled down and slammed onto the water surface where was explodes.
"Wow." Jaakuna said dramatic.
In the ship, Iroh II watches as Jaakuna wreaks havoc on the city.
"She's going to destroy the entire city." he said worriedly.
The Shadow Witch shoots out an energy beam at the airships, destroying the tail propellers. The airships began spinning and hurtling toward nearby buildings. She shoots out vines which engulf the harbour and many Republic City landmarks.
"Whoa, I did not know I can do that." Jaakuna said. "New skill's a killer."
She used her power to stretch toward the water as she controls the vines that were overtaking the city.
"When I get the old band back together, we're gonna burn these nations to burning wastelands."
Back in the Tree of Time, Korra sat there, crossing her legs. Team Avatar sat down in sadness, admitting that the Shadow Witch had won.
Little did Korra knew, Aang appeared to her, knowing how depressed she was.
"So, you're giving up?"
"Do I have a choice?" Korra asked.
"You know, not all Korras give up in the Multiverse. They try hard, and try again." Korra said.
"I don't know about the other Korras or whatever you're talking about, but let's face it. It's all my fault." Korra said.
"No, it's not." Wan appeared to her. "Korra, you're a part of a cycle of the Multiverse. You can still believe in yourself."
"Oh, sure. How can I? I let my uncle tricked me so he could copy you when you fused with Raava, I let that spirit of a spellbook manipulate me, I've cursed the Republic in a plague, I let my cloud of judgment ruin my friendship with Asami and Bolin, and my relationship with Mako.
Hell, I even set my witch ancestor free to destroy the world! I'm the worst Avatar ever! How can I stop her as she was too powerful to me?!"
"Because she's not like me." a female voice was heard in Korra's head.
"Raava?" Korra heard it.
"Try again."
Emerged from Korra's body was a dark grey spirit with purple patterns. Raavaatu, Spirit of Twilight and Balance.
"You are the Avatar of the Vysm Universe." she said. "You are a part of a great Multiverse."
"But because of me, Jaakuna's gonna destroy it." Korra said.
"But you did a good think. You've restored me, as all Korras restored Raavaatus in all the Multiverse." Raavaatu said. "You can connect yourself to all your counterparts."
"Let go of your attachment to who you think you are, and connect with your inner spirit." Aang said.
"But I…" Korra said about to say.
"We are not who you are." Wan said. "Use it. Use your inner spirit, Korra."
"Do as the ancients once did. Connect to the cosmic energy of the Multiverse." Raavaatu said. "Or else with Jaakuna bringing darkness to our universe, the three devil Witches and their counterparts shall bring their evil to all of the cosmic existence."
"Jaakuna's some disciple to those Witches?" Korra asked.
"Actually, uh, she and her coven would rival the Witches, but that's not the point, kiddo." Raavaatu said. "If you believe in yourself, look inside."
Korra looked at the Great Spirit with determine.
"I'll do it." she said.
"We believe in you." Raavaatu said.
"All Avatars, Raavaatus and Korras are with you all the way." Wan said.
Korra seated in a meditative position with Raavaatu, Wan and Aang enters her body.
"Bring twilight to the Multiverse."
Korra was standing on astral lights. She opens her eyes and turns, seeing a large projection of herself, holding a ball of light, similar to Aang. Korra looks on with determination and walks toward the ball of light.
As she enters it, also entering the Avatar State. Then she blasted her magic to the forcefield to undo her spell on the Tree.
Team Avatar was surprised in joy for Korra. Then she hopped on her broomstick and flew back to Republic City to stop Jaakuna.
Back at Republic City, Jaakuna was about to throw her fireball at the city to destroy it. then she saw something at the sky. It was Korra speeding to her ancestor, and punched her down, but she remained on her broom.
Ikki and Meelo were glad to see Korra back.
"Korra's back!" Ikki said.
"And she's not evil anymore." Meelo said.
"Thank God." Pema
"I'm back." Korra said.
"How… How did you get out of that tree?" Jaakuna was shocked.
"I'm the Witch-Avatar of the Vysm Universe. The master of four elements and magic." Korra said. "I'm connected to the spiritual cosmic existence."
"Oh, yeah? Well, don't think too much, descendant. I will destroy Raavaatu, and those so-called Witches of Unlimited Doom… I have something for them."
Jaakuna conjured a mistletoe.
"Mistletoe. They'll pucker up and, KISS it!" Jaakuna placed the mistletoe on her behind and flicks it to mock the Witches. "Boinininininining!"
Korra blasted air to blow Jaakuna away, but the witch was still in balance.
"I wasn't ready!" Jaakuna complained.
Jaakuna blasted green lightning from her eyes to attack Korra, but the Witch-Avatar blocks it.
Shiro was glad Korra was not evil anymore.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the Witch-Avatar has returned to the good side to defeat this evil witch." he said. "Thank the Lord our Avatar is back."
The people cheered for Korra for returning to the good.
"See? They still know I'm still a hero." Korra said. "And you're the real villain."
Korra threw her magic balls at Jaakuna, but she grabbed them and threw them back at Korra, but she dodged.
Both witches fire out their respective magic beams from their hands, but Korra focuses her beams to overpower Jaakuna's, eventually knocking her back. Korra flies forward, but the Shadow-Witch shoots out green energy tendrils toward her, which she catches and uses to immobilize and grab her before slamming him toward a nearby mountain.
She quickly flew back up and zaps Korra.
"You're nothing. A reckless child is no match for the power of the shadows." Jaakuna said before she ensnares Korra with her magical tendrils. "We could have been a family, and you spurned me like an outcast."
The Shadow Witch fires a close range energy beam at Korra, knocking her unconscious.
Back at the Spirit World, where a swarm of dark spirits approach the Tree of Time.
"They're coming for us!" Asami said.
"Asami, Varrick, Zhu Li, Bumi, take shelter in the tree." Unalaq said. "We'll handle them."
"Got ya." Varrick said before he and the other nonbenders hides.
Mako shoots out lightning toward the spirits, and Unalaq attacks with waterbending. their attack was followed by Tenzin, Kya, Eska, Desna and Bolin, who attack the spirits with their respective bending elements.
Back at Republic City, Korra stumbles from the attack, but Jaakuna fires another magic beam at her, knocking her unconscious. Jaakuna used her magic to trap Korra in a mass of shadows.
Back at the Spirit World, Team Avatar was forced to retreat to near the Tree of Time. Bolin attacks the spirits with earthbending, but a spirit drags him away, though before it could attack, the entity was destroyed by a water stream. Near the portal, where Desna and Eska attack the dark spirits.
"Leave my Bolin alone!" Eska warned.
"I am so done with spirits." Desna said.
Bolin slide toward Eska. "Eska! I love you!" He kisses Eska and bends a rock. "Let's face the end of the world together!"
"You're so romantic."
The trio attack the spirits.
Back at Republic City, Jaakuna was still trapping Korra in the shadowy mass.
"With you outta the way, kiddo, I and the rest of the Coven are gonna blow the entire world."
Then, a ball of light descends from the sky.
Ikki looked through a telescope, and she notices Past Jinora in the light.
"Mommy, it's Jinora. She's... beautiful." Past Ikki said.
"What? Let me see." Pema takes the telescope, gasps in surprise. "Be careful, sweetie!"
Jinora descends toward the mass, holding with her a small ball of light. She opens her palms, releasing the light, which illuminates Republic City. The Shadow Witch, who was shielding her eyes from the glare of the light. As she recovered from the glare, she saw something different about Korra.
"Wha…"
Korra's eyes were glowing purple as she entered the Avatar State, and her powers were evolving.
"Oh, that means you're evolving, are you? Ooh!"
Korra blasted purple powerful magic at Jaakuna. The bright light dissolved the Shadow Witch's body, exploding her into the sky in a golden light.
The people cheered for Korra's heroic deed to defeat Jaakuna.
"Harmonic Convergence is nearly over. We must return to the Spirit World." Raavaatu said before Korra nodded.
Korra used her magic to teleport back to the Spirit World.
Back to the Tree of Time, where everyone was forced to retreat into the hollow. The spirits soon swarm the hollow, darkening the interior. But the spirit portals, where a beam of light descends from the center, illuminating the Tree of Time and dissipating the dark spirits.
"She did it." Unalaq said.
Korra appeared, subsequently soars to the overlapping portals. Korra reaches out for the portal, which releases yellow bolts of energies from the overlapping portals.
As Harmonic Convergence passes, the portals separate again. The spirit lights retreat. The portals now stranded upright, and Korra, who glows violet with a pinkish purple combined imprint of Raavaatu on her chest, before descending.
She descends back to the ground, using an air spout to slow her fall. She opens her eyes, which glow momentarily before fading.
Korra's appearance was different. Her skin was back to normal, and she now wears a white hat and robe.
"It's over."
Mako, Bolin, Asami, Varrick, Zhu Li, and Tenzin run up to Korra. Mako hugs and kisses her.
"I don't even know what to say." Mako said.
"You were amazing." Asami said.
"And the way you turned all gigantic like that, wow!" Bolin said excitedly. "Varrick, you should have filmed it! It would be the greatest mover ever. After the Nuktuk chronicles, of course."
"Great idea. There would be a sequel or a prequal of it." Varrick said.
Unalaq walked to Korra and hugged her.
"I'm really sorry I put you through all this."
"That's all right, Uncle." Korra said. "There could never be two Avatars, just one."
Bolin walked to Eska.
"So, I was thinking. I'm not really a fan of a long-distance relationship thing, so how about you move to Republic City with me." Bolin said.
"I do not think it will be possible." Eska said.
Bolin was somewhat disappointed. "Okay. Desna can come, too."
"I will not be joining you, Bolin. Desna and I must return home." Eska said.
"But you said..."
"Eternal darkness was upon us. I became caught up in the moment."
"Yeah. I guess I did too." Bolin said sadly.
Eska walks toward Bolin. "But, you will always hold the special place in the organ that pumps my blood. I will remember you fondly." She places her right hand to her heart, while smiling. "My turtle duck."
Bumi hears a chitter of a dragonfly bunny spirit from a distance. He turns to see a blue-coloured dragonfly bunny spirit, Bum-Ju.
"Bum-Ju, you're okay." Bumi hugs Bum-Ju. "I missed you, little buddy."
Bum-Ju snuggles against Bumi.
The battle has won!
Chapter thirty will be coming soon.
