A/N: Another crossover AU! Okay, going to be real, I might insert these every now and then but keep the category the same as it's not all going to be crossover stuff and mainly just focuses on practicing for writing romance for me. I've started doodling some things for this, but it'll be a bit before I post anything substantial on dA as I want to get used to drawing humans well enough again, let alone canon YGO characters. I think I might refrain from doing the drawings in YGO style as...well, it's hard on me and I kind of want to get to developing a style that I can do regularly. So yeah, even canon characters will have slight changes to their designs once I get some good ones drawn up to post. Anyway, welcome to my new hyperfixation: Hazbin Hotel! Obviously, this crossover AU will not be one-to-one recreation because it feels a bit disrespectful to the creator and while the characters are in the roles of the Hazbin Hotel characters, I'm still leaning to their personalities a bit from YGO. Now for the short, it's a bit inspired by a talk I kind of would have liked to see in the show between Charlie and Vaggie (this is not a critique on the show; I LOVED it, but I do wish it was longer but that might not have been possible for Vivziepop and her team to do; I'm not going to pretend to know better; also, I guess since we're talking about Ren, Charlie would not be this explosive in a fight) after the big reveal of Vaggie being a former angel (exterminator; going to be honest, I'm surprised how many were shocked by that reveal because that seemed to be a huge theory since the pilot was uploaded on YT). Okay, I'm rambling. On with the show!

Disclaimer: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. That goes to the respective owner. I only claim OCs. Also, the AU was greatly inspired by Vivziepop's series Hazbin Hotel. Check it out! (Be warned, it's an adult animated musical, so no kids should be watching that.) Oh, guess that also includes spoilers for Vaggie's story (but the series has been out for a month so the secret's been out a while).

Crossover AU (Hazbin Hotel)- Talk to Me:

(Ren's POV)

I was still reeling as soon as we fell out of the portal from Heaven. I couldn't believe it still. Yusei, my boyfriend, was an angel?! No, not just an angel. An exterminator! How did I never notice? Why did he never tell me?! I always told him everything. I never hid that I was the prince of Hell! Did he...did he not trust me? I pushed myself onto my feet and started to head for the stairs.

"Ren, wait!" I heard Yusei call back behind me. "I can explain-" I cut him off.

"Explain what? That I had to hear from that asshole of all people that my own boyfriend hid the fact that he's a God damn angel?!" I yelled. "How long were you going to keep that a secret? Were you even going to let me know?!"

"Yes—no—I don't know!"

"So you weren't going to tell me?"

"I would have, sooner or later!"

"Oh great, that's comforting to know now." Footsteps indicated the others were coming down to see the commotion. "Why would you even keep that from me? I've always been open with you about anything! Even my problems with Dad!"

"I..."

"Well? Were you or were you not? Why hide something this big from me for three years-"

"Because I was ashamed!"

The outburst caught me off-guard, but maybe not quite as much as the reveal from earlier. "You...what?"

Yusei sighed, turning his head down. "I was ashamed. Before, I believed I was doing the right thing. That it was the gods' will to strike the sinners down in each extermination. It was never a problem. At least, not until I realized the full magnitude after I hesitated and was punished for letting a young sinner go. I just wanted to forget my own sins after that and forget what I had caused this place for who knows how long."

"..." I felt a nudge at my side, looking to see the eyes of Blaze looking up at me in concern.

"Ren? Say something, please." His voice was pleading but I still couldn't look at him.

"I...I need to go lay down," I answered, going past him to the stairs. I didn't glance up at anyone as I rushed past them straight to the bedroom. As soon as I got through with Blaze and Light, I slammed the door behind me with my back against it. I slid down with my head in my hands. "What do I do now...?"

A/N: Okay, yeah, bit of a rough note to end on but I'll work on a part two soon enough. Currently rewatching Hazbin Hotel to help with the writing process and gain some ideas...along with listening to the songs. Hey, I can't help it, they're such bops! Anyway, I'll share who fills what roles in the crossover down here.

-Ren = Charlie

-Akefia/Yami Bakura = Adam

-Silas (OC I have yet to mention/shows) = Lute

-Misty = Sera

-Akiza = Emily (because while listening to "You Didn't Know" she was the first to pop up each time)

-Yami Yugi = Alastor (I'd say specifically the S0/early manga version of him; look up Alastor's scenes and tell me that it doesn't fit Yami after)

That's about it. Not sure about who could fill Angel Dust's role as uhhh...well, might have to explain in a DM as I can't quite say what he is. ' But the main problem is since Husk/Angel Dust is a slow burn romance, I can't decide who would fit better in it as I'd like to keep the role with two male characters but if nothing else comes up I'd have to improvise. Anyway, hope you enjoyed it (despite it being mostly full of my ramblings than actual story ^^' I am more like Charlie than I'd like to admit).
