Soon Rory sees that there's more to Jess than she realized, and it isn't long before their unlikely friendship heats up.

When Lorelai comes to talk to Jess on the porch, he’s already at his wit’s end from being sent from his home, that’s why, when she starts to lecture him he says way more about his life than he meant to. Things change because Lorelai has a better picture of Jess, she’s not going to let him get hurt anymore after everything he’s been through. How does that change things?
