A Slaves Role
Vikki barely could stand as the contents of the Hookah still guided her actions making her easy for the woman that had imprisoned her to make her follow without a struggle. She coughed and even spit trying to billow out all the smoke she had inhaled hoping that it could eject all that she took into herself. But the herbs mixed in the hookah were greatly potent. Vikki had seen Roleil smoke it the day prior, but it hardly affected her at all.
Roleil chuckled seeing the green haired girl behind her barely keep up. The Herbs were doing wonders over the woman. Looking at her she certainly was a peculiar one. Light skinned. Her outfit consisting of a tanned hide of an animal she had not seen before. This Vikki certainly was someone of interest. She had to have come from lands far beyond the known world already. She was a foreigner and yet she had caused a great deal of trouble for her men.
Associating with some of the last of the Felidae that were not under her control. Befriending her no less and given to how her men had explained that the two were heading southward it could only mean one thing. The Pair were heading to Fire Keep. The Only sanctuary left for anyone that was not under Roleil's control. She made a daring move a few months ago that involved distracting the King long enough for her forces to sneak in and snatch her up. She had to insure that with the Princess under her control the King that defied her would not take up any action without risking the safety of his precious princess.
"Teegra our new friend needs some assistance. Help her." Ordered Roleil and Teegra who still followed close behind hurried to, Vikki's side wrapping an arm around her to keep her standing straight. She looked at the woman pitifully. Roleil again had taken another under her. For months now the poor woman endured the witch's cruelty. She had stripped her down to what little she wore now. Forced her to serve and entertain her. Made to watch as she turned men into the monstrosities that made, Roleil's army.
"Easy now. I got you." Whispered Teegra into Vikki's ear. A Soft moan escaped Vikki's lips as the contents she smoked were starting to leave her, but she still felt plenty weak. It was difficult to stand with her legs wobbling and the world around seem to be spinning.
Grinning broadly Roleil relished in the sight of both Teegra and her newest edition to her own roster of slaves. Teegra was once full of brightness and her beauty near unparalleled. Eager to see the world outside the safety of the walls of her kingdom. She had gotten her wish when Roleil's men had climbed the walls under the cover of darkness and had silently killed what little guard she had at the time and stole her away.
Oh, how it was such a glorious moment to see the King bellow in rage and grief when his daughter went missing. His forces could do nothing to find her before, Roleil's envoys made it clear to him that should he attempt to send any force out to find her though what little he had other than hundreds of refugees then she would send his daughter back to her in pieces. Surely he would not want that after what had befallen his son at her hands?
Since capturing Teegra ravaging the lands had been quite simple. Village after village had fallen under the storm of her sub-humans. The Beasts around were only problem that she had to deal with should any of her men encounter them or if one attacked her fortress. Despite some losses on occasion the number of her forces were always replenished. Groups of refugee's making their way to the only safe haven were often crossing paths with Roleil's patrols and no matter how high a wall a village had surrounding it they would eventually fall with too many of her own surpassing the meager defenses.
It didn't take too long to break Teegra. Like anyone who was sheltered and too eager to venture out into the world she had no idea what the world outside the safety of her father's domain was like. How she was so foolhardy to believe that the world about was something to considered safe and simple to endure. Taken away from her home. From the sight of her father and away from all the comforts she once had and took for granted of, Teegra was so simple to tame like the dragon hawks that the King had tamed and taught his men how to ride but even with the advantage of patrolling through the skies they could not have found the Princess before she was brought to, Roleil's fortress where a volley of arrows would meet anyone or anything that dares to come close to it.
"Move along to the temple. I want to show our new guest where her mistress will stake her claim upon the world and everything outside its known boundaries." Ordered Roleil heading over to what was a heptagon that had a grand stairway leading up to the top. Vikki's senses were returning to her and, Teegra carefully pulled her along letting her take easy steps. She knew just how potent the herbs were and it took her a long time to eventually endure it when, Roleil would make her take a few puffs.
When Vikki's vision finally stopped spinning she was being led up the stairs of the massive temple that was still under construction. The Clanging of hammers and howls of the frustrated sub-humans toiled away on it. Roleil wanted this Temple to be completed as soon as they can. She barely allowed her men any sleep let alone eat but for what they were to her now just pawns to use until they die by any means, and they can be replaced just as quickly.
"Hurry up there. I want her at the top now!" Demanded Roleil impatiently though she maintained the wicked grin. Teegra continued to help Vikki up the steps. She too was rather curious over the mysterious green haired woman. She knew most of her fathers kingdom and some of the refugees that came to Fire Keep. But she never saw anyone with green hair before. Was it natural or dyed? And where could she have come from? Many villages were decimated by Roleil with some coming from many weeks journey from Fire Keep but even the most distant of them did not have someone like, Vikki among them.
But answers would have to wait no doubt that Roleil would seek them out. Many times, she would taunt her captives. Demand answers to her questions before she would turn them into Sub-Humans. To their humanity lost and suffer a fate crueler than death. Even bearing witness to some of her own people succumbing to, Roleil's dark magic. It was a wonder why she never turned her but perhaps it was easier to keep her father at bay if she was still herself and alive though the fate she was living now was just as horrible as those that had become, Roleil's slave soldiers that no longer were themselves but monstrosities.
Teegra helped Vikki up the stairway to the top of the temple. Roleil was waiting at the top of temple looking down at the two slaves. The Grin on her face never left. They both looked so helpless and quite pathetic. Once freedom is stripped away its only a matter of time before one knows what they still have is a privilege that can easily be taken away should they not obey.
"Hurry up my pretties!" Roleil gestured to them with a finger. "I want the lovely green hair to see the spectacle from atop."
"At once, Mistress." Called Teegra climbing the steps faster and hauled, Vikki up with her.
Vikki tried to hasten her steps though she nearly fell back when she stubbed her toe on one of the steps and, Teegra only managed to pull her back in time before going over with her and, Roleil only laughed at the sight of them. She enjoyed seeing others in anguish. It reminded her that those in pain that came from her own commands meant that she had the power over them, and she did not even have use a spell or a potion for it.
Though limping slightly with a sore toe now Vikki managed to hop up the last steps and, Teegra finally released her. Roleil came up to Vikki and inspected her looking her up and down seeing how much she had worked up a sweat just by climbing the stairway. She took notice of Vikki's big toe on her right foot seeing it so red from slamming it against a step accidentally.
"What a shame." Tsked Roleil. "Pity your beauty is temporary displaced but let it be a reminder that when an order is given you should be hasty but watch your step when doing so."
Roleil giggled and Vikki's senses finally returned perhaps by stubbing her toe it made the rest of herbs she smoked finally leave her when she yelped from the pain. She only glared at her again, but Roleil only smiled more wrapping an arm over Vikki and gestured out to the horizons surrounding the forest.
"Behold, my dear. The Land around us. Soon it will be all mine. All the people that once believed they could defy me and disregard me will know who is the true Queen. They will eventually know that there is no more safe haven. Only through me will they know true order and obedience. Which reminds me who are you people, my sweet?" Asked Roleil slowly turning Vikki around letting her see the vast mountains. The Great plains and the jungles. So much land that offered vast resources to anyone who could control it but within it all were people living and abiding by what their own leaders applied and, Vikki believed that the leaders certainly were not anything close to what, Roleil was. And the way she spoke she reminded her of the very one responsible for exiling her to the prehistoric world in the first place.
"My people are not around anymore. I am the last." Vikki fibbed hoping that the topic could be avoided. There was no possibility that Roleil could endanger those she knew at all and even if she could their army was far better equipped to deal with primitives like her.
Roleil frowned grabbing the woman's chin turned her head to her sharply. "Maybe I was not too clear earlier. I want to know your people! You will tell me what I want to know. Or maybe I will persuade you by other means." Roleil grabbed Vikki's hair harshly and pulled her over to the edge enduring, Vikki's painful protests and, Teegra watched helplessly holding her hands together fearfully as, Roleil stood Vikki over the edge of the Temple holding her over by her hair and arm.
Vikki was very high. Five stories high. If she fell the impact would certainly kill her if not break so many bones her death would be filled with unimaginable agony.
"Please no!" Vikki begged trying to move back but, Roleil was behind her loosening her grip and, Vikki went more over the edge barely her feet staying in place.
"Tell me now! Or else if you did not lie to me then you can join your people in the realm of eternal darkness." Warned Roleil her smile so sinister nearly having her loose enough that, Vikki's hair was almost out of her grip.
"Alright! I'll tell you just don't let me go!" Pleaded Vikki hyperventilating in fear. She did not wish to die here in this world. Away from those she loved. Who would never know what happened to her. To have lost them and the friend she had made before she saw her go over the cliff when she was captured.
"Wise choice." Smiled Roleil gripping Vikki's hair and pulled her back over and she fell onto her back with a thud.
Vikki winced from the impact and Teegra stood by the stairs thanking the spirits for being kind. She may not know the woman well, but she did not want to see more people become like the abominations that were all over the fortress or watching more prisoners perish just to satisfy, Roleil's dark enjoyment of killing.
Roleil stepped over to Vikki and folded her arms thoughtfully. It was true that the woman at her feet was most mysterious and certainly killing her too soon would be unfavorable. But it would not be as much fun to have her break so easily and tell her all she wants to know. Maybe such information can be gain after a time of servility.
"On second thought. Keep your secret, my sweet. No need to tell me just yet." Roleil said giving Vikki a less than convincing apologetic look.
Vikki only gave Roleil a retorting look. Though happy she did not want her to talk about her people she still threatened her life. She was a sadistic monster and more like, Bridgette for sure. If they had indeed met it was a question of who would come out on top of a fight or worse if they compared too well they may ally themselves but, thankfully, that would never happen.
"Oh, stop pouting little green hair. You will soon appreciate your place. The More you're with me you will understand exactly what you're avoiding. Take note from the lovely princess over there." Roleil pointed to the quivering, Teegra. "She learned quite fast, and I am certain you will too. To bring you up here is a honor. This is where my true throne will be and how enjoyable it will be to see the world outside the expanded walls and see all its people quiver and bow to me and my sub-humans will keep them in place."
Vikki could only lay on the floor staring up at the rotunda above her. Roleil was a menace. She would not be one to bargain or reason with. Much like the many foes she and her family in the army had faced, Roleil would be high on that list for them to take down. If only she could.
Roleil clapped her hands together. "Now then. I am starved and I am in great need. I think a breakfast and massage are in order. Plenty to do today I would hate to start it with sore feet. Don't you agree?" Asked Roleil teasingly putting her bare foot on, Vikki's stomach. Vikki twitched the cold dirty sole on her belly. But then Roleil stomped on it and, Vikki gasped for air and coughed from the hard stomp.
"Consider that a quick lesson. When I speak to you, do answer with a proper title. My Lady or Mistress. My Queen. Those will do. Now do you have something to say to me? Or shall lead back to edge where the ground will await a fresh corpse?"
Vikki rolled over coughing getting on her knee's and stood up. "Yes…my Lady." Vikki didn't bother to look at her but, Roleil was pleased.
"Not too proper but I will accept it for now. Come along back to the tent. I expect to be well attended." Said Roleil turning Vikki around pushed her towards, Teegra who gave, Vikki a sad look and when, Roleil passed them both, Teegra again helped Vikki down the stairs of the temple. Vikki hated this. As many times she was captured before this was humiliating as it wad degrading and for once, Vikki was fearful.
In the times she was captured before least she could throw off her captors by appealing to them and learning of their plans and thanks to her boyfriend they both managed to stop their enemies thanks to, Vikki's intel. But here rescue was not going to come. She had no allies and the only friend she made was gone. Perished indefinitely by being thrown off the cliff. Vikki had to rely on herself if she was going to have a chance and maybe for, Teegra too. She could not escape the fortress and leave, Teegra to her fate but for now she had to do what, Roleil wanted. It was the only way to stay alive and learn all she could.
Once they made it back to the tent Roleil sat on her throne. "Vikki. Come here. You won't be able to serve at your best if your hands are behind you. Time to put them to use. I trust you will not do anything other than follow my wishes and no hostile actions?" Implied Roleil.
"I won't do anything other than what you say, my Lady." Vikki replied though the words spoken made her lips sting like poison being rubbed them.
Though Vikki's voice still had a tone of rebelliousness in it. It was satisfactory enough for Roleil. "Good. Now allow me. Turn around." Vikki did what she was told but she felt Roleil's nails on her back teasingly rub the bare places making her shiver and her eyes glinted with hate. Teegra in front stood silently and gave, Vikki a sad look. A Mere taste of what she was enduring.
Roleil took her time moving down Vikki's back until she reached the ropes on her wrists and untied them. Once her hands were free Vikki immediately brought them up and rubbed her sore wrists slightly red from being bound so long.
"Now get your knees and massage my feet, Vikki. And you Teegra fetch the fruit and feed me now." Roleil demanded and, Vikki reluctantly got on her knees while, Teegra fetched a tray with many fruits on it and hurried back over but she was met by a sub-human who attached a golden collar to her neck with a chain latched on it and the chain was linked to, Roleil's throne.
"Come now, my dears. Your queen awaits." Roleil lifted a foot at Vikki and though the woman ever only massaged two people in her life which was her boyfriend and her late friend, Bathsheba she grasped, Roleil's foot and began to rub and gently twist the muscles letting, Roleil become more relaxed while she puffed on her hookah more before, Teegra took some grapes from the tray and fed the witch.
Both the Women at service to Roleil hated what their fates had brought them both. But while Teegra was defeated Vikki was not. It would take a lot more than this to break her. She just needed time to figure out the fortress and, Roleil and just maybe there is a weakness that would allow them to escape but until then she sadly continued her work and only tried to imagine she was giving relief to someone more worthy than the monster that had imprisoned her and, Teegra and had made them her personal slaves.
