Chapter 108: Orange League Tournament Top 4! Nemona vs Rinto!
Hello everyone, this chapter will mainly focus on Nemona and Rinto's battle to see which of them will join Ash in the finals. I hope you all enjoy it!
The chapter begins where the last one left off with Nemona calling for her Fighting Breed Tauros to use Raging Bull while Rinto's Manectric uses Thunder. We see Tauros about to collide with the Thunder as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros dodge then use Rockslide!" Nemona calls. Tauros manages to avoid the Thunder by moving to the left as it then lets out a mighty roar summoning multiple boulders around itself and fires them at Manectric as Rinto speaks.
"Manectric blow them away with Discharge!" Rinto calls. Manectric lets out a roar as it sends out electricity everywhere and easily destroys the boulders. The Discharge now heads for Tauros as Nemona speaks.
"Use Bulk Up and High Horsepower!" Nemona calls. Tauros lets out a mighty roar as it bulks up its body, increasing its physical attack/defense, gains an orange outline and runs forward entering the Discharge. Inside the Discharge Tauros is easily running inside the move and is getting closer to Manectric as Rinto speaks.
"Manectric use Hyper Voice!" Rinto calls. Manectric takes a deep breath and roars sending out a loud voice that causes Tauros to stop hurting both it and Nemona's ears. As Manectric continues to roar Rinto speaks.
"Now use Psychic Fangs!" Rinto calls. Manectric covers its teeth in psychic energy, jumps forward and bites down hard on Tauros. The bull cries out in pain from the super effective attack as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros calm down and use Close Combat!" Nemona calls with the bull nodding as it begins to thrash about making Manectric's grip on Tauros loosen as a couple seconds later Manectric lets go. When that happens, Tauros begins to hit Manectric repeatedly with its horns causing damage to the mon. Tauros then turns around and kicks Manectric with its back hooves. Manectric's sent flying and crashes back down on the battlefield a few feet away. When the dust clears Manectric's laying on its left side groaning as Nemona speaks.
"Good job Tauros" Nemona says with the bull nodding as Rinto begins to think.
"It's a lot stronger than I thought I should return Manectric for now." Rinto says to himself as he's about to pull out Manectric's Pokeball Nemona speaks.
"Tauros use High Horsepower!" Nemona calls. The bull lets out a mighty roar as it gains an orange outline and jumps forward heading for Manectric as Rinto speaks.
"Looks like she's not going to give me time to switch. Well, that's fine. Manectric use Overheat!" Rinto calls. Just when Tauros is about to hit Manectric the discharge Pokémon looks at Tauros and lets out a roar as it sends out a big wave of heat that consumes the bull creating an explosion as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros!" Nemona calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Tauros who's sent flying and lands back on the battlefield a few feet away landing on its right side. The bull groans in pain as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros are you okay?!" Nemona asks with the bull nodding as it stands back up Rinto speaks.
"So, it survived that." Rinto says to himself as he looks at Manectric and can see that the mon is tired as it's panting heavily Nemona then speaks.
"That was a powerful Overheat but you'll need more than that to take down my Tauros! Tauros use Rockslide!" Nemona calls with the bull nodding as it summons multiple large boulders around itself and fires them at Manectric as Rinto speaks.
"Manectric run forward while dodging the Rockslide!" Rinto calls with Manectric nodding as it begins running forward and is easily evading the boulders. Nemona then speaks.
"So, you're coming for us huh? Then we'll meet you halfway. Tauros use High Horsepower!" Nemona calls with Tauros nodding as it gains an orange outline and begins running forward heading for Manectric. Over with Manectric it's evaded the last boulder and sees Tauros heading for it. As the 2 mons are getting closer and are about to collide Rinto speaks.
"Manectric use Overheat!" Rinto calls with Manectric nodding as it heats up its body and fires out a big wave of heat from its mouth that heads for Tauros as Nemona speaks.
"Run through it Tauros!" Nemona calls with Tauros nodding as it manages to easily run through the move. Then once Tauros is out it doesn't see Manectric anymore making the bull confused as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros above you!" Nemona calls causing the mon to look at the sky as it sees Manectric who's sparking its body Nemona speaks.
"Tauros use Rockslide!" "Manectric use Volt Switch!" Both trainers' call. Before Tauros can use the move Manectric summons a ball of electricity and throws it at Tauros which hits the mon causing damage and shines a bright light which blinds Nemona. After that Manectric then goes back in its Pokeball as replacing the mon is Beautifly. The mon has a serious look on its face as in the stands Ash speaks.
"Wait why did Beautifly come out?" Ash asks as Tracey speaks.
"Similar to U Turn Volt Switch is a move that allows the user to switch out with its teammate." Tracey says with Ash nodding. Back on the battlefield Nemona speaks.
"So, you switched out your Manectric with a Beautifly well that doesn't scare us! Tauros use Rockslide!" Nemona calls with the bull roaring as it summons multiple large boulders and sends them at Beautifly as Rinto speaks.
"Beautifly use Double Team and fly forward!" Rinto calls. Beautifly creates multiple copies of itself as it along with its clones begin to fly forward. As they're doing that, they try their best to avoid the boulders but some of the clones get hit. A couple seconds later the real one along with a few of its clones evade all of the boulders as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros use Raging Bull!" Nemona calls. Tauros lets out a roar as it covers its horns and body in orange energy. Tauros then begins running forward, heading for Beautifly as Rinto speaks.
"Not surprised. Beautifly have your clones use Aerial Ace!" Rinto calls with Beautifly nodding as it tells its clones to use Aerial Ace. The clones nod and shoot forward heading for Tauros as Nemona speaks.
"There not real Tauros so run through them!" Nemona calls with Tauros nodding as it's easily running through the clones. Then when the clones are gone Tauros begins running towards the real Beautifly as Nemona speaks.
"Hit it Tauros!" Nemona says happily as when Tauros is about to hit the mon Rinto speaks.
"Use Flash!" Rinto calls. Beautifly shines brightly and sends out a light that blinds Tauros causing the mon to come to a complete stop as Rinto speaks.
"Now use Hurricane!" "Tauros look out!" Both trainers' call. Tauros's unable to dodge in time as Beautifly begins flapping its wings fast and creates a big Hurricane that consumes Tauros. Inside the Hurricane Tauros is crying out in pain as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros!" Nemona calls in worry as when the Hurricane disappears Tauros falls back on the battlefield creating a dust cloud. When the cloud of dust clears everyone can see Tauros lying on its right side and is knocked out. Rika makes the call.
"Tauros is unable to battle Beautifly's the winner!" Rika calls allowing for Rinto and Beautifly to smile. Up in the stands Hau speaks.
"Looks like Rinto got the first win." Hau says with the others nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Nemona returns Tauros back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Once she puts the ball away, she looks over at Rinto and speaks.
"Wow I have to say you are good but I'm not out yet." Nemona says while holding her next Pokeball forward as she goes to throw it.
"Orthworm, come out!" Nemona says as she throws the ball forward and sends out a steel worm like Pokémon the mon has a smile on its face as up in the stands Ash speaks.
"Who's that Pokémon?" Ash questions as he along with Leaf pull out their Pokedex's to scan the mon.
"Orthworm, the Earthworm Pokémon and a pure Steel type. It inhabits dry, sandy areas. It eats iron in the soil to maintain its metallic body." The Pokedex says as back on the battlefield Rinto thinks.
"So, an Orthworm's her next choice that's fine as Beautifly should be able to beat it." Rinto says to himself as he looks at the mon and speaks.
"Beautifly you're staying in." Rinto says with Beautifly nodding as it along with Orthworm get into battle stances. Rika calls for the battle to continue as Nemona speaks.
"Use Sandstorm!" Nemona calls. Orthworm lets out a roar as it summons a large storm of sand that covers the battlefield. The sand causes some damage to Beautifly as Rinto speaks.
"Beautifly use Hurricane to blow it away!" Rinto calls. Beautifly nods as it flaps its wings fast summoning a large Hurricane that easily gets rid of the Sandstorm. Once Beautifly does that Nemona speaks.
"Use Smack Down!" Nemona calls. Orthworm spits out a rock from its mouth that hits Beautifly and sends the mon crashing on the battlefield creating a dust cloud. When the cloud of dust clears Beautifly groans in pain as Rinto speaks.
"Are you okay Beautifly?" Rinto asks with the mon nodding as Nemona speaks.
"Use Rock Tomb!" Nemona calls. Orthworm summons 4 large rocks and sends them at Beautifly as Rinto speaks.
"Beautifly dodge!" Rinto calls with Beautifly nodding as it easily dodges the rocks Nemona speaks.
"Use Drill Run!" Nemona calls. Orthworm becomes a drill, shoots forward and hits Beautifly causing damage to the mon. Up in the stands Ash speaks.
"Wait Drill Run managed to hit Beautifly? But I thought that ground type moves don't work against flying types." Ash says as Tracey speaks.
"Normally that's the case but since Nemona's Orthworm landed the Smack Down move on Beautifly it not only grounded the mon but also allowed for ground type moves to be effective against Beautifly. Also, the effect only goes away once Beautifly is returned." Tracey says with Ash and the others nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Beautifly's sent flying back and lands back on the battlefield a few feet away as Rinto speaks.
"Beautifly!" Rinto calls out to the mon who's groaning in pain as Nemona speaks.
"Let's keep going Orthworm use Earthquake!" Nemona calls with the mon nodding as it slams its tail hard on the battlefield causing it to shake as Rinto speaks.
"Beautifly fly in the air and use Morning Sun!" Rinto calls. Beautifly nods as it quickly flies in the air and dodges the Earthquake. Now that Beautifly's in the air it begins to glow as Nemona speaks.
"Now Orthworm use Rockslide!" Nemona calls with Orthworm nodding as it summons a portal above Beautifly. Beautifly looks at the portal and sees multiple large boulders coming out of it as Rinto speaks.
"Beautifly use Double Team to dodge!" Rinto calls but was too late as the boulders hit Beautifly and send the mon crashing back down on the battlefield creating a cloud of dust as Rinto speaks.
"Beautifly!" Rinto calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see that Beautifly's knocked out. Rika then speaks.
"Beautifly's unable to battle Orthworm's the winner!" Rika calls allowing for Nemona and Orthworm to cheer. Up in the stands Hau speaks.
"Wow, Orthworm defeated Beautifly easily." Hau says as Tracey speaks.
"Nemona knew Rinto would have Beautifly dodge the Earthquake and go for Morning Sun which is when she made her move." Tracey says with the others nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Rinto's a little surprised that Beautifly lost but then recomposes himself and returns the mon back to its Pokeball. Rinto tells Beautifly thank you then puts the ball away as Nemona speaks.
"Your Beautifly was pretty good Rinto but it looks like my Orthworm came out on top." Nemona says with Rinto nodding as he speaks.
"Yes, you're right but it won't be like that for long." Rinto says as he pulls out his next Pokeball and goes to throw it.
"Manectric come back out!" Rinto says as he throws the ball forward and sends his Manectric back in. Once the mon appears it groans in pain from its previous fight with Tauros as Nemona speaks.
"So, Manectric's back this should be easy." Nemona says while having a confident look on her face. Rika calls for the battle to continue as Nemona speaks.
"Orthworm let's knock out Manectric in one hit. Use Earthquake!" Nemona calls. Orthworm nods as it roars and begins to shake the entire battlefield as Rinto speaks.
"Manectric dodge then use Overheat!" Rinto calls. Manectric quickly jumps in the air avoiding the Earthquake. Manectric's body begins to heat up as it fires out a big wave of fire from its mouth that heads for Orthworm as Nemona speaks.
"Break through it with Drill Run!" Nemona calls. Orthworm nods as it becomes a drill and shoots forward. Orthworm enters the Overheat and is easily going through it which surprises everyone. Orthworm then makes it out of the Overheat and goes to hit Manectric as Rinto speaks.
"Manectric dodge then use Volt Switch!" Rinto calls. Manectric manages to narrowly dodge Orthworm's attack as it then summons an electric ball and sends it at Orthworm. Orthworm's unable to dodge in time as the electric ball hits it creating an explosion and allowing for Manectric to go back in its Pokeball. Orthworm is sent sliding out of the smoke a few feet away and once the mon stops itself it looks forward and sees that a Slaking has taken Manectric's place. Slaking looks at Orthworm as Rinto speaks.
"Hammer Arm!" Rinto calls. Slaking's right arm glows white and goes to hit Orthworm as Nemona speaks.
"Use Protect then Iron Tail!" Nemona calls. Orthworm quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks Slaking's attack bouncing the mons arm away. Orthworm then covers its tail in steel energy, spins around and slaps Slaking hard across the face doing some damage to the mon as Nemona speaks.
"Great now use Drill Run!" "Slaking take the hit and use Counter!" Both trainers' call. Orthworm becomes a drill, shoots forward and hits Slaking hard in the stomach. Slaking groans in pain but then has orange energy go into its right fist and punches Orthworm hard in the face causing super effective damage. Orthworm is sent flying and crashes on the battlefield a few feet away as Jake speaks.
"Slaking has landed a heavy blow on Orthworm is it knocked out?!" Jake says as when the dust clears everyone can see Orthworm laying on its stomach groaning in pain but can still battle which makes Nemona happy. Up in the stands Cameron speaks.
"Wow it survived a Counter from a Slaking?" Cameron says as Tracey speaks.
"I've heard that Orthworm's do have very high physical defense." Tracey says with Cameron nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Rinto begins to think.
"I knew that Orthworm's have very high physical defense, but I was hoping that Slaking would've been able to knock it out. Nemona must've raised its defense a lot." Rinto says to himself as he looks over at Nemona who has a smile on her face then speaks.
"Okay Orthworm Slaking's in its Truant stance now it's time for some revenge. Use Earthquake!" Nemona calls with Orthworm nodding as it lets out a roar and begins to shake the battlefield causing some damage to Slaking as Nemona speaks.
"Now use Rockslide!" Nemona calls. Orthworm continues to roar as it summons a portal above Slaking's head and out of it appears multiple large boulders that head for Slaking as Rinto speaks.
"Slaking use Hammer Arm to get rid of them!" Rinto calls. Slaking covers both of its arms in white energy and begins to easily destroy the boulders as Nemona speaks.
"Use Drill Run!" Nemona calls. Orthworm becomes a drill and shoots forward hitting Slaking hard in the chest which causes some of the boulders to hit Slaking doing more damage to the mon. Slaking groans in pain then looks at Orthworm as Rinto speaks.
"Slaking use Counter!" Rinto calls. Slaking lets out a roar and goes to hit Orthworm with its right fist as Nemona speaks.
"Use Shed Tail!" Nemona calls "It knows Shed Tail?!" Rinto says in surprise as when Slaking's fist is about to make contact with Orthworm the mon summons a substitute version of itself that takes the hit while the real one goes back in its Pokeball as Quaquaval comes out. Quaquaval looks at Slaking as up in the stands Hau speaks.
"Wait why did Quaquaval come out?" Hau asks as Tracey speaks.
"Similar to Substitute Shed Tail is a move that allows the user to leave an image of itself to take its place and the user takes some damage. But unlike Substitute Shed Tail lets the user switch out with one of its teammates." Tracey answers with the group nodding as back on the battlefield Nemona speaks.
"Okay Quaquaval use Close Combat!" Nemona calls with Quaquaval nodding as it shoots forward and begins kicking Slaking repeatedly with its legs with each hit causing more damage than the last. Quaquaval then kicks Slaking one more time and sends the mon sliding back a few feet away. Slaking's groaning in pain as Nemona speaks.
"Good job Quaquaval now finish Slaking off with Aqua Step!" Nemona calls. Quaquaval nods as it jumps forward and goes to hit Slaking as Rinto speaks.
"Hyper Beam Slaking!" Rinto calls. Slaking lets out a roar and fires out a large orange beam that makes contact with Quaquaval creating an explosion as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval!" Nemona calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Quaquaval who lands on its back groaning in pain but stands back up. Over with Slaking it's panting heavily as Rinto begins to think.
"Slaking's taken a lot of damage I need to switch him out for now." Rinto says to himself as he returns Slaking back to its ball. Once he does that, he pulls out another Pokeball and speaks.
"Manectric come out!" Rinto says as he throws the ball forward and sends his Manectric back in. When the mon appears, it has a serious look on its face and is groaning in pain but is still ready to battle as Jake speaks.
"Rinto has brought Manectric back in!" Jake says as Rinto speaks.
"Manectric use Thunder!" Rinto calls. Manectric lets out a mighty roar and fires a large electric bolt at Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval use Triple Kick to knock it away!" Nemona calls. Quaquaval covers both of its feet in ice and easily kicks the Thunder away as Rinto speaks.
"Use Wild Charge!" Rinto calls. Manectric covers its body in electricity, shoots forward and hits Quaquaval hard in the stomach causing super effective damage. Quaquaval coughs in pain and is sent sliding back a few feet away as Rinto speaks.
"Use Discharge!" Rinto calls. Manectric takes some recoil damage from the Wild Charge but then lets out a mighty roar and fires multiple electric bolts that head for Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval use Ice Spinner!" Nemona calls. Quaquaval covers both of its feet in ice and jumps forward. When Quaquaval's about to make contact with the Discharge the mon begins to spin and is easily deflecting the electric bolts away while heading for Manectric. Rinto has a surprised look on his face as a couple seconds later Quaquaval fully by passes the Discharge and is now in front of Manectric. Quaquaval looks at Manectric as Nemona speaks.
"Use Close Combat!" Nemona calls with Quaquaval nodding as when it goes to hit Manectric Rinto speaks.
"Manectric use Volt Switch!" Rinto calls. Manectric quickly summons an electric ball that blinds Quaquaval and hits the mon causing some damage to it. Manectric then goes back in its Pokeball as Gardevoir comes out to take its place. Gardevoir looks at Quaquaval as Rinto speaks.
"Use Psychic!" Rinto calls. Gardevoir fires out a wave of psychic energy at Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Get rid of it with Knock Off!" Nemona calls with Quaquaval nodding as it covers its right foot in dark energy and kicks the psychic away. When Quaquaval does that it along with Nemona notice multiple psychic orbs surrounding the mon as Rinto speaks.
"Psyshock Gardevoir!" "Quaquaval keep using Knock Off!" Both trainers' call. Gardevoir's eyes glow and sends the orbs at Quaquaval. Quaquaval sees the orbs coming as it covers both of its feet in dark energy and begins to kick the orbs away. As Quaquaval's doing that it's also kicking the orbs into other ones causing them to explode. Quaquaval continues to kick the orbs away until Rinto speaks.
"Use Moonblast!" Rinto calls. Gardevoir quickly creates an orb of fairy energy and sends it at Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval quick kick it away!" Nemona calls. When Quaquaval kicks another psychic orb away it sees the Moonblast coming but doesn't have time to react as there's then an explosion. Out of the explosion Quaquaval appears out of the smoke and is sent flying as it lands on its back. Quaquaval's groaning in pain as Rinto speaks.
"Gardevoir it's time to finish Quaquaval off use Psychic!" Rinto calls. Gardevoir's eyes glow and sends out a wave of psychic energy at Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval use Knock Off and Aqua Jet!" Nemona calls. Quaquaval nods as it quickly stands up, covers its body in water and shoots forward. Quaquaval points its left foot forward, covers it in dark energy and is easily going through the Psychic as Rinto speaks.
"Use Moonblast!" Rinto calls. Gardevoir summons another pink orb of fairy energy and sends it at Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval use Aqua Jet to dodge then use Flip Turn!" Nemona calls. When the Moonblast is about to make contact with Quaquaval the mon easily avoids it with Aqua Jet. Quaquaval then shoots forward and hits Gardevoir causing damage to the mon. Before Gardevoir can counter Quaquaval quickly goes back in its Pokeball as replacing it is a Houndstone. The mon has a serious look on its face as Nemona speaks.
"Houndstone use Snarl!" Nemona calls. Houndstone lets out a roar and sends out multiple rings of dark energy at Gardevoir as Rinto speaks.
"Counter with Moonblast!" Rinto calls. Gardevoir quickly fires a pink orb of fairy energy that easily goes through the Snarl and heads for Houndstone as Nemona speaks.
"Dodge with Phantom Force!" Nemona calls with Houndstone nodding as it creates a portal behind itself and goes inside it dodging the attack as Rinto speaks.
"Gardevoir when Houndstone appears dodge and hold it in place with Psychic!" Rinto calls with Gardevoir nodding as a couple seconds later a portal appears from Gardevoir's right side and out of it appears Houndstone. The ghost dog goes to hit Gardevoir, but the mon manages to dodge the attack by jumping a few feet away. Once Gardevoir lands it quickly sends out a wave of psychic energy that makes contact with Houndstone and begins holding the mon in place. Houndstone's groaning in pain from the psychic attack as Rinto speaks.
"Gardevoir use Calm Mind then Moonblast!" Rinto calls. Gardevoir nods as it quickly calms its mind increasing its special attack/defense power. Gardevoir then creates a big ball of fairy energy and sends it at the restrained Houndstone. Houndstone sees the move coming but isn't worried as Nemona speaks.
"Houndstone break out of the Psychic with Crunch then use Phantom Force!" Nemona calls. Houndstone covers its teeth in dark energy and bites down on the psychic easily destroying it. Houndstone then summons a portal behind itself and goes inside it causing the Moonblast to miss. A portal then appears on Gardevoir's right side and out of it comes Houndstone who goes to hit the mon as Rinto speaks.
"That won't work! Gardevoir dodge and use Calm Mind!" Rinto calls. Gardevoir quickly jumps back a few feet away and dodges Houndstone's attack. Once Gardevoir lands it begins to calm its mind as Nemona speaks.
"Now Houndstone use Last Respects!" Nemona calls. Houndstone lets out a mighty roar as it sends out a big blast of ghostly energy that heads for Gardevoir as Rinto speaks.
"Gardevoir dodge!" Rinto calls but was too late as the attack hits Gardevoir and consumes the mon. Gardevoir is crying out in pain as it's sent crashing in the wall behind Rinto creating an explosion as Rinto speaks.
"Gardevoir!" Rinto calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Gardevoir leaning against the wall and is knocked out. Rika makes the call.
"Gardevoir's unable to battle Houndstone's the winner!" Rika calls allowing for Nemona and Houndstone to cheer. Up in the stands the group have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"What was that attack?" Ash asks as Tracey speaks.
"Last Respects is a move where if one of the users' teammates faints then it boosts the moves power by 50." Tracey says with Ash nodding as Barry speaks.
"But how did it manage to faint Gardevoir when it raised its special defense?" Barry asks as Tracey speaks.
"Well, you see Last Respects is actually a physical move and Gardevoir are known to have very low physical defense." Tracey responds as Misty speaks.
"So, Nemona knew that and just waited for her chance to use it." Misty says with Tracey nodding as he speaks.
"You're right because the moment Rinto called for Gardevoir to use Calm Mind again was when Nemona knew to make her move." Tracey says with the group nodding as they continue to watch the battle with Ash impressed by Nemona. Back on the battlefield Rinto returns Gardevoir back to its Pokeball, tells the mon thank you and puts the ball away. Once he does that, he sees Nemona returning Houndstone back to its Pokeball as Rinto speaks.
"You're returning your Houndstone?" Rinto asks as Nemona speaks.
"Yep, she's done her part for now and I might need her again for later." Nemona says with Rinto nodding as Nemona pulls out another Pokeball and speaks.
"And now it's this one's turn. Kilowattrel come out!" Nemona says as she throws the ball forward and sends out a big yellow bird like Pokémon. The bird flies in the air and has a serious look on its face as Jake speaks.
"Nemona has now sent in a Kilowattrel!" Jake says as Don George speaks.
"And it's a big one" Don George says as up in the stands Tracey speaks.
"I've never seen a Kilowattrel in real life before I got to sketch it." Tracey says as he begins to sketch the mon Ash along with Leaf pull out their Pokedex's to scan it.

"I've to say it looks cool" Ash says as Leaf speaks.
"I hope I get to catch my own one day." Leaf says with Ash agreeing with her as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Rinto looks at Kilowattrel and begins to think.
"So, a Kilowattrel's her next Pokémon. Manectric along with Slaking are injured and I don't want to use my strongest Pokémon yet so that leaves me with you." Rinto says while looking at his next Pokeball as he goes to throw it.
"Garchomp, come out!" Rinto says as he throws the ball forward and sends in a Garchomp. Once the mon appears it lets out a mighty roar then looks at Kilowattrel with the mon looking back. Up in the stands Ash speaks.
"I didn't know that Rinto had a Garchomp." Ash says as Tracey speaks.
"That was a smart choice on Rinto's part as now Kilowattrel's electric type moves won't have any effect on it." Tracey says with the group nodding as back on the battlefield Nemona looks at Rinto's Garchomp and speaks.
"Wow! Your Garchomp looks so cool and strong and I'm excited to battle it." Nemona says while having an excited look on her face as Rinto speaks.
"Thank you and Garchomp will defeat your Kilowattrel." Rinto says with Garchomp agreeing with him as it along with Kilowattrel get into battle stances. Rika calls for the battle to continue as Rinto speaks.
"Garchomp use Stone Edge!" Rinto calls. Garchomp lets out a mighty roar and sends multiple sharp stones at Kilowattrel as Nemona speaks.
"Dodge!" Nemona calls with the electric bird nodding as it begins to easily evade the sharp stones. When Kilowattrel dodges the last one Garchomp suddenly appears in front of it as Rinto speaks.
"Use Dragon Claw!" "Kilowattrel use Agility to dodge!" Both trainers' call. Garchomp covers its right claw in green dragon energy and goes to hit Kilowattrel, but the electric bird disappears. Garchomp has a surprised look on its face as Nemona speaks.
"Use Acrobatics!" Nemona calls. Suddenly Kilowattrel appears in front of Garchomp and begins hitting the mon back and forth causing damage to it. Kilowattrel hits Garchomp one more time and sends the mon back a few feet away. Garchomp groans a little in pain as Nemona speaks.
"Good job Kilowattrel!" Nemona says with Kilowattrel nodding as it then begins to groan in pain too surprising Nemona as she speaks.
"Kilowattrel what's wrong?" Nemona asks as Rinto speaks.
"My Garchomp's ability is Rough Skin meaning that whenever the opposing Pokémon lands a contact move on Garchomp they get damaged too." Rinto says with Nemona nodding as she speaks.
"I see that does explain it and it looks like I can't have Kilowattrel use physical attacks but that's not all she knows." Nemona says as Rinto speaks.
"I'd be shocked if physical attacks were all that your Kilowattrel had." Rinto says with Nemona nodding as she speaks.
"Well then looks like it's our turn to attack. Kilowattrel use Air Slash!" Nemona calls. Kilowattrel's wings glow blue and begins flapping them fast sending out multiple slashes of wind at Garchomp as Rinto speaks.
"Blow them away with Stone Edge!" Rinto calls. Garchomp summons multiple sharp stones around itself and sends them forward as they collide with the slashes of wind easily destroying them. The sharp stones head for Kilowattrel as Nemona speaks.
"Kilowattrel dodge!" Nemona calls. Kilowattrel easily evades the sharp stones as Rinto speaks.
"Garchomp use Crunch!" Rinto calls. Garchomp appears in front of Kilowattrel, covers its teeth in dark energy and goes to bite the mon as Nemona speaks.
"Kilowattrel dodge and fly away!" Nemona calls with Kilowattrel nodding as it manages to narrowly avoid Garchomp and begins to fly away Rinto speaks.
"After it Garchomp!" Rinto calls with the mon nodding as it begins to fly after Kilowattrel. As the two mons are flying everyone's seeing just how fast they're going with Garchomp desperately trying to catch Kilowattrel, but the bird is too fast. Rinto calls for a command.
"Use Dragon Rush!" Rinto calls. Garchomp lets out a mighty roar as it covers its body in dragon energy and begins to speed up getting closer to Kilowattrel. Just when Garchomp's about to close the gap between it and the bird Nemona speaks.
"Use Agility to dodge then use Hurricane!" Nemona calls. Kilowattrel nods as it speeds up and disappears from Garchomp's sight causing the mon to stop. Garchomp begins trying to look for the mon as suddenly Kilowattrel appears behind Garchomp and roars summoning a big Hurricane. Inside the Hurricane Garchomp's being spun around fast and is groaning in pain as Rinto speaks.
"Garchomp break free with Stone Edge!" Rinto calls. Garchomp nods as it summons multiple sharp stones and sends them everywhere easily destroying the Hurricane. A few of the sharp stones go to hit Kilowattrel but the mon manages to dodge them as Rinto speaks.
"Use Dragon Rush!" Rinto calls. Garchomp roars as it quickly covers its body in dragon energy, flies forward and hits Kilowattrel causing damage to the mon. Kilowattrel's sent flying a few feet away as Nemona speaks.
"Hit it back with Hurricane!" Nemona calls. Kilowattrel manages to stop itself and lets out a roar as it summons a big Hurricane that consumes Garchomp and begins to spin the mon again. A couple seconds later the Hurricane disappears and Garchomp begins falling towards the battlefield. Nemona has a happy look on her face as Rinto speaks.
"Stone Edge Garchomp!" Rinto calls with the land shark nodding as it quickly sends a large sharp stone at Kilowattrel creating an explosion as Nemona speaks.
"Kilowattrel!" Nemona calls in worry as the bird along with Garchomp fall on the battlefield. On the battlefield we see the two-mons groaning in pain, but they stand back up as Rinto speaks.
"Garchomp use Dragon Pulse!" Rinto calls. Garchomp lets out a mighty roar and fires out a purple dragon beam from its mouth that heads for Kilowattrel as Nemona speaks.
"Counter with Thunder!" Nemona calls. Kilowattrel sparks its body and sends out a large electric bolt that collides with the Dragon Pulse creating an explosion as Rinto speaks.
"Use Dragon Rush!" Rinto calls. Garchomp covers its body in dragon energy and shoots forward heading for Kilowattrel as Nemona speaks.
"Counter with Brave Bird!" Nemona calls. Kilowattrel glows a shiny blue as it shoots forward and collides with Garchomp creating an explosion. Out of the explosion appear the two mons as they're sliding away from each other. Garchomp manages to stop itself as Rinto speaks.
"Use Stone Edge!" Rinto calls. Garchomp lets out a roar and sends multiple sharp stones at Kilowattrel as Nemona speaks.
"Dodge with Agility!" Nemona calls. Kilowattrel speeds up and easily dodges the sharp stones as Rinto speaks.
"Dragon Pulse!" Rinto calls Garchomp, lets out a roar and sends out a large draconic beam that connects with Kilowattrel creating an explosion as Nemona speaks.
"Kilowattrel!" Nemona calls in worry as out of the explosion appears the bird who's laying on its stomach groaning in pain Rinto speaks.
"Garchomp let's finish this! Use Stone Edge!" Rinto calls. Garchomp roars as it fires multiple sharp stones at Kilowattrel again Nemona speaks.
"Blow them away with Discharge then use Hurricane!" Nemona calls. Kilowattrel lets out a roar as it sparks its body and sends out multiple electric bolts that connect with the sharp stones creating multiple explosions. Kilowattrel continues to roar as suddenly a large Hurricane appears and heads for Garchomp as Rinto speaks.
"Use Dragon Pulse!" Rinto calls. Garchomp roars as it fires out another Dragon Pulse that collides with the Hurricane and creates an explosion as there's now a big smoke cloud covering the battlefield. Inside the smoke cloud Rinto hears Nemona returning Kilowattrel back to its Pokeball then calls for a command.
"Use Drill Run!" Nemona calls as inside the smoke cloud something hits Garchomp's stomach and pushes the mon out of it making the mon slide back a few feet away. Rinto speaks.
"You okay Garchomp?" Rinto asks with the mon nodding as when the cloud of smoke disappears everyone sees Nemona's Orthworm. The crowd have surprised looks on their faces as Jake speaks.
"Nemona's Orthworm has suddenly appeared!" Jake says as Don George speaks.
"Nemona knew that her Kilowattrel wasn't going to be able to take down Garchomp so when the smoke cloud appeared she used that chance to switch out Kilowattrel and send in Orthworm." Don George says with Jake nodding. Back on the battlefield Rinto speaks.
"So, your Orthworm's back I'm not sure why you brought it in but it's not going to defeat Garchomp. Garchomp use Swords Dance then Earthquake!" Rinto says with Garchomp nodding as it sharply increases its physical attack power then stomps on the battlefield causing it to shake as Nemona smiles and speaks.
"Orthworm stay where you are." Nemona says with Orthworm nodding, surprising Rinto along with the crowd as up in the stands Barry speaks.
"Why's Nemona having Orthworm stay still? Once that Earthquake hits it's over." Barry questions as Ash speaks.
"Knowing Nemona she probably has a plan." Ash says with the group nodding as they continue to watch. Back on the battlefield the Earthquake connects with Orthworm and seems like it's causing the mon pain as Jake speaks.
"Looks like Garchomp has landed a super effective attack on Orthworm is it over?!" Jake says while everyone continues to watch as the Earthquake stops. Once the Earthquake is over Orthworm has its eyes closed, the people in the crowd think that Orthworm's knocked out but suddenly the mon opens its eyes and is completely fine. The crowd along with Rinto all have surprised looks on their faces as Jake speaks.
"It seems as though that Earthquake didn't do anything to Orthworm!" Jake says as back on the battlefield Rinto speaks.
"But that Earthquake should've knocked out Orthworm unless…" Rinto says to himself as he realizes something then looks over at Nemona and speaks.
"Your Orthworm does it have the ability Earth Eater?" Rinto asks as Nemona smiles and speaks.
"Yes, that's right" Nemona responds as up in the stands Leaf speaks.
"What's Earth Eater?" Leaf asks as Tracey speaks.
"It's an ability where if Orthworm gets hit by a ground type move they gain health back instead of taking damage." Tracey answers with the group nodding as Misty speaks.
"So, that explains why Nemona had Orthworm not dodge" Misty says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Rinto speaks.
"Darn I should've known." Rinto says as Nemona speaks.
"You shouldn't be too hard on yourself this battle has been pretty intense so it's understandable if you accidentally make the wrong call." Nemona says with Rinto nodding as he speaks.
"Yes, you're right but now that I know your Orthworm has Earth Eater I won't be making that mistake again." Rinto says while having a determined look on his face as Nemona speaks.
"I like that look on your face so let's continue. Orthworm use Earth Power!" Nemona calls. Orthworm lets out a mighty roar and summons a large crack that heads for Garchomp as Rinto speaks.
"Dodge then use Dragon Rush!" Rinto calls. Garchomp easily evades the Earth Power then covers its body in dragon energy and shoots forward heading for Orthworm as Nemona speaks.
"Blow it back with Flash Cannon!" Nemona calls. Orthworm fires out a steel beam from its mouth that goes to connect with Garchomp as Rinto speaks.
"Use Dragon Pulse!" Rinto calls. Garchomp roars and sends out a purple dragon beam that connects with the Flash Cannon creating an explosion. Out of the explosion appears Garchomp who's still heading for Orthworm as Nemona speaks.
"Use Iron Tail!" "Dodge Garchomp and use Brick Break!" Both trainers' call. Orthworm covers its tail in steel energy and goes to hit Garchomp, but the land shark easily evades. Garchomp then covers both of its claws in white energy and hits Orthworm causing super effective damage to the mon. Orthworm groans in pain then looks at Garchomp and opens its mouth as Nemona speaks.
"Use Steel Beam!" Nemona calls surprising Rinto as before he can tell Garchomp to dodge Orthworm roars and fires out a point-blank giant steel beam from its mouth that consumes Garchomp and creates a big explosion as up in the stands Ash speaks.
"What was that?! It looked like a bigger version of Flash Cannon" Ash asks as Tracey speaks.
"Steel Beam is an attack where the user fires out all of the steel energy that it collected from its body, but it also heavily damages the user too. It's said to possibly be the most powerful/strongest steel type move." Tracey says with Ash and the group nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Nemona looks at Orthworm and speaks.
"Great job Orthworm! That had to have knocked out Garchomp." Nemona says with the mon nodding as it has an exhausted look on its face and is panting heavily Rinto speaks.
"Fire Blast!" Rinto calls as suddenly a large blast of fire appears out of the smoke and heads for Orthworm. This surprises Nemona as she quickly calls for a command.
"Orthworm quick use Protect!" Nemona calls but was too late as the Fire Blast makes contact with the mon creating a big explosion as Nemona speaks.
"Orthworm!" Nemona calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Orthworm laying on its stomach knocked out while Garchomp's still standing and panting heavily. Rika makes the call.
"Orthworm's unable to battle Garchomp's the winner!" Rika calls as Jake speaks.
"Looks like Rinto's Garchomp has managed to take down Orthworm!" Jake says as back on the battlefield Nemona returns Orthworm back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. She then puts the ball away then looks over at Rinto and speaks.
"I'm surprised that your Garchomp managed to survive that Steel Beam." Nemona says as Rinto speaks.
"I'm surprised too as because Garchomp really didn't want to lose to Orthworm" Rinto responds with Garchomp nodding, making Nemona smile as she pulls out another Pokeball and speaks.
"Well, the battle isn't over yet. Kilowattrel come out!" Nemona says as she throws the ball forward and sends Kilowattrel back in. Once the mon appears it groans a little in pain then looks at Garchomp who's still panting as Rinto begins to think.
"Both Garchomp along with Kilowattrel have suffered damage from battling each other but out of the two of them Garchomp's in a worst condition after his battle with Orthworm." Rinto says to himself as he pulls out Garchomp's Pokeball and speaks.
"Garchomp return!" Rinto says with the land shark nodding as it goes back in its Pokeball. Rinto then pulls out another Pokeball and speaks.
"Manectric come out!" Rinto says as he throws the ball forward and sends Manectric back in. Once the mon appears it groans in pain but is ready to battle as it looks at Kilowattrel. Rika calls for the battle to continue as Nemona speaks.
"We'll attack first! Kilowattrel use Hurricane!" Nemona calls with Kilowattrel nodding as it flaps its wings fast and sends out a large Hurricane that heads for Manectric as Rinto speaks.
"Manectric get rid of it with Thunder!" Rinto calls. Manectric sparks its body and lets out a roar as it sends out a big electric bolt that easily pierces through the Hurricane and hits Kilowattrel shocking the mon as Jake speaks.
"Manectric's Thunder has pierced through the Hurricane and has now made contact with Kilowattrel!" Jake says as back on the battlefield the Thunder continues to shock Kilowattrel until the move disappears. Kilowattrel has a smile on its face as it then glows green and can feel that the damage it received earlier has healed. Rinto grits his teeth and speaks.
"Of course it has the Volt Absorb ability." Rinto says while having an annoyed look on his face as Nemona speaks.
"Okay Kilowattrel use Acrobatics!" "Manectric dodge!" Both trainers' call. Kilowattrel shoots for Manectric going to hit the mon but it manages to dodge the attack as Nemona speaks.
"Use Acrobatics again!" Nemona calls with Kilowattrel nodding as it turns back around, glows blue and heads for Manectric as Rinto speaks.
"Manectric counter with Overheat!" Rinto calls. Manectric looks at the incoming Kilowattrel and roars as it sends out a big wave of fire from its mouth Nemona speaks.
"Kilowattrel dodge with Agility then hit Manectric with Acrobatics!" Nemona calls with Kilowattrel nodding as when the Overheat is about to hit it the mon speeds up and disappears. Kilowattrel then appears behind Manectric and begins hitting the mon back and forth causing major damage to it. Kilowattrel then hits Manectric one more time and sends the mon flying as it lands back on the battlefield a few feet away creating a dust cloud. When the dust clears everyone can see that Manectric's lying on its left side knocked out Rika then speaks.
"Manectric's unable to battle Kilowattrel's the winner!" Rika calls allowing for Nemona and Kilowattrel to cheer. Over with Rinto he returns Kilowattrel back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Rinto puts the ball away as he pulls out another Pokeball and speaks.
"Garchomp come out!" Rinto says as he throws the ball forward and sends Garchomp back in. Once the mon appears it lets out a roar and groans a little in pain but can still battle as Nemona speaks.
"So, his Garchomp's back." Nemona says to herself as she pulls out Kilowattrel's Pokeball and speaks.
"Kilowattrel return and Quaquaval come out!" Nemona says as she returns Kilowattrel and sends Quaquaval back in. Quaquaval looks at Garchomp with Garchomp looking back. Rika calls for the battle to continue as Rinto speaks.
"Garchomp use Dragon Pulse!" Rinto calls. Garchomp lets out a roar and sends out a big purple draconic beam that heads for Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Dodge!" Nemona calls with Quaquaval nodding as it jumps to the right and avoids the attack. Once it does that Garchomp suddenly appears in front of the mon as Rinto speaks.
"Use Dragon Rush!" Rinto calls. Nemona's unable to call for a command in time as Garchomp lets out a roar, covers its body in dragon energy and hits Quaquaval doing damage to it. Quaquaval groans in pain then looks at Garchomp as Nemona speaks.
"Use Ice Spinner!" Nemona calls. Quaquaval covers its body in ice and spins causing super effective damage to Garchomp and making the mon cry out in pain. Once Quaquaval's done spinning Nemona speaks.
"Use Mega Kick!" Nemona calls with Quaquaval nodding as it kicks Garchomp hard in the stomach with its left foot and sends Garchomp flying as it lands on its back a few feet away. Everyone can see that Garchomp's knocked out as Rika speaks.
"Garchomp's unable to battle Quaquaval's the winner!" Rika says allowing for Nemona and Quaquaval to cheer Quaquaval also gets a Moxie boost. Rinto returns back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Rinto puts the ball away as he pulls out his next Pokeball and throws it forward.
"Slaking come out!" Rinto says as Slaking appears and is ready to battle. Rika calls for the battle to continue as Rinto speaks.
"Use Hyper Beam!" Rinto calls. Slaking fires out a large orange beam from its mouth that heads for Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval kick it away with Mega Kick then use Close Combat!" Nemona calls. Quaquaval nods as its left foot glows and kicks the Hyper Beam upward causing it to explode. Quaquaval then jumps forward, reaches Slaking and begins kicking the mon repeatedly. Quaquaval continues to kick Slaking until it kicks the mon one more time and sends it flying. Slaking lands on the battlefield a few feet away landing on its back and is knocked out. Rika makes the call.
"Slaking's unable to battle Quaquaval's the winner!" Rika calls allowing for Nemona and Quaquaval to cheer again as Quaquaval gets another Moxie boost. Up in the stands Hau speaks.
"And now Rinto has 1 Pokémon left while Nemona still has 4." Hau says as Cameron speaks.
"This isn't looking good" Cameron says with the others nodding while Ash stays silent and continues to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Rinto returns Slaking back to its Pokeball, tells the mon thank you and puts the ball away. Rinto then pulls out his last Pokeball, looks at it and thinks.
"I'm down to my last Pokémon" Rinto says as Nemona speaks.
"Hey Rinto, even though I'm in the lead I hope that you don't get discouraged and start pulling your punches because my Pokémon and I would hate that." Nemona says with Quaquaval agreeing with her. Rinto looks at Nemona smiles and speaks.
"Thank you for saying that Nemona and you don't have to worry about me being discouraged because even though I'm down to my last Pokémon I'm still confident that I can win." Rinto states while having a smile on his face with Nemona smiling too as Rinto speaks.
"Now Gallade, Come Out!" Rinto says as he throws the ball forward and sends in his Gallade. When the mon appears, it has a serious look on its face as Jake speaks.
"Rinto has sent in his final Pokémon and it's a Gallade!" Jake says as Don Geroge speaks.
"It looks strong too." Don George says as back on the battlefield Nemona looks at Gallade and speaks.
"So, a Gallade's your last Pokémon huh? I have to say it looks strong, but it won't be able to take down my other 4 easily." Nemona says with Quaquaval nodding as Rinto speaks.
"You're right the way that Gallade is now he won't be able to but that'll all change in a little bit." Rinto says making Nemona confused as Rinto reaches into his right pocket and pulls out a stone. Nemona looks at it and speaks.
"Is that a Keystone?" Nemona asks with Rinto nodding as he speaks.
"Yes, I was hoping to save this for Ash but you're a worthy opponent so it's only right for me to use this on you. Now! Gallade Mega Evolve!" Rinto says as the light from the Keystone begins to glow and so does the mega stone in Gallade's right hand. There are beams of light that connect with each other and when they connect Gallade lets out a roar as it glows too. Inside the light Gallade begins to change and continues to change until the light fades away. What was once a normal Gallade is no more as taking its place is a Mega Gallade instead. Once Mega Gallade reveals itself it lets out a pressure showcasing how strong it is as Jake speaks.
"Rinto has suddenly mega evolved his Gallade what a surprise!" Jake says as the crowd is left speechless but begins to cheer. Up in the stands the group have surprised looks on their faces as Misty speaks.
"He mega evolved his Gallade." Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"So! Cool!" Leaf says while having stars in her eyes with Cameron, Hau, and Tracey (who's drawing a sketch of Mega Gallade) agreeing with her as Barry speaks.
"Wow I was not expecting this." Barry says as Ash speaks.
"Me neither." Ash says as back on the battlefield Nemona along with her Quaquaval have surprised looks on their faces. A couple seconds later Nemona recomposes herself as she smiles and speaks.
"Amazing! Simply Amazing! I wasn't expecting you to mega evolve your Gallade it looks So Cool!" Nemona says as Rinto speaks.
"Thank you and like I said before I was hoping to use this against Ash but seeing as I'm down to my last Pokémon I figured It'd be best to mega evolve Gallade now." Rinto says with Nemona nodding as she speaks.
"Well then this makes things a lot more exciting. Don't you agree Quaquaval?!" Nemona says with the mon nodding while having an excited look on its face as it looks at Gallade with Gallade looking back as Rinto speaks.
"You seem excited now but once you see Gallade's power you won't be excited for long." Rinto says as Gallade along with Quaquaval get into battle stances. Rika calls for the battle to continue as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval we're attacking first! Use Hydro Pump!" Nemona calls. Quaquaval takes a deep breath and sends out a big stream of water from its mouth as Rinto speaks.
"Get rid of it with Psycho Cut!" Rinto calls with Gallade nodding as it swings out its right arm and sends out a psychic blade that easily cuts through the Hydro Pump and heads for Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval dodge then use Aqua Step!" Nemona calls. Quaquaval nods as it dodges to the right then jumps forward going to hit Gallade as Rinto speaks.
"Gallade dodge and when you see an opening use, Fury Cutter!" Rinto calls with Gallade nodding as it begins to dodge Quaquaval's attack. As Quaquaval tries to hit Gallade the mon is easily dodging until it sees an opening. Gallade's left arm turns into a crimson red and swings it out slashing across Quaquaval's chest. Quaquaval groans in pain as Rinto speaks.
"Now use Psycho Cut!" "Quaquaval dodge!" Both trainers' call. Quaquaval's unable to dodge in time as Gallade swings out its right arm sending out a slash of psychic energy that connects with Quaquaval and creates an explosion as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval!" Nemona calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Quaquaval laying on its stomach knocked out. Rika makes the call.
"Quaquaval's unable to battle Gallade's the winner!" Rika calls making Rinto along with Gallade smile. Up in the stands Cameron speaks.
"Wow Gallade took out Quaquaval easily." Cameron says as Tracey speaks.
"Now that Gallade has evolved it's physical attack power has increased dramatically." Tracey says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Nemona returns Quaquaval back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. She then pulls out another Pokeball, looks forward and speaks.
"Now that your Gallade has mega evolved it's really strong but let's see how it'll deal with this one. Kilowattrel come out!" Nemona says as she throws the ball forward and sends Kilowattrel back in. The bird flies in the air and looks at Gallade with Gallade looking back as Jake speaks.
"Nemona has brought Kilowattrel back out and has now gained the type advantage!" Jake says as Don George speaks.
"I'm guessing that she's going to use Kilowattrel's speed to gain the upper hand on Gallade." Don George says as back on the battlefield Nemona looks at Kilowattrel and speaks.
"Let's do this Kilowattrel!" Nemona says with the mon nodding as it along with Gallade get into battle stances. Rika calls for the battle to continue as Nemona speaks.
"Let's start things off with Hurricane!" Nemona calls with Kilowattrel roaring as it summons a large Hurricane that heads for Gallade as Rinto speaks.
"Gallade use Psycho Cut!" Rinto calls. Gallade nods as its arms glow in psychic energy and swings them out sending out 2 psychic blades that easily cut through the Hurricane. The psychic blades now head for Kilowattrel as Nemona speaks.
"Use Agility to dodge then use Acrobatics!" Nemona calls. Kilowattrel nods as it speeds up and dodges the psychic blades. Kilowattrel glows blue and heads for Gallade going to hit the mon as Rinto speaks.
"Use Disable!" Rinto calls. Just when Kilowattrel's about to hit Gallade the mons right eye glows and disables Kilowattrel's Acrobatics. Kilowattrel along with Nemona have surprised looks on their faces as Rinto speaks.
"Now use Close Combat!" "Kilowattrel dodge with Agility!" Both trainers' call. Kilowattrel's unable to dodge in time as Gallade begin punching/kicking the mon repeatedly with each hit hurting more than the last. Gallade then punches Kilowattrel hard in the face with its right fist then gets its arms ready as Rinto speaks.
"Finish it off with Psycho Cut!" Rinto calls. Before Nemona can call for a command Gallade swings out its arms and sends out two psychic blades that make contact with Kilowattrel creating an explosion as Nemona speaks.
"Kilowattrel!" Nemona calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Kilowattrel who's sent flying and lands on its back a few feet away. Rika sees that Kilowattrel's knocked out and makes the call.
"Kilowattrel's unable to battle Gallade's the winner!" Rika calls allowing for Rinto and Gallade to smile while the crowd cheers. Up in the stands Hau speaks.
"Nice Rinto took out another one of Nemona's Pokémon" Hau says as Cameron speaks.
"And now it's two against one." Cameron says as Tracey speaks.
"If Rinto keeps going like this, he could win but it also depends on what Nemona's final Pokémon is." Tracey says with the group nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Nemona returns Kilowattrel back to its Pokeball, tells the mon thank you and puts the ball away. Once she does that she looks over at Rinto and Gallade then speaks.
"Wow Rinto your Gallade's really strong as it managed to defeat two of my Pokémon with little effort." Nemona says as Rinto speaks.
"Yes, and it'll be the same for your last two." Rinto says with Gallade agreeing with him. Nemona smiles and speaks.
"We'll see about that once I bring out my next one." Nemona responds while holding a Pokeball in her hand as up in the stands Barry speaks.
"Do you guys think she's going to bring Houndstone back in?" Barry asks as Tracey speaks.
"It's possible as now that Nemona lost 4 Pokémon Houndstone's Last Respects move would be even more powerful." Tracey says with Barry nodding. Back on the battlefield Nemona speaks.
"Skeledirge, come out!" Nemona says as she throws the ball forward and sends in a Skeledirge. When the mon appears it lets out a roar. Once it's done roaring it looks at Gallade and has a serious look on its face with Gallade looking back as Jake speaks.
"Nemona has brought in a Skeledirge will it be able to take down Rinto's Mega Gallade?!" Jake says as over with the group Misty speaks.
"So, her final Pokémon's a Skeledirge." Misty says as Tracey speaks.
"Fighting type moves won't have any effect on Skeledirge but Gallade does have psychic type moves that can do damage to Skeledirge." Tracey says as Leaf speaks.
"I wonder what she's planning" Leaf says with the others curious too as they continue to watch. Back on the battlefield Rinto looks at Skeledirge and begins to think.
"That Skeledirge looks strong but with Gallade's speed and power he should be able to easily defeat it." Rinto says to himself as he looks at Gallade and speaks.
"Gallade once we take down Skeledirge Houndstone will be the only one left so let's finish this one fast." Rinto says with Gallade nodding as Nemona speaks.
"So, you think you'll be able to defeat my Skeledirge fast huh? I'm sorry to disappoint you but that's not going to happen." Nemona says as she pulls out her Tera Orb from her pocket. Rinto looks at it and speaks.
"Is that a Tera Orb?" Rinto asks with Nemona nodding as she speaks.
"Yep, because now that we've reached this point it's time for me to use it." Nemona says as she looks at Skeledirge and speaks.
"You ready Skeledirge?!" Nemona asks with the fire croc nodding as the orb begins to glow Nemona speaks.
"Skeledirge glisten bright and blow everything out of your way!" Nemona says with Skeledirge nodding as the orb begins to glow more Nemona gets a serious look on her face and speaks.
"Now! Terastallize!" Nemona says as she throws the orb forward it appears above Skeledirge's head. Skeledirge is then incased in a crystal but then a couple seconds later Skeledirge bursts from it. Skeledirge's body is glistening and on the top of its head is a pink jewel that looks like a heart. Skeledirge opens its eyes and lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave that tries to blow Gallade and Rinto back but they stand their ground. Once Skeledirge is done roaring it looks at Gallade having a serious look on its face as Jake speaks.
"For the first time in the tournament Nemona has Terastallized one of her Pokémon!" Jake says as Don George speaks.
"Seems like we're going to see a battle between Mega Evolution and Terastallization." Don George says as the crowd lets out a cheer. Over with the group they've surprised looks on their faces as Leaf speaks.
"She Terastallized her Skeledirge" Leaf says as Cameron speaks.
"So, that's Terastallization this is my first time seeing it." Cameron says with Hau agreeing with him as Tracey speaks.
"Not only that but that pink heart-shaped jewel on Skeledirge's head showcases that it's Terastallized into a fairy type." Tracey says as Misty speaks.
"This means that Gallade's fighting type moves won't do much damage to Skeledirge, so it'll have to rely on its psychic type moves." Misty says as Barry speaks.
"So, that's why she brought in Skeledirge." Barry says as we cut over to Ash who's silent and continues to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Rinto along with Gallade are still surprised as Nemona speaks.
"I bet you weren't expecting this now huh?" Nemona asks as Rinto recomposes himself and speaks.
"No, I wasn't. I knew that you could Terastallize your Pokémon after watching your battle against Ash at the Mandarin Island Tournament, but I wasn't expecting you to use it in this battle." Rinto says as Nemona speaks.
"Well, my reason for using this now is because you mega evolved your Gallade so I figured I should use my full power too." Nemona responds with Rinto nodding as he speaks.
"I see that makes sense." Rinto says as he continues to speak.
"But even though you've Terastallized your Skeledirge I still believe that Gallade can win." Rinto says with Gallade agreeing with him as Nemona speaks.
"We'll see about that. Skeledirge get ready!" Nemona says with the fire croc nodding as it along with Gallade get into battle stances. The two mons along with their trainers look at each other in silence waiting for the battle to start as Rika speaks.
"Let the battle continue!" Rika calls as Rinto speaks.
"Use Psycho Cut!" Rinto calls. Gallade swings out its arms and sends out two blades of psychic energy that head for Skeledirge as Nemona speaks.
"Blow them away with Snarl!" Nemona calls. Skeledirge lets out a roar and sends out multiple black rings that connect with the psychic blades and easily destroy them. The black rings now head for Gallade as Rinto speaks.
"Gallade jump in the air to dodge then use Air Slash!" Rinto calls. Gallade quickly jumps in the air and avoids the black rings. The top of Gallade's head glows blue as it begins firing multiple slashes of wind at Skeledirge as Nemona speaks.
"Skeledirge use Torch Song!" Nemona calls. The fire bird on Skeledirge's nose becomes a flaming microphone that Skeledirge sings into and sends out a big flaming bird. The attack easily gets rid of all the slashes of wind and heads for Gallade as Rinto speaks.
"Gallade block!" Rinto calls. Gallade quickly brings up its arms and blocks the attack as there's then an explosion. Out of the explosion appears Gallade who lands safely back on the battlefield and looks over at Skeledirge who just got a special attack increase Rinto speaks.
"Gallade run forward!" Rinto calls with Gallade nodding as it begins running forward heading for Skeledirge Nemona speaks.
"Snarl Skeledirge!" Nemona calls. Skeledirge roars and sends out multiple black rings that head for Gallade as Rinto speaks.
"Get rid of them with Close Combat then use Psycho Cut!" Rinto calls. Gallade nods as it starts to easily punch/kick the black rings away. Gallade continues to run forward as it covers its arms in psychic energy and swings them sending out two psychic blades Nemona speaks.
"Torch Song!" Nemona calls. Skeledirge roars and sends out a flaming bird that easily burns through the psychic blades and heads for Gallade as Rinto speaks.
"Dodge Gallade then use Swords Dance!" Rinto calls. Gallade nods as it manages to jump over the Torch Song and sharply raise its physical attack power. Gallade continues heading for Skeledirge as Nemona speaks.
"Use Torch Song!" "Gallade use Disable!" Both trainers' call. When Skeledirge goes to use Torch Song Gallade's right eye glows and disables the move. Skeledirge has a surprised look on its face as Gallade then appears in front of the mon and has its fists ready as Rinto speaks.
"Use Swords Dance then Fury Cutter!" Rinto calls. Gallade sharply increases its physical attack power, covers its arms in red bug energy and begins to repeatedly hit Skeledirge causing damage to the mon. Up in the stands Tracey speaks.
"With each hit Gallade lands with Fury Cutter the moves attack power increases." Tracey says as Hau speaks.
"That means if Gallade keeps going it's going to win." Hau says with the others nodding as they continue to watch the battle, they see Gallade hit Skeledirge again as Rinto speaks.
"Now use Psycho Cut!" Rinto calls. Gallade covers its right arm in psychic energy and swings it sending out a psychic blade that hits Skeledirge creating an explosion as Nemona speaks.
"Skeledirge!" Nemona calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Skeledirge who's sent sliding back a few feet away. Skeledirge's groaning in pain as Rinto speaks.
"So, it can still battle but not for long." Rinto says to himself as he looks at Gallade who nods Rinto then speaks.
"This is the end! Gallade use Fury Cutter!" Rinto calls. Gallade lets out a roar as its arms glow red and jumps forward going to hit Skeledirge with its right fist as Nemona smiles and speaks.
"Sorry but it's not the end yet! Skeledirge use Disarming Voice!" Nemona calls. Skeledirge quickly lets out a charming voice that makes contact with Gallade stopping the mon in its tracks. Gallade groans from the super effective attack as Rinto speaks.
"Gallade get out of there!" "Skeledirge use Lick!" Both trainers' call. Just when Gallade's about to back away Skeledirge quickly sticks out its tongue and licks Gallade causing the mon to stop moving as Nemona speaks.
"Great now use Tera Blast!" "Dodge Gallade!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Rinto Gallade can't dodge in time as the pink jewel on Skeledirge glows intensely. Skeledirge lets out a mighty roar as out of its mouth appears a large beam of fairy energy that consumes Gallade and sends the mon flying. Inside the beam Gallade cries out in pain as the beam sends Gallade past Rinto and collides with the wall behind him creating an explosion as Rinto speaks.
"GALLADE!" Rinto calls out in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Gallade laying on its stomach. The mon is groaning in pain and tries to stand back up but stays down. Gallade then reverts back to its original state as Rika makes the call.
"Gallade's unable to battle Skeledirge's the winner! Seeing as contestant Rinto has no more Pokémon left contestant Nemona is the winner and will move onto the next round!" Rika says as Nemona smiles and speaks.
"YEAH!" Nemona along with Skeledirge (it reverts back to its normal form) cheer as Jake speaks.
"And there it is everyone Nemona has won and is now our second finalist!" Jake says as the crowd lets out a cheer. On the battlefield Nemona runs over to Skeledirge wraps the mon in a hug and speaks.
"Great job Skeledirge I knew you could do it!" Nemona says with the mon nodding as it smiles. Up in the stands Misty speaks.
"So, in the end it was Nemona who won." Misty says as Tracey speaks.
"He may have lost but Rinto put up a good fight" Tracey says with the group nodding as they begin to cheer for Nemona. Back on the battlefield we come over to Rinto who has a surprised look on his face, he can't believe that he lost but then smiles and speaks.
"Oh well." Rinto says as he walks over to Gallade and when he reaches the mon he helps it stand back up. Gallade looks at Rinto and tells him sorry for losing as Rinto speaks.
"It's okay you and the others did great." Rinto says with Gallade nodding as they then hear a voice.
"Rinto!" The voice says causing the two of them to look forward as they see Nemona and Skeledirge running towards them. Once they get close enough Nemona looks at Rinto and speaks.
"That was an amazing battle I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to win." Nemona says with Rinto nodding as he speaks.
"Well as we can see I'm the one who lost in the end but make no mistake the next time we battle each other it won't end the same way." Rinto says with Gallade nodding making Nemona smile as she speaks.
"You got it and I look forward to battling you again." Nemona says with Rinto nodding as the two of them shake hands causing the crowd to clap for them again. Once they let go of each other's hands Rinto speaks.
"Oh, and good luck in the finals." Rinto says with Nemona nodding as she then looks up at the stands and sees Ash. The two trainers look at each other and have smiles on their faces as Don George speaks.
"Let's all give one more round of applause to Nemona and Rinto!" Don George says with the crowd nodding as they cheer/clap for the two of them again. Nemona along with Rinto, Gallade and Skeledirge wave to the crowd then return their Pokémon and begin heading back to the stands. A few minutes later they've made it to where the others are who congratulate them on their battle with Nemona and Rinto saying thank you as Ash looks at Rinto and speaks.
"Rinto I was surprised to see that you evolved your Gallade could you always do that?" Ash asks as Rinto speaks.
"No, as you see a few days ago I went back to Knight Island to train with Wikstrom again and once the training was over, he gave me a key stone along with a Galladite to strengthen Gallade more for the league. I was hoping to use it against you, but it seems like we won't get the chance to battle each other this time." Rinto says with Ash nodding as Nemona speaks.
"Ash, I told you that I'd meet you in the finals" Nemona says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, and I'm excited to battle you again." Ash says as Nemona speaks.
"Me too!" Nemona says happily as after that they then hear a voice.
"Will finalist Ash and Nemona please come to the battlefield!" Jake says as Ash speaks.
"Looks like they want to tell us something." Ash says as Nemona speaks.
"Cool and last one there is a rotten Pokemon Egg" Nemona says as she begins running to the battlefield Ash speaks.
"Hey! Wait!" Ash says as he begins to run after her leaving the others behind as they let out a sigh. A couple minutes later Ash and Nemona have made it to the battlefield and are looking at the stage that has the Orange Crew gym leaders, the 3 Paldean Elite 4 members, Wikstrom and Drake. Drake takes a couple steps forward, pulls out a microphone and speaks.
"I just want to congratulate you two on making it to the finals your journey here certainly wasn't easy for either of you." Drake says with the two of them nodding as he continues to speak.
"Your battle will take place 10am tomorrow morning at Pummelo Stadium it'll be a 6v6 full single battle and I expect you two to give the battle everything thing you got because if one of you win, you'll get the chance to battle me." Drake says with Ash and Nemona nodding, making them both excited as Drake continues to speak.
"That's all I need to say for now make sure you both get proper rest so that you're ready for your battle tomorrow." Drake says with the two trainers nodding as he along with the others begin to leave the stage. The crowd begins to leave too as back on the battlefield Nemona looks at Ash and speaks.
"Ash let's give it everything we got in tomorrow's battle no holding back" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"You got it, and I never hold back" Ash says making Nemona excited as the two of them fist bump then begin to leave the stadium along with everyone else. After that Ash reunites with Misty, Leaf, Tracey and says goodbye to his rivals as the group head back to their room in the Pokémon Center. When they make it Misty speaks.
"Ash congratulations again on making it to the top 2" Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"Yeah, you fought through multiple tough battles, but you finally made it." Leaf says with Tracey agreeing as Ash speaks.
"Thanks guys and the tough battles aren't over yet as tomorrow I'm facing Nemona and after watching her battle with Rinto today; she's grown a lot stronger." Ash says as Misty speaks.
"Well, you along with your Pokémon have grown strong too Ash and we know you can win." Misty says with Leaf, Tracey, Togetic, and Poliwag agreeing with her. Pikachu then lets out a "Pika" agreeing with Misty too. Ash looks at them smiles and speaks.
"Yeah, you're right my Pokémon and I have grown stronger and no matter what Nemona throws at us we'll win!" Ash says he lets out a cheer with Pikachu joining him making everyone else smile as Tracey speaks.
"Do you know what 6 Pokémon you're going to use against Nemona?" Tracey asks as Ash speaks.
"Yep, I've the perfect 6 in mind Sceptile's one of them and as for the other 5." Ash responds and begins to tell his friends the other 5 Pokémon he's using. Once Ash does that, he contacts Prof. Oak and requests to change out his Pokémon with Oak agreeing. When the transfer is done Ash heads over to the beach and trains the 6 Pokémon until it's nighttime. After that Ash returns them, heals them at the Pokémon Center and goes to bed along with everyone else looking forward to tomorrow.
It's now the next day, and it's currently 10am. We zoom in at Pummelo Stadium and see that the stands are full, and the crowd is excited. We come over to the group of Misty, Leaf, Tracey, Rinto, Barry, Cameron, and Hau. They're looking forward to the match too as Jake speaks.
"It's now time for our finalist to appear here they come!" Jake says as out of the hallway appear Ash, Pikachu, and Nemona. Once they appear the crowd lets out a loud cheer as the two trainers go to their sides of the battlefield and have excited looks on their faces. Don George then speaks.
"It's time to reveal the referee for this battle!" Don George says as everyone sees Hassel walking Don George speaks.
"For this battle we have one of Paldea's Elite 4 members Hassel!" Don George says as the crowd lets out a loud cheer causing Hassel to wave at them. A couple seconds later Hassel makes it to the referee spot Ash along with Nemona look at him with Hassel smiling back. Hassel then gets a serious look on his face and begins to speak.
"This is the final battle of the Orange League Tournament it's a full 6v6 single battle with substitutions and whoever wins will be granted the honor of facing the Supreme Gym Leader Drake!" Hassel says with both trainers' nodding as Hassel continues to speak.
"Now will both trainers please send out your first Pokémon!" Hassel says as Nemona looks at Ash and begins to speak.
"This is it Ash we've both experienced a lot on our journey, had a lot of battles and all of it has led up to this battle." Nemona says as she pulls out a Pokeball and speaks.
"Palafin, Go!" Nemona says as she throws the ball forward and sends out her Palafin who's in its base form. The mon has a smile on its face as Ash speaks.
"You're right Nemona we've both experienced a lot on our journey throughout the Orange Islands and I'm going to win this battle!" Ash states as he pulls out a Pokeball and goes to throw it.
"Dracovish, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends in Dracovish. When the mon appears, it has a happy look on its face and is ready to battle. Up in the stands Tracey speaks.
"So, the first battle is between Dracovish and Palafin." Tracey says with the group nodding as they continue to watch. Back on the battlefield Nemona speaks.
"So, Dracovish's your first Pokémon huh?" Nemona asks as Ash speaks.
"Yep, and it's grown a lot stronger from the last time you saw it." Ash responds with Dracovish agreeing and making Nemona smile as Hassel speaks.
"Now that both trainers have sent out their first Pokémon let the battle begin!" Hassel says as Nemona speaks.
"Here I come Ash let's have a Fruitful Battle! Palafin use Hydro Pump!" Nemona calls. Palafin fires out a big stream of water as Ash speaks.
"Bring it on! Dracovish counter it with your Hydro Pump!" Ash calls with Dracovish nodding as it fires out its own Hydro Pump that collides with Palafin's creating an explosion. A couple seconds later the smoke clears and we see the two-mons staring at each other as Nemona speaks.
"This is going to be a fun battle don't you agree Palafin?" Nemona asks with Palafin nodding as Ash looks at Dracovish and speaks.
"Let's do this Dracovish!" Ash says with Dracovish nodding as it along with Palafin look at each other. Everyone watching the battle in the stands or on TV are looking curiously waiting to see who'll be first to call for a command. We then head over to Drake who's sitting on his throne and is watching the battle too looking forward to seeing what Ash and Nemona will do and who will become the victory. Back on the battlefield the two trainers along with their Pokémon look at each other as Nemona speaks.
"Palafin use Aqua Jet!" Nemona calls. Palafin covers its body in water and shoots forward as Ash speaks.
"Dracovish use Dragon Rush!" Ash calls. Dracovish covers its body in dragon energy and begins running forward. We see that the two mons are about to collide as the chapter comes to an end.
