Scooby, it's you, for a minute, I thought a ghost was going to attack," Louis mentioned.
"Ro Way," Scooby replied.
"Looking for something to eat?" Louis asked in query.
"Ruh huh," Scooby answered.
"So, Am I the only one nervous about going to an island for two months? I mean, what if something goes wrong?" Louis wondered analyzing for problems.
"Ron't worry, we'll be rokay," Scooby responded.
"I don't know. I guess, I'm worrying too much, huh?" Louis questioned.
"Rexactly," Scooby warned.
"Thanks, Scooby. You reallyarea boy's best friend," Louis informed.
"Aw, Shucks," Scooby acknowledged.
"But what if getting on that island is a mistake? What if thereissomething waiting for us, waiting to pounce?" Louis stated voicing his concerns.
"Rit'll be rokay," Scooby mentioned.
"I don't know, I just,.. I can't help, but think about things that might happen. I try to think of all the possibilities whenever we go on a trip," Louis explained.
"Rit will be fine," Scooby replied.
"Yeah, you are probably right. Here, let me help you carry all this food to bed," Louis suggested.
"Rank you," Scooby said.
"You're welcome," Louis whispered trying not to wake the others.
Louis grabbed a handful of the food and took it back to him and Scooby's sleeping bag. Scooby followed him back to the sleeping bag with the rest of the food.
"Well, we had better head back to bed. We probably will be up at 6:00 in the morning," Louis notified.
"Rokay," Scooby agreed.
"Have fun having your snack, just don't dirty my sleeping bag," Louis warned.
"Ri won't," Scooby answered joining Louis in the sleeping bag.
As Louis drifted off to sleep, Scooby instantly finished his snack, put his paws around Louis, and held him close as he went off to sleep.
When 4:55 a.m. came around, Fred awoke, and readied for the trip. He packed all his stuff from his house, washed up, readied for the day, and ate something.
He, then came back at 5:45 a.m. and headed to wake Daphne.
He slightly bent over Daphne placing his arm to her other side.
"Daph, hey, it's time to wake up. You have to get ready for the trip," Fred whispered gently shaking her upper left arm.
Daphne awoke to Fred's face seeing him shaking her to get her up.
"Oh, Fred, what time is it?" Daphne yawned slightly sitting up.
"It's 5:47. I've been trying to wake you up for two minutes. By the way, you were snoring, anyway you have to get ready for the trip," Fred replied in explanation.
"Oh, of course. I'll get ready. Did I really snore?" Daphne stated shaking her own head awake.
"Yeah, I know. I've never seen you as the snoring type," Fred commented with a smirk.
As Daphne headed to the bathroom to get ready, Velma had her eyes open, and had witnessed Fred bent over Daphne.
After washing, Daphne entered her room, and began packing up her "needed" supplies.
Velma looked at Scooby, and noticed he was sound asleep with a smile lifting his cheeks. She stepped over Scooby, and shook Louis so he could get ready to get clean next.
"Louis, It's time to get up. You have to be ready for when I get out, okay?" Velma muttered.
"Oh, alright. I'll grab my clothes, and wait for you to be done," Louis answered in yawns agreeing with her respectfully, as he always did.
Louis unzipped the sleeping bag, and sat upright struggling to lift himself onto his wheelchair.
Once, everyone had finished packing and washing, they all grabbed their luggage and piled in the Mystery Machine.
"Ready to take off, gang?" Fred asked confidently.
"Ready as we'll ever be, Fred," Louis replied yawning once again.
"Alright, We're off!" Fred announced as he slammed his foot down on the accelerator and the Mystery Machine took off.
They drove to the docks and tried to find a boat.
"Does anyone see anavailable boat?" Fred asked surveying their surroundings.
"Nope! Like, I've got nothing," Shaggy informed bluntly.
Louis and Scooby split up from the rest of the group by walking to the end of the dock where they saw a tall, grizzly man sitting at the edge smoking a cigarette and fishing.
They walked over to the middle aged man.
"Um, excuse me, Sir," Louis announcedtrying to get the attention of the man.
"Yes, What can I do for ya?" The Grizzly Man wondered.
"Do all these boats belong to you, or could we rent some of these boats from someone else? or..?..." Louis questioned curiously.
The man sat up straight, and let out a loud and long laugh.
"Rent...! The...! Boats?!" The Man announced in between laughs.
"Uh,... Okay. Yeah, heh, ha," Louis responded pretending to laugh and putting a fake smile on his face.
Scooby looked to Louis, raised his paw to his head, and twirled his finger emphasizing that he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed.
"You have a stupid laugh!" The Man complained with an instant discontinued laughing, and putting on a frown.
"Oh, of course, I know. You're probably right," Louis answered quite hurt by the statement the man just made.
"Ruh, We reed a roat," Scooby brought up informing the guy what they wanted from him.
"What did he say?" The Man asked in confusion pointing a finger at Scooby, clearly not understanding what he'd just said.
"Oh! He said, we need a boat. We plan on driving to an island, just off the east coast," Louis eludicated.
"Ah! Of Course, right this way, young man," The Lad commanded leading them to his boat.
"This here would be my boat. Obviously, you'll be needing a driver, and a diagnostic check, right?" The Man warned looking around for whatever company this child might have had.
"Ruh? Uh,.. Ro way," Scooby said disagreeing and not wanting the crazy man onboard with them. He was creeping him out.
"Right. Thanks for offering, Sir," Louis acknowledged.
"Ruh, Rouis, Ralk for a Rinute?" Scooby requested frequently shifting his eyes to the left in indication, they go somewhere private.
"Sure. Excuse us," Louis replied in a calm voice rolling with Scooby to the end of the dock.
"Where, exactly can we talk, privately?" Louis questioned.
"Right Rin There," Scooby whispered pointing to the water.
"In the water? Are you crazy? Not to question your methods or be mean or anything of that sort, but I can't swim," Louis whispered to Scooby.
"Ruh-huh," Scooby responded with a smug grin on his face.
"What's with the smug grin?" Louis asked in concern.
Scooby grabbed Louis by the shirt, and threw him in the water.
"Aaah!!! Youarecrazy. You know, I can't swim," Louis called out.
"Ron't worry, I'm coming. Scooby Dooby Doo!!!!" Scooby shouted jumping into the water.
"I'm sinking, help!!" Louis cried out.
"Rit's okay, gwab onto my reck," Scooby ordered.
Louis nodded and put his arms around Scooby's neck making them be face to face.
"Ah! Something touched me, there's something down here. Get us outta here, hurry!" Louis panicked splashing about extremely heavily.
"Rit's Okay, Ralm down. Bweathe rin and out," Scooby suggested calmly.
"Okay, now that I'm not drowning, what did you want to talk to me about?" Louis wondered after a large exhale.
"Right. Well, Re's crazy!!" Scooby lashed out angrily.
"Don't fret, Scoob. He's just taking us to the island, that's all," Louis answered.
"He cweeps me out," Scooby pointed out.
"Don't worry, You can just stay with me, for the rest of the time on the boat. If he tries anything mean, I'll be right there to help you. How does that sound?" Louis suggested.
"Rounds rood," Scooby mentioned rapidly nodding.
"Can we agree, now?" Louis wondered.
"Ruh-huh, Ri agree," Scooby agreed climbing out of the water with Louis in his mouth and back onto the dock.
The two returned to the man's boat to tell them that they would take it.
"We're in," Louis and Scooby Said simultaneously.
"Good, let's set sail," The Man announced.
"Hold on, just a sec. We have to get our friends, first," Louis informed.
"Fine by me, the more company the better. Hurry and grab em', matey," the man demanded.
Meanwhile the others were looking on the other boats to find a person to sail them there.
"Anything, Gang?" Fred asked.
"Sorry, Freddie, I can't find anything. You must be so disappointed," Daphne responded her head hanging.
"Not Really, I wonder about Velma and Shaggy," Fred mentioned.
"Trust Me. Me and Velma got, like, nothing, either," Shaggy notified.
"Gang! Me and Scoob-a-Doo got something, but we have to hurry. He's leaving really soon," Louis shouted rolling over there in his wheelchair.
"Scoob-a-Doo??!" Shaggy wondered raising an eyebrow.
"Oh! That's one of my nicknames for him, just like Scoobster, S.D., S., or even Scoob-a-doodle," Louis explained with a friendly grin.
"Go Louis! Good job, L., finding the boat before us," Fred congratulated as he cheered.
"Why are you all wet?" Shaggy interrogated obviously knowing the answer and getting jealous about it.
"Oh, apparently Scooby wanted to take a swim, so he threw me in," Louis answered.
"So where is this man?" Velma wondered.
"And which boat is he on?" Daphne asked.
"And is he even sane?" Velma added.
"Follow me, I'll take you to him. Oh! That reminds me, he,... uh,... isn't the smartest, but he still agreed to take us for the right price," Louis replied leading the others to the boat.
"That must be him. He literally looks crazy. He's walking around in circles, and humming the song 'Power' by Little Mix," Velma commented.
"Mr. Man, sir, these are my friends; Fred, Daphne, Velma, and this, here, is Shaggy," Louis said with a smile.
"The names Desmond, it's nice to meet, you all. Oh, here is a tip for when you are sailing hang on, the rides get quite bumpy," Desmond warned.
"Yes, Sir! Desmond, Sir!" Louis responded as he rolled below deck to stay with Scooby.
"Hey, how you holding up?" Louis mumbled to Scooby who was laying on one of the hammocks below deck.
"Ramazing!" Scooby replied to Louis with a big smile the minute he walked in the room.
"Well, I heard Fred say that my wheelchair is staying down here, so it doesn't hurt everybody up there. So as long as you stay down here, you shouldn't have to worry about Mr. Desmond," Louis informed.
"Reah," Scooby agreed as he grabbed Louis and put him in his lap.
"You know, if someone comes down they might assume something intimate going on," Louis warned.
"For a reight year old you row awot of rig words," Scooby mentioned.
"What can I say, I aced a lot of grammar classes," Louis stated.
"Risn't that rood?" Scooby asked.
"It is good, I guess, but I always hated it, because I was always the top student in my class. Therefore, I was the one always being picked on. Another problem is, I just get tired of Shaggy and Fred always treating me like I'm three. I'm eight, and just because, I'm disabled doesn't mean, I can't take care of myself. Sometimes they, kind of, remind me of those bullies when they tease me about my size. I know, it is just friendly teasing, but it just doesn't feel like it. Anyway, I had better see if the girls need any help with anything,"Louis whispered.
"Ron't you row how to relax?" Scooby wondered.
"I do, it's just I don't relax, until everyone's happy, and I guess, that always has been my thing. I want everyone to be happy, and I want to always help, and untilthey'resatisfied, Iwon'tbe," Louis said.
"Rit isn't worth rit if you raren't rappy," Scooby responded.
"I guess, you're right. I guess, Icouldstay down here a little longer," Louis muttered.
In the Meantime, Fred was waiting for Desmond to start the boat, and began getting impatient.
"Aren't you going to start the boat, or are we going to get there on my golden anniversary," Fred complained.
"Being sarcastic doesn't suit you. that's my thing," Velma added.
"Alright, keep your tidy whities on," Desmond replied.
"But they are on," Fred mumbled to himself.
"Hang On, folks!" Desmond ordered.
"Believe me, we're holding on," Daphne commented.
"Captain Desmond reporting for duty," Desmond announced spinning the wheel like it was top.
Daphne started screaming to the top of her lungs as she gripped harder than she ever had before.
"Maybe we should have gone below deck," Velma shouted to Daphne.
"I agree, this guy's a lunatic. I'm right behind you, Vel!" Daphne agreed as she followed Velma below deck.
"So Mr, Desmond, do you think, I could drive this boat some time?" Fred asked.
"Of course, you can..." Desmond responded.
"Yay!!!!" Fred cheered.
"... Not," Desmond finished.
"Clever wordplay," Fred whined to himself.
Suddenly they heard thunder from a short distance.
"Hey, Fred, need any help?" Louis wondered.
"Not Really, but you probably should stay below deck. A storm is coming," Fred notified.
"Thanks, but I can't help people from down there, so I'm staying up here, besides the likes of a storm coming is extremely low. There's no waythat'llhappen. The stats of a storm always hitting when a boats on it is like about 15%. Extremely low," Louis mentioned.
After Louis said that, the clouds rolled over the sky, and it got extremely dark. Before they knew it, they were in the middle of a storm, and the boat was moving back and forth.
"Okay, so I was wrong, but, at least, the boat isn't sinking," Louis pointed out.
"Bad News! The boat is sinking!" Desmond yelled out.
"Okay, I'll be quiet, now, and go below deck. I think that is the best way, I can help anyway," Louis whispered as he rolled towards the door that headed below deck.
When He just about made it below deck a huge wave swept over the boat, but it also swept over Louis taking him with it.
"Louis!! Kid overboard!!! I repeat, Kid Overboard!!!" Fred shouted.
Scooby heard it, and immediately, came to the upper deck to go looking for him.
"Rouis! Rouis! Rouis, say something!" He cried out looking over the boat for him.
"Scooby, get away from the edge!!" Fred demanded.
But he was too late Scooby had already fallen over.
"Scooby! Scooby!" Fred called.
Daphne, Shaggy and Velma heard and simultaneously came up.
"Dang it, can't anybody listen to me, anymore. It seems that's what got Louis and Scooby in this mess to begin with," Fred complained to himself.
"Fred, what happened?" Daphne asked.
"What happened to Scooby?" Velma wondered.
"Is Louis dead?" Shaggy questioned for once in concern.
That was when another wave swept over the boat.
"Hang on, Everybody!!" Fred commanded.
As the wave hit the boat, but unlike the last time, it took the whole boat with it
Louis opened his eyes as he saw Fred laying there unconscious next to him.
"Oh! No, Fred! Wake up, Fred!" Louis called out.
"It's okay. I'm alright. Where are the others?" Fred said between coughs and sat up.
"I don't know where Desmond is, but everyone else is here," Louis answered as he looked over at his other side where he saw Scooby laying.
"I'll try to wake the others, stay here, and wake up Scooby," Fred ordered.
"On it, Sir. Scooby! Scooby, come on, wake up," Louis whispered.
"Ri'm okay," Scooby answered after choked.
"Oh! Thank goodness," Louis said with a sigh of relief.
"How rabout you?" Scooby asked.
"I'm good, Scoobster, but I think, wherever we are, I honestly don't think any helicopter would see us, let alone be crazy enough to fly into this storm," Louis warned.
The Gang got to their feet, except Louis. Scooby put him on his back, and they saw a large hill where there stood a mansion, the same mansion they were dared to stay in.
"Is that the Mansion we're looking for, Freddie?" Daphne interrogated.
"Yes, as a matter of fact it is, what are the odds?" Fred responded excitedly.
"Extremely Rare," Velma added.
"Well, ret's hurry, rand get rinside. Rouis is cold," Scooby mentioned.
"I'll lead the way," Shaggy insisted.
"I hope, it's safe," Louis commented.
"I don't know, but we're about to find out," Daphne stated.
