Standoff

At the Baldwin estate, 20 horses carrying 22 armed men and women. Graham, riding on the back of Joel's horse. Once they reach the gate, everyone got off their horse and approached Ellie, Eve, and Jesse.

"What's the situation?" Graham asked.

"Rachel and Ray are being held by gunpoint of the second floor on the opposite side of the windows." Eve answered. "Tommy is up on the hill with his riffle at the ready."

"Good." Graham said. "Susan, I want you and five others to head to the back, stay together."

"Yes general!" Susan said as she pulled out a sniper rifle before going around the side with 5 others.

"Someone give me a megaphone." Graham shouted.

Someone raced over and handed him a megaphone. "Attention, we have you surrounded, we know that you have hostages."

In the mansion, the group of Wolves were nervous, almost panicking. "Abby what do we do?" Leah asked frantically.

"Calm down." Abby told her. "We may be able to squeeze our way out of this."

"How?" Owen asked frustrated with Abby's stubbornness.

"We will go out the back."

"They have us surrounded remember."

"Shit."

"We wish to solve this peacefully, we ask for one of you to come out to talk terms." Graham said.

"I'll go out." Owen said.

"What, Owen…" Mel tried to say but she was interrupted.

"Mel, I know but I think I'm the best one to talk with them."

"I'm in agreement." Manny said.

Abby turned toward Manny. He gave her a look that told her to not argue. "Alright."

"If you can get us out of this more power to you Owen." Nick said.

The rest nodded in agreement. Owen nodded and headed out; Abby followed behind him. They entered the garage and the two opened the garage door.

Turning toward Owen asked. "You okay."

"Yeah."

"Good luck."

"Thanks." Owen said exiting the garage with his hands in the air.

On top of the hill, Tommy had his sight on Owen. He watches as the young man slowly walks toward the gate.

Graham saw Owen approach the gate. "Did they choose you to speak for your group kid?"

"Yeah." Owen said nervously.

The general sighed. "Are the hostages alright."

Owen nodded his head. "Good." Graham said. "Now let's talk, what shall we call you?"

"Owen."

"Well Owen, you can call me Graham."

"Alright."

"Now the hostages are they alright?"

"Yeah."

"Good, I believe, but I ask to see them for myself."

"I don't…"

"I will go unarmed, with the exception of the cane."

Looking around, he saw over a dozen armed men and women at the ready. He didn't want to bring more stress to his friends, but he needed to find away to get them out safely. "Okay, but you will be searched."

"Fair enough."

The two slowly made their way over to the garage. They entered where Abby pulled a gun on Graham.

"Abby!" Owen admonished.

"Who is this old guy?" She asked.

"This is Graham." Owen introduced. "He is here to make sure that our hostages are alright."

Abby looked skeptical. "He also agreed to be searched."

She quickly approached Graham and patted him down, not finding any weapons. "What about the cane?"

"Need it to walk." Graham said.

"Tch." Abby scoffed walking towards the stairs.

Owen shook his head and started to climb up the stairs, Graham slowly following behind him.

The father would reach the top of the stairs and entered the room where he saw his two children on the wall sitting on the ground. He looked around to see at least three people with guns pointed at his pride.

"Dad?" Ray asked.

"I'm here son, how are you two doing?"

"Terrified." Ray answered.

"Bored." Rachel answered.

Their father shook his head. "I see that you're taking this seriously."

Rachel shrugged her shoulders. "Not the first time."

Graham chuckled shaking his head. "True."

"If those two are crazy, I can't imagine how their mother is." Manny whispered to Nora and received an elbow to the stomach.

The Jackson elder turned briefly towards Manny giving him a brief but severe look. "Son, we are about to start negotiating for a peacefully resolution to this standoff, so please refrain from mentioning my late wife."

Manny widened his eyes and looked down. "Sorry."

Turning back, Graham ignored him. "Now, what's the purpose of all this."

"We are looking for someone." Abby said.

"Who?"

"Joel Miller."

Graham narrowed his eyes. "What makes…"

"Your son told us he's here." Nick said.

"I see them." Graham said. "So, no need to waste my time to ask you to just leave then?"

"No." Abby said.

"Then we need a show of good faith." Graham told her.

"Show of good faith." Jordan scoffed. "Those two are alive, that should be your show of good faith old man."

Jordan had also decided to approach the old general, chest to chest. Rachel watching this grinned and started to lightly chuckle. Graham was unfazed by the young man's bravado and did what came to him instinctively. He readjusted his hand to a lower part of the cane then rammed the head into the young man's stomach then used the handle and his right leg to put him face down on the floor.

"Jordan!" Leah shouted about to pull out her gun but Owen stopped her from doing anything stupid.

"Holding our people hostage is not a sign of good faith it's a sign that you are delaying your inevitable defeat."

"Fuck you." Jordan grumbled.

"Fuck me." Graham said amused. "You come here, and you hold two of our people hostage trying to hunt down another one of ours, so fuck you."

Owen looked around seeing the situation deteriorating. "Okay we will release on of them in one hour."

Graham's face relaxed and took his cane off Jordan's back. "Alright, then."

Owen then motioned for Graham to follow. The two entered the garage as Owen opened the door allowing Graham to limp his way back to his people at the gate.
