Joining a Familia, and back ground

A/N: I am so surprised with all of the follows, and favs of this story, it is so amazing, thank you all so much. I will continue to try to be more better, and keep giving me info, about the lore, and to see how I can do things going forward. With that all said, let's get this started!

Jaune was standing there, in shock. This was a god?! He always thought that gods were huge, shining majestic even. He didn't think gods would look like a completely normal human, granted, his world has never seen the brother gods, it was crazy!

He can feel something though, that he can't figure out, it is like almost a glow, an energy, a feeling, that tells him, that this woman here is something of divinity. Almost like you can tell someone gives off a feeling of confidence without even showing it, or if someone is regal in nature, or 'other worldly.'

"Umm, hello, tall knight, Jaune are you there?" Said Hestia to him, while Hestia was on her toes waving a hand in his face. That seemed to knock Jaune out of his funk.

"Umm, sorry ma'am I was out of it, I could have sworn Bell said you were a goddess." Jaune said, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. This caused Bell to cringe a little, and Hestia gave a cute pout that reminded him of Ruby a little.

"I am a goddess dang it, just because I don't live in such a fancy place doesn't mean I am not a goddess damn it!" Hestia said pounding on the floor with her foot. Jaune resisted the urge to giggle at her pout, but can see she is legit upset, so he decided to pacify her temper.

"I-I'm sorry, it's just I didn't expect or believe that you are a goddess." Jaune said to her. Both Bell and Hestia looked at him strangely. Jaune saw this and then went to explain himself.

"I expected gods and goddess' to look more divine looking, like glowing, and that I can really feel it, and know that this person in front of me is of divinity, you know what I mean?" Jaune explained himself, and almost instantly pacify their confusion to a look of understanding.

"Ohhhh, ok I see what you mean now, yes a lot of mortals in Gekai, think that the same way when they first encounter a god or goddess." Hestia explained to him.

"Yeah, I was almost the same way as you Jaune, when I first met a god." Bell said to him, making Jaune feel more better.

"You must be from far out of the land to not know what a god or goddess, would feel or look like." Hestia began her explanation. "When we gods descended into the mortal realm, the agreement is we can not use our own divinity type powers. We are very limited to what we can and can not do. We can't use our powers to destroy anything, make it to make us rich, bring back the dead, and any other thing you can think of, of what a god can do." Hestia explained. Jaune was really interested, so they sacrificed, a lot of their powers, just to come down here to the mortal realm.

"Oh ok I see, in order to come down here, you had to essentially become a mortal, to make things fair, and make sure nothing else would get destroyed. And I'm guessing other gods can do more stuff, than others, if I am right. But wouldn't it be dangerous if you all lost your powers, what if one of you die?" Jaune asked her, Bell, and Hestia were impressed with his deduction. This caused Hestia to smile.

"Your right, we did sacrifice our powers, again to make it fair for everyone, and your right, other gods can do other things that most gods can't, like since I am the goddess of the hearth, which is involves home and family. And, if we die down here in gekai, our bodies would instantly heal, and we will return back to tekai, the heavenly realm, but we will not be able to come down to the mortal realm ever again." Hestia explained to him. That caused Jaune to pause.

'They can die like me, their must be rule, if they can die that easily.' Jaune thought to himself.

"There is a big penalty if a mortal kills a god huh?" Jaune questioned getting very serious. This caused Bell and Hestia to perk up, and get serious too. Hestia nods at this, he was right there is a big penalty.

"Yes, there is, it is the biggest taboo, if a mortal kills a god, their life will be a living hell, but when they die, the god can choose to do what ever they want with them, be it imprisonment, torture, eternal servitude, blocked from reincarnation, or sent to the Underworld, where you will truly suffer for all eternity." Hestia said to Jaune. That made Jaune freeze, yeah that would be bad, eternal torture, slavery, yes that is a big no no, so he has to be very careful, with the gods. Even if some can be big jerks. Because they are gods, and with anyone in power, especially like that, they will be petty, greedy, arrogant, and selfish. He will try not hit anyone like them, no matter how much they may deserve it.

"And to answer your question, we can use some of our power, like each god can give a mortal our blessing. It allows mortals like Bell here to get stronger, fight monsters, where not even hundred men could kill. Granted some can be beaten and killed by those without our blessing, but there are those who simply can't be beaten without it. And we can do small miracles, as long as it doesn't effect everyone as a whole, so it isn't that bad." Hestia explained to Jaune. Jaune just soaked it all up like a sponge, so the blessing makes someone stronger, but do they get stronger over time, what is the limit?

"How does your blessing work for getting someone stronger, I doubt anyone can just get it, and be stagnant." Jaune said to her. This made her smile, this boy is shaping up to be someone smart, and knowledge able. He seems very nice, hopefully he will accept to join, and grow the familia more.

"Yes, those with our blessing, is called a Falna, you more you succeed in battle, the more better you get. The Basic abilities, are Strength, Endurance, Dexterity, Agility, and Magic. The more you level up those areas the stronger you become. Once you hit a certain mark, you can level up, you become even stronger, and the gods will give you a nickname, for leveling up. But you will need to do something that can impress the gods, in order for you to level up too." Hestia finished her small teaching.

'So this all works like a videogame but in real life?! I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Should I truly do this, I already died, so I may not be able to go home, I can't contact anyone, I am truly alone here. So, what should I do?' Jaune thought to himself feeling extremely sad, he can't go home, he can't do anything really. He doesn't know how this world works truly, but being an adventurer is the same as being a huntsman in a way. It can be a good life, and maybe he can even find love.

Jaune was brought out of his stupor, with Hestia grabbing his arm gently, she can tell he is processing everything, and it can be a lot to take in. So all she can do right now is be there for him. This made Jaune smile it was like, looking and feeling like his sister, and mother. Gods he misses everyone so much. So he threw caution to the wind, and knelt down and hugged her, surprising both Bell, and Hestia, but Hestia recovered, quickly, she just hugged him back, giving him a motherly hug, which made Jaune truly relax.

After sometime, Jaune then collected himself, and gave them all his dorky smile.

"I will love to join your famila, if you will accept me please?" Jaune asked them. This caused Bell to light up in happiness, and Hestia's eyes to twinkle in pure joy, and launched herself at Jaune, and gave him a bear hug, wrapping both her arms and legs around him.

"Of course you can join!" Hestia said to Jaune in pure joy. "I do mean to ask where are you from anyway, you haven't told us that yet?" Hestia asked Jaune.

"Yeah she's right, you never told us." Bell asked in turn.

That made Jaune freeze slightly, what should he tell them?! Should he be honest with them out right, no, he will tell them eventually when he has better trust with them, and he doesn't want to make them think that he is crazy. Jaune gave a breath.

"I am from a far off village, pretty small and remote, we didn't even have identification over there." Jaune said to them. Bell was about to comment on that, because he knows what that is like, he grew up in a village with his grandpa, it was a nice living, and they didn't really identification for everyone, all like that either. But then Hestia gained a neutral expression.

"That's a lie." Hestia said instantly.

Huh?

"Uh what?" Jaune got nervous at this now.

"One of the few powers gods can still have is we can tell, when a mortal is lying or not, so I will ask you again, where are you from?" Hestia said, she was getting authoritative. Jaune was sweating now, they can tell when someone is lying?!

'Oh man, oh no what am I going to do, they will see me as crazy!' Jaune thought to himself. But then it went away almost instantly.

'Wait, she can tell I am telling the truth, I won't be crazy, but, will they still accept me?' Jaune thought to himself getting sad, again. Bell, and Hestia noticed this, and they can tell, it is really beating him up inside, she felt bad but, she needs to figure this out.

"Please Mr. Jaune, you can tell us." Bell said to him, with Jaune looking up, with hesitance, with Hestia taking his hand, and holding it gently with both hands. "Please Jaune we want to know, I can tell it is painful for you, but, your going to be part of our familia, and we will be family, I want to help you, we want to help you, so please just tell us." Hestia said to him, almost giving him comforting, yet pleading eyes. Jaune felt bad for doing that to them, he was just so scared of the outcome. He is trying to get over what happened to him, but it felt so hard to open up.

But, he will do this, for everyone who died, and who didn't back on Remnant, for his friends, and family. For, Ruby, For Pyrrha.

Jaune then pulled in a deep breath, and then a big exhale. He was preparing himself.

"Ok….I will tell you all." Jaune said to them. This caused them to smile. But then, Jaune held up a hand to stop them from cheering real quick. "But what I am about to tell you two will sound so fabricated, and will sound so unbelievable you will think I am crazy." Jaune said to them. It made them all seem so confused of his confession.

"Ok, we will understand Jaune, so go ahead." Said Hestia, with Bell nodding with agreement. Jaune then gave a slight breath.

"I….am not from this world." Jaune said to them gently.

"…eh?" Both Bell, and Hestia said at the same time.

Jaune finished his explanation, of his home, where he came from, his family, his friends, the issues with his home, how things worked, mostly by his own understanding and knowledge. How the grimm worked, who the Faunus were, and explained what had happened to Beacon, and his time going to Haven. All the way to his death.

"And, the next thing I knew, I woke up, outside of Orario, and the rest is history."

He looked up from a sitting position, and seen the two of them flabbergasted. They couldn't believe this, a different realm/ world other than their own, and their gods aren't there. Dark creatures, soulless, attracted to negative emotions. A person in charge of killing thousands of people. His travels, his guilt, and finally what got them truly was his death.

They couldn't believe it at first but, Hestia knew it was the truth, that, he is not from this world all together.

"G-goddess, Hestia?" Bell looked at her shakily, wanting to know if it is the truth.

"T-t-t-there was no lie, he told the whole truth." Hestia said shakily. Jaune looked down in sadness. He was about to get up to leave. They didn't want him with them, especially with that much heavy baggage.

He felt a body holding him, shaking slightly. He looked to see Hestia hugging him tightly.

"I am so, so sorry Jaune that you had to go through all of that. You gave the ultimate sacrifice for all of those who you love." Hestia said to him, while crying slightly.

"I still did it part of revenge, I realized that before my death, so I feel that I didn't die as much of a hero." Jaune said. Hestia was about to say something, to refute his statement.

"That's not true!" Bell yelled out to him. "Yes you were going for revenge and justice. You still helped others along the way, someone so focused on revenge would not care who got hurt in the process, let alone help them. And, you said it yourself, you realized that you figured out you were doing most of it for revenge. But, you also did it for your friend Ruby, and to all of those who died. So in my eyes you are a hero!" Bell said to him. Jaune's eyes were wide from what Bell said.

"I heard your speech on why you wanted to be an Adventurer, and that has inspired me to be better, and look at heroes differently. It's to help all of those, of who you can save, and keep moving forward no matter how hard things get! You are a hero Jaune, and I will love to have you in this familia!" Bell finished his speech to him.

That broke the dam for Jaune he started crying, and hugged both Hestia, and Bell while crying his eyes out. Bell was just trying to hug him the best he could. He is still very young, and didn't know what to do well. Hestia was holding him with her own tears, but was smiling that Jaune was accepting his sacrifice, and for Bell stepping up for him, and being a true leader, she knows that he could be. They were all crying, and after 10 mins of just holding each other, they broke apart, and Jaune stood tall, wiped his eyes, and gave small smile.

"So, how do we make this official then?" Jaune asked his voice a little strained from crying. Hestia wiped her eyes quickly and perked up with happiness. She then pointed to the bed.

"Take off everything of your upper body, and lay down on your stomach, I need your back to me." Hestia said to Jaune, but Jaune was shaken a little, it felt a little bizarre to do that, he looked at Bell with a questioning look, but Bell just smiled at him, and nodded his head. So Jaune took off all his armor, hoody, and shirt in one go. He didn't want them to see Pumpkin Pete just yet. And, then lied down on the bed, on his stomach.

Hestia climbed on his back and pricked his finger, and gave the ceremony to make Jaune part of her familia. Jaune felt something, he felt powerful, like when Pyrrha unlocked his aura, this was amazing, he felt like he could have stood up to Cinder better, and maybe even win!

Hestia created his status, and she was shocked. "H-h-how, you already h-h-have a s-s-skill?!" Hestia yelled out. Hestia finished her work, by placing a paper on his back, and traced across his back. She got off of him, and handed him his paper, to see his status.

Strength: I0

Endurance: I0

Dexterity: I0

Agility: I0

Magic: I0

Skill: Aura the manifestation of ones soul, acts as a barrier to the bearer, heals wounds, makes one super human, in terms of strength and speed.

Aura amplification: A semblance, represents the person's innate power, their own personal power. Able to boost the aura's of others. Also able to heal others through amplifying them, make them stronger, faster, give energy back, and improves others powers. Can be used on the bearer themselves to boost own Aura, to make them stronger, faster, heal faster, and rejuvenate their own aura.

As long as the aura hasn't 'broken', the bearer can still use Semblance. Can only focus on one, either allies, and others around, or oneself.

Jaune looked at his paper, and seen his skill, well aura was a part of him, so of course it will be a skill. And he finally had a name for his semblance, and he didn't know he can use it on himself! He can truly be a tank, to a juggernaut, as long as his aura is there, he can continue to boost himself and others. It sucks that he can only focus on others to amplify them, but can't amp himself, but he was not going to look a gifted horse in the mouth.

But he looked at his stats, he was disappointed that it was so low. He knows he started out as a terrible fighter, but he has improved a lot since then, heck he may have gotten lucky with Cinder, but, he still won.

"Don't worry about the low level, no matter how strong you were before you will always start at the lowest level. But I am so surprised that you have not one, but two skills!" Hestia explains to him, and was still flabbergasted of this result.

"Ehhhhh, how do you even have a skill?!" Bell questioned.

Jaune looked at his skill again, and seen his aura, then it really clicked for him, then he started explaining.

"Oh yeah, you remember when I told you about aura?" Jaune asked to them, they nodded yes. "If I had to guess, since I already had my aura unlocked, and semblance discovered, it probably went over to become a skill here." Jaune explained. This caused Bell, and Hestia to perk up, and nodded in understanding.

"Now that this is done, what happens now?" Jaune asked them. Bell just smiled.

"Well we need you to sign up to be an adventurer like me, you will get an adventurer advisor, where they will tell you all about the basics in the dungeon, the floors, the monsters, the rules, and much more." Jaune just nodded soaking in the information.

"Ok gotcha, so when do you want to do this, well it's a few hours before the sun sets so we can go right now, and when it is over, we can go into the dungeon, it seems you already have gear, and weapons, so we can get bags before it gets too dark, so we can bring back items, and other stuff we maybe able to find in the dungeon." Bell said to him. Jaune absorbed the info, it was a good idea. They were about to go but, was stopped by Hestia.

"Jaune, I want you to keep your origins a secret." Hestia gave a small order. "If people figure out where you are from, and you have skills like those, they will want to get to you. And you don't want that kind of attention, the gods will believe your story, but others, will just believe your are insane, so please be careful when it comes to this, ok?" Hestia explained to him. Jaune agreed with her.

Hearing that he was from another world can cause a lot of issues, for him, for Bell, and for Hestia. And he will never let this kindness, go to waste, and he will not lose another family!

"I understand Hestia, thank you so much." Jaune gave a smile, and Hestia returned it in turn, and she gave a smirk.

"And be careful by calling a good, or goddess their regular name, without putting a 'lord', or 'goddess in front of it, they will find it insulting for not being treated as gods. That and they can be very petty." Hestia ended. Jaune gave a sweat drop, and chuckled sheepishly. "Got it goddess." Jaune said with honorific this time. Hestia smirked again, almost looking teasingly.

"I usually don't mind it, I try not to be so uptight, but go on you two, get signed up, and be ready for work!" Hestia cheered for them. Both Bell and Jaune nodded with a good smile. As they both left out the church, with the both of them grow to be legends, and heroes .

A/N: Some of the explanations maybe small and convoluted, I was going by the bare minimum, and the stuff that really everyone knows. I made Jaune's aura and semblance into a skill because it makes since, and I remember a story doing that. It's called "Knives, and Shields" but it hasn't been updated in years.

But I do want to ask all of you, what kind of magic should Jaune have, should it continue to be support, or a more offensive role? I am debating on getting a small crossbow, but I am still deciding thank you for reading.

And May God Continue To Bless You All!
