Chapter 33

Sasuke's world slowly come back to him and the memory of the Snake Sannin biting him came to mind quickly. He moved his head up to where he could feel a strange marking now. It wasn't bite marks anymore but a circle with something inside of it. He would have to drag himself out of bed to see it. But for now he would just not worry about it.

Several Days Later

It had been several days since Kushina's return home and Naruto has slowly relaxed around her long-lost mother.

"MOM!" Screamed Naruto as she was being thrown across the yard from her mother's chains.

Kushina giggled at her daughter whining at her being thrown.

"That isn't funny." Growled out Naruto as she slowly stands up as the chains fade away from view.

Zabuza just sits back watching them both. He is lost in thought about his past with the woman that stood before him.

Flashback

A 17-year-old Kushina wonders around Kiri looking around. Her long crimson hair is now long raven locks with her beautiful violet eyes making them pop even more. Zabuza sees her walking home from Mizukage Tower. His black eyes saw her raven locks fly up in the gentle breeze with cherry blossoms flow past her making her softly glow in his eyes.

Without thinking Zabuza walked up to the civilian born woman that caught his eye. "Hello." He said in his gruffy voice.

Kushina looks up to the man that is speaking to her. "Hello." Said Kushina in a soft voice. A gentle smile on her face.

"Are you new to the village?" Asked Zabuza as he leans down a little to get a better look on his face.

Kushina slightly blushes at this. "Yes. I'm not to the village. I come from one of the smaller fisherman villages nearby." She tells him.

Feeling bold he smiles at her from under his bandages. "Would you like to go for dinner with myself?" Asked Zabuza.

Kushina is surprised by this…'Oh my. Should I?' She asked herself as she never been asked out by another man besides her boyfriend back home. "Sure..." She said shyly at him as she looks down playing with her hair. Twisting it slowly around her fingers.

He grinned largely. "I'll take you anywhere you would like to eat." He said as he just got paid and knew he had enough to treat her like a princess.

Kushina's eyes lite up. "Really?" Asked Kushina with stars in her eyes. Zabuza took a step back with a shocked expression on his face.

"Yes. Anywhere you would like." Said Zabuza with a dumbfound look on his face.

"Yay. Could we go for Ramen?" Asked Kushina acting a little childish about her favorite food.

Nodding his head dumbly. Kushina lite up even more and took his arm in between his hands and dragged him off to one of the only best Ramen stands she found in the Hidden village. 'But it would never be like the Ramen back in her own village.' She thought to herself.

This was the first date that Zabuza had where he could tell she was enjoying herself. Truly enjoying herself. "Do you want to be a shinobi Kushina-chan?" He asked her.

Her eyes lit up. "Yes. I would love to be a shinobi. But I'm too old to become one." She told him looking sad.

"Your never too old." Said Zabuza with a smile on his face. "If you like. I would train you." He told her.

Kushina looked at him with wide shocked eyes. "Really?! You want to train me? ME of all people?" She asked him to wonder what was happening. A shinobi from a rival village willing to train her in his village secrets.

"Yes. I'm willing to train you." Said Zabuza with a large grin with on his face.

The night went wonderful. They had a nice chat about everything and anything. He asked her about fishing which she knew about. From being from the Land of Whirlpool. All children at a young age are shown how to fish and take care of themselves out in the ocean as you never know what will happen to them.

"Would you like to have dinner again?" Asked Zabuza as smiles at her with a slight blush on his cheeks.

"I would love to." Said Kushina with a large smile on his face.

"Would you like me to walk you home?" Asked Zabuza as he stood up after paying their bill and as shocked, he was from how much she could eat. He was grateful for having that S-rank mission.

"Sure." Said Kushina as she took his offered arm. They left the ramen stand and he walked her down the dirt street to the civilian side of the village to a nice little apartment building. As they walked, they had a nice little chat about everything and anything.

"Would you like to come in?" Asked Kushina as she smiled up at him.

"Is that alright?" Asked Zabuza as he didn't now if it was okay.

Kushina waved him off. "It will be fine. Come in with for a cup of tea." She told him.

Nodding his head like a clueless fool as he fallows her into her small apartment. It was nice with a small couch with artwork of the sea on the wall and a sea theme tea set sat on her small two chair kitchen table.

"Please have a seat while I make some tea." Said Kushina as she walks past him and into the kitchen as Zabuza sat down at the kitchen table with a smile on his face. He watched her hum and dance around the kitchen as she pulled out a small tin can with jasmine tea leaves in it. The tea kettle sat on the stove slowly coming to a boil. Turning around and smiling at him. She walks over to the table and picked up the tea pot that sat before him.

"You have a beautiful smile." Said Zabuza out of the blue as Kushina looked up at him and softly blushed at his words.

End of Flash Back

"Zabuza-sensei?" Called Naruto as she waved her hand over his face. He leans back slowly blinking looking at the girl that stood before him.

"Huh brat?" Said Zabuza as he was lost in a nice day dream about his past with Kushina. Well his first date with the crimson hair beauty that stood across from him with a smile on her face.

"I was asking if we are going to be training today." Said Naruto as she was growing annoyed now.

"How about you run a few laps and as you run, I want you to work on swinging that wooden sword over there." Said Zabuza as he points to the wooden sword, he made for her to work with.

"SO unfair." Whined Naruto as she stomped off to do as she was told.

Zabuza just laughed as he watched her run off. "Brat needs to get stronger." He said to no one but himself.

"She has gotten a lot stronger since you have taken over her training with the others." Said Kushina as she walked up to him and sat down next to him.

"That she has. But I don't want her to slack off. For there is always someone out there that is stronger." Said Zabuza as he watches Naruto trip over her own feet falling face first. They both laugh as the girl jumps back up and gives them both the bird and takes off running as Zabuza throws a kunai halfheartedly at her.

"Thank you." Said Kushina as she leans her head on Zabuza's shoulder.

His eyes grow large. "For what? I haven't done anything." Said Zabuza in a soft gruffy voice.

Kushina shakes her head. "No you have done a lot for my daughter. I am grateful to you for that. As well…I'm sorry for leaving the way I did back then." She told him looking up into his cold black eyes. Her violet ones looked ready to cry.

"Don't worry about that. It happen so long ago. Anyways I went and tried to kill the Mizukage after you left. So I would have had to leave the village anyways." Said Zabuza as he was trying to cover up, he was truly heart broken by this. About her leaving in the middle of the night with a note. A note that was just her rambling about something he knew nothing about.

"There is something I need to tell you." Said Kushina as she took a deep breath.

"Hey." Said Kakashi as he appeared before the two.

"Kami dammit Kakashi." Growled out Kushina as she was ready to kill the man that stood before her.

"I'm sorry?" Said Kakashi as he held his hands up in the air slowly backing way from the enraged woman.

"Its fine. I need to go to the village. I have to speak to someone." Said Kushina as she stood up and left the two men very confused.

"What just happen?" Asked Kakashi he didn't know what the hell happen.

Zabuza looks up at the silver hair man. "Not cool." He said as he stood up and walked over to where Naruto was laying on the ground panting and about to puke form over doing it once more.

Kakashi just stood there like a fool very confused about everyone that just happen.

Till the next time. Kushina has a secret and Zabuza is part of it. Wonder what it is….
