Being Hostages
Ray and Rachel were sitting on the ground by the wall with their hands above their head. Their captors had the two at gun point. The brother was nervous, looking at each of their captors. The sister, meanwhile, was relaxed almost bored.
"So, you have us hostage, now what?" Rachel said.
"Shut the fuck up." Jordan shouted at her.
Rachel rolled her eyes. This was about to go off, but Owen go a hold of him before he could do anything. Despite the threat and the fight, between the two males, she still looked bored. The look of boredom unnerved the rest of the group.
"Are you not scored?" Nora asked shakily.
Rachel shrugged. "Not my first time."
Owen managed to calm Jordan down and took his gun. "Now, how do we get into Jackson."
"You can't." Rachel said blandly.
Abby giving her a glare came up with an idea. "We use them to enter, you two will tell them we are here to trade."
"I don't think that plan is going to work." Rachel said using her right pointer finger to point outside.
Owen turns to see a flare in the air. "We have to run." He told his group.
The rest of the group turns to see the flare. "Shit." Abby said.
Rachel then started laughing hysterically. "Wow, this is funny you all travelled from Seattle, and you all failed in your objective."
Abby turned towards the laughing girl and walked towards her and kicked her in the stomach. "Shut up."
This did not stop Rachel from laughing. "Really… a kick… I had worse."
"Perra loca." Manny muttered before noticing the scar on the side of her head.
Rachel noticing Manny's look decided to speak. "Like it, the leader of a pack of hunters took an interest in me and marked me."
The sister showed the group the scar that went down her neck and looked to go down even further. "For 5 days a hunter with illusions of grandeur would call me princess before he would rape me, so a kick is like a poke in the nose for you."
Everyone in the opposing group widened their eyes in shock. "Surely you Wolves heard of what people would do outside the walls of the Quarantine Zones?" Rachel asked them concededly.
"Fuck." Mel said quietly.
Ray just looked at his sister sadly, remembering those days they were separated and the final day when their father went to that hunter camp and different. He saw the group stare in shock at his sister all of them unmoving.
Owen shook his head, refocusing himself. "Listen we need to go before the entire town arrives for our heads."
"Are you saying that we should give up?" Abby asked.
"Yes!" Owen answered frustrated. "We don't have the element of surprise we have been identified, and the town knows where we are!"
"We have hostages." Abby argued.
"You think this will be the first time another group held some of their people hostage." Owen pointed.
"Well, it's too late now." Leah said.
The group turns and look out the large window to three individuals in front of the gate. "Chances are there is a sniper somewhere." Manny said.
"Fuck." Nick swore.
"What makes you think that?" Nora asked.
"The flare was from the right and I see a hill up there."
"Then let's get away from the windows." Abby ordered.
The others complied when the sound of around 20 horses come galloping towards the mansion. "Shit." Abby said.
"Now what?" Mel asked desperately.
