It was a boring day in Crystal Cove for Mystery Incorporated, as they sat there in there favorite diner thinking. They had nowhere to go to solve a mystery, let alone, for a vacation because they all knew how that ended. For once, the team was actually stumped, they were in the middle of summer so they didn't have to worry about college. They had gone to almost every country in existence.
"Guys, I know, we're in the middle of summer, and we should be doing fun stuff like normal people, but we aren't normal. Have any ideas?.." Fred explained fishing for possibilities.
"I don't know, Freddy, we've been everywhere," Daphne replied sitting beside Fred, as always, stumped just like the rest of them.
"Like, I'll go anywhere that has an All-You-Can-Eat Joint. Oh! Oh! Maybe, they have that place,... FoodTopia!! Everything is made of food, there. Me and Scooby would be in paradise," Shaggy suggested excitedly.
"I don't think a place likethateven exists, Shag," Louis informed in small fits of laughter amused at the thought ofFoodTopia.
"Since, we are all friends, you would've thought, we would all be able to think of something at the exact same moment. We've all been friends forsolong,.. well,.. except Louis. He's only known us for about a year, so he technically doesn't have what we all have, yet... Um, no offense, Louis," Velma described nonchalantly until she realized what she'd said was unnecessarily rude.
"Heh, none taken, I know I'll never have what you guys have, no need to rub it in Louis seemingly shrugging it off, mumbled to himself a little hurt by Velma's statement.
"Ron't worry, Rouis, I'll always wike you," Scooby stated patting him on the head.
"Aw, thanks, Scooby. You know, you're always so nice to me, no matter what," Louis said hugging Scooby's neck to his face.
"Wait, what's so wrong with us all being friends for so long, Velma? Fred asked curiously.
"Yeah, Vel, we're all happy to be friends, and that's all we plan to be, right, guys?" Daphne wondered lifting an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I think, we're all happy to be friends, but maybe,.. we should get back on topic," Fred suggested with a small smile.
"Um,.. maybe, weshouldget off that topic, and talk about the sleepover that, you guys, promised to have at my place? Besides if we can't decide on where to go, maybe we should just stay home," Daphne proposed.
"When, exactly, did we promisethat?" Velma questioned crossing her arms in disbelief.
"Months ago, remember? When me and Fred planned that sleepover, but we never got to do it, so we rescheduled it. Well, the day we rescheduled it, was today. So get your sleeping bags, and get them over to my house," Daphne commanded playfully.
That night everybody was in their houses packing up their stuff for the sleepover, Louis was the most excited to actually be doing somethingnormalkids did, instead, of solving mysteries.
"Okay, my list of things to pack is almost complete; Water? check! Flashlights? check! Pajamas? check!" Louis declared excitedly.
Scooby walked into the room when Louis wasn't looking, and crept up on him.
"You rorgot something," Scooby notified startling Louis.
"What? What did I forget?" Louis asked worried he'd forgotten something.
Scooby put his paws on Louis's legs to support his upper half of his body bringing it up to Louis's face, and licked his face.
"Hey! Licking isn't on my checklist," Louis warned with a giggle.
Shaggy walked in seeing Scooby licking Louis's face and thought back to all the times that Scooby was affectionate with him. He kind of missed it.
"Like, guys, it's time to head that way, Fred and the Mystery Machine is here, and ready to pick us up," Shaggy mentioned with a sigh.
"Alright, Scooby, what do you say we head to the Mystery Machine and meet with Fred," Louis suggested.
"Ret's go!!" Scooby replied pushing Louis's wheelchair outside. Shaggy followed after them, upset by what he was seeing, after all it seemed the moment Louis came around Scooby suddenly started spending more and more of his time with him than with Shaggy, until Louis was all he hung out with, aside from the occasional Velma.
They got inside the Mystery Machine took off to Daphne's house.
On the way, Velma started making a list of activities for the sleepover.
"Okay, I've compiled a list of activities to engage in at the sleepover, first up at 10:30 p.m. we have pillow fight, and we play that for 15.6 minutes, and then we move on to spooky stories,..." Velma explained only to be interrupted by Fred who disliked overplanning.
"Whoa, whoa, slow down, Velma, we don't do checklists. Let's just get there and have fun, besides it's Daphne's sleepover, and I doubt she'll be fond of you trying to control the entire thing," Fred informed.
"Yeah, it's better to do everything random, it's more fun, that way," Louis agreed.
"Reah, it's more run that way," Scooby repeated chuckling.
"You guys, may think so, but if we don't have it all planned, we'll take, too much, time on each thing to where we won't be able to do all the things on the list. And I'm not trying to control anything I'm just trying to help us have a healthy dose of fun," Velma notified explaining herself.
"She's got a point," Louis commented shrugging.
"Reah, Re's got a point," Scooby copied.
"Who's side are you on, Guys?" Shaggy wondered.
"Um, technically, I'm on, whatever side that makes more sense, not to make you upset, or anything, Shaggy," Louis replied trying not to upset anyone, as always.
"Yeah, and I think Scooby is just on whichever side Louis is on," Fred said guessing accurately.
"Like, I think, we have arrived," Shaggy stated.
"Alright, let's get inside, and get ready for the sleepover," Velma ordered.
"Hey! I'm the order guy. Everyone, let's get inside, and get ready for the sleepover," Fred demanded in a commanding voice.
Daphne heard the van's doors closed, and she ran outside giggling in excitement to see Fred.
"Fred! You're here!" Daphne shouted in a perky tone running to him.
"Yeah, it's me, calm down, we're all excited, Daph," Fred answered with a wide grin spread cross his face.
"I know, come on in, Herman," Daphne responded giggling at using his middle name while leading him inside.
Scooby and Louis looked at each other in disgust seeing how giddy Daphne got with Fred.
Shaggy saw them looking at each other in disgust as well and remembered the times when he and Scooby were the closest, but was immediately interrupted by Velma pushing passed him.
"Hey! Like, watch it, Velma!" Shaggy complained.
"Sorry, Shaggy, I guess, I was so excited that I didn't pay attention to who was in front of me," Velma replied as she resumed running to the door.
Velma resumed running to the door, but wasn't paying attention, and ran into Scooby.
"Rouch!" Scooby said laying on the floor under Velma.
"Oops, sorry, Scooby, I guess I'm a little, too excited," Velma warned getting off of him.
"That's okay," Scooby responded now getting up as he saw her heading back towards the door.
Scooby watched her running to the door in excitement not paying attention to a thing, just playfully shook his head, and followed Louis to the door.
Daphne let the gang in, and closed the door behind them.
"So who wants to get ready first?" Daphne asked.
"Whydon'twe let Louis go first, since he is our youngest member," Fred suggested.
"Good Idea, Jones. Louis, go ahead, and go first," Daphne nicely told him with a supporting smile.
"Thanks, guys," Louis replied as he rolled his wheelchair to the bathroom to get in his pajamas, and get ready for the night.
Scooby witnessed Louis heading to the bathroom, and followed, since he always kept Louis company in the bathroom to help him put on his clothes.
Louis took of his mini red shirt, folded it, and put it on the rack that lied beside the sink.
"Rello," Scooby shouted.
"Oh! Scooby, let me guess, you're here to keep me company?" Louis questioned.
"Ruh, huh," Scooby retorted agreeing nodding his head profusely.
"Well, just don't get weird," Louis suggested.
"Ri won't," Scooby answered.
The other three sat outside waiting for Louis to be done.
"So, Fred, we have to do something in the meantime, Anything you would suggest?" Daphne asked.
"We could play Rock, Paper, Scissors," Fred suggested shrugging unsuringly.
"Wow! That would be,... boring," Velma commented beginning her complaint excitedly then suddenly reverting her tone to a plain No.
Suddenly, Louis and Scooby came out of the bathroom, and each of the others went in one after the other until there was no one left.
Now, the gang were all sitting down on their sleeping bags completely silent, and completely bored.
"So,..." Louis mentioned.
"Reah, ro,.." Scooby repeated.
"What do we do, now?" Velma wondered looking around at everyone surrounding her sleeping bag.
"We should play a game," Fred mentioned.
"Like no kidding, Fred, but like, what game should we play?" Shaggy questioned.
"If we had achecklist,we would know what to do at what time, and for how long, we would be playing," Velma complained glaring at Fred for his past comment.
"She has a point, what is first on your checklist, Velma?" Daphne agreed right before Fred burst out with an idea,
"Truth Or Dare!"
"Yeah, we should play Truth Or Dare, that would be the perfect game to play," Shaggy perked.
"I'm with Shaggy and Fred, Truth Or Dare sounds fun, at least I think, it will be," Louis stated with an unsure grin.
"Ri agree with Rouis," Scooby warned sitting beside Louis.
"Okay, I'll go first, Fred, Truth or Dare?" Daphne lashed out happily.
"Uh, I'm kind of a dare type of guy," Fred informed.
"Good, I dare you to kick Shaggy," Daphne declared in a fit of laughter.
"What! Why me?" Shaggy asked in complaints.
"Because you just seem really hittable, right now," Daphne replied.
"Okay, sorry, Shaggy," Fred answered kicking Shaggy in the shin hard.
"Ow! Really! Like, you didn't have to do itthathard," Shaggy retorted getting angry.
"Um, well, I'm not supposed to take it easy on you, with dare you have to go all out," Fred acknowledged secretly enjoying kicking Shaggy.
"Freddie, it's your turn," Daphne notified.
"Oh! Of course. Velma, Truth or Dare?" Fred wondered.
"Uh,.. I know, I'm going to regret this, but Dare," Velma responded figuring this was Fred who was likely to dare something crazy.
"I dare you tokissScooby-Doo on thelips,"Fred dared with a smirk.
"What! That's risgusting," Scooby complained giving Velma a disgusted glance.
"What! Ew, you didn't say, I would have to kiss dog lips. They're disgusting, and they're weird and over all just,... ew," Velma protested instantly sitting straight.
"Actually, it's quite the contrary, Scooby's lips are actually kind of furry," Louis corrected unusually smiling at this fact.
"And how wouldyouknow that?" Velma questioned in disgust.
"Through CPR drills, they're very important, you know," Louis replied perking up.
"You arereallygross, sometimes, Louis. Alright, let me just getthisout of the way," Velma warned not at all looking forward to this dare.
Velma walked over to Scooby bent down on one knee, and cradled his face. She, then took a large gulp thinking,.. take that back, she knew,.. what she was doing was absolutely crazy, but she knew, she had to do it, anyway.
After a short sigh she realized, she had procrastinated enough, and pulled him into a kiss.
She felt knots in her stomach just doing it, she never considered Scooby, anymore than a friend and what could she say about it, now she was kissing his lips, and she was sure her face was probably hot pink from embarrassment.
Scooby didn't feel the best either.
He felt kind of strange for a minute. The last person he imagined kissing him, was Velma, of course, she had kissed him on the nose or cheek a few times when they were younger, but her kissing his lips was the last thing, he saw coming.
"Wow! They're, uh,.. really at it, and look! I think, she's blushing," Louis mentioned after clearing his throat.
"Yeah, sheisblushing, and she is blushinga lot, she's practically as red as a rose, now," Fred continued.
Velma finally pulled back from her and Scooby's kiss, and went back to sit down.
Scooby just tried to pretend it never happened, and moved closer to Louis with an awkward smile.
"Alright, it's my turn. Louis, Truth Or Dare?" Velma commanded shuddering.
"I'll choose Truth," Louis answered.
"Okay, Areyouand Scooby-Doo in a romantic relationship?" Velma brought up smirking as she asked.
Everybody else was at the edge of their seats wondering if the 8 year old kid they had hung out with for quite awhilewasgay.
"No, of course not! Me and Scooby don't see each other that way, right, Scooby?" Louis responded nearly gagging at the thought.
"Reah, right," Scooby also told to the others agreeing with Louis's statement.
"Well, it'smyturn. Scooby, Truth Or Dare?" Louis stated almost instantly forgetting the past question.
"Ruh, Twuth," Scooby informed after thinking a minute.
"Okey Dokey! Do you love spending time with me?" Louis wondered.
"Rof Course, ri think you are the rest rerson ro rang out with," Scooby confirmed nodding profusely.
"Oh, thank goodness, cause Shaggy told me that you said,"... Louis tried to warn, but Shaggy interrupted, "Well, Scooby, your turn to ask someone," Shaggy notified.
"Raphne, Twuth Or Rare?" Scooby proclaimed.
"Truth, obviously," Daphne retorted.
"Ro you like Fwed?" Scooby questioned curiously.
"What! Heck, no! We're just friends, and that is all we'll ever be, I don't see him that way. Shaggy, Truth Or Dare?" Daphne affirmed immediately changing the subject.
"Dare!" Shaggy shouted.
"I dare you to go without being afraid for an entire hour," Daphne dared.
"Like, that'll be the hardest thing ever, I'm done for," Shaggy complained slumping his back further.
"Um, Shag, you have to continue the line," Louis informed.
"Oh, right. Um, Fred! Truth Or Dare?" Shaggy asked.
"Dare, Obvi," Fred lashed out happily chuckling shortly after his statement.
"I dare you to kick Daphne," Shaggy demanded secretly snickering at the karma he was getting back at Daphne for.
"Aw, man, I'm sorry, Daph," Fred responded kicking her in the butt.
"Ow!!!!!" She cried out then pouted for a second.
"Okay, gang, this one is for all of us, Truth Or Dare?" Fred mentioned.
"Dare!" They all yelled in unison.
"Okay, I dare all of us to stay on this new island, Velma found a few days ago, and we have to stay there for an entiretwo months," Fred commanded.
The Gang knew they were going to regret this, but they knew they had to do it or they would lose.
Besides a dare was a dare.
So the Gang went to bed so they could get up early to catch the ferry that was coming at 8:00 a.m..
During the night, Louis heard some strange noises, and went to check it out.
He dragged himself up onto his wheelchair, and rolled it to check it out.
He quickly discovered that it was...
