Everyone was at the Renaissance Fair enjoying themselves.
One Lady was dancing on the stage as they all watched.
A Man did Fire Blowing.
While one of the ladies dressed as a Princess watched until someone put their hand on her shoulder.
It was Ben, her date, he was showing her, his Pirate Costume.
Despite him being enthusiastic about it, she didn't like it.
"I still don't get why some people insist on dressing like Pirates at a Fair,for knights," Jen mentioned.
"Because Knights are boring, they are so, Milord this, Milady that,Joust me,oh,I've got the pox,Pirates on the other hand are awesome,Yarr," Ben explained putting on a stupid voice and changing back to his normal voice.
Ben pulled up his pants and said," I gotta fix this thing."
Ben walked to a secluded area.
He suddenly heard laughing as he turned around.
"Hello," He shouted.
He saw it again on the other side.
As it appeared behind him,it was a Gnome.
It laughed and he screamed as he fell to the floor.
As it touched his face and paralyzed him.
"Uh,I could knit a sash in the time, you're taking," Jen complained.
As she saw the Gnome and screamed.
It laughed,jumped, and left.
Later on that night Lord Barry was welcoming more guests in.
"I,Lord Barry,welcome thee to the Royal Knights Fair,Huzzah,more filthy pirates, go hang out at a seafood resturant," Lord Barry said seeing the pirates and complaining.
"Lord Barry's got to relax about letting Pirates mix with Knights and Damsels,I told him not to worry about Historical Inaccuracies,more people,more money,Ow," The Gester mentioned as the Queen hit him on the head.
"Quiet Fool, our Fair should be kept historically untainted, otherwise,who knows what shambling low-lives will arrive," The Queen explained.
Shaggy and Scooby had just made it in.
"Peg-Leg Shaggy says, arrr, shiver me timbers and like, break out the barbecue Turkey Legs and the Mutton Kebabs," Shaggy stated.
"Aye,aye, Peg-Leg Shaggy,sir," Scooby replied.
"Anyway a girl could dock here?" Velma asked.
"Aye,but only if ye be in wench garb and talking all piratey," Shaggy warned.
"Yo ho ho, and a bottle of Root Beer," Scooby added.
As him and Shaggy giggled and kept moving.
"Let's see,I'm looking for a word that rhymes with,no way, I'm putting on those dumb clothes," Velma commented refusing and turning her head away.
Louis rolled up to Scooby.
"For one, you both sound like Skipper Shelton and two, Scooby, what do you think of my costume?" Louis mentioned.
"It's so cute, I want to be your princess," Scooby complemented.
"Thank you," Louis answered scratching the back of his head flattered.
"No problem, I think you look really cute in it," Scooby continued as he stood up and put his arm around Louis's shoulder.
Fred and Daphne passed Velma looking at the map.
"Man,oh,Man! This Knights Fair thing is awesome, we gotta check out the Black Plague Village, I hear they've got a six foot deep man trap filled with Wild Musk Hogs," Fred announced.
"Freddy,did you notice my outfit?" Daphne wondered showing him.
Fred laughed and said, "I don't even understand that question."
"Hey guys, look at this," Velma warned.
"And it had horrible glowing green hair," Jen described.
"Right, now, did this thing leave a name?" Sheriff Stone wondered.
"Or a business card?" Mayor Jones asked.
"Mayor Jones,Sheriff, what happened here?" Daphne questioned.
"Apparently not much if the Sheriff is taking care of it," Louis commented.
"Hey, watch it,Nothing unusual, just a standard Scary Gnome attack," Sheriff Stone responded.
"Aren't Gnomes the things people put in their gardens?" Fred mentioned.
"Posies and Pinwheels,Fred, those are peaceful creatures,Scary Gnomes are something very different,and good for tourism, so stay out of it" Mayor Jones said as him and Sheriff Stone left.
As everyone looked at Jen crying.
Later.
"Hear Ye,Hear Ye, Get your Cotton Candy Clams,just like King Richard used to eat,oh,Who am I kidding," Skipper Shelton announced.
"I thought the Gnome would attack me,but it waddled back into the shadows,never made a sound, this is surprisingly bad," Jen explained telling them what happened,trying the Cotton Candy,and not liking it.
"Arr, a Mystery fair and true, best ye be to avoid it, what says ye? Dogbeard,"Shaggy added.
"Aye,Scary Gnomes,no, more Cotton Candy Clam,Aye," Scooby replied giggling as he ate it.
"You know I miss when he was hanging out with me maybe I should have been happy with it," Louis whispered regretting his decision during the Phantom Case.
Fred patted his shoulder comforting him.
"So it's touch paralyzed,for some reason.that doesn't seem like a Gnome power,Goblin maybe,or perhaps, a Sprite," Velma informed.
"Whatever it was, it's going to be up to us to find it," Fred stated.
"Oh,Fred, you sound so noble when you say that,mmm," Daphne pointed out sighing lovingly.
"My mom is running a Souvenir Shop at the Ice Cream Moat,she might know something," Velma mentioned.
"Maybe," Louis muttered.
"Care to come along,Peg Leg," Velma wondered.
"Hoo,hoo,arr, like, Dogbeard and me could always go for Ice Cream," Shaggy replied.
"Yeah,with Peanuts and Cherries," Scooby agreed.
As Shaggy glared at him.
"Oh,Arr,I mean Crossbones and Eyeballs," Scooby rephrased.
"Arr," They both said unison.
As they ran off.
Louis sighed as Scooby skidded to a stop.
Scooby felt bad leaving him with Fred and Daphne so he went back and got in Louis's face.
Scooby smiled at him.
"May I help you?" Louis questioned.
"Would you like to come with us?" Scooby wondered.
"Sure, I'd love to come with you,Scooby, you know, I love spending time with you," Louis responded.
Scooby motioned Louis to follow him.
As Scooby and Louis headed that way smiling at each other.
"Is it me? Or are Pirates basically just hobos with earrings," Velma commented as she followed.
"Well, I guess that just leaves us," Daphne warned.
"Looks like it,Fair Maiden,Hey, Are those Lepers?" Fred wondered.
Daphne sighed and followed.
Scooby,Louis, and Shaggy were at the Moat.
"Ah,mm,nothing like a good moat," Shaggy said.
"I'll say,whoops," Scooby agreed as he belched.
Louis just sat their watching them.
Scooby walked over to Louis.
"Here you can have the rest of mine," Scooby requested.
"Thanks,Scooby," Louis answered as he drank the rest.
Scooby picked him up and threw him in the moat.
"Hey," Louis complained.
"Here,let me help you," Scooby said.
As he lended his paw to Louis.
Louis took his paw and pulled him in.
"Hey," Scooby retorted.
"Serves you right," Louis notified.
Scooby looked and notice a part of Louis's hair in his face.
"Hey, you got hair in the way," Scooby warned.
Scooby lifted his paw and moved the piece of hair to behind Louis's hair.
Scooby just left his paw on Louis's cheek.
"Is it gone?" Louis asked.
"Yeah," Scooby answered.
"Uh, shouldn't you take your paw off my cheek," Louis informed.
"What?Yeah, I just didn't notice how pretty your eyes are," Scooby responded.
"Oh,thank you," Louis thanked.
As Louis and Scooby started splashing each other.
Scooby got out of the water and lended his paw to Louis.
Louis took his paw as Scooby picked him up out of the moat and Scooby smiled at him.
Louis looked at him and smiled back.
" I want you to know I did miss us," Scooby mentioned.
"What do you mean?" Louis asked.
"Hanging out,like we did, when we took care of the Man Crab and just being Acquaintances," Scooby eludicated.
"Oh," Louis whispered,
Scooby put Louis back in his wheelchair.
"See ya," Scooby said winking at him.
"Yeah,see ya," Louis repeated.
As Scooby went back to Shaggy.
Louis just sighed, kind of hurt, it was like Scooby was emphasizing the acquaintance part.
"Look at him Mom, Is it me? What am I radioactive? " Velma questioned.
"Don't be too hard on yourself,Velma,You're quite pleasant when you aren't trying to be smarter than everyone else," Angie told Velma.
"And then there is those two,Scooby and Louis, they've been getting awfully close to one another, and they've barely met, honestly,I hope Louis will just marry Scooby so Shaggy can't but anyway enough about those two,I really care about him and I want him to care about me," Velma explained.
"It'll happen,Sweetheart, and if it doesn't,Mommy, will mix him up a special drink of Poison Mushrooms and Wormwood," Angie informed.
"Mom," Velma complained.
"Oh,I'm kidding, anyway, about your Scary Gnome, this should help," Angie warned.
"I'm Okay You're A Scary Gnome," Velma read.
"Read it, one thing I can tell you for sure, if it is a Scary Gnome you're dealing with,watch out, they hold grudges," Angie notified.
As two more Pirates passed by and headed to the Parking Lot to leave.
"Gah, that Queen was a royal jerk,yeah,I said, ahoy,ahoy,in my pirate voice, and she stared at me like I had a hat made out of live mice," One of the kids stated.
"Dude, if I ever found a hat like that,I'd never take it off," the other kid warned.
The two heard the Gnome laughing and looked around.
It laughed again this time from the other side.
When it giggled again, it was behind them.
It growled and they screamed.
They ran to one of the cars and he appeared there, the kid bumped into him as they both stopped.
They went the other way as it followed jumping on cars and jumping in front of them as they ran the other way.
It jumped into a tree and hid.
The older kid took out his keys and accidentally dropped them.
He went to pick them up as the Gnome grabbed his wrist freezing him.
The other kid slowly backed away but fell as it got him too.
"These attacks could really wipe out business,ow,or not" the Jester mentioned as the Queen hit him again.
"We'll be fine, those wretched Pirates are being assaulted,let's get back to the Fair," The Queen said as her and the Jester left.
Daphne thought for a minute and went to check the bodies for evidence.
"So what do you say now? Dad, looks like that Scary Gnome needs investigating," Fred wondered.
"For once, Fred, I agree with you," Mayor Jones agreed.
"You do?" Fred asked.
"Absolutely, for instance, Can it play popular tunes on a bank of horns? Can it ride a motorcycle in a circle? Can it spin like a top, on it's head? All things we need to investigate,Right?" Mayor Jones eludicated.
"So stop wasting our time,bug," Sheriff Stone demanded.
As Mayor Jones glared at him.
"Sorry,sorrym I just got excited," Sheriff Stone whispered.
The Paramedics took the body into the Ambulance, Daphne walked over to it and found an earring.
As Daphne looked at it suspiciously.
When the Gang met back up they began talking.
"So what did you find out at your Mom?Velma," Fred wondered.
"There's lots of info on Gnomes but nothing about attacks on Pirates,they like gems,they possess weak magic, and while some gnomes are good and helpful to animals, others are evil and rumored to work as Managers in the shady world of Fairy Wrestling," Velma explained.
"Maybe our gnome dropped this, I found it in the hands of one of the Pirate nerds," Daphne mentioned.
"Way to go,Daph! We find out who has the other one,we find our Gnome," Fred congratulated.
"I don't know it sounds too easy," Louis notified.
"Don't worry,Louis,we'll get to the bottom of it with your help," Scooby informed.
"Arrr,perhaps, Peter Squawk knows a tale or two about this Scary Gnome, What say ye? Pete," Shaggy stated.
As Shaggy squawked for the stuffed bird.
"He say's he knows something," Shaggy warned.
As him and Scooby giggled and Shaggy squawked for him again and then giggled again.
Louis just did a facepalm
"For the sake of those two, we better hope the whole Pirate thing is a coincidence," Velma muttered.
As the Gnome grabbed a Pirate through the trash can,two others that were in a corner, and grabbed another one when she turned around.
Later the Ambulance dropped another Patient off at the Theater.
"Just put him in any open chair,we're out of room at the hospital, and watch those refillable sodas,boys,you're on duty," Sheriff Stone commanded.
As the Paramedics took him into the theater.
"The little creep,clearly has it in for scurvy scallywags," Velma pointed out.
As the gang went to go in the the theater.
"No admittance, this is a Quarantined Area, besides the movie's already started," Sheriff Stone notified.
"You're showing them a movie?" Scooby questiined.
"Yeah,they are paralyzed, they can't even watch it," Louis agreed.
"Yeah, aren't they frozen with Gnome Magic," Shaggy added.
"I already saw the movie,believe me, magically frozen is the perfect viewing state to be in: Sheriff Stone informed.
As he got out of the way following the Paramedics out.
"You guys thinking what I'm thinking?" Fred asked.
"Double Feature," Scooby guessed.
"Uh, I don't think that's it," Louis notified.
"No,we need to get in there, and run some tests on those Pirates," Fred corrected.
"Argh, Like,perhaps,old Dog Beard and Peg Leg Shaggy should stay outside and guard the Concession Stand," Shaggy suggested.
Velma growled.
As Louis,Velma,Fred,and Daphne headed into the theater as the movie played.
"What are you talking about? You said you loved me," The woman mentioned.
"I did but that was before I decided to hit the road with Larry and start a Mariachi band," The man warned.
"But Larry is a Schnauzer," The woman notified.
"I so know how she feels," Velma added.
"Ah, here's a good one,stand back,this is gonna get awesome," Fred stated.
Velma and Louis sighed sadly.
"Is everything okay? Velma," Daphne wondered.
"Shaggy and I have been seeing each other," Velma informed.
"I knew it! Oh,Velma, I'm so happy for you,or not," Daphne cheered as she stopped cheering seeing how hurt she was.
"I want to be with him then he does something stupid,then I hate myself for liking him then I miss him and I see him again,then he does something stupid," Velma explained.
"Oh, you are so living my life,oh, I mean,Sorry," Daphne complained and re-phrased.
"It's not your fault," Velma responded.
"And you?" Daphne asked Louis.
"I'm so confused, you know when I told you me and Scooby had a conversation on what not to do," Louis replied.
"Yeah," Daphne answered.
"Well, as of late, he's kind of been really affectionate, a little too affectionate, I mean, I don't mind getting some attention but we did agree we were taking a break, he just leads me on every time, and then he goes and throws that we're acquaintances at me," Louis eludicated.
"Oh,Louis, I'm so sorry, I don't know what you could tell him without hurting him," Daphne replied.
"That's fine, at least you tried," Louis responded.
"Oh,sorry guys, having a lady and kid talk,oh, don't leave me out," Fred said.
"Go ahead, tell him, about both of our predicaments things couldn't get any worse," Velma ordered.
"Yeah," Louis agreed.
"Velma is having a relationship with Shaggy and she's frustrated because her affections aren't returned in the same measure that they're given," Daphne lashed out angrily.
"Um,forget something," Velma reminded.
"Oh,right, and Louis is having issues with Scooby cause after their talk about boundaries, Scooby keeps being affectionate with him and throws that their acquaintances back in his face, and he just leads him on over and over, and it's so frustrating," Daphne yelled.
Fred just looked in confusion.
"Crazy,Huh? Daphne wondered.
"Look Velma, you're complicating things, why have a separate relationship with Shaggy? When the six of us already have this awesome relationship, just relax, we have the rest of our lives to work out any problems,besides I think I found something," Fred explained.
As the three of them looked at each other noticing that Fred didn't seem to get what was going on.
"And Louis, the same goes for you, Why have a separate relationship with Scooby? When we all have an excellent relationship, you can work out the rest when you're older," Fred eludicated.
"That was not helpful," Louis muttered.
Back in the van.
"My test indicates goo is a," Velma said.
"Jellyfish Toxin," Louis finished.
"Thank you," Velma replied.
"Jellyfish Toxin," Scooby repeated.
"Precisely,and it cause instant paralysis, the effect should only last a few days," Velma agreed.
"Like, just long enough for the Royal Knights Fair to be over tomorrow," Shaggy mentioned as he ate the handful of popcorn.
"So our only clues are Jellyfish Toxin and an Earring,it's not much to work with," Daphne warned.
"Which means we better kick this investigation into high gear," Fred ordered as he started the van.
Later back at the Fair Shaggy and Scooby were all alone.
"Like,now's our chance Scooby-Doo, while the rest of the gang is off Scary Gnome hunting, the Fair's delicious delights are all ours," Shaggy informed.
Scooby giggled.
"However I do miss Louis, I wish he would have come," Scooby notified.
"Don't worry,let's just eat," Shaggy responded.
"Yeah, I want to run something through with a spear," Scooby agreed.
"I say,Good Riddance to those Sea Scum," Lord Barry complained.
"Is he talking about us?" Scooby questioned.
"I never let Pirates in, when I ran things," Lord Barry pointed out.
"When you ran things, you ran things into the ground,you, Silly Tot, that's why I run things," The Jester reminded.
"Yes,married the Rich Queen,Did You? Well, will see how long you stay in charge," Lord Barry commented.
The Jester left and Lord Barry went behind stage.
Shaggy and Scooby followed as they looked through the window.
"Like, there's his Gnome suit,we gotta get out of here," Shaggy whispered.
"Wait,Look," Scooby ordered.
"Arr,arr,arr, I'm a secret Pirate, I'm a secret Pirate, swish, Avast me hearties,oh,ho,ho, I'm a Swashbuckler, I am," Lord Barry announced in his Pirate Suit.
"Like,that is something I didn't need to see," Shaggy muttered.
"My brain needs a shower," Scooby mentioned.
As they heard laughing and turned around.
They saw the Gnome,screamed, and ran.
They ran out of the Fair and into the Forest.
"Get the rest of the Gang and save yourself Scooby-Doo," Shaggy ordered.
Ow," Shaggy shouted.
Shaggy hit a tree and fell to the ground.
The Gnome saw him and laughed.
Later the whole Gang was upset that they lost Shaggy.
Scooby cried on Louis sad he lost his best friend.
Scooby laid his head on Louis's chest as he whimpered.
"Scooby-Doo, just have a bite of boar,it will make you feel you better," Daphne suggested.
"Ohh, it doesn't feel right without Shaggy," Scooby said turning to Velma.
"Where's my Shaggy?" Scooby Shouted.
Scooby put his head on the table and put his arms on his eyes as he sobbed.
Louis put his hand on Scooby's shoulder.
Scooby was sobbing until he saw Velma rocking the bird and humming.
Scooby got jealous and growled.
Velma saw him and kept it away from him.
Scooby got up and bit the butt of the Parrot.
"Hey,cut that out," Velma demanded.
Louis saw and tried to hold him back.
"I'm trying, Velma, it won't work, he's too big and heavy," Louis informed trying to hold him back.
The two fought until they both had one half.
Velma went and hugged her half.
"I miss him too," Velma whispered.
Scooby hogged his half.
"Alright,Scooby,give it back," Louis ordered.
"Nuh,uh,no way," Scooby disagreed.
"Scooby," Louis answered.
As Louis glared at him.
Scooby put his ears down in sadness as he gave it to Louis and Louis gave it back to Velma.
Louis held Scooby close to him comforting him.
"It doesn't make sense, How does the Gnome keep vanishing?" Fred questioned.
As Fred's cell phone rang.
"Mr. E" Fred questioned.
As Fred put him on speaker.
"Hello, Mystery Incorporated," Mr. E said.
"Listen to me, you creep, if you know anything about what happened to Shaggy," Velma lashed out angrily.
"It's lovely speaking to you two,Velma,I'm afraid I can't tell you where Shaggy is but I can tell you this,begin your search at the end, and enjoy the rest of the fair," Mr. E explained.
As he hung up.
"Begin at the end," Daphne repeated.
"Scooby," Velma shouted.
"Hold on,Truce, I just want to know,Where was the last place you saw Shaggy? Velma wondered.
Scooby thought for a minute.
"This was the last place I saw Shaggy," Scooby mentioned.
"Alright,you heard him Gang, Start looking," Fred commanded.
Most of the Gang began knocking on the trees.
Daphne went to lean against one.
"Daphne, I wouldn't that one hasn't been,..." Louis informed.
Daphne screamed falling in.
"Checked," Louis finished.
"Way to go,Danger Prone Daphne," Velma congratulated.
Daphne stood there shocked.
Fred looked up and saw a ladder.
"Check it out,Gang, Fred ordered.
"What are we waiting for?" Scooby asked as he put Louis on his back and went up the ladder.
"Hang on," Scooby demanded.
"Oh, believe me I am," Louis notified.
"Shaggy," Scooby called out.
As the rest of the Gang walked in and went looking around.
"It's like a Tree Expressway up here, we could walk all around the park and not be seen," Velma explained.
"Looks like we found Mr. Scary Gnome's Private Highway," Daphne mentioned.
"Which means, finally, it's trapping time," Fred announced.
Scooby dug a hole as it fell into the Wheel Barrel, that Velma moved away.
Fred grabbed a log, and Daphne and Louis carried the bamboo part.
Fred set it up.
"What are we gonna use as Scary Gnome Bait?" Daphne wondered.
"The one thing a Scary Gnome can resist," Fred replied.
"A Pirate, I honestly don't like this plan," Louis informed.
"Remember Scooby, you're doing this for Shaggy," Fred reminded.
"Scooby Dooby- Arrgh," Scooby shouted.
Fred opened the door to the trap door.
"Is Daphne back yet?" Fred asked.
"She said something about needing bracelets," Velma responded.
"We're all set," Daphne said running in as well.
Fred put Louis on his back so he could hide too.
Scooby looked around as he saw it jump out at him.
The Gnome was about to walk on it until he saw their heads sticking out and figured it out.
The Gnome jumped back onto his private highway.
"He's making a run for it,let's cut him off," Fred commanded.
"Come on Scooby," Velma warned.
"Wait for me," Scooby begged as Scooby ran in.
Scooby saw that Fred left Louis there so he went and grabbed him.
"Thank you, Fred forgot about me," Louis thanked.
"No problem,Amigo," Scooby answered.
The Gnome continued jumping away from them as they chased him.
When Scooby and Louis came up the others were gone.
"Fred,Velma,Daphne," Louis and Scooby shouted.
As part of Shaggy's suit bonked Scooby on the head.
"Shaggy," Scooby announced.
Shaggy murmured.
The others continued giving chase.
Scooby-Doo began biting the ropes off while Louis tugged on them afterwards to make them snap.
"Ew,Dog saliva, actually, it's not the worst thing in the world," Louis stated.
"Scooby-Doo,Louis, Like,Am I glad to see you two? Shaggy said.
"Likewise," They answered.
Suddenly the floor began to cave in as they fell in the trap.
The Gnome jumped from one part of the bridge to another.
Fred stopped at the last one trying to be more careful and shocked how athletic it was.
Fred thought for a sec and decided to use his ascot as a zipline as he got in front of him.
The Gnome tried to go the other way and saw Daphne and Velma.
It touched Daphne's wrist but it didn't work.
The Gnome shocked, jumped off.
"I figured if the Toxin is passed by touch let him touch some steel," Daphne explained.
The Gnome jumped onto a trampoline and onto the ground as it laughed cause it thought it got away.
The others jumped after him.
Scooby came out with Louis hanging onto his neck and Shaggy came out.
"Ah,frolicking in her majesty's field pit, Are ye? Be gone, from there, you miserable Pirates," Lord Barry demanded.
Fred,Daphne,and Velma slid down a tree following it still.
It continued jumping.
"It's headed for the entrance," Velma notified.
"Stop that Gnome," Fred ordered.
The Gnome came running the other three's way as it passed them and ran into some barrels.
It ended up on one and rolled the other way.
Scooby pushed Shaggy and Louis out of the way and Fred pushed the girls out of the way.
As the Gnome rolled into Lord Barry and they both fell into the trap.
"Now let's see who you really are," Fred said.
"The Court Fool," They shouted.
"That's my husband,Gil Littlefoot, What did you think you were doing? Fool," The Queen questioned.
"What I've wanted to do for years,frame you for the Gnome attacks and once you were out of the way, take your fortune for my own," Gil explained.
"Ow, would you stop that," Gil demanded.
"But you're too tall, How could you be the Gnome?" Velma interrogated.
"There's a reason our family name is Littlefoot," Gil corrected.
They all looked at it and gasped.
As Gil began to explain a flashback started.
"I planned this over a year, and while I've always hid my little legs, this finally provided a way to make them useful, since Amanda's dislike of pirates was always well known,I planted her earring on a victim to throw suspicion her way, I used my toxin coated gloves to paralyze all the pirates but you would not quit, the beautiful part is because of my.." Gil elucidated.
"I believe the medical term is, Baby legs," Sheriff Stone added.
"No one ever would have suspected me that is until you Meddling Gnome hating, Pirate loving, Gil complained.
"Yes,yes, we get it,we got the picture," Sheriff Stone commented.
"All these years, you've looked down on me,now it turns out I'm actually taller than you," Amanda said as she hit him on the head again.
"Ow," Gil whispered.
"Let's go,Littlefootie,ha,ha," Sheriff Stone insulted.
"Boy,I had big plans for him,Thanks for nothing, again," Mayor Jones responded.
"Anytime,Pop," Fred answered.
"You think he would be more grateful," Louis mumbled.
Later.
