Monterphelia Pt 2
A/N: Hello everyone Robbeyy here again. We last left off with Jaune being hit away from the current battle with Bell and Hestia. And I have been getting comments on Jaune getting a range weapon. Making him have a spear/ javelin, like Pyrrha's. And I will say. That is a good idea, I would agree that a spear is a simpler mechashift weapon. So he can really be more effective.
And I have a thought on how I will do the minotaur fight, and I will make it much more powerful. I will try to make it with Bell and Jaune working together to take it down, so spoilers. And the reason….you will have to find out.
I have to watch some of the anime to give me better references, and please give me info on the novels for how monsters, and skills work for the most part, and I have an idea of what kind of magic I want to give him.
So without a further ado, let's go!
As Jaune was flying through the air all he could think of if Bell and Hestia were ok. That blow felt like he could take a few blows before his aura would even go half way down.
'I know I can take that thing down. Had to get protect Bell, that blow would have really hurt him.' Jaune thought to himself, he was spinning slightly in the air, trying to adjust himself, and trying to figure out a landing strategy. "Crap!" Jaune yelled out, he just remembered something.
"The landing will hurt a lot, my aura will help out but, I will be too far away! Jaune yelled out. He was able to turn himself a little, and noticed something. There was a big plant like monster about to eat some girl who is bleeding. With his position in the air, he can use his shoulder an ram it, He adjusted himself one more time, and reinforced his shoulder with his aura, and even more so with his semblance, he was coming in like a human missile!
A few minutes earlier
Lefyia, a current level two of the Loki Familia. She is an Elf who can perform all of the magic an elf could do. That makes her a very unique being all together. She has golden yellow hair, worn in a long pony tail. At 15 years of age, she is already a level two on the road to be a level three!
She ran with fellow familia mates Tiona, and Tione Hyrute, amazon sisters. While running they didn't think that today would be work for them. They just wanted to enjoy monsterphelia with each other. A chance to unwind and relax, and watch a great show!
It was also a great way for Lefyia to get out of her shell more, and have more confidence in herself. Hanging out, and being friends with Tiona and Tione really helps her. After hearing what's been happening with all of the monsters in the city they sprang into action. Now Tiona and Tione do love fighting a lot, so this was a nice change of pace for them. Lefiya on the other hand was happy to help but felt inferior here.
They approached a big court yard with other street venders, slowing down when they seen that Ais is cleaning up all of the monsters that were loose at the moment. With fluid motion, and ease of ending the monsters, they knew they didn't need to do anything. Lefiya finally caught up to them, and looked with slight awe, while panting to catch her breath.
"Ais really is amazing isn't she?!" Lefiya said in utter awe. To see the person who she looked up to the most, defeating enemies with such ease was a sight to behold.
"It's too bad though. We couldn't get a chance to fight!" Tione complained slightly. Her sister followed up, with her own slight disappointment.
"Well, all we can do is leave it up to Ais today huh?" Tiona also voiced her complaints slightly, relaxing a bit now walking over toward Ais, believing that is all the monsters that escaped. Lefiya still just smiled relieved.
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea to me." Lefyia said to them. "I mean we didn't even bring any of our weapons with us today. I wouldn't be able to fight much without my staff anyway." Lefyia finished. She wasn't really skilled with close combat, so she felt that she couldn't have done much anyway. As she finished talking she crumbling, coming to her right. She looked over to see some kind of tentacle pierce out through the stone ground.
The tentacle looked plant like, and almost metallic even. The civilians started to run away, and screaming along the way. Tiona and Tione ran towards Lefiya to prepare for a fight.
"What the hell is this thing?!" Tione questioned out loud getting into battle.
"I don't know where did the Ganesha Familia find these things?!" Tiona questioned out loud.
"We need to attack this thing now!" Tione yelled out getting into the groove of things. "Lefiya start chanting, staff or not, we do need your magic in any way!" Tione yelled out to her.
"R-right." Lefiya said to them backing up as far as possible to have enough room to start her chant.
Tiona and Tione ran into action to attack this creature. Said creature's bulb locked onto them and sprang itself forward to try to hit them. The sisters jumped into the air dodging the attack, the monster hit the ground causing a small crater. The sisters used gravity, and came down on the monster hard.
They both punched the monster, pushing it into the ground, causing a bigger crater. The blow made a metallic noise. The girls jumped back with slight pain. This was going to be harder than they thought.
They landed away from it grimacing, and rubbing their fists. That thing was hard!
"What is this stupid thing made of?!" Tiona cried out, frustrated with the lack of damage that they can do.
"We could really use our weapons right about now!" Tione yelled out. As she yelled this out the monster tried attacking by sliding below them, they quickly dodged by jumping in the air again.
Lefiya watched in worry seeing the two of the top strongest familia members struggling with this monster. But her face became determined, she had a job to do!
'Even without my staff, I can still make quick spells without damaging the streets. I can make it powerful enough, and quickly enough to cast a powerful enough spell.' Lefiya thought to herself starting chant now.
"Here my call. Unleash this streak of light. Arrow of the holy tree thou art. Master of bow. Fire at the on true elven archer. May your arrow fly straight, and strike deep-" Lefiya was finishing her chant, when all she could was stop.
The monster was locking onto her now! Lefiya could only stop in fear
'This monster can sense my magic!' Lefiya thought to herself in utter shock. Next to her, and her magic circle, the ground yet again started to crumble, and out shot another part of this monster! It sliced her side open, and launched her into a stall
"Lefiya!" Tiona yelled out to her friend. Lefiya coughed up some blood due to the spot she was hit at. She couldn't move due to the force of the blow, and the pain.
"Lefiya, no!" Both sisters cried out. But before they could run over to help their friend, they turned to see this plant monster open up it's bulb to seem like it bloomed into a flower, with what looked like a Venus flytrap.
"What in the." Tione questioned out. She nor her sister never seen a monster like this one yet. "It's a freaking flower?!" Tione questioned out incredulously.
The monster started to open up it's 'mouth' to expose what looked like teeth, almost human like teeth. Then vines from around the body started to unwrap from it and stated attacking the sisters. They tried to get away to fight better, but the vines kept keeping them occupied.
The monster seemed to be going near to Lefiya.
"Let us go! Lefiya you have to get up please!" Tione yelled out. But Lefiya couldn't move her body. Due to again the pain, and the force of the blow.
'I-I can't move.' Lefiya thought to herself. Her eyes were closed trying to fight back the pain. She then opened them to see this monster to now be opening up both mouths now, making a small roaring noise about to eat her!
'But, I must get up, I have too!' Lefiya thought to herself again trying to find her strength.
"GET UP LEFIYA!" The sisters both yelled out to her. Trying to stop this monster desperately. The monster slowly crept it's way toward her and all she could do is lay there.
'I know…she will come for me. She always comes when I or any of us needs help. Ais!' Lefiya thought to herself. Desperate to have her hero come to save her with tears slowly coming to her eyes.
She then heard the monster cry out in pain, as she seen a body, collide with it. The monster seemed to writhe in small amounts of pain on the ground. The body landed on the ground rolling a little, and shaking slightly. He slowly got up, and walked over to the monster, he noticed how damaged it was due to his sudden strike.
The monster didn't prepare for the impact so it couldn't take the hit properly. The figure held his left shoulder, and his way to the monster. What Lefiya was also shocked a curious of, was this person seemed to glow slightly. The person picked up a small broken lamp post nearby and stabbed the creature, in what seemed like the head.
The monster cried out briefly, and fell silent, and dissipated turning to ash. The figure stood there gasping for air, and leaning on the makeshift weapon. He turned around to look at the injured girl, with concerned eyes.
All Lefiya could do was look wide eyed at this new stranger. He was tall, Blonde. Had blue eyes almost like hers, but slightly lighter. He started to glow again, which again shocked her. Was he using magic, if so what kind?! It's so rare to see such magic with little words! She has only seen Ais use it.
She never seen him, or heard of him before. At least she doesn't thing she did. But then his eyes turned to relieved, but still concerned. He still seen blood on her.
"H-hey are you ok can you get up at all?" The person questioned Lefiya. She just laid there still. In truth she couldn't get up on her own right now. The guy just chuckled to himself slightly.
"I know stupid question, probably can't. Come on let's get you up." The young man said to her. He walked over, while still grimacing slightly. He was a lot better than before, and that again made her eyes widen. He reached out to her body, and picked her up bridal style and sat her down away from the stand. She was still in a lot of pain and he seen it. He gave a small smile to her.
"Hold on, let me help." The guy said to her, his voice still a little shaky. He reached out, propping her up, and started glowing, and then she started to glow. She was about to say something when she felt…warm.
It was like being hugged by her mother or father. Feeling the love of someone dear to you, holding you. And, the warmth of a comfortable blanket on a cold winter's day. Wrapped up in it, and sitting by the fire place. It truly felt amazing. She felt her energy returning, and her wound healing. After a few seconds, her wound closed, and she felt much stronger than before. And felt that she could take out any monster from the 20th floor by herself. She eventually stood up, feeling much better.
The guy was still on his knee breathing slightly. He started glowing again, probably trying to heal himself. Lefiya broke out of her shocked state shook her head slightly, and started talking to her rescuer.
"U-umm, thank you so much for saving me, I thought I was going to die." Lefiya thanked him, bowing a little. She was truly grateful to him. The young man just looked at her laughed a little, and just smiled at her.
"It's all good, I am just glad that I managed to get launched in the right direction at the right time." The guy said to her while smiling. This caused her to smile at him. He was a nice guy, and didn't care about using his magic on her. The moment ended when hearing two voices, but three pairs of foot steps heading towards them. They both looked back to see the Hiryute siseters, and Ais Wallenstein run up to them. All showing concerned.
"Lefiya, are you ok, your not too hurt are you?" Tiona questioned looking her over slightly. Lefiya just giggled slightly, and smiled at her friend.
"Don't worry I am fine now." Lefiya said to them. "In fact I feel so much stronger now, thanks to that healing, this guy did for me." Lefiya finished looking at Jaune. The girls looked down to see the guy still on his knee, and slowly rising up now. He finally stood at his full height, and seen that he was fairly tall, taller than Bete by a little bit. The girls were about to thank him properly, but Tiona froze a little.
"Wait a minute, Jaune?!" Tiona yelled out in shock to see the guy she came to see as her friend. To her shock the most, to figure out that he is a healer too! Jaune just looked at her, and smiled happily at her, it was good to see another friendly face.
"It's good to see you again Tiona. Just wished it wasn't during a crisis." Jaune said to her, giving a smile, yet a little strained. He was still very sore. The monster was far stronger than him that much he can tell, very painfully. He then felt a strong push on him, and a pair of arms wrapping around him.
"Oh it's so good to see you again Jaune!" Tiona yelled out actually lifting him slightly, and waving him about. "And you came in at the last minute! It's like seeing a real hero in action! Ohh I am so glad to see you again!" Tiona yelled out, now squishing Jaune harder in her embrace. Tione, Lefiya, and Ais looked on with slight confusion. But, Tione was just giggling softly at her sister, and Ais just tilted her head in confusion. Lefiya just stood there frozen, seeing how Tiona was acting, and to see how happy she was to see someone outside of their own familia. But they noticed that Jaune started to turn blue slightly.
"I-it's good to…see you…too…Tiona…but….your crushing me." Jaune said with a strained look, now turning blue. Tiona realized this and let him go. Jaune was just gasping for air, hands on his knees desperately trying to get his breath back. He didn't put up his aura, so crushing the ribs was happening, and Tiona just rubbed the back of her head, and laughing sheepishly.
"Uhhh, hehe, sorry about that Jaune." Tiona said to him, feeling guilty of going too far. "It's just that I am so grateful to you of saving my friend here, and seeing you again." Tiona said to him earnestly
"And I am so glad you found a familia, you wouldn't have been able to defeat that monster!" Tiona praised him, almost being a fan girl, for how he saved her. Jaune just laughed a little at this.
"Hey it's no problem, I was launched by this giant gorilla thing, looked almost silver, or grayish. I was protecting my other teammate in my familia. It was a good thing that monster was in my path." Jaune said to her, but still rubbing his shoulder slightly. "It was probably way stronger than me, felt like I almost broke my shoulder." Jaune finished still grimacing slightly.
The girls perked up at that, wait that is true.
"Your right, you just became an adventurer." Tione said to him. "It hurt my sister and I's fist just from punching it, and we are level 5s. Your shoulder should have shattered from that, and not have done any damage." Tione said to him with her hands on her hips. That caused the others to widen their eyes in shock.
It was true, a level 1 like him shouldn't be able to even nudge this monster, how was this guy able to seriously damage that thing.
Jaune froze at that. What was he going to say, he knows that his aura and semblance is supposed to be a secret, but he felt that he could trust these girls in front of him. At least Tiona. Jaune just took a breath, ok time to spill the beans.
"The truth is, I have a skill that essentially reinforces me to make me stronger, faster, and more durable. It kind of works like a force field, I got it when I first got my falna." Jaune used a half truth of course. He can't say, 'oh you know it's an ability anyone can get from my world, you just got to unlock it, oh and did I mention it's essentially your soul protecting you.' Yeah he can't say that, they wouldn't believe him, and declare him as crazy.
The girls looked at him in shocked wide eyes. That is extremely rare for someone to get a skill by just getting a falna! And not only that, he has magic to heal himself and others! That is just about unheard of! And Lefiya decided to make her point.
"B-b-but that is impossible, almost no one has ever had magic too!" Lefiya spoke her mind, with the others just as shocked. Jaune just tilted his head confusingly.
"Magic?" Jaune questioned. That caused all of them to look at him incredulously, was this guy stupid or something?!
"THE HEALING YOU JUST DID FOR ME AND YOURSELF, AND EMPOWERING ME!" Lefiya yelled out, making Jaune turn sheepish. He rubbed his head sheepishly, he finally caught on.
"OHHH that! Hehe, no I don't have magic. You see my skill also branches off into something else entirely." Jaune said clearing the air, the girls just looked on shocked still, but eager to figure it out.
"I am able to amplify myself and others. I can only well, heal or boost others one at a time so far. I can't amp myself and others at the same time. The skill is called 'Aura' for some reason. And it acts like a force field in a way, so I was able to reinforce myself to do any damage to that monster. It can make others stronger, faster and more durable if I can boost them." Jaune finished his explanation.
Jaune was kicking himself for giving so much info about his 'skill', but he saved their lives, and with so many witnesses, he can't hide it. And he didn't want to lose his first friend he met here, and potentially new ones. The girls continued to look on with disbelief.
'I knew I should have gone with the initiative, and requested him to join our familia when I had the chance!' Tione shouted to herself. This guy was a walking healer, that didn't need to use magic to heal, or empower them. It was crazy!
Ais, Tiona, and Lefiya kind of had the same thoughts. Ais wanted to become stronger quickly. Tiona thought he was just really cool, and wished they were in the same familia. And Lefiya was frustrated that this human can do something that higher levels can do. But, her thoughts were broken, hearing the name Jaune. She thought of it for a while, and her eyes lit up.
"Wait, Your Jaune Arc?! The Inspiring Rookie Knight?!" Lefiya yelled out. That caused Tiona's eyes to lit up in joy and awe. But also mentally slapping herself. She can't believe that she didn't put and two together! This is the only Jaune Arc she knows, and she hasn't heard any other names as of yet.
From what her sister told her, his speech about being an adventurer, and a hero. Even though, it sounds childish, and impossible, his words ignited a flame under many adventurers. Some of them started to again be more charitable, getting stronger to make themselves better, and supporting their familia mates a lot more. Both sisters have witnessed this, and smiled at that.
They were both glad that, people wanted to better themselves. And it didn't help that some people were writing down part of his speech, to read, and motivate them for their dreams. She was in the presence of a true hero in her eyes. And she couldn't be happier.
Ais' eyes opened wide herself. She heard of it somewhat, but never paid attention to it, due to her being in the dungeon majority of the time. She has started to hang out, and just being with her friends now. She heard things here and there, and was inspiring to her. The boy in question just looked confused with all of this.
"I am called what?" Jaune asked in shock. Lefiya just looked at him.
"How can you not know, you're the one who made that amazing speech!" Lefiya yelled out flabbergasted. She was so shocked that Jaune hasn't heard that he was this big upstart. Heck it even inspired her to start to be better. She already started to learn the basics of concurrent magic! Jaune just looked shocked as her.
"People are talking about me of what I said?" Jaune said to himself but they all heard what he said, it was crazy. "It's probably because my familia is so small right now, and we are usually alone in the dungeon and we don't go to a lot of places we don't hear about it." Jaune said looking sheepish. Lefiya was about to say something, but thought about what he said about his familia being small.
That made sense, something like a small familia news won't reach them so well, and not going out to places either didn't help. Tiona decided to say something.
"Yeah, those who read, or listen to your words really inspired them. And I am one of them. It really made my heart soar!" Tiona said now hugging Jaune. This caused Jaune to blush, because sure it was friendly, but he could feel the pure affection from it. It was like when Pyrrha would hug him. He finally realized the emotion behind her hugs, it was love. And he would usually feel that from Ruby. But that was more closer towards the Vytal Festival, and while they were traveling to Mistral.
He noticed how her hugs felt deeper, and longer. True she was doing it because she needed comfort for losing Pyrrha, her team, and Penny, and for him. But, now that he had time to think about it too. It was affection, for him. He truly was dense was he.
"W-well I'm glad that I was able to inspire you all, it was just the truth, and how I felt." Jaune tried to sound humble, but he kept blushing. Causing Tiona's sister to giggle at this, and Ais had a small smile, and Lefiya looking to the side blushing, she couldn't face him right now.
But before anyone could say anything else, they all felt the ground shake again. That caused all the blushing and embarrassment to fade, and concern and battle readiness to bloom in them, they all got in a battle faze seeing that three more of those plant monsters sprouting out of the ground!
"Oh come one, there's more of them?!" Tiona complained, getting ready to fight again. Ais had her sword drawn about to charge in without a moments notice, but noticed Jaune holding his arms out.
"Wait let's not charge in just yet, you all couldn't put a scratch on one of them, with three more here the odds are even worse." Jaune said to them in the utmost seriousness. This caused the girls to freeze at his commanding voice. It reminded them of their captain, Riveria their vice-captain, and Gareth, their essential third in command. They decided to listen.
"Who here is the quickest?" Jaune questioned. He didn't know who had strengths in what.
"My magic makes me swift, with air." Ais said to him, keeping her eyes on the plants.
"Ok got it, keep on the move, deal blows where you know you can hit, and get out of there quickly, these things are almost metallic with how hard I hit it." Jaune said to her. But he wasn't done there. "Keep low if you have to, if it's a plant it's roots are probably the weak point." Jaune said to her.
"But if you must focus on the top keep those vines, and tentacles distracted. I only say this because I don't who here is brute force to focus on the bottom of these things." Jaune said to them. That caused the sisters to perk up.
"Me and my sister are able to deal serious damage, our fists may have been hurt by that things hide, but we can still do something." Tione said to him, with Tiona nodding in agreement.
"Alright good you two take any big shots on the base of these things, and see if you can take out any stray vines, give Ais here some breathing room so she can keep moving." Jaune said to them still planning.
Lefiya just stood there shocked. This new adventurer taking charge like this, it was crazy, it was shocking, and it was welcoming. To see someone take charge like this, and not panic was amazing, and inspiring no wonder people were able to feel a fire ignited in them hearing, and reading his speech.
He was taking risks, so now was she, she needed to do something, and she felt that she can do it now since she is healed and amped!
"Ummm, I can do magic, and I have a spell that can end this quickly, but I need time to cast it." Lefiya said with Jaune turned to her focusing. "But, I noticed something about these things. They can sense me using magic, and seems to be attracted to it. So I will need to be protected." Lefiya said to them.
That caused all their eyes to widen.
'Crap, if this thing focuses on magic, then she will be targeted the most, need to think further, wait maybe?' Jaune thought to himself. But then turned to Ais.
"Ais can you use your magic quickly, by turning it on and off rapidly?" Jaune asked, causing Ais to look at him a little confused but then, her eyes widened, she sees what he wants to do!
"Yes I can, but it will take a few seconds to reactivate it." Ais said to him.
"Ok good, use it when you see these things focusing too much on her, hit and run, and make them chase you the best you can." Jaune said to her.
"And one more thing all of you." Jaune said to them, with them all glancing at him. "Don't try to do this all on your own, all of us are a team, we look out for each other, call out blows if you can, we can do this girls." Jaune said to them, giving advise that granted they already know, but being reminded is a good thing, especially with someone outside of their familia. But Tione asked the biggest question on their minds right now.
"But Jaune, where will you be at?" Tiona asked. Everyone there was confused too, what will he be doing here? Jaune looked around briefly, and he could see some people still hiding.
"I will do a few things, I will escort people out of here who didn't escape in time, I can't really fight back without a weapon at this point if your fists hurt just by punching it, my hand will break. I can act as a distraction here and there, make them focus on me while all of you could deal blows to them. And I will amp if you need it." Jaune said to them saying what he was going to do.
The girls widened their eyes again, he was a good strategist. It may seem basic, but in the heat of battle, even the simplest plan can be complicated, and well thought out. They were liking him more and more. And Tione is really kicking herself now for not recruiting him when she had a chance. Tiona, felt that he is her new best friend, who made her heart flutter a little. Lefiya admired him for his quick thinking. She felt that they could do this! And she blushed at Jaune's conviction a little, it was like Ais!
The monsters 'heads' started to 'bloom', they quickly went overt the plan in their heads, they were ready to fight.
"Alright girls lets go!" Jaune yelled out
"Right!" The girls besides Ais, yelled out, Ais just hummed and went into action.
Lefiya hanged back and started chanting.
'I have to get this done quickly, Jaune seems strong for a level one, but he won't stand a chance if he's hit, I could barely move when I was hit, and I'm a level 3!' Lefiya thought to herself.
Jaune quickly ran to a stand to pick up a girl who was hiding behind it, Jaune quickly grabbed her, causing the girl to yelp in fear, fearing that the monster grabbed her, but she looked over her shoulder to see it was a human, and she calmed slightly. Jaune ran over to an entrance to an alley way, out of the area. Jaune put her down and gave her an order.
"Follow the path out, and tell any adventurers you see that there are monsters in this area, stay safe, and tell everyone to stay indoors!" Jaune ordered her, and he ran back into the fray. The girl was about to say something but Jaune already ran. The girl just nodded to herself and ran.
Jaune ran back in, and seen an all iron pan, and quickly grabbed one. Anything is a good weapon, for him to fight, this thing can really hurt him, with him attacking. He looked on and seen Tiona and Tione attacking the base of the monsters bodies. But then Jaune got an idea.
"Tiona catch!" Jaune yelled out, Tiona looked over, as Jaune threw over an iron frying pan. Tiona just smirked, and gave a yelled, and strike a tentacle, it caused the tentacle to dent badly, and essentially 'broke'. The monster yelled out in pain. The pan was good for another hit, but only one. Due to a very strong level 5, it didn't stand a chance.
"Sis, I got weak point!" Tiona yelled to her sister, and her sister looked over and saw the wound, she immediately ran over, jumped up, and gave a big axe kick to the area, and the tentacle came off, not only did it come off, it went off at the root of the body. The monster once again screamed in agony. Jaune saw this and had an idea.
"Tiona, Tione, get over here real quick I see a weak point now!" Both girls jumped over to him. "That spot you destroyed, it's bleeding a lot. And look, it isn't armored. I have an idea, I am going to boost the both of you, and attack that area the best you can!" Jaune said to them.
The girls just nodded and Jaune put his hands on their shoulders. He started activating his semblance, and amping them up. The girls felt powerful, and a comforting warmth. Like a comfy blanket, and they felt so strong they can rip this thing apart. Jaune finished, and gave a smile to both of them.
"God get em ladies!" Jaune yelled out, the girls just smirked and ran towards the monster. They moved so fast that it was like Ais' wind magic making her faster, and the other tentacles couldn't hit them. They gave a huge punch to the area, making the monster tip over, it looked like the 'stem' was broken and bent.
"Ais, now your chance! Take out the one that is severely damaged!" Jaune yelled out. Ais just nodded, and used the wall as a spring board to and dived forward with her rapier like sword, she pierced it's head, and the monster just disintegrated. She smiled at their team work. But she was hit aside by tentacle, she cursed herself for not being aware, rookie mistake! She managed to get up and use her tempest in short intervals to move around. She had to give Lefiya more time!
As Lefiya was watching them take out one of them. She mentally cheered for them doing it, but she knew that she needed to focus more.
'Almost done, just a few more words!' Lefiya said to herself, she seen a few tentacles heading her way, they were focusing on her now, she was about to pause again, but she seen Jaune once again, hit it, but this time with a frying pan? She was confused at that.
"The tentacles are a lot less harder, so glad I grabbed this." Jaune said to himself, he looked at Lefiya a little to make sure she was ok. "I hope that spells almost done, the monsters seem to be going frantic, I think they are desperate!" Jaune yelled out, hitting the same tentacle again.
Lefiya just nodded she continued.
"She really is going at it, that spell really takes a long time, but the longer it is the more powerful I guess?" Jaune said. Tiona and Tione landed in front of Jaune with Ais too.
"It sure is, that is a spell only Lefiya can do!" Tiona said.
"Thousand Elf is her title, She can duplicate any spell, usually only of the elven variety!" Tione said too. This caused Jaune to look at Lefiya with widen eyes.
"Holy crap." Jaune said to himself. 'If she can do all of that she could be almost unstoppable!' Jaune thought to himself. The monsters were about to attack again. But the three girls sprung into action, with Jaune running to the side, being a distraction to best of his abilities.
'I am almost done, I am not afraid, I am not afraid!' Lefiya mentally yelled out. 'There is someone I want to protect, and with that I will help her, and I will catch up to her! Isn't that right Jaune, your words helped me, and we will be better?!' Lefiya mentally yelled out a second time.
"Storm of snow and three bitter winters! My name is known as Alf! I call Wind Fimbulwinter!" Lefiya finally yelled out, with everyone getting out of the way quickly. The monsters were frozen solid! Jaune took the opportunity to smash any of them, he didn't know if they would break out. Jaune ran over and punched one, and the one exploded. Jaune was about to go after the last one but, he seen that the other one fell apart already.
Jaune just started breathing to catch his breath and seen the girls celebrating with each other, all of them praising Lefiya for taking them all down. Jaune just smiled at them, but his smile was also sad. All he was was Team RWBY and his team. Gods he misses all of them so much. Jaune was about to leave and go find Bell, but he felt himself to get tackle hugged by Tiona. He hit the ground with confusion, worried that he might have done something, that was until he heard her giggling and praising him
"Jaune, you did amazing as well. You're a level one and you were able to damage that thing!" Tiona yelled out, squeezing him a little tighter, while rubbing her face into his hood. "Your plan was great! We barely had any damage, and your skill is amazing, we were healed and empowered, thank you so much!" Tiona ended giving him her praise. Jaune felt the genuine gratitude from this woman, and love in the hug, it was so much he felt that he was going to cry from tears of joy. His plan was great, and he protected and helped everyone. It was almost overwhelming. First his words inspiring others, and now this. This, is why he wanted to be a huntsman, and an adventurer!
He wanted to protect, and inspire, and his dream was being realized, he could weep right now.
'Thank you so much, Pyrrha, everyone for believing in me so much. I will continue to get better, I swear this as an Arc!' Jaune mentally yelled to himself.
"Come on Tiona get off him." Jaune heard Tione talking to her sister. Jaune felt Tiona let go of him, and she stood up, and he followed.
"She is right Jaune, your plan was great. Very simple but great. We wouldn't have thought to attack the middle of the monster using hit and run tactics. And having Ais, be conservative on magic to distract it, was amazing." Tione complemented him. "Thinking of it now, I doubt the plan wasn't so simple." Tione ended with a thoughtful look, and a happy smile, Ais, and Lefiya stood next to her smiling at him, and nodded in agreement.
Jaune looked bashful, rubbing the back of his head. This caused some of the girls to giggle a little, they thought of him being bashful cute. Jaune was about to say something, until he heard a voice coming toward them.
"Alright, you all did great, but I'm afraid things aren't done yet." Loki said walking over with another sword, one that Ais would use. She tossed said sword to Ais which she catches.
"Ais I need you to clean up what ever monsters are left, Tiona, Tione. I'm sorry for asking you this, but, I need you two to check out the sewers, don't want anything getting out." Loki said. Tiona and Tione both agreed and ran off, with Tiona looking back at Jaune, and winked at him. That caused Jaune to blush slightly.
"Lefiya, I don't want you pushing yourself too hard, so just in case, go get checked out by the guild medics, ok?" Loki ordered her. Lefiya hesitantly agreed. She didn't want to leave Jaune, and Ais alone, but she felt that she could do it. She agreed, and turned to Jaune smiled a little, and bowed slightly to him. A final thank you to him, she hoped to see him around again. Jaune just smiled and nodded to her, saying 'your welcome.' Lefiya left the area to the guild.
Loki then looked at Jaune, and opened her eyes slightly sizing him up.
"So….your shrimp's newest child." Loki said to Jaune. Jaune just looked on, a little stiff, he hasn't really talked to any other gods yet, and it felt a little uncomfortable. He was about to question her, when she said shrimp. But then he remembered how short Hestia is. And he never said it out loud, and he was confused to see Loki as a woman.
"Ummm, yes I am, Jaune Arc, goddess." Jaune introduced himself to Loki. Ais never left yet, she was looking between Loki and Jaune, curious to see how this will go. Loki got close and inspecting him, Jaune leaned back slightly.
"Uhhhh, is there something wrong?" Jaune asked really confused and slightly uncomfortable.
Loki looked on with a teasing smirk, and her eyes slightly opening with her eye color red.
"Well I got to say, she did get a cute enough child, it's a shame that my familia couldn't get to you first. Any chance that you would want to change familia's?" Loki asked Jaune. Ais, and Jaune widened their eyes at that. Ais knew Loki was direct at times, but not this direct! Jaune had to get his bearings about that. He needed to be firm, but polite. He steeled himself and then spoke.
"I'm sorry goddess but I'm going to have to decline. I am really happy with my familia right now. We may not have a lot, but we always find happiness, and we always look out for each other, I am glad to have her as my goddess, so again, I am sorry, I will have to decline your request." Jaune said to Loki. Time traveling through the world going to Mistral, and Leadership classes, taught him how to be diplomatic for the most part, but sadly he really picked it up, after Pyrrha died. He was so glad to have those teachings.
Ais looked on with interest, and smiled a little. She herself would be the same way. She is so glad to be in her familia, and she refuses to leave, the Loki Familia is her family, and she will never change that.
Loki looked on with slight disappointment. It was a shame, a tactical mind like his, and his strength at a level one would have been amazing in her familia. Even though she may not like Hestia, she will never try to steal from others, especially, how much he truly cares for her and his familia, not matter how small. She can truly respect that. Loki just had an easy going smile.
"Oh well, can't win them all, and thank you so much for helping my children." Loki said. Jaune just smiled at her, glad that she was understanding.
"Thank you so much for understanding, and I have no problem with helping people, I met Tiona when I first got here, and I follow what my mom has always said to me: "Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet." Jaune said to her, that caused Loki and Ais to smile at that, they liked that saying themselves. But Jaune wasn't done yet.
"It may sound dangerous sure, but knowing when someone could be your friend is a great chance, and I will not waste that opportunity." Jaune said to them with his trade mark goofy smile. The girls there just giggled slightly at that. Jaune then heard a little girl laughing too.
He looked down next to Loki, and saw the girl he saved. He knelt down and rubbed her head. Since she had animal ears they were sensitive, and the way he rubbed them, made her happy. It was like having her father or mother rub them. So she leaned into it.
"I am glad you found someone who helped you, stay close, and she may find your family." Jaune said to her. The little girl just smiled and nodded.
"Yeah I will help her find her family, but I got to ask, how are you in this area, I heard shrimp was out and about?" Loki questioned. Jaune then got a serious look standing at his full height. Jaune then told her how he was launched, how a monster was chasing after their goddess, and how he protected his familia mate/ captain from said monster, and how he crashed into the monster that her children was fighting.
Loki, Ais, and the girl's eyes widen in horror at that. They were surprised and glad that he was alive, surprised that he even survived, and that a monster was chasing a goddess of all things. That was dangerous, and they needed to move quickly.
"Alright I won't hold you two make sure you find shorty, Ais while your cleaning up keep an eye out for them, you know what Hestia looks like, and that boy you know about." Loki got serious and essentially ordered Ais, said Sword Princess nodded at that. Loki then looked at Jaune.
"You stick with Ais, you will be able to find them better, and quicker with her with you, sound like a plan?" Loki said to Jaune. He just nodded in agreement. Loki ended up smiling.
"Alright, with that out of the way. I will help this little one find her family, take care." Loki said about to walk away. The little girls ran to Jaune and hugged him, thanking him. Jaune just smiled and hugged her back. She let go and ran to Loki.
"Alright with that out of the way, lead the way." Jaune said to Ais. Ais just nodded, and was about to run off with him, but paused, and looked at the sword Loki gave her. The sword she currently had was still strong and intact, she didn't need an extra right now. She gave the sword to Jaune. Jaune just looked utterly surprised at that, he was about to voice his concerns but Ais stopped him.
"It's so you can fight better. Even though you were able to do…some damage…you still need a weapon." Ais said to Jaune. Jaune could only stare frozen at her. He agreed with her, a weapon could help, he unsheathed the weapon. It looked like a saber, and a rapier slightly. He gave a somber look, he remembered Weiss, he misses everyone still. Granted he is used to a sword like Crocea Mors, so he will need to work with what he got.
"I am not used to this kind of sword, but I will use it greatly thank you." Jaune said smiling slightly at her. She just nodded and they ran toward the nearest monster.
He would just look around but he doesn't know where Bell and Hestia are. He would miss them, or worse, one of them could be seriously hurt. So sticking with Ais is the best option, and was it the best.
Jaune was able to take down a few Orcs running around, but Ais was doing majority of the work, due to her being faster. She was graceful. It was like looking at Weiss. How she danced around the battlefield a graceful dancer, and so amazing to look at, both deadliness and beauty. And at the same time. It was like looking at Pyrrha.
An even more graceful warrior, so sure of herself, and so powerful, truly amazing. Jaune wondered how many does that make now. He was able to keep about 4 of the big magic stones. He could probably get a good amount of Valis, but they still had millions left over.
He followed Ais again, he always heard cheers for them for fighting and helping people. But this sounded louder, and groups around an area. He ran towards the area, with Ais. He could here Hestia, congratulating Bell. Ais was smiling, and Jaune was about to run over, but he stopped and gave Ais the sword back.
"Thank you so much Ais, I hope to see all of you again soon." Jaune said to her running over to his familia. Ais was going to stop him. She wanted him to keep the sword as a thank you for helping her friends. But all she could do was smile at them. She managed to see Bell finish off the Silver Back. She was glad to see the boy she saved alright, and strong.
As she was walking away, she froze in realization.
'I could have asked Jaune to apologize to Bell for me!' Ais thought to herself, missing the opportunity. She slouched sadly in some sadness but got back up. She will find another opportunity in the future.
Bell and Hestia were celebrating, Bell's victory. Gifting him that amazing knife was truly amazing. Hestia requested, if it was possible for others in the Familia be able to use it, so they could use it when they need to. Hephaestus eagerly agreed, she was able to talk to Jaune about his weapon, she is planning to do the same thing with the Hestia Knife, just bigger. She still has the materials, and she said the metal used in Crocea Mors is truly amazing. So there shouldn't be too much trouble, to reforge it.
Bell thanked Hestia so much with Hestia rubbing her cheek on his cheek. The moment stopped when they heard a voice.
"Bell, Hestia!" They heard Jaune yell out to them. He was running toward him. They both got up and hugged him eagerly. Bell saw Jaune as an older brother figure for the most part. And Hestia doesn't see him in a romantic sense like she does with Bell. But she will admit she loves to hug him, and hold him. Almost like a mother, but not really.
"Jaune we were so worried when you got hit, we thought you were so seriously hurt!" Hestia yelled out, with Bell agreeing with her. Jaune just smiled and laughed a little.
"I thought so too, but I felt that I could have beaten that thing, especially when it hit me. I landed into a different battle, able to save some people." Jaune said. This caused Hestia to freeze slightly. She was worried with someone from a different familia would see that he was way stronger than a level 1 and they will try something. Bell was going to say something amazingly to him, but Hestia stopped him.
"Jaune who did you help?" Hestia questioned him. Jaune started laughing a little awkwardly.
After Jaune was finished with explaining with what happened. Bell was shocked. Shocked that Jaune was able to help such high level adventurers, especially Ais Wallenstein! It was amazing, it was ludicrous, it was awe inspiring it was-
"A big issue now." Hestia said in a sad tone. This confused both Jaune and Bell. Hestia seen this, and then explained.
"I am not well liked with a lot of the gods, especially Loki, and knowing her, she might ask something, about you joining her familia." Hestia said. This caused Bell again to freeze, and his blood to go cold. He didn't want Jaune gone, he couldn't let that happen, he couldn't! Jaune then spoke up a little sheepish.
"Yeah about that." Jaune said, with Hestia looking at him with slight dread. "She did ask me to join her." Jaune finished. Everyone around could feel the air turning severely cold. Hestia was livid.
"THAT FLAT CHESTED GODDESS! SHE WILL HAVE TO PRY YOU FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS BEFORE SHE GETS TO ONE OF MY CHILDREN! WHEN I SEE HER AGAIN I'LL-" Hestia blew up. But she stopped by Jaune.
"Hestia stop! It's ok, I told her no, and she respected my choice, I guess it was a thank you for helping her familia." Jaune said to her, causing Hestia to sigh in relief. And she started wobbling.
"W-well that's gooooodd~." Hestia started to fall unconscious, but Bell caught her.
Both Jaune and Bell freaked out, and took her to the guild. They told them she was just exhausted. That caused them to breath in relief. They were heading home when Syr stopped them, and said Hestia, could rest here. After hours until she woke up, Syr whispered to Bell that, "She fell in love, with what she saw." Bell was blushing up a storm with Jaune listening, he just smiled slightly. And oddly enough, sadly?
Deep down, he wishes he could find love, and seeing Bell being loved on by a beautiful waitress, and a literal goddess falling in love with him. It was a sight to see, but again, being a third wheel is never fun. But, all he could do was wait.
Hestia woke up and called them in, looking for them. She was saying of how proud they are for them. The way they fought and survived it was truly amazing.
Bell was crying a little for the praise and Jaune felt the emotion there too. Then Jaune had to address the elephant in the room.
"Hestia before everything happened, you said we had a meeting with Hephaestus?" Jaune asked. Hestia perked up at that, she had joy in her eyes. She was excited the meeting again. Hestia eagerly nodded to him.
"Uh huh, your meeting is in a few days. We are both going, your weapon is special in her eyes, and she wants your take on it, and to make it even better than now!" Hestia said. She was happy with how Hephaestus was happy with the new technology. And a new challenge! Seeing her like that was truly amazing! Jaune, and Bell looked on with shock, with Jaune smiling slightly. He was able to make Crocea Mors even stronger, with this she could be able to help out everyone when he needs to!
Deep in the dungeon, of the middle floors, it was quiet. But then a wall was opening, it seemed that a new monster was about to be born. But out of it came out a liquid…..a thick black liquid. It was almost like tar, and deep in that 'sludge', was the eyes of red rage!

And I want to say I am so sorry for taking so long to create a new chapter for my stories. I was lazy, and I couldn't think of what to write, so please bear with me. And Jaune fought with the Loki familia, and they can see he is more special than others. So lets see, how this will go.
