Aizawa enters the principals office, his heart beating heavily. This is one of the few times that he has approached Nezu without his permission, so it's natural that he would be nervous.

He slams open the door and walks straight up to Nezu's desk, slamming a letter he has in his hands down onto the desk.

"What the hell is this supposed to be?!" He asks, as Nezu looks up at him. Without blinking, he responds. "You've wanted to get out of this job for a long time, Eraserhead, I don't know you're getting so worked up over a simple letter detailing the termination of your contract here"

Aizawa tries to hide the sadness in his eyes. While yes, it's true that initially he hated working here and just did it for the money, he had grown fond of the students here, even if he would never admit it.

"That's not it" Eraserhead responds. "I want to know why the hell Hizashi and Kayama got these as well!"

Nezu sighs before looking him dead in the eye.

"My days in this position are numbered, I'm afraid"

Aizawa can't think of anything to say, as he just stares at his principal.

Nezu sighs. "I can't believe that I've grown this sentimental, but, well, you know what I was like when I first arrived at this school"

Aizawa nodded. He had started his career at UA as Aizawa's homeroom teacher, and he certainly took it seriously. He was vicious, never gave them a chance to rest. It was practically torture in their first year, but his teaching style had made them better heroes, without a doubt.

"To be completely honest, the reason I pushed you kids so hard wasn't because of a misplaced belief that it was the right way to do things. I was still resentful towards my captors, and I viewed all humans as evil… even you children. But you and your little group, Oboro, Hizashi, Tensei and Kayama, you all showed me the good parts of Humanity. How you were all so different and yet pushed each other to be better in your own little ways. I just don't want you to become the HPSC's lapdog"

The way Nezu said this was sombre, like he had already accepted that his days were numbered.

"What do they even have on you?" Aizawa asks incredulously, unable to believe that anybody could beat Nezu when it came to legal matters.

"The attack on Ms. Midoriya, I'm afraid. Despite what the president's little outburst at the sports festival may have you believe; the attack was a result of an information leak. Of course, such a thing happening under my reign as principal is unacceptable, and I will no doubt soon be forced off this position. I understand your anger, but there truly isn't anything else that we can do."

"What about the other teachers?" Aizawa asks. "Are you just going to let them be controlled by the HPSC?"

Nezu nods. "Someone needs to teach the children, unfortunately. And as selfish as it is, I'd just rather that it won't be you. Now please, I have other matters that need attending to"

Despite his anger, Aizawa took his queue to leave. Neither of them could say anything that would change the other's mind, and so Aizawa left the office, and began to pack his things.

Nezu turns to look out the window, and sighs. He knows what's going to happen once the HPSC takes over. The hero system won't change much, but the rest of the world? It's going to be warped beyond belief. The most terrifying part is that there is nothing he can do about it.

He flicks through some video files on his computer, and settles on one. It's simple, really. It came in earlier today, from Midoriya's internship. 6 hours long, detailing most of his patrol.

Nezu skims over it. Its the last patrol he has to review from the first week of the internships. Of course Miruko would be the one to send him the review late.

He stops around the two hour mark. The file was playing on 5x speed, his intelligence let him comprehend the video that quickly.

What catches his eye isn't a flashy move or display of strength. No, instead, it's Izuku slowing down, and willingly falling behind Miruko, as he helps get a cat out of a tree. It's a simple act, one might call it a cliché, but it tells him everything he needs to know.

Izuku Midoriya was born with so little compared to everyone else. Statistically, 20% of the world's population is quirkless, but most of those people are from earlier generations. To be born quirkless in the modern day is more rare than winning the lottery.

And yet, he refuses to grow bitter, or jaded. Its admirable, even Nezu allowed his own hatred to grow when he was being experimented on.

A hero like Izuku might be what this world needs.

Nezu just hopes that the young boy will be able to graduate.
