I returned to our hideout later that day, picking up a stone from an old wire spool. Tossing it in the air for a moment, I looked up at the 'DANGER FLYING ROCKS' sign that was dented from months of use. I tossed the rock at it, and the sign folded back against the wall, the grate over the stairs rose up and I quickly slipped into the stairwell to head up. I jogged up the stairs, my heels clanking against the metal staircase. Pushing open the door, I was met with the patched glass window, peeling paint and various spray painted tags that we had done in the time between becoming friends and leaving for Auradon. There were two bedrooms, one for the boys, and then one for us girls. Evie was sitting on the worn couch with a calm look on her face. "Wasn't here?" I asked.

"Nope." Evie said, popping the 'P'. "Just waiting on the boys."

"Well, she wasn't at Curl up and Dye, side note, Dizzy wants to see you, and I called for a meeting with Uma."

"Are you sure that's a good idea?"

"If anyone is on the island, Uma knows about it." I heard the creak of the gate and Carlos and Jay walked into the hideout.

"She wasn't at Dragon Hall." Carlos announced.

"Or on Main Street." Jay added. "The Bargain Castle was clean too. Where could she be?"

"Hey." An irritated voice echoed from the speaking horn in the corner of the room. I headed over to it. "I know you're there, Hearts, Harry said to meet here."

"Is that Uma?" I pulled the speaking pipe toward me.

"Hey, Uma." I greeted. "Yeah, I'm here, I'm coming down."

"Hurry up, I don't have all day."

"Are you sure you should talk to her?" Jay asked, catching my arm.

"You want to find Mal, right?" I asked him. "I'm only doing this because I don't trust what Mal's got bookmarked in her Spellbook." Jay nodded and let go of my arm.

"Be safe." Carlos pleaded.

"I'm the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, raised on the Isle." I headed downstairs, pushing the gate open to reveal Uma, arms crossed with a glare set in her eyes. "Hi, Uma." I greeted.

"What do you want?" Uma asked. I sighed.

"Look, first off, I'm sorry." Uma raised an eyebrow. "I was…a terrible friend. I don't have much of an excuse, but you know what it was like, if you were in with Mal, you were protected. I was going to come talk to you but then we were invited to Auradon, and then I met my family and…" I sighed. "That's a story for another day."

"Never thought I'd see you apologise." Uma commented.

"I've learned a lot the last couple of years."

"Two years, in fact."

"I know anything I say won't make up for how much I've hurt you, but I am sorry, Uma. If you help us, then I will do anything to earn back your trust."

"Anything?" Uma wondered, stepping forward.

"I swear it."

"I want off the Isle, me and my crew."

"I can do that." I responded. "My Kingdom will welcome you."

"What, Auradon?" Uma scoffed. "They wouldn't let us there."

"No, not Auradon, the Enchanted Forest, my birth Realm."

"Then we got a deal." Uma offered her hand I reached forward and shook it. Uma gripped my hand and pulled me close. "But if you go back on this, then I will never forgive you, ever, for the rest of my life."

"I get it." I responded. Uma let go of my hand.

"So, what do you need?"

"Has Mal shown up on the Isle in the past day or so?"

"Mal?" Uma repeated. "You're looking for her?"

"Mal's been…difficult to say the lest, and it's for everyone's safety that we find her."

"Well, no one's come on the Island since you and the others." My eyebrows pinched together.

"Mal's not here?" By the gods…of Mal wasn't on the Isle…where was she? And what was she doing?
