CHAPTER 017 – TROUBLE AT THE USJ PART 3
XXXXXXXXXX CONFLAGRATION DISASTER ZONE XXXXXXXXXX
He wanted to be a hero from a young age. He wanted to use his quirk for good things and help people. He knew that he'd have to face off against bad people every now and then when he became a pro hero one day. But he didn't think it would be so soon. He wasn't ready for it and didn't know what to do at the moment. Especially when he was warped away from his fellow first years and was now in the middle of what looked like a warzone. Half of the buildings were partly destroyed while the other half was consumed in flames. Dark smoke was up in the air above him.
As hot as it was in that location, he couldn't help but tremble from head to toe thanks to his fear. He could hear his heartbeat in his ears. To say he was afraid would be an understatement. He knew he was out of his element and he knew that he'd have trouble trying to use his quirk over the roar of the flames.
But even with all that against him, Koji Koda wouldn't just give up. He had worked hard to get into UA and even when others said he'd never get in, he proved them wrong. He proved to himself that he could achieve what he wanted as long as he put his mind to it. And he was able to stay calm by viewing this as another test for him to go through.
Pushing himself, Koji moved as quietly and safely as he could through the disaster zone after being dropped suddenly into the middle of it. Finding himself alone, he tried to contact animals in the area but couldn't reach any with his quirk. He didn't know if there were any in the area thanks to all the heat, smoke and fire. It was difficult trying to contact animals over the roar of the flames but he didn't dare speak loudly in case there were nearby villains.
Making his way through another broken up street, Koji froze after traversing over some rubble. Some grunts of pain were heard and they sounded like they came from nearby. I hope it's one of my classmates. Not that I want them to be hurt or anything. I just don't know what I'll do if I run into a villain right now. Cautiously moving closer after verifying that the building the grunts were coming from was not on fire, Koji followed the wall. Reaching the end, he then peered over the side to see who was making the noise.
A somewhat tall young man with a green mohawk was sitting on the floor while leaning against the wall. He had some bruises on him along with some small bleeding cuts. He was rubbing his right ankle while letting out grunts and hisses of pain. It was Togaru Kamakiri from class 1B.
Oh thank god it's not a villain! But he looks like he's hurt! Koji made to move around the wall to go to his fellow first year and see if he could help me. As he opened his mouth to announce his presence, his foot ended up hitting a rock that was on the floor. The rock was sent tumbling down the floor that made a good amount of noise.
Togaru snapped his gaze towards the direction the noises came from while raising his arms and activated his quirk. Multiple sharp blades erupted from his arms and body as he prepared for a fight. "Don't think I'm easy prey just because of a twisted ankle!" he shot out without thinking.
Koji didn't move except for holding his hands up. "I'm not a villain!" he squeaked out.
"Oh…right. You're from 1A." Togaru retracted his blades and leaned back against the wall.
"A-Are you okay?" asked Koji as he slowly went closer to the 1B student.
"Does it look like I'm okay?!" he retorted back with annoyance.
Koji stopped. He writhed around his hands uncomfortably while looking down a bit. "S-Sorry. I should've realized."
Togaru saw how the 1A student behaved. Letting out a sigh, he began speaking. "It's fine and…my bad. I'm just on edge. When I got warped here, I was in the middle of four villains. Took out two of them before I had to escape since the other two had quirks that countered my blades. I was able to shake them but ended up twisting my ankle in the process. That's why I was hiding out here for a bit to catch my breath." He started messaging his ankle again as he looked at the other student. "What about you? Get into any trouble yourself?"
Koji shook his head. "N-No. I was alone. Then found you."
"I see." Lucky bastard. "Well, I should be good to go in a couple minutes."
"O-Okay." Koji kept silent while looking around there surroundings.
After another minute or so, Togaru decided that he was rested enough. Getting up onto his feet, he let out a hiss of pain as he put weight onto his right foot. "Shit, that's not good."
Koji was about to say something when a sudden loud boom echoed around the area that they were able to hear even over the roar of the flames. "W-What was that?" asked Koji in a low voice.
"Who knows," replied Togaru. He tried taking a step when he fell to his hands and knees. "Fuck! I can't even walk."
"L-Let me help," said Koji as he drew nearer to Togaru. When Togaru didn't say anything but looked up at him, Koji extended a hand to him. When he grasped his hand, Koji lifted him up pretty easily and wrapped his arm around his shoulder. "I got you."
"…thanks," responded Togaru quietly through gritted teeth. I can't believe it. Not only did I get overwhelmed by villains, but now I'm getting help like this…fuck…how humiliating…
Oblivious to Togaru's inner turmoil, Koji began walking. "Which way should we go?" asked Koji.
"No clue," replied Togaru. "Just keep going in one direction and we'll probably get out of the zone."
"Right."
As they continued down the street while moving away from some of the bigger building fires, Koji and Togaru both kept quiet. They didn't want to draw unnecessary attention to themselves in case there were villains hidden nearby. And because they wanted to concentrate in case any of their classmates might've been nearby. However, they couldn't stop themselves from panting and sweating thanks to the heat in the area. They felt their thirst rise with every passing minute.
After traveling down about a block, they stopped all of a sudden when they saw something on the ground. Looking at closely, they realized what it was at the same time. Glancing at one another, they found that both of them were feeling the same thing; worry.
"Is that…"
"Yeah. It's Komori's."
They both looked at the item again. It was torn piece of cloth that was red with white polka dots on it. There was some tear marks on its sides. Next to it, was some blood stains on the ground that looked like someone was dragged away.
"No..."
"Follow it," ordered Togaru in a slight growl.
Gulping, Koji heeded his command and started following after the trail. Heading down a different street now, they followed the bloody trail for a while. A few times they had to stop and look around because they couldn't find the trail. While following it, they couldn't help but think many different things, each more horrible than the last. And they were starting to pant heavily, with their mouths feeling dry while their sweating increased since they were getting closer to the biggest fires in the area.
It was almost to the point of being unbearable when they found the end of the trail. Or at least, they hoped it was as they faced a soot covered metal door that was connected to one of the few buildings that wasn't entirely destroyed. Togaru grasped the door handle, turned it and pushed the door open.
Immediately after the door opened, a frightened yell was heard while a few rocks were thrown at them. "Get away from me!"
"Hey, knock it off! It's just us!" shouted back Togaru as his blades popped out on his free arm to defend against the rocks while Koji pulled them to the side and away from the door entrance. Silence followed and Togaru tried again while having his blades retract back inside him. "Hey, don't throw anything! I'm from your class, damn it!"
"K-Kamakiri?" asked the voice timidly from inside.
"Yeah, it's me. And I have someone from 1A with me too."
"O-Oh thank god!" A short girl practically shot through the doorway before colliding into Togaru and Koji. Hugging the two of them, Kinoko sniveled a bit but didn't start crying. "I'm so g-glad you're here!" Letting go of the two, she then started pulling them inside the building. "Quick! Over here!" Leading them inside, Kinoko led them to the corner of the initial room where someone was leaning against the wall on the ground. "I n-need help and I don't k-know what to do!" she said in a rather high pitch tone due to her rising emotions.
The one on the ground was Nirengeki Shoda. What looked to be a red cloth with white polka dots was wrapped around his torso. Seeing three long blood stains through the cloth informed them that he was cut pretty badly. Glancing at Kinoko, the two found her arm sleeves had torn areas near her shoulders. They realized that Kinoko had used her costume in order to use it as makeshift bandages for him.
"Hey guys. S-Sorry I can't get up r-right now," greeted Nirengeki with pain coating his words.
"It's alright. But what happened?" asked Koji.
"I don't know," answered Kinoko for Nirengeki, as she wiped away some sweat from her brow. "Both of us and Awase were dropped together in the middle of a random street. We agreed to keep on the move. Nothing happened for a bit but then some villains got the drop on us. Yosetsu and Nirengeki worked together to keep them away while I tried to use my mushrooms. But it's too hot here and I wasn't able to keep the spores airborne long enough to do anything. They just kept drying up."
"So where's Awase?" asked Togaru.
Taking in a breath, Kinoko started coughing a little due to how dry the air was. It was really starting to affect her since she needed more moisture than others due to her mushroom quirk. During her coughing, she missed the concerned looks that the two were giving here. When she was able to overcome it, she faced them before answering. "After they took care of the villains who jumped us, Shoda was hurt badly but we heard yells coming from another street. Awase helped me bring Shoda here after I covered up his cuts and then he left, saying that he'll lead them away to a different area before coming back."
"I see. How long ago was that?" asked Togaru.
Shoda thought for a bit before he replied back. "I don't know. Maybe ten minutes? He said he'll come back after he gives them the slip."
"Hopefully he comes back soon," said Koji.
"It's been too long though," commented Togaru, drawing attention to him. He could see the worry on the two's faces. "We're gonna have to figure out a way to get outta here and how we're gonna fight back if they find us."
*BANG*BANG*BANG*
Sudden heavy knocking on the door made them snap their attention to the door with alarm.
"Hey, you still in there Komori?"
The three of them were about to get ready for a fight when they heard Yosetsu's voice. They let out sounds of relief before Kinoko hurried to the door.
After getting inside, when he saw Koji and Togaru, Yosetsu couldn't help but feel a little better. "Alright, a couple more in the group! How you guys holding up?" he asked them as he went up to them.
"Besides a twisted ankle, not bad," replied Togaru with Koji nodding. "We heard that you led away the villains."
"Yeah. Led them around for a bit and I was able to take a few out too," explained Yosetsu. "Took some hits but everything worked out." It was then that they noticed he was sporting a few bruises and cuts himself. "But we need to get outta here. Luckily, I think I found a way out." He looked at Nirengeki. "You doing alright? Can you move?"
"I hate to say it, but no, not really."
Yosetsu turned towards the other two. "And you guys? Can you move or use your quirks?"
"I basically have just one leg right now but I can still use my quirk," said Togaru.
Koji shook his head. "No. Can't reach a-any animals."
"Hmm, cause of the heat, fires or smoke? Or all three?" he asked and Koji nodded before saying all three. "I see. Our options are limited."
"What if…what if we welded Shoda to Koda?" asked Kinoko.
They glanced at Kinoko, who reddened under their collective gaze, before facing each other. "You okay with that big guy?" asked Yosetsu. "Would you be able to do that?"
Koji thought as he looked at Nirengeki. "I think so?" he said unsurely after a moment.
"Good enough for me," commented Yosetsu. "C'mon Shoda." Helping him up, Yosetsu then brought Nirengeki to Koji and welded him to the bigger student's back. "Alright, done. Can you move around alright?"
Koji moved his body around. He noticed the extra weight but since it was on his back, he was still able to maneuver without much issue. "Yeah, I think I'm okay."
"And you guys?" asked Yosetsu as he looked at Kinoko and Togaru, who nodded. "Let's head out then. Keep close together and be aware." As they left the building, Yosetsu led the way towards where he thought the zone exit was. Kinoko was behind him while Koji, Togaru and Nirengeki brought up the rear.
Walking towards whatever destination Yosetsu had in mind, they all kept aware of their surroundings. But as they travelled, they couldn't help but cough and wipe away their sweat thanks to the dryness and heat of the area. Their parched throats weren't helping and neither were their red eyes from the heat and smoke. Yet they kept going.
It was when they turned into a different street and walked halfway down the block when it happened. A small explosion from one of the buildings behind them made their group stumble with a couple of them letting out yelps of surprise. Whirling around to see what happened, they found a building they had passed had collapsed onto the street. Its debris blocked the street while covered in flames.
"That's not good," commented Yosetsu. "We should hurry and get outta here before someone comes to check it out."
His group agreed and they all faced the direction they were going and began running. However, at the end of the ruined street where it intersected with another street, several people appeared turning into their street. They skidded to a stop at the sight of them.
"Shit, they heard!" exclaimed Yosetsu. He started looking all over their surroundings to see if he could use anything with his quirk.
"This is bad," commented Koji as he kept his hold on Togaru.
"W-What are we g-gonna do?" whimpered Kinoko as she moved to stand a little behind Koji and Togaru.
"We fight till our last breath," growled Togaru while letting out some blades from his free side that was being held up by Koji.
"Easy for you to say, you're not stuck to someone's back," stated Nirengeki while looking over Koji's shoulder.
"Finally!" said one of the villains after grouping together and moving towards the students. "You know how much we wanted to just leave you shits here? But we couldn't without killing ya since we need to show your bodies to that hands bastard."
"Who the hell thought training with fire and smoke was a good idea?" questioned another from the group while slapping a bat into his hand. "Fucking crazy man!"
"You said it. Now let's kill these bitches and get the fuck outta here," added another.
"Charge!" shouted one of the villains and the all began running towards the group of UA students.
Yosetsu raised his hands and readied his quirk to weld them together or to the ground. Togaru took a step forward to lean on his good foot and pointed his blades forward. Koji brought up his free arm to shield Kinoko and Nirengeki could do nothing but watch from Koji's back. They watched the villains drawing closer to them with fear and anxiousness rising within them all.
*SWWOOOSSHH*
*CNK*CNK*CNK*CNK*CNK*
Sounds of rushing ice were heard before all the villains were suddenly frozen still in their tracks up to their necks and the temperature in the area fell significantly. The UA students were left with shocked expressions on their faces. Before they could say anything, they heard more sounds of rushing ice and moved their gazes to the right. A second later, they found the ice user from 1A riding a wave of ice down a building. He came to a stop in between the two groups and faced the villains.
"Thanks for the save man!" exclaimed Yosetsu as he found his voice. When Shoto kept looking at the villains and didn't reply back, Yosetsu became confused. "Ah, he did hear me right?"
No one was able to reply to him because Shoto began speaking then and they paid attention to what he was saying. "Tell me what you're planning," he demanded from the villains.
"F-Fuck you b-brat!"
"S-Soon as t-this ice m-melts, you're d-d-dead!"
Shoto narrowed his eyes at their replies. "These flames aren't hot enough to melt her ice. And only Endeavor's flames can since they're much hotter and I've trained with him." Shoto practically spat out the words that pertained to his father. Giving the villains a moment to let his words sink in, Shoto continued afterwards. "I'm trying to become a hero so answer me or I might just forget to thaw you out. I hear hypothermia can lead to frostbit and that can cause a lot of issues and some of that may require amputation."
The villains couldn't believe what they heard and began shaking. From their fear and from the cold brought by the icy prisons they were in. And above all, the way this UA student said all that in the most uncaring tone of voice while giving a completely icy glare rocked them to their core. Immediately they began telling them all they knew. From getting recruited. Promises of pay. What the plan was. And everything else they could think of.
When they finished saying everything they knew, Shoto didn't say anything for a moment. "I see. All this to try and kill All Might. But it's a waste cause no one can beat, let alone kill, the number one hero. Well, time to lea-"
Sounds of something moving towards them from the side made Shoto stop talking as he and everyone else look towards that direction. They found what looked to be a green blur speeding into the street from an alley. Before they could even react to it, the blur drew near them and skidded to a stop. It was then that they could see that it was a person. A young male from the looks of it that was wearing a white and green costume along with a cape and helmet.
"Glad I found you guys. This place is pretty bad huh?" said the new arrival.
"Who are you?" asked Yosetsu.
"Oh, sorry. My name is Iz-"
"Doesn't matter who he is," interrupted Shoto, turning to face him with narrowed eyes. "Are you with the villains? Why are you here?"
"Whoa, h-hold up!" replied Izuku as he waved his hands in front of him. "I'm not a villain! I came with All Might!"
"All Might's here?! Hell yeah!" exclaimed Yosetsu as he pumped his fist while the others also let out both relieved and happy sounds.
Even Shoto felt glad that the number one hero was here. "I see. But why are you here then?"
"All Might's fighting with that Nomu monster in the central area. I was told by the teachers to find everyone who's been warped way and help them get back to the entrance." Looking towards where the villains were frozen solid, he was impressed. "I guess you didn't really need my help then."
"I don't need anyone's help," stated Shoto before turning away from the green costumed person. Using his quirk, he surfed down the street towards the zone exit on top of his ice.
"Hey, what about the villains?!" Izuku didn't get a reply so he decided to say something else. "STICK TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE CENTRAL AREA! THAT'S WHERE ALL MIGHT IS FIGHTING!" Again he didn't get a reply back and when the ice user disappeared around the street corner, Izuku shook his head. Taking out several items from his pouches, he went up towards the group who looked to be around his age. "Here, use this first aid," he said as he handed them out to Yosetsu and Kinoko.
"Thanks dude," replied Yosetsu as he took the medical items and wiped away some more sweat.
"T-Thank you," said Kinoko.
It was then that Izuku noticed their condition. The panting. The sweating. The rough dry tone of voices. Must be from the heat and smoke from here. "I see and you're welcome." Izuku was about to take out some binds but then glanced at the frozen villains. He was running low on them and to use them on already trapped villains wasn't a good idea. Hopefully they'd get reinforcements soon enough so they'd still be stuck in the ice. Deciding against the binds, he did reach for a different set of pouches instead. Taking out four flat flasks, he then faced them again before extending out his hands. "It's water. Sorry I only have four with me," he explained after seeing their questioning looks.
"O-Oh, thank you!" exclaimed Kinoko as she snatched one up without thinking and just gulped it all down. When she finished, she let out a relieved sound one would make after drinking something good. "That hit the spot, shroom!" Smiling widely, she then happened to look up and found her group and the green costumed person staring at her. Reddening from the collective gaze on her, she looked down and fiddled with the now empty flash. "I-I'm sorry for d-doing that. I-I…my quirk…"
"It's alright," said Nirengeki. "We get it. We'll just share the remainders," he said and Kinoko could only nod.
Izuku made a mental note to ask the brunette girl about her quirk after this ordeal. "Alright. Once you guys get patched up, like I said before, go to the central area but stick to the outside as you go towards the entrance. That's where everyone's going. I'm gonna head to the next zone to see if anyone else needs help." After saying that, Izuku activated his quirk and sped away in a blur.
"Damn, he's fast," commented Yosetsu, saying what was on everyone else's mind. He turned towards the others and took a couple steps towards Togaru. "Alright man, let's get you-"
"Forget about it," interrupted Togaru and continued speaking to prevent Yosetsu from replying back. "I can survive till we get to the entrance. We can't afford to waste time here and who knows how long that ice will last here."
"He's right," chimed in Nirengeki and they looked at him. "We must use this opportune moment and leave this area before we miss our chance."
"Alright. You good to go big guy? Can you keep on like this?" asked Yosetsu as he looked at Koji.
Koji nodded. "Yeah."
"Alright. Everyone drink up," said Togaru as he started drinking from the flask.
Sharing the remaining three flasks of water between them, the guys were about to drop the flasks onto the ground when Kinoko asked for them. "Let me hold on to them so we can give it back to him later."
Understanding her, they went along with her wishes. When done, Yosetsu turned around. "Let's go as fast as we can." They began moving as quickly as they could, passing the frozen villains as they made their way to the zone exit.
While traveling, they each thought several different things. About how lucky they got that they were able to survive this. That All Might was here and hopefully they'd get out of here without much issue. They thought about Todoroki and how he arrived at the last second and saved them but didn't show much care for them. That led them to think about the new arrival in the green costume that they didn't get his name thanks to Todoroki but how he still helped them out as much as he could before leaving.
After thinking about that for a bit, they decided to worry about that later as they continued on. They reached the zone exit and started hearing loud booming crashes. Remembering what they were told, they kept to the outside and circled around towards the entrance. And as they did so, they found several of their classmates huddled together while hiding behind some bushes along the perimeter. They wondered what they were looking at and decided to go join them…
XXXXXXXXXX FLOOD DISASTER ZONE XXXXXXXXXX
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHH!"
Eijiro screamed as he fell down through the air towards the manmade lake. Panicking at first, he was able to compose himself at the last second to use his quirk and harden his body before impacting the water. Even then however, with his quirk enhancing his defenses an incredible amount, he still felt the pain from it. His quirk deactivated because he became disoriented from the impact. He ended up becoming submerged in the water due to his weight and the speed at which he fell from above.
Shaking his head to gather his senses, he opened his eyes and immediately blinked them rapidly to get used to seeing underwater. It helped a little and he was able to see a little bit of distance in front of him. Shit, I'm in water! I need to get out of here!
As soon as Eijiro thought that, he noticed a fast moving dark object in front of him. What is that? Is that a fish? No wait, maybe it's...oh SHIT! IT'S A SHARK! Hardening his body with his quirk once more, he was barely able to get it ready in time to counter the biting action from the shark.
"Aaaah! That hurt!" whined the shark as it backed away a bit in the water.
Eijiro's eyes widened a bit at that. Did that shark just talk?! It was then that Eijiro noticed that the shark was a heteromorph person since he had a shark upper half and human lower half.
But his thoughts went away when the shark man locked his gaze onto him. "You little shit! My teeth are gonna hurt for a week now until new ones grow! I'm gonna drag you to the bottom and when you finally pass out, I'm gonna rip you to shreds!"
Shit! Eijiro tried to swim upwards while keeping his quirk on to protect himself. But unfortunately his hardened state didn't allow him to move as quickly as he normally could. He barely swam up some feet when he noticed the shark man swim towards him again.
At the last second however, something collided into the side of the villain with such force that he was sent sailing through the water. Immediately afterward, Eijiro felt something wrap around his torso and then he was practically shooting through the water. Next second, he felt air hit his face before he felt himself being lowered onto something dry and solid.
It took Eijiro a little bit of time to realize he was saved and brought onto a large ship. He also found three others around him before the sounds of water dropping onto the floor made him turn around. That was when he also learned the truth; he was saved by his classmate, Tsuyu Asui.
"Oh man, I thought I was shark food but you saved me! Thanks!"
"No problem, kero," replied Tsuyu as she straightened out.
"So, Asui saved you guys too huh?" asked Eijiro as he turned to the rest. He saw one of his classmates and two from his sister class.
"Hmm," replied Yui with a curt nod.
"I use my horns and fly with to safety!" replied Pony with a smile while pointing at her horns.
"Dark Shadow was able to bring me aboard without much difficulty," explained Fumikage.
"I always gotcha buddy!" remarked Dark Shadow as he made an appearance.
"Cool! So, now what?" asked Eijiro.
Fumikage moved towards the edge of the ship's railings. "We've got the high ground while on the ship but we're also stuck in the middle of the lake." Looking over the railings, he then leaned back to avoid a sudden spout of water that was shot up at him. "Along with many hosts of darkness awaiting us in the waters."
"So, what, we're trapped?" asked Eijiro. "Shit, I hope the others are doing alright." He thought of his newly made friends and he also thought of a certain pink skinned girl. Mina…
Before anyone could say anything, a loud booming sound echoed throughout the facility. That made them look around with fear and worry on their faces.
"What was that?" asked Eijiro.
"No idea," said Yui before she moved carefully towards the railings and then slowly peered over it just enough to see. "Surrounded. No movement." She moved away from the railings before turning to look at the others.
"Why no move?" asked Pony.
"More than likely it's because they don't know what quirks we have," stated Fumikage.
"Well, as long as we stay up here, we should be safe," remarked Eijiro.
Something suddenly hit the ship they were on that caused it to rock and they wobbled on their feet while trying to keep their balance.
"You just had to say something," commented Tsuyu bluntly while they tried to ride out the sudden ship rocking.
"My bad!" Eijiro ended up against the railings and looked over it while hardening his head. "They're hitting the ship!" he yelled out after seeing several people shoot water blasts against the bottom of the ship. He moved away and deactivated his quirk to save his stamina as a blast of water shot over the railings that missed him. After moving away, he missed seeing the bursts of wind that flowed over the water and caused the ship to move and messed up the villains' next wave of attacks.
Yui took something out of her pouch and threw it over the railing. A second went by after it went over and that was when she pressed both of her hands' fingertips together. "Release!"
"Look out!"
"Shit, what is that?!"
"Swim you idiots!"
Shouts of surprise and fear were heard from the aquatic villains as an enormous item fell into the water near them. A large splash of water shot up into the air and the resulting waves made the ship rock a little bit more.
"What was that?!" asked Fumikage in surprise.
"My quirk. Size. Can make things bigger or smaller. I threw a bolt before enlarging it," explained Yui.
"Nice, kero," complimented Tsuyu and Yui nodded.
Fumikage turned towards Eijiro. "I'd check with Dark Shadow but it'd be better if we don't reveal too much of our capabilities. Can you check what happened since you have the best defense and it won't be noticeable from a distance?"
"Sure." Activating his quirk once more, Eijiro looked over the railings again. "They moved a little away from the ship. We have some breathing room."
"Can you see land?" asked Pony.
Glancing around, Eijiro noticed the edge of the lake. It was connected to some dry areas that had trees and bushes. Looking over those, he saw what looked like a huge clearing with many people there. Moving his gaze, he found a long staircase and in the distance he could barely make out the entrance to the facility. "Guys, I think we're near the central spot and close to the entrance."
"Really?" asked Tsuyu.
"Yeah, I see some trees and bushes. There's a clearing. Some people there, a staircase beyond that and the entrance. I can see light coming in from the open doors."
"Hmm." Fumikage pondered over that. "It's possible that some of our peers and teachers might still be in the central plaza. And the doors were closed when we went down the stairs. And now they're open. But why?" His eyes suddenly widened as he remembered something. "Wait! I also heard Aizawa sensei mention someone was on their way here but was running late…"
"Maybe whoever came here opened the doors? They probably smashed them open and that's probably what caused the loud boom we heard," said Eijiro suddenly as soon as the thought entered his head.
"Makes sense. But who able break down big doors…oh, of course!" said Pony. She slammed a fist into an open palm. "All Might! He's here!" she said with a wide smile.
"If that's the case, then that's good. But we still can't stay here," said Tsuyu bluntly.
"So what we do?" asked Pony.
"We attack," suggested Yui.
Eijiro nodded while grinning and fist bumping himself a few times. "Yeah, that's more like it!"
"You can't fight in water, kero," stated Tsuyu.
"So? I can be the designated decoy. I can use my quirk even in water and even that shark dude can't hurt me," he said confidently before a sheepish look formed on his face. "Just…ah…make sure to pull me out of there like you did last time okay?" he added on.
"Kero," was all that Tsuyu said with a deadpan look on her face as if to say 'really?'. Letting out a sigh, she faced the others. "I could probably jump most of the way towards the end of the lake. I'll be able to take one with me. Maybe two if they're small and don't weight much."
"I can shoot horns that fly," said Pony.
"Hmm." Yui started thinking about how they could escape with everyone's quirks in play.
"Asui," started Fumikage, having already gotten an idea, getting her and everyone else's attention.
"Call me Tsu," said Tsuyu.
Fumikage nodded. "Alright. Tsu, what if you take…" He trailed off a bit as he turned towards Pony. "Her and can you use your horns to take someone else?" he asked her.
Pony nodded. "Yes!"
"Good. Then Asui will take her, and she'll use her horns to take myself and…" Fumikage trailed off as he looked at the two 1B girls.
"Kodai. And she's Tsunotori."
"Yes. Tsu will take Tsunotori, who'll use her horns to take me and I'll use Dark Shadow to bring through the air Kodai and…"
"And I'll be the decoy!" interrupted Eijiro excitedly.
"You're a little too happy to do that and you won't need to be the decoy. You'll come with us. It'll be easy for Dark Shadow," commented Fumikage. His sentient quirk emerged and nodded with a smirk.
Eijiro however just scoffed and waved his hand at his classmate. "Alright but still, it would've been the manly thing to do, dude!"
Yui was reminded of Tetsu and remembered how they were hanging out together along with a couple others. She wondered if these two were related in some way for a moment. She was about to ask that when she saw something from the corner of her eyes. Moving her gaze, she saw what looked to be a geyser of water that was shooting up into the air.
Before she could say something, someone else did. "Look out!" screamed Pony as she pointed.
They all looked towards the direction she was pointing and found the geyser of water reaching high up into the air. The water then formed into a sharp blade like shape before it was sent towards them. The water blade struck the top of the ship and sliced its way through as they first years jumped to the side.
"What the hell?!" yelped Pony as she found her balance.
"The ships taking on water! We're sinking!" stated Fumikage.
"Everyone get ready. We're leaving now!" ordered Tsuyu. She looked at Yui. "Can you throw some more stuff and do one right now for cover?" she asked.
Yui nodded. "Hmm." Reaching into her pouch, she pulled out an item, threw it and used her quirk to enlarge it as it sailed over the railings. "Release!" Splash of water and shouts were heard as Yui took out many more small items from her pouches. "Ready."
"You guys get ready too," said Tsuyu as she turned towards Pony and Fumikage.
Pony had her horns shoot out and new ones immediately formed on her head. The two she shot out hovered next to her before they went towards Fumikage who grabbed hold of them. Fumikage then had Dark Shadow wrap around Yui's body and then grabbed hold of Eijiro with his claw like hands.
Wasting no more time, Tsuyu wrapped her tongue around Pony, who gave a slight yelp of surprise before quieting down. "Les go!" said Tsuyu in a muffled tone thanks to her tongue being out. She took a few running steps and then she jumped from the ship using all the strength she could muster from her powerful leg muscles.
As soon as Tsuyu jumped, Pony had her horns bring Fumikage who had Dark Shadow carry Yui and Eijiro. The second they went over the rails, Yui tossed out the small items in her hands before touching her fingertips once more. The items expanded into enormous versions of themselves as they fell into the lake. Huge splashes of water were made while the screams and shouts of panicked villains were heard in between the splashes.
"That's so cool!" exclaimed Pony.
"Hell yeah it is! Bombs away!" said Eijiro in agreement.
"Heads up, we'll be landing soon!" warned Fumikage.
Looking away from the chaos in the water to where Fumikage was facing, they saw that they were almost to the edge of the lake already. Tsuyu landed in the water near the end with Pony but quickly came to the surface and swam towards the lake end. Pony had her horns take their friends to actual land and dropped them off there as Tsuyu made a beeline to them. Reaching the lake shore, they got up onto their feet and rejoined their friends as Pony's floating horns deteriorated as she dismissed them.
"You guys okay?" asked Tsuyu.
"Yeah, I'm good," replied Eijiro.
"No issues here," said Fumikage while Dark Shadow gave two thumbs up.
"I'm good!" answered Pony while Yui nodded.
Turning back towards the lake, Tsuyu looked around for a bit. "What happened to the villains?"
"They probably got scared from Kodai's bombs and ran away," chuckled Eijiro.
"I wouldn't be surprised. I witnessed the fear and panic in them as they scrambled to move away from the incoming projectiles," said Fumikage while Dark Shadow sniggered beside him. "They probably figured it'd be better to leave while still uninjured. And I hazard a guess that they're more effective in water rather than on land so that could be another reason as to why we weren't pursued." His words made his peers think and after a little bit of time passed with none of the aquatic villains showing themselves, they believed it to be true since they didn't see any of them coming after them.
"Well, might as well get going," suggested Eijiro.
"Yeah, let's go," agreed Pony.
The five of them walked away from the lake shore and headed into the trees towards the central area while keeping aware of their surroundings. As they did so, they started hearing loud booms and gusts of wind would travel through the area every now and then. Because of that, Eijiro and Fumikage took point as they used their quirks to take the brunt of them.
"What the hell is causing all this?!" asked Eijiro as he shielded his face with his arms.
"No idea but we still need to keep going. Stay on your guards!" advised Fumikage while behind Dark Shadow.
"What if more villains?" asked Pony while walking in between Tsuyu and Yui while the three of them followed after the two males.
"We'll cross that bridge if need be," replied Tsuyu as she glanced at Pony and Yui who nodded.
After a little bit more time, which to them felt like forever, they came up to some bushes that were right on the edge of the central area. And it was there that they experienced the strongest bursts of wind and loud booms that sounded like thunder. When they found the source of it all, each of the five students had their jaws drop and their eyes widened in shock, fear and a little bit of awe.
All Might, the number one hero who was also regarded as the 'Symbol of Peace', was fighting against the behemoth villain who had an exposed brain and large beak. Their exchanged blows would bring about gusts of wind from each successful hit while the blocked strikes would cause the booms of thunder. They couldn't believe it even though they were seeing with their own eyes. There was someone fighting on equal footing with All Might. They didn't think it was possible.
They stayed like that, watching the battle go on for what seemed like ages while unable to move from their spots. They didn't know how long they were there for. And they didn't move or function until they heard someone call out to them from behind.
Turning around, the five of them were at first worried that the villains they escaped from had pursued and found them. But when they saw who it was, they let out relieved breaths. For it was several of their classmates making their way to them. Koji, Yosetsu, Togaru, Nirengeki and Kinoko were the ones who found them. Tsuyu, Eijiro, Fumikage, Yui and Pony felt better at seeing them and the two groups joined together as they greeted one another.
"Man, you don't know how good it is to see you guys," remarked Yosetsu happily.
"You said it buddy. But why is he on his back?" said Eijiro before tilting his head in confusion.
"Long story," said Nirengeki with a sigh and Eijiro just nodded in response.
"Kodai! Tsunotori!" cried Kinoko as she saw them and went up to her classmates to hug them.
"Komori!" Pony hugged her back tightly while Yui nodded in the hug before she let go quickly.
"Finally, we can get a breather," said Togaru. Right as he was about to walk away from Koji, another burst of wind shot through the area. "Really?! What the hell was that?!"
"All Might is locked in combat against a beast of darkness," explained Fumikage.
"Great, another wannabe edge lord. Wasn't Kuroiro enough?" asked Togaru rhetorically before shaking his head. As he did so, he missed the glares that were directed at him from Fumikage and Dark Shadow. "Anyway, if that's the case, shouldn't we get away from here?"
"We should."
Eijiro turned towards Tsuyu after she spoke. "But where would we go?"
"The entrance." They all looked towards Koji who became nervous over their collective gaze on him. "We s-should go there. Everyone's re-regrouping there," he said.
"How do you know?" asked Yui for them all.
"Oh, we were told by the green and white blur!" answered Kinoko confidently as if that explained everything. Seeing the other group's confused expressions, she started explaining. "He found us in the fire zone and gave us first aid and these water flasks before he left." Raising her hands, the other group saw the green water flasks in her hands. "He said he's been going to all the zones to help everyone out after coming here with All Might. He told us to get to the entrance since that's where everyone's supposed to go." Seeing them still not understand, Kinoko tilted her head. "W-What? Didn't you guys get help from him too?"
Her question was met with shaking heads and negative replies. "We didn't see anyone like that," informed Tsuyu.
"Huh? Maybe he didn't get here yet," thought Kinoko out loud.
"Whatever the case may be, we should get away from here. We might even cause an issue for All Might if we stay here too long and get caught."
No sooner had Nirengeki said those words, did another burst of wind shoot through the area. And this one was so strong that it threw them off their feet while also uprooting several trees and bushes. The students were left in the area while the plant life was sent flying away since they took the brunt of the air pressure. It was when they got back onto their feet that they realized that their coverage was blown away. They were now visible to the ones in the central area and two of them were looking right at them.
It was the mist person who could use warp gates and the hands person.
Seeing the students there made Tomura grin madly behind his hand mask. "Well, isn't this a nice surprise!" He turned his gaze back towards the ongoing fight against his bio-weapon. "ALL MIGHT! Say goodbye to your students!" And with that declaration, Tomura sprinted towards the students with incredible speed.
"NO!" roared All Might as he dodged another one of Nomu's hits before shooting towards Tomura but Nomu caught up with him and struck him away.
The group of students could barely register what they heard the hands person say and how they saw All Might being pushed away by the beast when the hands person was already on top of them. They were astonished over his incredible speed to the point of being frozen in fear and shock.
None of them could react even as Tomura reached forward with both of his hands. One towards Tsuyu's face with the other going towards Yui's and he was inches away from touching them.
"GET AWAY FROM THEM!"
A green blur rocketed through the group of students while yelling those words as he delivered a straight punch against Tomura's abdomen. Tomura was sent flying back while letting out spit and blood from his mouth. He crashed against the fountain concrete that caused the hand on his face to fall off.
"Shigaraki!" exclaimed Kurogiri in concern as Nomu broke away from All Might and appeared beside Tomura within a second.
Tomura regained his senses after a couple seconds before he growled through the pain. He then noticed that the hand was gone from his face. Whipping his gaze around frantically in search of the hand while ignoring the pain he was feeling, he found it lying next to him on the ground.
"Father…please…Father…forgive me…" Tomura whispered to himself while reaching for the hand and placed it back onto his face after picking it up. The moment he did, he let out a relieved sigh but then snapped his gaze towards the one who struck him. "You…" snarled Tomura, his rage manifesting that allowed him to ignore his pain. Slowly getting back up onto his feet and while doing so, he touched the fountain concrete wall. The instant his hand touched it, it started to decay and crumbled into dust seconds later and water spilled onto the ground from the fountain.
Seeing what he did to the fountain's concrete made everyone there become wide eyed and fear engulfed most of them. Especially the two girls who had the villain's hands inches away from their faces. Shaken to their core, they couldn't believe that they were almost killed and they weren't able to do anything about it. If it wasn't for the one who saved them, they'd be nothing but dust in the wind.
It was that thought that made Tsuyu and Yui move their eyes from the dangerous villain to the one who saved them. It was just as Kinoko said. He was in a white and green costume and he was standing in front of them and their friends with his guard up and looked ready to fight.
All Might appeared beside Izuku with his gaze locked onto the three villains. "I'm glad to see you're still in one piece. You find everyone yet?" he asked.
"Almost," replied Izuku while not looking away from the villains either. "I just finished taking care of some villains on the other side of the lake. I just have one more zone left to check out. But I could help out here," offered Izuku.
All Might was about to say something when he noticed something from his peripheral vision. A smile formed on his face. "No need. Aizawa and Vlad are on their way."
Izuku glanced towards the stairs and found both teachers running towards them. They caught their breath and coming back to fight. "Alright. I'll head to the last zone then." With that, Izuku turned into a blur as he sprinted away towards the last zone he had to search for the remaining students.
All Might didn't need to look as he sensed his successor leave. Stay safe, young Midoriya. "Alright, all of you stay together. When Aizawa and Vlad get here, they'll provide cover so you can make your way to the entrance." Without waiting for a reply, All Might advanced soon as he found his fellow pros close enough to their students. Nomu intercepted All Might and the two resumed their fight.
Tomura's rage was going over the tipping point. His Nomu hadn't taken out All Might yet and they've been fighting for a while now. He saw the teachers were back and had instructed their students to get to the entrance while they stayed. The two kept their gazes on him and Kurogiri. He could feel his quirk being erased. Raising his hands, he started scratching his neck aggressively to the point of causing some bleeding scratches.
"Shigaraki, calm yourself."
"This isn't…how…it was…supposed…to go! Damn it!" growled Tomura. He kept alternating his gaze from the fight with All Might to the two pros drawing closer to them. "Get ready Kurogiri!"
While the pros and villains were in the central area, the group of students made their way back to the entrance. They were lost in thought and feeling multiple different emotions thanks to what they just experienced in the last several minutes. And two of them were also doing their best to not just collapse over what almost happened to them.
As they reached the stairs and began making their way up, they heard someone calling out to them. Turning their sight to where the yelling came from, they found more of their classmates exiting the trees and they were surprised to find them soaked to the bone…
XXXXXXXXXX DOWNPOUR DISASTER ZONE XXXXXXXXXX
He'd been angry before but this was something else. In this world full of morons, idiots and just straight up losers who would annoy the living daylights out of him and somehow always end up causing issues for him on his path to greatness, he'd never before experienced such rage as he did now thanks to the annoyances around him. It was to the point where he wished he was warped away to be on his own. At least that way he wouldn't be stuck with such annoying extras.
Two of them were chatterboxes who just wouldn't stop blabbering on and on out of fear and panic. Another was the self proclaimed manliest man in his class along with a girl who for some reason acted like she was a cheapskate medium. And the last one was the middle aged hag telling him what to do while they made their way through the area. Hell, he'd rather deal with more rain than he was now even if it meant screwing with his quirk more as long as it meant he wouldn't have to deal with the group he was with now.
Unfortunately for Katsuki Bakugo, he was stuck with them at the moment. When he was warped away from that mist bastard, which he swore he'd get revenge on for sending him here, he ended up with them. And the moment they appeared with him, they started getting on his nerves. It only took a short while of their incessant blabbering on that consisted of his classmates whining and the hag trying to calm them down that lit Katsuki 's fuse. He let off an explosion from one of his hands after he couldn't take it anymore. It wasn't as loud as he wanted it to be, thanks to the rain in the zone that weakened his explosions. But it was enough to catch their attention and they all looked at him.
And when they did, that was when Katsuki was about to yell at them to stop bitching but he didn't get the chance though. It was at that point that many villains appeared all around them as they entered the street they were on from various alleys and nearby intersecting streets. While the others became afraid and worried over how they would get out of this, Katsuki grinned over it. He'd wanted to let loose, especially since he's been annoyed and agitated lately. Even with the rain hindering his explosions and being pretty outnumbered, he still felt confident that he'd be able to take them all out.
Yet even then, he wasn't able to let loose his rage. And it was all thanks to that damn hag. Midnight had told him and the others to leave while she covered their retreat as she readied her whip. Initially he didn't listen and instead took up a fighting stance while letting out some miniature explosions in his hands. Even that metal bastard wanted to fight too. But before Midnight could tell them off, the villains advanced onto them. They fought back and were able to defend themselves while knocking out a few of them. Because of that, the villains backed off a bit and regrouped, allowing them to do the same.
It was at that moment when Midnight told them to go again and that if they didn't listen to her this time, she'd have them suspended or worse after this. That was when the metal extra grabbed hold of his arm and dragged him away while Katsuki cussed him out.
That was a while ago. And Katsuki was still growling through gritted teeth even as the others stopped to get a breather after gaining some distance from their initial area.
"Hey man, just calm down and let it go, alright?"
"Fuck off Metal Head!"
"Dude, c'mon…"
"Why are you such an asshole?!"
Katsuki snapped his glare to the right. "The hell you say Raccoon Eyes?! Didn't I warn you last time?!"
Mina crossed her arms and glared at him. "You heard me and what are you gonna do? Blow me up? Instead of acting like this, you should be glad that we had a pro with us and she's taking care of things. And that we were able to take out a few to help her before she made us go!"
"She's quite right," spoke up Reiko, preventing Katsuki from continuing and they turned towards her. "Midnight Sensei is an experienced pro who can handle large groups thanks to her quirk and physical abilities. We should place our trust in her."
"That old hag can't take care of shit!" spat Katsuki loudly and they became startled over his reaction. "And none of you extras realized that she's fighting with a handicap! She's worse off even more thanks to this freakin windy rain!"
"W-What? What do you mean, man?" asked Denki.
Fuming at first, Katsuki pointed at him. "Just like you can't use your quirk otherwise you'll fry us all you lightning dolt, and Raccoon Eyes's acid quirk will barely do anything, that hag's sleeping gas quirk is useless right now!"
Eyes widened as they understood what their angry classmate was saying. But one of them recovered quickly and asked a question back. "You're correct but aren't your explosions also hindered due to this type of weather?" asked Reiko.
Katsuki raised his hand and forced out some miniature explosions. "Not as much as you extras since I trained in rain too and my gear helps with that. And even without my quirk, I know how to fight. Can any of your useless sacks say that?"
"Really dude?" asked Tetsutetsu with a deadpan look as he raised his hand and turned metal. "My quirk doesn't hinder me here. It actually boosts my fighting."
"Just cause you haven't seen me fight without my quirk doesn't mean I can't," countered Mina annoyingly with her eyes narrowed.
"My quirk can still be used in this weather without being hindered," remarked Reiko. "Though I do admit that when it comes to physical altercations, I'm at a loss," she admitted.
Denki however remained quiet since he couldn't argue back. He did rely a little too much on his quirk. But now, he couldn't use it at all in fear of electrocuting them all and barely knew some martial arts.
Before Katsuki could say anything, they heard loud wet footsteps from behind them. They turned around in time to see five villains turn into the street they were on.
"What are they doing here?!" yelped Denki.
"Did they beat Midnight Sensei?!" wondered Mina out loud in worry.
The villains came closer to them and they started smirking. "Took us a while but we finally found ya!"
"Now get over here so we can kills ya!" said another.
"Do we have to kill them all?" asked a third. His eyes locked onto Mina with a malicious look. "I wouldn't mind getting with Pinky over there. She looks good!" Licking his lips, he kept starting at her.
Mina shivered in disgust as she covered her chest with her arms while taking a step back. "S-Stay away!"
"Not cool dude!" said Tetsutetsu while activating his quirk and raising his metal hands clenched into fists.
Even Denki became angry. As much of a pervert he was, that was too much. Controlling his fear, he stood next to Tetsutetsu to show support while getting into something that resembled a boxing stance like Tetsutetsu.
The third villain had the back of his head smacked by the fourth. "Stay focused you leech! We gotta kill them so we can get paid!"
"C'mon!" whined the third villain while rubbing his head. "We can have some fun with the sluts before killing them! I know you were eying the grey haired bitch too!"
Reiko had her eyes widen ever so slightly over what he said and her heart skipped a beat as she became afraid of being violated. However she remained as calm as she could while preparing to fight back. "I must decline and I must inform you that I'm not interested in the slightest," remarked Reiko in her same monotone voice.
Mina glanced at her in surprise that she was able to stay calm and so in control even after being a target of some scum bag sleaze ball. Wow, she's pretty cool…I should take some notes from her. This type of stuff is gonna happen unfortunately so I should get used to dealing with it properly. Gathering her resolve, Mina lowered her arms and took up a fighting stance herself.
"Ah, look at that," spoke up the last villain. "They think they can fight against us. Ain't that precious?" He started laughing and so did the others. Finishing with his laugh, the fifth shook his head while smirking. "Well, if it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get!"
"Hold on!" spoke up Katsuki, drawing attention to himself and everyone there looked at him.
"What, some final words you want to say bitch?" asked the first villain.
Katsuki's right eye twitched but controlled himself. "No but answer this; how'd you get away from that hag you useless fucks?"
Anger filled the villains over his words. "Don't worry about her when we're about to kill you, you little shit!" said the third.
"I'm not worried," replied Katsuki. "I just wanna know if you can handle a middle age woman who's practically quirkless in this rain or if you really are just spineless, weak fucks like every other typical villain."
"Fuck you!"
"Get this bitch!"
Angered over the student's words against them, the villains charged forward without thought, believing that they'd have no problem in doing what they wanted. In their haste, they missed the smirk that formed on the spiky blonde's face.
"Get ready guys!" yelled out Tetsutetsu and the others gulped but stood their ground.
Katsuki however wasn't worried and kept his gaze on the advancing villains. "Like lambs to the slaughter," whispered Katsuki to himself before grinning. Once they were in range, Katsuki quickly raised his right arm and pulled the pin from the side of his gauntlet with his left hand.
An enormous explosion was shot off from his gauntlet that engulfed the approaching villains. Screams and shouts of surprise, fear and pain were heard that came from within the blast before smoke covered the area for a bit. The rainy weather cleared up the smoke quickly however and they found the villains covered in scorch marks and some light burns while barley standing.
Not giving them a chance to recover, Katsuki blasted forward and immediately engaged the villains. He quickly knocked out two of them with some explosion enhanced strikes before his group came to their senses. They were about to join in on the fight when Katsuki finished up with the remaining three.
"Damn, you took them out by yourself! That was manly as hell!" commented Tetsutetsu with a large grin on his face.
"I'm glad your explosions still worked. But, wasn't that too much?" asked Denki.
Katsuki glanced at Denki who gave a sheepish look and took a step back. Damn pussy. "No, you idiot. I knew the rain would lessen the power behind the blast. It weakened them enough for me to finish'em off."
"You know you could say that without insulting," spoke up Mina as she crossed her arms again.
"Fuck off," replied Katsuki as he turned away from her and started running down the direction the villains came from.
"Where you going?!" yelled Denki.
"If the villains came after us, that means the hag couldn't take them out, you morons!"
"Oh shit!" Tetsutetsu cursed out loud before following after Katsuki and the rest soon joined the two.
Running back to where they left Midnight, most of the students hoped that she was alright while one of them just hoped he could end up fighting some more villains. When they finally arrived where they left Midnight and the group of villains after a little bit of time, they were surprised at what they saw.
There were over a dozen villains unconscious on the ground and the pro was nowhere to be found.
"Damn, Midnight did this?" asked Denki out loud.
"I knew she could handle it," said Mina with a smile while feeling relieved.
"But where is she and why did those villains find us?" asked Tetsutetsu.
"It's possible that they avoided her after seeing how much resistance she was giving and came after us instead. She more than likely hurried to find us at the zone exit like she said she'll do once finishing up here," said Reiko. "We should make haste to the zone exit as well."
"Yeah, you're right. We should leave," said Tetsutetsu in agreement.
"Good idea. I'm freezing here," stated Mina as she hugged herself and tried to warm herself up by rubbing her arms.
"I too am starting to feel the cold," chimed in Reiko.
"Well then, let's get going," said Denki as he started moving away and the others did the same.
Katsuki let out a scoff. Damn it, I wanted to fight more. Reluctantly going with the group, Katsuki said no more about anything for the moment. All he thought about as they made their way towards the zone exit was if he'd be able to fight some more villains before everything inevitably ended…
After reaching the downpour zone exit and making their way through, someone else had just entered it.
Izuku arrived at the Downpour Zone and the first thing he did was jump to the top of one of the buildings there. Moving to the edge of it, he did his best to keep his balance thanks to the heavy rain and winds. He looked around in order to find something that would help him find his fellow first years. That's what he usually did in all the zones he went to. Find higher ground and use it to look over the area to find something that would help his search. He had been lucky so far and hoped his luck would continue.
Unfortunately, he didn't find anything. Letting out a sigh, he then wiped the visor on his helmet clear of the rain drops and accumulating fog. Gonna need to tell the Shields about this. After wiping it clean the best he could while making a mental note about that, Izuku decided to search the streets one by one while staying on the rooftops. Activating his quirk, he took a running leap to the next building and continued going after landing.
As he jumped from one rooftop to another, Izuku looked down towards the streets. He found nothing but puddles of water, some broken down buildings, messed up streets and other debris. Kinda like the Fire Zone but this time its cold and wet here. At least I don't have to worry about fires and inhaling smoke here. Izuku shook a little as his costume became increasingly wetter. I'm getting cold though. Need to find them fast.
Hurrying up as much as he could, Izuku kept up his search. Something finally caught his eye after looking over the rooftop of the last building he just landed on. What the… Looking around the area, he found nobody and decided to get a closer look. Wall jumping down between some building walls, Izuku landed onto the floor. Doing another sweep of the area with his eyes, he verified that he was alone before moving towards what caught his eye. Once he got close enough, he knelt down on one knee and picked up the item.
It was a long, black leather whip that had several strands split at the end.
Izuku's eyes widened. This is Midnight Sensei's! Standing up while holding the whip in his hands, he looked around the area in a frantic search. He was about to go jump up to the rooftops again when something else caught his attention. Quickly moving to it, Izuku found a piece of white cloth that was stuck on some debris. It was very thin and seemed very easy to tear. Realization dawned on him and he felt a shiver go down his spine that had nothing to do with the cold environment. Looking around, he noticed a nearby ally entrance and he decided to search through it. Midnight Sensei…please be alright!
Grip tightening on the whip and cloth, Izuku bolted down the alley while a million things went through his mind. He kept going until the alley opened up into a wider path that led to a dead end and he skidded to a stop as his gaze landed onto something in the distance near the dead end.
Or rather, someone. Izuku's heart started thumping loudly in his ears and he swallowed the saliva that accumulated in his mouth all of a sudden. He took a few cautious steps forward as he glanced around for traps and when he didn't find anything, he moved his sight back onto the figure on the ground in the middle of the area. Taking a few more steps forward, he then realized who it was.
"MIDNIGHT SENSEI!"
Abandoning all caution, Izuku shot to her and dropped to his knees after reaching her while letting go of the whip and cloth. His hands shook as they hovered next to her since he was in shock over how she looked.
Midnight was lying against the ground with her back and her face turned to the side. Her clothes were in tatters with her chest and lower body on display for all. Her face was bruised and bloody with one of her eyes swollen shut. Her body, arms and legs were littered with scratches, bruises and wet bloody areas thanks to the rain. Even parts of her hair were uneven and it was probably due to being torn apart roughly. And the worst part of it all was that Izuku noticed some other kinds of…stains and liquids…mixed in with the bloody red areas on her body and what was left of her costume.
Izuku was lost and couldn't function for a moment until sudden wheezing from the unconscious pro brought him back to his senses. "Midnight Sensei!" Quickly unclasping his cape from his shoulders, Izuku covered her body with it. He was about to take out some first aid from his pouches when he realized that he was out. He had used them up in helping the others. "Damn it!" Chastising himself in his mind for a second, Izuku refocused his attention onto her. "I'm sorry Sensei. But I'm gonna get you help," whispered Izuku, deciding what to do. But before he could follow up on what he thought, sounds of movement made him glance back behind him.
Several villains appeared in the ally with disgusting smiles on their faces. "Look what we found boys."
"Hehe, it's a rabbit! I do like carving an animal up after a good fuck," remarked another one.
Izuku's eyes narrowed onto the one who said that. "You did this to her?"
"Me?" asked the villain while pointing at himself. He glanced at his posse before looking back at the green rabbit. "Well, I had a turn…"
"W-What?" asked Izuku in horror.
"We took turns," spoke up another, making Izuku look at him now. "She thought she could handle us all by herself. Thought she could make us go to sleep with her quirk." He pointed at his face and Izuku just realized how he didn't really have a nose. There were two narrow holes that looked like slits on his face. "She brought out a lot of gas. And I mean a lot. Probably pushed her quirk to the limit to affect us in this rainy weather. But it wasn't good enough."
He started chuckling while the others beside him laughed before he continued. "But my quirk lets me absorb nearby gases and use them to energize myself. I'm practically immune to all types of gases and I was recruited specifically to take her on if need be. Well, she was able to knock out the others before I absorbed her quirk. And then I returned the favor before I really let her have it."
Izuku felt worse and worse as the villain continued speaking but his anger also kept rising over what he heard and how the villain looked so happy over what he did. He started shaking from his rage…
"Anyway, we had fun with the slut," said another villain. Smiling maliciously, he took out a large machete from the sheath attached to his belt. The others readied their quirks and weapons. "But now, it's time to kill ya, and find the other brats," he said. He raised his machete and licked it with his tongue as Izuku's anger boiled and it was about to go over the tipping point. "Maybe we'll keep some of the girls and that whore behind ya for some more fun. She wasn't bad, screaming out her lungs like that while we gangbanged her. She really is the 'R-Rated' pro, taking our dicks like that and kept on-"
A white gloved hand covered his face all of a sudden that cut off his talking before the villain felt the cold hard ground against the back of his head. Knocked out from the impact, the villain let go of the machete in his hand and it fell onto the wet ground with oddly loud clanging sounds.
The villains beside him didn't react since they didn't realize what happened until the clanging sounds caught their attention and they wondered why he stopped talking suddenly and dropped his machete. Moving their gaze to where the other villain was standing, they became shocked when they found him lying on the ground knocked out. The green rabbit person was beside him and covered in electric bolts arcing around him.
"What the fu-"
The villain wasn't able to finish either since he was struck in the stomach so hard he retched before dropping to the ground unconscious.
"GET HIM!" screamed one of the remaining ones and they started moving.
But it was too late. Izuku, fueled by his rage, didn't let up and struck them down as quickly as he could. Within seconds, most of the remaining villains where knocked out except for one.
"W-What…are you?!" asked the villain with slits for a nose. He backed away from the green rabbit who scared him like nothing else ever did before.
Izuku slowly turned around to face him with a furious gaze but the slit nose villain couldn't see thanks to his helmet. Izuku didn't say anything for a moment before he started moving towards the remaining villain. "Me? I'm just a hero in training and you attacked one of my mentors," explained Izuku in a low tone of voice.
The villain trembled violently as he took more steps backwards. "No, please, I-I'm sorry! I'll-"
Izuku however shot forward and delivered a right hook that sent the villain crashing against a nearby wall before he dropped onto the ground. Reaching down, Izuku grasped the villain's shirt and raised him off the ground while readying another punch with his right but then stopped. He noticed that the villain was already unconscious but he still felt so angry. He wanted to keep pummeling him into the ground.
Realizing his rather vengeful desire, Izuku let out a gasp and he let go of the unconscious villain onto the ground and stood up before backing away. "What…What is wrong with me?" he asked out loud. "I…I almost…" He thought of how he wanted to just let loose his anger on the villain even when he was no longer a threat. And that made him remember how he's been getting angry a lot easier lately and how he had desires of dishing out vengeance as well. "Why…"
A sudden image popped up in his mind that made him remember what he needed to do. Whirling around and moving back to Midnight, Izuku knelt down beside her. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry I didn't get here in time. I'll get you help now," said Izuku.
Moving his arms underneath her body, Izuku then gently picked up Midnight into his arms while making sure his cape covered her up as much as possible. Her wheezing and groans of pain that she let out while still unconscious made Izuku feel both sadness and anger whirl around within him. Doing his best to remain in control, Izuku was able to pick up her whip as well before standing back up. Holding Midnight close against his chest while he leaned over her body as much as he could to shield her from the rain and wind as much as possible, Izuku began heading towards the zone exit while an image stayed in his mind.
And that image was of Midnight unconscious thanks to be being beaten, bloodied and violated in some random alley while rain poured down on her. Why…why did that happen? I could've stopped it if I got here faster! Damn it! I…I messed up! And I couldn't find the others…I hope everyone else got out and no one else is hurt.
More wheezing and groans of pain made him glance down at the pro in his arms while running down the street. Izuku could feel his heart beating like mad. Please, stay with me Midnight Sensei! I'll get you help! Just please, stay with me! Raising his gaze back up, Izuku increased his speed as much as he could while doing his best to keep her from feeling more pain and discomfort while praying that she'd be alright in the end.
Izuku kept his focus on getting Midnight help and because of that he didn't notice something when he finally neared the zone exit. As he made his way through, a blue eye was looking at him. Midnight had regained consciousness for a bit and she was able to open her one good eye just enough to see. Though her vision was blurry, she was barely able to make out a green head and a wide white smile. She also noticed bolts of electricity arcing around him.
Midnight was about to lose consciousness again when she heard him speak out loud some words and she recognized that voice. Izuku? Is that…you? Unable to hold off anymore, her eye closed and she lost consciousness once more…
