Vikki and Bathsheba continued up the cliffs leading up to the mountains. The Climb was difficult as most of the terrain being so steep. The Felidae had it easy for her. Her feet were quite use to such rugged terrain but, Vikki despite the extensive time in the prehistoric world her feet had yet to be fully accustomed to walking bare.

The Volcanic lands were the worst on her feet as she remembered. Climbing up the steep hills and cliffs were not as bad, but her feet already were killing her. Stepping onto rocks and jagged edges made her seethe.

Bathsheba assisted Vikki with their climb. Always leading and offering her hand to her if she was falling back.

"Once we make it off these mountains If I never climb again it will be too soon." Huffed Vikki as she climbed up another edge leading up to a high cliff. She was just below Bathsheba again seeing her with her hand out to her with a smile on her face.

"Yes, these are a challenge love, but the work is all worth it for what your about to see from up here." She winked and hauled, Vikki up over the edge with ease. It didn't mind to her that she had to help her friend out over and over. She wasn't used to such trials, but she was doing quite well. Her determination was easily seen. She would attempt this even without her help.

Once Vikki was over the edge she wiped some sweat off her head and breathed a few heavy breaths. If only at least she had some climbing gear. It would be made the traverse a lot more easier and safer. One slip and she would fall dozens of feet to her doom. She would be lucky if the impact would end her endlessly, but she had seen army recruits on the training courses fall from such heights and break or shatter their bones. Their agonizing screams always haunted her and hoped she would never be in such a position. Now she was in a way she wouldn't have imagined.

Remembering how she escaped the T-Rex that chased her, and she climbed down a rocky wall and one slip she thought she was done for but thankfully only a foot from the bottom and all that was broken for the moment was her pride if not a sore rear end.

"Take a look, Vikki." Bathsheba gestured her arm out to the horizon. After Vikki regained her breath she stood up and took a look out.

"Wow!" Vikki gasped in astonishment. She was looking out upon the land they only just had ventured through. The Jungle was much more vast than she originally imagined. She took notice of the river she and, Bathsheba swam and played in as it went through the jungle separating in forks across land. A Few brachiosaurus's were roaring in a short little cries just above the tree's.

Bathsheba noticed Vikki staring at the long-necked lizards. "Their singing." Pointed out the Lioness.

Vikki listened into the cooing noises coming from the Dinosaurs. It was almost majestic. "Beautiful." She sighed.

"That it is. The Creatures of this world offer a great deal. Some are more intoned with their races than one would believe. One with the natural order yet similar to who we are. They too have songs to sing of the world around them and I would say even on their own kind. We may not truly understand them, but they are not as beastly as most would believe." Explained Bathsheba holding her spear close.

Vikki nodded understandably. "I have to agree. Animals are not just creatures of natural instinct there is more to them. They are not entirely different from people like us. They have families. They care for their own people and safeguard them from danger. We just don't understand how they speak."

Bathsheba smiled at, Vikki. She had some wisdom in her. "You are correct. We lack their own language, but we do respect them. We cannot hold it against those that attack us. They hunt us as we hunt them. We all follow nature in our own order. But always respect that its never out of spite they hunt us for its only to fulfil their needs. The only ones we should never show any remorse or pity towards is those that turned against that order for their own selfish needs. Their spirits be damned for their transgressions." Huffed the Felidae. The Thought of that vile woman who brought ruin to so many lives including her. One day she will tear her throat out for what she had caused.

The Green haired woman looked at her friend with great pity. She had lost a great deal in her life. Having come to know her these past many days if there was anyone who deserved to live happily it was, Bathsheba. She once did live with happiness. She had her tribe and a family of her own. Only to have most of it robbed of her due to the actions of one person. Her people had nothing to do with her, yet she slaughtered many of her people for standing by a good person. It reminded her of those she too had fought against and a certain woman that caused her a great deal of trouble as well. The Moment she gets back to her world no words will be wasted. Just revenge in all its fashion.

Bathsheba's ears perked up she stood straight up and sniffed. Something afoul was close. It wasn't just one but many. Growling she picked up her spear.

"What is it?" Vikki asked concerned but then she heard a lot of rusting coming from the tree's behind them. She quickly removed her bow from her shoulders and pulled out an arrow.

"Ready yourself. I think we have been followed!" Snarled Bathsheba readying her spear and storming out cackling loudly was a sub-human waving a small axe in his hand. He cried out in an array of furious barbaric shouts.

Vikki shot one arrow hitting it square in the chest. It cried out deathly before falling to the ground dead. But that wasn't the end. Crashing out from the forest over a dozen of them surrounded the two friends some with spears and one-handed axes others had nothing but that didn't make them any less dangerous.

They all ran for the two and, Vikki managed to pull out one more arrow and fired at the closest one hitting it square in the throat killing the subhuman instantly before two of them with no weapons in hand reached her. One of them grabbed and yanked the bow out of, Vikki's hands throwing it to the side while the other one tried to grab her.

"Stay away from me!" Shouted Vikki balling up a fist and punched the subhuman right across its face. It hurt her hand, but she managed to catch the subhuman by surprise getting him to his knee's as it groaned from the impact.

Bathsheba stayed on the defense keeping close to Vikki. She thrust out her spear managing to pierce one subhuman in the chest, but the numbers were still on the side of the attackers. The Group quickly gained ground on them. One subhuman got close enough to strike, Bathsheba on her side. She snarled at him before kicking him back and pulled her spear free from the one she had killed. She blocked an Axe that came down at her and delivered a counter with the blunt end and turned in a quick circle building up momentum and kicked the subhuman so hard in the stomach it flew back a couple yards collapsing on the ground with a few broken ribs.

The Defense however was not holding up. Vikki only managed to keep one subhuman back throwing out a few punches just barely missing the subhuman in front of him. He grabbed one fist and turned it sharply to where, Vikki exclaimed painfully feeling like her wrist was about to snap but then another Subhuman came up from behind her pulling away the quiver of arrows from her and grabbing her other arm pulling it behind her wrapping his long arm across her neck.

"Get off me!" Screamed Vikki trying to struggle but the subhuman was much stronger. Her fist was let go by the one in front of her but quickly it was grabbed and pulled behind her when the subhuman came behind its companion and assisted in subduing the human woman.

"Let her go!" Bathsheba demanded growling at the subhumans with her sharp teeth on full display. The Two subhumans that had, Vikki refused to let go and the others still alive charged at her. Bathsheba deflected a few strikes, but she had to back up. They were gaining ground on her, and she was heading towards the cliff behind her.

"Watch out!" Warned Vikki as she continued to struggle trying to break free from the one subhuman that continued to hold her. Her hands were tied behind her back, but she still refused to give up. Bathsheba took a quick look at her friend. They had her now. She needed to assist but the subhumans were relentless. Two of them grabbed onto her spear and tried to pull it out of her grip.

Bathsheba kept a firm hold on it but another subhuman struck her across her face and in her side with a flurry of punches. She tried to stand firm but eventually released her spear and the subhumans tossed it away.

Again, they pressed their attack. Without her weapon Bathsheba couldn't deflect their blows. She narrowly avoided their weapons, but their fists and feet managed to collide against her forcing her back more to the cliff. She was dangerously close now only a foot away from it.

Vikki watched in horror still trying to break free but no matter her struggles the subhuman behind her kept his hold without showing any sign of tiring out. "Get out of there now!" Screamed Vikki only to be met by a subhuman's fist in her stomach.

Bathsheba saw what had been done to, Vikki. Enraged she attempted to run at her but one subhuman came to her side and collided against her halting her. And before Bathsheba could react a strong fist came up from beneath her and delivered a heavy blow that caused her to fall back over the cliff.

"BATHSHEBA!" Screamed Vikki in terror with the Felidae vanishing off the side of the cliff. She heard a few collisions before everything went silent. The Subhumans bellowed in victory raising their hands and weapons in the air. They had done their task. The One who had troubled them the most was gone. None of them bothered to look over the edge so sure that the lioness had fallen all the way to the jungle below her corpse laying out with her bones shattered and awaited to be an easy picking for one of the predators.

"YOU MONSTERS!" Shouted Vikki kicking out her legs desperately trying more than ever to get lose. The Subhuman behind her grunted and growled out to his fellows for assistance. Quickly Vikki was grabbed from multiple hands holding her steady as they could. She continued to struggle but now she could barely move. They were all remarkably strong, but she would not deter.

"STOP THIS!" Shouted Vikki only for a cloth to be draped around her mouth effectively keeping her quiet. She mumbled in the gag and continuing to protest glaring at the subhumans who then smiled both sinisterly and some others with a longing. They wanted to do a great many things with the woman. But their Mistress had plans for her. By her order she wanted the one who had caused the death of some of her forces and to be brought back alive and unspoiled at best. Should they fail in their task or defy her order in anyway their deaths would come and their intelligence was low, but their lives were something they all desired to keep.

A Rope was then tied across Vikki's neck with one piece of it extending out to one subhuman who made sure it was good and tight. Vikki was released for a moment before the rope tied across her neck was pulled so harshly she fell onto her face upon the ground with a hard painful thud. The Subhuman's chortled in their babbling way of speaking. Vikki was only hurt a little, but her gaze turned to the cliff where she saw, Bathsheba disappear. Was she truly gone? Did she meet her end over that cliff? She was still aware when she went over it maybe she could have…

She couldn't think of it more when the arms of subhumans quickly snatched her up getting her back to her feet. The one holding her rope pulled her up to him. He grabbed her chin making her look into his eyes that looked almost soulless. He grunted a warning holding up a knife in front of her eyes. She winced at the sight of the sharp blade turning away for a moment.

The Subhuman sheathed his knife and began to walk. Another was walking ahead of him while the others waited until the rope on, Vikki's neck went taut, and she was hauled along. She grunted from the rope digging into her neck her gaze still looking at the cliff where, Bathsheba fell from. She prayed that maybe her friend wasn't dead. But that hope was only slim. It was a long way down and she heard a lot of crashing. Maybe…or maybe not. But now she was in just as much of a dire situation. It had happened again. She was captured and she had a fighting chance to avoid it and she failed. She failed herself and her friend. Now where was she going be taken? She would have rather gone off the cliff with her friend if given that option.

She moaned sadly in her gag while she was made to follow her captor. If she fell too far behind the line would tug on her or the Subhumans behind her would shove her forward. This was very grim and there was no telling what was going to become of her now as she was pulled into the jungle upon the mountains.
