Wrote this as a tribute tyo Juubi no Shinju's own work called Last Son where Naruto is meant to be Superman.

I asked if he wanted to collab on it-he accepted idea's, but is writing mostly off shows/comics that have made a decent variation of the Superman Timeline so I will not be bothering him about it.

I took the time to watch the Ultimate version of Dawn of Justice and based this off the battle that occurred (in truth this was written a while back) and I found it once more and talked to Juubi about it, he won't be using Dawn of Justice for the story, so I decided to honor his wishes. Wrote this one for him as a tribute to a friend (which Juubi is indeed a good friend)

Now, quick note-this is pretty much the Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman vs Doomsday fight from the movie, you don't like it, don't read it.

Batman had defeated the so called indestructible 'Man of Steel', the so called 'Superman' with his own hands. The alien lay pinned beneath his boot, a spear of pure glowing green Xnomorphic rock made from the same material as the fallen alien's planet from when Zod tried to destroy Earth.

He looked down, watching the alien writhe in agony from being exposed to the pure Kryptonite spear, "You were never a God." he told the alien as he pressed a boot down on his neck, "You were never even a man." he stated while breathing raggedly. And then, he dragged the spear across the alien's face, cutting through his skin.

He was mortal now.

Nathan was breathing deeply, gasping desperately, ignoring how Bruce raised the spear to kill him, "You're letting him kill Martha." he said desperately.

Martha?

Why would he say the name of his mother?

She was dead?

Bruce felt himself pause in confusion, "What does that mean?" he asked the alien, "Why did you say that name?" he demanded.

Rather than give him the answer he sought, the alien strained to continue to plead with him, "Find him." he begged, "Save Martha." he told the batman.

The memory of his mother, so kind... so beautiful... it ran through his mind, the memory of her and his father dying before his very eyes. Bruce felt himself shaking, "Why did you say that name?!" Bruce roared out angrily, "Martha! Why did you say that name?!" he demanded in rage.

The sound of rushed footsteps filled the halls before a young woman Bruce recognized as Lois Lane came in running desperately, "Nathan!" she cried out in horror, "Stop! Please! Stop!" she cried out as she ran over to the roaring Batman.

"Why did you say that name?!" Bruce continued to demand as Lois slid over the ground next to her love as she looked up to Bruce.

"It's his mother's name!" she pleaded in horror, "It's his mother's name." she said with wide eyes.

Bruce felt horror grip him... this alien... he was good after all... he just wished to protect her…

Bruce removed his foot slowly, and then he gave a roar as he hurled the spear away.

Erickson, a reporter, stood before her cameraman, "We're not getting any answers. We're still right outside the containment center. A dangerous situation. Military and police personnel surrounding the area." she announced, sparks of lightning arcing off the alien ship as time passed by.

XxX

Back with Bruce, Nathan and Lois, the alien now stood on his own two feet. Nathan looked at Bruce calmly as he explained what was going on, "Luthor. He wanted your life for hers. She's losing time." he told Bruce.

Lois swallowed some saliva, "The scout ship seems to be drawing power from the city. It's got to be Lex." she said to the two new allies.

Bruce nodded, "They need you at that ship. I'll find her." he promised Nathan

Nathan shook his head, "My mother needs me." he told him.

Bruce stepped to block his path, "Wait." he stated, "I'll make you a promise." he told him, "Martha won't die tonight." he swore.

Nathan nodded his head, this was as good as he was going to get. And, Bruce seemed like he was one to generally keep his promises. He embraced Lois one more time as he stepped away, turned, then flew away towards the alien ship. Bruce left shortly after, climbing into his plane and powering it up and taking off into the air, "Master Wayne." the voice of his loyal butler and friend Alfred spoke into the radio.

"Alfred." Bruce acknowledged.

"Uh, I'm sorry for listening in, but I've tracked the Russian's phone to a warehouse near the port. You're locked onto it." he told him honestly.

Bruce smiled softly, "I don't deserve you, Alfred." he lamented.

Alfred gave a small smirk, "No, sir. You don't." he agreed jokingly. He wasn't going anywhere for a long time though.

XxX

Martha looked at the Russian with the flamethrower in no small amount of fear as he turned towards her, the muzzle blazing with fire, "I'm afraid this is goodbye." he said apologetically, "And every time we say goodbye, you die a little." he told her softly. However, he was brought out of his thoughts when the sound of a jet engine sounded outside, causing him to look towards the sound as he saw the window's glow under the plane's lights.

Bruce turned the plane and locked onto his targets, "Take it down." a gunner yelled as he climbed into the bed of a gun truck, unleashing the salvo of .50 caliber bullets. Bruce however responded in kind, but unleashed an unending wave of bullets that hit the ground and then the trucks as he flew at them, and destroyed them without mercy. This would be the beginning of the end for both sides.

Flying around, Bruce needed to find Martha, but there was no time, "You have to take it, Alfred." Bruce told his friend.

Alfred nodded, "Ah, right." he agreed, pulling out the joysticks, "Commencing drone mode." he said as the plane was given to his authority, "Thermal imaging is showing me two dozen hostiles on the third floor. Why don't I drop you off on the second?" he asked, almost chuckling.

Making the plane hover, a hole was breached in the wall, Bruce jumping through and beginning his march towards Martha. The sounds of intense fighting, screams of pain and agony, gunshots and who knew what else filled the air for fifteen minutes before it all went silent. A man with a machine gun nervously glanced to the door, only for a pair of arms to burst through the wall.

Batman had arrived in just the right time. He held the man by the neck and took his weapon from him, aiming it at the flame Throwing Russian, "Drop it." ordered the Russian, "I said drop it! I'll kill her. Believe me, I'll do it." he told Bruce with a mad gleam in his eyes.

Bruce nodded, "I believe you." he agreed, but then he pulled the trigger once, the bullet striking the back of the canister.

Throwing the hired thug away, he leapt at Martha and pinned her to the ground as the tank exploded. When everything calmed down, Martha was nearly in tears. She was still alive? Thank God, but she would have rather it been Nathan and not a friend of his, "It's okay." he assured her, "I'm a friend of your son's. he told her.

Martha gave a short laugh, "I figured." she said before nodding to his outfit, "The cape." she said.

XxX

Back with Lois, she held the spear of raw Kryptonite, the one weakness she knew for sure could kill her beloved. She walked into a water filled room, a deep pool of water. Without hesitating, she dropped the weapon inside the pool.

The timer he had set went off and Lex hummed, only to smirk when his enemy, the so-called 'God' burst through the ceiling, "'Late, late,' says the White Rabbit." he stated as he grabbed the alarm.

Forty seconds to animation.

"Right, wabbit?" he asked sardonically, "Hmm. Out of tricks, out of time." he said, throwing the timer away before noticing the Kryptonian's empty hands, "And one Bat head short." he noted clearly.

Thirty seconds to animation.

The phone went off drawing their attention, "Ah. That'll be the cook." he said jovially, jumping to it with a sly grin, "Excuse me. Uh, Gotham Roast. Well done." he joked darkly as he picked it up, "Hello. Break the bad news." he said into the telephone happily.

However, the voice that answered was most definitely an associate of his, "I'd rather do the breaking in person." Bruce responded.

Twenty seconds to animation.

Nathan ignored the shocked look on Luthor's face, "You've lost." he told the human.

Luthor snorted in amusement, "I don't know how to lose." he told Superman.

"You'll learn." Nathan responded.

Luthor snorted in amusement, "I'll learn." he retorted as he pointed at Nathan, "I don't hate the sinner. I hate the sin." he told him.

10 seconds to animation.

"And yours, my friend, is existing." he told him honestly. He shook his head, "I cannot let you win." he told Nathan, "I gave the Bat a fighting chance to do it, but he was not strong enough. So, if man won't kill God..." he announced as he turned around as the ship finished counting down, his creation coming to life.

...two, one.

"...the devil will do it!" he declared as the ship shuddered and shook as electricity crackled. Soon, the lights throughout the city were killed, the energy from the grid absorbed to bring Luthor's creation into being as it was injected into the abomination...

And once more gave rise to The Desecration without Name...

XxX

The Daily Planet's lights flickered on and off before fully dying down, "Perry!" Jenny cried out in panic.

Perry snarled as his employee's panicked, "All right. Stay calm, everybody!" he ordered.

XxX

With the Military authorities, they were watching as the television news reporter spoke calmly as he could, "We're getting reports there are total blackouts in the north and to the northwest of the city. Federal authorities are trying to determine if this is part of a larger terrorist attack." he announced.

The army's leaders were in the dark, and they did not know what to do. Was there something they needed to know, to find out? Could they stop the impending destruction if it were to arise?

XxX

Luthor smirked as he watched his creation grow and writhe, "Ancient Kryptonian deformity." he said looking down on the large goo-like pod holding the former general Zod's body, "Hmm. Blood of my blood." he said turning and removing the bandage from his hand to reveal the cut he had made earlier, "Born to destroy you." he told Nathan, the bubble growing, expanding, and releasing a crimson fluid into the amniotic fluids, the unknown creature now awake and hungry for destruction, "Your Doomsday." he sneered as the creature emerged, "Now God is good as dead." he declared.

The now named Doomsday roared, Lex Luthor felt his eyes close, this was it, his dream made reality.

Doomsday snarled, swiping its arm to remove the remaining thick gelatinous goop from its body as it tore itself free from its birthing orb as it roared its heraldry.

Nathan felt himself shaking.

He didn't know if it was from fear or what, but it certainly wasn't excitement of fighting a enemy that might be stronger than he was, and he liked to think himself pretty fucking strong at times. Snarling once more, Doomsday threw a fist out, right at its creator, but this action was stopped by Nathan as he swooped in and grasped the beings arm with his own.

Throwing the beast's arm away, he lashed out with a powerful right hook that caused Doomsday to stumble back with a cry of shock. The monster slammed into a wall, sparks filling the air as it did so. Roaring, it looked at its challenger and reached out and grabbed a hold of the Man of Steel as he tried to push him back, restraining him with both massive hands before it gave a leap and crashed through the roof of the star ship it was reborn from. Once free, it released Naru-To and slammed a fist into his body where the Kryptonian was sent crashing into the monument built in his honor.

Doomsday landed shortly after at the base of the kneeling statue, ignoring the recovering hero nearby momentarily as it gazed at the statue and then turned to face the enemy it had been created to destroy. Helicopters hovered around, the spotlights shining down on them as if announcing the battle to come. Superman grunted as he charged as fast he could, slamming both fists into Doomsday's belly, sending the being tripping back into the statue. However, Doomsday simply snarled back and grabbed the Man of Steel and hurled him into a nearby section of the monument.

With a roar, it tore another piece up from the ground and slammed it down with the ferocity only a Kryptonian could ever wield. With the Man of Steel stunned, Doomsday then grabbed the exposed foot of Superman and pulled him out before throwing him through the statue and away from the park where he crashed into a skyscraper nearby, an explosion filling the air as he ripped through the steel and glass of the structure. With that done, Doomsday snarled as it wheeled around and eyed the helicopter, and then crouched before leaping into the sky-slamming through the helicopter and destroying it in the process.

Soaring through the air, Doomsday then slammed into a tower antenna and landed at the top of the structure, roaring its fury to the world once more.

XxX

"POTUS joining." Captain Farris said urgently to her commanding officer.

"Mr. President." General Swanwick spoke into the phone.

"What the hell is it, Calvin?" the President demanded, using the General's first name to address him.

"These are live images from the top of the Lex-Corp tower in downtown Metropolis. Military aircraft are on the scene." the tv news anchor announced as the view changed to that of the squadron of Apache Helicopters swooping in to try and corner Doomsday so as to destroy the creature.

XxX

Meanwhile, Police had finally arrived where Martha had been held captive and released by the Batman, having rushed out as the police came to her rescue, "Are you hurt, ma'am?"

Martha shook her head, "I'm okay." she assured the man.

The cop nodded, "Good. You're gonna be alright, okay?" the cop assured her as he rushed her into his cruiser. However, as he did this, Batman had taken off in his jet, the thrumming of the engine filling the air as he soared off to fight the next fight.

XxX

Back with the military group, they watched the news feed with trepidation and worry, "This thing emerged from the Kryptonian crash site just moments ago. Thankfully though, the work day is over in the downtown core. It's nearly empty. Now military aircraft. Those are Apache helicopters. They have now just arrived."

Doomsday roared at the helicopters as they set into position. Seconds later they all began firing a salvo of bullets, missiles exploding at the top of the tower as they impacted Doomsday's body, the beast roaring out in rage as it leapt down to avoid another missile. The helicopters re-aimed as they watched Doomsday grab a section of debris and hurled it at one of the helicopters, an explosion ripping through the air as Doomsday once more roared, only for another missile to impact against its body. Crouching down, more and more missiles exploded but caused no damage, Doomsday roared out as the energy it had stored inside its body reached its peak and exploded violently from within.

The following shockwave was nothing short of amazing.

Lightning filled the sky as it swept over everything in sight. However, this also destroyed not just the Apache helicopters but the news broadcasting stations own helicopters as it did so. The anchor was a bit stunned by this as he stuttered, "The images that... We've, uh... We just lost connection with Metropolis 8 News. Now, it's not clear what just happened." he said, trying to remain calm as he did his job.

XxX

"What's happening there, Alfred?" Bruce asked as he flew over the sea towards Metropolis to try and hold off Doomsday and aid Superman in saving their home before they put Lex Luthor behind Bars for the remainder of his days.

"How best to describe it?" Alfred questioned in worry and confusion. He didn't even know where to begin.

XxX

On the ruined skyscraper, Doomsday roared in fury, daring any and all to give him challenge, to give him a fight that would give him greater strength than before. His challenge was met as Nathan slammed into Doomsday and sped at Mach speeds towards the upper atmosphere. The military, having endeavored to track the monstrosity, watched with wide eyes, "Sir. Look, they've cleared the city!" Farris said in shock.

"Looks like he's taking it into space." Swanwick observed.

"We can go straight to Key Red, Mr. President," said the secretary of defense.

"Not yet. Are you crazy?" Swanwick demanded.

"They're high enough that we can nuke 'em with no casualties, sir." the man pleaded.

"One casualty, Mr. President." Swanwick stated, "Superman." he pleaded.

The President sighed in disbelief, "God have mercy on us all." he whispered, his consent given.

XxX

At a missile silo in a classified location, the alarms sounded and men raced through a closing door and clamored into their seats and fished out a pair of keys and set them into their slots, "Key is hot." the man on the left called.

"Key is hot." his partner reciprocated as they nodded to their partner.

"Red birds are armed to deploy, sir." the chairman of joint chiefs said in defeat as Farris gasped, praying for a miracle that would allow them to come through this event unharmed.

"Fire at will." the President ordered.

"Three, two, one..." the men announced as they turned their keys as one, unleashing their most lethal weapon.

XxX

In space, Doomsday and Nathan duked it out, the Kryptonian being smashed away by the abomination.

Stopping momentarily, the Man of Steel turned and felt his eyes widen as he saw the incoming Missile and lunged back towards his adversary. Multiple strikes were unleashed, shoving Doomsday further and further away from his home, but the damage was nothing to Doomsday as it quickly recovered from the cruel punishment of the worlds strongest hero ever born. Slamming into Doomsday, Nathan gripped his enemy in a choke hold hard as he could, distracting Doomsday long enough for the missile to close in and explode against Doomsday.

Doomsday roared as the ICBM exploded, illuminating the dark half of the world in blinding gold light.

Batman soared under a bridge and felt his heart skip a beat as he watched the explosion from safety, "Oh, God." he whispered in shock.

Across the city, the glow from the explosion drew the eyes of all who could hope to see it, and as they watched the night burn, something fell from the heavens, ignored for the most part, before it crashed down.

XxX

"Projectile 1, Impact." Farris called, "Stryker's Island, east of Metropolis." she stated, somewhat nervous.

"That's uninhabited." Swanwick said.

"Projectile 2..." Farris swallowed before the image faded, "No apparent reentry." she said solemnly.

"Projectile 2?" the president asked.

"Superman, Mr. President. Projectile 2 was Superman." Swanwick responded.

Before the President could ask anything else, the chairman interrupted him, "Sir. It's moving." he said, pointing to the monitor.

XxX

On the ground where Doomsday had crash landed, the monstrosity was grunting and groaning, its body visibly straining and expanding as the power within once more expanded and grew.

Protrusions of bone grew out of its body before its eyes began to glow followed by the back of the throat. Lightning sparked across its body as Doomsday snarled once more, then roared towards the heavens. A shockwave of electricity exploded outwards as the beast unleashed a golden-red beam of energy from its mouth and eyes that soared past the clouds and into space.

The blast from Doomsday was so great, in fact, that the sheer magnitude could be seen from where Superman floated unconscious, his body weak and haggard from the sheer devastation of the Kryptonite and then taking the sheer trauma of a nuclear missile.

XxX

Swanwick sighed in resignation, "The shockwave's are getting stronger. Every time we hit it, we make it more powerful. We can't attack." he announced somberly.

"What are you saying, Calvin?" the president demanded.

"I'm saying it's unkillable." he clarified.

XxX

Bruce flew around Stryker Island, the destruction almost unheard of. As he crested a hill, he took notice of the monster as it turned its gaze upon him, its face glowing once more. A blast of light and Bruce grunted as he evaded the attack and soared behind a hill, Doomsday's eyes tracking and releasing a nigh endless beam of energy that ripped the land apart and forced Bruce to flee across the water for a bit.

Through the radiation, Alfred tried to keep in contact with his employer, "Master Wayne, are you receiving me?" he asked as the mans image glitched on his screen.

Bruce released a deep breath, "Alfred. It's Kryptonian." he informed him, "Only a Kryptonite weapon can kill it." he stated with slight panic.

"They might. If you had any left." Alfred stated, somewhat stumped. Didn't Bruce use them all on Nathan in their fight?

Bruce did give him some relief when he responded, "I got one round left." he told his butler before a light turned on in his head, "The spear. Alfred, the spear. It's pure Kryptonite. It's back in Gotham. If I can penetrate the skin, the spear will kill it." he said with wide eyes.

"It would in theory." Alfred agreed.

"I've gotta get it to chase me back to the city. Back to the Kryptonite." he said as he turned back. Once he located Doomsday, he unloaded every human weapon he could and watched as it struck Doomsday, the monstrosity roaring out at the new challenger before it leapt into the air to give chase as Bruce flew back towards the Kryptonite spear to try and kill this monster.

XxX

Back in space, Nathan Kent floated. The rays of the sun slowly peeked over the edge of the earth where the solar energy rapidly healed his weakened body, strengthening it, empowering him beyond anything. His wounds quickly vanished and left no marks, and then-red eyes snapped open brimming with power.

XxX

Back down below, Doomsday shot beam after beam at Batman, missing each shot, his attacks striking the ground around beneath and ripping everything apart. Soaring around a building, Batman grunted as the energy sliced through his vehicle and sent him crashing down to the ground where the wings crumbled away and he finally rolled to a stop as Doomsday landed nearby. Trying to free himself, Bruce looked up and saw Doomsday standing above him, face once more glowing and felt his heart sink, "Oh, shit." he whispered to himself as Doomsday attacked.

However, this attack was thwarted when a woman leapt down and deflected the energy with a glowing pair of grieves. She wore a very revealing outfit, which if he continued to stare, would distract him from the fight. The woman suddenly snarled, drawing her arms back and channeling energy through her body where it filled the bracers with power as she struck them together and released a powerful shockwave that shoved Doomsday away from their position.

Thunder sounded from above within the growing thunderclouds, along with a familiar booming of the sound barrier snapping apart multiple times where the woman and Bruce both turned to watch as Superman soared down.

Suddenly, Doomsday roared out and flew through the air and the nearby factories exploded, the light of the fire illuminating Superman's floating figure amongst the flames. Like a chain reaction, more and more sections exploded as the factory was utterly destroyed.

Nearby, Lois felt a light click in her head as well. She quickly stopped and turned to where she left the spear and raced back for it. Maybe this would kill the monster as well. Wonder Woman turned to Batman with a look of confusion, "Why did you bring him back to the city?" she asked him, unsure if this was a wise idea.

Batman climbed out and loaded the pistol that could launch the Kryptonite weapon, "The port is abandoned. There's a weapon here that can kill it." he told her. Meanwhile, Lois arrived at the pool of water, threw off her jacket and waded in, searching for the spear. However the water was too deep and she couldn't see the glowing spear anywhere.

Superman landed nearby and asked, "Did you find the spear?"

Batman snorted, "I've been a little busy." he responded.

"This thing, this creature, seems to feed on energy." Wonder Woman remarked as she gazed at the fire from the factory's destruction.

Superman sighed, "This thing is from another world." he announced, "My world." he clarified, trying to make sure she knew this wouldn't be an ordinary opponent.

Diana snorted, "I've killed things from other worlds before." she responded.

Superman looked to Bruce, "Is she with you?" he asked.

Batman shook his head, "I thought she was with you." he remarked.

And thus, the birth of what the world would one day call 'The Trinity' was born, the union of the three greatest heroes of earth uniting against an enemy beyond comprehension that would one day birth the greatest gathering of heroes ever seen.

Doomsday's roars intensified, its power once more reaching a zenith, lightning blasting outwards from its body, chunks of debris rising into the air, and a roar so powerful that the next shockwave it released physically ripped the earth apart, forcing Diana and Nathan to cover their faces and forced Bruce to duck for cover lest he be killed by the monster before them, which he did not want to do anytime soon.

Buildings were literally ripped apart like paper, and blown away as if they were dust in a current of wind. Lois cried out and leapt into the deep pool as the building collapsed above her, barely surviving the destruction but dooming herself to potentially drowning as a large chunk of the building landed over the opening. Once the energy died down, Diana lowered her shield and Nathan his arms as they gazed upon their enemy, the creature once more roaring in challenge. Diana, seeing this, gave a bellow of her own and leapt at Doomsday, Superman following right after.

Doomsday snarled and leapt at them in return, ripping through a collapsed building and stomping on the ground, sending the debris at Diana and Nathan. Diana landed at Doomsday's feet, missing her attempt to cut off a leg, but as Nathan soared by, his actions distracted Doomsday. This allowed Diana to slip behind the monster and strike the back of its leg, Nathan physically slamming down with everything he had in him, the shockwave lashing out, shaking the earth. Diana followed up with a yell as she leapt down at Doomsday, but stabbed the ground as the beast rolled out of the way.

Back on its feet once again, it slammed a fist into Superman, but left itself open as Diana sliced the back of its leg open, forcing it to its knees with a cry of pain. Grabbing a nearby car, it launched it at the Woman of Wonder, but the beauty simply sliced it into two with her sword. Nathan tried to slam a fist into Doomsday's face, but missed, allowing the animal to reach out and grab a hold of him where Doomsday spun around and flung him away. Landing in a roll, Nathan had no chance to recover as Doomsday appeared and slammed its foot into Nathan and sent him flying.

So, this is what it felt like to have his ass kicked?

Bruce rose up and took the sight of the battle between the three godly beings in. Diana snarled as she unleashed another shockwave from her bracers, only to bring her shield up and block a blast of heat vision where she was sent skidding back and crashed into a wall. Undeterred, Diana smirked and leapt back into the fray.

Back with Lois, the woman struggled to find a way to escape, to find air, anything to survive, and her breath was running low by now. There were plenty of cracks that let in light, but none of them were big enough to let her squeeze through.

She was getting desperate. With no other option, she began beating on the bottom of the rubble, hoping Nathan would hear her and come rescue her. Back in the fight, Nathan soared in, and unleashed a beam of his Heat Vision at Doomsday, the monstrosity mimicking the man's own with a full on roar. Their combined might held against one another, evenly matched.

Nathan, cried out-trying to overpower his enemies own, but Doomsday simply snarled and unleashed a greater force and struck him instead, launching him away where he was then buried under a wall.

Bursting out, he went to charge in, but his hearing caught the sound of Lois beating on the debris. Her pounding grew weaker and weaker by the moment as her breath gave out. Seconds later, Nathan ripped the rubble away, reached into the water, and pulled the woman out of the water. Lois was sputtering and coughing, which meant she was alive-duh-and she would recover if she got away. Nathan paused as he felt a familiar strange effect and turned to the pool, and dove into the water. Lois gasped as she crawled to the edge, worried for the man she loved.

Back at the site of the battle, Batman grunted as Doomsday set its eyes on him and pulled out his grappling gun and shot it, evading Doomsday's attack as he crashed into the side of a building, the rain falling heavily upon the earth, lightning striking out across the sky and illuminating the battlefield beneath. Quickly dodging another laser beam, Batman leapt up and threw a smoke grenade and followed it as Doomsday slammed into the building. Doomsday roared as it leapt down and searched for its quarry, but no such luck, Batman had evaded its wrath.

Back with Lois, she gasped as she watched an eerie green glow rise up from the depths, a familiar form holding the glowing spear in his grasp, "Nathan!" she gasped in worry, "Nathan! Nathan!" she called out as she pulled him from the water, "Nathan! Nathan! Are you all right?" she asked in worry. She remembered what happened when he was exposed to this thing, he nearly died from it. She turned to the spear he clutched in hand, quickly removed it, and threw it further away, but not back towards the pool of water.

Nathan coughed as he rolled over, Lois coming back to his side to embrace him and plant a kiss on his cheek as he turned to the reporter, a smile adoring his face as he looked to the love of his life, before he turned to gaze at the fight, Doomsday slamming a fist into Diana where she flew back with a grunt of pain and dropped her sword and shield. She smirked at the challenge and reached out to grab her sword to block the fist from Doomsday, and then a swipe removed it from the foul beast, the cry of anger and pain filling the air as she removed the limb from the monster.

Doomsday snarled and unleashed a blast of heat vision and flung the demigoddess away as lightning sparked off Doomsday, the creature holding its ruined arm up and allowing his body to produce a spear of bone as it grew from the amputated limb.

Nathan looked to Lois sadly, "I love you." he told her softly, drawing her attention.

Lois felt her heart stop and quickly shook her head, "No. No, Nate, you can't." she pleaded as he looked at Doomsday.

"This is my world." he said softly.

Lois gripped his cheek hard as she could, drawing his attention, "No, Nathan, don't." she pleaded with him, begging him not to do it. Didn't he know he could die if he went through with this?

"You are my world." he told her lovingly.

Lois shook her head, "No. Please. NATHAN!" she cried out when her alien lover flew off, grabbing the spear and soaring at his mortal enemy. Doomsday snarled as its power once more grew in accordance to the damage it sustained, but a golden rope snapped and bound the creature in place, Diana crying out as she tried to reign the monster in to hopefully stall it long enough for Nathan or Batman to deliver the finishing blow. The creature's eyes glowed red as it took the straining woman in, but suddenly a green cloud enveloped the beast causing it to cough and its power to die.

Doomsday coughed and hacked like it had tasted something foul, and Diana glanced right to Bruce who glanced behind her as he watched the glowing spear speed towards Doomsday, the Man of Steel taking upon his own weakness to finish his duty.

Gripping the spear with his waning strength, Nathan drove the weapon into Doomsday's chest, the creature wailing out in utter agony as its power was stripped away fully once and for all. However, the energy it had prepared to unleash blasted outwards and pulled the lasso that bound it apart.

Diana cried out as she fell to the ground, and Doomsday snarled with a dying breath as it grabbed Nathan with its good hand, and drew back the deformed hand-then drove it into Nathan.

The Man of Steel cried out in pain and agony as the monster drove its hand into his chest. He gripped the bone and eyed his enemy, but rather than drag the arm out like he knew he could, Nathan grabbed the beasts arm, and pulled it in further, and drove the spear in deeper before it ripped through Doomsday's back and sliced its heart in two, killing the beast with a cry of death.

Light flashed through the heavens, both a unholy green and blinding white as Doomsday was forced to expel the energy from its body, and then, the monster collapsed dead to the ground, pulling Nathan from the bony protrusion and held him in its grip where both Kryptonian's perished as one.

Batman slowly walked over to the duo, unsure of what to do, looking down on the body of Nathan Kent in a state of silent sorrow. He made his choice and slowly knelt by Superman's prone form, gently crossing his arms over his body, wrapping him in his cloak. Taking the time to slowly-gently, close Nathan Kent's eyes he turned to Wonder Woman.

The Amazon nodded her head and walked over and extended her arms as Bruce lowered the body of the hero down as Lois came running over now that the battle had ended.

Nathan did it, he saved the world yet again.

She ought to kill him herself for worrying her so much. But, much to her dismay, she wasn't given what she wanted as she watched Diana take her lover's body and place him on the ground, a face of peace granted after a hard fought battle that had taken him from her. Diana, seeing her, gave her a sad look as she turned away, Lois slowly coming to realize what had happened.

Lois knelt down beside her lover, tears flowing without stop as she wept in mourning, gently placing Nate's head into her lap before bending over to place a tearful kiss of sadness onto his temple as she cried harder as she put her forehead down on his cooling body. Bruce slowly walked down and looked upon the scene in sorrow. If only he hadn't fallen for Luthor's ploy to get them to fight.

Meanwhile, an armed team of Spec Ops climbed down into the Alien ship, weapon's at the ready as they searched for the master plotter, and they found him within the gelatinous goop of the amniotic chamber Doomsday had been birthed from, the Liquid-Geo falling apart as Lex turned back with a shaky look in his eyes. He was arrested, and immediately shown no mercy as he was shoved into a prison suit hours later, his head shaved clean and shoved into a secluded cell where none could speak or offer him anything in the way of freedom.

The Daily Planet would print the next morning news that Superman had died saving the world from Lex Luthor's plot, destroying the creature named Doomsday with the help of the Batman and mysterious warrior woman who vanished after the battle.

The next week, the streets of Metropolis were empty, trash flowing through the air on the wind. No store had opened that morning, no cars drove down the street to fill the air with incessant honking from the traffic. It was like everyone had decided to take a day to leave the city in silence.

The Daily Planet was silent, the Lex-Corp office was silent, and Metropolis wept. Across the country, at the same time, the Kent Family Farm was filled with friends and family of one deceased Nathan Kent as they attended his funeral, friend, partner, lover, and none were left alone. Fresh meals were served and more placed upon the table as neighbor's came together to cry over one of their own. Perry and Jenny arrived and hugged Martha and expressed condolences from Martha losing her son as they hung up their coats shortly thereafter.

The casket was in the living room, emptied so guests could wish farewell to the man. Martha stood silently over her son, a picture in hand as she looked upon her little boy. Not hers by blood, but her son nevertheless. Glancing at the image she held, she placed it in Nathan's arms and patted him gently as she stepped back. She would miss talking to him, hearing his voice, his jokes, his laughter as he talked about something mundane at work. Meanwhile, Lois was upstairs in Nathan's old room, laying in the bed with tears in her eyes. A knock at the door sounded and Martha entered shortly after.

"Hi." she greeted the woman her son loved, "Nathan had this sent here, so he could surprise you." she said, holding out a package for her, addressed solely for Lois. Martha cupped Lois' cheek softly and nodded as she left her alone. Lois slowly opened the package and pulled out the contents within... a single diamond ring with a note attached that simply read;

'Will you marry me?'

A couple hours later, the casket was moved to a horse drawn wagon and the sound of bagpipes filled the air as the procession made its way towards the cemetery. Back in Metropolis, an artillery cannon sounded, followed by another six-the twenty gun salute filling the air as a group of jets flew past, one leaving the group to signify the loss of one of their own. Police in uniform marched next to an empty box with the flag of America that covered the emblem of the hero who had saved them laid in pure silver. Soldiers with rifles placed in the right shoulder arms position marched ahead of them as another set of bagpipes paid homage to Superman's passing.

The sides of the streets were filled by those who had seen, heard, spoken with the man of Steel, their eyes filled with loss. Upon reaching the end of the line, the soldiers walked over, lifted the flag from the casket, and proceeded to fold it with all the honors of a soldier where the folded flag was then passed to General Swanwick with a salute from the Gunnery Sergeant.

Back in Kansas, the Pastor read his scripture with a voice filled with sorrow, "The dead shall live. My slain shall rise again. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust. For thy dew is like the dew of morning. And the earth shall give birth to her dead." he finished with a small nod as he gently closed his bible and clutched it in the crook of his arm gently as he looked over the small crowd of gathered loved ones. With the funeral now complete, guests begun to filter away from the casket, each whispering thanks and well wishes to the others who had come to sendoff a man who had done his best by each and every one of them.

Martha in particular was not upset that she buried her only son, but she also forgot to pay, "Ah, I need a ride back to the house. I forgot my checkbook to pay the funeral director." she moaned in aggravation.

"They said it's all taken care of." Pete told her. He was an old friend of her sons, so he was always welcome at the house.

Martha was confused, who would pay for a funeral for a mere reporter? She looked at the young man, "By whom?" she asked.

Pete shrugged his shoulders, "Anonymous donor." he informed her. Back at the grave, Lois stood by herself, looking on as Nathan was lowered down into the hole. Forcing herself away for a moment, she walked over to the fresh pile of dirt and picked up a scoop in her hands.

A small distance away, Bruce stood in silence next to Diana. Both wore nice clothing for the funeral, but didn't attend for the fact that they weren't invited. Bruce inhaled deeply and sighed, "All those circuses back east burying an empty box." he remarked.

Diana spoke softly, "They don't know how to honor him, except as a soldier." she told him honestly.

Bruce sighed, "I've failed him in life. I won't fail him in death." he assured her as he turned to gaze at the Amazon, "Help me find the others like you." he told her, pleading actually.

Diana hummed, "Perhaps they don't want to be found." she told him.

Bruce turned back, "They will. And they'll fight. We have to stand together." he told her.

"100 years ago, I walked away from mankind. From a century of horrors. Man made a world where standing together is impossible." Diana spoke truthfully as she gazed at Lois beside the grave in silence.

Bruce thought otherwise, "Men are still good." he told her, "We fight. We kill. We betray one another. But we can rebuild. We can do better. We will. We have to." he assured her.

"The others like me. Why did you say they'll have to fight?" she asked him.

"Just a feeling." Bruce told her. And with that, they both walked away. As they did, Lois finally dropped the soil onto the casket and turned away, finally bidding Nathan farewell for good.

As she did, she'd never take notice of how the soil silently stirred, and lifted up off the casket.

Bit of a thought on my part, but as I mentioned before, this is solely written as a tribute to Juubi no Shinju's Man of Steel/Last Son of Krypton story that was already posted.

His story will not be holding this fight scene as he already has something planned for his own version-which will come in time-and was pre-planned.
